This clown has got to go. I now understand why people are afraid of clowns 🤡 This one is horrific 😳 Now it's up to my boys to fix what Aaron Boone's bad decisions have done to us in this game. I have faith in my boys to do this. LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!!
As I was writing hash tags, Alex Verdugo got Anthony Volpe home to give us a one run lead in the top of the 9th. My boys!! I knew that they could do it!! I love these guys 😍

Great job, Doogie!! 😁😍

if capcom ever did decide to kill leon, i'm sure it'd be brutal and miserable. and they would bring him right the fuck back in the worse way.
just think. he's dying. he knows he is. and he comes to terms with it. he wonders if he's done enough. if there's an afterlife, where will he go? he tries to accept that he's done the best he's could. and surely, if he's damned to hell, then these bioterrorist assholes would be far below the last circle of it.
or maybe, he goes out in pure regret. he hasn't done enough. he doesn't deserve to die yet, he doesn't deserve that mercy-
what i'm saying is, capcom would have the perfect opportunity to appeal to the monsterfucker crowd and the whump fans by resurrecting him as a sexy as FUCK monster weapon. haunted by guilt of 1) being alive and 2) becoming the monster he was supposed to defend humanity from-
verdugo leon, for example -

So... that all happened.
In an effort not to drown in current events, here's some WIP Wed for You Pay the Cost. This is all extremely rough. And I'm talking extremely here. A lot of this will get changed as I finish out the scene and edit it. I just wanted to share something. Gotta head to work now, but enjoy.
Leon was the last one to go through the door, he ducked under the frame and moved his tail all the way inside before closing the door behind him. He watched Luis set a small backpack down on the couch and begin to go through it.
“You ok?” Ashley asked him. She caught the way he seemed to hover uncomfortably near the door.
“Yeah,” he said, “I’m good.” Neither of them were sure if that was the truth. He stepped a bit further into the room and shrugged his rifle and shotgun off his back. Leon didn’t really know what to do with himself.
Luckily Luis saved him the trouble by turning his attention to him. “Ok,” he started with, “lets give you a quick lookover, Big Guy.”
Leon raised an eyebrow and rubbed his two bottom pedipalps together. “A lookover? For what?”
Luis stepped closer to him and said, “Your product line has a high failure rate, as far as mutations go.”
“Product line?” Leon frowned and stepped back.
Ashley asked, “So you know what he is?”
“Well, now that I’ve seen the full mutation, yes. I had a guess before, but seeing the whole thing in front of me, there’s only one product type it could be. Verdugo.”
“Ver-what now?”
“It means executioner, but I think a more fitting title should have “Guardian” or “Protector” even “Body Guard” would have gotten the product’s purpose through more clearly.” Luis closed the gap between himself and Leon once more. “They were created to be soldiers but Saddler quickly abandoned that idea after learning their abysmal survival rate through production. The research teams shifted focus and fine tuned the serum, more survived but not in the numbers he was looking for. Instead of scrapping the project, it was re-pitched as a line of personal body guards.”
Leon ignored most of that. “So you think I’m going to die?”
Luis shook his head. “Most likely not. You survived the mutation process, but I’d like to double check.” He reached up for Leon’s face and said, “Bend down for me, ok?” When Leon hesitated he added, “It’s best we get this done now, yeah?” Leon relented and Luis reached up to touch the outer jaws. Instantly Leon flinched back away. “Leon,” he said more sternly, “don’t be difficult.”
“I just- is this really necessary?”
“Yes. Now stop being a baby.” This time when he reached for Leon’s mandibles he was less gentle. He pulled him back down and opened them up. “I must remind you, my lab did not work on the Verdugo line, I was primarily a special variant Plaga researcher. However, they made us all sit through the presentations of the other labs, so I know just enough to get you sorted.” Leon kept trying to pull away from his touch, no doubt partly on instinct and partly due to being uncomfortable. And while Luis could sympathize with him, he still needed to check him over. “You mutated quickly and aggressively. The process normally takes a week, sometimes more, and is done in stages, induced with serum injections in increasing doses. Now this,” he manipulated the mandible in his hand, “this isn’t the correct outer jaw that goes with this body plan.”
“Yeah?” Leon wanted to yank it free but he let Luis continue. The other man ran his hand along the inside of it, feeling for something. It was uncomfortable, Leon felt the tip of his tail twitch. “What’s it go to then?”
“Las Plagas,” Luis said bluntly. “I think something interesting happened with you. The Plaga can also cause mutations to the host. The drone types have predictable mutations that follow their life stages. The controller Plaga often have more unique mutations, suited to the individual host. These can be triggered at will or in a life or death situation. Sometimes due to stress as well, or as a trigger from another, stronger Plaga.”
“So you think the Plaga was also trying to make me into a monster?”
“Yes,” he said. “But it got overridden by the Verdugo mutagen. The jaws and extra arms are not from the Verdugo mutagen. If I had to guess, they are from the Plaga.”
“But he’s done now, right?” Ashley asked. “No more changes?”
“Theoretically, yes, but-”
“There’s always a but,” Leon said with an eyeroll.
“But until we get the Plaga out of you, it could try to mutate your Verdugo form. Unlikely, since this is such a strong mutation, but it could happen.” Luis finished feeling around one side of Leon’s jaw and moved to the other. “Are you in any pain? From the mutation? Anything still hurt?” Leon shook his head. Luis finished pushing on Leon’s jaw lining. Nothing felt inflamed or swollen. “You don’t appear to have venom sacs, I don’t know if you’d consider that good news or not.”
