For Club and Country || Alexia Putellas
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings : smut (18+), Daddy kink, cunnilingus, strap-on's, throat fucking, choking (r giving + receiving), slight subspace, riding, fingering, spanking, rough sex.
summary : Alexia is on a hot streak, scoring stunner goals at the last minutes to send her country closer and closer to the finals of the Olympics but she needs her girlfriend to help her burn off all that excess energy the only way she can think of.
“What a goal scored by Alexia Putellas in the last seconds of the game to send Spain to the quarter finals!”
The girls are overjoyed and your voice is hoarse from all the screaming you’ve been doing over the past few days. With your Alexia jersey on proudly, you’re sitting next to her mother in the stands hugging each other joyfully.
Alexia comes over and climbs up onto the stands, hugging her mother. She smiles when she sees the look on your face, proud as can be of your girlfriend. Her mother shoves you into her daughter's arms and you cling to her tightly, telling her how proud you were of her in her ear. She sighs into your form, whispering a thank you as the whole stadium starts to drown itself out.
You cup her cheeks and smile with tears, kissing her hard on the lips. She doesn’t care for all the cameras pointed in her direction, she was proud to show you off to them.
“I love you,” she whispers when you hug her again, arms tight around your middle.
“I love you too, mi reina,” you giggle, holding yourself back from jumping the stands. She doesn’t stop there, her arms that were tight around you haul you over like you weighed nothing, before yelling to her mother that she’d text them where to meet for breakfast tomorrow.
“Alexia! I can’t go in there!” you scold, dragging your feet like a toddler hoping she’d stop.
“Don’t worry about it, it’s fine,” she grins, pulling you into the changing rooms.
The girls don’t even flinch seeing you there, chucking out hi’s and hello's all across the room. You wait patiently, praying no one finds you in here and punishes the team for it.
“Come,” Alexia calls, hand held out for you to take.
“Alexia,” you start as you walk towards her cubby, “I can’t be in here amor, what if they penalize you?”
“Oh please, everyone’s brought their significant others everywhere in the olympic village, why the hell do you think they gave out condoms in the welcome bags?”
“Those condom wrappers were very cute though, don’t you think?” Laia inserts, pulling her shorts on after taking a shower. Alexia strikes up a conversation with her, agreeing that they were such a nice touch to the goodies. Ona grins at you and you sit beside her, elbows on your knees.
“She’s been raving about you the entire time, you know?”
“Really?”
“La Reina isn’t as private as the world thinks.”
“What do you mean?”
“Let’s just say the whole team knows what you’re in for and you’re certainly going to like it.”
Just as you’re about to ask her to elaborate, you hear Alexia calling your name. You look at Ona suspiciously and she merely shrugs, going back to massaging moisturizer into her calves.
“What are you up to?” you ask your girlfriend and she acts like you’ve asked her to give up football.
“Nothing!”
“I heard the girls talking.”
“You only heard Ona talking and you know she’s a shit stirrer.”
“Alexia!”
She shoves you onto the team bus headed back to the village and you sulk, arms crossed over your chest like a child. Alexia takes a picture and sits beside you, a bag of peanuts in her hands that she’s already munching on.
“What did Ona tell you?”
“She said you’ve been blabbing to the team about what you’re going to do to me all week,” you lean in, “you’re not going to murder me and leave my body in the dirty seine are you? It would certainly leave a bad taste in the triathletes mouths.”
“Madre de Dios, ¡no!”
“Then? Alexia, if this is a shitty surprise, I’ll punch you!”
She takes a deep breath and suddenly goes cold, leaning in with her lips pressed right against your ear.
“Ahora escucha aquí, nena. He estado trabajando muy duro en los Juegos Olímpicos y necesito desahogarme. You're going to help Daddy do that, sí?”
You’re sitting and you still feel your knees go weak from her tone.
“Yes Daddy,” you whisper and she smiles proudly, hand in your lap rubbing her thumb gently.
You’re sitting right in the front of the bus, feeling the burn of the girls staring at you hard. They all watched as you threw a little fit trying to figure out what Ona was on about but it seems like Ona wasn’t lying after all.
