ah .. there you go again.. not too far this time though! you saw a snack stand not too far away and slipped right from his side.

"hm.." you examined the vast variety of self serve snacks and candies in front of you.

as you began scooping and using the little tonsil to pick your candies the (guessing) owner began small talk. and oh, you just wanting to be oh so friendly, you complied and replied.

"so.. see some stuff you like?" he chuckles, sucking on a toothpick he had sticking out of his mouth

"mhm!" you giggle, adding more things

"gon' on and fill it up sweetheart" he encouraged, waving his hand out to let you know it was okay

you nod, looking around at the other options, picking up a few pieces of cotton candy and some gummy eggs.

"do you have any popcorn or chips? I thought I saw some when i came over here" you give a warm smile, as you picked and put some sour belts into your bag.

"oh yeah, yeah hold on.." he turns around and bends over a bit to pull out a popcorn machine. "I'll make some popcorn for you doll.. only for one thing.." he said, plugging in the machine.

"hm? I'll do it!" you giggled, stopping to look up.

"I just want oneeee.. little kiss right here" he pat the middle of his cheek with the bed of his index finger.

"oh umm.. hold on, I'll go see if my husband will let me!" i place the bag down on his stand, turning around quickly to go grab Teddy.

"yes! just please, stay right there!" you happily walk over to teddy

what is spatort?

lmao how do I explain 😭

So there is this German crime TV show called Tatort (engl. crime scene) which is on TV every Sunday night. There are different casts for different cities in Germany, like Tatort Berlin for example. Every 90min episode starts with a crime/ murder which is solved by the end.

Now this show is usually very much not watched by younger people and is what you could call a boomer show ig. It is produced by German public broadcasting and thus doesn’t have the biggest budget and is not that well-produced lol.

Anyway, Spatort is the fan term for Tatort Saarbrücken - a Tatort that only has one episode per year and got a new cast a few years ago with four pretty young detectives. The past friendship between the two male leads was a very important part of the first episode and people started reading more into it and shipping them. By now people also ship the two female leads which is very funny bc Tatort and German public broadcasting are known for very heteronormative and not diverse television and some of the boomers that watch it would probs get a heart attack if they knew what people online think about Spatort haha.

So basically, now there is a huge fandom online for a boomer TV show and all we do is make queer headcanons about everything we see haha. The fandom is mainly active on Tumblr and every year when the new episode comes out it starts trending on here :)

(Also at some point the actors really leaned into the whole gay narrative and people had a lot of hope for a queer couple on a boomer TV show!! There were bloopers from the show where the male leads kissed and stuff, but ultimately nothing explicitly gay ever happened in the show. It’s also important to know that this is the most extreme slow burn ever since there is only one episode per year which is only 90 minutes long and most of it is just about solving a crime and not about character development…)

Set in 2013 during the GP, Jennifer is fresh out of uni and has made a name for herself within the F1 world. She joins Redbull-Renault as one of their engineer designers and easily fits into the team, forming friendships easily. Most of all, she captures the attention of three time world champion, Sebastian Vettel. Australia, March 2013…

“And here… right through here is… our youngest, and my personal favourite design engineer. This is where all the magic happens.” The sound of Sebastian’s German accent caused my lips to lift as I took my head set off, spinning around in my chair. Sebastian was walking alongside a camera man, touring around the garages. It was pre practice day, only two more days and the 2013 GP would begin. Although I’d been hired for Red Bull back in October of last year, it had taken 5 months to get to this point of merciless training and shadowing to ensure I was good at what I was doing. The Red Bull driver made his way over, resting on the back of my large chair with an amused smile. “Hi.” I nervously giggled, pushing my hair behind my ear as my headset fell around my neck. “This is Jennifer, do you want to tell them what you’re doing today, Jennifer?” The use of my full, formal name was sending me slightly giggly as I gazed up to the blonde man. Maybe it was just him making me feel that way…

“Um… so, to put it in simple terms so it’s not so boring, we’re just checking all the components of the RB9’s- what Sebastian and Mark will be driving- to make sure we don’t need to make any last minute changes.” “And what’s your name again?” The camera man asked. “Jen, I never go by Jennifer.” I laughed, glancing back up to Sebastian again. Whenever our eyes met I found myself struggling to keep composure on camera. “Tell then a bit about yourself.” He then nudged me on, grinning down. He could tell I was getting flustered, but continued purposefully. “Nobody wants to know about me!” I laughed, attempting to spin my chair back around in embarrassment. Hiding behind my computer for the first two weeks was my safe haven, that’s what I’d reverted back to. “They do!! Tell us, how did you get into your position?!” Seb spun the chair back, sliding a hand down onto my very ticklish shoulder, squeezing as both my shoulders jumped up with a giggle.