“Wait, I could have had venom sacs?”
“Yeah, the Plaga with this face type can sometimes develop a venomous bite. You’d have a gland back here,” Luis reached in again with his hand and pressed just under his ear, where the skin of the outer jaws fused with his human skin. “But I don’t feel anything. It’s possible it’ll develop later.” He turned his attention to the large fangs at the end of each mandible. “I doubt it though, I don’t see a hole in your fangs for the venom to leave through. In any case, if you feel swelling here,” he pressed again, “or here,” and did the same with his other hand, but on his neck this time, under the human jaws, “it might be the gland coming in. It won’t affect the remains of your human jaws, or at least it shouldn’t, and your spit won’t be venomous. But your outer jaws could deliver a toxin strong enough to bring down an elephant. So exercise caution.”
“Great,” he said unenthusiastically. “What about,” Leon almost hesitated to ask, but he knew if he didn’t do so now, he might never get the chance. “What about acid? The ones I’ve come across can vomit acid.”
“Ooooh, that’s a tough one my friend. That organ is internal and I’d have to open you up to see if its in there. Your cousin species, the Novistadores have acid as well, but your species isn’t often engineered with it.” Luis moved away from Leon’s face and began to run his hands along the various plating on his chest. “I wouldn’t worry about, if you develop it, it’ll be because of the Plaga.”
“And the only way to know would be to open me up and check?”
“Yes.” Luis pressed on one of the plates that sat just below where his diaphragm would be. “Does this hurt when you breath in?” He could feel Leon expand his lungs and his ribcage moved under the carapace.
“No.”
“Good, good. Some issues that were reported with this line had to do with lung capacity and the ability to breath uninterrupted by the carapace.” He continued to move his hands down to his stomach. “Have you had any bowel movements?”
“No. Haven’t really had time.”
“You eaten anything recently?” Leon didn’t want to answer. He clamped his jaws to his face and looked at Ashley. “Leon?” When he looked up it was clear that the question had made him uncomfortable.
Ashley said instead, “Remember when I called you? And I said Leon wasn’t acting like himself?” Luis looked to her then back at Leon and nodded. “Well, when he wasn’t… himself,” she settled on, “he had eaten some of the cultists.”
“Oh.” Luis looked again to Leon who wouldn’t meet his eyes. “I see.” The blood around his jaws had been a giveaway, but he thought that maybe he had only used them in self-defense. “While I wouldn’t suggest your diet become comprised of human flesh, I will say that your guts are designed to process raw foods. Vegetables, fruit, and yes, meat. So eating them won’t have any negative consequences on your health.”
“I’m a fucking monster,” Leon said quietly.
Luis dismissed that with, “You were doing what you were designed to do. Protect Ashley no matter the cost.” When Leon looked at him with an eyebrow raised, he said, “It’s pretty obvious that its her you’re being made to protect. I don’t know if Saddler had you imprinted or if you did that all on your own.”
Ashley asked, “Wait, imprinted? Like with baby animals?”
“Perhaps that was the wrong word, “paired” might have been better. You see the Verdugo line, like I said before, was shifted to become a guardian type weapon. The first few iterations were not biologically bound to the one they were supposed to protect.”
“And now they are?” she asked again.
Luis nodded. “We have two ways of doing it, both involve the use of a Plaga. It’s clear that Leon has a Plaga inside him,” he said and turned over Leon’s arm to show off the dark veins that were still visible in the gaps between his carapace. “Sometimes both parties are infected with a custom made set of paired Plaga, this, along with picking a person close to the one needing the protection, insures the best results post mutation. If the client has the money and Saddler decides they’re worthy, the client will receive a custom Controller Type Plaga. Then it doesn’t matter as much which Verdugo is shipped to them, if it carries a normal Plaga the client will have no issues with commands or its loyalty.”
“And Saddler would do that? Just give someone a Controller Plaga?” Leon snorted. “Doesn’t that seem a little dangerous?”
“No, it’s actually a benefit to him as well. You see his end goal is to control the world with Las Plagas. The more people he infects the better, and if these folks are eager to do so willingly…” Luis trailed off. “It’s not a safety concern for him because Saddler’s Plaga is the strongest we’ve seen. He wouldn’t give out something that could usurp him to some random militant group.”
Luis put a hand on Leon’s back and started to lift and check the various plates. “You have a Plaga but Ashley doesn’t,” he was focused on Leon and didn’t catch the way that she froze up, “but you’ve clearly already paired yourself to her. Your body language gives it away, I’m sure you feel it as well?” Leon nodded. “The instincts that come with the mutation are strong. Incredibly strong. New Verdguo if not previously paired will pair themselves with someone eventually. We normally keep them in solitary until a client buys one for that reason alone. The pre-paired ones are obviously made to order.”  Luis continued, “Once the bond is made its made for life. It cannot be paired again. Of course, that doesn’t mean it can’t serve another, but the biological connection? That’s a one and done deal.”
Leon looked at Ashley who was staring back at him. “What does that mean?” he asked. “For me?”
“Well, you might be switching careers friend. Being separated from the one you’re paired with for long distances and durations will cause immense feelings of anxiety and sometimes violence, if you aren’t brought back together.” Luis asked, “Can you bend forward for me? Like you’re going to touch the ground?”
