you were having a shit day. your classes were hard (which you knew because your program was hard) but worked also sucked. your coworkers were being bitchy and you just wanted to go to bed. you had been texting will here and there when you could during work.

7pm could not have come faster. all you wanted was to hug will. you least favorite coworker, lexi, walks over about 15 minutes before your shift ended and says, "hey y/n, do you think you can clean and reorganize the back shelf before you go? there's so much and i don't wanna do it but the manager says i can't leave until it's done."

"i'll help you start on it. but i'm off in 15 minutes so i will be leaving in 15 minutes. if you have a problem with that, talk to the manager but i'm not staying for an extra half an hour because your too lazy to do your actual job."

"what did you just say to me?" she scoffs. you roll your eyes and start wiping down everything at your station, "you heard me. i will help you start it but i'm leaving at 7. stop pawning off the work that you don't wanna do onto me, right before i leave so you can go early. i have a life outside this place too contrary to popular belief."

"oh yeah? like what?"

"like classes, a boyfriend, i'm in 3 clubs, and i have an internship."

"who would date you?" she scoffs, right as will walks in. you turn to see him and smile for the first time that day. you give him a short wave and sits at a table to wait for you. you point at him and say, "that's my boyfriend. and right on time for the end of my shift. good luck with the back shelf."

you giggle and clock out leaving her in shambles to do her actual job. you walk over to will and relax into his hold, finally feeling at peace with the day. he says rubbing her back, "come on. i gotta surprise for you back at the apartment."

you nod and he leads you to the car and drives you back to his place. during the drive, he's holding your hand and has his playlist on quietly. the drive back to his place was short. and when you get there, you see a mini fort of blankets and pillows set up with the new season of outer banks qued up on the screen and food out on the table.

you turn to face him and he has a small smile on his face. you ask, "what's all this?"

he shrugs, "just a little something. you seemed like you were having a bad day and i wanted to cheer you up." you feel you heart clench at his words and hug him tightly. you mumble against his chest, "this is perfect. thank you babe."

"anytime. now come on, dinner is probably cold and you got me hooked on the show and i need to know what happens."

you giggle and cuddle up to him with your food and blankets as he hits play. about 2 episodes in, you ditch your food and fully curl into will's side. he kisses your head and says, "i hope this made you feel a little better baby."

"it did. your the best will." you say pressing a kiss to his lips. you lean your head on his shoulder and focus back on the tv. you end up falling asleep halfway through the next episode and will picks you up and brings you to bed. he kisses your forehead and says, "sweet dreams beautiful." and then climbs in next you to cuddle while you sleep.

Chapter 7: My Heart Represents the Moon

Wrecked. This show has absolutely fucking wrecked me. Like...ITSAY/IPYTM-level wrecked. I'm never going to recover. Jam comes to town, and Ms. Hong departs in the absolute saddest episode of the entire series, yet you're still left with a sense of hope amidst the wreckage.

Khaotung motherfucking Thanawat y'all. Gaipa gives us the full range of human emotion this week, from joking with Leng about how he feels sad for Jim losing out on him, to having a full on breakdown as he sings 'The Moon Represents My Heart' at Ms. Hong's cremation. I absolutely knew how talented Khaotung is, but honestly he blew me away this episode. You could feel the layers of sadness as Ms. Hong's sudden death piles up on top of Jim's rejection. The moment Gaipa comes out of the hospital room to tell Jim, Leng and Li Ming that Ms. Hong is gone...I don't think I've ever seen a more accurate depiction of that kind of moment in all of cinema. The way he can't even comprehend it, then can't say it, then it tumbles out and he just crumples...honestly every time I was on the verge of being okay Gaipa would break down again and I would be in shambles. I don't go in much for hyperbole so when I tell you that this is an award-winning performance, know how sincerely I mean that.

