Alright, can we take a second to clarify what a binge is?

As someone with BED I'm so sick of seeing "oopsie doopsie I'm so fat, I binged on 3 slices of bread uwu" because it diminishes the struggles of people who ACTUALLY deal with binge-eating. And yes, I'm 100% gatekeeping, this shit is getting so out of hand.

Let's look at the definition of a binge:

Notice the keyword in all of these definitions: EXCESSIVE

A binge is not

Eating a normal sized meal and regretting it

Going past your calorie limit for the day

Just eating quickly

Eating until you're full (or just a little past)

"Oh nooo, I had 2 apples in 1 sitting, I binged so hard 🥺👉👈"

It's really fucking damaging to a lot of people when you try to make binge-eating look dainty and quirky.

I have functional control over my binges now so they are nowhere as bad as they used to be, but they were horrifying in the past. My binges entailed panic and a total lack of control. I've been in the midst of a panic attack while stuffing my face more than once. I've had many blackout binges in my life where I can't even recall having binged, but the evidence is all right in front of me. I've woken up with a bruised stomach lining, making it excruciating to even sit up for days. I've gotten lightheaded from eating so much and so fast that I'm not taking enough time to breathe. I've thrown up blood, bile, and acid after binges before. I've eaten so much that I've had to throw up, not in a purging way, but because the food physically isn't fitting in my fucking stomach. I'm so lucky I never ruptured my stomach, I honestly don't know how I didnt. But despite everything, no matter what, I would be right back to eating in as little as an hour. It's a vicious fucking cycle.

It's. not. fucking. cute.

You will KNOW when you have binged. Sure, it can look very different for different people, but the fact remains that there is a MASSIVE fucking difference between an actual binge and just eating a lot. Binges are often the result of an emotional AND physiological impulse, not just emotional eating.

Please just be more considerate with your wording the next time you go to tell everyone that your life is over because you ate a fucking granola bar.

the amount of times I have rolled my eyes at critiques of blank, that say "yeah the age gap, is cringe because the young one acts like a child"

have you watched beyond the first part of the first episode?

we have two character who are extremely emotionally intelligent

the older one can navigate every social situation that requires emotional intelligence, like a pro, except romance. when it comes to romance is a fucking immature dumbass.

the younger one, can navigate several social situations, but she lacks maturity in understanding why the older one makes some decisions that harm her emotions. romantically she's a whole ass pro. she knows exactly what she wants. the problem is that nobody not even her love interest listens to her. which is why she implements the "cute" "protect me" "I'm a poor meowmeow uwu" strategy, to get what she wants.

with khun nueng, she understands that she has a block of ice in front of her, so she goes full force with her nagging, to achieve the bare minimum of what she wants.

Khun Nueng has a limit, she knows that Anueng is not going to stop being annoying if she doesn't agree to do what she wants.

it's manipulative, YES, it's toxic, YES, but it's also fiction so we excuse it, since it comes from the younger person not the older one.

the first thing we see Anueng saying to Khun Nueng is that she's going to run away.

Khun Nueng is a responsible adult she has to do something. she first makes the girl take the bus back home.

when Anueng is nagging again that she doesnt want to go home, Khun Nueng allows her to stay around her for some time, but with the promise that she will go back, she even rides the bus with her to send her home.

even if Khun Nueng didnt develop romantic feelings for her at this point, she would still do the "responsible adult" thing.

those simple acts from Khun Nueng showed Anueng that the ice is breaking, so she drops the act, when she's with her, in fact when she drops the nagging whiny act she's VERY mature and flirty.

on the very first episode, when Khun Nueng question Anueng why she runs after her, do you understand that I'm an adult and you are just a kid? do you understand we are both women (not in a homophobic way by the way, Khun Nueng have very much slept with women before and her sisters are queer, but in a "reality check" way, as in our society is conservative you do really understand what it means to date another woman? way). at that moment Anueng drops her mask instantly, and in a serious tone, says "who made the law" "who says I cant love a woman" etc that is a non bullshit tone, straight facts tone. when Khun Nueng then asks what is worthy of her to like a girl like Anueng. Anueng again in a very serious tone declares her love for Khun Nueng. what I have is that I love you, I know im not worthy of you right now but I'll work my ass off to be worthy of you one day, WATCH ME!" (not her exact words but yeah)

I made the unfortunate decision to comment on a tiktok saying

Which made me actually realize in the context of Stolitz how much the fandom vilifies Blitz.

