the thing about tiktok is that it’s so easy to come up with ideas that exploit your everyday, sincere interactions into bastardized snippets that try to capitalize on the sacred bonds u hold with the people you love most everyday, but to actually go through with it & revolve your life around trying to commodify relationships genuinely is so sad and has to be actually putrid after a certain point
#getting one of my mom’s random doodles tattooed on me on Thursday#and i was like ‘i want someone to film her reaction!’ at first#but now im like i actually really don’t#i don’t want her to feel like she has to look a certain way or act a certain way#or be ashamed that she looks or acted a certain way on camera#when she should just be able to live that experience and own it for herself#and saw a vid of a woman who wrote a song abt her dad for her father daughter dance#and was like “watch me show my dad the song I made for him ;) he cried!!!!’’#and it was sweet but mostly it was kind of creepy and intrusive that I was there for that moment too#like some things are just meant for each other not for the entire world

i miss when nature documentaries were juicy (showed real not cgi animals and told you actual fact about stuff)

I haven't been blogging about films much lately but it's 'cause I've been watching all these old czech films and well there aren't any posts made about them but I also don't feel like making them myself
#hana's random text posts#watched the first czech sound film#but unfortunately the czech copy is lost and the only copy that exists is in french so actually all the text was in french#and I had to have my translator open to translate since my french isn't that good#it was a story about a sex worker who got shamed by everyone for going with a deathrow criminal#it's called tonka of the gallows#i watched a silent film about a lawyer who basically drinks himself to poverty after he finds his wife cheating on him#actually a lot of our films from the 20s are about the people at the edges of society#like poverty is definitely a recurring theme
