hey!! :3 do u have any reccs for hermits to try out?? ive been watching since s6, but i only ever kept up with mumbo&grian and i wanna show more love to other hermits, BUT.... idk where to start!! :o
o/!
each one of the hermits have their own vibe! depending on what kind of style of video you like - if ur branching out from mumbo and grian i highly recommend watching scar, ren, etho, tango, or zedaph!
scar’s videos are relatively chill, with a good portion of terraforming/building timelapses and other shenanigans with the hermits. earlier in the season, he had quite a few interactions/videos with grian - currently, he’s collabing quite a bit with bdubs!
ren’s editing (imo) is probably one of the bests in the hermits - he’s currently doin an entire storyline with the Renpire, a star wars spin-off kind of thing! if that interests you i’d recommend taking a look at his vids (even if you dont know anything abt star wars its still very very interesting to watch)
etho this season is pure bastard energy, he has lots of interaction with beef recently, working on his noteblock stuff as an. ahem. employee. Otherwise he pretty much likes to cause problems on purpose. (be prepared to witness noteblock wizardry)
tango is high energy! his entire theme this season is cartoon-y stuff, and his commentary reflects that. he has plenty of interactions with a variety of the hermits! if you think mumbo’s farms lag the server, you rly gotta take a look at tango’s -inators this season... he’s also one of the boomers so ur gonna be seeing a lot of fun interactions with bdubs, impulse, and any of his clients!
zedaph has one braincell but its a very good one - this season he’s focused on making his Cave of Contraptions(tm), a big cave in a mountain he dug up filled with redstone contraptions that do a Thing in the most unconventional and fun way possible! Every single zedaph episode feels like a fever dream but in the best way possible. (also his intro is an absolute BANGER)
hope this gives a bit of insight! godspeed B)
#hermitcraft#goodtimeswithscar#rendog#ethoslab#tangotek#zedaph#a few honorable mentions in the tags:#iskall who you probably already know of from the architech stuff#he has a highly contagious laugh and is overall very OMEGA to watch#bdubs is also very good#if you watch some of scars videos you can get a good vibe of how he talks and acts#hes an AMAZING builder also#overall plenty of the hermits appear in eachothers videos!#watching hermit recap also gives a good vibe check#Anonymous

hermitcraft propaganda: a season 8 addendum
so. you wanna hermicraft because someone told you it was a fun, lighthearted vanilla minecraft smp series?
do not proceed. instead, please refer to the season 7 masterpost for more information.
you wanna watch hermitcraft because you wanna see these family friendly minecraft veterans go batshit feral with a beaming smile on their face as the world shatters around them?
welcome to hermitcraft season 8.
Where Do I Start Watching?
start with grian.
watch the ceo of buildmart in his natural habitat, building a breathtaking base and playing pranks on his friends. his videos are always a good mix of building and shenanigans with the other hermits. he also tends to instigate a ton of chaos. in general, very entertaining to watch. has absolutely zero redstone knowledge/content though
(if you’re looking for someone like grian but slightly to the left and who also attempts redstone, try bdoubleo100).
check out hermitcraft recap.
zlopxp and pixlriffs write and upload weekly recap videos on everything that has been happening on the server. if you’re truly lost on where to start, start here. when i first got into hermitcraft, i would watch the recap videos to see what everyone was up to. and if something someone did sounded interesting, i would then check out that hermit’s episode/channel.
official hermitcraft website with links to every member’s channel
more information on every hermit’s attributes and general vibes
official hermitcraft wiki
for more info.