Alexia stands up and you watch her with wide eyes as she goes through the analysis of the game with the team. Her mouth is moving but you can’t hear a thing. All you can think about is all the things you wanted that mouth to do to you. She noticed but kept it subtle, hand resting on your shoulder with a tight squeeze.
As the girls begin to argue amongst themselves playfully, Alexia leans down and whispers one last thing before reaching the village.
“Close your mouth darling, you’re giving yourself away to the girls. Wouldn’t want them to see how I'm gonna use that pretty mouth later right?”
You close your mouth fast and wipe the corners with your hands, sipping deeper into your seat. Jenni, who’s sitting diagonally behind you, sees you reel yourself back. As the bus comes to a stop and the girls begin to gather their things, her tall self leans over and says something in your ear that gives you butterflies.
“Be good for her, si? Your contributions to the team are greatly appreciated,” she tells you, winking as she steps off the bus.
Alexia takes your hand and you’re a little startled, standing up and following her off the bus. You hear the girls begin to holler and it takes everything in you to not tell them to shut up. Alexia yells at the to calm down before disappearing into a different hallway to the rest of the team.
“Why aren’t we with them?”
“I’ve got a surprise for you, mi princesa,” she tells you, pulling a blindfold over your eyes. You trust her to take care of you, feeling her press herself into you from behind to guide you. You hear a door open and the scent of lavender hits you; the sound of several locks being engaged behind you should not have turned you on as much as it did.
“Alexia, what the-”
“Surprise,” she says with a calm smile, hands pulling the blindfold off gently. She lets you take in the room, busying herself with the bags of goodies she’s brought in.
There’s a table filled with snacks, oils and your favorite coffee. The bed has a huge towel on it and a diffuser already going on the side table. Alexia comes up behind you and smiles, hands resting on your hips. You lean back into her and smile, feeling her warm breath on your shoulder comforting.
“I’ve been feeling so much energy build up over the past few days and you’re the only one who can help me, princesa,” she starts, turning you in her arms. “Will you?”
“Yes Daddy,” you answer, letting Alexia do whatever she wanted.
She starts by taking your bag off you, laying it carefully on the tv table. Her hands reach for her jersey on you, match worn by the way, and she gently pulls it off you.
“This jersey looks so much better on you than it does me,” she whispers seductively, kissing your cheek as she comes closer to mess with your shorts. Her hands skillfully pull the buttons open and zipper down, pushing them off your hips eagerly.
“Eres tan hermosa, mi reina,” she tells you, hands smoothly tracing your every line and curve.
“Only for you, Daddy,” you whine, hand reaching back to cup her head as her lips begin to leave kisses all along your neck and back.
She picks you up into her arms suddenly, the show of her strength sends waves of pleasure straight to your core. Your breath picks up and she notices, smirking as she places you down in the middle of the bed. She strips herself naked and you stare at her shamelessly, eyes ogled at her toned abs and violently perky breasts.
She pulls her strap on and turns to face you, eyes taking in the look on your face. You’re still staring, face with a little look of surprise and desire. It sends pulses to her cunt that she rather enjoys, crawling onto the bed between your legs. She kisses you, the feeling of her soft lips gives you a sense of calm.
Your breath quickens as her hands caress your thighs and she groans at the feeling of your warm skin. The soft flesh beneath her fingers makes her mouth water and she wastes no time in letting out her energy. Teeth sink into your thigh and make you moan, the sharpness of her teeth only makes you wetter and needier.
Big, rough hands press your legs to your chest and have you in a vulnerable position, pussy clenching tightly as you feel the cold air on your leaking arousal. Your lips are already bitten, sore and swollen, breath hitching when Alexia practically bends you into half. Your knees reach your ears and air fails to reach your lungs properly, sending your head spinning in the most pleasurable way possible.
“Hold them there,” growls Alexia, large hands spanking your ass as it opens up for her. Your pussy glistens at her and she smiles, leaving two more harder smacks on your ass. They’re red and it leaves a sting but you don’t move a muscle.
“Feels good princesa?” Alexia asks, looking down at you. She grins when she sees your eyes slowly go in and out of focus as you nod, settling into a headspace that she absolutely loved. You were ‘pliable’ and trusted her to know what you needed though it was said to be what she needed; Alexia had always prioritized your pleasure over hers.
