༻ I see her love language also being words of affirmation! Giving as well as receiving. In a group, she’s the one who builds up the rest of the team’s esteem with encouraging words and the prowess of her own spirit alone.

༻ Though it’s not always easy keep up, even for someone as bright and uplifting as her. She’s a pillar for most, but still has her own burdens and moments of self-doubt. It would be good to have someone who could comfort her when she’s feeling down. And not just physically, but emotionally, with empathy and understanding.

༻ As much as she loves Octane, he absolutely does not have the interpersonal skills for things like that. So it’s a very good thing she has an s/o who does.

༻ Your words are needed when conflicts with her parents weigh on her most. Times where her self image and individuality feel overpowered by her family name and reputation. She worries if no matter what she does, people will never see her for who she is, or fully trust her to be the golden-hearted provider she is.

༻ “Some people might have their own assumptions about you, but I promise you what you do, and the amount of people you help, always outshines all of that. ༻ For her, I see words of affirmation usually coming in the form of compliments. They make her blush like crazy but she’ll always excitedly return your kind words. Loves to add a big hug with that, and or a cute pun.

༻ “Thank you, my sweetheart. You have a way of… amping my heart, you know? I’m always… ec-static to be around you.”

༻ It’s rare for her to be feeling super down. She already has a huge support system with the other legends, so it’s been a while since she last felt as though any heavy burden was really weighing on her shoulders. But when she does feel that way every once in a while, and the legends can’t help because of how bad she feels, it’s typically when she’s reminiscing on the loss of her father.

༻ She will always miss him more than anything, and wonders if he would’ve been proud of her and her accomplishments. She’s accomplished amazing things, anyone would agree, but it’s hard for her to take it in. Especially because her biggest supporter and inspiration is not physically there to congratulate her.

༻ “Of course he’s proud of you, Nat. Very proud of you, wherever he is. You have such an amazing, innovative mind. How could he not be? He may not be here, but he will always be a part of you.”

༻ Dear is still learning more social skills by the day. So words of affirmation are especially great at letting her know she’s doing well adjusting to being around other people. While she isn’t adamant on “fitting in” in any particular way, she does want to be able to socialize and learn about other people.

༻ “You did great today!”

༻ “Thank you… dear!” She also occasionally tries her shot at pet names.

༻ Blushes and struggles to hold back a smile when you encourage her along with a kiss on the cheek. She found her body’s natural reaction weird at first (“What did you do to me? My face is burning—”), but has gotten more used to it.

༻ Words of affirmation also help when she’s stressed about her mother’s framing. She’s always worried that she’s not doing enough, or that she might not ever be able to free her mom.

༻ “You’re doing everything you can, Mara. The fight hasn’t ended yet. Your mom ismstrong, you’re strong, and I know you—we— can figure this out.”

༻ Likes to try and give you words of affirmation as well. “Don’t worry about it—” she pauses to think of a pet name, “Honey. You’re awesome! Anyone who says otherwise is probably weak and very easy to kill. Their words are their only defense. All bark and no bite— I think the saying goes.”

OCTANE X FEM!READER , HEADCANONS + SHORT FIC :)

🛸 HEADCANON LIST:

1. Octane would always make sure that you feel happy. Always trying to think of the best ideas when he's around you. He might not care about safety tho! So make sure that before going out on a date with him you will check if it won't kill you.

Once he actually wanted to go and do DIY bungee jumping off of one of the high bridges and you stopped him last second before disaster. He was actually convinced that his hand-made harness was safe enough to hold his wholy body weight.

He also forgot about what would happen after you both jump...Because...Who would pull you up back on the bridge?

2. First person to know about his feelings towards you was suprisingly not Lifeline (he trusted her but he was 100% sure that she'd try to convince him that it was not a good idea to date you since he could ruin your life with his personality and addictions) so he told that to...Wattson. She was so happy to help him ask you out but it was a big disaster.

3. He barely sleeps but when he's cuddling with you - he always gets sleepy really fast! Give him two minutes of back rubs and he's sleeping like a baby. He also prefers to be a big spoon, he uses you like a big pillow he can hug and that makes him feel warm. [He detaches his legs when he's laying on a couch, but sometimes he forgets about it and sleeps with them on, which leads to a cold metal touching your legs in the middle of the nights]

4. He lives in social media so your relationship would be shown to all of his fans. He'd also make sure that everyone knows that you're taken. Octane might not get jealous easily but he's also not a cheater, he is loyal and he wants you to be loyal as well.

