AN: back on my demon slayer bs <3 thanks for the request mwah
GIYUU
okay so i think Giyuu is naturally cold as well
i mean cmon… he’s the water hashira
and yk how natural rivers are usually cold bc of the running water??
his breathing style is literally running water
u picking up what im putting down? okay good
so he’s naturally cold
and ur naturally cold
this is both a good and a bad thing
good because he doesn’t mind when you put ur cold feet on him at night when ur cuddling
which is a major slay^
but it’s bad because homie has no body heat to share with you
he physically cannot use his own body to warm u up
but that doesn’t mean he won’t try!!
mans sees you rubbing your hands together to warm them up?
he’s covering your hands with his and rubbing his thumbs over the back of your hand
maybe laying a sweet kiss on your pulse point too if ur lucky
our pretty blue eyed boy sees you shivering?
here he is coming to pull you close to him and cover you both up with a blanket
honestly i think he uses your natural body temp as an excuse to be affectionate
OOOOOOO
yk what else?
he stocks up on whatever your favorite hot beverage is
you like hot chocolate?
he is making it for you from SCRATCH
with marshmallows and whip cream and everything
coffee?
oh he’s already got a pot of coffee brewing before you have to ask
tea?
it’s already in a cup and in your hand before you have to open your mouth to say anything
yeah i love this awkward man baby

Hiiii I wanted to ask if I could get a nude sending fanfic cause I rarely see any like Giyuu x reader sending nudes please!! I would be on my knees begging 😞
:・゚✧:・゚
PHOTOS
c/w: suggestive / smut ,, subtle masturbation, sending nudes, established relationship
a/n: ok slut nation. i lied. there was no sanemi snippet. I WAS TIRED!!! and it was my birthday on the 20th, so sorry 4 the late post!
An unexpected notification in the midst of silence. Giyuu glances upwards, along his phone, pleased to see your note.
You and Tomioka had recently engaged in a long-distance romance, whilst you had traveled to visit family. Despite the physical distance, the connection with Giyuu stood tightly, as you both took effort to communicate regularly. The prospect of rejoining swelled his heart with delight.
He swiftly taps the rectangular frame of the notification, opening your conversation.
Your intimacy was potent, with many rekindling sceneries of passion within the sheets. This distance had interrupted their romantic endeavors, which rationally irked you both.
You missed one another- both sensually yet emotionally. You wanted little else than to relive those driven moments again.
Your ravenous instincts had triumphed across your thoughts, and you had craved the surge of dopamine that Giyuu delivered.
He was surprised, as he witnessed the content you had sent.
In the dank silence of his room, with his phone a single dimly lit source of light, an energy of lust envelopes his senses, as he gazes at your picture.
His mind becomes graphic, with erotic detail, as he stares at your nude body. His eyes trail over, his thoughts recalling the sensation of your physique whilst you had been together.
He watches your breast, your delicate nipple pointed. The curved shape of your ass, the soft plush of your skin addictive to knead.
His eyes scanned over your text, as you detailed how you had missed him. He knew.
His cheeks tinge in color, as his shaft begins to thicken within the soft fabric of his sweatpants.
His hands carefully trail to his stiffening bulge, palming and caressing in a forlorn attempt to relieve himself. His brows knit closely, as his breath began to stream in uneven layers.
You'd caused something to him. You struck him harshly. You always could. It was the influence you had over him. Despite his best initiatives, he could never withstand your effect. Your impact on him was undeniable and yet so pleasurable.
He gently tugs on the waistband of his clothing, allowing his cock to spring upwards eagerly.
He needed to show your lasting effects on him.
He holds the base of his shaft, his lips quivering as his fingertips grasp the pulsing veins of his eager dick.
Angling his phone near it, he captures a picture of his spilling shaft, illustrating its eager state.
He promptly sends it to you, as he had clarified how much he misses you. Needs you.
He expresses a longing for your presence, desiring deeply, lecherously, to see you once more. His message conveys an urgent desire for your company.
And God, he couldn’t wait to feel your cunt around him again.
To watch your gentle face retort in thrill as he would please you over and over, endlessly.
It tortured him.

"𝐌𝐘 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑"
𝘨𝘪𝘺𝘶 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘰𝘬𝘢
*:・゚✧ in which, Giyu almost died and is afraid to rest without knowing whether or not you would still love him if he had passed away. He doesn't want you to forget him and he wants you to know that he loves you more than he thought he ever could.
━━━━°⌜ 鬼滅の刃 ⌟°━━━━
Giyu never thought that he was afraid to die. Heck, he never had been, never even considered it. After all, wasn't it just the natural order of things to die after living?
So what was the point in trying to avoid it? Death was inevitable.
At least that's what he had kept telling himself. But ever since he met you, it's been rather difficult to understand anything in a reasonable light.
He fell for you the moment that he set his eyes on you, unknowingly setting himself up for failure. Giving up his thoughts to the hands of a woman, that was dangerous, wasn't it?
You were a Hashira and you kept yourself so undetected that barely anyone even knew you.
When he first noticed you, his intentions weren't to be rude when he had asked who you were. For some reason, he was desperate to know you, like it was something he needed.
He only received a small smile and later he realized that you had been a Hashira for almost ten years... You had been a Hashira before he was even a demon slayer.
Apparently you didn't mind that he didn't know, or that he was the only Hashira to know you were alive at the moment.
Apparently this had happened multiple times where you would be in a room with everyone else and listen in without actually conversing or interacting with the others.
Apparently, you stood next to him every single meeting with the master. And he hadn't even noticed. Not once.
How? If you were always there, how come he didn't feel any sort of familiarity around you?
He felt guilty, like he didn't know what to do.
And yet here he was, watching as you sat down under a cherry blossom tree at your estate. You were just closing your eyes as if you were reminiscing in the quiet, nostalgic peace.
He was so confused, but intrigued at the same time.
He had even asked the other Hashira and demon slayers, trying to figure more about you. He just assumed that not knowing you was the unhealthy habit he had of shutting people out.
Only, he got answers that confused him even more, answers of 'who are you talking about?' Or 'I don't know'. Then Shinobu of course had to make fun of him for such a pretending, after all, it didn't seem like you were even a real person.
No one believed that there was another Hashira, and Giyu forced himself not to bother anyone about it.
Except for the master. Maybe he just saw a ghost too... But he had to be sure.
Kagaya Ubuyashiki knew who you were, thank goodness, it made Giyu feel a lot less crazy. The Master seemed happy about hearing your name come from a Hashira and he spoke about being proud of Giyu for noticing in the first place.
You were a very quiet and reserved person, yet your fighting style involved words. Basically, your breathing technique helped you tap into frequency, which in turn, gave you the power to control frequency and what people heard.
So technically... You had been staying undetected on purpose, using the breathing style to control the frequency your own body gave off as to not alert people of your existence.
Although, you must have slipped up when Giyu noticed you. He's even still baffled about your existence, he has no idea how to go about this.
"Try and get close to her, she's quiet and indifferent, like you. However, she has no one to talk to besides me and my family. She doesn't like to burden people, so she denies company but she needs to find a companion and you happen to be the first Hashira to notice her."
Those were the words that rang in Giyu's ear now. But the question was, how was he supposed to be around you if you were like him?
Even he knew how hard it was to be around himself so how much harder would it be to be around you, especially if you didn't want anyone around you to begin with?
It's not like it was going to stop him... Whether the master had told him to talk to you didn't matter, he would have done it anyway.
"Hello..." Giyu greeted you, feeling uneasy as he approached you.
Your head perked up at the voice, recognizing that the sound was familiar before you saw his face.
Giyu Tomioka, The Water Pillar Hashira. You were pretty sure that he would have forgotten you in due time, but instead he had decided to remember to talk to you again.
All he did in that moment was stand in front of you like a lost dog.
It was almost cute.
Maybe you could afford to indulge him.
"Hi." You finally replied, watching as Giyu decided to sit next to you under the tree.
Giyu seemed nervous, like he didn't want to make a bad impression. At the same time though, he looked like he might smack you if you insulted him.
What a strange look to such a young man.