Upon rewatch I realized that he is actually kinda innocent lmao. So here comes the rant hop on in Verda rants at 4am again train.

The thing is first of all we need to work our media literacy muscles. So Stolas stans who think he is a uwu babygirl that dod nothing wrong repeat after me. "Blitz didn't watch "just look my way", "owl in a cage" or any other Stolas longing scene that we cried over"

Now that thats setteled I don't want to hear any "he is trying" bs because as of now (pre full moon s2e8) he hasn't actually done anything that Blitz is aware.

Lets start from the top my initial comment was about how Stolas treated him for so long before actually catching the feelings and how Blitz has a right to think he is not genuine.

Up top lest start with the condescending pet names and I won't be hearing Blitz cant be mad at that Stolas does it bc he thinks he likes it... jesus okay s2e1 when stolas starts the imp dirty talk what does blitz do a) encourage him b) get naked and dtf bc that was hot, c) shuts him up

Ding ding ding C. Stolas can still take this as bedtime play sure but we have a case for Blitz not liking it from day one. Other than that we all know he views Stolas' (perhaps in his mind endearing) pet names as condescention.

Secondly even if we ignore the power imbalance Stolas is the one to suggest the transactional fucking... s1e1 even tho in the forst time it was Blitz's doing, sorta. So don't at me saying well Blitz just uses him for the grimoire, like girly duh that was the premise. But Stolas also uses Blitz. Imo lending a book vs fucking in payment is a bot excessive but for Blitz's case beggars cant be chosers.

Now to the elephant in the room... Ozzie's. Does Blitz invite him (Stolas) purely out of selfish intentions that has nothing to do with him? Yes. Is he a dick? Yes. But Does Stolas hide his fucking face when he has a reality check? Yes. But then y'all be mad bc Blitz pulled his hand back.

That night Stolas was read once, Blitz was like at least 2 times... if we don't count the stuff for Stolas by proxy. He was having a hard night bro. And after Stolas invites him he is like no and Stolas respects that. Which if the show didn't add s2e2 in between it wouldve been a perfect stepping stool to get the Stolitz on healthy communication territory but that didn't happen.

I cannot for the life of me pin point when Stolas genuinely falls for Blitz. If its from day one damn it took him long enough to understand what he was doing was wrong.

Anyways we as fans can't be mad at Stolas because we know he is starting to understand the absolute power imbalance he created and the position he left Blitz in. He has realized that the thing is lets remember and repeat "Blitz is not watching the show with us". Blitz doesn't know of this sudden change of heart.

Now to adress a few meaningful interactions we have after ozzies. The fucking pixelated phone texts from s2 western energy.

Stolas apologizes but in that way that I look down upon. "Sorry if" like girl own it up anyways Blitz brushes it off and Stolas instead just goes hehe I didnt care either. Yall need relationship therapy my god. Important thing is Stolas was trying to reach out. But instead of going anything I said that made you upset etc he could've actually apologize properly for getting ashamed. Tho Blitz should also apologize for inviting him on a date for his own gain but thats another bag of worms I won't open tonight.

Other than that he has put off seeing him and doing the transactional fucking for a while. During those times. And as we know from all the phones Blitz breaks after talking to Stolas and hearing hus dirty talk he isn't too excited about. We don't exactly know if he comes or not on those nights. But he is also showm to be quite comfortable in s2e2 with the "my dick is good but its not that good" comment so maybe they do continue the arrangement... idk. Either way we know they haven't really talked.

All I am saying is that both parties of this ship are guilty af of hurting eachother and taking advantage of eachother. But as the power house of this power imbalance, Stolas needs to be held accountable. And he is doing that now!! Or will, in s2e8 and I can't wait to see how that goes. Overall, I can see totally why Blitz shuts down any signs that Stolas might actually be into him. He has a good bunch of reasons too. And as far as we've seen from the trailer we will get to hear him say it out loud as he should.

sooo we're already on the weird/bizarre part of the timeline which involves magic, so fantasy route it is

the schattensucher want to unearth donnerschlag, which in the books is described as the stadium of all stadiums

so why not a magic stadium? it probably has some kind of hidden power they want or something (sorry, still working on the lore)

now donnerschlag just opens through a combination of four powers which are handed to four football teams by the football deities? could that even be a thing?

one was horizon's old team and she herself handed it to them

the second were the wolves and horizon just got it through engineering the erik/jaromir drama (this required trial and error which may explain the silberlichten)

third are dwk (which is why horizon pops up in ragnarok) and the last are the biester but horizon doesn't know that

she just knows, through ✨magic sense or whatever✨, that dwk have faced them so she wants to extract that info out of them

horizon's original plan is just repeating what she did to erik/jaromir with leon/marlon but she starts having her doubts about that working early on

first of all, there's the canon divergence of leonessa being broken up because this is fabi/leon

i even doubt they would come back together after dwk3, nessie isn't blind

that means we get a less dramatic dwk4 (is it even possible given it's so intertwined with the romantic drama?)

