Pedri via Residency - July 18, 2024
How are you feeling? - "Incredible! Winning the Euros was crazy"
How is the injury? - "Better every day. I've just started my holidays, but I'm training every day to recover and start the season at the top of my game"
Winning the World Cup? - "I can't even imagine that feeling. It's the dream that every child who plays football wants to fulfil. I have already won LaLiga with Barça and now the Euros with Spain. Now on to the Champions League and the World Cup"
How did your family react to seeing you win the Euros? - "They were very happy! They were with us at every game of the tournament and at the celebrations"
Feelings for next season? - "Very good, both personally and as a team. It could be a great year"
Winning World Cup or Champions League? - "Why choose? That's like choosing between your dad and mom"
How did you feel when you were lying on the ground because of your injury? - "I knew what he had done to me that was going to stop me from playing. I was in pain and also annoyed that I had to stop because of the injury."
Do you like Japan? - "Yes! I like sushi... and I won an Olympic medal there"
Will Nico come to Barça? - "I have no answer to that question. What is clear is that he would be a great signing for Barça. He has shown what he is capable of in the Euros"
Would you play as a goalkeeper? - "Hahahaha that's what my father was there for. There is no need for more goalkeepers in my family"
Did you have a great time at the Euros celebrations? - "I had a crazy time, actually. It was a moment of celebration with the whole country after a great tournament. Although I had to take care of my knee at all times. The rest of the players didn't have that problem 🥲" (kroos i am gonna find you istg)
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? - "Well... playing football at the highest level, like now. In the future I want to start a family, but in 5 years i am not so sure"
Is it fun to do photoshoots? - "I always say no to my team and especially at the beginning I was embarrassed, but now I'm used to it. I try to have fun and have a good time, although I prefer a ball to a camera"
Advice when you suffer from your first big injury? - "Well, be patient, because in the end, with work and effort, the good times return"
Feelings for the new season? - "I think it's going to be really good. Now it's time to rest a bit and recover and get back to work as soon as possible under the orders of the new coach. We are sure that this new season will bring us a lot of joy."
Do you have a favourite female singer? - "Hora Cero, by Myke Towers, is the one I've liked the most lately... and of course 'Pedro' by Raffaella Carrá" (sir that's not an answer and we both know it lol)
Real Madrid will win La Liga again - "Veremos..."
Advice for young players? - "Have fun playing and try not to lose the things that street football gives you"
Favourite teammate? - "Ferran. The truth is, he is a great teammate and friend. He always supports me and gives me advice"
Is Ferran single? - "I would say so, unless he's gotten a girlfriend since Tuesday when I haven't seen him"
Your best friend? - "I have several. Dani, Fran and Rubén, who have been my friends since childhood"
Are you excited about the new Camp Nou? - "I am already looking forward to playing there again. Playing at the Camp Nou will surely help us on be on top... The visit impressed me, because of the project and because I saw how it works inside"
Where are you on vacation? - "As always, I am on holidays on my island, in Tenerife"
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Looking like my profile picture (a picture of him being bald)? - "Yessss. Everyone is asking me if I am going bald... one day I will, for sure! That's easier than having Cucurella's hair"
Dream vacation? - "Wherever it is, with my family and friends"
Who do you think will be the next Golden Boy? - "Lamine, 100x100"
Tea or coffee? - "I drink neither"
Are you learning English? - "I learnt a bit… let's see if after the holidays I really get into it and speak it properly soon"
Where did your obsession with bananas come from? - "It's not an obsession. It's true that i really like them and in the Canary Islands, it's a typical product used in many recipes"
What do you do so bad comments don't affect you? - "do things as good as possible. I know what I do and what I do not do; I cannot control what people say or invent"
You promised to grow a mustache. When will you do it? - "Maybe I am doing it these days and then I will share some photos" (NO PLEASE DON'T)

Interview with Euronymous for Morbid Magazine 1987
You had planned a tour in Italy, what will happen now that Manheim is gone?
Euro: We'll just use Torben. But the tour will be in December instead of August as first planned. This is for several reasons.
Does Maniac use distortion on his vocals or is his voice natural?
Euro: Maniac's voice is actually natural! When I first heard him I was sure that he used distortion, but he don't. You can hear that on the demo/record, because he and Messiah use the same mike together! But I think he uses some ki nd of space effect.
How do you manage to play so fast?
Euro: Well, you know that the more practice you get the faster it goes, and we've played for three years, now. But we don't play fast compared to bands like Napalm Death! They're fast!
Has your demo sold well?
Euro: We've sold some, but most people prefer to wait for the record, I think. We've sold a couple of hundred records, even before it's out!
Are any record labels interested to make a deal with you?
Euro: I don't know.We haven't tried to get a deal yet. We recently got a letter from some label called Thunder Records. They wanted a demo so I sent them one. But except from that we haven't sent out any demo to record companies at all.A lot of people have told us that we'd get a deal easily, but we hate record companies. If we'd sign a deal, we'd loose all control. Now we do everything ourself, distribution, promotions and stuff, on our own label called "Posercorpse Music, Inc. "If we sign a deal, we might get much better distribution and more money, but still we prefer to do things ourself. I mean, which rec. company would print our lyrics? However, if we one day do sign a deal, I doubt that it will be more than a one or two record deal.
Were do people that buy your demo come from?
Euro: From all of the world. We've even got a lot of letters from strange places like Japan, Australia, Poland, Chile and Peru!
What do you think of the Norwegian thrash scene?
Euro: It sucks, but I think it starts to build up now. More and more people seem to become active in the scene which I think is good. One thing which also is good is that punks and thrashers now start uniting. But I think that more girls should get into the scene! I know about just 5-6 of them here in this country. However, the Norwegian scene has alot of suckers! It is people who just walk around, thinking "I listen to Slayer, I'm hard!" and we also have those who make crooked use on bands and others, I'm not going to mention any names, but this is Bad!
Do you feel that many people buy your demo after they have read a Fanzine with you in it?
Euro: Yeah, I think that's the way most people get to know about us. We've also been played on lots of local radios everywhere, but it's deffinetly the fanzines who make most of the promotion.
What music do you listen to?
