bad boyfriends - a short angsty fic

need everyone to know that i have two stuffed animals named penny and baz. ok thank you. also!! emetophobia warning!! simon snow is literally me and its so funny. word count: 428

Simon was thrashing around in his sleep, tossing and turning, tearing at the blankets. He woke up gasping for air, clutching his chest.

Baz turned over and looked at his boyfriend confused. Simon was panting and sobbing. Baz reached for Simon, but he pulled away, cowering in the corner of their bed.

Baz sat up and looked at Simon, “Simon?” He said softly.

Simon stopped tearing at his hair long enough to look up at his boyfriend, tears were streaming down his face.

“Simon, it’s alright. I’m here.” Baz reached for Simon, who almost pulled back.

He let Baz take his hand, Baz clutched his hand tightly. He rubbed soft circles into his skin.

“I’m sorry, I’m fine.” Simon pulled his hands away and wiped his tears away, trying to steady his breath.

Baz crawled up beside Simon and pulled him close, letting Simon rest his head on his chest. “It’s clear that you’re not, love.”

Simon let silent sobs wreck his body, his wings wrapped around him and Baz. He hugged Baz tightly, choking on his own tears. “I’m so sorry, I’m a horrible boyfriend.”

Baz’s face dropped. He wondered what the dream was about to make him think that, he knows it’s not true. They both know it’s not true, Simon tries his best and that’s all that matters to Baz. “Shh, you know that’s not true.” Baz soothes, running his hands through Simon’s hair.

Simon’s sobs turned to gagged chokes, he wiggled himself out of Baz’s arms and ran to the bathroom. He clutched the toilet seat and threw up his dinner.

Baz followed him into the bathroom, sitting beside him and rubbing his back. “You’re not a horrible boyfriend, I promise you that.”

Simon slumped against Baz, letting him hold him on the bathroom floor. He’d stopped sobbing, now it was just soft sniffling.

“I love you Baz, I’m sorry I’m so awful. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” Simon buries his face in Baz’s chest and drifts off to sleep.

Baz picks Simon up, propping his arms around his shoulders, and carries him off to bed. He crawls in beside him, and pulls Simon close.

…

The next morning was a rough morning. Simon’s voice was hoarse and cracked, like his vocal chords were protesting everything.

Baz tried to get Simon out of bed, but it was to no avail. Simon laid in bed and rotted his days away silently.

Baz slept beside him each night, but their bed felt empty. And he knew, deep down, there was nothing he could do.

I tried my bestest to be as accurate as possible but I did took some ✨creative liberties✨ and now i can ramble about them! my fav might be Baz's wand, adding pretty carving and flowers (i looooooove lily of the valley) to the hilt just felt right to me, like Baz is so pretty, he needs to have pretty thigns! And Simon's wand, like, it creates chaos when he uses it so u know, smoke and cracks also felt fitting 😌 Another head-cannon I have is that Baz might have two double sets of fangs just because it looks cool sorry not sorry. There's a few more items that i played with the colours so they would fit better.

So yeah, hope y'all like it! 🧡

wayward son - rainbow rowell book review

I'm so fucking done with this book. I'm so done with this series. My books are overdue, I have to read The Ruinous Love Trilogy, I don't have time to start Any Way The Wind Blows, much less start it. But I have to, oh my god what am I doing without this book?

I knew I didn't like Lamb for a reason, and that reason was mainly because if I was in Simon's shoes, I would think the same things he thought. I would do the same things he did.

This book tore my heart out. That's what it was made to do I assume. SnowBaz is ever so slightly toxic, but aren't all relationships? Please Simon and Baz, work on your communication skills.

Anyways, go ahead and shoot me. This isn't my favorite shirt.