She circles her fingers around your soaking clit; they’re slow and send pulses of energy right into your veins. You knew Alexia meant it when she said she had the energy to go on today, so you settled into your comfy space and let her do whatever she wanted. But you knew for her to do so, you needed to tell Daddy.
“Daddy?” you whisper, looking right into Alexia’s hazel eyes.
“Sí, princesa?”
“Want you to use me, do whatever you want,” you whine, tears already prickling in your eyes
“Oh sweetheart,” she states pompously, “I was already going to.”
Her thick fingers have filled your pussy more times than you can remember but when you were lightheaded and a little oxygen-deprived, the feeling of them filling your pussy always sent you into hysterics.
Your pussy swallows her fingers obediently and they’re just long enough to press into your sweet spot every time they pump inside. She spreads them and works on opening you up, free hand pressing your thighs open wider.
“You take them so well, mi amor,” Alexia praises, eyes glued to your core. You stretch around a third finger that joins the two, sounds of your pleasure fill the room.
You can hear how wet you are and you turn a little red with embarrassment. Alexia however, has her ego boosted when you begin to slightly cream around her fingers. She groans and fingers you faster, lips wrapping around your clit as she begins to suck hard.
Her tongue flicks over your clit as she sucks, fingers pressing right into your sweet spot with every pump of her arm. Her free hand holds you down as you thrash about, pressure building up behind your belly button hard and fast.
“Daddy!” you moan, cumming around her fingers and making a little mess on her chin. She pulls away grinning and licking her lips, fingers shoved into her mouth after to taste you. She moans and pulls your legs back down, crashing her lips onto yours.
You kiss hot and hard, one breath shared between two. She pulls away and you fall in love with her all over again, hand grasping your jaw to pull you back into the kiss. You melt and tangle your tongue with hers, feeling her hands caress your body in ways only she knew possible.
“Turn over, princesa,” Alexia demands, strong arms already turning you over. You push your ass up and arch your back as deep as you can for her, slipping a pillow under your head to hold onto.
Alexia spanks your ass again, harder this time and it leaves a handprint on your cheek. She aims and spanks you again, hitting the same spot. Like earlier, the sting is pleasurable and makes your thighs shake, lips left whimpering for Alexia.
“More Daddy!” you whine, and she gladly obliges. Five more spanks land on your ass, blood pricking underneath your skin. She’s aware of what you’re doing, knowing you’re really prepping yourself for when she’s seven inches deep inside and fucking you roughly.
Alexia shifts her focus to the silicone dick she’s got hanging between her legs that seems to be neglected. She moves beside your head and you look up at her, clearly seeing that her oral fixation needed satiating.
Your jaw slacks and she slips in, moaning when you take most of the toy down your throat. A loud gag rings in the room which only motivates Alexia more. She holds your hair in her hands, fucking your mouth hard. She groans and swears loudly, hips driving the toy deep into your cavity. She pushes your head down onto her cock and you gag noisily, before she pulls away and the mess you leave only spurs her on.
She slaps your cheeks and kisses you sloppily, holding your body up like a doll. She presses you back down and slips into your mouth again, fucking your throat faster.
“Fuck baby, taking Daddy’s cock so well,” she praises, “getting me all wet to fuck your pussy aren’t you?”
She pulls you off her cock and gives you a stern look, your brain short-circuits as you struggle to form a coherent answer. Alexia chuckles.
“Yes Daddy, all for you!”
She lets you go and you flop onto the bed, her strong hands pressing your back into the deep arch she went feral for. She slaps her cock on your entrance and you beg for her to put it in you, voice breaking when she slips it in mid-sentence.
“What was that, darling?” she teases, cock buried to the hilt inside you.
“Fuck me!”
“Don’t have to tell me twice,” she growls, fucking into you hard. The sound of skin slapping loudly you were sure could be heard throughout the whole village but you did not care. The pure ecstasy your girlfriend was administering at the moment brought fog into your brain. You were on cloud 9.
Her cock slipped so easily into you, filling you deep and thick. Your walls gripped and she welcomed the resistance, hands grasping your hips as leverage to fuck into you harder.
“Like this, bebita?”
“Exact-” you choke, as she angles her hips to hit your sweet spot, “EXACTLY LIKE THIS!”