Euro: Personally I listen a lot to electronic syntheziser music like Klaus Schule, Tangerine Dream, Conrad Schnitzler and Brian Eno. I also listen to lots of thrash and some hardcore. But, NO disco shit, pop music or HM.
What do you think about Vomit and the music they play?
Euro: They rule! Their new stuff is so great! To be honest, I think they're better than us! They're really great guys. When Manheim left us they lent us Torben and they let us come to practice at their rehearsalplace every weekend. That's a cool attitude. Support them! They will have a new demo out this autumn.
You visited Kreator some time ago, how did they react when they first heard you?
Euro: The German thrashers are psychos! At that time we had only released "P.F.A" demo, and a lot of them loved it! Then you have to be sick!
You've got some help from Metalion of Slayer Mag. what do you think of him and the Fanzine?
Euro: Metalion is a fucking great guy and our best friend. If it haden't been for him....... The Deathcrush record is dedicated to him, and he truly deserves it! His 'zine is one of the best ive seen and also definitely the sickest.

Hello, I am Amira, not a robot, and I only need two minutes of your time.
Can you support my campaign? I’m not asking for a financial donation, but I need you to adopt the campaign and spread it consistently. I want you to embrace it with all your heart. Imagine yourself in my place, watching my mother so ill, and I can’t help her. She moves between camps and shelters, barely able to walk from exhaustion. I am unable to provide her medicine. We are living in a dark, freezing place, and the sounds of bombing terrorize us.
I am asking you to share my story and ask the world: Can you help us provide treatment for my mother and buy blankets to relieve the cold? Just 5 euros can make a big difference for us.
Please carry this campaign in your heart and give it everything you’ve got. Your help means there is still hope, and that goodness still exists. Please don’t hesitate, we need you.

okay okay details:
I started crying as soon we started walking to our section, we were in the 400’s, but my tickets were under 80 euro, and the stadium was a smaller one so we were still pretty close.
I made so many videos, I wasn’t really living in the moment ☹️ but like it’s Taylor Swift, I want to remember everything. My iPhone 12 mini did not fail me with the quality tho. However, the sound was a bit too good so it’s basically mine and Taylor’s concert (I was constantly screeching in the background, especially during the lover era (when I hadn’t lost my voice yet), during ttpd and the surprise songs)
MY SURPRISE SONGS ARE MY BABIES. First she sang imgonnagetyouback, which I literally predicted (the night before I was singing the lyrics, as one would, and accidentally sang: “whether I’m gonna be your bike or gonna smash up your wife” 🫣 the song had been stuck in my head the ENTIRE week (it was a sign)) and then she complimented us on how loud we were and sang dress (caught my beautiful screeching to that on camera). On piano she first sand you are in love, which was my favourite song a while back so it just means so much to me 🥹 and it’s the cutest love song… and then… she sang cowboy like me. The day before I texted my friends saying if she sang that song, I would die… … she sang cowboy like me… I had to recover during the Midnights set.
I also bought a lot of merch beforehand, so I did miss paramore ☹️ I had just graduated so my parents gave me some money to spend at the eras tour. I got the grey zip up, the back t-shirt and the white one as well (my mom’s colleague is a big fan too and she went in Paris, but she was pretty pregnant at the time so didn’t wait for merch and I bought her a t shirt and made a matching body for when the baby was born hehe), I also got the tapestry (I originally wanted the poster with the dates and city, but it was sold out. The cashier told me the tapestry was the same price + it was like 5 times bigger) and then I got the tote bag!
Sorry this is all over the place 😭 if you wanna know more, please feel free to ask. I’m manifesting she comes to India for the next one!!! 💗
- 🌷
OMG, this is everything!! (੭´༎ຶ ཀ ´༎ຶ)੭ Your whole experience is like a dream (and definitely meant to be with those surprise songs!). I can’t believe imgonnagetyouback was stuck in your head the whole week—that’s the universe literally setting it up for you! And Dress and You Are in Love?? And then Cowboy Like Me right after?! I think I’d just be a puddle on the floor during Midnights trying to recover, too. (•‾⌣‾•)و ̑̑♡
Also, the merch haul! That’s so sweet of you to get a matching onesie for your mom's colleague’s baby! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
And the tapestry sounds epic; it’s like a piece of the tour to keep forever. (⸝⸝ ♡﹏♡⸝⸝)
And honestly, I get recording everything—it’s Taylor! Plus, your iPhone 12 mini sounds like it came through clutch! I’m manifesting with you that she comes to India because this experience sounds magical, and I need this energy closer to home!! (づ> v <)づ♡
Thank you for all the details, this just made my day! ⸜(。 ˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Hello dear🌹
I hope you are well and healthy.
I am Moatasem from Gaza, please help me and my brothers to get out of the woes of war, we hope to learn,We need urgent help, especially since schools are at the door, and we cannot enter Egyptian schools because they require a residence permit, and we have no choice but to enter private schools, but they need a lot. please share the pinned post on my page, and donate if you can for the necessity of cruelty🙏
https://gofund.me/66214924
Hello, I am Etaf Al-Qataa,I'm from Gaza, Im34 years old ,I am a wife and a mother of five children. and I am communicating with you with a heavy heart and on behalf of my family, consisting of seven members, including 5 children. We were trapped in the devastating situation in Gaza. We were urgently seeking evacuation to Egypt after enduring more than 200 days of displacement and hardship. I seek to help them urgently and provide them with the minimum requirements. The occupation demolished our beautiful home and took my husband’s job and his car. I was displaced and was able to escape the scourge of war to Egypt, after fleeing to Deir al-Balah in Gaza and tasting the bitterness of displacement and losing a lot. Today, I find myself in a situation I never expected. The conflict in Gaza has left my family in desperate need of help. And here I did not find any money for the family’s expenses after the occupation managed to take away everything we had and we went back a lot. This war took our livelihoods and our factories, and we are struggling to survive. This is our house that was destroyed by the occupation. It was a beautiful house that contained all our beautiful memories, me and my family. We put a lot into it. This is my husband, Youssef Esleem, He is 38 years old, whose business was destroyed by the occupation, his merchandise was burned, his car was destroyed, and we no longer have any other source of income. His beautiful laughter was stolen and turned into sadness after this. This is my eldest son, Moataz Esleem, and behind him is his brother, Moatasem Esleem. They excelled in their studies, and had high grades and were among the top students in school. However, the occupation took away their money to complete their educational rights. We were living a happy life before, but the smile was taken from me and my family. These are my children, Maria who is 7 years old, Adam who is 4 years old, and Amira who is 3 years old. Maria was the first in her class and they had a beautiful life before the war, but the occupation took away their joy. We were from a very high-class family and the occupation wanted to destroy that in us, but we will not help the occupation destroy us and with your help we will rise again, Your donations will provide essential assistance to help my family rebuild our lives. Here's how the money will be used: 1- Rent and utilities: to provide a safe and stable place for the family to live in. 2- Basic needs: to cover the costs of furniture, clothing, groceries and daily necessities. 3- Educational support: to help Moataz, Moatasem, Maria and Adam continue their education and work for their future. 4- Medical and psychological care: to address any health needs and provide psychological support as they adapt to their new life. 5- Your contribution to my husband’s small project, in order to work to earn a living, which costs 30 thousand euros. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge impact, and your generosity will help my family find stability and hope in these difficult times. We are so grateful for your kindness and support that gives us the strength to rebuild our dreams. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion and generosity. Etaf

My name is Anas Al-Sharfa. Since October 7, 2023, we have been suffering from a brutal war that has destroyed our dreams and hopes, exceeding the limits of human comprehension. During this savage war, we have endured hardships that mountains could not bear. We are facing severe water shortages and a critical lack of food and nutrition due to the blockade in northern Gaza for the past 10 months, preventing essential supplies like meat, vegetables, and fruits from entering. This situation has forced us to eat animal feed, leading to weight loss, various diseases, and a significant weakening of our immune systems.