“Sorry.” Seb breathlessly laughed. “Um- well I started here in October, I just finished my masters last year at Manchester in Motorsport Engineering- um… Im 22- I don’t really have anything else very interesting to say! Uh- I suppose I had- just had experience from working part time with my brother who’s an engineer when I was like… 15.” I explained.

“Clever girl.” Seb responded as I automatically gulped in response, looking up to him and awkwardly glimpsing back to the camera. I didn’t know how to act with that in my face. “And what’s this?” The camera zoomed closer in on my second screen, it was just information about F1’s plan to go electric next year and use Hybrid engines, but it contained private information. My hand flew up blocking the screen dramatically, “oh! Sorry, that’s a secret!” Seb burst out laughing. “Oh no!” I laughed, “don’t worry I’ll cut that.” Luckily the camera man turned away as I sunk back into my chair. I really hoped I didn’t leak some super, confidential information about Red Bull or I’d be facing the sack a mere half year into employment.

Sebastian flashed me another smile and squeeze on the shoulder before following the camera man and showing him around some more. When they left I let out an internal sigh. I’d known Seb for the same amount as everybody else here, but I just felt this immediate warmth to him. Once the intimidation had worn off (even now I still felt it) I could tell there was an instant attraction. At points it felt mutual, Seb would openly flirt with me, tease me, I know he was a charmer, but I couldn’t tell if I was being delusional or not. He was cuddly, funny, he always looked so deeply into my eyes whenever I explained something to him. I wasn’t sure how I’d deal with the feelings that would keep me on edge for a full season. The worst thing about it??? I had a boyfriend.

Ohh thanks for the Ask!! That's a topic I could rant about forever. 😂 But I'm not good at putting my thoughts into words, beware.

My backstory for him changes each time I write for him honestly, but I love @tex-treasure-chamber 's take on it:

We already know Iscariot uses children in their orphanages as warriors for their cause - but Anderson, due to being inherently capable to begin with, was part of a special program to create some kind of "super soldier".

I think no one really knows where he comes from, he was just found in front of the doorstep of a Scottish orphanage at some point.

He's already been gradually fucked up during his formative years (whether by his birth family or the orphanage workers I leave open to interpretation), and the training he had to endure just gave him the rest tbh. It only further fed his fanatic delusions and strenghtened his bloodlust and erratic temper.

Becoming Iscariot's strongest involves a lot of mental conditioning, slowly striping away his humanity that stands in the way of becoming an unfeeling and unquestioning tool of god. They also needed him to build up a high pain tolerance, so they tortured him in barbaric ways, claiming the suffering brings him closer to Jesus Christ.

In the end they didn't manage to break his mind completely, we see it in his way of defying superiors and especially how fond he's of the orphans in his care - but they certainly succeeded turning him into a highly efficient and dangerous fanatic.

It's those two completely different worlds (caregiver vs. hunter) inside of him that's tearing him apart. He failed to become a weapon completely but he can also never be fully human again, at his core he's a twisted individual unable to find peace with his existence.

Which is why I hate love the scene where he (indirectly) kills Maxwell - in which he still saw a child he once raised - because that's the moment those two worlds clash. And not shortly after he decides to cast aside those burdening remains of his humanity use the nail of helena to become a true monster of god.

In the German translation he says "I would've prefered being born as a storm, a threat, or an explosive. I'd rather been born a fierce thunderstorm...without consideration, without remorse, without tears."

Anderson isn't supposed to feel, to care, let alone love - and yet he does...so much it's tearing him apart.