Jam's unannounced arrival stirs all kinds of pots over at Jim's house, as Jim finally decides to discuss the New Year's kiss he witnessed with Li Ming at the worst possible time and in the worst possible way, not knowing Jam was there and could hear them. Jim's struggle to accept Li Ming's sexuality is threaded throughout the episode. Jim and Li Ming (of course) fight about it. Then Jim tries to discuss it with Jam calmly but of course that's a fraught conversation because Jam's comments about his own sexuality live rent-free in Jim's head, along with the ghost of Beam's betrayal. Jim eventually seeks Wen's advice, which is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig step forward for him, and of course Wen gently chides him, telling him literally all the things he already knows intellectually but doesn't feel emotionally: that Li Ming being gay isn't a bad thing, that Li Ming isn't gay because of Jim's influence, and that yes, the world might be harder on him because he's gay, but that doesn't mean he can't have a good life. Eventually, Jim and Li Ming settle into a new normal where Jim can tease Li Ming about 'trying' Heart and liking him, and Li Ming can tease Jim back about minding his own business.

The other pot Jam stirs is Li Ming's very presence at Jim's house, as she wants to take him back north with her. Whether Li Ming came to live with Jim before Beam died or after I'm not sure (he may have been with his grandparents before coming to Jim, he mentioned living apart from his mother for '5 or 6 years' and Beam only died 4 years ago), but he's been with Jim for years at this point. Jim has essentially been the one raising him. But Jam's stable now, she's about to get married, to a man with some means, and she wants to try to be a mother again and provide for her son. Jim, surprisingly, tries asking Li Ming what he wants rather than telling him what it's going to be, and the ensuing conversation is a new direction for them, a first stab at a new kind of communication. And we discover that as much as he and Jim fight and argue, Li Ming is clear about who he considers as his parent. As he tells Jim, he's not sure how he feels about his mother, but he knows he loves his uncle.

Jim continues his softening and opening up to Wen, essentially admitting to him that he wants him around, but he's still not quite sure of what that means for them in the future. That sniff kiss Jim gives Wen, aside from somehow being the hottest sniff kiss I've ever seen, is a promise of a kind; it says 'give me time, but yes'.

Side Dishes

I know that Alan/Gaipa scene will make a lot of folks happy.

Alan releasing Wen from the responsibility of taking care of him was hard to watch. He's so sad, and seeing Wen immediately meet Jim as he drives away makes him even sadder. Awww, you'll be ok Alan!

Ms. Hong seems to have left Gaipa a very rich man. I think I have some idea of what he's going to do with that.

Heart's parents finally starting to learn sign...they're trying to make amends and reconnect with their son, and Heart seems to be really happy about that.

Li Ming not making the slightest move to help his mom with her bag at any point was a clear indication of his feelings.

Li Ming not understanding how his mom could have loved his dad and also love her new husband, because she loves them differently is so perfectly, preciously young of him.

So Beam's parents stole everything Jim had except the damn car after Beam's death, and they could do that because Jim had no legal protections as Beam's partner, and Beam put nothing in place for him. He LITERALLY had to start from scratch when Beam died. I think we've finally found some villains in this piece. Also Thai BL continues its marriage equality push.

Jim is FINALLY gonna close that damn diner and I'm happy and sad at the same time. Him deciding not to buy the place and also cancelling the lease is him finally taking a step forward into his life after Beam.

Finale tomorrow! What the hell am I gonna do when this show is over?

Arcane Season Two Review. Spoilers Ahead.

Okay, so I'm still so fresh into season two, and I know I said I'd try not to spoil, but good lord- The beauty of this show. I'm no where close to being finished the absolute wonder this is.

My Thoughts On Episode One (Heavy Is The Crown)

One- I am so sure that flowers are going to be a motif to something and the scene where Caitlyn, Vi and her mother are the only thing colored besides the flower at her mothers funeral? MY GOD. The music is so somber and conveys the character's emotions so beautifully that I'm tearing up in the first few minutes. The love, the care, you can feel it!

2. On love how despite the clear attempt on her life and the pure destruction that Jink has caused, Mel is still a good and just leader. She drew the line at violence on the civilians and I major respect for her. I love how she is also very caring and kind to Caitlyn and hasn't lost her humanity.

It would have been very easy to make her like her mother, but instead she keeps a cool head and is trying to be as civil as possible which is why I love her character. Councilor Salo may very well be a antagonist toward Mel and I am SO here for this. He has such good character motivation.

3. Although the scene may be brief, The pure emotion captured in the bird's eye view of the destroyed councilor building Is beautiful. The councilor's table is made to resemble a clog, since it's an essential part of the city, but now that it is in shambles and broken apart? Perfect symbolism.