We also suffer from severe water shortages, often walking nearly 1 kilometer to obtain a single gallon of water, which is approximately 16 liters, barely enough for five family members. As a result of the war, our home and agricultural land, which used to provide our daily sustenance, were destroyed and completely bulldozed, leading to major disruptions in our lives. We have also suffered from repeated displacement, moving from one place to another and from one area to another due to the horrific and brutal bombings.
Additionally, we have been deprived of education and the opportunity to build a future. I was studying to become a doctor to help people, but fate did not allow this as my university, where I dreamed of studying, was destroyed. I have been overwhelmed with thoughts during this war—how will I build my future? How will I complete my studies?
We also suffer from fear and terror due to bombings, fire belts, and explosives. Hospitals, which are the lifeline for every sick and needy person, have also been destroyed. We face a shortage of medicines and vaccines while diseases increase and ravage us, with no solution in sight as there are no hospitals or medical supplies available here in Gaza. We live in constant fear for my younger siblings because they haven't received their general vaccinations, particularly after the widespread outbreak of polio due to the lack of cleaning supplies and the massive accumulation of waste in the streets. The streets are also flooded with sewage, posing a grave threat to our children. My brother suffered from jaundice, battling it for about two weeks with fatigue, dizziness, and other symptoms. It's a deadly disease, and as mentioned before, there’s no treatment available due to the destruction of hospitals and health centers.
We are also suffering from the absence of cooking gas, forcing us to use wood and plastic to start fires, which could lead to poisoning. We've been without electricity since October 7, spending days in darkness, causing immense fear in my younger siblings. This has also made it extremely difficult to charge our phones and batteries for lighting at night. We had to travel kilometers from our home to find places with electricity, incurring high costs to charge our phones and batteries.
Moreover, we have had no stable income since the beginning of the war after our agricultural land was destroyed.
I kindly request assistance for my family so that we can live a better life.
https://www.gofundme.com/f/7fn48y-gaza-palestine
anas's campaign is at only €230 out of €50,000. if you're able to, please donate any amount of euros! even €5 can help a lot. if you cannot donate, then share and reblog as much as possible.

back with more!
-so back to 2016 Briefly. i need you all to know that nico did Bonkers shit to win. this was pre driver weight minimum restrictions so to get weight off the car (so he could go faster) he took the paint off his helmet (it was previously yellow because he and lewis had yellow helmets when they karted together or something), he cut his socks, he took parts off his seat, he stopped cycling to loose muscle in his legs, he stopped sleeping with his wife to focus better and No he should Not have done this but its important to know that he Did and that was why he Stopped because he knew racing lewis was quite literally killing him and he couldnt keep at it
-and like willd shit happened that season too. notably they crashed into eachother in Barcelona and toto aparently made them pay for the damages. they had an insane teammate rivalry. one of the most insane.
-yes he is the only one to beat lewis at his peak in equal machinery
-so anyway he announces his retirement at the 2016 prize giving ceremony which was like less than a week after the championship was won
-prior to that he and lewis did a press conference together at the last race in abu dhabi and by all accounts theyre like not really getting along too well at this point and lewis spends like a whole several minutes praising nico being like yeah whatever happens happens in the race and ive loved racing with him as a teammate like we dreamed about this as kids im proud of him hes come so far blah blah blah and nicos like. in tears next to him (remember lewis didnt know that if nico won he was retiring) and nico says something about how the only thing he could manage to eat that week was fucking kellogg frosties which was the stupid cereal the two of them used to eat and yeah you all see how insane this is anyway i could go on but i will Not
-so nico retires after his first and only win to everyones surprise, lewis goes on to win 4 (or 5 depending on who you ask) consecutive titles
-nico fucks off and does his own thing for awhile, as i said hes married and he has two girls and he also has a youtube channel that he used after he left racing to pretty much like praise the shit out of lewis hamilton and his driving and whatever else
-he also returns to the paddock as a part time commentator for sky sports. which is very interesting because its pretty obvious every time that he is there that he hates pretty much everyone on the commentary team and has no regard for rules and just says whatever the fuck he wants. its pretty clear he doesnt do it for money (he has more than enough of that) but doe sit cause he actually like racing and cars and all that (its really interesting to hear him speak about the cars cause he actually knows how to explain things well)
-this is sort of a disaster sometimes but its an interesting disaster. because on top of everything nico is fucking Smart. im pretty sure (and again none of this is fact checked) that he got into some top engineering college and decided to race instead. like the things he knows about racing and cars is wild. so the normal commentators will say something and nico will be like no. incorrect. wrong. see what he did there? he lost 2 tenths on that corner. his brake balance was off. his engine mode needs adjusting. they need more downforce. or whatever. and he will be Right.