A few other police officers were stationed around to look for the girl, soon you and your team find the deck they were playing at

The duel conveniently ends just as you all walk up to the deck, your coworkers whisper as some TO's even contribute. The guy holding the girl hostage had this crazy look on his face, his hair was spiky and white

The girl seemed taller than the guy, having brown short hair in a Bob like cut. The guy, who everyone was screaming/calling him marik, was telling the shorter boy to hand over a.. Puzzle. How absurd can this get? It's just a puzzle, no need to crash out

Your right hand reaches for the gun, your hand ghosting it as you slowly walk closer to him

The guy walks back a bit with the girl still in a chokehold

"One step further and I'll cut her vocal cords out!" He threatened, the bystanders, concluding of a Kaiba brother, a blonde haired guy, another tall guy with brown hair and a shit haircut (Tristan you're cool and all but that cut is horrendous)

Your co workers held up their gun, ready for anything that may happen

"You'd get arrested anyway, you've got up to 4 bystanders, a whole team of cops, but you only have one knife and a scrawny build that couldn't hurt a fly"

He thinks for a moment, looking shocked at your little jab

The girl looked at you with a mix of fear and a pleading face not to anger him, some bystanders looked in awe of you and some more surprised

"Even if you do kill her, you're cornered. You could jump into the ocean behind you but you would have to come back sooner or later where we will arrest you" he looks around in anger, the annoying woman was right, the amount of cops and bystanders at the scene were too many to handle

Marik let's the girl go, she almost falls to her knees in relief and shock. You quickly grab the girl and bring her to the car, needing to question her. Tea, as everyone called her, was swarmed by her friends who ask her many "are you okay?" And "did he hurt you?" You look back at marik getting arrested.

You look in a pocket and face the group, handing them each a card with your number and name on it, you could tell the girl was shaken and would be scared alone, or maybe another conflict happens because of this game. It was better to be safe then sorry

They all grab the card, yugi and tea hug you, thanking you a bunch for what you did

He'd definitely take you out to a dinner and only answer any questions about the letter after the date

You invited her over to your small hovel for a cup of coffee and some desserts. It's been ages since you last spoke to her, as she's moved off the isles to pursue her dream job. And while she's sweeter than peaches normally, a part of you feared she'd react this way.

Still, she remains polite and refrains from making any comment. She takes a cautious sip from her mug, all the while shifting her gaze from you to the mouse hole in the wall.

"H-how... How long have the two of you been dating now, dear? What was his name again?" she asks, now fixedly staring at the hole in the wall.

"Oh!" you grin. "We've just started dating not too long ago actually! Maybe around two months now? It just sort of happened, ya know? It took some getting used to, but Werner's a total sweetheart once he warms up to you!"

"Werner? Is he German?" she looks back to you, brow raised.

"Technically, yes! Buuut," you lean towards her, voice taking on a conspiratorial whisper. "I'm pretty sure he hams up the accent. I've heard him drop it a couple of times. It's actually funny-"

Both you and your friend whip your heads towards the wall-- to Werner's little mouse hole. You're both met with the sight of a disgruntled Werner, overalls marred with oil stains and helmet askew. His gaze drifts over to your guest, and he grows sheepish.

He's completely forgotten that you were inviting someone into the house, and Werner suddenly feels all too aware of his disheveled appearance. The rat shakes his head, turning back to you as he fights to ignore the stranger's stare burning into his side.

"Have you seen the can opener? I thought I had left it at my station the other night-"

"Oh, yes! Sorry, I had to borrow it for a minute! Let me just..."

You rise from your chair, easily reaching the kitchen in a few strides to grab the said tool from the dish rack. Without a second thought, you made your to your boyfriend's little hidey-hole and carefully placed it in his outstretched hands.

"Danke schön," he nods to you before skittering back inside, the sounds of muffled metal scrapes shortly following in his wake.

All you can do is quietly smile and mentally coo at how small he is before you settle back into place at the table. Blissfully unaware of your friend's incredulous stare you grab your coffee cup and look back to her, smile still in place.

First of:

In some German f1 news outlet george is called the „oracle“ bcs he always gets stuff like that right 😂

Second: where did George’s pace in the middle go… like the end was great again but the middle was maybe to conservative… idk tbh

And also what was that strategy… two laps later and george wouldn’t have been stuck in traffic and could have passed Charles (sorry Charles but I love george more 😭)

But the fact that we are a a bit disappointed over a p5 (the streak lives on btw) is very telling about what could have been this weekend… and all because of one mistake in quali 😭 and also the fact that george said the start could have been better tells us he did everything he could at that point 😭

George's pace in the middle was kinda underwhelming, probably he was saving a bit since he got pitted too early and maybe they feared that he would lose in the end. In the end, he had nothing to lose anymore, so I think he pushed, also due to Kimi having a very favourable strategy and thus getting closer.

