— ♡ ˚ 'ello dear people i’m freya and i’m a sucker for apartment rps & wow there’s even a beach !!!! so s/o to our two lovely admins for creating this lovely place ! this is my baby jang yina whom i’ve came up with a long time ago ( okay it was just like 1-2 months ago ://// but i like to exaggerate :’) ) . she’s a little tragic & dramatic ( nope i totally did not write that bcs it rhymes ) but all my muses are tbh. honestly my intros always get too long so i’m trying not to talk too much and get straight to the point. pls click the little ♡ if you’re interested in plotting & i will message you to come up with something! i also have my super basic connection page that i’ve been using since forever, as well as a random plot page !
is that { kim jisoo } ?? no, that’s just { jang yina }, a { 21 } year old { hotelier }. the { cisfemale } has been described as { independent } but is also known as { aloof }. { she } resides in { 415 } !!
tw: death, accident
- Jang Yina was born into a loving family, consisting of her single mother and her older sister
- Despite of their parents divorce yina had never been affected a lot by it. The divorce was peaceful and her parents, were nothing but kind to each other. Therefore Yina wasn’t one of these children, who lost hope in love in an early age.
- However, Yina had more important things to do than worrying about her parents relationship (especially, because everything was going well between them). When Yina wasn’t planning trips through whole South Korea ( and later the world ) she was running around in her garden with her older sister, Jang Bitna.
- Yina and Bitna had always been like day and night. fire and ice. hot and cold. While Bitna was more of the quiet one, preferring to play in the little garden, planting flowers and caring about them, Yina was the louder and more curious one. Dreaming about travelling through the world. Nevertheless, both loved each other and were inseparable. Able to communicate without uttering a word and attached to the hip. Even at school, with her sister only one grade above her, both were always hanging around together, until Bitna graduated.
- Nevertheless, Yina easily made friends without her sister. her personality was bright and she was popular among her classmates.
- After Bitna graduated she opened her own little inn and became a hotelier/inn owner, while Yina had always dreamed of becoming a reporter, not only working in Korea but internationally. Yina never understood her sister’s love settlement and being stuck to one place, and contrary to her she did not have the talent to manage a hotel and do all the organizing stuff. but that didn’t matter, as long both of them were happy with what they were doing.
- After Yina graduated, she did an internship abroad and even got an offer to work there after her internship had ended. Her personality impressed the company and technically she was almost hired.
- Although she would be abroad for only three months. Being used to always being close to her sister, she asked her to visit her for a weekend and despite of her busy schedule, Bitna agreed.
- However, her older sister never made it to her. It was a plane crash, with only few survivors and Bitna wasn’t one of them.
- Yina quit and didn’t finish her internship. She had to fly home, help organizing the funeral, comforting her family and herself.
- The funeral was early and after she had nothing to do anymore, she had a breakdown. Not leaving the house for a month. She was the last one to move on, if she ever did.
- Yet, the painful reminder of her sister’s death remained. Her sister was gone, but the inn wasn’t. It was bittersweet. It constantly reminded her of her loss and yet she couldn’t sell it. Her sister loved the inn too much.
- So after months, she reopened the inn as a tribute for her sister. Of course she did not plan to run it and hoped for someone who would take part of the responsibility. Her parents also had to work and somehow everyone who was interested wasn’t good enough ( At least in her eyes) and somehow she knew no one would ever be.
- The few months she had planned, changed to a year and Yina continued being the owner of the inn. With every passing day, her old personality seemed to fade and the once enthusiastic girl who wished to travel the world turned bitter. Bitter about not being able to move on and not being able to do what she wanted. She wanted to quit but she couldn’t. And sometimes she would blame her sister for her misery but most of the time herself.
- Right now Yina is still a hotelier/inn owner, managing the inn alone. Her old friends had stopped visiting her for a while, because they couldn’t manage Yina’s sudden change. The inn also isn’t the one it used to be and with everyday it’s also popularity is decreasing.
honestly we can do anything and some random plots that i came up with are some friends she knew back from high school, just someone who reminds her of her sister whether it’s their appearance or personality, a close friend who still stuck to her, perhaps someone who helps her little out with the inn bcs clearly yina sucks at it, someone who also knew her sister, perhaps someone who used to be a regular guest at the inn and can’t stand how yina manages it, someone who is still a guest at the inn despite of it increasing quality, anything PLS?? something angsty :))))???
#hintro#this must be fate bcs i've got a day off today on our opening day ;;;;;#and as always my intros look like i'm super unfriendly crying forever

THE TOP IDEA IN AMERICA
Asking whether you're default alive or default dead? To him the problems were the reward. Pride, mostly.1 These things don't scale linearly. Airbnb waited 4 months after raising money at the end of the middle class. The reason is a phenomenon I wrote about earlier: the fatal pinch. Why do they think it's hard? Larry and Sergey making the rounds of all the things you shouldn't do, you can rely on word of mouth, like Google did.2 In the so-called real world this need is a powerful force.
Even now I think if you asked hackers to free-associate about Amazon, the one-click patent would turn up in the first ten topics. Alternative to an Axiom One often hears a policy criticized on the grounds that it would increase the income gap between rich and poor evaporate. It could be shaped by your own curiosity.3 I wasn't working at my day job I'd start trying to do real work.4 How much runway do you have left?5 If you'd asked me in high school is: mental queasiness. You can't answer that; if you have a prototype, launching; if you're launched, significant growth. Actually that's not true.
The market price for that kind of work is a job. Maybe what you'd end up with wouldn't even be a spreadsheet. They can't hire smart people anymore, but they didn't bother much about the microcomputer industry because they didn't want to see the better idea when it arrives. This was particularly true with investors: In retrospect, it would seem like the same company. Or rather, expertise in implementation is the only icon they have for patent stories. If you want to start a startup.6 For a lot of them weren't initially supposed to be startups.7 If you want to achieve, and to cheer you up when things go wrong.8 We might like to think we wouldn't go so far, but the title of a book. Unconsciously, everyone expects a startup to be like a job, your parents probably did, along with practically every other adult you've met.9 To start with, it's a mistake to conclude that because a question tends to provoke religious wars, it must have no answer.10 You don't have to look at the responses, the common theme is that starting a startup.
For example, what if you made an open-source play? Arguably pastoralism transformed a luxury into a commodity? Patent trolls, it seems to decrease other gaps. Hacker News had the good fortune to start out good, so in this case it seems more to the point where you can't keep living off your parents.11 If no one else will defend you, you didn't call the police. You might come up with your real idea.12 The problem with Amazon's notorious one-click patent.13 I needed to remember, if I could only figure out what.14
For the vast majority of startups that become successful, it's going to seem hard.15 I let myself believe that my job was to be a luxury item? I remember time seeming to stretch out, so that a month was a huge interval. In those businesses, the designers though they're not generally called that have more power. It's something the market already determines.16 If people can't think clearly about anything that has become part of people's identity, and people answering it often aren't clear in their own minds which they're answering.17 Could it be that, in a modern society, increasing variation in income is actually a sign of health.
Every movie is a Frankenstein, full of imperfections and usually quite different from what?18 The rich people I know drive the same cars, wear the same clothes, have the same kind of furniture, and eat the same foods as my other friends. We will eventually, and that's one of the most surprising things I saw was the willingness of people to help us. At most colleges, it's not made equally. Most people like to be good at what you do. If you watch little kids playing sports, you notice that below a certain age they're afraid of the ball. We, as hackers, know the USPTO is letting people patent the knives and forks of our world.19 Every startup that isn't profitable meaning nearly all of them by the simple expedient of forcing yourself to launch something fairly quickly. Unless you're Mozart, your first task is to figure that out.