5. Octavio is the best at making surprises. He'd give you lots of gifts no matter if there would be a special occasion or not, he'd love to give you small things like sweet treats, bottles of your favorite drinks, but sometimes he'd just come to you and give you a really expensive figurine of your favorite characters and he'd be like "whoops! I might've spent some money on it...But at least youre happy, right, chica?".

HOLD ME TIGHT, PLEASE

Octavio was known for always being in a rush, running around, stimming, he couldn't sit in one place for long. You were unique, quiet, and you had all the earmarks of being the specific inverse of him. Your first meeting might not have been perfect, well, it was, in fact, a mess because Octane, for the first time in his life, was speechless. Couldn't keep his eyes off of you, not uttering a word, simply seeming to be a weirdo. Ajay had to physically move him away because he started to get overly energetic, playing with his fingers, not being sure what to do. He was just stunned, and you were too embarrassed to even think about it.

Time passed, and with that you and Octane grew closer and closer. When he discovered the fact that you enjoy the same games and activities as him - he almost proposed to you on the spot, but back then you weren't even together yet. The only thing you shared were slight, delicate touches, soft glances and quality time. Hours you spent in his room, having fun, feeling happier than ever. And he felt like for the first time in his whole life - someone understood him. Oh, how could he not love you?

So, with the help from Wattson he was finally able to confess. It was a mess, as I mentioned before, because nothing went as planned, but that only made his heart race faster, and we all know that he loved that. His cheeks were flushed, he was not sure what his body was doing, but when you walked out of your room, all pretty and in best clothes you could find, all the plans, all the things he wanted to say to you were gone. You took over his mind so easily, it was almost scary. If only you knew how much power you had… He'd do anything you asked him to, and more.

⎯⎯⎯⎯  Oh, muñeca, you look…incredible!⎯⎯⎯⎯  He whispered after a moment of silence. He grabbed your hand and pulled harshly, almost making you fall, but you managed to stay on your feet. You didn't know where he was heading, and if he had to be honest - he was also unsure of your destination. The only thing he knew was that Natalie had found this place, and it was supposed to be great. Well, everything was great when it was with you, at least that's what he thought.

Everything was beautiful. The streets he ran across, his laugh, the softness of his skin. Everything glowed on its own. And you smiled, surrounded by that beauty, even though you weren't surrounded by anything special. Everything was beautiful. Not that there was anyone to share it with except Octavio, anyone to tell. Just the beauty that was bright and worth remembering.

And Octavio couldn't wait, he was impatient, so to make sure you wouldn't run away from him, he hugged you tightly. He took off his mask when you didn't look, and then sighed when you wanted to ask what was going on. ⎯⎯⎯⎯ Shh, I just… I don't know how to tell you that, but… You make me the happiest man alive, and… I don't want to loose you if you don't feel the same. Can you please hold me tight so I can at least feel… Your warmth for the last time, if that is the last time we talk? ⎯⎯⎯⎯  That confession was rushed because Octane was not the one to wait and be elegant.

You didn't understand what he tried to say, you actually didn't understand anything because he was speaking so fast. ⎯⎯⎯⎯ So what you're trying to say is… ⎯⎯⎯⎯  you started, but got interrupted once again.

⎯⎯⎯⎯  Hold me. Please. ⎯⎯⎯⎯  he asked, his voice close to breaking. And so you did, your arms around him felt so right, like they belonged there, and the cheap perfume he decided to wear on this special occasion seemed just enough to make you feel safe and good.

⎯⎯⎯⎯  What I tried to say is that… I love you. I can't get enough of you, and I don't know if I can even live without you. I cannot make any promises to you as the world may as well end tomorrow, however, this love is my drug. If I could, I'd spend whole days with you by my side, you know? I hope I don't sound like too much of a psycho, ha? ⎯⎯⎯⎯  He giggled, not letting you go, waiting for a response, and trying to mentally prepare himself for rejection. You could feel that weird feeling in your stomach, and the heart that was bumping so fast that it was almost insane. Shallow breaths and sweat on your palms that you tried to ignore.

⎯⎯⎯⎯  Oh, shut up you stupid man and just kiss me… ⎯⎯⎯⎯  you replied, and then a moment of silence stepped in between you. Octane was ready for dismissal, yet nobody set him up for a cheerful closure, so he was simply remaining there like a robot whose program had quit working.