Strategy was... simply not there. Totally useless pitting him into the traffic when he was doing decent things and he did not gain anything on Charles. Would have been a massive massive disaster if a safety car came out or if the rain came. Luckily nothing, so damage limitation.

You are right tho, that's our best result in a race where we usually suck (+ we bagged some points) so we can live with it and move to, I hope, better things. The damage was done yesterday with the cold tyres, probably another 3rd place was possible, 4th definitely.

Languages/Background

I was also waiting for this kind of question because I thought about it-- a lot, way too much, in fact lmao. I won't go too in depth about each of their backgrounds, especially since some of it is heavily intertwined with their stories, but I'm happy to indulge the basics!

So down the entire cast, we got:

Percy - Japanese (1st Gen); he's fluent in Japanese and it is his first language but he definitely uses English the most nowadays. He only ever speaks his native tongue when he's at home. He also knows a bit of Hawaiian Pidgin. It's what he picked up from Elio when they came to know each other in high school.

Elio - Hawaiian (Dad)/Thai (Mom); English is his first language but his family makes sure to teach him Hawaiian, Hawaiian Pidgin, and Thai. He's conversational with the first two, especially since that's how his grandparents on his dad's side would choose to communicate with. However, since he doesn't get to visit his relatives in Thailand often, Thai is definitely the less practiced of the bunch. At this point, he can somewhat hold a conversation but it's more like-- he understands the language better than he can speak it.

Jamie - Swedish; Swedish is his first language but he is the biggest polyglot on the team, and I mean big. He's fluent in English and most, if not all, European languages (German, French, Italian- you name it, he can probably speak it). Korean is something he recently picked up, though- just so he won't have to wait for translations for the manhwas he likes lol. Learning languages is easy to him and if he's motivated enough he could be conversational in a couple of months.

Deja - Haitian; English is her first language but she's conversational in Haitian Creole. She only speaks it if she's with family, especially her oldest and more distant relatives, or when exasperated. Deja isn't really in the business of flexing her second tongue since it's not something people immediately close to her use a lot.

Cameron - Nicaraguan (2nd Gen); English is also their first language but they dip into Spanish with their family, especially their grandparents. In the KF world, I believe you wouldn't catch this unless you're fluent in Spanish, but Cameron would speak with Nicaraguan phonology so some of their pronunciations might be weighted with 's' sounds.

Reynah - Filipina (1st Gen); English is her second language with Tagalog as her first. However, after being in the states for so long she's not as fluent in it. It's the same case as Elio and most children who migrate at a young age- Reynah understands better than she can speak. That being said, her accent surprisingly lingers. You hear it when she's angry or speaking fast, and you hear it at the end of her sentences or at a break- that short 'ah' sound Filipinos speak with.

And that's all of them! Though it's probably too redundant for me to note, everyone doesn't have an accent except for Reynah and Jamie. Jamie keeps his Swedish accent even though he's fluent because it's too much effort to use an American accent lol

Hobbies (Deja and Cam)

Aha yeah, gotta sneak in anime references when I can and I'm glad you like Cameron too! They're very endearing to me ^^ But okay bestie hobbies! Def gotta know this since MC's best friends with them. So to start--

Deja

Deja's got a handful of hobbies. Does she have time for all of them? No, but she's got them! And they're mostly to help her unwind. For games, she tends to like the ones that relies on strategies and skill. Platformers are her go-to's as well as party games. She's not competitive in the way Elio is but she'd be damned if anyone took her spot at the top of the leaderboard.

Besides video games, she likes to tend to plants and players can see that their shared apartment is littered with them. If she miraculously got more free time, then she'll pick up a knitting/crocheting project.

However, her favorite thing to do in her pastime are her nails! At the apartment, her and MC would indulge in movie nights/marathons so that she could paint and dry her nails during the duration of the showing. The last thing you'd catch her with is a broken or chipped edge.