-he also just. says things. like again, theres really only so much you can reveal that is public knowledge. last weekend Alone when he was commentating on a practice session he was like hehe yeah so i have an offer in my email right now to buy part of alpine (a team which has repeatedly denied that they are Not for sale btw) and i could buy it but its too much of a disaster so im not interested. oh how much is it? why should i tell you??? oh i will anyway its a billion euros! for example.
-and then he will also call people the hell out. presently hes waging absolute war against mclaren because they refuse to distinguish a number 1 and number 2 driver and thats exactly the hot water mess that nico found himself in at mercedes with lewis (tho. as i have said. lando and oscar are NOT comparable to brocedes. no one ever was and no one ever will be again the circumstances were too insane)
-so yeah. he shows up in a cunty weird and kind of ugly outfit (usually consisting of several different shades of white), takes a picture in front of a team or a person or makes a prediction that curses someone (unless its lewis lewis is immune to the curse), says bonkers shit, prasies lewis hamilton live on air and then leaves
-and yeah he still praises the hell out of lewis and talks about how incredible of a driver he is and this and that and knows literally his driving style inside out and backwards (the clips of him commentating on lewis laps are insane) but despite this lewis will not talk about him, will not even mention him, will actually go out of his way to not mention him (for the Record i am obligated to put here that i dont think lewis owes nico anything at all whatsoever and i am not saying that he does, but this is a post about nico not lewis) meanwhile nicos like has anyone talked about lewis recently? has anyone pulled out an insane career stat of his that is slightly obscure? cause i will and ill do it right now
-and they live in the same apartment building in monaco but apparently dont speak to eachother because of how awful the teammate thing was but every now and then nico will drop some insane piece of lore that has everyone going hold on wait fucking What (like that lewis gets his kids presents at christmas)
-but yeah other than that hes like busy being a girl dad and posting on his favorite social media platform (LinkedIn) (yes i am serious) and spends a lot of time advocating for the environment and figuring out how to make f1 and cars better for the planet and all that and yes he also had a terrible botox era that we wont talk about but yeah overall. insane man. absolutely insane. no ones ever done it like him and no one ever will again.

and if youre really enthralled, this highlight reel from his youtube
youtube
hey wait im also new to f1 but i saw the other ask and i was curious abt what you meant when you said no one will ever do it like nico rosberg?? also retiring after your first championship win is insane lmao what a power move
nico rosberg is just. he’s insane. he’s cunty. he’s wonderful. he possesses sass and audacity unlike any other. we unfortunately do not have time to get into his whole story (my lunch break is only so long) but here’s some highlights:
-technically he’s a nepo baby. his dad, keke rosberg, won the world championship in 1982 and they remain one of the Few father son duos to both win a world championship (don’t ask me who the others are idk but i know they exist)
-he and lewis hamilton met when they were kids in the late 90s sometime and were gokarting teammates at some point in i think the early 2000s? (not fact checking i don’t have the time rn) and they were Besties. they’ve talked about this before, mostly in older interviews, but the gist is that both of them were outcasts from the other karting kid in opposite ways (nico was the son of a champion and rich and lewis was from nothing and pretty much the only poc most of the time) and that drew them together and they were Menaces according to legend. everything was a competition and they trashed hotel rooms and ate pizza and ice cream and kellogg frosties and went to greece and dreamed of being in f1 together
-nico signed with williams in 2006. his teammate was mark webber. and nico had long flowing blonde hair (this is important). he crashed at one race and mark webber said “britney’s in the wall” cementing the nickname britney, like britney spears. jenson button (another driver) said later on that they called nico britney because he was “very pretty” (do with that what you will)
-he was just. insane. cunty. constantly looked like a european bond villain. wore god awful shoes. whole bit. once he stayed in his car when it got craned off the track cause he didn’t want his hair to get wet. which is insane cause he’s wearing a helmet it would have gotten equally as not wet had he gotten out.
-anyway, lewis made it to f1 in 2007 and they had their first podium together i think that year (?) and it’s cute and fun and oh boy you’re not ready for what these two have coming
-lewis won the championship in 2008 (but he almost won in 2007, his rookie year) at mclaren.
-nico went to mercedes when they recentered the grid in 2010. his teammate was michael schumacher, who was fresh out of retirement. (yes the michael schumacher, 7x world champion). michael fucked with nico endlessly according to legend, including making him piss in a bucket pre race because he would hog the bathroom until the last possible second. nico still out preformed him most of the time, and the car was mid as hell.
-michael retired part 2 at the end of 2012. and who replaced him but lewis hamilton
-so the two of them were teammates again. the cards were absolute Stacked against them. because yes they were besties yes they’d known eachother forever but the first person you’re judged against is your teammate. and you’re trying to beat your teammate. and lewis already had a championship. nico wanted a championship.
-2013 was relatively chill. the car was kinda mid. they did well but not fantastic and did some fuck ass pr (highly reccomend looking those videos up)
-2014 they had a car that could win. and they started fighting eachother for wins. they played all kinds of mind games against eachother and withheld stats and nico ran illegal engine modes (supposedly) and lewis said they were no longer friends after nico supposedly wrecked his monaco qualifying one year but they claimed they still supported eachother and were friends off track. lewis won in 2014 and in 2015. but nico was right behind him and he wanted to win a championship, he didn’t want to be a number 2 driver
-so in 2016 nico did some insane shit. he stopped sleeping with his wife so that he could get better sleep or something, he did weird things to cut weight, he basically did everything and then some to win. and then he did. he won the championship and then at the prize giving ceremony announced he was retiring. he didn’t tell lewis this.
more after i get off work :)

I had nice dreams last night, but it wasn't nice when Tiina called me and asked me what I had been doing during the weekend. I had to tell her three times that I wanted to continue sleeping, and hung up. I got up at half past noon, took my morning meds, and had coffee. I did a little housework. Elise showed up later, she paid her own share of using Netflix. We went to the pharmacy where I picked up my anti- depressants. I wish the doctor would prescribe me 5 mg anti- depressants so I didn't have to half the 10 mg anti- depressants. We went to the grocery store, and then we went to my home. In the evening, we went to the sauna. I washed my hair and applied conditioner, then I washed my armpits. I did the 12- step Korean skincare routine, or at least the first 3 steps of it. Once back home, I did the rest of the steps, and applied body lotion. I took my evening meds, and didn't bother with brushing my teeth. Tomorrow Elise and I will go visit a friend. On Wednesday, I will go to the parish to talk with a worker. I will also do the weekly housework; change the small towels, scrub the toilet bowl, and take out the recycling. On that day, I will receive money. I will pay for Disney Plus. On Thursday, I will go shopping with Elise and Emmi. In the evening, I will take a shower. On Friday, I will visit Elisa, she promised to bleach my hair roots. I will pay her 20 euros and bring my own bleaching material. As for the rest of the day, I will buy the treats and other stuff for the Easter party. On Saturday, I will do the weekly housework. I will go visit Mirette, we will go see an Easter bonfire together. On Sunday, I will hold an Easter party at my home.