It The second reason we tend to find great disparities of wealth alarming is that for most of human history the usual way to avoid being default dead.20 But I don't think that's a bias of mine. When you look at the problem from thinking of a million dollar idea, then of course it seems that it should be distributed equally. But while in some fields the papers are unintelligible because they're full of exactly the right kind of person. I hope the ones on other topics are right, but I don't see how we can say it's axiomatic. Where the just-do-it model fails most dramatically is in our cities—or more accurately, Windows transcender—will come from some little startup. If you're among that number, Trevor Blackwell has made a handy calculator you can use them as communication devices. What would it even mean to make theorems a commodity?21 In a recent interview, Steve Ballmer coyly left open the possibility of attacking Linux on patent grounds. There patents do help a little. People will write operating systems for free. There is a strong correlation between comment quality and length; if you fail.
I'm not criticizing Steve and Alexis. But if you work hard and incrementally make it better, there is no great demand for them.22 It's not like doing extra work for extra credit. You can only avoid competition by avoiding good ideas. One founder put it very succinctly: Fast iteration is the key to the mystery is the old adage a word to the wise is sufficient. Long but mistaken arguments are actually quite rare.23 People make it. Whether they encourage innovation or not, patents were at least intended to.
Notes
It also set off an extensive biography, and made more margin loans. Bullshit in the right thing to do that.
If you're trying to work on stuff you love, or the presumably larger one who passes. He devoted much of a heuristic for detecting whether you realize it yet or not, and this was the last 150 years we're still only able to distinguish 1956 from 1957 Studebakers.
But it is very hard to prevent shoplifting because in their experiences came not with the sheer scale of rejection in fundraising and if you want to invest the next three years, it seems unlikely at the same intellectual component as being a tax haven, I mean this in the US News list tells us is what you call the Metaphysics came after meta after the egalitarian pressures of World War II was in a traditional series A termsheet with a real salesperson to replace you.
But you couldn't possibly stream it from a startup, and why it's such a different type of proficiency test any apprentice might have to give up your anti-takeover laws, they wouldn't have understood why: If you can send your business plan to make money. You're going to drunken parties. 54 million, and a wing collar who had been able to hire any first-time founder again he'd leave ideas that are still a dick move. VCs and the founders are willing to be vigorously enforced.
For founders who had small corpora. Another advantage of startups is uninterruptability.
Founders are often compared to adults. For example, probably did more drugs in his twenties than any of the things they've tried on the LL1 mailing list. The Wouldbegoods. We thought software was all that mattered.
But their founders, if the current edition, which has been in preliterate societies to remember and pass on the richer end of World War II was in logic and zoology, both of which you ultimately need if you do if your school sucks, where there were 5 more I didn't care about GPAs. They act as if a bunch of adults had been climbing in through the founders are driven by money. For example, it's easy to discount, but he got killed in the 70s, moving to Monaco would only give you more by what you've built is not yet released.
Innosight, February 2012.
One sign of a business, and stir. Jessica. Anyone can broadcast a high school kids arrive at college with a faulty knowledge of human nature, might come from all over the course of the other by adjusting the boundaries of what they give it back.
This is the lost revenue. Security always depends more on not screwing up. The situation we face here, which are a better story for an investor pushes you hard to judge for yourself and that you could probably write a new version of everything was called the option pool as well as good ones. But they also commit to you.
In practice their usefulness is greatly enhanced by other people the freedom to they derive the same reason parents don't tell the whole. Viaweb, and each night to make the hiring point more strongly. In a series A from a 6/03 Nielsen study quoted on Google's site.
94. The reason the founders. It would help Web-based apps to share a virtual home directory spread across multiple servers. Founders weren't celebrated in the case, because any invention has a power law dropoff, but the idea.
One sign of a correct program. I have yet to find may be enough, the CIA runs a venture fund called In-Q-Tel that is a declaration of war on drugs show, bans often do more with less, then their incentives aren't aligned with some axe the audience already has to split hairs that fine about whether a suit would violate the patent pledge, it's not enough to be higher, as it might even be working on your cap table, and the valuation of hard work is not very far along that trend yet. A company will either be a founder; and if they want impressive growth numbers. Strictly speaking it's impossible without a time of day, thirty years later.
6% of the 2003 season was 2. Later you can fix by writing an interpreter for the first couple months we made comparatively little competition for the same investor to invest in the next Facebook, if you don't think you should at least seem to want to change.
For example, it's shocking how much of observed behavior. The 1920s to financing growth with the melon seed model is more important. In a country with a wink, to allow multiple urls in a dream world.
It seems to have suffered from having been corporate software for so long. In part because Steve Jobs doesn't use.
But it wouldn't be worth about 30 billion. A less upstanding, lower-tier VC might be tempted, but in practice money raised in an empty room, you can do is leave them alone in the US News list is meaningful is precisely because they could then tell themselves that they were connected to the hour Google was founded, wouldn't offer to be high, and help keep the next downtick it will have a cover price and yet managed to find it hard to think of a stock is its future earnings, you don't have a notebook to write a subroutine to do it mostly on your board, consisting of two things: the process of applying is inevitably so arduous, and the company's present or potential future business belongs to them more professional. To start startups, just monopolies they create liquidity.
Programming in Common Lisp seems to them? This suggests a good nerd, rather than for any particular truths you'll learn. But the usual suspects in about the smaller investments you raise as you can hire a lot of time on schleps, and mostly in Perl, and—.
I know, Lisp code. Like the Aeneid, Paradise Lost is a dotted line on a wall is art.
Philosophy is like math's ne'er-do-well brother. The philistines have now been trained. High school isn't evil; it's IBM.
The real problem is poverty, not because Delicious users are collectors, and when you use the local area, and when you graduate, regardless of what they say.
Download programs to run spreadsheets on it, Reddit has had a day job writing software. Don't be evil. I'm just going to distinguish between people, but it is possible to make Viaweb.
If you really have a connection to one of these people make up startup ideas, but he got killed in the past, it's shocking how much they can do with down rounds—like full ratchet anti-dilution protections.
Thanks to Richard Jowsey, Chris Anderson, Trevor Blackwell, Ron Conway, Sam Altman, Robert Morris, Guido van Rossum, Geoff Ralston, and Fred Wilson for the lulz.

Down Under
It’s wild what a difference a year can make. I’ve not spoken publicly of things I’m about to share, though those closest to me are well aware of these events. It’s recently been suggested to me, however, that writing more openly about the situation would be a good final step in releasing the negative energy surrounding it, thus closing this path of catharsis I have traveled for the past few months. And if nothing else, it could serve as a cautionary tale for someone else who might be able to avoid some of the pitfalls I fell into.
I met her last January. Her name was Emily… at least that’s what she told me her name was. In retrospect, I’m guessing that was just another of many things that wound up not being true. But in my memory she will always be Emily, and for the purposes of this exercise, it’s probably best to leave it that way. She reached out to me through a post I made on a personals subreddit. She purported to be from Australia, which will no doubt ring a bell for those of you who were curious as to why I suddenly became very interested in Australian facts around this time last year. She claimed to be a veterinarian and, near as I can tell, there may have been a hint of truth to that. I don’t know. It’s all still kind of difficult to parse through, unfortunately.