------------------
If my intro wasn’t enough to convince you and you want more info, here are
(Some Changes To) The Basics
“vanilla” minecraft
gameplay is still, for all intents and purposes, in survival vanilla minecraft all megabuilds and redstone engineering were created in 1.17 vanilla minecraft
completely new world. everyone starting fresh.
as always, you Do Not need to watch any previous hermitcraft seasons to start watching season 8. each season can be essentially seen as its own independent series
so just jump right in and start with episode 1.
shorter season - 6 months
in the past, hermitcraft seasons have lasted around a year, if not longer. season 8 only lasted 6 months, starting on june 19, 2021 and ending on december 22, 2021.
and at an average upload speed of 1 video per week, this makes the season a lot easier to binge. if you’re looking for something to get you through the content drought over the holidays, look no further than a hermit’s season 8 episode playlist.
here are mumbo’s comments on the shorter season, if you’re curious.
minecraft proximity chat mod enabled
this was a new feature added this season that elevated the inherent collaborative nature of hermitcraft and really brought the place to life. there were a lot more spontaneous interactions between the hermits as they didn’t necessarily have to plan a discord call in order to talk to each other.
two new members: Pearlescentmoon and Geminitay
go give them some love, they did wonderful their first hermitcraft season!!
base-sharing and close-knit districts
in the past seasons, everyone would build their own base in their designated corner of the hermitcraft server.
this season, all the hermits were confined to the same island/continent and had to get creative. many formed districts with their immediate neighbors. some pairs decided to share a base.
there was a lot more collaborative building projects this season given the space limitation.
no centralized shopping district
most hermits built shops near their bases or in their districts. some have small pop up stands around the island. others have travelling businesses.
massive breathtaking builds and genius redstone engineering
it is still hermitcraft after all.
------------------
More Important Additions
Server-Wide Lore.
lore? in my hermitcraft? it’s more likely than you’d think. best of all, it gets really fucking angsty at the end.
(to be fair, there has always been lore in hermitcraft, but they were typically self-contained story arcs that were neatly wrapped up after a few weeks)
the Moon Big plotline began around 4 months into season 8, on november 9, 2021 in grian’s s8 ep 21, and continued on until the very end of the season.
the implications of this plot may continue on into season 9, but we won’t know until the season starts.
xisumavoid also has an entire plotline this season involving his villainous alter-ego Evil Xisuma, who has made an appearance in previous seasons. feel free to watch his videos this season, as his lore also involved several other hermits.
Hermatrix: An ARG (Alternate Reality Game) by Rendog and Docm77
listen. i watched doc’s episodes this season, and my brain could barely understand his game-breaking redstone engineering, let alone the entire arg he and ren crafted this season.
so i will graciously defer to the experts on this one.
hermatrix explained by ssilentwillow
hermatrix page on the hermitcraft wiki
check out the hermitcraft reddit for even more info. and the r/hermitcraft discord has channels specifically dedicated to the arg, if you’re interested in that.
note: the ARG does influence the lore in their episodes, but you do not need to understand it to watch ren or doc’s episodes this season. the arg is also only relevant in their episodes and does not influence the other hermit’s episodes/perspectives.
------------------
Some Final Comments
season 8 is by far the most experimental and creative hermitcraft season to date. everything, from the insane builds to the mind-bending game-breaking redstone to the increased amount of collaboration between hermits to the overarching plot to the end of the season, has been absolutely Incredible to watch. it’s still a lot of fun. it’s still mostly lighthearted. it’s still basically vanilla minecraft. it’s still the hermitcraft we’ve all come to know and love, just with a bit More.
i wholeheartedly mean this when i say this season has seen some of the best minecraft smp content on youtube.
if you’ve made it to the end of this addendum, i hope you check out hermitcraft season 8. you won’t regret it. and if you do, please feel free to come yell at me in my inbox.
as always, for more information, go to @hermitcraftpropaganda. or shoot me a message.
see you all in season 9.

i'm slowly circling around hermitcraft (i keep telling myself i'm not going to get into another minecraft smp thing, i did my days in the yogscast mines) and it's so compelling. i won't lie. what would you, personally, suggest as a starting point for someone who hasn't watched any of these people before? even without knowing these characters, your hermitcraft fic is so good that i want to learn more about them
yeah see, i told myself that too and then dsmp and 3rd life and hermitcraft happened and. here i am. back in the pits again!! having the time of my life about it ngl.
so, okay, my first caveat would be: fandom does a lot of heavy lifting re: it having a plot. like... i'd say they're less plotty than the yogs were, with season 8 being an honourable exception. so don't go in expecting that my fic has uhhhhh. really any relation to canon lmao. (though to be fair, it didn't really in yogs either, so...)