4. The quite acceptance that Powder is gone, and the fact that Vi says so Is so perfect to me. Caitlyn asking Vi to become an Enforcer is genuinely so heart breaking and such good moment. Vi running away again is so good, and reminds me of the oil and water scene in the first season.

5. Victor? Oh my God. I love that Mel is still concerned for everyone.

6. Caitlyn imagining shooting Jink is definitely foreshadowing.

7. Mel's speech is so empowering, and better than any speech I've heard in real life.

8. 'For My Son'. Incredible moment.

Summary: Okay. Where do I begin? This episode as a start to a new season is by far the most impactful opening I've had the absolute privilege to watch. I grabs you in the first few moments and doesn't let you go. The set ups are incredible and I'm about sure they will be paid off. As far as I'm concerned, this was worth the wait. Caitlyn's for sure going to shine this season.

But my own personal favorites are bountiful. The mother seeking after Jaynce in order to have retribution for her son is such a profound and wonderful use of her character, as small as it is. She could have easily been thrown away- but she came back in such a way that I truly did not expect.

This episode is wonderful, and better than anything I was expecting. It leaves you with questions that I am sure will be answered in wonderful ways and leaves me hungry for more.

OK OK, OK Just finished watching the first 3 episodes of Arcane season 2, and my brain is...in shambles there is SO MUCH that's just auahajwh.

Spoilers for season 2 obviously :P

1. Holy shit, like most of the counsel is dead if not MAJORLY injured?!

2. Caitlyns mom is dead as well?! Obviously, it affects her character and what's next for her arc near immediately.

3. I absolutely ADORE every characters development throughout these episodes. (Especially the female characters we love good writing here)

4. Vi accepting that Jinx is no longer Powder was painful since Vi was so determined to reverse her mistake, and the only way to fix it now is to get rid of her.

5. The moment we saw all the way in the beginning of the show with Jayce could be saw in the show and I find it soooo interesting cause I'm intrigued of how he'll handle this little problem with Hextech now.

6. Viktor?! Holy shit I love him. He's basically a blessing to those in Zaun who are badly affected by Shimmer, and I'm glad he now has this power he's been wanting since forever.

7. Finally got that GODDAMN kiss scene I've been begging for since forever but why did these two have to argue near immediately after T^T

Anywho, that's it cause if I kept going, we'd be here forever.

Spouting crap like, "oh, workin' as PBB was so fun," or, "life with Merumeru wasn't half bad," with that satisfied look on your face.

If you were hoping to brush it all under the rug and tie everything together with a pretty ribbon, I'll rip that plan to shreds for ya!

This latest episode really highlighted what kind of “heroes” our girls are. Running away, leaving the town to fight the Jabberwalker on their own. Didn’t they just state before they’re Huntresses? Didn’t Yang say to Ironwood in Volume 7 that Huntresses don’t run from a fight? But that seems to be a theme isn’t it? Whenever they go to a new place, they always either cause trouble or leave it worse off. Mistral, Argus, Atlas, and now here.

The show really presents itself as a comedic action show with the premise of early episodes being cases of mistaken identity and then it goes and does *that*. I plan on watching Stampede next if only for the visuals but I need a day or 7 to cope. Thank you for leading me to discover it!

With the popularity of the first season of the Disney+ series "Loki," the series' showrunner and head writer Michael Waldron has become the latest star in the Marvel Studios' creative pool of talent.

Along with successfully delivering a layered arc to the God of Mischief over a six-episode season (with another on the horizon), he's also the screenwriter behind the upcoming MCU release "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" (and will write the pending "Star Wars" movie being produced by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige).

Waldron took a break from his busy schedule to look back on the first season of "Loki" with Insider and answer some of our most burning questions — like his thoughts on "selfcest," the challenges of fulfilling fan expectations, and how close we were to getting Loki sex.

Waldron says "many" season-one endings were considered.

The plan to do a second season of "Loki" didn't exist until far into the production of the first season. That led to some changes in the season one finale, Waldron said.

But he added that showing the evolution of the Loki character was always their guiding light.

"The show was always constructed to be a story on its own," he said. "The story of Loki starting out as a villain and going through this adventure that turns him into a hero in his own way, doing the right thing, but losing anyway — that was always the complete story we wanted to tell."