She pounds her hips up into you and you’re seeing stars, the tug behind your belly button starts to build up again.
“Daddy!” you scream, feeling the dam break as you come again. Alexia doesn’t stop and you’re becoming delirious with pleasure. It’s red hot and almost makes you pass out, before Alexia stops.
“Fuck mi reina, want you to ride me,” Alexia says, laying down as you climb into her lap. You’re absolutely soaking and sit on her easily, cock filling you up in a different way in this position. You slowly build up a rhythm, hands lightly wrapped around Alexia’s neck.
Her eyes roll into her head and she grins mindlessly, hands tightly gripping your hips. You bounce faster and she feels the air slowly leave her head as you begin to grip her neck a little more.
“Is this what you wanted, Daddy?” you ask cheekily, grinding your hips on her cock slowly. Alexia spanks your ass and suddenly tightens her already tight grip of your hips.
“No, I wanted to do this.”
She lifts you and fucks up into you with power you didn’t know your girlfriend had. Her cock reaches places inside you you had never felt before. She was rearranging your guts and it fucking felt amazing.
She turns you over and doesn’t lose an ounce of power, hips fucking into you so hard the bed was moving. She held your lower body up as she fucked you, your back arched off the bed so far that your shoulders were barely touching the bed.
“You want me to cum in you, baby?” she grunts, panting hard but her hips never slow down or show signs of wanting to. Her hands wrap around your neck this time and squeeze hard, the pressure behind your navel goes from 0 to 100 in mere milliseconds.
“Yes Daddy, YES!”
You squirt all over Alexia which sets her orgasm off. She moans your name and your lips crash on hers, breathing each other in. She fucks into you slowly which gives both of you a nice, long high. You tuck your face in her neck and take her in, wrapping your arms around her sweaty skin.
“I love you,” she whispers, holding you in her lap with her cock still inside you.
“I love you too,” you whisper as she pulls out, kissing you one last time before carrying you into the bathroom to clean up. She carefully washes you clean in the shower, paying more attention to you than herself. You gently clean her up too, kissing loads and loads between scrubs. She does eat you out one more time before the water goes cold, one last cry of her name echoes in the room before midnight curfew.
Back on the team bus the next day for training, you have her hoodie on and the hood pulled up, a slight limp in your walk. Alexia walks onto the bus as smug as can be, all the girls whistling like teenage boys as you try to negotiate with god to open the ground up to swallow you.
“Daddy please!”  “Fuck me!”  the girls yell, making faces and teasing you the whole ride there. You’re blushing an undiscovered color of red, thoughts running a mile a minute as you replay the events of the night before in your head. You catch Alexia’s eyes and she smiles a knowing smile, putting one on your face too.
Ona coming up to you just as they start to get off the bus again.
“Didn’t I tell you you’d enjoy yourself?”
“Oh shut up Oni,” you scolded loudly before pulling her close enough to whisper in her ear.
“Tell me everything she says about sex, will you?”
“¡Vamos España!” she yells with a wink, leaving you giggling and excited for more.

The Last Time Pt4 (FINAL)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Paige Bueckers x Reader
Warnings: sex sex sex
Summary: you finally know what you want. Hopefully Paige does too.
Authors note: hello!!!! Hope this hits how I intended. I know this series was short, don’t worry!! I have many ideas for what’s next. Enjoy!
MINORS DNI AFTER CUT PLEASEEE
The stadium is loud and bustling. You managed to secure half decent seats but cursed at yourself for not thinking this through. Just showing up to her game and hoping you’d be able to talk to her? How stupid could you be? It’s not like you can just show up to her change room, her teammates would probably think you were a stalker. Paige would probably be embarrassed.
You didn’t know what to think of her now. When the two of you would meet up you felt as if you’d known her your whole life. She knew a lot about you, and you grew to learn personal things about her too. But now all of that means nothing, and you now realized there’s a decent possibility she didn’t even tell her friends about you.
What was there to tell? ‘Every week I fuck this girl, then we spill our guts to each other and then don’t talk again till the next time.’
You sigh to yourself, looking down at the navy and white jersey you had on. You hadn’t worn Paige’s jersey since the night you first met at the Halloween/Birthday party. You felt like an idiot.
