Took me like two months to catch onto the dp&w hype cause I've despised most marvel stuff majority of my life but whaddya know the autism finally latched onto the silly homoerotic old man yaoi. Anyways I'm seeing the movie this Saturday and the intensity with which I am constantly shaking increases as the seconds tick closer. I'm also seeing it with my friend who's a big marvel nerd and I'm actually gonna eXPLODE cause he's been giving me lore about X-Men and Deadpool stuff since I don't know shit ❤️‍🩹 I've watched the first dp and plan to watch the second either Thursday or Friday to PREPARE. Uhmm. I've already done like an hour of research about wolverines (animal) and have many many many silly head canons for the old man (I gave him a tail) (idk Wade's freaky he's into furries or something canonically isn't he)

Dp x DC crossover

So rejected soulmate au and clone tim au mix.

Danny had a soulmate, just like the rest of the worlds population. His soulbond type was shared sense. To explain, when a soul pair has this type of bond they end up sharing a sense, they could share their hearing, sight. Taste, smell. In danny and his partners case they shared touch.

Danny and his soulmate felt everything the other felt, including pain. Danny had always loved his soulmate even while not knowing them, he just wanted the best for them. That's why he always tried his best to stay out of trouble though it was hard to do that when your parents are the town wackos.

Danny was pretty mature for a 10 year old. So when he started to feel his soulmate getting hurt more frequently he was worried.

Danny grew up learning to hide bruises that he gained on his own and from his soulmate. He loved his soulmate so much and when he would find them he would protect them no matter what.

Then danny turned 13, for his birthday his parents and jazz decided to take him to Gotham to celebrate. Gotham isn't exactly festive but his parents what to get ectoplasm samples or whatever.

They ended up leaving danny and jazz in a small cafe while they whent out to look for ghosts. Then he saw him. A boy with black hair and beautiful blue eyes that set his stomach into a flutter. Who also had the same matching bruise on his neck.

Danny couldn't help himself he knew as soon as he saw him, danny just knew. "H-hay!" Danny yelled over to the boy, his gaze flicked over danny the same realization in his eyes. There was another boy next to him who watched the two interact with curiosity at the sidelines with jazz.

"Hi" the other boy says quietly almost as if whispering. Danny's smile was wide as he strutted over to his soulmate "hi I'm danny it's a pleasure to meet you" he says sticking out his hand excitingly.

This is it after so many years of waiting, he finally has his other half. Then in a flash Danny's hand is slapped away. The expression on Danny's face drops into one of confusion. His soulmate glared at him with cold eyes.

"W-why did you-" Danny asks put was promptly cut off by his soulmates harsh voice "I reject you" . Those 3 words, the 3 forbidding words you must never say to your soulmate. The worst thing you could ever possibly do to your other half, brake your bond.

Danny's, jazz's, and the other boys face all shared a look of horror. Danny and his soulmate quickly drop to the ground. Danny is clutching his chest dry gagging as he feels the bond he has so tenderly loved being ripped to shreds.

Danny let out a silent pained scream as he feels his whole body go numb before he passed out. Leaving his soulmate an opening to grab his brother and bolt out the door.

Tim was curled up in his bed hyperventilating. What had he done. Why would he do that to his other half. Danny was his name. He just destroyed himself and another.

But, as much as tim regrets it, he knows it's for the best. Bruce would have never let tim become Robin knowing what type of soulbond he had. The bond that let him experience everything his soulmate did.

Tim loved his soulmate but not to the same accord as he did batman and robin. Tim was just trying to protect his soulmate, protect danny. Being a vigilante is painfull. He didnt want him to have experience it not the same way he did.

Severing their bond was the right decision. Tim knew it was best to let go.

DP&W Review

I can't believe I actually love Deadpool and Wolverine! I had pretty much moved on from MCU after Endgame. Haven't watched a post EG movie other than Shang-Chi, which is a good movie. Other than that, I had mostly lost interest.