first option: watch an episode of Hermitcraft Recap (a channel that does a weekly "what happened on hermitcraft this week" highlights video), see if any of the things mentioned take your fancy, and then check out the channel of the hermit that did it. this is good if you're hunting for someone doing a specific Thing in minecraft, rather than streamer personality.
second option: see the rec list below, and check out one of those people's season 8. season 8 is now over, but it was very short compared to regular seasons - so a lot of the excitement gets compressed and amped up, and it's a good way to really get an idea of what people are about. it will give you an unrealistic idea of how plotty hermitcraft gets, especially the end, because they went absolutely off the shits with that one, but it's a great season.
third option: see the rec list below, and jump straight into season 9 - either at the beginning of someone's series, or at the current point, or skip around through various people's things. we're like 20-ish eps in, depending on the person, but honestly it's pretty easy to dip in and out; we just had a big Plot Development with rendog getting crowned king of the server, so it's a good time to start! rec list (biased to the people i watch, obvs! the others are great too, but these are my faves), to help you decide who to pick:
Literally unhinged impossible redstone, constantly on his villain arc, (and tomato plants?): DocM77
Very good redstone, also extremely funny: TangoTek (also makes excellent noises), MumboJumbo (on break atm. i miss him :( ), Zedaph (he's doing. weird shit this season, but i support him in his quest to be a lunatic)
Incredible building, but also chaos-gremlin energy: BdoubleO100 (excellent noises pt.2), Grian (main character energy, tumblr's fave), PearlescentMoon (i am kissing her s9 base directly on the mouth)
Incredible building, really nice voice: GoodTimesWithScar (tumblr's other fave)
Building but also like. weirdly chill-but-horny vibes: Keralis (deliberately), Rendog (on accident)
Literally no idea but you should watch him: Joe Hills (very odd, currently hyperfixated on pinball machines, i find him very soothing for reasons that escape me, writes haikus for his episodes????)
fourth option: some of what you've seen from me will be from 3rd / last / double life, a bunch of semi-hardcore "death games" series run by grian and involving a bunch of hermits (plus some other friends, including inthelittlewood from the yogscast!). these are great, and i watched these before hermitcraft, and then based who i was watching in hc on what i'd seen there. double life is happening rn and we're only 3 eps in, so it'd be easy to catch up! it's basically a soulmate au but in minecraft, because grian is insane; i'm really enjoying BdoubleO100, PearlescentMoon, Tango, Rendog, and Grian (Scar is on a weird zookeeping arc, godbless, so he's in my bad books until he starts killing again. otherwise, the go-to rec is Grian or Scar's pov of 3rd Life, which sent me fucking insane.

i just got into mc let’s plays of any kind a month or so ago, and into hermitcraft around the same time via gem, but i am,,, lost. i’ve only really watched gem and pearl, and impulse’s streams will autoplay while i’m not paying attention. if i want to really jump into this hyperfixation, where do i start? how much content am i getting into? should i watch everyone’s videos or can i mostly pick and choose? what about double life?
i’m glad i can hop in while it’s current, but i have NO idea where to go/how to catch up/how much real lore there is, and i’ve seen so much fan content that i do not understand lmao
thank you!!
Welcome to MCYT! I'm so happy others are still getting into it! You are joining at a fantastic time honestly, the content is top-notch and the fandom is thriving.
Now the one thing I say to people getting into anything mcyt related is, please do not try to watch everyone's content, whether it be videos or streams. That is the fastest way to burn out and there are about a billion content creators, so it will eventually start to feel like a chore to try and keep up with everything.
I currently watch an absurd amount of mcyt content and even then there are only about 5-6 people that I watch everything they produce consistently. The best thing you can do is have a few people you main and just pop into other videos occasionally to see what they are doing.
Thankfully there is very little that you need to know to get into hermitcraft, even on an episode to episode basis. Lore tends to be really, really informal on the server, with the exception of season 8. I want to say lore is generally more of a plot device to encourage hermit interactions, rather than a strict story with characters and plot lines.