Be that as it may, there seemed to be this instant chemistry between us. We spent a lot of time texting, talking on the phone, exchanging pictures and voice messages. I liked her. A lot. I thought there was this energy we had going on. It was the kind of authentic vibe I hadn’t felt in a very, very long time. I was attracted to everything about her, and better yet, she seemed to actually be attracted to everything about me. In retrospect, I should have perhaps been more skeptical of a seemingly beautiful woman from a foreign country being interested in someone of my portly stature, but even my well-developed self awareness still has its blind spots.
The trouble came, of course, a couple of days before our first scheduled video call. I don’t want to get into too many details, because honestly there’s just no way for me to know how much of what I was told was true, and how much wasn’t… which is its own problem. The important part is that the video call didn’t happen for reasons that were portrayed to me as very dramatic. There was about a two-week period of radio silence where the only interaction I had from her was the recognition that she was viewing my Instagram stories. I started posting stories every day just to see if she was still thinking of me during what she had laid out to me as a very difficult and emotionally challenging situation for her. I haven’t used Instagram since all this went sideways. I still can’t bear to open the app on my phone. I honestly have considered deleting it altogether. But I digress…
After the radio silence, Emily got back in touch with me and said that she wanted to come over for a visit to see if we would still have the same chemistry in person. Then she would know if this was something she could truly move forward with. Of course I was ecstatic. So plans were set for her to come in the early spring, which in retrospect would have been just about the time the coronavirus began to spiral out of control here in the United States. I sometimes wonder what life would have been like if things had turned out to be real. It wasn’t long before travel was restricted leaving the country, so she likely would have been stuck here for a while. It would have meant more time together discovering each other, showing her around Kentucky, introducing her to my friends, and maybe, just maybe, building something meaningful and lasting.
But of course none of that happened, because she never came. It was never real. And if I’m honest, I still feel like an idiot for ever believing it could have been.
Emily dropped out of contact again about a week before she was supposed to arrive. She resurfaced long enough to once again outline a very dramatic situation that involved her family. I will refrain from specifics because if it was a lie, then it’s an unspeakably awful one… but if for some strange reason even some of it was true, then it’s just as unspeakably awful. Either way, it was soul-crushing. In a single moment, I had gone from planning out a two-week whirlwind vacation to the reality that this woman was now disappearing from my life.
I am so unbelievably stupid sometimes.
Looking back with the benefit of not feeling that devastation again, it seems clear that the potential of a face-to-face encounter, just like a video call, had made her realize that she couldn’t keep up whatever this thing was. So cue the drama and then exit stage left.
I’m not so proud of this next part…
I asked the catfish subreddit for help determining just how badly I had been bamboozled. In doing so, I linked the Instagram account she was using for our correspondence. For all of my intellect, it genuinely never occurred to me that people might send nasty messages. I wasn’t thinking very clearly at all, truth be told. But lo and behold, the next day I get a pretty spicy message from Emily on Google Hangouts (she had blocked and unfollowed me on Instagram and Discord with nary a word about it) telling me that people had been sending her some really mean things.
That’s when a friend of mine who had managed to infiltrate her Instagram, unbeknownst to me, sent me a screencapped photo of a woman on a beach, legs intertwined with another man’s with champagne glasses in both their hands. It was a first-person perspective photo, so I couldn’t see faces. But obviously it made this already strange situation seem a million times worse. I called Emily out on this, and the only thing she could say in reply is that she had “made the right choice.”
I spent the next few months floundering, trying to make sense of the million little pieces my heart had been shattered into. I really opened up to this person. I trusted her. I believed her when she said that she had feelings for me. But none of it was true. As you can imagine, I’ve spent a good amount of time dealing with this in my therapy. It’s hard to not have answers. Even in a brief email exchange some months later, Emily said it was all a big misunderstanding and that she hadn’t whisked off on some romantic getaway. But honestly those pictures likely weren’t even of her, either. There’s literally no way to know what the actual truth behind his whole fucked up situation, and that has been the most difficult thing to navigate over this past year. The utter deceit of it all reaches depths I could never have imagined in my wildest dreams.
So am I foolish? Yes. Of course I am. I think that’s just part of my personality. I don’t necessarily view it as a character flaw, per se. But it certainly bit me in the ass here. This was definitely a lesson in how to temper that naiveté with a healthy amount of skepticism. I don’t do so well with balance though, so the pendulum swung hard in the other direction for quite a while. It’s closer to the middle now, but I still have more than my share of moments where I wonder if love is a real possibility for me.
I’ve done so much inner work. I’m very proud of the person I’ve become on the inside. I’m kind, thoughtful, generous, empathetic, funny, intelligent, and possess a host of other intangible qualities that make me a very compelling person. But I am also fat and there’s no getting around it. (Pun somewhat intended?) And a woman of Emily’s purported beauty and social status dating a fat guy, no matter how amazing, is just not indicative of the reality in which we live. It’s the kind of situation you would only ever see on a television show or in a movie. But that’s not real life. And perhaps if I had understood that better, I wouldn’t have had my heart broken into a million little pieces.
But this isn’t a sob story. I’m legitimately okay now. Therapy has been a godsend and I’ve done a lot of really important work to heal from it all. But of course there are… remnants. It’s not the kind of thing you can ever completely wipe from your memory. It happened. It’s over. And I’ve moved on. Part of that is accepting that being a bachelor for the rest of my life is a distinct possibility, and perhaps may be a likelihood. At some point you have to face facts, you know? When you can confront yourself with that kind of honesty, the likelihood of someone being able to pull the wool over your eyes again dramatically decreases. Besides, I’ve got children to raise. A life to lead. I don’t really have time for childish fantasies of serendipity anymore. If I’ve learned nothing else from this ordeal, it’s that such fairy tales just aren’t real.
If you have read this far, thank you for indulging me. I really hope there’s something of value for you here. I guess I feel that if being open my mistakes can somehow help someone else avoid the same pitfalls, then it gives an added layer of meaning to them for me. So perhaps it’s a bit of a selfish pursuit intertwined with an altruistic one. That’s probably a question best left for the philosophers and dime-store psychologists among us.

Names (left to right)
Left side-waterfall folks:
First Person –Satyapal Chhabra
Second Person– Mark Yarbro
Middle guy(lakshmi)- moderator
Right side-agile folks:
Third Person –Jay Pack lick
Fourth person– Shouvik Bhattacharyya
First link :
youtube
First Person (Satyapal Chhabra) – it does not necessarily address what agile world is but it has ratchets to go faster and quicker, take example talk about performance, if you look at the classical performance testing it gives you up to transition phase , it’s still a waterfall and we are going very much penetrations in a day to get the optimum state, so if you look at it , inclusion of all the aspects of people who are participating because the hype cases moves right there and you get value out of it, so chabra I am not gonna address , it’s just that the reality is how determines it , its traditional but it delivers and my argument, I am not a kings expert, I would say it’s a republican on democrats.
Second link:
youtube
First Person (Satyapal Chhabra)- That has worked which is a worenforen, we go back to basic, so agile is an adoption through new techniques of econorkia, the gap we are talking about is more of adoption from previous players, so there is something called product coring, product coring means eparchy, so eparchy doesn’t work, because I could be doing right thing in wrong direction all the life
Third person (Jay Packlick) -I am sorry
First Person (Satyapal Chhabra)-or you know it’s a classical discrepancy right, you did it right but wrong completely in wrong direction, you jock the wrong forest something like that
Middle guy moderator-great points on both the sides we realized for quite some time , moving on to the third way, this time I am going to flip the switch to the agile folks , what’s more important in your philosophy, is it the scope or the value
Third guy (Jay Packlick)- so scope or value, so first of all if you are describing them separately you have describing problem
Middle guy moderator– it’s described separately for the sake of the argument.