(the wessel brothers go beyond the mist either way)

anyway, horizon can't go the freya angle on them, leon only wants to defeat her and isn't thinking about anything else(?)

and while she can definitely charm and manipulate marlon, it's not a foolproof plan

(i like the perspective of magic being involved in this because marlon being about to betray everything due to crushing on a hot girl is not one of my favourite things)

(like sorry, i'd like to think he's smarter than that, he seems to be smarter than that)

(so horizon going slightly daughter of aphrodite on him makes sense)

sooo she decides to kill two birds with one stone and gathers all the magic she can

soo there's the lake scene where horizon confirms she won't be able to pull the same drama with them as leon isn't interested

then she changes route: she manipulates the lake as a portal and puts a tracking spell on leon, then manages to get him swallowed up by the water until he's gone

(and with this, this is like the...3rd? time horizon attempts to murder leon in both fics...yeah, the little shit is very much a favorite of mine lol)

(although it's not like she does this attempted drowning in order to kill him...unlike in the other fic)

meanwhile in hamm, the biester + fabi are just enjoying summer on the lake

that is until one of the girls goes "FABI! COME HERE!" and fabi just hasn't heard them as panicked ever so he's very concerned

he immediately panics as soon as he arrives because the girls are taking out a body out of the water, a body he knows

(i haven't scientifically nor medically proofed this so excuse me if this doesn't make sense)

and well, fabi may very well have had phases of frustration/dislike towards leon that led him to desire seeing him defeated and humiliated

but he has never wished for him to drop dead so he panickedly tries to wake him up

(he would curse them if the situation wasn't so dire)

apparently it says that rauru DID have kids, multiple even, which yeah... is kinda necessary for zelda to even be connected to them so much so that sonia can SENSE a blood connection (which, even with all the excuses with magic, is just a little too far for me to suspend my disbelief bc its over, OVER, ten thousand years worth of generations that seperate her from them that one lil touch of the hand can sense that (feels more like an attempt to make you care about them or .. see them as zeldas "better" parents just bc they exchange a few nice words, i never got the feeling they were 'better' parents and its also kinda disrespectful to her actual parents, like sure rhoam wasnt the best but i wouldnt call rauru better just bc he was polite)- i could see maybe the light power of hylia or sth but since its the coolest dude that ever lived rauru now that had it which still doesnt make sense and makes me unreasonably annoyed and she can sense BOTH of their powers in her? nah) the fact theres NOTHING about them in the game itself is just so ... no way they planned any of this

i dont think theres anything they can do or say that wont make be believe they either

something went really REALLY wrong during development, which kinda seems likely given how the game turned out (im sorry i cannot let go, its not just the writing, the game design too and how little was changed in the map while being so damn expensive, i dont know how people dont feel scammed q_q)

given that they (allegedly) spent the last entire year of development on polish (where??? where????? huh??? like it would make it more understandable (EXCEPT for the price) if there was alot of trouble, which was also bc it got delayed and ... turned out like this, but they dont want to say it, especially given their reputation, with that quote i have heard way too many times 'a delayed game blah blah') i just??

are they just gonna go and do it like they did with kashiwa (kass)? (bet they are also gonna say they did all the stuff like ... moving the shrines around (lol?) and lifting the islands up into the sky- which is still weird bc ... didnt they also say they were living in the sky before coming to the surface?? so where?? did they park all their islands on the surface and the mystery kids had the keys so they had to repark them back into the sky after they returned off camera?? xD also why are the islands so different as an environment if they where from the surface? like even the STONE up there is different- and if they were first in the sky then on the surface and the nback in the sky .. why is there not a single yellow tree or grass in the past- you cant really argue that it changed bc they were up there so long bc .. nothing else changed, the suddendly and totally always there sonau buildings are largely in prime condition, only some slightly moldy, and what we see of the glorious past looks barely any different from the present, aside from like ... some standard trees shuffled, no castle yet and that glowy uwu filter DESPITE that stupidly long time frame between it)