Without giving it much thought Leon leaned forward and dropped his hands to the floor and stretched. “So that’s it? I’m fucked?”
“Oh I wouldn’t go that far friend. You have options. Control over yourself will come with age. Some of our Verdugo on the market have been around for a couple of years now. They settle pretty easily, at least, that’s what I gather from the reports I’ve read.”
“I’m sorry,” Ashley said, “Leon I’m sorry. I didn’t know this would happen.”
“Neither of us did, not your fault.”
“On the bright side,” Luis said, stepping away, “you are built wonderfully. I’ve never seen such an exceptional specimen. Your body seems to have adapted perfectly to the mutagen, nothing is out of place. Full range of motion, carapace that has a bit of give, everything slots perfectly together, honestly, a perfect example of your species. If the Plaga hadn’t don’t a couple of its own mutations you’d be exemplary.”
“Please,” Leon winced, “please stop talking about me like I’m a product.” He stood back up to his full height.
“My apologies, Leon, but you are. Best shore up with that now instead of later.”

(slaps top of Leon) this bad boy can fit so much spooky in it.
Anyway, I was working on the comparison sheets for Leon, Ashley, and the traditional Verdugo's mutations (for my own personal reference, and to go back to while working on later chapters of the Simulation Swarm fic) After fiddling with brushes and trying to get the glowy eyes vibe, he kinda just... showed up.
I'm going to try to fenagle my way into some UV bioluminescent stuff, since scorpions are so the vibe!

Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil
Alejandro Vargas X Reader One-Shot
Word Count: 1.7K Warnings: Explicit Language, Mentions of Death and Violence
Author's Note: What's better than a killer working with the COD boys? A friendly commissioned killer working with the COD boys. Enjoy! -Thorne
**********************************************************************
It was a grisly scene the five of them had walked in on. Three bodies, tied to chairs in the center of the room, gunshot wounds to the head. The others stood back in disgust and confusion, she on the other hand, walked towards the bodies, gathering information.
“Based on the state, I’d say in the last twenty-four hours. Clean shots. Executed from the front. Looking for a professional killer.” She walked around on body and paused, fingers trailing along the man’s ears; she frowned—they’d been sewn shut. Curiosity got the better of her and she went to the next man, poking up an eyelid; she went to the next and pushed his mouth open, then she stepped back. “Christ in a handbasket, he’s here.”
“Who’s ‘he’?” Ghost asked and she looked back at the men.
“The Judge’s Executioner.”
The four men shared looks of confusion. “El verdugo del juez?” Alejandro repeated and she nodded.
“Ten to one, you two,” she said, looking at Alejandro and Rudy. “These are corrupt judges from Las Almas. If they weren’t openly being corrupt, then they were in secret.”
“How do you know this?” Rudy asked and she sighed, nodding at the bodies.
“I recognize the calling card.” She stepped back. “We international assassins, at least the ones of us who’ve garnered enough pull in the underworld, leave calling cards behind. Ways we can be recognized to other assassins.” She pulled out a single card and lifted it for the men to see. “It’s why I leave Ace of Spades on mine.”
“You’re an assassin?” Alejandro asked, bewildered and she nodded.
“I’m what you would call a lawful assassin, Alejandro. I don’t kill good people, only very bad people. The type of people that deserve nothing but death. The Ace of Spades is the highest card in the deck, trumps other cards. It also symbolizes death in some meanings, new beginnings in others.”
“So, you leave the card behind on the body to let people know a new beginning is coming?” Rudy questioned and she nodded. “Huh…so what’s the calling card here? And how do you recognize it?”
She pointed to the bodies. “I’ve seen it in the news, but also heard it from others. We call him the Judge’s Executioner. Only kills corrupt judges, always in threes, and leaves the same symbolism behind.”
“Which is?” Ghost asked.
“Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.” Her expression blanked a little. “You can check yourself, I already have, but one’s got his ears sewn shut, the next his eyes removed, and the last his tongue cut out.”
“I’ll take your word for it,” Soap said, a sick look on his face and Rudy agreed, but Alejandro and Ghost both looked.
“It’s a way of him saying that these judges were in dirty deals. One saw and spoke but heard nothing, one spoke and heard, but saw nothing, and the last saw and heard, but said nothing.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “If you look in their personal files, Alejandro, evidence will show their corruption.”
Ghost grunted. “Doesn’t seem like a bad end in my opinion.”
“It’s not,” she said. “I’ve seen the people he’s killed. These men and women were in serious shit. Human trafficking, drug trafficking, murder, rape, you name it, they’ve done it.” She groaned. “Goddamnit, now I’ve gotta go hunt him down.”
“You’re going to kill him?” Soap questioned, shock in his tone.
“No, but I’ve gotta talk to him.”
“Why?” Rudy asked.
She huffed. “Assassins are like wolves. We’re territorial. You do not hunt in another assassin’s territory until that assassin has packed up and moved on. Not only is it just incredibly stupid and brings in the Feds, it’s seen as extremely disrespectful to the art.”
“The art…?”
“The art of assassination.” She looked around the room, knowing there was either a camera or a microphone near. “You know I’m here, Executioner. I’ll be on my own tonight. Find me or I find you.” She looked at the men. “I’d better start hunting. I’ll be back at base when I can.”
Alejandro started to follow. “It’s not safe for you to go around Las Almas alone.”