I saw you've seen my post on getting into hermitcraft and how you should start with season 9 - I still recommend that. Season 9 is currently hitting mid-season which is when hermits start focusing on their mega bases and mega projects. It's not too far into the season so you should be able to catch up quickly if you find a few hermits that you like. But I know it can be daunting to hop into a season that's 20-30 episodes in, so honestly, I would just watch the latest episode from a hermit you want to watch and see if you like the vibes. You can always re-watch the backlog later.
To start finding a hermit to like I suggest either watching one and branching out from there (or the “Grian Effect(TM)” as Redwinterroses calls it lmao) or another great way to see which hermits you could vibe with is to watch the hermitcraft recap. They summarise the best things that happened that week on the server and give a great run down of the different hermits. Check out the hermitcraft site for a full list of members and latest videos.
Some personal suggestions though if you like Gem and Pearl is GoodTimesWithScar, VintageBeef, Cubfan, False and Impulse. Also I'm being incredibly biased when I say this because he is my favourite, but Etho has just started his season so if you want to watch along with everyone else you should check out his videos!
What kind of things do you like watching or what things are you looking for? I can give some better recs if needed :)
If you are looking for something a little more story heavy and with a touch more lore, Empires season 2 has just started and its also looking incredibly promising. It's not affiliated with hermitcraft, but there is a little crossover with the members so the vibes are good over there as well. I think the full member list is on the Empires Wiki.
Now Double Life is part of a series separate to hermitcraft run by Grian that just happens to have a lot of hermits in it lol You don't have to watch double life to watch hermitcraft, it's more of a short-form, death games series that's very personality-driven. It's a great way to see a bunch of different creators hanging with people they normally wouldn't.
You've got 3rd Life (season 1), Last Life (s2) and Double Life (s3) and thankfully you don't have to watch the previous seasons to appreciate any of the others. Bit of self promo here lol but I actually have viewing guides for which POV's to watch for both 3rd Life and Last Life if you want to check it out.
But yeah, some fan content can be a little obscure lol You're welcome at anytime to come ask me questions for things that just seem to come out of no where. Like how Rendog is now king of the server, which is definitely a throw back to how he became the Red King on 3rd Life but he only became king there because he was wearing a skin with a crown on it from winning MCC (blue bats 9 my beloved). It's all messy and super intertwined, and sometimes it doesn’t make sense at all but most people in hermitblr are super happy to answer any questions and love to ramble as much as me lol
I agree that it can be super confusing about knowing where to start so I hope this helped. Thankfully I'm more familar with the hermitcraft/empires/life series side of mcyt but I did do a little bit of time in dsmp so if you have any questions for there, just let me know :)
#hermitcraft#hermitblr#double life smp#mcyt#sorry this took so long to answer#and im so sorry this became a short essay lmao#im a rambler lol and can never make up my mind what to write#berry.posts#berry.asks

HC Server-wide event featuring many laughs and fun moments? Hell yes I’m here for it! The Hermitcraft Easter Egg Hunt is genuinely an incredible idea and so far super well executed by Jevin, so here’s a quick recap of what we know!
Participants - 19 in total! In alphabetical order;
Bdubs, Beef, Cleo, Cub, Doc, False, Grian, Hypno, Impulse, Iskall, Jevin, Joe, Pearl, Scar, Stress, Wels, xB, Xisuma, Zedaph
17th April was the deadline for eggy hiding, and now the participating hermits all have until Tuesday/Wednesday to find as many hermit eggs as possible around their bases.
Scoring system works as follows; Number of eggs hidden (18 max) minus the number of eggs found by other hermits. Jevin has also planned a tiebreaker if multiple hermits end up with the same score!
Several of the hermits have shown some of their hiding shennanigans in recent videos, so I’ll link all those with some of my favourite moments under the cut for spoiler reasons! And I’ll make another post after all the hunting videos have been posted with a recap roundup!