I think people are overreacting when stella in circus episode just revealed tormenting stolas just because she want to or she enjoyed it. The episode itself it's bad they try to make stolas is always innocent but that's just come off make him more annoying than it has to be. The scene he supposedly stand up just seem he whining marry to stella and blame all that problem on her

Stella character is never treated with respect not from the show and not from the fandom. If the fandom actually can give much more proper backstory for stella why she end up being abuser do i have to explain in more further of how she wasn't even a character at all from the show. Also why is people react differently when loona being abusive they don't said anything but when stella did you talk how she is irredemable

I missed the days when the show felt complex and mature by having Stolas doing a big mistake by cheating on Stella and hurting Octavia... *sigh*

When I watched The Circus ep when it came out, my reaction was "whatever". I didnt care about Stolas and the abuse he had because Stella was so freakin cartoonisly evil. Another thing that bothers me is people acting like Stella screaming at Stolas because he cheated on her in their own bed it was a sign that she is abusive.

Bro... Even before we knew about her abuse... Like, I still tough it was a normal reaction! Stolas cheated on her on their OWN BED! And then after he has no shame!

Also, the double standard, yes. When Stella does it, she is a bitch, but when is Loona "aw, she had a sad backstory and has trauma QwQ" oh, so, if Stella had a sad uwu backstory too then you would excuse her abuse too?

I wanna clarify something here. Right now. Im not a fan of Stella. She is unidimensional, and an evil person because. The depth she could have was taken so Stolas was excused from his actions. Is not right what she is doing, but at the same time, is freakin hard to care for Stolas when the whole situation is so cartonish.

LOOK, if they wanted her to make an abusive wife, PERFECT. I do think is important to show that woman can be abusive too! But first:

-The show didnt hint at all. Her screaming and being angry doesnt mean she is abusive. In that moment it made sense that she was, I would be too. Hiring and assasing isnt abusive eather, or is a clue that she is. Ms Macberry did it in the first ep FOR THE SAME REASONS and fans LOVE HER. Stolas did the same thing, but they defend him because the show wobified him. Neglecting dad? Arranged marriage? Abusive wife? The man he loves doesnt love him back? He has depresion? Oh god...

-As I said, they did it so Stolas was completely innocent. Thats why lines like "i would be sorry if i hurt you, but we both know I didnt do that" or "cheating implies there was a betrayal; this woman never gave two shits about me" makes me so freakin annoyed. Because is where is more obvious why they did the abusive stuff. Not to add complexity or to send a message, no, just to excuse Stolas.

Aha, sure she didnt care; thats why she was angry and screaming at you, and trowing stuff, and calling you a cheater, and also hired an assasing because you cheated; NOOOO SHE DIDNT CARE, OFC NOT.

-Stella is a caricature of an abusive person.

In a different show, in a more mature one, like Bojack horseman or Tear along the dotted line, they would accept that the character is flawed. But here, is so... extreme. In the sense that Stolas has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG.

And the Stolitz stuff? I will talk about that in my next post.

also bonus touken headcanon: they’re in their married era, but still new relationship, and while they’ve more comfortable — kaneki still seems hesitant sometimes when he reaches to her, in initiating any sort of skin ship, like he’s unsure of howwhen. Touka finds it endearing and kind of laughable considering they just had a blow ur mind sex like an hour ago, but here kaneki is looking so unsure of how to put his arms around her shoulders. This man is ridiculous. God she loves him.

But sometimes — he catches her completely off guard. They’re were doing smth… idk, making coffee??? And Kaneki makes this voice pitched with alarm and touka bends over to see him fumbling with this amateur thing she KNOWS he can do with his eyes closed and is like wow… Kaneki??? Did you get off the bed on the wrong side???? What is wrong with you. But it turns out it was all a plot for her to give him a cheek kiss without her knowing.

Touka blinks, as she just registers where her lips where and looks up at kaneki who has this big silly smile that says “gotcha” and gives her butterfly in stomach…

Three things I like about my art

Hmmmm lately I've been feeling more happy with my coloring! I feel like finally I've kind of understood what I'm doing and feel more experienced with it. I also like how my sketches look, sketching is always my favorite part and making some cleaned sketches with pencil again has been really nice uwu. And I like how I draw faces! Lately they have been more simplistic but generally, I do like them.

UHHH, actually a piece for a zine so I cant post it here yet but my current favorite touken piece of mine are these two (because im indecisive)

The left one because for once I properly colored them (usually I get lazy with my touken pieces since theyre very indulgent wjvdjwhd) and the other because I adore the style there a lot, especially how kaneki looks🥺 definitely want to try using it more!