When you look back onto the court, you briefly catch a good chunk of the team looking in your direction during warmups. Ignoring the flip in your stomach, you convince yourself it’s nothing to do with you.
-
“Is that her?”
“She’s wearing Paige’s jersey.”
“Has she ever been to one of our games before?”
Azzi shakes her head. “No, she hasn’t.”
“So why would she be here now?”
“She misses Paiges pussy power.” KK shrugs, then yelps when Nika hits her.
“Should we tell Paige?” Nika asks.
Azzi glances at Paige, who is clearly in her own thoughts. “No. It’ll throw her off. We can worry about this later.”
“We gonna parent trap em or what?” KK asks.
“Parent trap who?” Paige finally joins the conversation.
“Nobody!” The whole group sings. Paige just shakes her head.
-
The game is entrancing. You never cared to watch basketball, even when you started seeing Paige you never bothered to check it out. You recall her trying to drop hints of her wanting you at one of her games, but you didn’t think you could handle seeing her playing. You thought it would make you more attracted to her, and you were right.
Paige was absolutely in her element. You could see now why the internet could rave on about the smallest play for days. The game had you on the edge of your seat, Paige was a monster when she wanted to be and it was turning you on to no amend.
Your feelings become unsure as you see her on the court, running back and forth, shooting and making shots, yelling and celebrating. Chest bumps with her teammates, shared looks, laughs unheard by the crowd. It was a whole other world that you were not apart of. The reminder that this is all for her was blaring. You look around at the screaming fans, most of them girls and guys your age. Any of them could replace you, in fact you could’ve been a replacement yourself.
You suddenly have the urge to get up and leave, to call it quits and forget about your infatuation with #5. This urge only worsens when Paige approaches the stands in attempt to rile up the crowd, raising her hands to say “louder, louder!”
You watch as her eyes graze the masses, and then you watch as her expression morphs from excitement to a billion other unidentifiable emotions as her gaze touches your portion of the seats. You know then that she’s seen you, but you don’t know how she feels about that.
She retreats as if nothing has happened and she plays the rest of the game fiercely, but her face retains the same unreadable expression.
At the end of the game you once again curse yourself for not thinking this out more thoroughly. So far all you’ve done is make yourself feel sorry. You put your hand in your pocket to get the headphones, but instead feel your phone buzz.
From: Paige B
come outside of the gym rn
You oblige.
-
She’s waiting for you at the back, all ready to leave in her Huskies tracksuit. Her hair is still in her signature game day braids and ponytail, and when her eyes meet yours you feel yourself physically shudder. Paige’s eyes have always had that effect on you.
“So now you wanna come to my games?” She asks, not angry but not quite impressed either.
“Don’t get too excited.” You try to smile, taking out the headphones. “I found these in my room the other day…thought I should give them back.”
She takes them and inspects them for a second. You wonder if she remembers how they ended up on the floor of your bedroom in the first place.
“You seriously came to my game to give me headphones? That’s all you have to say?” She licks her lips, shaking her head. “I forgot how much of a pussy you can be.”
“Are you serious?” You ask her, unprepared for the reaction she gave you. “Pussy? I’m a pussy? You’re the one who ended things to ‘focus’ on the sport you’ve been focused on for like, I dunno, your whole life? You could’ve at least tried to make a decent excuse.”
“Yeah, well you can’t be offended that I dipped.” She shrugs. “Not like you were ever in much hurry to see me, right?”
You don’t respond to that in time, because she immediately retaliates.
“Why so quiet now, hm? Were you hoping I would just keep hitting you up? I have better things to do, and oh, God knows you do. Why don’t you just go home and study for some final, or do whatever it is you’d do with your time before you met me.”
Paige’s composure is calm. She seems to be trying to keep a chill ‘I don’t care’ energy, but the way she’s biting at you with such hostility is just proof to you that she cares.
“You’re such a dick, Paige.” You sigh, rubbing your face. “I don’t want to go home. I want to be with you.”
Paige is quiet.
“We don’t have to date, I- it’s not even that. I just couldn’t take it, being around you. That day when we first met I went to bed just thinking about how much I wanted to know you, and I knew I couldn’t think like that because you don’t commit to anyone, and..I-”
“Take this.” Paige interrupts.
“What?”