Also, Hermits who have worn their egg as a hat count; Cub, Grian, Iskall, Scar, Impulse, Xisuma
Bdubs - Showed a little bit of hiding in his video! Had a brief interaction with Cub about it, and fell for one of Iskall’s “good” hiding spots that he made to trick hermits lol.
Beef - Didn’t show any hiding, just signing up and collecting his easter basket. He also made an interior for his starter base at spawn to make it more fair for the other hermits trying to hide eggs and actually didn’t create any good hiding spots.
Cleo - No hidey, just sign up.
Cub - Showed quite a few of his hiding places. Also showed his side of the interaction with Bdubs and found Xisuma stuck in his cactus farm trying to hide an egg.
Doc - Both sign up and collection for hiding shown in his video. He hid a few, called his egg Lil Doccy, said he felt fatherly towards it, made some extras for himself, and then fed one to Garry the Goat.
False - She was the first to collect her basket and hid a few on camera, also held her eggs in her hands (Calling them a girl group, maracas, bees, and maggots...). Definitely wanted to keep one for herself.
Grian - Signed up and collected his easter basket (it was named Grain). Hid a couple on camera and his little egg is now a manbun. Followed in Keralis’ footsteps of claiming that this was the best day of his life, better than when he got married lmaooo.
Hypno - Only has his sign up in the video. UPDATE! New video hidey hide. Jevin named Hypno’s instruction book as “Smelly boy”...rude. He also shows a few examples of where he has hidden his eggs.
Impulse - Sign up only. UPDATE! New video shows that he is the third last to hide his eggs, but hide he does! Only shows a few examples on camera. Also wears his little egg as a manbun.
Iskall - Please watch the chaos of his and Stress’ interactions around signing up for the egg hunt. Oh my god I was in stitches. Also collected his basket and showed some illegal sneaky hiding. (Jevin clarified the rules and made him change one, please don’t go and give out in his comments).
Jevin - Didn’t show any hiding of eggs but his last two videos have explained rules etc for the actual event. Would highly recommend checking them both out!
Joe - Has both sign up and collecting the basket in his video, but no hiding. Apparently Iskall paid the commissioned artist extra to make the Joe eggs as his normal skin instead of the Rick Astley april fool’s skin hahaha.
Pearl - Doesn’t show anything in her latest video, however her vibes are very this season so I would reccommend watching it regardless.
Scar - Collects his easter basket and shows a few hiding spots on camera. His main aim is to make the other hermits laugh when they find his eggs rather than trying to win. Also accidently blows up something under Cleo’s base while Hypno just watches and laughed.
Stress - Signed up in a previous episode (and showed her POV of the Iskall interaction, again 10/10 would recommend watching) and collects her easter basket. Shows all of her hiding places on camera taking some hints from the Iskall school of cheating sneaky hiding. She wants to win really bad. Does almost get caught by Zed, but he is a good sport and gives her 5 minutes lmao.
Wels - No video from Wels, but he is signed up to play so hopefully we will get a video of the easter egg hunt!
xB - Collects his easter basket and shows a few places where he hid the little eggsB eggs. He also, like a madman, gave the coordinates for his mega base as the place where other hermits can hide eggs. This man lives in a massive cave. I admire him a lot.
Xisuma - Signs up for the hunt, and then shows a montage of him changing his skin a few times to some “egg” designs (he didn’t specify easter eggs lol) from the community to become Egg-suma. He will be hiding them in the next episode. UPDATE! Xisuma has uploaded a new video where he shows him hiding some of his eggs! He forgets to use his checklist at first and hides eggs in Keralis’ and Gem’s bases lol.
Zedaph - Just shows his collection of his easter basket, no hidey hidey.

So, after putting it off for over a year I kinda want to start watching hermitcraft... any recommendations for pov or anything bc there's kind of a lot of videos lmao
!! yeah
everyone says to start with grian if you're not sure about who to watch and for good reason - he's got a type of editing style that holds your attention for long and he interacts often with everyone else so it's a good glimpse into what the other hermits are doing. i watch etho and scar mostly nowadays, they're both interesting pov's and etho in particular is hilarious because this man is just. vibing. there could be three different things happening in the background of the server while etho just does whatever he wants, it's great. scar has a general feel-good vibe, the 'good times' in goodtimeswithscar is not a lie. he's also amazing at terraforming!
