Eddie blinks his eyes a couple of times to make sure he is actually seeing what he is seeing. He must be living in a nightmare.

You're laying back on one of the pool loungers. One leg dangling over the edge keeping your foot on the warm cement ground, the other spread over Steve's lap as he absently rubs his hand up and down it while he bitches to you about something from work. Your hand rubs up and down Steve's back in comfort. But that isn't the nightmare.

Your bright red bikini bottoms covering enough, but with your legs spread a bit more skin is shown then intended. Spread in such a way that makes Eddie want to just dive in. Get on his knees and worship you, rub his face over your mound as he licks and nips and sucks. Moan as the curly thatch of hair brushes against his face.

Except the curls of hair he is expecting to see peeking around your bikini are gone. Just smooth bare skin. And that isn't the only nightmare. Steve's chest is smooth like when he was in school on the swim team. Not a speck of that beautiful chest hair Eddie would curl into after getting hot and heavy. Not a single curl of the "love rug" he jokingly called it.

Eddie can barely speak as he walks over and sits next to Steve. He doesn't respond to Steve's warm greeting. Doesn't respond to you asking how the day is. Just stares with big wet eyes at the sight in front of him. A pout on his lips.

A warm hand lands on his shoulder, gently squeezing. Steve's brow furrowed in concern, your wide eyes blinking at him.

"Shaved?" Eddie asks in a quiet voice, eyes darting to Steve's chest and then your clothed pussy. Steve lets out a huff of laughter, "Fuck, thought something was wrong man." Eddie glares," It is."

Yadda yadda yadda jinx is generally seen as a loose canon, does whatever she wants type of character, totally unpredictable. When in actuality, up until the last few episodes all of her choices and actions r motivated by wanting to please someone else. Hell. Even in the last couple episodes, the very Last thing we see her doing is ENTIRELY MOTIVATED by devotion and love and grief for silco, she’s taking out her frustration at herself and the world, and also honoring his wishes and dreams. By shooting a fucking bomb at piltover, she’s ensuring his life wasn’t in vain, she’s honoring him. In that moment

Her entire, self!!! is centered around love and loyalty. Is centered around other people, She’s motivated by an insatiable urge to prove herself, to be useful to those she loves, to show that she can help them and be there for them and be WORTHY of there love. That they haven’t made a mistake in loving her. To prove that she can be as pivotal to them as they r for her. She goes to the ends of the fucking earth to do this. And it ends. Terribly.

She puts the people she loves on pedestals and supplicates at there feet, she has no motivations most of the show outside of making the people she loves happy… she yearns for connection and love and safety. For a home that will never leave her behind, or crumble under her feet, (an indestructible home, That she can’t destroy just by being her…)

Which is why.. it’s so. Interesting and intriguing. How now, she has no one on that pedestal to worship, no one to drag sacrifices and offerings to the feet of, no one to spiral around and build herself off of. She is a person so *affected* by her relationships w others, but there is no relationship now, no one is stepping up to the plate to love her. She’s too much. For anyone. The one person who seemed to have unlimited patience for her is dead, because of her. and maybe vi could still love her.. but. She’s already soured that relationship. Already broken that one too. Broken all her favorite toys that made her so happy. That were there for her. And scared all the rest away. (There is a limit to what vi can support and forgive to reconnect w her sister. And I believe terrorism is crossing that limit ghgh)

And maybe, jinx is cutting that part of herself out on purpose. To be stronger, she’s realized she just. Isn’t made for love. That she ruins it all in the end. That it just makes everything worse. Messier. More complicated. She’s better off on her own, but for what PURPOSE! Who will she be now! What choices will she make!?! Almost all of her actions in the show were for others, what is driving her now, now that she has this gaping void at the center of her being. Where love used to be… what kind of person will she become, Without a guide to follow… a sun to orbit around. it’s sad honestly ghghg-!!! like yeah it’s not healthy that she is this way but there’s no THERAPY IN ARCANE. THIS IS THE WAY SHE IS! And now. She’s alone… it’s rough. But also intriguing…!! And I honestly have no clue how she’s gonna act in season 2,,, or what sorta shit she’s gonna get up to. but I’m excited.

A warm spring sunrise over English countryside landscape, featuring two lovely ladies out for an early morning stroll.

While @clydethistles Regency-period-Jane-Austen-inspired AU (Austen AU for short) Affections And Adorations did not feature any scene at sunrise, the moment I saw this photo of English countryside my mind was immediately overcome with the need to see Tissaia and Yennefer from Clyde's story over that backdrop. I can use buzzwords like mutual pining and it's about the yearning to describe the story but then it would be undermining for such a lovely work, and undoubtedly one of my favourite fics of all time. I am forever in awe at the research and thoughtfulness Clyde put into crafting it, be it either in form of the details about everyday life from the time period or of the language of the narration and conversation, be it either manifested as the graceful incorporation of Austen-esque storytelling elements and archetypes or as our author's very own endeavour to write a heart-wrenching queer love story realistic for and true to its historical period setting.