NOW TO YOUR SWEET HEADCANON AHHHH, you never disappoint with the touken fluff wjvdjwvdjwvdhwh♥️♥️😭

FIRST OF ALL, mischievous kaneki is ADORABLE and we need more of him. Here and there he can be a little tricksy, especially when he wants to get back to touka because she so often does little pranks and messes with him hehe

Kaneki not knowing how to approach casual intimacy while they fuck everyday is so funny and canon 😭💕 touka is just as ridiculous, kaneki calls her cute and she gets a massive blush as if they havent been dating for MONTHS.

Also, I didnt fully understand the last part. So kaneki tricked her into giving him a cheek kiss or did kaneki give her a cheek kiss 👀 either way, its adorable because kaneki making silly little pranks that are basically just kisses and snuggles orz. Kill me with the fluff, HELP. Touka feeling a little Bad because his pranks are so innocent and loving while he suffers a little when she pranks him JWVJDDVJD

I just want to say. I voted for Yang "protecting" Blake from Ruby. Out of character for me? Yeah. But consider:

Weiss sticking her weapon in Whitley's face, despite all the outrage, was a just a gag. And we all know crwby are just shit at writing comedy post v3. Their brains got infested with terminal unfunny brainworms that sucked out the ability to make a good joke from their system. They couldn't make edgy jokes anymore because they realized they had to pretend to be a progressive company, but that inclination to be meanspirited as fuck is still actually there inside their souls it just shows itself in a different way. And honestly listening to Kerry Shawcross trying to squirm his way through an explanation for it was much funnier than the joke itself so I'll give them that. Yeah sticking a gun sword in the face of a 14 year old is totally character development material I definitely can tell you went to a very professional and important school for writing Kerry (and he did which is also much funnier than the original gag also). Did it mess up Weiss' character? Not really she's always been a bit of a self centered trigger happy bitch. Slay ig!

Yang protecting Blake from Ruby? One moment that destroyed like... 2 characters. Blake for being the pussiest ass bitch and Yang for being herself post v4. "But you just don't understand abuse victims!!!" Yeah maybe but Blake was introduced to us as someone who could 100% hold her own. She didn't need to be reduced down to someone who needed to be protected from scawwy angwy Ruby. Imagine v1-v3 Blake in your head and imagine Ruby yelling at her, could you imagine she would have reacted the same way? I don't even need to explain Yang like truly what kind of behavior is she exhibiting where she implicitly choses protecting Blake from literally nothing over her little sister. Um !

Now look... It's common to reduce a ship down to the "soft uwu baby who needs to be protected" guy and the "I will protect you" guy in fanon. We've all done it. In our heads. We've all blurred canon so hard for a ship we enjoyed. Ever read one of those middle aged woman eroticas or just any fic on ao3? It's normal. But when canon starts doing that that's when you know youre fucked, son. MKEK are so bad at writing romance all they did was take the common woobification of a couple that fandoms do everyday and made it canon. They literally just made fanon canon.

Also the abuse victims excuse is dumb as hell they wanted us to laugh at Weiss threatening her abuse victims brother with physical violence (when we know canonically Jacques was not above threatening his children and hitting them if he was pushed to that point <3) but now I've got to sit here and act like crwby gives a fuck about portraying victims just because of a ship. Booo.

They didnt do this with Weiss' character btw. We see her get uncomfortable around conflict but never to the extent of what they did with Blake. The difference? Weiss isn't a part of a popular fandoms ship.

The next morning, after you had given your ultimatum to the Bracken heir. You found yourself on the back of a horse again (Though you technically had no memory of the first time, but still). Aeron was seated behind you, the only thing he had insisted upon. His arms were wrapped tight around you as the horse wandered the road in a slow trot.

“I still cant believe you talked me into this…” he mumbled, his stern face gazing off into the distance in search of dangers. “You know what happened last time”

“Well i have no memory of it therefore it didnt happen” you quip sticking your nose up at his attitude. “Your being a worrywort Aeron. I was going to have to this eventually as were you needing to get over it.”

Aerons mouth fall agape and you tone. This was not how high-born ladies usually acted. And despite how long you had been awake, Aeron still hadnt gotten use to the change.

“Woman you are giving me a bad case of whiplash… i still dont get how youve changed so much… you are yet to explain yourself to me.” He snaps, tone increasing in annoyance.

“Stop here. We are far enough.”