But the details within that story — the characters around Loki in his journey and who he would encounter at the end of it — were always changing, Waldron said.

To set up a tease for what would take place in season two (and let's face it, for a lot of the MCU properties going forward), Waldron and his team turned to introducing Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) in the finale.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie's (Sophia Di Martino) encounter with Kang (aka, He Who Remains) results in Sylvie killing him and the "sacred timeline" going into shambles. It also presumably birthed more evil Kang variants.

Now Loki is back in the TVA but in a different timeline as Mobius (Owen Wilson) doesn't know who Loki is anymore.

It's a cliffhanger ending that has had fans of the show buzzing. But Waldron admitted it was one of many.

"There's many permutations of endings that exists over the course of the whole thing," he said. "But I'm not going to tell anybody about those." The "Loki" love-story arch has led to the term "selfcest" becoming popular; Waldron said he was just tying to tell an interesting story.

The internet went nuts when it became evident that Loki was falling for his variant, Sylvie. And with that, the term, "selfcest," aka having a relationship with an alternate version of yourself, entered the popular lexicon.

Waldron had a good laugh about the whole thing when Insider brought it up.

"Were we sitting in the writers' room saying we hope people are talking about selfcest? No. We weren't," Waldron said with a chuckle. "We told a story about a character falling for a variant of themselves. It's an interesting atypical type of story, and we knew that."

Waldron said he knew that, because of the passion people have for the Loki character, he was not going to satisfy everyone with what happens in the show.

That included inadvertently touching on the selfcest debate."As creators we have to pick a path and tell a story," he said. Waldron explained how close we were to seeing Loki have sex.

"I guess I'll set the record straight on that," Waldron said when asked about the reveal in Disney+'s behind-the-scenes special, "Assembled: The Making of Loki," that showed a writers' room whiteboard outline revealing they wanted to show Loki have sex, including with aliens.

"That was actually a breakdown, kind of a story circle breakdown for episode one," Waldron said.

One of the ideas they had was Loki would take the Infinity Stones from the TVA in the first episode and go out into the world and "make all his dreams come true," as Waldron put it.

"We were exploring if Loki escaped from the TVA in episode one with a handful of Infinity Stones would it have been compelling to watch him get out into the world and wield an Infinity gauntlet?" Waldron said.

"But we ultimately realized that it's kind of empty because he knows that the TVA exists and that's the greatest power in the universe."

So, although Loki sex was "briefly an idea," Waldron said, it was scrapped.

Instead, they went with the scene of Loki finding the stones at the TVA thrown to the side, and learning they are as worthless as a paperweight.

"We were able to execute that in a single shot just with Tom Hiddleston being an incredible actor," he said. Waldron is not scared of season two falling into the trap of fan service.

Though Waldron would not confirm to Insider that he will be involved with the show's second season, he did say that, despite the popularity of the show and the passion by its fans, it will not go out of its way to fulfill the wants of loyal viewers.

"Part of any creative team's job is trusting their own instincts, especially working in big IP projects like this," Waldron said. "That's what you have to do. You have to understand the parts of the expectations that are delicious and worth biting into and the parts where you're better off creating something totally new."

He continued: "Our philosophy on this was it's a time travel show about Loki, so people expected Loki influencing historical events — he's going to ride with Paul Revere. How can we turn that on its head as much as possible?"

1. Wuthering Heist - I know, kill me now if you must because this masterpiece of an episode is disliked by a lot of people. But it's first on my list. Come on, its a shambles but it is a good shambles. The fourth-wall breaking, the abundance of silliness, the mASKS! AND the fact that the sub-plot was literally the plot to Wuthering Heights was an amazing touch. There are so many references and the mONTAGE at the start, ughhh so bRECHTIAN I LOVE IT

2. Thinking Out Loud - Yes, this is another episode that is heavily disliked by people. It is very controversial. Yet how it made me feel when I watched it for the first time, literal chills and it was so unsettling. That episode really made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions. The fear when Galen appears, the sadness as you hear Aidan's story, the happiness when Angel speaks. And the way the music builds up when Nadia starts to realise what's wrong. The ending- oh it's fantastic

3. The Understudy - Mutuals... you know I freaking love Macbeth so this was obvious. Okay, this episode is so simplistic but that's what I love about it. The relationship between Laura and Jim mirrors Lady Macbeth and Macbeth's, the way she tries to convince him to do something he doesn't want to. There are so many references to the play laced throughout the episode, it actually makes me squeal. Bloody amazing.

