Zoommates seemed to be a bit of a comfort for people during covid, including me, which was unexpected when I started it. Writing about that damn virus was not what I wanted to do, but it was oddly comforting.

I couldn't remember what Zoommates was actually called because I always think of it as Zoommates. It's Do you feel like I feel (or am I all alone?) 😂

The unicorn one is The hour of hush and wonder, which was written from a prompt by @novak-fan about Tissaia giving Yen something for her birthday and I couldn't for the life of me think what you could give a powerful sorceress for her birthday. Answer - unicorns!

This fic is one of my *favourite* fics, for the - decidedly book!canon Tissaia/Margarita, I’ll have you know - and this is art is sublime and so true to the feeling of the writing. Go read the story if you’ve not already. Bring tissue and something soft to hug.

💜 What is the most heart wrenching passage you've ever written?

This is such a hard question to answer, because I feel like… I don’t know 🙈 I feel like when I write, I don’t write anything to intentionally be heartbreaking? I just write, and hope that the emotion comes through. But I do remember writing that last line of “please stay”, the “finally”, and thinking that people would probably hate me for it 🙈🙈 I also know what I was feeling when I wrote “if you fall, I will catch you”, but I don’t think it came through as heartwrenching, per se? Maybe just depressing. Oops. I’d be curious to know what you all think my most heartwrenching line/passage is, though 👀🙈

🤌 What is your best fan fiction you've ever written in your opinion?

There’s absolutely no way to answer this without sounding horribly narcissistic… but I do adore “if you fall, I will catch you” 🙈 I’m so proud of it and I feel so fiercely protective of it. It’s like a little piece of my heart on paper. BUT— that being said, I think I’m also really proud of “grow to need me there” because it was completely different than anything I’d ever written up to that point, it was a little out of my comfort zone, and I was really happy with how it turned out. I feel like I really surprised myself with that one, and even though it’s definitely not super popular, I’m still very pleased with it, all these years later.

My typeset for one of my favourite fics of all time, The Sea That Calls All Things Unto Her Calls Me by ClydeThistles, with illustrations by ehay.

It's a selkie AU in the Witcher fandom, and I had SO much fun bringing celtic mythology and ocean vibes to this typeset, mainly via the font for the titles and the little sea shell section breaks (aka dinkuses!).

There's also a section in the fic that functions as a scholarly text on selkies, and I went ahead and put it in a nice old-timey font to give it the proper feel.

This typeset is also where I finally figured out a way to include chapter notes and summaries that I like!

(Note: if the margins look a little wonky, it's because there were some issues with the inclusion of two-page spread images. I'm not showing them on purpose here because they're a pain in the ass and l'd prefer not to do them for my FTH typeset - I CAN promise I'll do a better job on your margins, though. :D)