The point is: the fic was completed quite recently and you should read it, or catch up with it if you haven't, you definitely should, thank me later.

The Pain is Different

Y'all know me, at this point, I should probably be running for the President of the "Club Hurt Sam Winchester" (does this exist?).. Other Jared Characters' hurt is just seem like an extension of that club.

It occurred to me Jared's portrayal of physical pain is quite different across different characters played by him. Of course, it wouldn't be right to compare one character's pain to the other because the methods of inflicting pain and the suffering that follows will be like comparing apples to oranges. So for the sake of this post, I have only used gifs that show humans as the torturer and with mostly similar methods or methods that are likely to cause similar level of pain on a pain scale (is there a scale?):

Sam Winchester, Supernatural: Out of all the characters played by Jared, Sam is the one who suffered the most and should have the highest tolerance/threshold against pain. He was tortured by the Devil in the cage, in Hell so it doesn't take a genius to guess all the creative ways he must have suffered. Sam's pain is raw and goes deeper than the physical plane of pain itself. When you look at Sam during these moments, his pain comes from within because there is always a display of emotional turmoil along with physical torment. I guess, this is why seeing Sam in pain feels like a knife twisting in your heart. To keep the comparison fair with the other characters, the GIF used is the one where Cole Trenton tortures him to get intel on Dean. The method is what one might use in an advanced interrogation technique but you can clearly see that emotional hurt and anger flashing through his face despite all of John's training. Sam suffers with his heart on his sleeve.

Cordell Walker, Walker: Cordell's pain outlet is purely physical. I guess, this mostly comes from him being professionally trained to handle such situations. He is trained to turn off the emotional unrest which is why there is a stark difference in the way Cordell responds to the torture versus how his brother Liam does at the start of season 3. Cordell has a game face on and there is no room for emotions to give in to his enemies' demands. He goes as far as to mention that they will not succeed in breaking him through physical pain which is why Liam was brought in in the first place. Despite that, we don't see Cordell falling apart because he does not suffer through pain with his emotions on his sleeves like Sam does.

Wade Felton, House of Wax: Again for this one, I had to take the shot where Vincent cuts through his Achilles heel because after that Wade is heavily sedated to be pliant and his response to pain is subdued as a result of the same. Now, Wade's pain is unfiltered because he is simply a kid who unfortunately got caught in the wrong place, at the wrong time and among the wrong people. There is no heroism in his suffering. He is squealing, crying and hurting, crawling away, terrified, scared and begging for mercy. There are no hero shots. He is just another victim and probably gives his tormentor the same satisfaction of being a whimpering mess as others have.

I skipped Friday the 13th because there is not enough opportunity to demonstrate Clay's suffering and none of the other characters played by Jared have suffered so much physical pain. But, among the above three characters, it was fascinating to see how vividly different the response to pain was.

If you want an actual answer though haha, I've decided it's best left to the imagination. Like I think it would be actively detrimental to the story if I wrote it out word for word. Sometimes part of writing is knowing what to flesh out and what to not.

I don't think it would be a confession, though.

I think Sampo has a hilariously hard time laying himself bare, even though he LOVES getting attention from Gepard. For being a personal letter, it probably doesn't get TOO personal, and the only reason Sampo would leave such a thing behind for him at all is on the off chance he'll never see him again. I think it would take a pretty extreme circumstance, like death, to make Sampo be honest. But then, what does honesty matter at that point? Is it worth it, will it only make it worse? Does it change anything? Sampo will still be dead and gone. Gepard will still be left behind. Does Sampo want Gepard to know anything? I'm not sure he would.

(That said, it does make for a good scene, doesn't it? Gepard pokes through the safehouse, and he finds the beat up metal box, full of letters. He sees one with his name. And he slowly sinks onto the bed, carefully pulls it open.

The letter is still never shown. But it's not the words that are important.

It's the way that Gepard holds it tight between his fingers, realizes that he's creasing the paper, then urgently smooths it out again. It's the way that every successive sentence makes his breath stutter. It's the way he gets to the end of the page and is suddenly so, so exhausted that he sits curled over the letter, heart too heavy to hold until it's unbearable weight bowed his back.

And finally, Gepard drags himself up. Sighs all the air out of his lungs. He grabs the box, and he makes his solitary march back to Belobog.)

((When he returns, he reports straight to Bronya, and shows her what he found. Bronya notices that there's only one letter in there with Gepard's name, one with nothing but detailed instructions, and she elects not to say anything. She doesn't want to rub salt in the wound, especially not one so fresh.

She completely misses that Gepard has kept the second letter separate, tucked away in his armored coat, in the inside pocket against his chest.))