She cocked a brow. “I can take care of myself, thank you very much. I’ve only spent the last thirty years honing a razor-sharp instinct and skill.” Her tone had an offensive lit to it. “Not safe for you,” she mocked, voice lowering as she muttered, “like I haven’t been killing since I was eight fucking years old.”
“Spades,” Ghost called. “Call in when you’re done.”
“I’ll do whatever I want,” she retorted. “But I may call in when I’m done. Depends on whether or not I’ve been shot.”
***
The church bell chimed three times when she met him in the alley. They stood a few feet from another, both dressed in all black, hands free here they could both see.
“Been a while, Executioner. Glad to see you still in good health,” she greeted. “I think it was Brazil in fifteen?”
He simply nodded.
“You’re here for something more than the judges, aren’t you?”
Another nod.
“Not me…not the army…not my two…the cartel?” she hummed, eyes narrowing. “You’re after El Sin Nombre, aren’t you?”
This time he didn’t nod, but she knew.
“Aren’t we all,” she chuckled, tone turning dark as she warned, “You’re treading on territory already claimed.”
His head tipped to the side.
“I was here first. You’re invading.” She rested her forearm on the gun at her side. “We can let bygones be bygones but El Sin Nombre, is mine, not your kill to claim.”
She saw a flash in his eyes.
“You know the rules. No one’s going to take kindly to finding out that you’re treading on other assassin’s territories. You’ll start an all-out war if you do.”
He shrugged.
“Oh, don’t give me that,” she griped. “You’re a lot of things, but this isn’t one of them. You don’t give a damn about anyone else’s reasons, only your hunt. Mexico’s a big place. Lots of corrupt judges in all cities. Find another. Now.” This time, her hand went to her gun, and she gripped it. “Or this is going to turn ugly. Very fast. And I promise you,” she warned, tone dripping with an invitation to a serious threat. “You will not walk away from me alive.”
They stared one another down and then he tipped his head down, stepping back.
She let go of her gun and watched as he backed off, turned heel, and disappeared into the night, leaving her standing in the alley alone; she turned her head to the side and griped, “You two can come out now.”
Slowly, but surely, Alejandro and Ghost emerged from the shadows, expressions of “I got caught” written all over their faces, well, Alejandro’s face at least; Ghost’s eyes held nothing.
“Seriously?” she asked. “You fucking chaperoned me?”
“Tailed,” Ghost replied.
“Same shit, different name.” she reached up, rubbing her temples. “I told you I could’ve handled this. This was not my first rodeo.”
“We were just making sure you were safe,” Alejandro said. “Solo nos asegurábamos de que no te tomara por sorpresa.”
She inhaled deeply, pushing the irritation away, the earnestness in Alejandro’s voice warming something cold and dead inside. “Thank you for looking out for me. It wasn’t needed or desired…but thank you.”
Alejandro’s smile was prevalent, and she knew Ghost was probably smiling beneath his mask, and she walked with them. “Take me to a bar, Ale. I need a beer or five.”
“Let’s get back to base and we can open a bottle of whiskey together.”
“Sounds good. Make some food too. I’m starving. And pissed. Hunting makes me hangry.”
As she climbed in the back of the jeep, Ghost questioned, “So, what happens now?”
“In what regards?”
“Is he leaving?”
“If it’s not tonight, he’ll leave tomorrow, but yeah.”
“So, what was he after?” Alejandro inquired.
She hummed. “El Sin Nombre.”
“I’m glad you got him out then. We need El Sin Nombre alive.”
“For now…at least.”
“You’re gonna kill him, aren’t you?” Ghost asked.
“Planning on it.”
Alejandro sighed. “And there’s nothing I can do to dissuade you?”
“Sure, pay me two million U.S. dollars like my client did and I’ll cancel the contact.”
“There’s something wrong with you, Spades,” Ghost muttered. “Like I know you’ve got morals, but shit, you’re fucked up.”
She shrugged. “I work on commission, boys. I don’t get paid to do nothing. And El Sin Nombre has a very high limit on his head. I just happened to get the contract first. Which is also why I was fit to be fiddled with Executioner here.” Sitting back, she closed her eyes. “I don’t expect you two to be in alignment with my job. I’m not a good person. I kill people. And one day, I’ll face those consequences. But I bring the long arm of the law to those who have escaped it for far too long. I won’t apologize for it.”
The two men were silent for some time and when they got back to the base, Ghost was out first, leaving her and Alejandro alone; she climbed into the front seat and sat with him in silence.
“Espadas,” he murmured, and she hummed. “Though I do not agree with how you go about your justice…I do not think you’re a bad person. Creo que eres una buena persona, una mujer aún mejor debajo del exterior endurecido que has construido.”
She smiled sadly, not looking at him as she laid a hand on his at the gear shift. “Don’t waste your heart on someone like me, Alejandro,” she whispered. “I’m not worthy of it.”
His hand turned up, grasping hers and he decided, “Yo decidiré quién es digno de mi corazón o no.”
Turning her head, she gazed at him quietly. “I don’t exactly know if I can make you as happy as you’re hoping for. I…don’t expect to be alive until I’m eighty.”
Alejandro lifted their hands, pressing his lips to the back of hers. “Then we will enjoy the time we have until it is over.”

Resident Evil's Leon S. Kennedy getting dropped in Kaiju No. 8 would feel like a vacation to hell for him. Even moreso if he's human or an Infected with visible deformities. (I'm talking @polarspaz's Verdugo version or @beanzbeanz001's Infected iteration levels of bad.)
