Swing is so cute! E took one of the bird legs and buckled it into the carrier so in case he dropped it, it wouldn't go far.

"I think I saw it too, but it was a top prize at the watershoot game, so you can only get it if it was fully seated...." She looked over and noticed more notifications suddenly sitting down for a match. There were two seats left!

"Did you want to try with me? We have double the chances!"

There are a total of 8 seats. Each individual will roll aD20 with the winner having a nat 20 or rolling the highest. One seat is already taken by Aspen with a +5 modifier. E does not have a modifier. Ratsoh, for the other 5 seats you can choose random npcs with low or no modifiers, or you can roll the wheel and place a modifier you think is appropriate. It is a moving target.))))

Briar (not Aspen, lol) continued to take photos as Finn approached the shore. He looked so happy! He looked really in his element and looked really good in the sunlight and looked.... Like he was coming this way. She quickly lowered the phone that was obviously in camera mode.

For a moment at Finn's compliment, they looked behind them, thinking it was for intended for someone else. Nobody was there, and for a small moment they pursed their lips to hide a smile and shyly hunched their shoulders. "Ah, thank you, you look.... Nice, too." Smooth.

She quickly jumped to the next topic. "Yes, sure...." Briar leaves over and close to Finn so her shoulders blocked the sunlight on the screen. They quickly went back to the first photo in the folder (she makes folders for days of photos like a bookkeeping nerd) and displays a nice shot of Finn and his team riding the wave with a pretty skyline behind them. A few nice far away shots, but as the photos zoomed in closer to Finn specifically. A few were fuzzy as she wasn't familiar with action shots, but most of them came out well. Especially the one focusing on Finn coming out of the water, dripping in the sun-- wait this looks weird.

"I was going to send them to you!" She quickly clarified.

Pop: heck yea!! Let’s go!

He quickly signs you and him up to fill the last two seats. The six other players (including Aspen) are three teens, a gyftrot in a wheel chair, a lizfolk and a river monster.

Pop readies his gun at a target waiting for the bell to signal the start and…

He shoots!

He misses terribly! Oh no!! (Despite getting a +2 for decent aim, he rolled a 3 on this. Big fail.

The teens all manage fine, filling half of their targets (rolled a 12, no modifier), the lizfolk somehow drops his gun and it soaks his socks and shoes (natural 1), and the river monster has almost filled her target completely (15 +2, so a 17).

He gushes some more about the good action shots and jaybirds happy grin before moving on. He has to supervise the scouts now as they’re scaling the fish, but he can chat if briar comes with him

buttercup and sid spent the day baking cookies and watching christmas movies, and now bee's bundled up in a blanket, eating cookies and watching nate's game. maverick the cat is running around the house as sid uses the laser pointer to play with him. bee's waiting for him to get over his zoomies so that she can cuddle him.

peanut spent the day with her dad, watching christmas movies and bluey episodes, and playing with felix the dog. they made nutella hot chocolate for snack and loaded marshmallows on top of it. she sat in her dad's lap as he played video games with some of the boys, before insisting on watching more christmas movies.

delilah and matty woke up early and headed to pantherfest with the team. matty carried lilah in, and she almost fell asleep again, but he bought her some cotton candy which they shared. a lot of fans were excited to talk to her, and she played some 1v1 watershooter games with the other team members and fans who'd visited. after that, her and matty went home to make dinner and have a movie night.

2023 is the Year of the rabbit alright 🙃

MULTIPLE apple trees in the orchard have major branches heavily girdled and buds stripped from ravenous rabbits this winter. I'm beginning to consider the option of hunting/eating wild rabbit as a way to do population control- meat's expensive in this economy anyhow.

This photo is from early April, I would've photographed the damage more recently (since snow is gone and the meltwater's dried off) but easter weekend I went to town on the orchard and pruned well over half the orchard, removing girdled branches on top of the scheduled branch thinning and watershoot removal.

Only 3 fruit trees left for pruning (Pewaukee apple on removal of rootstalk tree takeover, and then tearing down TOWERING vertical branches off of Tolman Sweet and it's noid neighbor) but with field seeding looming over the horizon and my pruning hand seizing up from nonstop power pruning I may not get all 3 done in time since I need to give that hand a rest.

Still impressed to have gotten through so many trees in so little time.