Cam

As you peeped, Cameron watches anime! They only watch though- they like the action compared to reading. They've been on the grind for a while so you can consider them a veteran haha. Their favorite genres to watch are Slice of Life's, Sports, Shoujos, and Dramas and Thrillers. I know, I know, that's sort of weird jump from their other favorites lol but they like being swept up into the story line like Percy. So if they start crying about a fictional relationship or jumping on the couch because of a murder mystery- then it's safe to say they're enjoying the show.

Other than that, Cameron really likes art! In fact, it could've very well had been something they majored in! They're that good. But alas, they decided on a pre-law track so painting and drawing remains as a past time.

And of course, who can forget music. They only play one instrument and it's not often, but they love listening to it- especially Kpop. If you look through their car, you might find a photo card or two tucked away somewhere. That, and their albums lying next to their seat. Past Relationships

Oh, first love is a good guess! But out of the entire cast, half of them have been in a serious relationship before and that is Percy, Deja, and Reynah. Everyone else either had crushes or went on a couple of dates but never went official with anyone.

I won't go into the specifics for either Percy or Reynah, but since Deja's your roommate and best friend-- conversations about her love life would have cropped up before the start of the game. So at the very least I can say that she's dated a couple of guys during her high school and freshmen college year.

She broke up with all of them pretty quick though haha I wouldn't say she was wasting her time with them- she doesn't date for the sake of it like some might. So every relationship could've been something- but she's got zero tolerance for cheaters or massive fuck ups so they ended up being nothing. C'est la vie

- Solid game with many flaws.

- If you already are a DA fan it's worth playing

- If you want to get into the series don't start here unless you really want to for a specific reason

Not entirely spoiler free:

Liked the game overall. Also no game has annoyed me this much in years.

Here's some good stuff:

- Beautiful, gorgeous environments.

- Overall cool and likeable cast with mostly interesting companion quests and fun character interactions.

- High quality german localization and VA (didn't try english)

- Appreciate the inclusion of gender neutral pronouns which is even less a given than it is in english since as of now there is no officially recognized equivalent for they/them in this language

- Loved the little things. Returning voice actors. Punching Solas in the face. Dorian Pavus.

- Great sound design during the Weisshaupt quest. Felt very immersive.

- Rivain exploration Tangled Depths moment. When you look at your destination 5 meters above your head and go HUH?

Stuff I hated that's extremely subjective:

Combat. Least fun combat I've experienced in any game ever. Every battle is a pvp match against 10 longbow bear rangers that spam point blank shot with no cooldown. Spending 98% of the battle dodging isn't fun

- Why is there a parry build in the skill tree when half of the enemies have huge hammers you cant parry (skill issue?)

- Party members being invulnerable pets that do nothing but use 1 out of 3 skills off cooldown is bullshit

Soundtrack. Ok no listen I didn't spend the last two months agonizing over this to give you the abridged version now. [takes a deep breath] Here we go again.

"I'm not angry with you, I'm just very disappointed." [Heavy Silence]

Seriously what the fuck was that. The biggest nothingburger that ever nothinged. Or burgered. Like cool they got Hans Zimmer or whatever but if they only had the budget to pay for 2 songs and 3 chords then maybe... don't?

Half of the game is dead silence interrupted by the same 3 notes. Once in a while you dare hope that a song starts playing only for it to fade out within a few seconds. Even many of the battles (including story battles) are fought in silence. And like. Don't get me wrong here. Silence can be good if utilized effectively. I like a good ambient soundtrack. Inquisition had great ambience (mage quest or winter palace bgm anyone?). Super Metroid has great ambience. Hell my favourite gw2 map has insect chittering for music. But this game. They really went "Go girl give us nothing!" with full conviction.

The little music that is there is largely generically inoffensive but also extremely repetitive. And despite all the repetition it's still forgettable as hell. Dictionary definition of an orchestral slop soundtrack. And also the dictionary definition of disappointment. Good god.

Ok moving on with the abridged review. The following points are things that sort of bugged me and I could imagine that other people feel similarly.

- I mean the main story with those saturday morning cartoon villains speaking in stock villain lines was silly but that's just kinda bioware storywriting so all as expected. We're here for interpersonal relationships and side stories anyway.

- So I said I liked the cast. They're too likable. Too safe. Too sanitized. Has everyone forgotten how to be an asshole?