If Leon's human then he would be so confused at first. Raccoon City, Umbrella, and every single viral/parasitic incident doesn't even exist. Neither is the government keeping him away from an actual normal life. Sure he'll try find his way back if possible since Leon does have friends in his hellish home world. Then the man experiences his very first Kaiju attack.
An immediate 'What the Fuck' that evolves into 'This is actually worse'. Like even the worst abominations he faced could be taken down with bullets at the very least. Kaiju practically shrug off everything unless you aim for their cores but also have the firepower to pierce through.
At most Leon can do is blind and run from any attacking monster. Otherwise he's chilling in a bunker or has to join the Defense Force for a kaiju fiber power suit to defend himself. The latter would definitely be hard considering Leon has trust issues and the two tests he has to take without any proof of his existence.
Best chance the bloke has is to be noticed by someone nicely high up in the Defense Force. A plausible task although he might have to purposely endanger himself involving a Kaiju/Honju/Yoju. If he's infected then oh boy.
Leon isn't going to have a fun time as he will be mistaken for a Kaiju from his appearance. He'd also struggle fighting monsters around his size since they could have dangerous abilities even if given info about their cores. Plus I think him being infected could even worsen his situation should Leon get captured.
The Defense Force definitely won't like the idea of a possibly spreadable zombie virus/parasite on their problems to tackle. (Pretty sure everyone shivered thinking about a zombie virus spreading kaiju.) Leon would be constantly monitored with scheduled humane experiments at BEST in their custody.
Also I imagine our boy just hanging out with the family of the little girl Kafka saved in episode 2. She just sees Leon huddled in an alley behind a dumpster looking miserably. Pure sopping wet cat energy that makes her think about 'Mister Kaiju' when he asks her to go away.
Her poor mother practically having a heart attack when her daughter brings Leon home. (That lady is seriously questioning if it's appropriate to flirt with kind monster men. She was conscious enough to see Kafka.) At least Reno won't be alone in the 'keeping your inhuman friend alive' compartment.

Summary of RE4R cast meet and greet on Twitch
Finally had time to watch the twitch stream of the RE4R cast meet and greet that aired last week. Here's a quick summary. General: RE4R was made 2 years ago. Everyone in the cast has become one big happy family.
Genevieve Buechner (Ashley): Been acting since a young age. Changed agencies 3 years ago and requested for video game gigs, happy to have landed the role of Ashley. Had to use a lot of her imagination on set after being on TV for years.
André Peña (Luis): Forged a RE4 replica knife and gifted it to Nick on the stream. (Beautiful knife btw!) Did go to acting school, Luis is his first professional paid acting & voiceover role. He knew he was auditioning for RE4R as they forgot to change one name in the script and he saw the name "Saddler". The OG RE4 was the first RE game he played.
Marcio Moreno (Salazar): Is tall IRL, was on his knees to portray a short Salazar while the other actors were usually on stairs. Lived in Spain for 5 years and almost forgot the actual Spanish accent so he asked his brother's gf who is Spanish to record some lines in a Spanish accent so he could remember the accent again. Usually plays villains or "stereotypical Mexicans" in acting roles and was quite happy to play a Castellan role.
Also played the El Gigante, Verdugo, Dr Salvadore, the ganados, and one of the Bella sisters. He had fun playing monsters.
Christopher Jane (Saddler): Happy to play the villain. Was initially convinced that he was only hired for just the table read and not the actual game. The director had to tell him repeatedly he is playing Saddler for the entire gig.
Jon Bryant (Mendez): Is a singer and his actual voice sounds totally different from Mendez. He does sing in Mendez's voice near the end of the stream which is hilarious. Singing a birthday song in Mendez voice was funny.
Michael Adamthwaite (Merchant): Has English heritage on his mother's side so he channeled some British twang for the role. His maternal grandfather also sells real estate IRL (if I’m not mistaken) so “selling stuff” is in his blood. 😝 Had his 10 year old son on the stream and it was his birthday, what an adorable kid.
Mike Kovac (Krauser): Does stunts professionally, used to be a wrestler. Already had experience handling knives and brought a training knife onto set on the first day. The director was happy and open to more realistic knive movements for the characters.
Based Krauser’s voice off the wrestler Jake “The Snake” Roberts and also Metallica singer James Hetfield.
Lily Gao (Ada): This is her first time doing motion capture, had a fun time despite having all the gear strapped to all parts of the body. Got stuck to Nick via velcro on the mocap suit a few times lol. Mostly acted with Nick and "a few other people". (Other than sharing scenes with Saddler, cultists, Wesker, and chopper pilot, does this mean DLC on the way??)
Actually got booked for Ada in the WTRC movie before RE4R. Did research on Ada's character despite not playing any video games growing up and admires Ada's strong character. Her agent got an email from the RE4R crew to ask her to audition for the video game role 'cos the RER4 crew saw her role in WTRC. The crew wanted to finally cast an Asian actress in the role. Lily did see what the previous VAs did and found all variations to be beautiful. Lily sent in her audition and got the part.
Raylene Harewood (Hunnigan): Did not meet the rest of the cast while working on this. Was not familiar with the RE franchise. Did one audition tape for Hunnigan by pretending to be on a computer and talking to Leon, and then she got cast.
It's her first time doing motion capture as well. Was mostly in a booth with the camera gear and reacting to Leon's lines that were already recorded.