4. Private View - Eehehehe this episode is just... so great. Each character is very different in personality and appearance, yet we find out they all have something in common. I really like how they all begin to suspect each other, but the whole idea was planned anyway. Love how such a lovely old lady is capable of killing people in the most brutal of ways. Unsettling but in a good way 😍

5. Empty Orchestra - I'm surprised this one is so high on my list but I just love this episode so much. It's silly but very realistic, and it's a nice change from the darkness. There are no twists, just alot of singing and cringy dancing. You'd expect me to hate it but I LOVE IT and this episode is so underrated!

6. Tempting Fate - When my sister told me that this episode was all about The Hare and we watched it together, I flipped the fuck out. It kind of gives some backstory to the ornament and why bad things always happen in its presence. It appears in every episode, and there's always something unfortunate that happens while it's there in the background. Inside No.9 isn't exactly known for explaining things, but this episode was so clever with the way they based everything around the statuette.

7. Once Removed - YES, this one is on here! And it's not just for Viktor (Murder Mittens). Was a fittie but that's not what it's on here for 😂. This was the episode that made me go 'Damn, these guys are some clever sons of bitches' 😂 because the act of putting something in reverse and still have it make sense must be bloody difficult. At first, you're so confused. But as you go through, you're like OH that's why he's got that thing around his hand!

8. Deadline - I'm not really sure if this counts as an episode but... I really enjoyed it. When it comes to freaky Halloween stuff, count me in. Glitchy screen horror and production errors? YEs please. Fourth-wall breaking again! YEEESS sorry just this oNE. Idk I kind of like when the lads play themselves but are still acting, like in Apocalypse.

9. Proms - Another super controversial one but it's on here. Funny thing is, I actually didn't like this episode at first. But that was just because I had to sit through Yusuf being s*xually assaulted tWICE while sat in a room with my dad 😐. I also didn't understand it but the more people came up with theories and explained it, the more I liked it. I really love that it has many layers. It focuses on racism and homophobia but also religion and patriotism.

10. Bernie - This was one episode that I couldn't bring myself to watch again for a while. It is such an emotional thing to watch but it's on this list because the thought behind is so heartbreaking yet so beautiful. Everything about it, the symbolism and the music. That number at the end, oh it's excellent. It's even more saddening when you realise that Reece and Steve aren't actually too different from Tommy and Len, and I can't imagine what they were thinking when writing it and filming. Emotional Memory, Stanislavski and all that (just call me Ollie Plimsolls). I can't help but think Reece was thinking about losing Steve when performing the final scene.

I surprisingly did well with spontaneously interviewing someone for our project, especially that it had been my first time. It wasn't necessarily a comfortable experience but I mostly felt well. I am currently in another meeting and really busy with a lot.

Do not be deceived with the title. This is not just my second time being busy. I just use the title when I can't think of anything else and too busy to write a bunch.

I got to write an entire essay in one sitting on a SUNDAY. I don't do stuff on Sundays intentionally. I dedicate Sundays and after-dinners for myself with no school nor org-related stuff to do unless if it's urgent. Since a lot are due next week on Friday, I figured I'd compromise last night and use that time to do one of the major stuff I needed to do. I uhh wasn't able to do that. But hey don't bite my ear off, I compromised Sunday anyways instead and I was able to finish my draft in one afternoon.

I remember typing that title yesterday, but something might have came up that got me distracted and I was unable to continue writing. Yesterday (or, well, the date in this entry) was quite a lot. We had to finish our project proposal and brainstorm on specifics so we could submit the proposal for approval in the morning so it wouldn't be pending until the end of the holy week. I was drained out yesterday but our late night call to brainstorm the rest of the stuff was fun and you could hear us either crying or laughing, we weren't sure. We even got to invite really great speakers (ONE OF THEM WHO I'M A FAN OF AND I CAN'T SPILL DETAILS BUT SINCE I BET THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE THAT NOBODY'S GONNA SEE THIS BUT HE WAS IN AHEB THE MUSICAL WOO). This event is a big one. And I hope we'll be able to keep our sanity by the end of it.