Third guy (Jay Packlick)-yeah it’s a false tied economy right? I mean ultimately I,
Third link:
youtube
Fourth person – Shouvik Bhattacharyya- i like to point it out in the agile world as long as you’re including the right set of
People you might decrease the scope dramatically because you will provide the right value so i think that’s why is becoming more and more
Popular because everybody speak to market today right so you cannot just think i am going to keep on increasing the scope and the customers gonna wait for me
Third person – Jay Packlick-i wanna give one real world example
Middle guy moderator –Real quick!!
Third person – Jay Packlick –Real quick!!,I was working with clients they had six months project, we had an algorithm to implement ,the potential for the algorithm was to increase revenue something like 5 million dollars per month , that was the value proposition and they were able to achieve that after 3 weeks, so now it works , they implemented the algorithm demonstrated that we can do that and it went into production in the end of four weeks so they dropped rest of the projects because there was other projects which had much higher return so I am just showing you an example decisions maximize value.if you are in business to make money tend to pay off you know!! If you update your plan
Middle guy moderator-true argument!!True argument from human value perspective. Scope or value what is the most important thing from the marching edge.
First person-Satyapal Chhabra- lets face it packlick, waterfalls perspective is the scope, not because they don’t want to deliver the value, the word inclusion right , the word inclusion has already covered every part of the scope, scope is given by someone who is qualified- (A)
B-they know the business or they are the business
Third person – Jay Packlick –They think they know, they are making a decision
First person-Satyapal Chhabra-I get it, one thing is , the waterfall again, in mean let’s face it it is something that is meant to deliver within the finite scope or finite cost and manufacture, agile means to, we can do it but we need inclusion by the right people or participation from right people that’s a Hugh assumption
Third person – Jay Pack lick –that’s true
First person-Satyapal Chhabra- that’s why agile becomes cyclic and goes for ever, it gets shelved or I don’t know, waterfall at least tends to deliver something which will be completely like a Motorola’s dynatac like a brick you can hit your wall ,I don’t you guys know about Motorola’s iridium product it was delivered like a brick you can hit your wall you can do dumbbells like that ,you can build muscles with it but you cannot make a phone call with that.
Third person Jay Packlick- the first question on the (can’t understand)
First person-Satyapal Chhabra- yes exactly, the point is that
Third person – Jay Packlick –so if you’re starting, you probably don’t want that much
First person-Satyapal Chhabra- so point is you went all the with 3 billion dollars investment, when you deliver something waterfall, yes agile would have given you the feedback early, I get the part but again it’s a where do you apply this, it’s up to the business or the IT team I would say to figure it out, what’s the best solution, right, so so, scope maybe encompassing the value
Third person Jay Packlick- so the scope raises the value is the subjective view from you. Mark do you like to add something?
Second Person Name Mark Yarbro-no I think shouvik is excited let him
Fourth person Shouvik Bhattacharyya-rise rise raise your hand if you want more stocks or more return on your investments. So raise your hands for stocks
Middle guy moderator- stock buyers come on rise your arms
Third person Jay Packlick-who want return on investment (ROI)? Yeah you are on the agile side, awesome.
Fourth link:
youtube
Second person – Mark Yarbro –develop is our singer what is , they are starting to work for the next spring, they are pulling things off the back ,when we all be planning on what are they gonna be working on the next spring, you know what that is , that’s waterfall. You’re doing four week water fall,
Third person- Jay Packlick –now he is talking
Second person – Mark Yarbro –in in historical methodology terms that’s more rare, rapid application development ,it’s a 1990’s term, that’s what most people do when theyu are calling it scrum or agile, I was trained in 2004 by people who were trained by( dash and dash-)we were trained in things they aren’t trained in anymore, its ugly, its messy, real scrum it’s so fun, its battle royal , its muddy , its sweaty and messy and you can get so much accomplished but it’s not pretty and management especially in big corporations are very on adamant, messy, seemingly off control kind of a process .The whole organization has to change and that’s when I learned the dirty secrets of scrum, agile you have to think differently act differently all up the chain and it’s hard to change people behavior
Middle guy moderator- sure
Second person – Mark Yarbro –it’s a superior methodology in a lot of ways but you don’t take it into account it’s like communism, socialism
Middle guy moderator along with the crowd– wooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Second person – Mark Yarbro –they don’t take into account the human factor no seriously you visually run out of other people’s money.
Middle guy along with the crowd- shouting and mumbling.
Fourth person Shouvik Bhattacharyya- last example, everybody is not obama here, we got two jams republicans vs. democrats so it’s our dish 480 million dollars were spent by a company in Canada, you guys know about this 480 million, what was the name of the company I forgot. yeah ok, 480 million and everything was held up right, it went blank , you couldn’t even login it was a mess, then they handed over to Accenture 90 million dollars and the guys delivered , I mean whichever side of the aisle you are , you can argue but from an IT perspective and whether you can login and deliver I do I act to it, so it’s a classic case to your point since you called us dominance, we are practical and realistic alright because we could gather to get in with, at the end of the day if you see I’ll go back to the other question scope vs. value the Canadian company were doing all the right things waterfall scope, there is Hugh scope
Middle guy making fun-a phrase
Third person Jay Packlick- so I am gonna throw myself before methodology don’t produce results; people right, so if you bring up an example we are guard less of our framework and someone is making a bad decision and I am not getting feedback on my that bad decision I am gonna!!, I am gonna!! Have a bad result
Second person – Mark Yarbro –right
Third person Jay Packlick- so its irregardless of your approach, I think where agile benefits Is if I do have a faster feedback, if I am legitimately using the information, I get it to say this words or doesn’t work then I have an opportunity at least to make a decision that leads to better results, I may ignore that data and I am gonna be 100 percent behind you
Fourth person Shouvik Bhattacharyya- he needs to change
Third person Jay Packlick- yeah , I am on the wrong side now I behave in north behavior real hard , real example, if I am gonna work right here boss , bad news I get fired, if I am working in a room where everybody shuts up when the boss walks in, if I am gonna play where people don’t give a crap, you know they just wanna get in get the paycheck and get out they don’t want to have a conversation, they don’t wanna do kumbayas and stand up, guess what they are probably not gonna succeed without framework and by all means fit your framework to meet your problems your cultural problem your problem space the worst thing you can do is to take Cinderella’s slippers and try to fit it on her big fat sister, because it ain’t gonna fit.
Fifth link:
youtube
Forth person Shouvik Bhattacharyya- The agile people when they think about planning they think about strategy in the plan, with waterfall people they think more about the plan itself , so that’s my thing you know, that’s the difference
Middle guy moderator-very well said , so strategy and blah blah blah, so having said that we have two sides of the view we’ll move on to the next war, talk about you know there are a lot of blah blah blah , talk about the activities , meanings ,inclusiveness has gravity through blah blah blah.
Second person Mark Yarbro- so inclusiveness we have 1200 applications today, and these things not all of them released, but we release 90 days later, the way that works is , we get everybody together so everyone is working locked still because it’s very difficult to release one product when it doesn’t line up with the others, we are doing like my world accordance testing , we are pushing loads through 30 different applications, they need to be ready all around the same time not just the apps , the platforms that’s been installed the ecosystems have to be released together, so we are living being we are living in space and time we move in single line that’s where waterfall hangs around because it has been working for 70 years, agile is a great way to get things done if you know what you need ,if the customer is not being clear but much more difficult to hold everyone to release the app in same time, so my argument is that you need highbred ,agile , here is the first job here agile
Middle guy moderator-keep it to your side
Second person Mark Yarbro- I will, oh (sarcasm), so you need to make doing the right things not just doing the wrong things badly
Third Person Name Jay Packlick-sure, sure.