"... Is your day going well?" He asked, looking ahead of him as he controlled his breathing. He didn't like how strange he felt, he wasn't sure if it was from your breathing technique or from him being so nervous, but he wanted it to stop.
"My day was fine... How about yours?"
"Good... My day was good." Giyu continued, not really sure what else to say.
This was a good way to start a conversation, right?
"Good, that's nice."
"... Your hair looks nice."
He's being very gentlemanly he thinks, that is a good thing when talking to women, right?
"... Thank you..."
"You're welcome."
He doesn't know what to do! Damn it! You weren't making this easy for him, you felt like such a kind and gentle person and he didn't understand you.
Why wouldn't you want to be seen when you look like this? Saying you were pretty was an understatement, you looked so surreal, as if you were from a dream. He can hear in your voice that if he were to have a deep conversation with you, your words would be eloquent.
It would be a treasure just to be considered someone of thought in your mind.
People had their choices, he respected that, however he wanted to get to know you without feeling like he was being so pushy.
"Why are you like this?" Giyu blurted out, finally looking at you with a straight face only to receive a confused glare from you.
"Pardon?"
Oh shit.
"Sorry, I just mean... Well..." Giyu mumbled, trying to find the right words to use. "... Why do you hide yourself from everyone else?"
"... Oh." Was all you said, not answering his question for some time before looking up at the sky.
"I don't... I don't like to cry."
Now you've just confused him even more than before. What would crying have to do with refusing to interact with people? Even with him, he didn't completely disappear.
"... Cry? What do you mean?" He asked, keeping his gaze on your face.
You look so wonderful to him and he wonders how he hadn't seen you before, even with your breathing technique.
"I don't want to get too close to people and have them die because I wasn't strong enough." You start, hoping he would understand. "I don't want anyone to have to cry when I die either. Death only brings pain and familiarity breeds contempt."
"... So you would rather have someone not know you existed than to mourn your death?" Giyu added, noting how much more quiet it got in your company. He had thought about stuff like this before, but clearly you thought about it all the time.
"Yes, I don't like to cry."
For quite some time, the two of you stay quiet, sitting under the tree and enjoying the silence... Well, you were enjoying the silence, Giyu was about to give himself a hernia from thinking too much.
As much as Giyu had taken a liking to you in such a short amount of time, he couldn't decide whether or not to label you as a psycho, a depressed person, or just a hermit.
You were willing to disappear to save yourself pain from others, as if you weren't even alive to begin with. And yet, he didn't understand why you would avoid the inevitable.
"Do you not have anyone?" Giyu spoke again.
"I have our master..." You comment, softly smiling at the thought since the man was someone who had allowed you to be her today. Kagaya was like a father to you.
"Anyone else?"
"... I suppose not."
Giyu stayed quiet again, thinking of something before sighing and standing up.
"Let me then."
"What?" You probed, confused at what he said.
"Let me be that other person."
You watched him as he stood his ground, clearly serious about what he said. He wanted to be around you, to make sure you were okay and he could care less whether it was for selfish reasons that he chose to ask.
"Why? You don't know me."
"I want to know you... Here."
Giyu pulls out a few... Questionable things from his mismatched haori, he seemed to be looking for something specific and it was making you slightly nervous since he shouldn't really be carrying a bunch of rope.
Why did he have that much rope?
Finally he pulls out a small ribbon and starts tying it around his wrist. Why? You have no damn clue.
"Whenever you enter a room that I'm in, you should pull on this, that way I know you're there." He starts, grabbing his other items, including the rope and placing them back in his haori.
"... I... Won't do that, why would I do that?" You continued to argue, scratching the back of your head in slight annoyance. You didn't want him to try so hard, otherwise he wouldn't forget about you.
"Because I want to know when you're around me, so I can be your acquaintance."
"You don't have to worry, I don't feel lonely or anything like that."
"That's fine, I just want to know when you're around."
This stubborn male, his attitude was irking you.
"But-"
"I insist... I will not try to force you to be different in the way you hide yourself, but I won't make you cry, I would like to at least be a companion for you to talk to."
For some reason his words made you feel warm, like he truly meant them. You didn't know why he wanted that, but it was sweet. Just scary at the same time. You weren't sure if you liked it or not but as far as you were concerned, this was something that you shouldn't allow.
After all, he might die and then you might end up crying. Or the other way around... You don't want him to cry because of you.
Then again... Maybe you could afford to indulge him a little bit longer.
What's the harm in that when he would eventually forget you anyway?
"Okay." You quietly sighed, showing that you gave up.
"Alright then." Giyu simply nodded.
And so, this went on for months, you pulling on that stupid little ribbon like he asked you to so that he would know you were there. The two of you have now become acquainted and maybe even close to friends. However you don't know what to do now.
You taught him things about yourself, your breathing technique and the way you fought while Giyu taught you about his own and even a bit of his past.
You felt stupid and you didn't like the unfamiliar feeling of getting so close to someone like you have with Giyu. You didn't like the feeling you had when you thought about him.
You didn't like it, in fact, you could say that you hated it. You hated it so much. And yet, you liked it at the same time.
It just scared you, because if you truly liked being around him, being this close to him, that would mean that you liked him.
He was supposed to forget you, but he didn't. Unfortunately for him, you just ended up coming on his mind more often than anyone else.
For him the thought was fortunate.
Eventually you got used to it... Kinda, even felt more comfortable about talking to him in general.
Eventually he didn't even need you to pull the ribbon for him to know you were in the room. But he still wore the tiny cloth. A stupid piece of fabric that made your heart flutter every time you saw it.
You still didn't like it and yet you felt very special to have someone like Giyu care enough about wanting to know you.
One thing that was for certain, Giyu was having a much harder time coming to terms with this than you were, you thought that you were the one having a hard time? Giyu's about to die.
He's always gentle and soft-spoken around you, yet his hands get all sweaty and he finds himself clamming up. He doesn't remember feeling this way around you before, he just remembers being nervous, not sweaty and lightheaded.
He doesn't remember getting vivid fascinations of you in his mind.
He even thought Shinobu might have accidentally overdosed on him the last time he did a psych eval, he was in absolute distress. He loved being around you, but he's so timid at the same time. He can't help but act differently around you than the other Hashira. He wanted to desperately kiss you and he had never wanted to kiss anyone in his life before.
It was almost as if he had a crush on you, like Mitsuri had talked about with people of the past. But there was no way to determine that, even with all the scrolls he read on the topic in hopes to explain what he was feeling.
He didn't like his chest tightening and his face brightening up. Most of the Hashira could even see the change in Giyu, how he looked more content, even with his neutral face.
What made it worse was the thoughts he had about you. His frantic fantasies about you being closer to him, being with him in ways he wouldn't dare utter aloud.
He had tried to talk to Kagaya about it, but he had just dismissed him with a laugh, saying that he would get used to it over time and that it was an experience to try and keep.
Giyu had to make it worse by being bold one day and kissing your cheek after you had come back from the Swordsmith village. It was the week before he had left for his mission, the week before his midlife crisis if you will.
His feelings for you made him want to hide in a corner for the rest of his life. This is why no one likes him, he's sure, he's a creep and thinks things that he shouldn't about other women... Then again, he's never thought about it with another woman besides you, but still.
Everyone spoke of him being a lonely weirdo that wouldn't find anyone, but maybe he would.
Mitsuri, Rengoku and Uzui have been sure that he's in love, they've even started trying to figure out who it was. Sanemi and Obanai just think he's high, and Shinobu has been poking fun at him for a little too long, either way though, he doesn't care.
He likes it, he's sure that he'll eventually like this feeling. Because he likes you, so much. Maybe too much
At the same time, he doesn't like this, it scares him because that would mean that he has fallen for you. He's fallen for you, and hard.
He likes you, no, loves you.
The only problem was the fact that you didn't want to be emotional, he knew that and he didn't want to cause you pain if anything were to happen to him.
Yet, he couldn't help himself when he wanted to be around you. It made him feel alive and he wasn't sure what to do.
So that's how he wakes up. In fear of the fact that he almost died on a mission. The impending love he has for you is about to explode in his chest, and his injuries weren't helping either.