+ bdubs is a very good pov if you want to watch someone go absolutely feral for over ~25 minutes
some links:
here's a reddit post with a tool that lets you check boxes and it'll give you a recommendation based on those preferences.
the hermit recap channel (covers all the hermits, so you can keep up with everyone and what they're up to/find new pov's), and a post about recurring lore in hc.
i'd recommend skimming/going through a couple of videos or the recap channel to see which pov's you like, though honestly you can probably jump in from anywhere and have it make sense. hope you have fun watching! :D

with hermitcraft season 7 slowly coming to an end, i figured it was time to consolidate all of the Informative Posts about hermitcraft that i and some of the other members of hermitblr have made over the last several months.
if you enjoy:
minecraft youtube content, but want to see more traditional vanilla minecraft gameplay like building and redstone
fun, lighthearted interactions between genuine friends including Elaborate pranks, collaborating on massive projects, light roleplay, proximity voice chat mod
weekly 20 - 40 minute long youtube videos and consistent upload schedules
chill grind stream weekends where CCs interact with chat and each other
an entire youtube channel dedicated to weekly 20-minute recap videos on what all the hermits have been up to so you don’t have to piece it together from the posts on your dash/timeline
insanely talented people who have been doing mcyt for nearly, if not more than, a decade and essentially built minecraft youtube from the ground up
give hermitcraft a try!
you will find all of the information you will Ever Need below the cut. it’s Very Long so view it on desktop.
and if you ever have any more questions, just shoot me an ask :)
what is hermitcraft?
the Basics: what, who, where, how
more details on the Basics
bonus: the historical impact many hermitcraft members have had on mcyt
where do i even start watching?
start with grian.
good mix of Incredible builds and fun server shenanigans. instigator of many server-wide events. interacts with many other hermits. generally entertaining to watch. but zero redstone knowledge.
check out hermitcraft recap.
great way to be introduced to other hermits and learn what everyone’s up to. if you find what a hermit’s been working on interesting, go watch their video and maybe give them a like and subscribe.
official hermitcraft website with links to every member’s channel
more information on every hermit’s attributes and general vibes
do hermits every stream?
short answer: yes, most do! but these streams are mostly chill grinding or buildling streams. and you don’t have to watch the streams to be caught up on content. check the official hermitcraft website for each member’s twitch links.
long answer that covers most of the hermits
what do they do on hermitcraft?
let’s start with some examples of their incredible builds.
hermit cribs: some of the megabases in s7
goodtimeswithscar’s s7 magical village with shaders
stressmonster’s bakery and ren’s star wars world
Capitalism
they have a shopping district where hermits can set up shops and sell items and resources that other hermits can buy with diamonds. here’s season 7 shopping district set on a mooshroom island:
some of the most advanced redstone you’ve ever seen
if you’re more into the technical side of minecraft, you can be rest assured that hermitcraft has some of the Biggest Brains in redstone.
tangotek: a fucking madlad. Singled-handedly created the minigame Decked Out. im Begging you to watch his tutorial video on how to play. currently finishing up his Among Us but in minecraft minigame. all of this was built Entirely in survival vanilla minecraft. get this man to 1M subscribers.
mumbo jumbo: the man himself. built a 128 x 128 block industrial district in both season 6 and 7 packed to the Brim with mechanical farms. half the brain behind the masterpiece of engineering that was Sahara in season 6. currently working on Pacific, the sequel to Sahara, in season 7.
iskall85: the other half of the brain behind Sahara and working on Pacific with mumbo in season 7. also has an industrial district like mumbo’s in season 7.
xisuma: built an automatic potion brewer in the second half of season 7. this thing churns out potions by the Shulker Box. can also turn a shulker box full of potions into splash potions and extend duration all with a press of a button.
impulseSV: incredible example of form + function. farms are scattered throughout his base. he has a farm for nearly every farmable resource in vanilla minecraft.