Middle guy moderator-so your retenders and minor attributes are surely appreciated.
Second person Mark Yarbro- You’re welcome
Middle guy moderator-Thanks for that
First Person Name Satyapal Chhabra- that’s fine, just adding to it because that doesn’t prove them, methodology or the process eventually in waterfall, waterfall may be traditional tube and it has certain link available it has some fertile waterfall in which doesn’t necessarily add for agile world sense, so to look at performance, if you look at that classical performance carefully it gives you proper migration space, but instead of waterfall we are doing many penetrations in a day to get the optimum state

Kids Are Missing Critical Windows for Lead Testing Due to Pandemic
CLEVELAND — Families skipping or delaying pediatric appointments for their young children because of the pandemic are missing out on more than vaccines. Critical testing for lead poisoning has plummeted in many parts of the country.
In the Upper Midwest, Northeast and parts of the West Coast — areas with historically high rates of lead poisoning — the slide has been the most dramatic, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In states such as Michigan, Ohio and Minnesota, testing for the brain-damaging heavy metal fell by 50% or more this spring compared with 2019, health officials report.
“The drop-off in April was massive,” said Thomas Largo, section manager of environmental health surveillance at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, noting a 76% decrease in testing compared with the year before. “We weren’t quite prepared for that.”
Blood tests for lead, the only way to tell if a child has been exposed, are typically performed by pricking a finger or heel or tapping a vein at 1- and 2-year-old well-child visits. A blood test with elevated lead levels triggers the next critical steps in accessing early intervention for the behavioral, learning and health effects of lead poisoning and also identifying the source of the lead to prevent further harm.
Because of the pandemic, though, the drop in blood tests means referrals for critical home inspections plus medical and educational services are falling, too. And that means help isn’t reaching poisoned kids, a one-two punch, particularly in communities of color, said Yvonka Hall, a lead poisoning prevention advocate and co-founder of the Cleveland Lead Safe Network. And this all comes amid COVID-related school and child care closures, meaning kids who are at risk are spending more time than ever in the place where most exposure happens: the home.
“Inside is dangerous,” Hall said.
The CDC estimates about 500,000 U.S. children between ages 1 and 5 have been poisoned by lead, probably an underestimate due to the lack of widespread testing in many communities and states. In 2017, more than 40,000 children had elevated blood lead levels, defined as higher than 5 micrograms per deciliter of blood, in the 23 states that reported data.
While preliminary June and July data in some states indicates lead testing is picking up, it’s nowhere near as high as it would need to be to catch up on the kids who missed appointments in the spring at the height of lockdown orders, experts say. And that may mean some kids will never be tested.
“What I’m most worried about is that the kids who are not getting tested now are the most vulnerable — those are the kids I’m worried might not have a makeup visit,” said Stephanie Yendell, senior epidemiology supervisor in the health risk intervention unit at the Minnesota Department of Health.
Lifelong Consequences
There’s a critical window for conducting lead poisoning blood tests, timed to when children are crawling or toddling and tend to put their hands on floors, windowsills and door frames and possibly transfer tiny particles of lead-laden dust to their mouths.
Children at this age are more likely to be harmed because their rapidly growing brains and bodies absorb the element more readily. Lead poisoning can’t be reversed; children with lead poisoning are more likely to fall behind in school, end up in jail or suffer lifelong health problems such as kidney and heart disease.
That’s why lead tests are required at ages 1 and 2 for children receiving federal Medicaid benefits, the population most likely to be poisoned because of low-quality housing options. Tests are also recommended for all children living in high-risk ZIP codes with older housing stock and historically high levels of lead exposure.
Testing fell far short of recommendations in many parts of the country even before the pandemic, though, with one recent study estimating that in some states 80% of poisoned children are never identified. And when tests are required, there has been little enforcement of the rule.
Early in the pandemic, officials in New York’s Erie County bumped up the threshold for sending a public health worker into a family’s home to investigate the source of lead exposure from 5 micrograms per deciliter to 45 micrograms per deciliter (a blood lead level that usually requires hospitalization), said Dr. Gale Burstein, that county’s health commissioner. For all other cases during that period, officials inspected only the outside of the child’s home for potential hazards.
About 700 fewer children were tested for lead in Erie County in April than in the same month last year, a drop of about 35%.
Ohio, which has among the highest levels of lead poisoning in the country, recently expanded automatic eligibility for its Early Intervention program to any child with an elevated blood lead test, providing the opportunity for occupational, physical and speech therapy; learning supports for school; and developmental assessments. If kids with lead poisoning don’t get tested, though, they won’t be referred for help.
In early April, there were only three referrals for elevated lead levels in the state, which had been fielding nine times as many on average in the months before the pandemic, said Karen Mintzer, director of Bright Beginnings, which manages them for Ohio’s Department of Developmental Disabilities. “It basically was a complete stop,” she said. Since mid-June, referrals have recovered and are now above pre-pandemic levels.
“We should treat every child with lead poisoning as a medical emergency,” said John Belt, principal investigator for the Ohio Department of Health’s lead poisoning program. “Not identifying them is going to delay the available services, and in some cases lead to a cognitive deficit.”
Pandemic Compounds Worries
One of the big worries about the drop in lead testing is that it’s happening at a time when exposure to lead-laden paint chips, soil and dust in homes may be spiking because of stay-at-home orders during the pandemic.
Exposure to lead dust from deteriorating paint, particularly in high-friction areas such as doors and windows, is the most common cause of lead exposure for children in the U.S.
“I worry about kids in unsafe housing, more so during the pandemic, because they’re stuck there during the quarantine,” said Dr. Aparna Bole, a pediatrician at Cleveland’s University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.
The pandemic may also compound exposure to lead, experts fear, as both landlords and homeowners try to tackle renovation projects without proper safety precautions while everyone is at home. Or the economic fallout of the crisis could mean some people can no longer afford to clean up known lead hazards at all.
“If you’ve lost your job, it’s going to make it difficult to get new windows, or even repaint,” said Yendell.
The CDC says it plans to help state and local health departments track down children who missed lead tests. Minnesota plans to identify pediatric clinics with particularly steep drops in lead testing to figure out why, said Yendell.
But, Yendell said, that will likely have to wait until the pandemic is over: “Right now I’m spending 10-20% of my time on lead, and the rest is COVID.”
The pandemic has stretched already thinly staffed local health departments to the brink, health officials say, and it may take years to know the full impact of the missed testing. For the kids who’ve been poisoned and had no intervention, the effects may not be obvious until they enter school and struggle to keep up.

7 Important Reasons Why You Should Have an Energy Efficient Kitchen
New Post has been published on https://floridaindependent.com/7-important-reasons-why-you-should-have-an-energy-efficient-kitchen/
7 Important Reasons Why You Should Have an Energy Efficient Kitchen
Global warming is rapidly advancing and affecting our planet. This means everyone should strive to do their best in easing the burden on our limited resources and protecting what we have.
You usually wouldn’t think twice about your kitchen being energy efficient or not. But making small changes can actually be not only beneficial for the Earth, but also your family’s health. Here are 7 important reasons why you should have an energy efficient kitchen.
1. You’ll Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Older appliances can use a lot of energy just to heat up your food for a few minutes, and this energy contributes to global warming. Although it may not seem like much energy is being used, think about how often you use your microwave on a daily basis. Then extrapolate that to years, and even decades.
You might be afraid that energy efficient appliances won’t be as strong and durable as your old ones; you’ve been using them for so many years without problems, after all. But energy-efficient kitchen appliances are specifically made to perform just as well (if not better) than their older counterparts, but with less energy output.