- It's almost impossible to have companions disagree with your decisions. Where are the contrarians? Who do I throw fists with? Why is everyone licking main character boots? I know we've all* hated on Solas for years but that doesn't mean we can't have dicks in the party anymore? We're not babies?? *not you

- Also why does main character get to do life altering decisions for everyone 😭 Bruh none of your business... In some cases it made sense, but some of these... (Taash...??)

- Taash's questline sucked we all agree on this right

- That extremely unsubtle choice pop up whenever a decision you made had an influence on something. Like bruh ok you don't have to tell me about every little choice branch, where's the surprises man

- Companion quests being a mandatory gameplay element isn't the worst of these things but I did prefer when they were entirely optional so it was your bad when you missed out on relationships etc. Plus the gameplay loop created by this in da4 was very tedious after a while

- I don't like how the main character was kinda predetermined as a sassy jokester no matter which dialogue choices you pick but you get used to it

- The also extremely unsubtle faction meter that practically screams "if you don't fill the meter it will have consequences during the final battle". Again where's the surprises?

In general the game felt too predictable and too sanitized to be the least amount of inconvenient as possible.

And that's all I can think of right now.

OMG. i have a few prompts that have come in that have since marinated in my brain and will be focused on a portion of areas of the transition from the camps to the forced march and let's just say i am going to be in the flow of PURE ANGST AND WHUMP!!!!

STOPPPPP OMG (plz insert me sobbing right here right now) knowing what we know about bucky and kennedy's feelings towards one another right now and what they've told one another - and what we can absolutely see is deep love and care for each other as well - i ca only imagine what goes through both their minds the second the signal is given that they'll be going on a march. here's a little something i scribbled down at the thought (it's a little messy, a little wordy too but it was my first thoughts and just....i am in SHAMBLES!!!):

He was grabbing her arm. Even despite the thick leather of the A2 jacket she wore, swaddled around her very being, his grip was as tight, if not the strongest, she’d ever felt it be. And they’d all had lackluster food and water since arriving here.

Kennedy looked up at him, his eyes ablaze with something dark and deep down she could see the fear. Something he had tried to hide and tuck away inside of him. Yet, when she looked up into him, she could see it - it was only growing.

"Stick close to me." Bucky said quietly between themselves as the rush of the airmen around them, consumed them - loud boots slapping against the wooden floor, shouts and yells echoing down the long hallway, bodies slamming into one another as the cold from the outside slowly managed to chill her bones. Kennedy couldn't think past much else except hanging onto Bucky and trying to stay warm. Two of the most important aspects she had found herself drawn to.

At some point in the chaos, Bucky had wrapped his arm around her shoulders and practically attached her to his side - and she was sure it was the only thing grounding in this moment in time. There was no destination it seemed, and there wasn't a clue as to what entirely was going on and how long they'd be marching. All she knew is that the Allies were closing in, and the Germans were trying to stay just out of their reach.

And that meant moving the entire camp and every person in it, burning the place behind them to the ground.

As she walked beside Bucky, who remained firm, steely and as solid as a damn rock beside her, the only thought in her mind as waves of fear and nostalgia and anguished grief seemed to hit her was that she wanted to go home. And what hurt more was that her body had been so many places in a short span of time that she wasn't even sure where home was to her anymore.

"You okay, Kenny?" she heard Bucky calling to her as the shouting continued, dogs barking and snapping in the background, fire smoldering to the dark sky above them.

"Yeah," she managed out, looking up to catch his gaze which knew better it seemed than to trust her words, "fine." Bucky paused for a moment there as people rushed around him and reached up a gloved hand to pull the beanie on her head down a bit more, tucking in a few bits of her scarf alongside that. It was short and to the point, but he pressed a quick kiss to her cheek and then looked at her.

"I'm not letting go of you, alright?" he said, gloved hand snaking down to her own as he pulled it to his chest, "Hold on to me."

Definitely Princess Kidnapped! I’d love to be able to finish it but in order to do that…? I have to delve into a very dark mental space. See? The story consists elements of rape and/or non-consent… it would come with loads of trigger warnings and having to read very depressing testimonies from survivors on Reddit so… yeah… I probably won’t finish it and it’s too bad because I’d love to write Hook getting the medieval punishment/execution he deserves.