Obediently, He stops the horse and ties it up to a low hanging branch. You get off and find a nice spot to sit. As you sit to motion for Aeron to do the same. “It will be better for you to sit. It may take a while.”

As you had suspected, the more you tried to explain it in a way he would understand, the more bewildered he looked.

“Wait. So your telling me there is another existence, or ‘world’ as you called it. 'You’ are from there. 'You’ died being run over by a carriage, at the same time my version of you - the girl i grew up with and was to marry - fell off the horse at died?” He repeated. “But that doesnt explain why you inhabit her body and why she isnt here. Does that mean she if where you once were?”

“No. Unfortunately not”

“But you dont know that!” He shouted. Moving to his knees to grab at your shoulders roughly.

“But i do. I felt that body die. I felt my heart stop.” You state coldy. It stops Aeron’s incoming tirade in it tracks. He breathes heavily as you continue, a cool wisp in your voice. “You said that she was in a fevered state for days right? That was 'her’, desperately trying to recover. But for some reason the soul - her soul - wasnt strong enough. So, my theory is, when i died where i was from, her body reached out and clung to my soul as it left my old body to 'fill the gap’ and make this body strong enough to recover… but in the process some of 'her’ memories were lost.”

The young mans hands on your shoulders seem to tighten as his breathing becomes laboured. Unshed tears begin to form in his eyes.

“Im so sorry. I didnt mean for this to happen… i had no idea it was even possible.”

“Youre wrong”

“What?”

“This cant be happening… youve gone mad, the hysteria has finally gotten to you and you gone mad as a way to punish me for letting you fall. Its the Seven’s punishment meant to torment me as you were in those days of fevered rest…” He pushes you away as he gets up. Pacing and biting his nails while mumbling.

“Oh for the love of-” you get up after him and whirl him round to face you. Slapping him so hard across the face that it echos in the small secluded clearing. “GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF AERON BRACKEN” you shout. “The gods care very little over the folly of men if they exist at all. No one is trying to torment you with divine punishment i promise, as of right now i need you to pull your head from your arse and put that brain of yours to use.” You rant giving him a firm shake as you firmly grip his shoulders. “Can you do that for me”

“Y-yes i can…” he mutters feebly, still in a daze.

“Yes what?!”

“Yes M'lady!”

“Good!”

You then pull him in a fierce hug. One that seems to take his breath away. A beat of silence passes as he returns your gesture; arms shaking as if youll disappear again if he lets go. You pull away just enough to see his face, and the handprint on his cheek which burns an angry red. You kiss it tenderly, making the rest of the young heirs face match its colour. “I apologise for hitting you my dear, but i need that beautiful mind of yours working on a way to save your family from burning rather than spiralling out of control.”

The Bracken heir smiles as his arms maneuver themselves into a different position.

“Thats alright… though, is it bad to say that i kinda liked that? I think i may be getting used to this new personality of yours…” he smirks

“Aeron!” You gasp, smacking his chest playfully, happy the tense mood had been diffused. “Be serious right now! We need to figure this out! If i am to wed you and give you all the heirs you desire i need to know your house will live long enough to become my house!” You argue, tone lightly scolding but still light. A light tinge colours Aeron’s ears at the mention of heirs but it is brushed off as his tone becomes more serious.

“What would you have me do? My father is the current lord. A lot of people respect his judgment, i barely have enough sway to make any input in our own house meetings. You were there. You saw what it is i face in that room” He sighs as his head bumps into your shoulder in defeat. “Unless of course you expect me to duel him for the seat of lord. Which if i may remind you, i am very much mediocre at.”

“And you know of no one in the family that thinks like you do, like us? I remember making some very valid points that last time. I think i even saw some of them consider it.” You mention thinking back to the meeting you had interrupted.

“Well dear that still doesnt change the fact that im still only the current lords heir.” Aeron counters

“Well…” you mumble trailing off “Does a duel have to be with swords?”

“(Name)…”

“What?”

“(Name)… you are actually asking me to fight my father? Right?”

Aeron is met with your silence.

“….Right?”

“Do you proposed an alternative?” You ask

“You wished for me to be serious and yet you suggest such a thing to me?! I need you to be serious right now (Name)! Yes a duel for lordship is typically done with swords, something i again say i am very mediocre at!”

“Firstly, you initially suggested it-”

“In jest my love!”