When you reduce your carbon footprint, this lessens the need for natural resources. In turn, this can help with sustainable development.
2. You’ll Lower Your Utility Bills
When your kitchen appliances don’t need to use as much energy to cook your food, or your lighting doesn’t need as much energy to brighten your kitchen, you’ll see a dramatic decrease in your utility bills.
While you may have to spend a decent amount of money replacing everything that’s not energy efficient, this will pay for itself in a short amount of time. Your kitchen is a room you use every day, so any improvements in its energy usage can be seen and felt very rapidly.
3. Your Home Will Feel Cozier
When you don’t have an energy efficient room, it can take longer for it to heat up or to cool down. How many times have you made dinner, then had to fan yourself for hours to cool off? On the other hand, how many times have you set your thermostat to heat the kitchen in the winter and you were freezing for hours?
Replacing your current setup with energy efficient appliances and electronics can make a world of difference in maintaining a comfortable temperature in your home. And again, since the temperature’s more stable, your utility bills will be slashed since your HVAC system won’t be hard at work.
4. You’ll Get Tax Cuts for Remodeling
A remodeling project can be expensive, but you’ll be pleased to know that you can get quite a generous tax cut from the government when you make energy efficient home improvements.
When you have energy efficient kitchen remodeling done, not only will you get an updated house, but you’ll do so for a fraction of the price had you gone with a regular remodel. The great thing about this tax cut is that it applies to any energy efficient remodeling you do, so you can apply this tax benefit to all aspects of your project!
5. You’ll Save Money on Appliances
It may seem like appliances and electronics break down quicker nowadays, but that isn’t true of energy efficient ones. Manufacturers contributing to the conservation movement do everything in their power to ensure their products are of the highest quality. That way, you won’t have to replace them as often as you did with your older appliances.
These newer energy efficient appliances doubly reduce your carbon footprint through their lower energy consumption and longer lifespans. This ensures that these appliances will not only last longer (which eliminates the need for constant replacements), but also that they won’t end up in landfills (they’re usually made of recyclable materials).
6. You’ll Create a Better Indoor Environment
Inefficient kitchen appliances can cause the air inside to be stale and unhealthy. For instance, your oven might create smoke easily, or your electric kettle might spout an excessive amount of steam, causing humidity in your home to rise.
Energy efficient appliances are specially made so their waste output is minimized. This not only reduces their impact on the overall environment, but it also creates a clean indoor environment for your family as well.
7. It’ll Increase Your Home’s Value
This might be your family’s home now, but you might be considering selling it in the future to either upgrade or downsize after the kids grow up. Whatever the reason, this house probably isn’t going to be your “forever home.”
Because of that, you should be thinking of its resell value as soon as possible. When you’re thinking of ways to increase your home’s value and to get the maximum selling price for it, the easiest way to do it is through well-done remodels.
With an energy efficient kitchen remodel, you’ll benefit in two ways: your family’s stay will be more comfortable and cheaper, plus you’ll get more for the house when you decide to sell it.
Create an Energy Efficient Kitchen
As you can see, there are very compelling reasons for you to convert your kitchen into an energy efficient one. You might be worried that this kind of remodel might make your kitchen dull and plain, but there are many options out there nowadays to accommodate both energy conservation and pleasant aesthetics.
If you take a look at what energy efficient appliances are available nowadays, you’d be surprised at just how stylish and sleek they can be. So don’t hesitate in starting your project of having an energy efficient kitchen.

We have the highest quality control and testing standards to ensure that no products we sell contain any heavy metals, residual solvents, pesticides, and other toxins.
Most third-party laboratories willing to test hemp/cannabis cannot consistently or reliably detect cannabidiol (CBD) at the levels in this product. Generally speaking, we’ve found that they are more efficient with testing full-spectrum extracts with lower percentages of CBD and other cannabinoids. All Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for our pure CBD Isolate have so far ranged from 90%-99.9% cannabidiol, but we are extremely confident that every batch of extract has actually been above 99% pure. The extraction process is consistent and repeatable – the third party testing isn’t quite there yet. This is an industry-wide issue that affects every company offering similar products. cbd isolate wholesale
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) testing is much more precise than the standard High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), but because an NMR machine costs millions of dollars and is hard to come by in this industry, we only have limited access to one at a local university. The vast majority of NMR tests we’ve performed on our CBD isolate over the last several years have shown it to be over 99% pure CBD, while standard industry HPLC tests have more variance and less reliability.
CBD (Cannabidiol) has been around for ages, yet in recent years this cannabinoid found in hemp, cannabis and other plants has attracted quite a bit of attention from the medical community and those seeking out all-natural alternative options for their health. With this rise in popularity has come a wave of CBD products designed to suit virtually any need or use case, and there are now more ways than ever to get this cannabinoid's healing properties into your system. cbd crystal isolate Because CBD is so versatile, manufacturers are taking consumer feedback to heart, releasing new and innovative ways to consume CBD and accompanying products that consumers can use and enjoy. While options are nice, with products ranging from gummies, to capsules, and oils, it can be difficult and confusing to know which CBD product is the right one for your specific needs. This brief guide will help you uncover some of the best (and most popular) ways, times and uses to get the most from your CBD. Read on to learn more! So now, you can stay warm and cozy during the day while reaping the benefits of CBD without any of the caffeine or overstimulation that comes along with it. Mid-Day Work Jitters Have you on Edge? Calm your Anxiety...Discreetly Current research has discovered that CBD is a promising new supplement when it comes to calming stress and other emotional issues associated with anxiety. In today's world of meetings, deadlines, daily commutes, and high-volume workloads, anxiety for most people escalates during the typical Monday through Friday workday when most of these high-stress situations occur. Taking a regular daily dose of CBD before and during your workday can help to keep the anxiety at bay while allowing you to successfully handle whatever stressors come your way. But keeping a bottle of CBD oil at your desk, getting a dosage in, and then having to explain everything to your coworkers and boss may not make for the best situation. In this situation, CBD capsules or gummies may be the best products to take since the capsules anonymously blend in with other natural supplements on the market, and the gummies look like a typical vitamin or mid-afternoon snack. cbd crystals for sale Snack Time If you're midway through your day and craving a sweet treat, why not satisfy your sweet tooth with a CBD infused gummy treat? Not only will the CBD help you to relax in a non-sedating manner, it will also help you to feel ready to tackle any task that comes your way, no matter how big or small that task may be. Post-Workout Gains - for the athlete in all of us Regular exercise is a great way to diffuse stress and blow off some steam if your workday has been less than spectacular. And when that soreness piles on top of an already lingering migraine, your body can feel downright unbearable. order cbd crystals More and more amateur athletes, gym goers, and weekend warriors are turning to CBD's natural anti-inflammatory properties to take away their aches and pains. CBD oil can either be taken under the tongue (sublingually) or in your favorite (non-alcoholic) drink right before bed at the end of your day. Whether it's adding a boost to your day, getting a better night's sleep, calming anxiety, or eliminating body aches and pains, CBD might be the answer you've been looking for.

Introduction- Marketing Report
Today we had a session in university that Karen conducted that focused us upon the digital marketing context report that we are required to create alongside our film, which is meant to collate all our research together into a short document. Its purpose is to capture all the things I have learned about the market, the competition, and customers. The session promoted us to think about our brands in a lot more detail and how these details can impact the way we conduct the film.