All he knew is that he had to get to you, he had to tell you everything, had to be honest. Whether or not he ruined the relationship, whether or not you felt the same, even if he wasn't fully healed yet.
He was quick, barley fighting against the Kakushi the begged him to stay in bed. He just needed to get out of the butterfly mansion, not caring if he would hurt himself more.
Aoi tried to stop him, he wasn't trying to be rude. He even scared Shinobu when she watched him walk out of the mansion. She tried to tell him to rest but if she was being honest, there was no real point in trying when he was moving so fast.
When Giyu finally found you, you were standing outside and looking at the red, cloud-filled sunset, he wore a small smile, but even that couldn't mask the weariness that showed on his face.
Despite how tired he was, he wanted to see you first, before even allowing himself to rest. He wouldn't rest, not yet.
His feelings for you were so strong that even the exhaustion and pain he was experiencing wouldn't stand in the way of confirming something that he desperately needed to know.
"Giyu? Aren't you supposed to be at the butterfly mansion?" You questioned in surprise as you watched him walk towards him. You were nervous because here he was, trying to walk around outside like a normal person.
Not that Giyu wasn't strong, he was, and you loved seeing him when he was around.
You had listened to a conversation that Gyomei was having with Muichiro. He was saying that Giyu was going to be taken to the butterfly mansion for healing even though he could still stand and walk around when the clean up crew found him.
Giyu was taken back by your concern, but he quickly hid it behind his usual calm demeanor. It seemed out of character for him to show any kind of vulnerability. Not that he wasn't going to show it eventually.
"I was at the butterfly mansion, but I wanted to see you first, and check on you. How have you been? Are you doing alright?" Giyu inquired, hoping to see some sign of affection from you.
"... I'm fine, thank you." You chuckled, a small smile gracing your face. You were flattered that he wanted to check on you to make sure that you were okay, it was just funny that he was the one that almost died.
"You shouldn't be walking around like this when you're injured." You continued, standing still for a moment before looking at his hand.
Hesitantly, you touch his hand. Your fingers gently swiping across his palm before moving to his fingers.
His face heats up immediately and once again, his brain is going into overdrive. Thinking of things it definitely shouldn't have been thinking about and plaguing him with even more bittersweet longing.
Giyu didn't expect you to be so gentle with him, yet he welcomed the gesture. He always kept others at arm's length, but with you, he couldn't help but find himself comfortable enough to be touched.
That’s probably why he suddenly got all hard.
"I'm okay, it's really nothing." Giyu softly whispered, trying to downplay it "I'm just glad you're alright too."
You nodded your head, not looking at him and keeping your gaze focused on his hand. You knew that he was lying and not only was he injured, he was so stressed out that you could feel it in his hands and arms.
"You must be tired." Was all you said as you started to massage his fingers and then slowly up his arm. You felt bad for him since he looked so tired and the fact that he wanted to see you in this state was almost romantic. It was definitely cute.
Giyu's pride wouldn't allow him to accept any help normally, but he also knew that deep down he needed this. As you continued to massage his hands and arm, he found himself wanting to return the gesture.
When he finally looked at you, he found it hard to speak. The expression on your face made him feel butterflies in his stomach. In that moment, he could only think of how lucky he was to know such a woman like you.
He simply pulled you closer, halting your movement of trying to release tension from his hand. He was glad, relieved that you slipped up on your breathing technique. Otherwise he still wouldn't know you.
"I don't feel so tired anymore." He mumbled under his breath, not having a clue on what to do. This must have all been from instinct because he had no experience in this.
"No? Why not?" You lightly laughed, allowing him to pull you closer. Whether it was an attempt for a hug or something more you didn't know, but you felt comfortable.
Although you had a feeling he was trying to initiate something.
"Because, I think... I think that I want to be yours." Giyu answered, pulling you even closer, his face being mere inches away from yours.
He was going to love you forever, he's sure. And right now, he was waiting for the perfect moment to kiss you until you got tired of it and told him to stop. At least, in his mind it seemed like a good idea, it may have just been from your physical touch, but he's absolutely sure he loves you.
"... Want to be mine?" You ask as he slowly buried his head in the crook of your neck.
You felt strange, you felt more than strange. You and Giyu both had been courting in a way, and it was quite obvious that the two of you liked each other if anyone paid attention. Even so, you didn't really know what to do.
Giyu hugged you tighter before answering you, his words mixed with a soft chuckle of affection.
"Yeah... Well, I also want you to be mine." He admitted.
"... You should rest-"
"I'll rest later, it can wait."
You both had been so busy with Hashira work, beating around the bush to the point that this obvious romance that was brewing had been pushed to the side. Now that Giyu found some courage, it was time that you both dealt with this. He wasn't going to let you go without at least talking to you about how he felt.
"I was worried I wouldn't make it back... I was... I was so scared" Giyu confessed, his head still resting on your shoulder. "But I... I like you very much, I think... That I might even love you. So I wanted to come back to tell you that."
"... You... Do you really love me?" You pressed, wanting to hear him say it again. Maybe you should have paid more attention to your mother when she said that you'll experience a love like this.
"Yes, I... I love you more than anything, and I was scared of leaving without you knowing that. I don't know why, but I thought of you and I... I didn't know what to do, I know I love you."
"... I love you too." You reply with a small but warm smile, placing your hand on top of his head as Giyu kisses your cheek. "I missed you, I was hoping that you would be okay so that I could see you again. Maybe I should have said this to you sooner."
This confession was intimate, Giyu couldn't handle not kissing you anymore.
Looking up at you with eyes that were full of adoration, he moved his lips against yours. Giyu's hand moved behind your head, his thumb slowly caressing your cheek.
He was sure that he loved you, it couldn't be just lust because if it was, he wouldn't have thought about you when he almost encountered his death bed.
"Thank you for always being there for me." Giyu whispered. He was losing himself in a moment that he had never felt before, it felt like a joke that was meant to be cruel but turned out perfect.
"You're welcome." You mumbled, letting Giyu kiss your forehead before giving you a small kiss on your nose.
Heck, he could marry you right now and he wouldn't mind. In fact, he would love that.
You leaned in, kissing him and not knowing where to put your hands before finally deciding to let them hold onto Giyu's haori
Giyu had no time to feel lightheaded and embarrassed, he wasn't prepared but he wasn't going to hold off.
He loved you, and he knew that. He also knew that you must have loved him back. You wouldn't have kissed him back if you didn't. The two of you weren't strangers, acquaintances, or friends anymore.
He would be so happy if you would care to be his lover. Maybe in the future, his wife.
━━━━°⌜✧⌟°━━━━
"Next time we'll be prepared, I'm sure since-" Tanjiro rambled on.
Until he immediately stopped dead in his tracks, his gaze reaching a sight he wasn't expecting to see, Giyu and a woman he did not recognize.
It was surprising, but somehow it made perfect sense. Tanjiro couldn't help but smile at the lovingness that Giyu seemed to show the female, no wonder Tanjiro smelled something different about him last week.
Now, Tanjiro would have left to give them privacy if he hadn't been walking with both Zenitsu and Genya.
"Who is that?" Zenitsu purposefully glared at Giyu, gazing at the sight while trying his absolute best not to gush at how romantic it was at the same time.
"Does it matter!? Let's just go!" Genya stuttered, teenage hormonal embarrassment kicking in immediately.
"Shh! Don't yell Genya!"
"It seems like a demon slayer has caught the attention of a Water Hashira." Zenitsu grumbled. "How annoying, and she's so pretty too! Why do all the Hashira get the perfect girls!?"
"... At least he doesn't have three?" Tanjiro shrugged, referring to everyone's lovely sound Hashira.
"Jeez, can we go now!?" Genya complained.
"Come on Genya, have some fun!"
"Shh! Stop yelling, they're gonna hear us!" Tanjiro grimaced, ducking under a bush when they got too loud.
The trio was silent, almost certain they heard but surprised when nothing seemed to happen.
"... Alright, sightseeing over, so let's give them some privacy." Tanjiro comments, chuckling as the three of them walk off.
Tanjiro was apparently wrong about Giyu, along with everyone else. It seemed like he wouldn't be alone for the rest of his life, and Tanjiro could say that he was happy for him.