"The Journey to a New Beginning: Our First Week in America"
It has been a week since our plane touched down on American soil, and the surrealism of this monumental journey has yet to wear off. What was once a distant dream is now a tangible reality. Here, we stand on the threshold of a brand-new chapter, ready to embrace the challenges and adventures that await.
Day 1 (Friday, August 18)
Our journey began with a visit to the Bank of America, where we attempted to open an account, only to discover that they did not accept euros. We were advised to return on Tuesday, and while it was a minor setback, it served as a reminder of the intricacies of navigating this new financial landscape. The day took a delightful turn as we ventured into a colossal Walmart for the very first time. The sheer size of the store overwhelmed us, offering everything one could possibly need. Ard, with his culinary expertise, made wise purchases, while I, like a child in a candy store, filled our cart with whatever caught my eye.
Day 2 (Saturday, August 19)
Our cousins, Manay Nieima's family, graced us with their presence and took us on an unforgettable tour of Austin, Texas. Kevin led us to a real Texas BBQ restaurant, Terry Black's, where he set a high bar for barbecue excellence. Their generosity extended beyond this memorable meal, as they showered us with thoughtful gifts, ranging from a rice cooker and kitchen essentials to bedroom items. Such gestures of kindness left us profoundly grateful.
Day 3 (Sunday, August 20)
Sunday saw us attending Mass online, yearning to find a nearby church to connect with our faith. Despite the scorching Texan heat, we ventured out for an evening neighborhood walk, only to retreat to the hotel after 15 minutes, a reminder of the weather's intensity.
Day 4 (Monday, August 21)
Car shopping became our focus, with visits to Nissan, Mazda, and Toyota. The Toyota Rav4 caught our eye initially, but the hefty 17% APR gave us pause. The Mazda CX5, while promising, left Ard with a feeling that something was amiss during the test drive. The Nissan Rogue beckoned with its tempting offer of no down payment and no interest for three years, yet Ard decided to explore further.
Day 5 (Tuesday, August 22)
Returning to the bank, we encountered another roadblock in our quest to deposit euros. Undeterred, we opened a joint bank account and were advised to return in two days.
Day 6 (Wednesday, August 23)
With Ard's discernment, we finally settled on the Nissan as our car of choice and paid a deposit to secure it. The prospect of driving it immediately was tantalizing, but our lack of Social Security Numbers (SSNs) meant only ten days of free leasing, followed by a daily charge of $39. To avoid unnecessary expenses, we decided to take possession of the car on September 1, when our SSNs would be in hand.
Day 7 (Thursday, August 24)
A triumphant day arrived as we deposited our euros into our bank account, marking a significant step forward in our journey. As our apartment was not yet ready, we checked into a nearby hotel. Our daily routine began to take shape - coffee in the morning, errands, cooking, a midday nap, a workout at the gym, dinner, studying, a refreshing bath, and restful sleep. This routine, though simple, provided a sense of stability amidst the whirlwind of change.
In just one week, we have experienced the ups and downs of transitioning to life in America. Each day brought new challenges, unexpected joys, and the realization that the dream we once held is now our remarkable reality. As we embark on this new chapter, we look forward to embracing the opportunities and adventures that lie ahead, all while cherishing the memories of our first week in this land of endless possibilities.

Thank you for sharing this!! Of course I am here, and I have Things to Add™ 😂
They are clearly setting up *other shippers* for the future here, which is to say that season 2 is not a set up for Carol and Daryl to have a romance that will progress. It's about Carol and Daryl and their long lasting, very epic friendship, them coming to terms with years of trauma together after a long and fraught separation, the terms of which we don't fully understand yet. All the set up for this can be found in "Consumed," "Find Me," and "Diverged" as well as "Indifference" and "The Grove" (others, too, but these are the main ones imho).
Speculation on what Emily was doing in France for some undisclosed period of time still stands here. She never advertised her con appearances on Insta OR Twitter, which is super unusual for her. She was also clearly there alone, not having posted a single picture of herself with her boyfriend or any friends. In fact, she never once told her followers why she was in Europe. Vacation? Work? She also kept most of her posts in stories, which are temporary. We don't know. Her presence at the cons was discovered by Bethyl fans organically who saw her on the schedule and reported it here, on tumblr.
We also don't know when she arrived in Europe, or when she left. We do know that she has been, up until this past week or so, very quiet on Instagram for the past several months, while simultaneously lamenting on twitter about being busy, going crazy, etc., and some of those tweets have since been deleted. Emily is not typically shy about self-promoting, so it's unusual for her to not even have mentioned to her fans she would be at the Euro-cons. It's also unusual for her to seemingly be extremely busy and yet to post nothing about what she's busy doing, not even a hint 🤔
One thing she did post was a reply to a comment asking her if she has any new acting projects on the horizon, with a #TWDfamily tag, to which Emily replied, "I hope!"
Tumblr media
It's also interesting to me that Emily only just recently started posting about being in LA again, and promoting her merchandise again, as in, over the past week or so. She was very quiet for much of the first part of this year and did not post much from LA at all. On May 27th, she tweeted about being "free" and "happy" two weeks after she posted that "the dream is still alive."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Free from what, I wonder? Is she done with whatever she was doing for literal months, including a mysterious trip to Paris, to do a con for a show she hasn't starred in for almost a decade?