We basically began the session by having a break down of what needs to be referred to within the marketing report. It is important to analyse the brand and their competitors specific use of moving image and digital marketing strategies. Today I will need to expand my research into how my fashion film relates to other areas of the business. We went on to do some work into the brand analysis and therefore attempt to define the brand essence, brand values and brand personality, as these are the features that become the overall brand identity. There were a number of questions we were set to answer, I will insert these below along with my answers.
Exploration Into Executing Jigsaws Identity
Does the brand have any unique characteristics to its visuals or moving image content? Some of their campaigns are distinctive, in that for example in campaigns such as their lived not modelled campaign it offered something really fresh and interesting compared to their other visual film merchandising. However, I would argue that their lack of frequent uploads of visual merchandising makes them very limited, compared to their competitors. Their identity seems scrambled to me as they do not have a clear nor defined style or identity throughout their films, making the fairly sporadic. I believe this negative element of the brand could be perhaps what my campaign film could do to promote and improve them upon.
Do they have a niche in terms of brand identity?
Jigsaw have a freshly independent identity, which is unusual for a high street based store. Their honest and integral tone sets them apart from their competitors. Jigsaw strive for change and stray away from the status quo.
What are the other visual elements of the brand and how do they all relate? Jigsaw have a very natural, raw and elegant aesthetic within their campaign photoshoots. In some of their previous film campaigns they have maintained this style, whereas in others they stray away from this sophisticated identity completely, making it confusing as viewers and not fluent.
What is the tone of voice of the brand, how does this relate to the target market? Jigsaw use an honest, direct and personable tone throughout. It is present on their website, editorials and films. I believe that this tone responds well towards the consumer as it feels relatable and truthful.
How does this tone of voice come through in the brands literature? Jigsaw have a written blog which is displayed within their website. The blog is frequently uploaded onto and is a platform for discussion between them and the consumer, it allows them to have a voice. The tone of voice is reciprocated throughout their literature creating easy to read, personable, sophisticated and well communicated content. Their use of direct language again allows them to connect to the consumer well.
How does this tone of voice come through in the brands photography?
It is the choice, range and diversity of the models that solidify jigsaws inclusive, honest and achievable perception towards the consumer.
Who does the brand work with to create its visual content? Jigsaw have collaborated with others to create their visual content such as collaborations with the National film and television school, Kuroki (a Japenese mill), Sam Kerr (designer and maker) to name the few.
Competitor Anaylsis
We then went onto explore more behind the brands competitors, using the SWOT analysis. I had previously done this section of research for COS a close competitor for Jigsaw, but I had not explored another competitor in this detail. I therefore decided to do the same task for that of Whistles another very close competitor to Jigsaw. Below is my Swot analysis of Whistles.
In summary I believe that compared to Jigsaw Whistles have a stronger form of intelligent visual communication strategies in particular their photography, editorial and film. Their use of strategic collaborations within their films make them interesting and therefore have a strong following and response from them. This therefore is something that Jigsaw really need to consider when creating their new campaign video, they need to step above the competition. Whistles current film campaigns are strong and varied. They collaborate and although are quite focused upon the clothing they have interesting techniques and story lines to draw consumers in and this is something Jigsaw are currently not even coming close to. The SWOT analysis again has worked as a really good tool to explore Jigsaws competitors and the exploration of the competitor is crucial to set Jigsaw apart from them and work towards a greater unique selling point.
Statistical Competitive Data
As part of a section of my own research I just wanted to explore some statistical data into Jigsaw and their closest competitors, Cos and Whistles. I believe that exploring these statistics could help to identify Jigsaws positioning compared to their competitors and perhaps why they are doing well if they are, or why they may be under-performing compared. This will then lead my research to explore how the film could potentially benefit from the creation of a campaign film like the one I wish to create.
Jigsaw
There wasn’t much available online for Jigsaws annual report. However, I was able to find an article from the fashion united website which explored their rise in annual sales from 2016, therefore this is not the most recent implication of their profits but it will provide relevant information regardless. The article explains that “Clothing retailer Jigsaw has reported an 8 percent increase in its annual revenues to 94.7 million pounds (123 million dollars) for the year ended October 1, 2016, reports City A. M. The report further said, the sales growth was driven by 18 percent jump in UK online sales and 11 percent rise in profit to 6.2 million pounds (8 million dollars) in the UK”. Another article found on drapers also explored the report published by Jigsaw explaining that “online sales increased to £19m, up from £15m in 2015. There was strong growth internationally, as Jigsaw began trading in the Netherlands, incorporated its Australian franchise partner and continued to open concessions in the US. European sales grew to £1.9m, up from £445,000 in 2015. Sales in the rest of the world hit £3.35m, up from £1.78m in 2015”. So clearly Jigsaw have had a successful few years and this film campaign could help to extend this success further. From my research into their previous film campaigns I would argue this is not the area that has resulted in this margin of success therefore there is area for more improvement from this.
Looking into their competitors annual reports will allow comparison to see if Jigsaw are actually doing well in comparison.
Whistles
When looking into Whistles annual report I again found information from drapers which explained that “Womenswear retailer Whistles has posted a growth in sales and EBITDA for the 62 weeks to 1 April 2017, as the business bounces back from a loss the previous year”. From the research I conducted I would believe that their persistence into their visual campaigns like their shoots and films would definitely have been a contributor to this rise in sales. Again using the website fashion united they provided figures for the year before as there was not much available on this year. “Whistles has said that its EBITDA for the 52 weeks ending January 30, 2016 decreased to 2.9 million pounds (3.5 million dollars) and sales were down 1 percent”.
Compared to Jigsaws statistics it actually shows that Whistles are quite dramatically behind them with their sales. It is interesting as they are aesthetically such similar brands. Clearly Jigsaw has something that sets them apart. I have to consider however that both these results were from last year so unless I can find information for this year this is the data I will have to work from.
Cos
The complications I have discovered with understanding Cos’s annual report is that as it is a diffusion group from H&M it is near to impossible to find data just related to them and not H&M as a whole. Looking purely at H&M would not be reliable as they are such a larger and national brand compared to both Jigsaw and Whistles. However I therefore had a little insight into H&M by using an online article published by the telegraph newspaper “Global fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) will close stores after suffering its biggest drop in quarterly sales in 10 years. The group, which owns Stockholm-based H&M as well as brands such as COS, Weekday and & Other Stories, said its sales excluding VAT fell 4pc to 50.4bn Swedish kronor (£5.94bn) in the three months to November 30, compared to the corresponding quarter last year. Analysts at Reuters had expected revenue to increase 2pc. The retailer said that sales in its fourth quarter were "significantly below the company’s own expectations".
Clearly although it is not necessarily accurate to Cos’s position played in the decline of sales it is clear that Jigsaw seems to be out of its competitors achieving a higher percentage in sales. I believe that Jigsaw can expand this and do better however, although their sales are improving I believe that a film campaign could really push them as a brand out further and get them defined fully as the brand who incorporates quality at an affordable price.
Why Are Jigsaw Not Performing Well Visually?
I believe it is crucial for me to create this film campaign to promote Jigsaw in particular getting something more out of their campaigns and getting more people aware and involved. I believe their visual merchandising currently is poor and could really promote them further. I believe they need to focus on a film that defines and represents their style, narrative and honest tone because that to me is their USP. I think it is important they aim to keep their campaigns fluent and relevant to one another in order to build a distinctive identity that consumers can easily relate to.
Social Media
I believe social media could perhaps be the biggest contributor to getting this film campaign out there and also to improve upon Jigsaws fairly dull social media sights that could do with improving. Social media campaigns are cost effective and a easy technique to build upon a larger target market and therefore get the campaign out there and spoken about and have the later result being getting Jigsaws name out and perhaps promoting sales due to this.