You looked up and met his eyes, which were shining, happily. And a kiss on the lips that he shared with you was the closest thing to heaven you ever experienced.

i recently started playing rdr2 cause im visiting family that has it (theres actually been a lot of funny stories being on an unfamiliar console, like playing 22+ hours and reaching chap 2 without knowing how to save.. and i didnt know how to tell arthurs weight so i kept him underweight for so long my poor starving man </3) after playing rdr1 quite a bit. i also vibed with john hard in 1 but i lowkey thought he was an angsty young adult in rdr2 and not a FATHER. my favs are arthur and javier tho i can barely see the latter cause where tf is he on the map?? same with charles where IS HE??? but anyways i also vibe so hard with kieran.

tho i could talk forever about my interests, other than that for personality: id describe myself as actually kinda confident around strangers, i love to compliment ppl i come across. for friends, much of the same, i like using improv as humor if that makes sense, ive been told im easy to talk to, i consider myself intuitive (also contributed to me being a tarot reader i believe), but i am the type to have a veeerryy hard time expressing negative feelings im having, and never crying in front of people, so no shortage of bottling emotions. im also rather rigid on cleanliness and WILL start tweaking if me/my space goes too long w/o cleaning. i really, really care about people (i would want to be a paramedic!! if my body could allow it..) and i so want to make peoples lives better!! but also can rather easily stop people from walking over me, should they try. i care about kids a lot, and get very peeved when other ppl dont know how kids brains work and mistreat them because of such, and cause they just have no respect for children. honestly with thinking like.. about formulating matchmaking requests i never really seem to think about what id want out of a person. honestly, just when someone cares (wow, such high standards) but should the time come, mmmost times im not afraid to make a selfish ask. most. maybe. sometimes. and im very, very empathetic and it SUCKS i take psychic damage every time someone even remotely, even HYPOTHETICALLY feels bad. this is not a virtue.

for hobbies, i like to play video games as you may have guessed, i also like to read (non fiction, classic lit and danmeis especially), make art of all kinds but mainly physical sketches, and im always looking to add more shows/movies to my watched list.

i love to visit restaurants and cafes and interesting places surrounding food!!! my idea of a good time is eating with people, even if its in a crappy chuck e cheese. i love to try new foods (but it's a bit hard since becoming vegetarian), and i love matcha! i also love visiting just interesting places in general. why go to disney when you can see a beautiful spot in nature, or an art exhibit, or a park, or just the lively downtown? but other than that, i love my dedicated space 💗

i dont like rude people. mean people. people mean to kids and animals. bigots. assholes. any synonym for that. but honestly, not much else. there are other things that sure tick me off but can be pretty easily taken care of or compromised for.

Well, I need to be honest with you, I believe that despite your strenght, REVENANT would just make fun of your disability, he would NOT care at all, he'd probably pick on you and be REALLY rude. I hope it's not offensive (i'm sorry if i'm insensitive, it's not my intention), but I know he'd want to offend you. You could actually have a good hate-ship (if you know what i mean), where the only thing you guys do is fight with each other but I don't think that's what you want.

Can you see what is happening on his floor? This guy would probably drive you insane with how messy he is and I know he wouldn't care if you tried to ask him to clean it up... It would probably lead to many arguments and fights between you :(

I have this feeling that Loba would see you as an easy target to manipulate, she'd think that she could use you after seeing that you feel really bad when someone feels bad, so she'd probably talk about her past a lot around you - trying to make you feel like you need to help her with everything. I doubt that it could work out :( I hope you see my vision and I'm not weirdly delusional with my ideas.

BUT NOW FOR A RESULT... (NGL I HAD A BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS ONE SINCE YOU SEEM TO BE A GOOD MATCH FOR AT LEAST 2 LEGENDS, BUT I DECIDED TO PICK...)

VANTAGE

I feel like you and Vantage could have a really good relationship! You both seem to aim high with your ideals and I just think that you both are really empathetic, a little bit emotional even... You share the love for animals. She has her Echo and she'd probably die for him. Vantage would never let any animal be mistreated when she's watching.

She seems to be a big fan of nature and she is an explorer. Born on a cold planet where everything wanted to kill her, she knows that nature can both be beautiful and deadly. She is also really nice, and I think that when she gets closer to someone, she actually CARES, like...A LOT. You'd probably be treated really well. I think that Vantage would be really patient when it comes to you and expressing your feelings, she'd never let you just walk away if she saw that you were upset, I think that communication and trust is a priority in every relationship.

She'd listen to you when you tell her that you have chronic pain and she'd do exactly the things you ask her to do, always trying her best to help you and she'd make sure you're not pushing yourself too hard.