I’m good at researching for accuracy? I also like to think that I do okay at angsty scenes. Some of my readers have told me I’m excellent at staying true to characterization🤷🏻‍♀️

Once Upon a Time. But technically, when I was a pre-teen I would write stories about the Little House and Love Comes Softly Characters down in composition books; pre-teen me had no idea I was writing ‘fanfics’ way back then😂 I also didn’t know it was a normal fangirl behavior👀

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Definitely “Words of Comfort” and “The Proposal”. With Words of Comfort, it was angsty and I got to go into Baelfire’s and Rumpelstiltskin’s relationship, which in my opinion was the best and most realistic parent/child relationship on the show. Plus it was rather well-received too, which is a nice little bonus. “The Proposal was fun because I’ve never written an engagement fic before (SwanFire didn’t really go about things in that way in my AU) so it was fun using Don to explore it. It was also fun touching on Don’s and Gordy’s friendship. I think the fandom forgets how close those two were in real life and then when you add that Jack and Joel also hit it off behind the scenes?? No I just could not pass that up! So yeah! Those two are my favorites and I’ll link them for you guys (also, I’m so disappointed that The Proposal got overshadowed by the wedding night chapter😭 it’s not fair!)

3. 3 films you could watch for the rest of your life and not get bored of?

Oaghh this is actually a tricky question!! But maybe I do know how to answer...

The Cat Returns (Studio Ghibli / Hiroyuki Morita)

It's my #1 comfort movie haha. I used to watch it with my sister when we were little, more so than any other Ghibli film (I did grow up with them and liked a lot of them - but I have to admit: I've never understood the appeal of Totoro specifically, I still think it's overrated hfhfjfj). Apparently it's widely considered to be a less good movie than the others, partly because Miyazaki wasn't that involved in it, but I think it's amazing. Also, I saw Whisper of the Heart (the one it's a spin off of) as an adult and didn't like it at all ajdjfkfk. The music, the worldbuilding/aesthetic, the (sometimes very eccentric) Finnish dub and the inherent whimsicalness of the story are very nostalgic and fun for me, and I've always loved cats, so :D

2. LOTR trilogy

It's cheating haha but putting all three under one heading. I've gone to a cinematic back-to-back marathon event of the extended edition... It took 12 hours and was one of the best moviegoing experiences of my life xD I feel like once you've done that, you're at a point where you can definitely say you're not going to get bored of it. I mean, I've been known to dip to get more snacks during some sequences (particular non-favourite is Shelob - not for any lack of fondness for spiders btw, I just find it a bit tedious as an action scene and it's at a point in the story where I'd rather be Moving On), but overall I really love these films - the story, the world, the characters, the music, the sheer amount of effort and care that went into making them and how it really shows >:]

3. POTO 2004

<333 Favourite musical film hahahahahah. I know this is controversial, but for me personally it's in some aspects even more fulfilling than seeing the show in the theatre. My favourite part/character of the show and book is and has always been the opera house!!!! I looooove theatres and theatre backstage stuff, especially big fancy old opera houses, and the movie is very immersively costumed and staged (set?). I don't watch it often (in full anyway - I rewatch the Carlotta scenes semi-often though), but I feel like if I was strapped to a chair and made to, I would just be vibing.

8. any reoccurring dreams?

I've only had one (1) actually repeated dream in my life, where it played out the same beat-for-beat as if watching the same VHS tape again, first when I was about 5 and again when I was maybe 7 years old - a weird Disney pastiche of Aladdin and The Little Mermaid haha. Repeating themes are more common. My least favourite of those was when my mental health was at its absolute lowest in my life during high school, and for around too months I kept dying in different kinds of highly specific ww2-related circumstances 😭😭 (I don't know if I started reading survivor stories too young - around the age of 10 or so...) ANYWAY yeah haha, not many specific reoccurring dreams. I wish I could repeat the one or two times in my life when I've dreamed about flying, it was a lot of fun >:]

One big one rn is that many German theatres don't let you book your tickets in just one step. They make you put in all your info and pick a seat and everything, and only then (after a 5-10 minute delay) do they send an email asking to transfer the money to secure your booking. Well, I was meant to go somewhere tomorrow, but turns out I never remembered to send the money in time and have lost my seat :----) It's okay haha it's going to thunder and rain tomorrow anyway, I'll just stay in my hometown and go see something here later lol...