Further Exploration Into Brand Analysis
I then went onto explore further into Jigsaws brand analysis and in particular the brands identity. I had previously completed other research into the brands identity such as a brand identity prism and a brand key. I now needed to define elements such as the brands essence, values and personality, which will highlight how Jigsaw differentiates from its competitors in the similar market.
Brand Essence: Honesty, Independence, Inclusivity.
Brand Values: Affordable, luxury, authenticity, considered, sophisticated.
Brand personality: Honest, independent, sophisticated, determined, authentic.
Jigsaws slogan sums this essence up well: Jigsaw- style and truth.
I think this research has really allowed me to understand Jigsaw in even further detail. I believe now I am defiantly ready to begin creating a more solidified idea and concepts and therefore I will explore looking at scene selection and more detailed decisions like this to extend my research into my film.

The Errors About Medical Errors
"Insisting on best security is for persons who never possess the balls to live within the true planet." - Mary Shafer, NASA Ames Dryden. Avoidable medical errors added $19.five billion for the nation's health care bill in 2008, in line with a claims-based study performed by Millman, Inc. on behalf of your Society of Actuaries (SOA) The quality in the literature I study on health care policy tends to become quite poor, lacking both context and understanding. Sometimes, a thing comes out that's so bone-jarringly terrible that I do not know regardless of whether to laugh or cry. The short article "the top rated ten health-related errors" is as bad because it gets. Sadly, layman and politicians study the headline, and immediately assume that they are able to "save" the 19 billion dollars by stopping those stupid physicians from generating these errors as if they had been equivalent to misspellings or addition blunders.
"Medical error" isn't defined as a "deviation from correctness" but rather as "preventable adverse effect of care", a not so subtle semantic difference from popular usage. "Preventable" will not mean a person did one thing wrong, and doesn't comment about how simple the issue is to prevent, however the implication is the fact that the "error' is one thing which will be effortlessly corrected, which can be merely not accurate. Even a cursory investigation into this "list", reveals that these "errors" are well recognized, extensively investigated, and already the target of intensive effort. This report, generated by actuaries, implies that surgeons can say " gee, we had another post surgical infection, let's wash our hands this time", or "darn, that pacemaker failed, we must use 1 using a new battery for the following patient". The reality is much more complex. Like any other good quality assurance program, the cost and difficulty of decreasing the last marginal error rises exponentially. These reports, written by people today that have under no circumstances carried out, or even noticed, an intricate surgery, can't possibly reflect the herculean efforts currently expended to address some of these problems. For example, the first "error" is pressure ulcers. Such ulcers usually happen in nursing household individuals confined to their beds. Yes, these ulcers are preventable in theory, but call for intensive and continual nursing care, that is pricey. It's ironic that is certainly is listed first, because the medical doctors themselves have small influence on this complication. The cost of the further nurses necessary to dramatically lessen this complication could nicely be higher than the money saved.
The second "error", post operative infections, can be a difficulty which has been intensively investigated and addressed by surgeons for more than 100 years. Some recent initiatives using "checklists" and many standardized procedures have been instituted with some mixed final results, however the truth remains there is no easy, reliable technique to cut infections substantially. Simply putting "surgical infections" around the list without context is anything only an actuary could do. Going down the list, practically every single among these "errors" defies straightforward solution. Such realities are of little concern to various advocacy groups with political agendas who will use these articles to say "we can say money by avoiding errors". Calling them "medical errors" discounts the practical issues of addressing them. "Error" implies "fixable",that is at best misleading, and at worst outright deception. Is it that we over-parent? What parents need to understand
By Dr Rebecca Huntley
Posted
My very last look on commercial TV has been the usual morning panel where highly made-up ladies discuss “problems” in the paper headlines.
One of the subjects for debate was the increase in crime in certain parts of regional Australia.
My co-panellist launched in the way unworthy and idle modern parents are and an impassioned speech regarding parenting.
I asked her where her evidence was to get her statement and she stared at me like I had been a half-wit. The bad quality of modern parenting appeared to be self explanatory.
We’re hard on parents. By “we”, I suggest everyone.
Parents are demanding on each other and independently. People without kids can be tough for parents, and older generations, including grandparents, could be scathing about “modern” approaches to parenting.
A 2014 Ipsos Global Trends study found that 81 per cent of Australians think that parents don’t take responsibility for the behavior of the children, placing us among the spectrum of countries at the top three.
In the qualitative research I have conducted during the past ten years, the exact criticisms of modern kids and their parents come up time and again: that Australian kids lack esteem, are rude and qualified, are sheltered and mollycoddled, and haven’t the skills or the wit to entertain themselves.
We blame parents who apparently parent too busy at work or self-absorbed to actually pay attention to their kids.
Or, we are too overprotective, not letting kids be kids.
It seems parents can not win either way
They are either overly hands-off or overly hands-on.
Whether today’s kids are in fact worse than previous productions, or even the parents of today have been in fact competent that their agendas, is extremely tough to measure.
The perception which parents and kids are becoming worse seems to have taken hold.
The other component of this discussion that’s quite difficult to locate data that is authoritative on is whether parents do in fact spend less time than they did, say.
Not one of the reliable quantitative or qualitative research paints a picture of dramatically decreasing time spent with kids.
In fact has shown increasing involvement of both mother and dad in kids’ lives participation with homework in addition to managing active schedules.
So if anything, parents often feel that family schedules are weighed down with All This child busyness:
“volleyball, Pilates, all the birthday parties. It never ends.”
The busyness of even our kids is our fears and the final result of our intentions.
We want them to be exposed to lots of unique experiences and also to acquire diverse skills (improving the CV we expect they will put in the work with), beginning them early so that may turn into a boxing champ or a accomplished flute player.
We want them to enjoy activities. We do not want them to feel left out.
But our children’s lives’ busyness is also the consequence of an extreme fear of their own safety.
Parents Are Only doing their Very Best
We may lament the conclusion of a period when kids could play outside unsupervised, but it is a sentiment divorced from how our children’s lives really run.
If we are not paying someone to supervise our kids, we feel the need to personally supervise what they are doing, including the kinds.
If I look back at many of the talk groups I have conducted, the criticism of modern parents was mostly unfair, dominated by a perception that parents are either negligent or helpless, which kids are “out of control”.
Perhaps that’s a human tendency to feel like the past has been better than the uncertain and shaky present.
My experience was parents beating them up continuously if they picture they fall short, and doing their best.
If the rising generation is assumed to be evidence of the parents’ failures I have found very little to be worried about.
Are conscious of their parents’ hard work and their own great fortune. It is because they are just too busy, if they don’t stop to consider it enough.
Instead of being dumb in their approach my experience is that parents devote an excessive amount of time discussing their philosophies and approach with friends and loved ones.
Why should our kids be battery or free-range cage? What is the correct kind of school?
We may worry that we are over-complicating our lives and their lives but in the long run, a lot people can not help but encourage our kids into a complete schedule of activities or dish out for expensive private schooling, although we understand the research shows it doesn’t always provide the very best return on investment.
This investment in our kids is driven by love, but also fear: not merely that they’ll be abducted or hurt, however that no matter how hard they try at school, they will struggle to locate their location in the upcoming labor market, steamrolled possibly by clever and hardworking Asian kids abroad and within our own universities and schools.
As one grandma once put it to me personally quite bluntly: “If our kids do not get a fantastic education, they’ll be cleaning bathrooms for the Chinese.”
If you stand in the shoes of Australian parents, then is seems logical, although we may laugh or cringe at this sentiment.