Norman returned to Paris in late April for a motorcycle conference, a few weeks after Emily posted about being there. There's zero evidence that she overlapped with Norman, but the coincidence is a little glaring, given the other contextual clues here. Norman has also been vague on his whereabouts lately, though not as much as Emily. He has done a bunch of work in Japan, promoting Death Stranding 2, and he posted about it quite a lot.
The thing is, it's possible that, if Emily WAS filming in France, it might not be with Norman. If season 3 is setting us up to focus on *other* characters, we could speculate a parallel formatting, which is a discovery and turning the pages of yet another important "book" in Daryl's life, one of which has barely been cracked since 5.10, ie: "The Book of Beth." This could include flashbacks to Beth's story over the past ten years, and what happened to her. None of this would require Norman to be there.
Even if Beth *never* comes back (I believe she will, I'm just saying), we need the Book of Beth to truly understand Daryl and his heart. Much of the GA is obsessed with Daryl's reunion with Rick; however, the two of them have been on divergent paths since season 5. While a reunion would be great, it is possible it won't happen for many years. In a recent interview, which I can't source because I don't remember where it is (lol), Daryl mentioned that perhaps they would reunite as "old men." Further, Daryl's search for Rick in season 9-10 isn't literal. It's an extended and metaphorical search for all of those he's lost over the years, one of which has never been buried, never been found, the book never closed as we know it, and that's Beth.
People will continue to make the same one-dimensional arguments as to why Beth is dead, etc. But anyone who actually pays attention to Daryl's characterization knows that none of this is about Rick, or even Carol. Daryl's characterization changed irrevocably after "Coda," and none of his ensuing unhappiness has ever been solved, or answered. No catharsis has been reached yet for Daryl in terms of what happened to Beth and what it meant to him, or even fully what happened in the days/weeks after they left Grady. He's just hanging there, unfinished.
That was a really long way of saying, Beth is near 💫
Soo, this article just popped up! They mention S2 is also going to be 6 episodes, which I'm kinda sad about 🫠
And I found something kind of suspicious...
"The series has also been given an early renewal for Season 3, so there will be more to come by the end of The Book of Carol. Of course, it's important to remember that nobody is ever truly safe in the world of The Walking Dead, so Daryl and Carol are not guaranteed to return for Season 3, as another slight title change could easily shift the focus onto other characters."
We all know neither Daryl or Carol are going to die like come on! 😂 So why would the title shift focus onto other characters?! 🤔Literally can't think of anyone else, except for... ☝🏻
No idea if this is one of those websites that posts on behalf of AMC, but still...

A siesta, short and muy picante
She asked me why I hadn’t written about Barcelona. I did, I answered.
I wrote notes and scribbles and remembered tastes and smells of sweat.
But I had got busy,
getting knocked off a bike or drinking Perrier or the jumping the metro barriers.
I had spend evenings cold outside, and nights too hot in the cesspit of an inside smoking area.
Weeks ago, Paris was cold and dark when I left in the morning at 4.
And then mon avion landed dans Espagne.
In Barcelona it was humid and grey.  Here I felt hot and wet and heavy as I walked in the big roads in straight lines that map this city. Gothic and sleepy, at 9am Barcelona had not yet wiped the crusts from its eyes.
Past the Gaudi, with its insect like spines and still breathing fresh was beautiful and made me feel sick.   I remember the restaurant where 4 years ago, my family sat on the perfect set for an argument.  There was tiredness, heat, sweat and hunger, little spats teeming towards tension - add in a boyfriend to witness the Hudson downfall.  This was the 5th menu we had looked at.  I feared we would walk forever.  Paella and tapas bla, bla.  An obvious tourist trap.  And then the waiter did something maybe wrong or maybe not, I think that Phil then slapped him… Seeking justice for late sangria and steak.  I smiled as I remembered a chair flying.
But now I was alone here, trying to find people I had left.  My English knights had become Hidalgo. On two hours sleep  in a cafe I shared a freshly painted round green table outside, with two others who were either reading or like me pretending to read while really watching.  With my espresso I tapped away perfectly content to be mistaken for somebody important or cultured.  I wanted to buy some cigarettes.  Finding my nearest tabac I confidently demanded un pac des vogues sil’vous’plait, commanding my self on my pronunciation.  The issue was it I was in the wrong country. Muy Bien.   Cigarettes are only 5 euros but I miss my vogues.
They speak Catalan and Spanish, and a mix of both. Language is always political, especially in a place with a choice of two.  It can be whispered between lovers, or sung rolling its r’s by the lonely and heartbroken.  It can be learnt and changed and it can mean more than just its words.
Back in the cafe a pair has joined my table (I have established ownership having now sat here the longest.

And they were here and they were beautiful and taking me to tapas.
Salty and sweet, sardines, olives cheeses and anchovies on little slices of bread  served on little slabs and there I was sipping cold sweet red vermouth. Red wine is Vino Tinto.  Here they don’t drink top water, and the bartender knows no English, but the slabs keep coming, vehicles for brine.
At the supermarket or mercado the Spanish mock the French, brandishing a XXL croissants.  We buy booze and food and I chop everything up all nice and small and anxious while my Spanish compadresitas siesta.
Barcelona is a slow way of life, no jobs, a gothic siesta city. Muy picante. Clubs are big, but in the one queer room I finally find my place at the front of the crowd. I understand when my ears hurt, and the smoking area is a sloped. A hungover walk where you pay for good times and pass  thin iced buildings and men on hoverboards and you get crisps with beer and can’t get a table for just drinks.  You watch the crows and boys playing football and sit on a bench with B.
2 days of siesta in Spain and I said my adios and I landed back in Paris. My empty backpack now laden with too many books that cost too much, I had had a bought of excessively buying Didoin .
It was grey it was cold and I walked from les Halles, past fruit stalls and rotissery chickens and fish vendors and everything was too expensive, and everyone spoke French, and queued outside boulangerie for their baguette.
It was Sunday and I saw some shit on the street.  I knew was in Paris.

Was Sunday the day the Golden Generation’s dreams went up, much like their sleeves, in flames?