Giyu had a lover.

KNY Incorrect quote#2 Kamado Matchmakers

to be in love
Author’s Note: not much to note… 😅
to be in love
Tomioka Giyuu x Reader
Word Count: ~900
CW: mild sexual content
Emergency Request Fulfilled: could you write a comfort fic about Giyu?? (only if you have time ofc)
~faqs~
“What’s on your mind?”
You eye Giyuu for a long second, not quite focused on how blue and earnest his stare is, softness flickering from your face to your hands to your face again. He’s used to waiting. Used to long stretches of doubt and hesitation; of watching the gears turn in your head as you calculate the pros and cons of showing yourself to him — the reassurance you seek tempered by a deep, creeping fear of But what if I don’t deserve it?
“Nothing?”
He raises an eyebrow as you wince at your questioning inflection, your lie clear as day, his fingertips calloused and cool as they reach for your wrists.
“I don’t know,” you amend your response, “It doesn’t matter.”
“It doesn’t matter to you,” he asks lightly, “Or to me?”
You shrug, “I mean, I guess it matters to me,” your wrists twisting in his grasp, thumbs stroking his pinkies, “But it doesn’t have to matter to you.”
With a low chuckle, Giyuu lifts a stern finger to your chin, coaxing your heated cheeks to meet his searching gaze. He adores these moments, seated across from you at the dining table, sometimes curled up together on the couch, occasionally lying side by side in bed, his eyelids growing heavy as your tentative voice murmurs in a familiar tone Giyuu? As much vulnerability as you’re willing to give him is how much patience he has. He’s greedy, after all, for your trust in him — for the intimacy of overcoming that ringing weight of Am I enough?
“Talk to me. Please.”
“You’ve been in love before.”
He’s quiet, your statement quivering in his chest, frowning when he realizes just how bright your eyes have become, tears threatening to burst through your delicately kept tension.
“I have,” he says, heart clenching as you struggle to look away, “But they weren’t you.”
“Giyuu,” you deadpan, cracking a wry smile even as tears finally begin to fall, “That has got to be the most cliche answer in the book.”
“Oh?” he smiles back, smearing your tears with tender fondness before they drip off your jaw, “There’s a book?”
“I know it shouldn’t bother me because we both lived plenty of lives before we met. I know that. I know that what’s past has passed, and that I should be grateful for that past. I should be grateful for the lives that led us to each other. But I… can you really, truly be in love with me? With your whole heart?”
Silence seeps between your damp skin and Giyuu’s touch, your words processed and contemplated, inspected and prodded. You hold your breath, a bird perched to take flight, his faint smile and adoring eyes never leaving your own watery stare.
“I am really, truly in love with you. With my whole heart.”
“How can you be su-”
“Yes. I have loved before you. I have loved hard. I have loved with what I believed was my entire being. And yes, I have been heartbroken. I have yearned for what was no longer mine. I have wished to reverse time, to try again, to prove I am better than, more than, whatever separated me from my lover.” His smile broadens, undeniable warmth caressing your tears as he continues, “But my heart is complete. There are not bits and pieces of it lost to regret. There is not a single speck of my soul lingering, stalling, hoping to be with anyone else. I am in love with you, and I intend to spend the rest of my life this way.”
“This way?” you whisper.
“Just like this,” he murmurs, kissing your forehead, “Here. In love, with you.”
“But what if-”
“There is no what if,” he interrupts gently, “Not for me. There’s your amazing laughter and your gorgeous smile. And your eyes, so beautiful, so full of love. There’s how cherished I feel by you, and how much I feel I can cherish you. There’re so many things about you, about who I am with you, about us… I can’t guarantee much, but I do know there’s only one of you. And I know how lucky I am to be loved by you; how lucky I am to love you. I find, as we spend more and more of our days together, that I care less and less for what if. You, you’re it.”
Giyuu can tell, the moment your tears begin to glisten with affection and hope. The moment the hardness in your gaze begins to dissolve, the insecurity and coldness in your demeanor melting to a radiant glimmer. He understands how difficult it is, accepting love that you feel is beyond your right — accepting love that you still struggle to believe in. And he knows it’s possible. Knows it’s possible to be loved so completely, so effortlessly, with all the effort in the world, that there isn’t room for fear, for loss, for doubt. That is how you love him.
“I love you,” you grin, licking at the corners of your mouth, saltiness coating your tongue, “I love you so much.”
“I love you so much,” he declares, a brilliant, endeared sound, enamored with the clarity of the emotion in your eyes, “I love you.”
You kiss him slowly, hands cupping his face, another shared laugh closer to forever.

Giyuu relationship headcanons
My headcanons for what it might be like for a relationship with Giyuu.
Requests are always open/welcomed!
Enjoy :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
•Giyuu is a very quiet, private person so its no surprise that he isn't a big fan of PDA.
•How ever, he will hold your hand when you go out together and sometimes give you quick pecks on your lips, cheek or forehead when he knows no one is looking.
•But when you're alone together in the comfort of your home its a whole different story.
•He loves to have some sort of physical contact with you most of the time. Sitting down reading reading a book? His heads in your lap with you petting his hair. Cooking a meal for the both of you? He's either helping or he's hugging you from behind, resting his head on your shoulder.
• I bet sometimes if it's a slow morning or if he is really tired after a long day? Giyuu would let you do his hair. I think he'd really love just the sensation of have your hands run through his hair, even if he doesn't say it. It helps him relax and calm him down, especially if he gets in his own head with worries.
• If you're a civilian, every night he'll stop by your house after his patrol of his prefecture just to make sure that you're alright.
• If you're hashira like him then he trusts in your abilities as a demon slayer to protect yourself, but will still worry since he doesn't want to loose you to demons like he's lost others in the past.
• I don't see him as someone who says verbally that he loves you a lot. I think most of the time he will show it with his actions rather than words. But if you really want or need to hear him say it or if he feels that his actions aren't enough, he will tell you out loud.
• I think for a confession it would be spontaneous. I feel like he'd be very anxious to tell you, especially since everyone that he has been close to in the past has died, but I think he would confess one day on accident.
• It'll happen either one night when you are patching him up from one of his missions or when you two are out walking or something. The light would just hit your face with such elegance and beauty that he would just blank out for a minute in awe, all his worries flying out the window and just say, "I love you...." quietly but but with no hesitation.
• He'd then get so embarrassed later but also kinda relieved he got it off of his chest and that you feel the same way. (please tell him you feel the same way, it'd break his heart if you didn't T-T)
Not sure if your doing request, but can you do a yandere!Hashira (any of your choosing) with a Reader who isn’t physically strong but very strong Mentally? I can give one example is Senku Ishigami from the Anime Dr,stone
Sorry if my english very bad, make sure to drink enough water and get enough sleep <3
I definitely do Yandere Hashira requests. Not a fan of the Yandere stuff but please don’t feel discouraged, will always do these so thank you dearly
Much prefer people to give me a specific character since I’ll always go for the most underappreciated Hashira, Gyomei but right now, I’ll pick Water Baby and Water Babe!
Another short one, sorry and I’ll also just give us Senku’s physical stature and personality, and also, thank you once more for the reference of a character! Really appreciate it!
Tomioka Giyuu- Sky-High Fortitude
Giyuu is a very protective Yandere, right up. He loses everybody he loves all the time and he cannot stand the idea of you disappearing from him as well. So, he grows obsessed with your safety and your health. And this is normal you…
With your scrawny, petite body, Giyuu is so clingy to a suffocating state and follows you around all the time to make sure not even a drunken man can lay their hand on you since you’re physically weak
However, Giyuu does find your straightforward, confident, and logical personality very impressive. Your body screams weakness but your mentality screams strength. It’s almost impossible to sway you mentally and you are practically immune to psychological coercion
Your scientific passion allows you to believe there is nothing science can’t explain and Giyuu admires that. He admires everything of you and your personality. You’re a powerful person in your mind, not even bringing forth your smaller body. Giyuu absolutely loves that and doesn’t mind bragging about you in non-verbal ways
Giyuu isn’t a fan of the fact you’re apathetic towards romance and you often discourage over anybody else trying to develop feelings towards you. He dislikes that you dislike romance but that won’t stop him from trying to claim you as his, you’re a great friend with a genuine selfless and kind heart, even with your almost unlikeable, cold rationale
Giyuu does like a number of your traits, he aspires to have them as well; determination, persistence, supportive, protective. You may not like romance but you support romance. You may be manipulative at times to get what you want in a rather arrogant style, but you don’t use others in a way that’s hurt anybody. You have negatives but Giyuu ignores them since he loves who you are far too much to be picky about specific details
Giyuu, with a Darling like you, does not change his usual behaviours. He is just a big admiring clumsy simp for you, your mentally powerful persona and very very protective over you because of your physically frail figure!