She hands your a pair of keys on a lanyard. “I have to go right now.” She gestures to the keys. “Go home.”
She turns to leave in an unnaturally abrupt way, almost awkwardly. You stare down at the keys, the lanyard is blue and white with the writing “Uconn Women’s Division One Basketball”.
When Paige said go home, she meant her dorm. These are her keys.
-
When you walk inside you’re immediately flooded with memories of the past five months. You’re unsure if you should go to her room or not, but just as you start to think the door opens and Paige lets herself in.
“The team is out for dinner and drinks.” She smiles to herself, taking off the zip-up leaving her in track pants and a white t-shirt. Her arms are toned and veiny. You want to talk, but seeing her in front of you like this again, proudly telling you the place is empty for the two of you, it’s all just making you crave her body.
When she approaches you she stops just centimetres away, looking down at you. Her finger finds your chin, and she nudges your face to look up at her, eyes wide.
“So you want me now? How long till that changes and you ghost me? Will you watch me like a creep at my games again then too?” She asks, tilting her head.
“I always wanted you. I just didn’t want you to think so.” You mumble.
“Well you got what you wanted.” She says, and your heart sinks because you can hear that she’s telling the truth.
She looks down at you and lets out a breath. You’re still wearing the jersey.
“I’ve seen so many people in this jersey.” Paige says, toying with the hem and releasing butterflies in your stomach. “But ion think it ever had the same effect you did. When I saw you that day, all alone, I just knew I needed you. I was so mad when I dropped you off that night cus I was already forgetting what you looked like with my name and number on you while you came.”
You can feel yourself water at that. Reaching towards her to take out her ponytail, leaving the front pieces of hair braided and letting the rest of her hair cascade down her shoulders like it did the night you met her. You toy with a lock of blonde and meet her eyes again. “I can remind you, if you want me to.”
You hear her shallowly inhale as you slowly slide your pants off, maintaining eye contact as you throw them away and stand infront of her in your underwear and her jersey.
Suddenly she picks you up, forcing you to straddle her as she holds you with her hands on your ass. Her mouth is finally on yours as she takes you to her room, not bothering to turn the lights on. You let out a gasp when she tosses you onto her bed and climbs on top of you, hurriedly taking off her shirt.
When your lips meet it’s different from any other kiss you’ve shared with her. There’s something more, you never understood what girls in movies meant by a spark when you kiss, but you got it now. The feeling of her lips on yours sends a shock throughout your body, and you know she feels it too.
There’s a change in the way your bodies move against each other, like you are perfectly in sync. It feels like Paige is inside of your head, the way she knows exactly what to do to get you wetter then you already are.
She grabs your wrists and pins them above your head with one hand while the other starts to massage your clit through your underwear. You can’t help but let out a moan at the combination of pressure on your clit plus Paige’s kisses trailing down to your neck and collarbone.
She eyes you when her mouth moves down to your heat, letting her hand find your breast under the jersey. She gives soft kitten licks that make you gasp, the way her tongue flicks at your clit and coats your underwear with her saliva is already orgasm inducing enough, so you can’t help but moan out loud when she forces your underwear down and fully starts to eat you out.
As she laps at you with almost no mercy you can feel yourself reaching your peak. Paige seems to notice too, because she abruptly pulls away and gets up from the bed.
“Paige?” You mumble, shocked at the fact that you might cry. Your body is confused from the denial of its well anticipated orgasm and Paige herself has always made sure you finished.
You watch as she opens her closet and reaches for a specific shoebox out of the many she keeps stored there. When she opens the box there aren’t any shoes, there is however a strap on.
“Oh shit.” You whisper, and when you meet her eyes you both let out a laugh.
“Ion usually use this because it can feel so...” She says, picking it up. “I dunno…intimate? Having to be so close to you like that. I don’t know, it’s stupid.”
You suck in a breath, digesting what she’s saying. Does this mean she’s accepting her intimacy with you now? By offering you her 6-inch lilac dildo?
“Let’s do it.” You say.
She relishes in the fact that you’re watching in awe as she attaches the strap to herself, and the thought of pounding into you is driving her crazy.