“Let me finish” you scold before continuing “Second, you are a knight are you not. People arent typically knighted if they’re only 'mediocre’ at swordplay. Ive seen you, you are good. You are also brave and compassionate. Something your father lacks. I need you to be brave and fight your father. Of course, the choice is ultimately up to you… i never want you to feel pressured… but i cant think of anything else that may secure our future together… i dont want everything i love to burn…” you gingerly take his hands and bring them to your lips. “Think on it at least a little though. Its not an entirely bad idea.”

The sun has started to set by the time you arrive back at stone hedge. The ride back itself had finally brought about a feeling of normalcy, after not feeling at home in your own skin - your own mind - it felt good for your betrothed to now know your truth. But as the gates begin to close so too does the sweet moment you had been having, as one of Aerons cousin comes rusing up looking distressed.

“Aeron! Where in the seven hells have you been?! You were gone for nearly the whole day! The boys and i were looking everywhere for you!” He wheezes, face beet red and sweaty.

“Erik? Whats wrong? I had just gone for a ride with (Name). I was sure to tell the guards at the gate to let people know i was gone if anyone went looking for me” he murmurs in confusion. He slides off the horse and makes his way over to Erik.

“Yeah, which wouldve been fine… had we not received a raven from the princess Rhaenyra… asking to reaffirm our loyal to her. A meeting is currently being held to determine our response… there is talk about ignoring the letter and awaiting further news from kings landing…” he mutters.

You feel the world around you collapsing. You hadnt realised you were approaching the point of no return. The thoughts swirling in your mind begin to make you feel sick. You can hear the bracken pair exchange some more hushed whispers, growing more frantic as the moments whirl passed but you cant seem to hild enough focus to hear them as your own panic sets in.

Im too late. I thought i would have more time!

“(Name)? Are you ok? You look pale. Come, lets get you inside and have the maids make a warm bath for you. Erik knows better than to speak of such distressing matters to a Lady.” Aeron says, lightly slapping his boy cousin for running his mouth.

“Yes… apologies Lady (Name).” He responds bowing apologetically.

“Aeron…” you whisper, tears brimming in your eyes. “I cant… im sorry… i thought I could-” you whimper as hot tears you can no longer hold back begin to break free.

“My love what are you saying? Whats wr-”

“Forgive me.”

As Aeron begins to move back to you and the horse you wrench at the reigns and turn the horse around, kicking it into gear.

“Keep those gates open!” You shout, hurtling towards the gates without a second thought. Panicked and startled the guards freeze; haulting the gates movement and diving out of the way of the raging horse. Flung from his daze in a similar manner, Aeron rushes to the nearest horse and races after you.

“For the love of the gods, (Name)!”

Wind rushes past your ears and the cold starts to bite at your exposed cheeks. The sun feels like its setting faster now. Further driving your fear and desperation to spur your stolen steed foward.

“I thought we had made an agreement! Talk to me please!” The Bracken heir howls, trying to keep pace. But the headstart you had didnt seem to be closing, and his pleas were merely being lost to the wind. As the scenery races by him his begin to panic. You are deathly close to Blackwood territory. You, being a Tyrell and having no ties to the Bracken household - at least not yet - would be able to cross. Him? His crossing would be a declaration. It would not doubt start a fight.

One he scarcely had time for.

He jerks his horse into a stop mere meters away from where the boundary stones were. He can only stare in sorrow and grief as he lets you slip through the open field unchallenged. You continue riding hard, only looking back when you dont hear the hoofbeats of your pursuer. You slow to a stop and stare back at him your eyes mirroring his in pain and sadness. You hold the moment a breath longer before charging off again into the darkness and dangers of the Blackwood lands.

You had no clue where exactly Raventree Hall was. A rough idea sure, but being with the Bracken Household you werent exactly allowed to exlore the rivals home turf. After getting off the grassy fields you decided the best way to get to the Blackwood house would be by road. You were no longer being chased, so you had room enough to move at a slightly slower pace.

But you didnt want to dawdle.

A while later a large structure begins to form of the horizon; Raventree Hall. You had made it. Your navigational victory is short lived as an arrow lands a few paces in front of your horse, causing it to slightly rear up in fight.

“Hold there stranger or the next one goes between your eyes!” You feminine voice bellows.

Crap. Black Aly.

“Im not a Bracken!” You shout back, sliding semi gracefully of the horse and putting your hands up. “Im Lady (Name) Tyrell! Im unarmed and seeking sanctuary!”

“And why would we let a wench betrothed to one of those filthy snot nosed Brackens into our home!” A new voice shouts, masculine this time. You can just make out the silhouette of dark haired man, similar in age as you and Aeron.