•Giyu Tomioka• kny
Part 2 of friends?
Summery: it's been a few months since you and giyu became friends and you guys start to develop feelings for eachother. One day after a mission giyu gets hurt while trying to save you.
Cw/Tw: little blood, fluff
~silent longing~
It had been a few months since that mission. Giyu started being more comfortable around you and grew more protective of you. He would always make sure that he was right next to you during missions, if not at your side, and his presence in the background was comforting. He started helping you train aswell.
.
.
.
The moon hung high in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the forest as you and Giyu made your way through the dimly lit path. You had just finished a grueling mission, the weight of your victory heavy on your shoulders. A mixture of exhilaration and exhaustion coursed through your veins, but Giyu’s presence beside you kept your spirits high.
“Are you alright?” you asked, glancing sideways at Giyu. He had been quiet, his expression unreadable as you walked, and a hint of concern flickered in your chest.
“Just tired,” he replied, his voice soft but steady. The way he looked at the ground, the lines of tension etched on his face, made you worry that he was carrying more than just physical fatigue.
Suddenly, a rustle in the bushes broke the serene atmosphere. Before you could react, a demon sprang from the shadows, its fangs bared and eyes glowing with malevolence. Giyu’s instincts kicked in instantly; he pushed you aside just as the demon lunged at you, redirecting its attack.
“No!” you shouted, watching in horror as Giyu engaged the demon.. Your heart raced as you felt the rush of adrenaline, the fear of losing him overwhelming your senses.
Giyu fought fiercely, using every inch of power he possessed even though he was exhausted. His movements were smooth and fluid, his body moving with an elegance tinged by desperation as he threw himself into battle, determined to kill the demon.
But as he struck the demon, it managed to swipe its claw across his side, leaving a deep gash. You couldn't just stand there and watch as Giyu fell, his body hitting the ground harshly. You ran to his side ans finished off the demon as quickly as possible before rushing back towards Giyu, dropping to your knees beside him.
“Giyuu!” you screamed, panic flooding your voice as you knelt beside him. His hand pressed against the wound, blood seeping through his fingers.
“I’m fine,” he insisted, though his voice was strained.
“You’re bleeding!” you exclaimed, your hands trembling as you reached for him, panic and concern intertwining in your chest. “We need to treat your wounds.”
Giyu’s eyes softened as you inspected the injury, the moonlight illuminating the pain etched on his features. “You should focus on yourself,” he murmured, but there was a flicker of vulnerability in his gaze that made your heart ache.
“I won’t leave you like this,” you replied firmly as you helped him sit up and rest his back against a tree. Giyu watched you carefully, taking deep breaths and attempting to hide his wince.
As soon as you pulled the hem of his haori up, you saw the long cut running down his side. Blood stained the fabric red, staining your fingers too. "damn it" you cried out.
"giyu..try to use your breathing to stop it from bleeding" you said began to clean the wound, your fingers brushing against his skin, sending warmth through both of you. Giyu winced at first, but he didn’t pull away. Instead, he watched you with an intensity that made the air between you thick with unspoken emotions.
.
.
.
.
“Why did you have to put yourself in danger for me?” you asked, your voice trembling slightly as you finished wrapping his side with a bandage.
Giyu’s expression grew serious, a hint of sorrow dancing in his eyes. “Because I can’t lose you too,” he replied, the weight of his words hanging in the air. You knew what he meant..sabito and his sister.
After a moment, he added, “You mean too much to me.."
Your heart raced, a flush creeping to your cheeks as you held his gaze, the world around you fading away. “You mean a lot to me too, Giyu.”
For a moment, the silence was filled only with the soft rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of crickets. Your fingers lingered on his side, and Giyu’s hand reached up to brush against yours, his touch gentle yet firm. The contact sent a jolt of warmth through you, and you felt a magnetic pull towards him.
Giyu shifted closer, his eyes searching yours for something unspoken. “Thank you,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, full of sincerity and something deeper.
Giyu reached out, his fingers brushing against your cheek. “I—” he began, but the words hung in the air, leaving both of you breathless.
In the past few days he noticed himself smiling around you. He didn’t think he would ever smile so freely around anyone again. Especially after sabito's death but here he was, finally letting go of his control, letting the smile spread slowly on his lips until all you could see was his mouth, his beautiful blue eyes twinkling in the sunlight. Whenever you smiled at him or got closer to him, his heart raced uncontrollably in his chest. He had indeed fallen for you after the day when you asked him to be friends. You felt the same too.
Giyu starts to lean in, his expression torn between restraint and longing, his fingers tightening slightly as he cups your face. You eyes fluttered shut as your heartbeat increased with each passing second. You could feel his warm breath on you lips.
Just then, a gust of wind rustled the trees, breaking the spell between you. You pulled back slightly, cheeks flushed, and Giyu’s hand dropped back to his side, a hint of vulnerability creeping back into his expression.
“Let’s get back,” Giyu said, his voice steady but his eyes lingering on you for just a moment longer. “We can talk more when we’re safe.”
You nodded, feeling a pang of disappointment in your chest but Giyu was right, after all, it wouldn’t be wise to stay here too long.
Hashiras/Pillars reacting to a [Y/N] having three husband's (like uzui, but inverse u got lol)
Ft. Giyuu and Sanemi (I'll probably do more after!)
The reader here is Gender Neutral, Enjoy! ;)
yes I got u 3 hubbies hehe
Satoshi is your calmest husband, the serious one, but kind and patient. He's probably the one who does all the housework while you work as Hashira. (malewife supremacy)
Eiji is your loudest husband, the easily irritable one, but is a crybaby inside. He always offers to accompany you on your travels. (Outside he's: idc Inside he's: pls [y/n] don't leave me)
Ichiro is your most affectionate husband, probably the most emotional one too. He is always the first one to run towards you whenever you come home. ( He and Eiji sometimes cry together because they miss you)
In your last mission, you had to travel north after a report about a demon terrorizing the town, not much later you have been summoned by master Ubuyashiki to a Pillars meeting. Obviously you go without complaining, but you're already missing your husbands, just imagining getting home and being cuddled by the three melt your heart. It's been a long 5 weeks.
In the meeting, after master Ubuyashiki appears and y'all bow, everyone starts reporting they missions, and when it was your turn...
The suddenly crash in your left and loud voices, make you silent. Looking in that direction you see your three husbands, Ichigo and Eiji screaming in your direction and Satoshi trying everything to stop them.
Well, that's was unexpected.
- Giyuu was just staring at the floor after reporting, waiting for the meeting finish.
- The loud noise got him scared for a second.
- Looking at the commotion, he noticed three unknown people, and you walking towards them after excusing yourself.
- At first he thought they are you friends or family.
- Seeing you kissing the forehead of the crying one, he thinks that probably your husband and your brothers
- But then you caress the face of one them, and holds the hand of another crying one.
- Giyuu is lost
"Seems you have company [Y/N], who are?" Master Ubuyashiki asks after his daughters describe the scene to him.
"These are my husband master" You answer.
"We apologize for the sudden intrusion master Ubuyashiki, and for the wall"
"Wall?" Giyuu ask himself.
- He notices the huge hole made in the wall by your husbands
- Giyuu is even more lost now, not only did he find out you have THREE husbands, they managed to break down a wall in seconds after hearing your name.
- After the meeting, he ends up finding you and your husbands, Satoshi once more is apologizing for interrupting.
- In the end, Giyuu ends up joining you to eat (Ichigo insist in giving him some Ohagi)
- WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK?