DP&W is a perfectly imperfect movie that finally got me to care about the characters again and shockingly, root for them! Do I have a new MCU ship? What is happening!

Spoilers:

While I thought DP1 was a solid origin story and vastly superior take on Wade than Origins, I left DP1 feeling like... it's a good movie, it's objectively better than DP&W, but I couldn't connect with DP1. I wanted to like it but I think I overhyped it. I might like it more on re-watch but it's, just fine. In DP&W, Wade became so relatable, and I found his catharsis uncompromisingly sincere. Props to Ryan for keeping the mask on for so long and emoting without making it look too OTT. He does a great job riding that line between endearing, audacious, and menacing. He IS Deadpool.

I had liked Wolverine in the X-Men movies, I even liked the Origins Wolverine movie, but I wasn't invested in him as a character until this movie! Sure, Worst Best Wolverine could have had a more 'show not tell' backstory but I think it was handled that way to avoid making him look irredeemable to the audience. Hugh knocked it out of the park, he IS Wolverine and his acting was top tier. I felt like his presence was perfect to balance out Deadpool's random hilarity, and Hugh brought some much needed groundedness to the narrative. This movie really hinged on the chemistry between D&W and it's out of this world omg

I love that the movie gave no fucks about looking 'too cheesy' in the climax, it just did the Power of Friendship handhold Madonna ab shot, and it was exquisite. The movie revels in being a comic book come to life, and even though I didn't read superhero comics, I felt like a kid again, just enjoying the moment and not worrying about this or that. It was beautiful in its simplicity. I love that Wade's importance was affirmed while Logan's legacy was honored and the movie said, "It's okay to care about these characters! We care about them too." I felt immersed, I felt like the characters matter, that this story and all the Fox Marvel movies, good and bad, mean something. I teared up at the credits tribute, it was so sweet.

DP&W is about a 8/10 objectively, there are problems but I don't care. The movie FEELS like a 10/10 to me and is now in my top 5 MCU movies. Like I'm still in disbelief at how entertained, engaged, and happy I was from start to finish. This was exactly what I didn't know I wanted. I ended up watching DP&W in theaters 3 times and had a blast in every viewing. I can't wait for this to come out on Disney+ and for deleted scenes/extras! Maybe I really am just a simple bitch lol

This is such a fun movie with heart, absolutely love it ❤️💛

Anyone pick up "Deadpool and Wolverine" on blu-ray today? I preordered the Wolverine version steelbook awhile back on Amazon, but I got notification on it today and I guess it's not coming for 3-4 weeks. 😔

It was expensive too. Fuckers price gouging majorly. People were like "wAiT fOr ThE pRiCe To Go DoWn", but I don't think it's gonna and once they're gone, they're gone. I had to watch Amazon like a hawk to wait for it to pop up as even available to purchase.

So yeah, they got my money What can ya do? lol I might see if I can pick up a regular blu-ray copy in the meantime 'cause I don't know if I can wait that long to watch it again. Plus I need to see all the extras. 😁

OKAY U HAVE LIKE. THE MOST PERFECT TIMING IN THE WORLDDD because literally on . tuesday this week my freak week art got a random note out of nowhere and made me start thinking about the villains again and thinking about william wight specifically because i love him a lot. ok. so its always ALWAYS been my assumption that. this is the version of william who mal got his greasy little claws in.

william fell off the cliff and died. the wisps chose him, and he came back. mal, who has been obsessively watching the wisps since clarence's death, sensed them choosing the next whisperer and swooped in before william could even stand back up. hes disoriented, hes scared, everything hurts, hes at a bottom of a cliff and he honestly doesnt even know if hes alive or not anymore, and this stranger walks out of the forest and offers a chance to explain everything. wiwi mystery brain! he knows this is weird but he also knows like.... i dont know whats happening maybe i AM dead and this is just... waht the afterlife is like. so he goes with mal. william wisp the 16 yr old from deadwood is. well. dead. he went missing, nobody ever found his body, his family mourned him.