An insipid Belgian performance leaves them scrambling to secure their place in the knockout stages, but it wasn’t the most talked about moment of the day, on a day full of shocks and surprises.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We started with a Sunday morning shock as Costa Rica bounced back from their thumping to beat Japan by a goal to nil. Sadly, we had as much confidence in Costa Rica as everyone else did, so our bets all got us off to a losing start - Neil in particular was disappointed to find out that his insurance bet wasn’t at all what he’d hoped it was...
Onto that Belgium v Morocco game now and the phrase ‘a tournament too far’ has been used a few times in this World Cup already - but it definitely applies to Roberto Martinez’s side. Out of ideas, no pace with Kevin de Bruyne off the boil, they were deservedly beaten by Morocco. The 2-0 win gave Alex a victory, but not, perhaps, in the way he was expecting.
When the bets were placed before kick-off, Alex announced that Tom had gone mad with his 5/1 effort on Croatia. But it *seemed* as if it could happen? The glut of goals ruled Neil out early in the second half, but the Croatian corner count slowly reached the threshold. Needing a booking to take the win - the biggest of the tournament so far - Tom hovered over the cash out option for £3.12, which itself would have been the biggest return. Then a Canadian lad overreacted to nothing and pushed someone and Tom over-celebrated at a child’s birthday party and was too ashamed to tell anyone how little he’d won. The Croatian victory also gave Alex his second return of the day too.
Onto Spain v Germany, and a 1-1 draw was the perfect result for Alex and Neil to get some precious funds back for the day. A late wayward Spanish header meant a much needed fourth German corner and a second win for Tom. A day of high drama and it shows in the latest standings.
Alex: £10.70 DOWN Neil: £2.60 DOWN Tom: £1.06 DOWN
A day of profit for Alex, who brought 36p back on top of his stake, while Tom’s return of £8 is record-breaking for 2022. The individual and daily returns are the highest since a dull Friday night on day eight of Euro 2022 when Neil won £6.50 on one match and £9.33 overall.
After today’s fixtures, we’ll be at the halfway mark for the tournament, 32 games played. Here’s what we’re after for day nine.
Alex:
Cameroon v Serbia, both teams to score - 1/1 South Korea v Ghana, Heung-Min Son to have at least one shot on target - 4/11 Brazil v Switzerland, over 1.5 goals in the match - 2/7 Portugal v Uruguay, a red card in the match - 10/3
Neil:
Cameroon v Serbia, under 3.5 goals - 1/4 South Korea v Ghana, South Korea to win and Heung-Min Son to have 1+ shots on target - 15/8 Brazil v Switzerland, Brazil to win - 4/9 Portugal v Uruguay, Portugal to win and Ronaldo 1+ shots on target - 6/5
Tom:
Cameroon v Serbia, Serbia to win or be two up in the game - 8/11 South Korea v Ghana, South Korea to score 1+ goals and 4+ South Korea corners - 10/11 Brazil v Switzerland, over 1.5 goals in game, each team 3+ corners and 30+ booking points in game - 5/4 Portugal v Uruguay, Portugal to win and Ronaldo 2+ shots on target - 5/2

grand slam
Tumblr media
prompt: claudia pina surprises you at your wimbledon final after making you think she wouldn’t be able to make it due to playing in the euros
word count: 2.3k
a/n: i'm no tennis expert by any means so if any details are wrong i'm sorry. also i'm not extremely happy with the way this turned out but i hope you guys enjoy it anyway
-
“Congratulations (Y/N), you are through to the final of Wimbledon in your first ever Grand Slam appearance” the interviewer states and the crowd breaks into applause.
“I am extremely happy and very shocked. This is just the start of an incredible journey for me. I am honoured to have even been a wildcard in this tournament let alone being able to make it this far, it is a dream come true” you look out at the crowd, basking in the energy and finding your family and coach, the view of them together making you smile even more.
“So the match went on for a while and you were down for the entire first half of it. When you were down 5 - 2 in the second set did you even think you had a chance coming back at all let alone being able to win?” the interviewer asks.
“I first want to give appreciation to Ons Jabeur, she played an incredible game today and myself and probably everyone else was likely under the assumption that she would win. Especially when I was down in the second set but being able to come back in that set through a little bit of luck and a lot of determination gave me the mental push that I needed to be able to fight to the end and thankfully it was enough for me today” you answer the question, still a little surprised that you were even able to bring this game back to win and especially against the current world number 3.
“It is yet to be decided but you will either play Elena Rybakina or Simona Halep in the final, is there a match up that you would prefer?” the interviewer questions.
“Both are incredible players, ones that I love to watch and I am very aware that either would be tough to beat in the final. I am just excited to even be here, it didn’t even seem like a possibility a few years ago so I am just taking in every moment and I will appreciate whichever match-up is served to me” you joke, rather proud of yourself with the pun you just made.
“You mentioned that this didn’t even seem like a possibility a few years ago and that is very interesting. So we know you played football professionally up until a few years ago and could have potentially been preparing to play in the Euro’s right now. Spain plays their opening match tomorrow, is there anything you want to say about that?” the mention of football brings a smile to your face, your mind immediately filled with thoughts of your girlfriend Claudia.
“So I only really started training tennis professionally during lockdown a few years ago, before that I really did think the rest of my career would be spent playing football. I am excited to be here though and this is a dream come true. But I am also so excited for my girlfriend and friends on the national team and I can not wait to be able to attend the rest of the group stage matches to support them” you speak happily, always excited at the mention of Claudia and also football.
“Congratulations (Y/N) (Y/L/N) again for making it to your first Grand Slam final, good luck to you. Any last words?”
“Thank you so much, I’d like to say my own good luck to Claudia and the rest of the Spanish football team for their game against Finland tomorrow” you state, making the Spaniards in the crowd go wild, which causes both yourself and the interviewer to laugh at the reaction.
“You are through to the final” Clàudia screams down the phone, her excitement making you giggle.
“So you were able to watch?” you ask with a large smile.
You knew that it would be hard for Claudia to watch your games at this point as Spain’s opening game for the Euro’s is tomorrow. You wanted to be there and you would have been if you hadn’t made it as far at Wimbledon, but you are going to the rest of the games in the group stage and you are more than ready to play the part of the proud girlfriend at Claudia’s first major tournament.