etho: the pioneer of some of the most widely used redstone mechanisms to date. content isn’t super redstone-focused. mostly does compact modules that serve a specific function.
zedaph: makes strange contraptions. he’s basically if grian knew how to redstone. impeccable vibes and fairly underrated.
bdoubleo100: he occassionally does this segment called “redstone with bdubs” and it’s the only redstone i understand so that’s why he’s here.
what about roleplay? and lore?
yeah they have Plenty of that too.
it generally comes in the form of self-contained storylines that involve most members on the server and take place over the course of several weeks in multiple videos. it’s fairly light roleplay, if that’s not your thing. but the plotlines also have a Massive Potential to be angsty and whatnot if you really look into it, which a lot of people also do.
here’s a more in-depth look into the Major Plotlines over the last 2 seasons (season 6 and 7). huge spoiler warning though.
um also there’s this post that highlights how truly cursed hermitcraft can be if you dig deep enough hahaha.
so do the hermits only make hermitcraft content?
nope!! many of them are involved in other mcyt content as well and are friends with other prominent members of the mcyt community!!
MCC
mcc9 blue bats video essay: the time the hermit team won the whole damn competition. a wonderfully made video worth Every second of your time. especially if you don’t typically watch the hermit teams.
falsesymmetry: mcc10 ace and mcc’s First Back-to-Back Winner
lord grian dreamslayer: that time grian Popped Off, killing dream, tubbo, and fundy in mcc9 survival games
Vault Hunters
a modded minecraft server coded entirely by iskall85′s team. all the content is streamed live on twitch.
current members are: Iskall85, AntonioAsh, Stressmonster101, HBomb94, CaptainSparklez, Fundy, CaptainPuffy, 5UP and Tubbo
more info on the series
3rd Life SMP
hardcore minecraft server with a twist that started on 4/20/21. all content is posted to each member’s respective youtube channels.
every member has 3 lives, as indicated by the color of their name: green for 3 lives left, yellow for 2, red for 1. if they lose all three lives, they can only spectate the world (like in hardcore mode). the series ends when all members have lost all three lives.
the twist: once a member is on their 3rd and final life, as indicated by a red name, they are Hostile and their goal is to take the lives of the remaining players.
the members (hermits are italicized): BdoubleO100, bigbst4tz2, Etho, GoodTimesWithScar, Grian, impulseSV, InTheLittleWood, Renthedog, Skizzleman, Smajor1995, Smallishbeans, SolidarityGaming, Tango, ZombieCleo
the tumblr tag for 3rd Life is “#3rdLife”, “#3rdLifeSMP” and “#3LSMP” if you wanna see more content, as it’s Not supposed to be cross-tagged with “#hermitcraft”.
do you have any free serotonin to spare?
here’s a bunch of posts that’ll make you smile
scar’s friendship with a bunch of the hermits
grian, false, cleo, bdubs, iskall: why they deserve so much respect
same post as above but with an addition about ren
small hermit things that give you serotonin
why you should watch tfc
if you’ve made it this far you are Contractually Obligated* to watch one (1) hermitcraft episode and reblog this post.
*for legal reason, this is a joke. you’re not contractually obligated but consider this: Please. i spent way too much time on this.
shoutout to everyone who’s posts i’ve linked and anyone who has helped answer a question about hermitcraft. this all started because i was frustrated that people were writing the hermits off as cannon fodder in mcc and im genuinely so glad that many of you have given hermitcraft a shot.

Note
hey just wondering: how did you get into hermitcraft? like who did you start with. have been trying for a while but there..... is so much....
i personally started with watching grian’s content - since he and mumbo are quite Big on youtube, i watched mostly their other stuff. tho after a bit i got interested in what this hermitcraft stuff everyone was talking about and started watching grians season 7 stuff. though after that i checked out hermit recaps and started watching other (xisuma, tango, scar, iskall, and joe) hermits videos.
who you watch is purely personal preference - every hermit has a different Vibe. also, watching hermit recaps can probably give you a gist of whats goin on outside of the ppl you watch!
good luck!