meanwhile the whole time mallard conway was taking william wight under his wing and training him to be a replacement. mal calls him whisperer, william is in his rebellious teen phase and wants to be called something cooler which is why he named himself Wight (a type of vengeful spirit. specifically one who was once alive and then was brought back from the dead. lol) william is still! technically half alive. so being in the spirit world for extended amounts of time (which is NOT something mortals are supposed to do, planeswalker or not,) kind of broke his brain a little bit? which is why Wight is LIke That.

williams whole thing when he was alive was solving mysteries and chasing down monsters, so that became (and forgive my use of dp fanon here, i have to) his Obsession. (obsession with a capital O because its.. ghost logic. whatever a ghost died doing becomes their core motivation in the afterlife etc etc dp fanon not sorryyyyy) so he has this. uncanny obsession for tracking down monsters when hes out of the spirit world. being separated from the spirit world for any amount of time kind of drives him nuts, hes so used to being around the dead that being around the living for extended periods of time is unsettling. hes super paranoid. he inherits mal's need for total control over a situation, which is why hes so lax about possessing people with the wisps to get them to do what he wants.

perfect that his best friend turns out to be the absolutely diehard loyal guard dog. (side note here i think he also has williams super high pain tolerance from dead nerves so he lets kota gnaw on his arms and shit) . virion is a mystery to him and he LOVES it, he cant figure this guy out, hes like an endlessly fascinating puzzle to crack open. studying him like a lab rat on a dissection table.

i think about him a normal amount. as you can tell.

"Anime Sinnoh Pokemon Therapy" I would like a sprinkle of context cuz this sounds hilarious. Please note I only ever watched some Black and White eps of the show (I will fix that)

Honestly the only reason I watched Diamond and Pearl (and not even all of it) was because of it was on Pokemon TV but wow Ash's Pokemon there. Wow. Black and White were kind after the brutality that was that team.

Minor spoilers I suppose but I wanna ramble :3.

A lot of people (used to) dunk on Black and White and I never got why. It was a fun thing I watched a bit so I went back and finished most of B&W before checking out Diamond and Pearl and. Yeah. DP is a lot more focused and Ash is a bit more serious (still goofy though!) and there's a lot more emphasis on strategies. And the trainers there are all tough, so Ash is thinking some insane plot stuff.

But one thing that I wish was done more was the Pokemon. I'm not going to bash it and say that it was bad, but coming from B&W and X&Y, the Pokemon don't have as much as a side character presence that they do. They all have their episodes and moments, but I always loved the slow moments of Pokemon bonding more than the serious training ones and DP unfortunately has more of the latter. Not bad by any means but c'mon. You know me. You know what I like.

A stand out from this team is Chimchar and I can say this because it's been memed to hell and back but every single one of Ash's fire starters are traumatized in one way or another except for one (Cyndaquil/Quilava). The writers like their angst with this one starter type. And remember how I mentioned things were more brutal here? Tepig's abandonment is genuinely terrible, but Chimchar- we get to know him before Ash gets him. We see him with his trainer for a bit before Ash gets him. Not gonna spoil but we know how he was treated.

The anime went into this for like an ep, but I want to go into it more. Talk about the little fire monkey and just. How weird adjusting to Ash was from his previous trainer, who pops back up again and again. Chimchar is notably stronger than all of Ash's other Pokemon on the Sinnoh team. I don't think it was ever called into attention before, but you pay attention enough and by the end of the series, Chimchar (now evolved) is still stronger than everyone else. Do you know how much angst can be pulled from that? How no matter how hard everyone else trains, Chimchar is still better, but the way he got better was so terrible and horrific and they can see Chimchar is still angry and hurt and scared of his old trainer, but he's still better.

(I want to focus on one Pokemon in particular with this dynamic. One who the writers did a bit dirty near the end, but I love that Pokemon and I want to write him and Chimchar being besties and no one can stop me.)

It will be funny I hope. But also angst hell and Chimchar being a baby brother and loving everyone around him so strongly and showing them in every way he knows how and them loving him back.