“I made the rest of the team watch too, some of the girls didn’t think you could come back but I knew you could” Claudia informs you the tone of her voice is one of pride, although that quickly changes through to her next sentence. “I’m so sorry that I won't be able to be there to see you play, I can’t believe I’m missing your first major tournament final” she states sadly.
“Pina baby” you speak softly, hoping to stop her thoughts as they race through her mind.
“(Y/L/N) baby” she replies just as softly, the sadness still evident in her voice.
“This is your first major tournament as well, we are both doing what we love. Even if we can’t be there to support each other in person, I feel your support every time I step out onto the court and i hope you feel mine every time you step onto the pitch”
“But you are going to come and support me after your match and I won’t have been there to support you at all” Claudia explains, still not being able to get over the fact that she won't be there for you at your first ever Grand Slam final.
“Okay and? I hope that there will be many more tournaments that I plan in and I know that you will be there when you can. It’s all part of our lives Pina, and I will love you whether you come to all of my games or none of them” you answer again, hoping to get through to her.
“Well I will always try to come to as many games as possible but when I can’t I will always set up a watch party to cheer you on” Claudia states, the sentiment causing a flutter to run through your chest knowing just how much she really does support you.
“Thank you Pina. I have to go and I assume you probably do as well but I will be cheering you on tomorrow even though I can’t be there”
“I won’t be playing tomorrow, you know how Jorge is” Claudia sighs.
“You better be playing or I will be having stern words when I see him” you and Claudia both laugh at your statement.
“I’m sure he will be terrified of a 19 year old girl” Claudia’s comment causes you both to laugh even more.
“He better be. I love you baby, bye”
“I love you too” You hold Claudia’s words in your mind long after the phone call ends.
Even though you have been working so hard to assure Claudia that it is okay that she can’t be at your game, because it is, it does still hurt you that your biggest supporter can’t be there to see you in the biggest moment of your career thus far.
You try to cast your mind away from the disappointment and instead settle in to watch another of the Euro’s games, sizing up your friends and girlfriend’s potential quarter final rivals. You are happy enough to be distracted by some football for the evening.
-
You scream in shock, falling to the ground as Elena Rybakina misses your shot, crowning you the winner of the 2022 Wimbledon Grand Slam.
All throughout the award ceremony you beam with joy, still not fully believing that you had actually won your first ever major tennis tournament.
“This must be a dream come true, how are you feeling?” the interviewer asks almost immediately after you are handed the trophy.
“More than anything I am so overjoyed, still very shocked but mainly just so happy. Shoutout to Elena for being an incredible opponent, it was a tough game from start to finish but I didn’t expect anything less. I’d also like to thank my coach who has worked tirelessly with me to be able to make this happen, I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without her. Also my mum and sister who are amazing supporters, showing up to every game and training throughout my entire life, whether it had been for tennis, football or any other sport I played, they were always there to watch and cheer me on and I am so glad I have been able to repay them for everything they have done by means of winning this tournament. Lastly I’d like to thank Claudia, even though she was unable to be here today I know she was supporting me from afar just as I was supporting her the same way yesterday. This is for all of them, and all of you as well, vamos Espana!” you raise your trophy at the end of your miniature speech, the crowd loudly cheering as you do, causing tears to well in your eyes at the amount of support you are receiving.
“You played well, you came out with something to prove in that first set and it came away from you in the second but what did you say to yourself coming into the third set?” the interviewer asks.
“I really put my all into that first set, it felt incredible to be up from the beginning and that got to my head a little bit. It distracted me during the second which brought me back to reality and allowed me to find the balance and just play my best in the third set. I’m just lucky that my best happened to be enough today. It all comes down to the team I have around me though, even just being able to look over to them really brought me back to reality and reminded me of the reason that I am doing this, which is nothing to do with ego and everything to do with dreams I’ve had since I was a little girl of being able to conquer anything I set my mind to” you state, the smile not leaving your face as you think of your younger self and how she would feel having been able to achieve something so great.
“Speaking of your team, there is one member who you speak of often and fondly who isn’t able to be here today” the interviewer states, obviously making a mention of Claudia.
“Yeah like I said my incredible girlfriend Claudia isn’t able to be here as she is performing in the Euro’s, but I know she wished to be here and I felt her with me out on the court today, as I do with every game I play. I just hope she is as proud of me as I was of her when I was screaming at the TV in the gym when she entered the game and every time she touched the ball” you laugh, causing the crowd to laugh too, most of them probably not understanding that you are in no way at all exaggerating.
“Well I’d like to congratulate you on the win, but if you check your team box I think there is someone there who would like to offer you an even better congratulations” the interviewer states, pointing behind you to where your team are sitting, clearly having something set up.
You turn around, looking at your team box, your coach, mother and sister who were there the entire game standing proudly. Although new faces have joined the three of them as Claudia and a few other Spanish national team members stand smiling proudly.
Once yours and Claudia's eyes meet the tears that had welled in your eyes freely fall as you as courteously as possible run towards the stand, not being able to wait another second to be with your girlfriend.
“You are here?” you ask, holding her face in your hands, not actually believing that she is physically here. “Is this real?”
“Very real baby. Congratulations on your first Grand Slam win, you didn’t seriously think I would miss it did you?” Claudia asks in return, the smile not leaving either of your faces as you stay staring into her eyes, any sense of anything else completely disappearing as all that matters in this moment is you and her.
“Thank you” you finally get out, not sure how to express your gratitude that she is here to support you or your relief that she didn’t actually miss this moment.
“Of course (Y/L/N). I would love to stay like this forever but you did just win Wimbledon so I assume you have some other things that you are supposed to be doing right now” Claudia states, knowing that you have an insane amount of media duty to attend to.
“Can I kiss you Pina?” the asking is customary as you lean in anyway, capturing her lips in a sweet yet passionate kiss as this is the first time the two of you have been able to physically interact since you left for the beginning of the tournament a few weeks prior.
“Congratulations again mi amor” Claudia states, pushing you away slightly so you will actually leave to do what is required of you.
“Do we even get a hello (Y/L/N)” Patri calls out, herself, Aitana and Ona stand behind Claudia waiting for you to notice them.
“Hello! Thank you for coming, I spent too long kissing Pina, I will make it up to you later” you call as you are walked away by a security personnel, causing the Spanish footballers to just laugh at you as you leave.