- Just some strange people invaded the Hashira Meeting AND interrupt Master Ubuyashiki? Sanemi is PISSED.
- After the meeting he goes after you and your husbands.
- He finds you outside the Ubuyashiki mansion talking, you seem to be scolding two of them.
- He walks towards you with heavy steps, and you seem to listen to him.
"Ah, hey Shinazugawa"
"Are you some kind of idiot?"
"What? - You ask"
"Who do you think you are to let these people walking in the Master Mansion?"
"Why do you care? We already apologized to master Ubuyashiki and paid for the broken wall. - You say defending your husbands. One of them growls in Sanemi's direction"
"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT, YOU CAN'T JUST LET THEM COME AND INTERRUPT A MEETING"
- Sanemi started screaming at you, at your husbands and even the rock y'all are near.
- And you four just stay there listing here talking about whatever he's talking. Probably about "your stupidity" and "the stupidity of your husbands" and "and why Eiji shouldn't use an ax to break a wall".
- He is basically screaming about you and your husbands.
"AND THAT'S WHY YOU SHOULDN'T LEAVE-" Your interrupt him, sighing tired.
"Shinazugawa if you want to be the fourth husband, just ask okay?"
- he stops and only stares at you.
- Yup, you broke him.
I've had this idea for a while, it didn't turn out the way I wanted, but I will try again someday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And don't worry! I will make another Hashira/Pillars and [Y/N] soon!
Hope you enjoyed! ^^
Somebody I Used to Know (Giyuu x Reader)
(A/N): I haven’t written anything in a looong time on this account, and in general. I don’t kno why I suddenly found the inspiration to do so, but I’ve been in my Demon Slayer era so here it is. I’ve found that there is a serious lacking of fics for my favorite hashira, so I’ve taken it upon myself to write my own haha. Hope you all enjoy! Strap in, because this is going to be multiple parts.
Word Count: 3.2k
If it were up to him, Giyuu Tomioka would never have agreed to take up a Tsuguko. He wanted to avoid feeling the consequences of losing another person important to him– maybe that’s what Shinobu meant when she claimed that no one liked him. It was most likely better that way, anyway. But with Rengoku’s passing and Tengen’s retirement, finding the next possible Hashira was exactly what the Corps needed.
(Y/N) (L/N) represented everything admirable in a fighter: Talented, hard working, and highly intelligent. And as Urokodaki’s niece, your lineage spoke for itself. A water breathing apprentice with much promise, assigned for Giyuu to mentor by none other than Kagaya Ubuyashiki himself. The two of you knew each other. You used to be tentative friends to say the least. But that was another lifetime ago.
Giyuu had no interest in training someone who may amount to another death he can’t afford to mourn. He'd chosen the path of solitude, staying away from you to keep you safe. But apparently you had followed in his footsteps and became a Demon Slayer anyway. When Giyuu’s crow informed him to find his new Tsuguko, he nodded solemnly.
That was another reason he was reluctant. Because it was you in particular. Time and grief had already driven the two of you apart, and he wasn’t thrilled to face the skeletons in his closet. Afterall, Giyuu hadn’t seen you since before he left for his Final Selection.
~~~~~~~~
Snowflakes danced in the air, descending from the sky as your warm breath clouded in front of you. This winter was as cold as it was peaceful, the landscape covered in a blanket of white. Your eyes dazzled and heart pounded in admiration of the scene in front of you. It was like you were in a trance, all sounds caught in your throat as speechlessness overcame you. Across the field was a young swordsman clad in uniform– long dark hair tossed past his shoulders. Raven bangs fell in front of his face, framing his features in a way that made it difficult for you to look away. Not that you wanted to, anyway.
The nichirin sword around his hip left tracks in the snow, the young man not quite being tall enough to keep it from dragging behind him. You barely noticed Sabito trailing slightly in front of him. Has he always been there? Who was this mysterious boy that he brought with him this time? As the two boys drew closer, you were snapped out of your trance by Urokodaki placing a kind hand on the top of your head. You glanced up at your uncle, eyes wide and curious.
“Come child, Giyuu and Sabito have arrived to greet us.”
“Giyuu…” you repeated, red suddenly coloring your cheeks. It was a nice name indeed.
“(Y/N)!! You’ve gotten bigger since I last saw you,” Sabito chimed, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. You grinned in response, standing on your tiptoes and sticking your chin out proudly.
“I’ve been drinking milk,” you boasted, glad that he seemed to notice your growth. The orange-haired boy chuckled, ruffling your hair as this “Giyuu” stood next to him. Your shyness returned as you noticed his gaze. He was the most beautiful person you’d ever seen.
“Hello,” he greeted, offering you a small smile. You glanced up at your uncle in your uncertainty, who nodded in encouragement. Up close, Giyuu was even more handsome than before. He was looking right at you, his deep blue eyes like pools of sapphire.
“Pretty…” you whispered, subconsciously pointing at his face.
Your transfixed stare was interrupted by Sabito’s loud snort.
“Looks like you've got an admirer, Tomioka!” He cackled, slapping his friend on the back. Giyuu was blushing a bright red, suddenly averting your gaze as Sabito doubled over. You definitely should have kept your mouth shut.
“Sabito, stop laughing! You're such a meanie!” You pouted, cheeks burning.
An escape plan hatched in your brain, you turned around and bolted, Sabito’s howling laughter carrying through the snowy forest. Giyuu reached up to touch his face, staring at your departing figure with a dumbfounded expression. His youthful heart felt giddy, his body now warm despite the biting temperature.
The next time he visited, he was looking forward to seeing you again. You on the other hand, held a grudge against being teased and vowed to never embarrass yourself in front of Tomioka ever again. Seeing him walk over the hill to your house sent you running in the other direction. When he called out to you, you'd hide. It was silly, but you couldn’t help it. Giyuu made you timid, and you much preferred watching him at a distance in safety.
Besides, it was the best view to observe him train anyway. When he fought, it left you in awe. Even your young eyes could tell he was a Hashira in the making.
He was curently out in the field, cold air filling his small lungs as he tried for the umpteenth time to cut through the large rock in front of him. You could tell from your spot behind the tree that the boy was growing increasingly frustrated with himself. In an act of annoyance he plopped to the ground, resting his head in his hands. You frowned.
Tapping your chin, you pondered on a solution to cheer him up and grinned when an idea came to you. The field nearby grew blue snowdrops, the only flower that could grow during the winter time.
“For you,” you smiled, small arm outstretched to offer your gift. The petals were a rich navy hue.
Giyuu looked from his hands, eyes widening to see you so close. You waved your hand in front of him in encouragement. When he stayed silent you leaned down to grab his sword and hand that to him too.
“Don't give up just yet. I know you’ll become the best swordsman in the world.”
“You came out?” He inquired in surprise.
“I didn't like seeing you sad,” you shrugged casually. It was the truth.
The boy grinned, opting to tuck the flower behind your ear. Your words were the only encouragement he needed.
“My final selection is tomorrow. Will you be cheering me on?” He inquired sincerely.
“Of course! Even if you don't see me, I will be. Always.”
If only life were that triumphant and simple.
Your uncle was the one who broke the news after their Final Selection. The months that passed afterwards were a blur as you sunk into despair. You waited for Giyuu to walk up that hill like he always did, so you could at least see one of them return to you. But he never did. You grieved for Sabito and Mokomo alone, and you grieved for Tomioka too. You lost two of your friends in one fell swoop, and had been abandoned by the third. Chanelling your pain in another way, it was your turn to take up the sword now too. To fight through the despair. And to avenge the peaceful life that should have been yours.
And you kept your word to Giyuu, vowing to cheer him on in all his endeavors, even if your heart broke after he never returned.
~~~~~~~~
The first time Tomioka saw you in action, beneath his stoic facade was an air of immediate respect. He’d been instructed to find and assist you on a mission with a demon more dangerous than previously anticipated– one of the Twelve Kizuki made its appearance, but that didn’t waver your bravery. The scene was grim, with your team of lower rank Demon Slayers paralyzed on the ground.
