Ooh, this is a good question. The rules about giving toys trigger weapons seem to be arbitrary and esoteric to me.

I think the older age range you're aiming the dolls at, the more likely you are to be able to give them a gun. It would also help if it were some form of sci-fi gun instead of a realistic weapon.

I did look up "fashion dolls with guns" just now and I see there's a limited series called "all guns blazing" of Wild West themed dolls with realistic pistols, but they're aimed at adult collectors, are exclusive to the creator's online store, and sell for $400 each. So that doesn't really help with general retail.

I wonder if there are rules against giving a fashion doll a gun? Like for an accessory. The gun in question would be cute and magical-girl-esque, but I've never seen a fashion doll with a gun and I feel like it isn't allowed. At least- I feel like it isn't allowed if you want to actually sell a toy in a major retail store.