Must be Davos…

“Since this 'wench’ wishes to kneel to the rightful heir to the iron throne queen Rhaenyra Targaryen! Along with potentially stopping a war between dragons.” You say slowly inching forward and into better light. Silence follows and as you try to stand with as much authority as one in your position possibly can, you begin to get nervous. The gates swing open and the voices from before; Davos and Aly step out. They are flanked by some of their men, bows and swords at the ready.

“You give such a welcome to all those who seek sanctuary within your walls? Im touched to be so kindly considered” you smirk, trying to hide under a false bravado.

“For a delicate Lady of flowers and gardens you sure act like you dont have an arrow at your throat” Aly sneers, arrow nocked and ready.

“Flowers are pretty and delicate yes, but they often have thrones and can be used for poison.” You shoot back, eyes meeting dark pools of brown.

“A question for you my lady, how do you intend to stop this 'war of dragons’ by using that sharp tongue to weave sweet honeyed words to stop people from fighting?” Davos teases, seemingly impressed at your gall, but unconvinced by you words.

“Easy. I need to speak to that big dead tree of yours.” You haughtily claim.

“I cant believe you actually let her in Davos.” Aly grunts the group having now moved into the main courtyard area where the ancient weirdwood tree sat. “A pretty girl bats her eyelashes at you, makes a demand from her pretty face and you, in a typical manly fashion bend to her whim like a reed in the wind”

“So you admit that she is pretty” Davos teases, earning a hard elbow to the ribs which has him keeling over for breath.

“Besides the point!” She hisses “we know nothing about her. For all we know this could be some ploy by the brackens, a test of her loyalty or something to their family in order to hurt ours.”

“What could one girl do to a tree that has been dead for almost a thousand years dear aunt?” He reasons

“I dont know? Setting it on fire?” She murmurs

“A doubt she could do that much damage by her lonesome. And if she did, there is no bracken here to save her, she would be dead before she even lit a torch”

“So you say…” Aly grumbles arms crossed.

“Can you two pipe down? This is hard enough as it is with so many eyes watching me.” You chastise.

That… paired with the fact that i have NEVER done this before!

You close your eyes again and focus. You think how best to approach this. Taking a steadying breath you place your hands on the tree and whisper. “Helaena?… Helaena can you hear me?”

“Yes.”

“Aaahh!” You shriek, tumbling to the ground as you trip over a nearby root. “Holy hells girl give a lady some warning before you jump out like that!” Startled you turn and find her standing in the courtyard with you. Only it is just the two of you. Confusion must have been etched on your face because before you can ask Helaena speaks.

“They are still here, just in a different space. Like a reflection.”

“So you mean the pair of us are in the network then? And it only looks like this because this is wear the tree is?” Helaena hums at your question, like your explanation is somehow childish compared to her understanding.

“I need to speak to you, im sure you know about what. Aegon will become king soon, and with it, the downfall of the Targaryens will surely follow.”

She nods

The grief of a loss that hasnt happened yet - a choice she know has no right answer - haunts her.

“Is Luke dead yet?” You ask sternly.

Helaena shakes her head.

“Then there is still time. There will always be time to steer the world on a gentler path for those who know which way the river bends.”

At the reassurance in you voice, a small smile forms on her face.

It is disorientating when you next open your eyes again, as you are face to face the carving on the weirdwood tree. You turn and collect your bearings, this time minding the nearby root you had previously 'fallen’ over.

“Finally” Aly sighs “i felt my legs going numb from standing”

“You didnt need to be here.” You growl “im pretty sure 3 bowmen, and two swordsman are enough guards… unless you think id be able to outmanoeuvred them in this intricate gown… or that they are inept”

Davos snorts but is silenced by Aly. She straightens and glares you down, the cool tones of her eyes now heated with barely concealed rage. “You better watch that thorned tongue of yours flower-girl, lest someone cut you down a size.” She swaggers off and you are left with the remaining Blackwood entourage.

“Ignore her, she is just cranky that she missed dinner.” Davos jests “ill escort you to the chambers youll be using during your stay with us M'lady. It may not be as nice as the ones from your own in Highgarden, but i hope it suits a flower as beautiful as you” he winks.

You roll your eyes, but wait for him to lead the way. “I believe i may grow tired of you and your family’s flower puns if you keep this up.” You say, wincing when you realise your error. Davos laughs loudly.

“And here i thought we were getting along” he wipes a forming tear from his laughter as he winds his way through the corridors. “Here we are. I hope you have pleasant dreams.”

You walk into the room, fall into the bed and groan into the pillows.