Craig Burnatowski (Wesker): Nick & Lily were the only two people he has met so far, saw some of the others briefly. This is his second time working on a RE game, his first RE game gig was RE Outbreak. The mocap for Outbreak was vastly different back then.
Did not know what franchise he was booked for until he walked onto set and asked what game it was. 🤣
Steve Kniebihly (Cinematics Director): Have been cinematics director for 20 years, recently did the direction for RE3R, RE4R, RE8. Mostly focusing on directing cutscenes. Did a balance between grounded & realistic scenes and also catering to the fans. The bingo line was actually something else during filming but he decided to ask Nick to try out the old line instead and it was kept in the end.
Even if someone screws up their audition, as long as he can vibe with them, he will go with them instead of people who read their lines perfectly. He also doesn't like assholes and can read people. He wants someone who is nice and can take directions well… Capcom also has a say who is cast for the role as well, not just Steve.
Nick Apostolides (Leon): Nick has not met the VAs for Hunnigan & Mike in person. Cooked meals for everyone on set and everyone was raving about his cooking, especially his barbecues. Was asked to come back to play Leon.

A/n: Angst and fluff, that’s what all this fic is about.Going with Leon getting injured by Verdugo, protecting the F!reader.
Warnings: Blood, injuries { Leon gets hurt pretty bad }
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a blow that should have been meant for you but Leon wasn’t about to let that happen so he did what was second nature to him.
Push you out of the way.
A yell escaped from his lips as he felt the claw digging into his side and yet he knew he still had to protect you. He was lucky enough to blow the things head off before his knees hit the ground. Gasping he pressed his hands to his side, blood seeping through his finger tips. “Are you alright.”
“Me…Leon…oh god!” You didn’t even know what to say, your mind was still trying to process what even happened. Chest heaving you quickly rushed to his side. The man slumping into you as your arms wrapped around his waist. You could ask him questions later, right now you needed to get somewhere safe.
You tried to get the man to walk with you, you did your best to encourage him but he was losing so much blood. You didn’t even want to look at the trail he was leaving. Blinking back some tears you managed to slip into a empty room, a sigh or relief seeing a few medical supplies strewn about on the table.
“Leon! Hey! Nononono. You can’t fall asleep on me, you have to stay awake alright.”
Doing your best not to panic, you got to work on treating the wound. A sigh of relief escaping your lips seeing the padding took most of the blow though it did not ease your nerves watching the blood soak the bandage but at least it was stemming.
Hearing a mumble of your name, your head snapped towards the man as you scooted closer. Your bloodied hand taking a hold of his. “How are you feeling?”
“Did you drug me?”
Sighing you pushed his blond strands out of his eyes, you could see he was doing his best to not fall asleep.
“I gave you medicine.”
Blinking, he then let out a laugh leaning into your hand. “That explains why I dont feel anything.” He let out a laugh.
Shoulders slumping, you gave him a weak smile leaning in to give his forehead a kiss. “Get some sleep okay, we’re close but I can’t have you straining yourself.”
Nodding his head, Leon closed his eyes. Your voice was so soothing, so relaxing. He knew he had to save Ashley but in this state he wasn’t about to go anywhere until he gained a bit of his strength back, his hand squeezing yours.
“Hey Y/n.” He wanted to tell you before he passed out, he needed to tell you.
“Yes Leon?”
“I love you.”

Why I hate Jack Krauser for all the right reasons
Okay, so before I get lynched by someone; this is just my opinion and thoughts, I haven't played much of the original and so I'm solely going off the remake here. [I'm sorry in advance if I end up upsetting anyone. I'd be more than happy to hear other's thoughts on the topic of Krauser.] I wanna start with the obvious reason why. Killing off one of my favourites, Luis Serra. [Listen, I know it was different in the original RE4 where it was Saddler instead but let me be salty for a moment.] Luis had the Amber, he had his ticket out. He could've escaped with Ada yet helped Leon and Ashley at the same time (I know he technically still does help even after he dies by giving the lab key) But then Krauser had to come in, kill the beloved Spaniard to retrieve the Amber and proceeded to duel Leon with the intention of killing him. Just the pure malice in his voice when he says the word "Rookie". It's enough to practically send a chill. And then when Leon had originally reached for his gun and Krauser puts the same knife he killed Luis with to Leon's throat. The speed at which he moves at is terrifying. I know there's the counterargument of Krauser being controlled by the Plaga. But I still wanna go over the boss fight Krauser was Leon's mentor, that is pretty common knowledge. But just the build up to the fight. The dog tags that were left on display and the photo of rookie Leon with the words "I'M WAITING". Like, he didn't need to do that. But he did anyway.
Tumblr media
And then the back and forth between them before the actual fight. Leon tries to talk sense into Krauser, but it's evident that Krauser was already too far gone. That is a shell of who he once was, and now he just wants to end Leon. Also the way his body mutates during the boss fight really puts the final nail in the coffin. The line "Dead? No, I've been reborn..." really shows just how lost the actual Krauser is inside that body. Now it was just a husk of a man, a mindless mutant that's set out to kill.