You’re pinned against the bed again, but this time you can feel the strap against your legs, and it send shivers down your spine. Paige kisses you so passionately, and you mewl when the tip of her teases your entrance. You can feel her smirk against your lips, dragging this out as long as she can. “Please,” you whine. “please, P. Put it in.”
When she eases herself in, you can swear there are stars on the ceiling of her bedroom. Paige takes your legs and puts them over her shoulders, slowly stretching you out and gliding her strap in and out of you. Her face is nuzzled into your neck, and you can hear her whispering about how good you’re taking her.
When you’re more adjusted to the length her speed increases, and the bed starts to squeak. You can’t help but cling to the purple blanket, or her back, just about anything you can reach.
“Paige, oh my god, P. Don’t stop.” You cry. You had never begged for her before, not like this, but there’s no worry of being embarrassed anymore. You decide she can have you at your neediest state and you trust that she’ll take you.
As she pounds into you, you feel her hand entwine with yours, holding you in position but also providing a sort of comfort. Your heart warms at the feeling of her calloused fingers against your own. It’s the first time you’ve ever held hands with her.
Paige’s breath is rugged in your ear and her hand is squeezing yours for dear life. “You look so good like this, baby.” She mutters. “Do you even know how much I want you? I can’t shake the feeling that you don’t want me.”
“Paige.” You whine. “No, Paige I want you.”
“How bad?”
“Oh” you whimper into her ear. “So bad Paigey. So, so bad. I always wanted you. I was scared.” You groan out.
“Shit.” She responds, voice wavering. The room is filled with the lewd noises of you and her together. “I want to be with you. Mmh, I couldn’t look at anyone after that night with you.” She murmurs into your ear.
Finally you cum, and you feel it through every inch of your being. Pleasure truly from head to toes, you’re in heaven. You realize you might just want to give Paige everything you have, really. Mind body and soul. The thought causes anxiety in your stomach.
Paige slumps down behind you and immediately wraps her arms around you. “I think I like the jersey so much because it makes me feel like you’re mine.” She utters. You’re lost in your own insecure thoughts, and just reply with a bland “mhm.”
At this, Paige physically turns you around so that you’re laying face to face with her. She looks beautiful, hair wild aside from her braids, cheeks flushed, eyes still bright and surprisingly alert. She licks her lips indecisively, something she often does when she’s thinking hard.
“You know, I meant what I said.”
“What?”
“When I, uh.” She trails off, suddenly unable to hold eye contact with you. “When I said I wanted to be with you. I meant it.”
“Paige.” You cover your face. “Don’t mess with me, please.” You say, hating the way your throat feels tight. The vulnerability you felt before has turned sour. Now you’re just scared that here, laying in her bed with no underwear and a tired mind, that you’ll get too excited and this’ll all be something you’ll regret.
“It’s not funny.” You say. “When I say I want you it’s not because of sex, or the way you look or anything like that. I actually want everything you have to give. And I’m willing to give you everything too.” You say.
“Fuck, I know, I know.” She says quietly. “I didn’t want to think about it at the start but, that day when I told you it would be the last time we’d meet, I knew i’d just fucked myself over.” Paige laughs almost bitterly. “I was lowkey praying I’d run into you, so I could just see your face n’ shit.”
When you just stare at her she laughs. “I’m being serious, okay? I am. I want you for real. You’ve had me since that stupid party, I jus didn’t know it.”
“Okay..okay.” You say, stifling a laugh yourself.
“I want your body.” She rubs your thigh. “I want your mind.” She takes your face in her hands, forcing you to look at her again. Her eyes are like ice, piercing through you.
“I want to know all of that complicated shit you think.” She leans in to kiss you. Not a sexual kiss, a real kiss. When it breaks she says “I want you at my games. I want you cheering me on. I want to be there when you’re out in the world making money and being a badass.”
You roll your eyes at this. “Just kiss me, Bueckers. Don’t get all corny now.”
Paige just smiles, her tongue sticking out between her teeth.
Her kisses spark fireworks in your stomach. You relish in the fact that this won’t be the last time.
There won’t be a last time ever again.

Oh? Who's this? ... Hyacinth; Jealousy, sincerity, and forgiveness.
Tumblr media
hq masterlist .....
