No wonder you easily recognised this mysterious, highly proficient sniper as your bf/ex who had disappeared one night without a trace.

Detective Conan Movie 27 (SPOILER WARNING)

I know I mentioned that movie 26 was the best one of all Detective Conan movies but I am wrong. Movie 27 exceeded my usual Conan movie franchise expectations.

First and foremost, it was good to see the Gosho boys all again in one screen with longer scenes. It was even nicer to see all main 3 couples (Shin/Conan+Ran, Heiji+Kazuha, Kaito/Aoko).

Secondly, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka was in this movie and I did not even know it. His first scene alone made me go "this dude's voice sounds very much like Kirito" and had to google in the middle of the movie (don't copy me kids, enjoy the movie without checking your phone). And when I confirmed it was him, I was teary the whole movie. (And was maybe swooning over his voice during his scenes especially the last bit). Also, our dear harem king playing a character who wears black kendo uniform and was good with a sword was funny to me.

Thirdly, it was refreshing to see them focus on other couples instead of the usual Shinichi/Conan/Ran.

Lastly, the post-credit scene was a shocker! The fact that they emphasise the whole "Kaito looks like Shinichi" was mind blowing to me. (I am not updated with the manga so this info was very new to me).

The only complain about this movie is the inconsistent animation style. You can tell which scenes they put the higher budget and which ones was half-a**ed.

Overall, this was an enjoyable watch. Definitely better than its predecessor.

Just finished watching Detective Conan Movie 26: Black Iron Submarine to prepare for watching M27, and I can honestly say it was such a great movie!

First one to get my heart pumping from among one of dc’s latest movies in a while. Great action scenes from Conan, Ran and also the one with Akai. Ngl Shiho calling him ‘Shinichi-kun’ was cute. The scene where they were swimming up to the surface was beautiful, and with the accompanying soundtrack to boot! I absolutely loved all the callbacks to the previous bo movies and bo members (like Irish and Curacao), as well as Haibara’s association of Ran with Akemi. Speaking of Ran, my baby was absolutely badass in this movie. Again ngl, Haibara’s feelings toward Shinichi and Ran really give me a lot of angst. She just loves Shinichi a lot, but I can also say she loves Ran just as equally, if not more so she really exemplifies that sort of selfless love. Speaking of angst, it was a tiny moment, but Shinichi’s forlorn look as he looks at his tiny arms and being unable to physically save Ran as he is now really got to me for some reason.

And speaking of callbacks, I do love how Vermouth once again, despite her moral greyness, still acts with Shinichi’s words and Ran’s actions in mind that you really don’t need a reason to save someone, that despite that she hates Shiho, it can be something as having a Fusae brooch in exchange.

I hope M27 will prove to be as great if not better.

DC movie 26 SPOILERS‼️

I just watched detective Conan movie 26 and I’m actually crying🥹. Like what Shiho did at the end proves that even if she loves shinichi she knows he’s not hers to love , and when she said “ I gave you back your lips” to Conan after she kissed ran ( because she kissed him to earlier ) JUST AGHHH🥹. Also when rei and akai ACTUALLY worked together it was just so 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 and the fact they called each other by their code names * chefs kiss* ( btw I don’t ship them but I admire the fact that they worked together so they could save others.

it's been 3 years since i last followed the Detective Conan canon. watching Movie 26 today reminded me about how over the top epic the Conan action scenes are.

my conclusion: Shinichi and KID are made for each other. forget everything else.

are you aware of what will happen in the movie 26? according to the alleged kiss between Conan and Ai?

Hello Anon! I've been getting questions about the movie 26 for a while now, and now that there's more information, I'll answer. I don't watch DC movies, but I've been on twitter lately, and I've found out absolutely everything. I will make a long answer as it has been extremely controversial, and because I feel some points need to be clarified.

Yes, I am aware of the scene, and I know the spoilers are true. That kiss (actually CPR) does happen.

In this regard, first of all, I take this opportunity to say that nothing justifies the chaos and hatred that has been formed. As much as you love ShinRan, they are fictional characters in a fictional series and nothing justifies wishing Gosho Aoyama dead (I've seen memes of him in coffins!). It has been an unnecessary and childish drama.

On the other hand, I can understand the annoyance. I myself, as soon as I read the scene in detail, which is verified by many sources, felt uncomfortable, even more knowing that Gosho in interviews said that he had personally made this scene. Apparently the scene is: Conan loses consciousness in the ocean and Haibara does a CPR. On the way out, Haibara's inner voice says, "You don't know, but we kissed." They then run into Ran, and Haibara pretends to be unconscious so Ran can give her CPR to return the Conan's kiss. Totally unnecessary scene! So, I can understand the annoyance of some people, since, just now that they are an official couple, and after years without any content, they decide to make a movie with this fanservice, which, considering their couple status, it feel uncomfortable and out of place. Even so, you can feel upset/sad/disappointed, but generating such a level of hate and lack of control, that even the official DC account has had to issue an official statement, is absurd!

It is also important to understand that the movies are not canon and don't affect the plot at all. In fact, I don't even see them! Likewise, all the sources don't show anything romantic, and it is clear that the couple is Shinichi and Ran, and nothing else, so there is no implication in the canon. On the other hand, I also don't think that Gosho, as some now say, is now supporting CoAi for this scene, he simply wanted to play with the non-canon scenario making a shocking scene that he would never do in the manga, and he didn't think about the impact that would generate.

In any case, I think that, despite everything, something positive can be drawn from this. It's obvious that the Detective Conan staff knows the displeasure, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a ShinRan case very soon, in an attempt to put out the fire xD

I know it won't happen in canon but after i watched detective conan movie 26 i started to ship Shiho and Naomi

They're just so cute and i really feel that Naomi had a crush on Shiho when they were younger

I hope that in the ending she will show up and at the least be friends with Shiho

Umm i think NaoShiho would be a pretty cute ship name for them
