Mytho fans id like to issue a formal apology. I realized I, too, know how it feels to have your special little guy mischaracterized and trampled over by his own damn media and now everyone hates him but YOU understand you understand him and they’re wrong they’re all wrong and also there’s this other guy everyone insists is better like it’s a competition and it’s really annoying and you just want everyone to see your pookie bear the way you see him. So we had a lot of 4halo moments today/yesterday but this one was my favorite (I’m gonna paraphrase slightly so this isn’t word-to-word):

Forever, who was very clearly looking at both signs: *turning to Richarlyson* Ooooo~

Bad, flustered after reading the sign: No, nO, NO, NO, NO! Ignore that! Ignore that!

Forever, probably lying: What?? What was written on the sign?? Oh, I didn’t see it!

Bad, also lying: It was- It was just- It was just something Dapper was trying to tell me about the weather!

And like, that’s cute by itself but what I think people didn’t hear is that before Bad has even finished lying about nonexistent rain, Forever goes and says “Ohhh, yeah, it’s hot in here, right?”

Leaks truly never bother me because I know literally nothing is changing Byler and I actually have fun fitting the pieces together of storytelling analysis with what we know for sure about production and the elements of truth we can gain from certain leaks. But what is annoying is I can predict exactly how certain information will be interpreted at large and when it drops I know the next 3-5 business days are gonna be exhausting 🫠

the thought of icemav celebrating christmas together makes me a bit crazy. what do they give each other???

usually nothing . That’s kind of a big deal. in the 80s/90s they’d (reluctantly) celebrate Christmas with carole and bradley (who took that shit kinda seriously) so they wouldn’t really do anything by themselves. Maybe go out for a nice clandestine dinner just cause. After Carole dies and Bradley’s papers get pulled from the academy, ice’s low key newfound interest in celebrating christmas is one of his many many ways to try and normalize relations between him & maverick and try to improve their relationship in the conspicuous absence of the rest of their family. but yes he does make an effort—as does mav—to take advantage of holiday time to be with him as often as possible so, though their schedules don’t always line up, after 2006 they spend about 3/4 xmases together

Ice has very few hobbies besides a.) lovingly working on his cars & plane and b.) reading, so he is exceptionally easy to shop for (as most hobbyless men are): nice tie pins, cufflinks, those unnecessarily expensive hardcover books about weird random topics you find in airport bookstores, fountain pens, nautical /aeronautical themed paperweights, nice leather watchbands etc. highbrow rich guy stuff

Maverick has sooooo many stupid little hobbies that each last between 4-6 months so he is ridiculously hard to shop for— “i thought you were into woodworking so i got you some tools :)!” “uh no that was in April. im trying to learn how to make wallets now” :( so mostly if ice ever gets him anything it’s usually just an expensive dinner date in the city or cash in a blank card or a blank signed check for airplane parts for the next year. Buy whatever you want idc <3

any and all gifts are given with extremely little fanfare PLEASE don’t make it a big deal… hidden around the house with a little “merry xmas!” note attached, or shoved into each others suitcases pre-leaving-for-navy-reasons, or unceremoniously dropped into one’s lap while he’s watching tv, “here you go,” “oh, this is nice, thanks!” Et cetera. love language of gifts/acts of service, but, like, very quietly.

And let me be PERFECTLY CLEAR I am not rooting for Harry to take a tumble? Not at all. If I could shelter him from it, if I could curl up around him and Louis and hiss any time any issue/scandal lapped at their feet… lol I would.

But I can’t. So. I can only observe and say what I think.

The rate at which he is working is untenable and absolutely cannot be sustained. And eventually, the public writ large will tire. We have the attention span of goldfish, after all.

Does this mean he’ll be cancelled and disappear forever? Nah. I have a feeling we’re gonna get the Taylor Swift model from him (don’t send me hate about this I’m not even going to read it. You don’t have to like her at all but she does exist in the world, so.) Taylor has done this thing over the last few years where she pops into culture, makes a boatload of money, and then falls off the face of the earth for anywhere from a few months to a few years. She is someone who knows A LOT about the perils of overexposure. And the game of like “now you see her, now you don’t” has actually benefited her massively.

Harry *will* hit a critical mass. He just will. There is already rumblings of it, but I promise there is a point that something gives. I can’t think of a single celeb of his status who hasn’t faced some sort of tumble. Not a career ender! After all, some people are STILL paying to see Adam Levine perform. But where he is, there’s too much pressure and there are too many ways to “fall” in this day of social media. I don’t know when or how but I really do think we’re catapulting there. And hey, if I’m wrong, then that’s a good thing! It means Harry truly is different than every other musician in the history of ever, and so, I will, I don’t know, send Jeff a fruit basket as an apology or something.

oh i am on the Brink of a mental breakdown. and like a real one. i am going to feel so so fucking terrible and guilty if i don’t go to the first week of mac rehearsal bc i need to recover but i am also getting the sense that i Need to recover. i have never been this burnt out or genuinely terrified of starting a new semester in my life.

I just realized that Jesse Pinkman’s address in high school was his Aunt’s house. He was already living with her instead of his parents by the time he was in high school. The timeline of her cancer and death is a little fuzzy, but it’s likely he had to care for her while attending school. If that’s the case it’s clear he didn’t ask for accommodations or even use his Aunt’s illness as an excuse for his poor grades (Walt was surprised to hear she had been sick). Combined with his obviously untreated ADHD, it’s no wonder he turned to drug use and failed to ‘apply himself.’

And to think that through all this - taking care of his Aunt, struggling in school - his parents didn’t help; either directly with his Aunt’s illness or indirectly easing his responsibility for her by hiring care givers…