Perfume- favorite scent?

So I love the smell of coffee but my favorite candle is Better Homes & Garden Warm Leather & Amber. I’m not sure why but I absolutely love the way it smells and every time I go to Walmart I stop to smell it!

Fleece- have any pets?

I’ve talked about this a little before but I have four dogs! (A lot I know lol they drive me crazy but I love them dearly) 3 German Shepherd mixes (1 girl 2 boys) and a beagle chihuahua mix (a boy)

This is Diamond (or Sweet Sweet), she’s the mom of our other two german shepherds and her favorite things are laying out in the sun and crying for attention all the time 😂

Then this is Titan, yes his name matches how big of a dog he is. Sometimes I call him a “tank of a dog” or a “behemoth of a dog” but he loves playing and he can talk to you. For example he can tell you he’s really hungry, tell you he loves you, that he’s thirsty, and he has recently started asking us to not leave when we’re about to leave for work 😅

Then there’s Chewie (technically my dog but he loves my dad a lot for some reason 🙄 he’s a ball of energy and likes to bite my arm like it’s a chew toy if he gets to excited 💀 oh and his favorite snack are Qtips and loaves of bread 😭 the amount of time I’ve had to dig around in his mouth for a Qtips is ridiculous *sigh*

Pigment- what color is your hair naturally? if you could dye it any color which one would you choose?

So I have naturally brown hair, it’s pretty dark but I do have red tones in it when I’m in the sun which I adore! Fun fact about me, I’ve never dyed my hair. I’ve wanted to and at one point I was actually going to get some like bronze or some type of red highlights but this was when I was like 12 so I don’t really remember but I have always loved the idea of doing some sort of dark purple! Most likely not all of my hair but like the lower half of it like a temporary dye or something? Tbh I haven’t put to much thought into it but yeah 🫠

So... I bought some more books over the last week, and today at work colleague B talked about his vacation and said he spent 500€ in one day. When he was finished I then said that I had also spent 500€ on two books yesterday (don't judge me 😔) and all my colleagues (this was right after we were all together for our weekly meeting) were like uhm... Wow okay, but like old books, right? And I was like "ofc 🥰"... Yeah they then asked me for the titles and if there's one thing you need to know about old books is that their titles are like a full page, several sentences. So I read them out to my colleagues, and colleague E, who is of Ukrainian origin, was really interested in the one that's written by one of the Swedish POWs after Poltawa. I offered to lend it to him, but he said that he would have too much trouble with the writing and language (he's been living in Germany for like 30 years at this point, so generally German is no problem for him), so he asked me if I could give him a summary of it after I've read it.... Which I ofc agreed to lol. Anyways I had bright red burning cheeks after talking about my books 😅😅😅 although everyone there thought it was cool and interesting and my boss later asked me if I know Kingdom Come Deliverance (I literally spent the morning throwing Henry/Hans Fanart into the queue.... Not that I've played part 2, but at least I played quite a lot of part 1) and that there's a new part, and I was this close to saying "oh I've heard of it, because of the gay romance" 😭

I write in pen too, we weren't allowed to write in pencil either, in fact most german schools require you to use fountain pens from first grade on, you can switch to normal pen later when they get looser with it

And to maybe give a little more context about the handwriting ask, I thought about it because one of my current courses in school is physics and I write admittedly shitty cursive, but the cursive uppercase "E" looks like epsilon which is the symbol for the electric field constant

Uppercase "E" is the charge of an electron, these are two things that are probably gonna be used on the same page at some point so my uppercase "E" is the only letter I don't write in cursive at all anymore and that stuck out to me so I thought about if that could happen in other fields

I know your pain because when I was like 6-7 I could read in like 5 languages (even in Old Italian because of an old Divine Comedy book we have) but NOW i had a great downfall and I know German/English/Spanish, and understand a bit of Italian and can read in Russian. In Genetics we even get taught the linguistic and mathematical part because its actually widely connected like in the genetics components of who we are as individuals, and how all of that also affects our mentality and psychology. Dont get me started about the fact that i also have the ethics of Rep. Medicine, i have to learn calculus, algebra, chemisty, mathematics, etc. I cant complain because I ADORE what i study but im afraid for myself ☠
