The fact that its now being rumored/gossiped that the HP reboot resorted to open casting calls because they failed to get any famous child actors to play the leads and very likely do the same with other kid characters and even the adults (if they don't resort to getting the worst adults in hollywood) because its being rumored/gossiped even adult actors are hard to get on board, all due to JKR, has me like:

I won't, but I read both. Months before WB got animated, even. And if more people start comparing them to 'prove' WB is better, or simply denigrate TR because they have nothing better to do it seems, I'm going to lose it

They don't have the same themes. The story they tell is vastly different. And I love WB characters but even after +140 chapters I'm not that attached to them. They're fun. But you can't compare them to TR. No can do.

WB is a shonen in and out. Reading/watching TR expecting a typical shonen will make you miss its strengths. They both excel at what they want to do.

WB and TR both have their qualities and flaws and they're not comparable god. fucking. dammit.

I honestly don’t see the mcu lasting long the way it’s going. Practically every month there’s some new movie or show with rushed cgi that is required to watch so you can understand another movie or show that’s setting up like 3 unnecessary spin-offs and ultimately has no satisfying payoff for earlier storylines. There’s already a plethora of plot holes and continuity errors and the more movies they add to this cinematic universe, the more likely it will collapse under its own weight.

I will give MCU this: they have announced they will be slowing shit down now thankfully so that the people working on the films/shows can have the time they need, so hopefully the constant MCU releases will stop after the films and shows we know are coming out this year.

But I do agree with you, I don't see the MCU lasting long, since they keep going with this idea that everything in the end has to be connected, so as a viewer, you have to watch a-lot of hours of movies and shows just to understand a new movie or show in the MCU and after a while, that's just going to result in fatigue because what's the point of seeing this new thing if its just to make sure your ready for the next new thing???

And people's issues with how the MCU does stuff is obviously showing with peoples reactions to Ant Man 3 right now, let alone Love And Thunder, so unless MCU actually does clean up its act completely, it really won't last long.

Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League should NOT be canon to the Arkhamverse.

I know my opinion won't be a very popular one and that no one cares as much as I do, but the very thought of this game being canon to the Arkhamverse makes me want to burn down an orphanage.

My grievances with this game are more complicated than disliking the playstyle. It may appear that I'm being too hasty in my judgment of an unreleased game, but I have a powerful feeling of foreboding I've experienced about famously "bad" games in the past. It's a stubborn feeling that won't relent and continues to gnaw at me despite my attempts to allay concerns.

From what I've seen of the game, I can tell you that this game should not be in any way connected to the Arkhamverse. There's objectively no reason for this game to be set in the Arkhamverse other than Rocksteady's hope of using the brand to sell a stillborn game that should be its own thing. I would petition Rocksteady to decide against making SSKTJL canon but I doubt anyone cares as much as me.

It's painfully obvious that this game is based more on the Suicide Squad movies than the Arkham series. Arkhamverse Deadshot was a white man, not a black man. Before anyone accuses me of racism, I'm merely pointing out that the movie Deadshot was played by Will Smith, a black man and now Arkhamverse Deadshot, a white man was race changed to black to imitate the movie. King Shark is canonically dead in the Arkhamverse. So is Captain Boomerang. The tonal dissonance between the two is neck-breaking levels of jarring. I'm begging Rocksteady to reconsider connecting this steaming pile to the Arkhamverse as despite what people have said to me, bad storytelling, terrible retcons, and cop-out excuses do have extremely negative effects on a brand's image.