As Giyuu assessed the situation and watched you fight from the trees above, he realized you truly were a prodigy. Your Nichirin sword was an extension of yourself– you wielded water unlike any swordsman he’d seen in the past, as if taking part in an eternal dance with your blade. You fought with elegance, selflessly dashing in front of one of your fellow swordsmen and deflecting blood art attacks thrown in her direction. Was this really (Y/N)? Clumsy, loud, small (Y/N)? When did you become so… mature?
“(Y/N)-san! Behind you!” One of your remaining comrades screamed. Giyuu’s hand fell onto the hilt of his own sword in preparation to take action, yet you twisted with ease to evade the demon’s attack as another fighter charged towards it. Their swift slash to the neck failed to cut through, snapping the metal of their weapon in half. Its spiny, scorpion-like exoskeleton was nearly impossible for the average Demon Slayer to cut through, and close ranged attacks were dangerous considering the poison tipped pincers growing from its torso.
“No!” You screamed, arm outstretched towards your other comrade as the demon turned its attention towards him, malice and amusement glittering in its hollow irises. Giyuu dashed forward, grabbing onto him and springing back to safety before the demon’s long claws could impale the trembling boy. You bolted forward to close an incredible distance in the blink of an eye, haori fluttering behind your figure as if you were running on air.
“Water Breathing, third form. Flowing Dance.” You rotated in the air, dodging the legs that threatened to interrupt your attack with their piercing thrusts. The opening thread had made itself apparent, but you had been punctured with several wounds and your stamina was depleting. This battle must have been going on for longer than Giyuu originally anticipated.
“Go for the legs, I’ll slice its neck,” The Water pillar called to you.
He rushed forward as you unleashed attacks to cut the demon’s many arms and legs, preventing them from stabbing Tomioka as he made his move. The Kizuki let out an enraged howl, thrusting its fangs towards you. It never got the chance to bite into you, however, as the Water Hashira’s blade came in contact with its neck, slicing through like butter in one solid stroke.
As the demon disintegrated, your knees went wobbly. The formerly collected swordsman upon closer inspection was now an exhausted girl, battered and bruised on the verge of collapse as your adrenaline faded away. Giyuu placed his hand on your shoulder.
“I’m sorry for not getting here sooner. You fought well.”
You knew that voice. You barely had time to register his pretense in the heat of battle, but it was undeniable now.
“Tomioka-sama?” you turned your head to look at him, the warmth of his gentle yet firm grip spreading through your body. His deep blue eyes bore into yours. You realized you still loved those eyes. They felt familiar to you, like a small piece of your home. It had been too long since you had gazed upon them. “Y-you’re here, you came?”
“It’s my duty to look after you now,” he replied plainly, supporting your weight as you stumbled.
“I'm so glad,” you whispered, pain searing in your lower torso as you spoke. “I'm happy to see you again.” Giyuu shook his head, noticing the small winces you tried to hide between your shallow breaths. As your knees buckled he scooped you up in his arms and held you close.
“Nevermind that. You need to start recovery breathing, (Y/N).”
You inhaled softly, fatigue settling in your bones as you did what you were instructed. Giyuu silently waved off a Kakushi who offered to carry you, his focus never leaving the girl in his arms.
“Where did the demon get you?”
“My torso, he nicked me real bad earlier,” you informed, nose scrunching as blood began to soak through your uniform. Giyuu’s eyebrows furrowed in concern.
“Let's get you back swiftly then,” he murmured into your hair. It still smelled the same as he remembered, like wisteria and snow.
Your crow later informed the Pillar that because you fiercely defended the others, many of your comrades escaped certain death. You fought selflessly. It reminded him of much of your mutual friend, the one who’s name still made shame burn in his heart to remember. The one whose death drove you guys apart.
The man looked down at you in his arms. The walk back was long and you had long since been lost from the waking world, curling up into his shoulder as he carried you. He wondered how anyone who witnessed such horrors as demon slayers did, could look so peaceful in their sleep.
He took you into his home, which as his Tsuguko, would be yours now as well. It was strange to think he would begin sharing this space with someone else. His large estate wasn’t lived in like Tengen’s or Shinobu’s– many nights it remained cold and empty. The vastness of the mansion is unfit for just one man, but he’d always chosen to isolate himself in the past. Maybe the emptiness of his home would change now.
Tomioka had laid you down on the futon in one of his several spare rooms. As he dutifully tended to your wounds, you continued to sleep, blissfully unaware of the glances he stole at your face. It too had changed since the last time you'd seen him– more serious, but also more beautiful.
After disinfecting and wrapping up your more serious wounds, he dabbed a wet cloth at a cut on your cheek. You murmured unintelligibly as he did so, and Giyuu hesitated as you leaned into his touch. Were you waking up? The water pillar stilled in his movements, but you did not stir further. He sighed. It had been years since he’d seen you, but only now was all that time catching up to him.
He could feel his heart unwillingly squeeze in his chest as you snuggled into his hand in your state of unconsciousness.
Feeling a state of unrest, he rose to his feet and walked to the backyard to train. Fighting demons allowed him to take his mind off of most things. He could exercise for hours without the slightest hint of fatigue, and when the exhaustion caught up to him, it was all the more a distraction from everything he wanted to run away from. Time really did slip away from him in these moments.
Inside the mansion, you had risen, deciding to take in your new surroundings. You explored each room aside from Tomioka’s private quarters, observing the minimalist design of the entire estate. Many of the rooms had sparse furniture, but it was spacious and organized. Mostly because they were untouched. It pulled at your heartstrings to know that Giyuu lived here by himself for all these years. It felt so conflicting being back here: you wanted to make up for lost time with him, but you felt like an intrusion. Tomioka was housing you because it was his job. Not because it was voluntary.
He was a stranger to you now, but it didn’t feel like it. You cared for him, even if that wasn’t reciprocated.
The sound of metal swinging through the air caught your attention as you made your way to the back of the house, sliding the outer partition to reveal the Water Hashira outside. A cool breeze rushed past you, making you shiver. What was he doing at this hour?
“Have you been out here all night?” You questioned
“No.” The word slipped out easily for him, with his monotone voice and stoic expression. No one ever questioned it.
“You’re lying, Tomioka-sama.”
Except you, apparently.
He didn’t budge nor acknowledge you this time, continuing to swing his sword and cut through the air. You sighed, approaching him and resting a hand on his arm. Smaller you would have been shocked at how easily you walked up to him. You really had changed since then.
“C’mon, it’s getting chilly. Come inside with me?”
Again, you got no response. You knew Giyuu had become more withdrawn since his youth, but it hurt you to feel so emotionally distant. For you, the minute you saw him again it was like no time had passed at all. Your heart admired him all the same, but for him, you guessed it was different.
Well, it’s only natural of course, you told yourself. He was the one who left you behind afterall.
You pushed away the sting of disappointment.
“Please?” You took his wrist in your hand, but prepared for the man to slip out off your grip in rejection. But to your surprise he meerely looked down at you, lowering his sword to search your eyes. That was his first mistake, as he realized he couldn’t deny the request when you held such an earnest expression. His skin was cold to the touch, except for where your gentle grip was.
He realized you had the same effect as training did, for all of his racing thoughts went quiet as you kept him grounded to the earth.
“Okay,” he conceded, letting you guide him back to the house.
The walk to your room was quiet, a silence that you desperately wanted to break but were lost on how to. Unbesknown to you, Giyuu felt the same, but you both reached the shoji to your sleeping quarters before either had a chance to speak. The water hashira cleared his throat.
“Rest your injuries, and then we’ll start training,” Your mentor entoned, staring at the ground. “I will be gone often on missions. Make yourself comfortable in that time.”
With that, he turned away, almost relieved to end the interaction.
“I’m sorry,” you blurted suddenly, catching Giyuu off guard.
“For what?” There were a million reasons he could think for him to apologize to you, but you could never do a thing wrong in his eyes.
“I just... I know this probably isn’t your ideal situation. Me being here, invading your home. I’ll try to say out of your way.”
You looked so unsure, so small and out of place. He took a step closer to you, relenting at the guilt that you might think of yourself as a burden. The last thing Giyuu wished for was for you to feel unwanted. He was bad with words, but he felt different when you were around. A good different that he spend years trying avoiding, because he didn’t deserve you.