And by the end, when Leon hold Krauser's knife, he sees a reflection of himself in it. Unlike earlier when in that one sequence after Verdugo it was Krauser's reflection looking right back at Leon. It really just reflects for a moment as to what had occurred. Leon had defeated his mentor, the very person who had trained him to be the agent he was today. I know this isn't normally the type of stuff I post and this is just a rant that could've been summed up with "I don't like Krauser because he killed Luis :(" and me being salty about it. But I do see the appeal! I can see why people like him. Hell, I think he is a pretty damn good rival to Leon due to both their past together and how Krauser matches his skill and strength level (I know, he used to be his mentor, no shit). [Though I don't see why some people ship them. That's just not my thing.} Anyways, if you read all of that: I'm sorry. Why? It felt like I just pointed to the obvious things that happened in game with some parts probably being overlooked. Okay rant over. Have a nice rest of your time awake.

Hello, can you do platonic/romantic Ramon Salazar headcanons from resident evil 4? Thank you
Hm... sure! He's a character I'm... unsure about but I will try my hand at writing him. Sorry if it's short, I wasn't sure what to do with him due to the dubious pairing.
Yandere! Ramón Salazar Concept
Pairing: Platonic/Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Mentioned kidnapping, Jealousy, Violence, Forced companionship, Infection, Mind control.
Tumblr media
Despite his stature, something he hates being mentioned, he still has the ability to be downright terrifying as a yandere.
The fact a man so much shorter than you can keep you in line is impressive.
You'd think you could leave him easily... yet that is not the case.
First of all, his castle is spacious.
The castle is rather isolated and it's easy to be lost in.
Not only that but Cultists roam about.
Then there's of course Ramón's guards, the Verdugo.
Being anywhere near him would surround you with monsters.
Now in terms of his behavior?
No Wiki gives me a specific personality for him so I'm going strictly based off interactions with Leon.
I imagine he would both be self-centered yet tries to be charming towards you.
He often calls you by Spanish names or outright says whole sentences to himself in Spanish.
This would benefit him if you don't speak Spanish (like me-).
Most Darlings would tower over him so the idea of dealing with a short yandere is interesting to me.
Yet he makes up for his size with the Verdugo always around him.
Maybe while you roam the castle Ramón gives you one of his Verdugo to watch you.
He definitely keeps you heavily monitored.
In terms of affection I imagine it would mostly consist of laying you down and him laying on top of you?
I also can see Ramón being an unstable yandere.
He wants you to be behaved and listen to him.
If you don't take him seriously he would most likely trap you in a cell.
Ramón could possibly be possessive or easily jealous.
The mere idea of someone else being around you sends him into a fit.
Ramón may also see your little "relationship/partnership" as something poetic or tries to make it seem like a play.
Due to his fascination with plays from what I've seen.
He really does try to make you come to him on your own.
But you're so put off by him it most likely won't happen.
Much to his frustration.
Honestly if you tried to fight him or run he'd just send Verdugo or Cultists to track you down.
Due to his loyalty towards Saddler I imagine he feels his darling will feel "more at home" if he infected you with Las Plagas.
So expect to be forcefully given the parasite.
He'd do it as a gift or a punishment, depends on his mood when he comes up with the idea.
Plus, if I'm correct, if you're infected with the parasite then you can be more docile and controlled.
Like it or not, the moment he feels he has to give you the parasite... you're his.
Ramón has the dominant species, giving you the lesser species forces you to listen.
He's one for obedience... so it gives him confidence/pride at the fact you now listen to his beck and call.
Be you just a companion he's close to, or a lover he happens to yearn for, he has you on a metaphorical leash.
That way he can act out whatever little theatrical he wishes with you.
You'll stay human for a little while when he has you...
But in the end you'll be infected just as the Cult wants you to be.
Then you'll truly be his... with no possibility of escape

There were so many happy faces after the NY Yankees won the ALCS Championship last night!!! It was a great celebration for a great baseball team!!! They played with all their heart and soul, and because of that, they're on their way to the World Series for the first time in 15 years!!! Congratulations to my boys!! You deserve it, and you earned it. And i needed the endorphins. 😁 I am very, very, very happy for you all!! It's our year. I've been saying that since the season started. I hope that I'm right!! I know that this team can go all the way. I can't wait for Friday!!! I wonder who they'll be playing. I'll be happy with either the Mets or the Dodgers. Either team will give us all a great series!! So I haven't played the remake, but would you mind highlighting how Leon was toxic to Ada? I actually know very little about their interactions in this version. I'm also team Ada should beat his ass and fly off happily, leave him crying snottily with a bloody nose, just to spite the original misogyny (lol!) and I'm an Ada fan who strongly dislikes the ship.
He treats her like an asset/resource in RE4make, basically, and he's not shy about it. It's not a total role reversal in the sense that he's manipulating Ada the way that she used to do to him in the original; he's just a dick who mines her as a resource and is outwardly an asshole to her.
Like, at one point, Ada goes out of her way to buzz him about seeing Verdugo carrying Ashley to the throne room in the castle, and his verbatim response is:
"So, I guess you're not completely heartless. I guess I should be... thankful?"
And just kind of pauses and stares at him through the screen and then says incredulously "Yeah. You should." and hangs up on his ass. AND SHE'S SUPER RIGHT TO HAVE THAT REACTION LMAO WHAT AN ASSHOLE
The only time he reaches out to her on his own is to ask her if she happens to know the possible location of Luis's lab, and he does it in the most dickish way possible -- like, he's fucking accusing her of something.
Tumblr media
He doesn't even say "thank you."
At the end of the game, Ada offers to give him a ride off the island on the chopper she escapes in, and he can't just say no to her. He looks at her like she asked him something completely ridiculous -- like she's stupid for even asking.