“Don’t. It’s already barren enough here,” Tomioka sighed, placing a hand on top of your head reassuringly.
You smiled at him brightly, relieved at his words. In truth, you didn’t want to stay away. After all this time, you wanted to show him he was cared about. That he didn’t have to shut everyone out and be alone. Giyuu’s breath caught in his throat. When was the last time anyone showed him such a happy expression?
His house never felt like home, but with your light inside of it, maybe it would start to.
Welcome once again star sailors,..............
First of all, with immense regret I apologise for not delving further into the following panels. This was going to be perhaps the most important post of the entire series (up till the end of Giyuu Gaiden). Sorry for the inconvenience, as I know myself the pain of not reading analysis series in order.
Now not leaving the task on to-do, let's move on, shall we?
I once again ask you to look at this panel:
(If you have not read the prequel part of this series, I strongly suggest doing that. Context will be needed in order to understand the further clues.)
As you remember, in the last episode of this series, I discussed Shinobu's intent with her quote on the top of the page. We discussed the sarcasm and the meaning behind it.
But now we are focusing on Giyuu. First of all, I would like to make the following statements.
This novella is set after the kamado massacre.
Giyuu is feeling guilt about letting Nezuko live (for reference, check the the second part of the Giyuu Gaiden novel)
Giyuu downplays himself, considering himself to be lower than anyone else.
Shinobu directly just made statement to her judgement on demons
Now.......I wonder how this all adds up.
Giyuu is feeling guilt for what he did. Or I would much rather say, what he chose to do. He most likely feels that another hashira would have made a better decision.
And now Shinobu directly states her reaction. This isn't a simple coincidence. The author is deliberately trying to show us that Giyuu's decision was something that Shinobu- and maybe any other hashira- would not have chosen.
Giyuu's reaction tells us about how he feels this guilt. When he realises what Shinobu would have done if she was in his place, he immediately starts thinking about his decsion.
It shows the most important part of the manga: What sets Giyuu apart from the other Hashiras. While I admit I analyse this as the 'Giyuu and Shinobu analysis series', this is the Giyuu Gaiden. This about Giyuu.
But this single page tells us more about Shinobu's reason to be here. Why wasn't someone like Sanemi placed in here? Yes, I know I am elaborating a single page, but the treasure it holds is far too vast to even be covered in this post.
So if you are a keen Shinobu fan like me, you might want to read my next blog post (yet too be released).
And so, this was it ladies and gentlemen and any other readers. I hope to venture deeper into Shinobu's position in this manga in the next post with you in the next post. Till then, don't forget to give up. Stay strong. We don't fight demons, but let's still commit to our responsibilities.
Let's make their sacrifices worth.
Yours Truly,
Shinowadh
Tide of Reunion
Giyuu Tomioka x Fiancée!Reader
The moon shone tenderly amid the forest's evergreen trees. A night of longing and drive, as the wind howled gently. Soft clouds form along the starry sky, capturing a visual impression.
Your shared home, in which you resided with Giyuu, was nestled among the seemingly unending woods. Your home is constructed with large woodwork, layered with a sloping roof.
The exterior doors were adorned with translucent paper, creating a serene atmosphere.
You lie calmly, asleep within the futon, a comfortable warm within. You are surrounded by poetically painted scrolls on the walls and tatami mat floor surfaces.
It had been overly long since your fiancée slept beside. He was hauled along strings of responsibilities, leaving you confined to your own presence. Though he hadn't written, he had on occasion sent you the plucked marvels of flowers he came across, indicating to you that you'd very much lingered in his mind.
Laying within the warm, padded material, your mind trailed aimlessly.You slept tranquilly, pondering on what your partner could be doing at this very moment. As your chest lifted and fell delicately, the foyer doors slid open.
It was promptly followed by the familiar ring of footsteps. They tread particularly lightly, preventing from grumbling a disturbance. It creeps across the hallway until it settles behind your door. You were yet to stir, as you continued to aspire, your mind venturing through absurd existences.
Careful hands lightly nudge the door wide before promptly closing. A wave of soothing lavender and rosemary aromas caress your senses with ardor. Deep, azure eyes glare at you fondly, as if not more relieved to see you. Despite his excessive thrills, he did not awaken you so suddenly, instead carefully undressing himself from his own uniform, leaving him bare.
He swiftly clothes himself in loose robes, carefully trailing to the futon in which you laid in. He lies beside you, pressing his palm against the side of your cheek. He relished the warmth of your skin, caressing it with his thumb.
You felt his familiar touch and gradually awoke. Your tired gaze moved to your tranquil spouse, who had held you with boundless tenderness.
You smile lazily at him, shifting closer.
“Giyuu…”, you whisper, your mind steadily attempting to recognise the scene.
“I didn’t mean to stir you...”, Tomioka replied dismissively.
You did not care for him awakening you, instead overly glad to see your partner be beside you once more. You retort his touch, placing your own hand to his face, and watch him longingly. You move in, gently laying your lips on his after so long.
Giyuu embraced quickly, amiably reciprocating your kiss. He was exceedingly sweet, overcome with the relief of finally resting alongside the one he cherished most. He felt his heart gradually pummel harshly.
He moves atop of you, needing to hold your body closer. You wrap your arms around his sturdy neck, continuing the passionate display. His breathing rolls heavily from his lips, consumed by passion.
He misses your warmth. Your scent. Your embrace.
He'd spent so long beneath frigid, lonely sheets. Exhausting his body to its very core for those around him. Weary and miserable.
He needed you desperately. More than he had needed oxygen.
His soothing hands caress your thigh, tenderly pushing your gown up.
"Can I?" he asks, ensuring you felt safe.
You nod, permitting his entry. His fingers travel over your thighs, to your very clit. His slender fingers trail along your slit, leisurely gathering slick. Filthy noises echo as his digits continuously glide.
Your hands maneuver along his back, as you whine delicately against him. Starved so long from his touch, you were greedy. Endlessly greedy.
You prompted your thighs against his waist, suggesting a desire for more, much more. He groans and sits up, grasping the opposing sides of your thighs. You could feel his impending love, grazing against your sex. It pulsed and twitched, longingly to be embedded within your warmth.
With a gentle push, he softly slides himself within you. He almost falls forward, releasing a pleasurable gasp. Your inner-walls grasped at him intently, almost hindering his movement. He pants, attempting to consolidate his thoughts into one.
With a sharp inhale, he carefully begins to roll his hips into you. Sensual, soft movements, disinterested in forcing himself from your comfort. Though you provided unending pleasure, all he longed for was to be with you again. Feel your connection. Your intimacy.
And you pleaded for it too. You cup his cheek, coaxing him to come closer. To hear his sighs of pleasure, to feel his pulse of ecstasy. And he does. He lowers his face inches from you and kisses you. He continuously assures of how much he loves you. Adored you. Treasured you.
Over and over, lips graced along each other, momentarily separated for breath, before rekindling again in a moment of euphoria.
“Soft… so soft.”, he babbled, prompting his lips to the tender skin of your neck.
Your fingers glide to his back, caressing gently. Muscled and firm. Your unexpected touch had driven him to tilt his head back in delight, overwhelmed. Even your smallest details would strike him deeply.
His shaft endlessly pumping within you, a lewdful display. He was overcome with love, whining pleasurable groans into the air. And you followed. This was marvelling. He was only angelic.
Your cunt flutters tenderly around him as he repeatedly pleases you, driving you to squirm deep inside.
He felt himself to finish soon, a surge of bliss rising within him. His thrusts grew briefly clumsy and hasty.
Pushing him towards his impending climax, you whine thoughtlessly.
“I love you, Tomioka!”
And it finishes him.
With a harsh push, his cock spurts ropes of love within you. Buried into you, he plunges every ounce of his desire deeply to you. The air is coated thickly with your unending affections for the other.
So long without each other's love, there was not a greater peace than this moment.
With hasty and drowsy eyes, he lies in the same position, unconcerned with pulling himself away from you. He was quick to drift to slumber, resting against your breast. Your fingers caught in his dark hair, you felt yourself submerged in the soft seas of paradise.