Tumblr media
And then he shakes his head at her as she walks away.
Even Ashley is like wait why is she leaving without us why would she???? and Leon just cuts her off and is like HEY DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW WE'RE GOING THIS WAY and drags her over to the elevator to escape LMAO
He even, during the boat scene, asks her explicitly if she's changed -- because he wants her to change; he doesn't accept her for who she is or forgive her for what she's done, like he did in OG.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, he's such a cunt to her. All game. Without exception.

Ok, I felt compelled to do a proper breakdown of Leon's back plates and how he's put together. This is still subject to change a bit, but this is pretty much the basic shapes I've had in mind for how his final form is going to look. I'll probably also do a version where I slap some color on him. In the fic the carapace is described as being tan/brown with mottled blue and green colors over the top. I'll do a proper reference of his chest and more of his pedipalps/mandibles later.
Minor spoilers for You Pay the Cost, as he does get wings later, way later, they fold up underneath the main 3-4 larger plates on his back.I'll finalize how those look as well, this is just something extremely rough to get my basic ideas out.
He's heavily referenced from RE4 Remake's Verdugo model, as the B.O.W. product line he's mutating into is indeed a variant of the Verdugo. His legs are especially referenced from it, and a bit of the back plates too. The arms are more my thing, I needed him to still be able to hold guns and interact with human objects, I feel like the current Verdugos can't do that with their massive claw hands. The stinger/blade at the end of his tail is also shaped differently, its more hooked while the OG Verdugo is more like a straight piercing blade.
He has some foot differences too, the Verdugo in 4 remake seems to have four toes, two in back two in front, though the front two do look semi fused. For Leon, he gets three toes in the front and one in the back, with two toes being fused into one. A trait I carried into his second hands design as well. With two fingers being fused into one long claw and then three remaining "human" digits. His original hands get to keep all five digits normally.
Now, I can get back to writing the actual fic! I just really wanted to sketch this out after doing that little doodle the other day.

Almost done with the lineup chart for what's going to be a megapost on their mutations in comparison to Verdugo and Pesanta and why they are the way they are TM. I just wanted to post this because I put a LOT of time and effort into the details and I was super proud of it!
Also love how Ashley's just not having a great time TM and every time I look at Leon he's progressively more exhausted.

one thing i rlly like about your plaga leon au is that you actually give a realistic and in character reason for it to happen. it makes sense and it’s compelling. a lot of those aus don’t have as much thought put into them besides “leon’s basically a verdugo now” which just leaves more annoying questions. like what happened to ashley? did the cult’s plan work? what about ada, or krauser? nobody thinks of that they just want leon to have mandibles and kiss luis. that’s fine in art but when constructing a world you need more than that lol anyway this is half a rant and half praise of you 🩵
One thing about me personally is even if I write au stuff, I Want and Need it to be possible within the realm of canon as far as "Does this logically work within the limitations of the story the canon is trying to tell/work within the lore" and "Does this actually work for a character and match up with their motivations and ideals?" I will never do something Solely for the sake of shipping, even if it might look fun.
The whole point of why I (and Claire and Ethan) went with the plaga au in the first place is because A. It's just fun to see what an impact that would have on the rest of Leon's story and what unique challenges it presents for him in the future, B. It does actually give an explanation as to how he manages to survive so much stuff in 4 because he's got something biological on his side and thus helps him to save Ashley with some more ease, and C. Leon has a track record history of letting himself get hurt or putting himself in more danger if it means keeping other people safe. So writing out the exact plaga we gave him and that motivation for actually taking it on for himself Makes Sense within the realm of sticking to his usual motives and such.
Ever with the au changes we made because of the remake, the biggest part of why Leon takes on the plaga is Because he's trying to save Ashley. It isn't about Him, it's about what will give her the best chance of survival, his own future consequences be damned. If this time can be different, if he can actually manage to save Ashley and get her home safe and remover her parasite in time, then whatever sacrifices he makes are worth it to him, and that's in line with everything we ever see him do. He takes those risks Very frequently, like a good example being the opening of 6 where he tells Helena they're making time to save that one guy's daughter even tho it's in vain in the end. He knows he wouldn't be able to live with more loss on his conscience if he refused to help.
I have seen a few au's that do take this kinda stuff into account, like @polarspaz's stuff has Leon take on a prototype of Luis's work because the stress of fighting has made his Plaga develop faster, and taking the prototype means he'll be mutated but regain control of himself without the hallucinations and the hivemind stuff, so that also increases his chances of getting Ashley home safe and allows him to save Luis later on as well. @alvivaarts also has an au fic, Simulation Swarm, that I've been reading on and off where Leon and Ashley both get their plagas removed but because it was so late stage in the game, they Both still end up with some permanent mutations that Luis is trying to research how to reverse for them, and it basically becomes a group effort kinda thing to look out for each other after the worlds turned on them.
So like, there IS ways to do this au that you can still have your fun while actually making it Work in universe y'know? And without throwing Ashley out with the trash because if there's anythng that infuriates me more is when people just make these au's and then don't include her in it at all. That shit makes me so mad when she's so central to the entire story and would absolutely be tied up in any decisions Leon makes during the course of 4. If it's not to the benefit of trying to get them both to safety then Why would he do it in the first place y'know?? She's important to him, he's not going to discard her like that.
Anyways that's more of a long winded answer than I meant to give but anytime you ask me about this au I will take it as a chance to go off on a tangent ~