INSPIRED BY OBSESSED BY OLIVIA RODRIGO CHARACTERS: Sakusa Kiyoomi, Tsukishima Kei, Akaashi Keiji
MSBY! Sakusa Kiyoomi.  Where were you? Sakusa has been looking around the stadium for quite awhile and for some reason you hadn’t been answering your phone. It wasn’t like you to do so, meaning all Sakusa could do was worry. Though it didn’t take him much longer to find you though, you were outside of the bathroom trying to reject a guy making his advances.
It wasn’t like Sakusa was insecure about your relationship or anything of the sort but for some odd reason, every time he sees someone try to hit on you he feels his chest start to burn. Whether it was with rage or jealousy, he didn’t know, but all he could comprehend was that he didn’t like it. Not at all.
Walking over to you, he approached you both and snuck an arm around your waist and kissed you. It was a short kiss, but he made sure the guy knew who you were dating. After speaking to you for a moment simply asking if you had gotten lost or something since it was a newly built stadium, he then finally addressed the guy who was hitting on you.
Smirking at the man's dumbfounded face, Sakusa spoke.
“Oh, who is this babe? A friend of yours?”
College! Tsukishima Kei It was almost a hundred degrees out right now and both you and Tsukishima had agreed to stop by the convenience store to grab ice cream. Usually you would be at Creamsicle, your college’s ice cream shop, but it was probably jam-packed with people and neither of you were in the mood to deal with pushy early adults.
After grabbing your ice cream you decided to go outside seeing that people were starting to catch onto the idea of cheaper, faster ice cream. You informed Tsukishima of this and he nodded knowing it probably was a good idea to do so.
Although he thought it was a smart idea, he quickly realized it wasn’t once he saw you conversing with a guy from the soccer team. Sure maybe you both haven’t blasted the fact you were dating out to everyone; but everyone did know that you two were a pair. One with tension that’s finally turned real.
Walking up to you, Tsukishima ‘accidentally’ bumped into the soccer head. Instead of paying him any mind he went straight for taking a bite of your ice cream. After a moment passes, him kissing you, he turns to the guy you were talking to.
“The line inside is getting long, you should go before you miss out.”
Akaashi Keiji Akaashi was never one to get jealous, but seeing you converse with your ex? Absolutely not. It didn’t matter if they were your ex from high school, the fact was that they were still your ex.
You both were at a nice diner, celebrating his promotion at work and the publication of the manga him and his coworker have been working on for months. He felt the urge to use the bathroom while you both were waiting for your food so he informed you and stood up to leave.
He passed by your ex on his way there thinking nothing of seeing the person but soon came to realize that maybe he should have thought about it a bit more.
You and them had dated for around a year in high school seeing them as they dropped food of to your table was a pleasant surprise. The breakup was mutual, both of you wanting to pursue different passions, meaning seeing each other was fairly nice. Talking for a moment you have both ended up talking about your love lives, they mentioned that they were married to a lovely lady and would be expecting kids soon. You talked about being deeply in love with your current boyfriend who you were here with.
But Akaashi didn’t hear that that was the topic of conversation so seeing you talk to casually to your ex had ignited an unpleasant feeling in him. Not usually one for PDA, your boyfriend walked over to your table and kissed you on the forehead before sitting down and sending an icy smile at your ex.
“It’s nice to meet you, you’re my girlfriend's ex right? Ah! I’d love to talk more but it seems there’s a table waving you over” NOTES !! :
-> This is NOT beta read so there's probably a lot of grammar mistakes sorry !! -> I wanna make more like actual posts other than my smau's so i offer this up!! -> jealousy my favorite guilty pleasure trope <33

"so this is it?"
oikawa's eyes glimmer with the tears threatening to spill down his cheeks. he surveys your face, a mirror of his own. the logical reply is to affirm that this is, indeed, the last time you will see each other, in the coming-and-goings of a busy airport.
despite the words already on the tip of his tongue, he doesn't bring himself to say it.
he can't bring himself to say it.
instead he pulls a thin sheet of polaroid film tucked away in the folds of his jacket, fingers shaking as he passes it to you. "remember that road trip with iwa, mattsun and makki?" he laughs, devoid of mirth. "dancing under the stars?"
you stare at the picture, a bullet shattering the last shield to your defences. "yeah," you whisper, mustering the little energy you had left. "the first time you told me you loved me."
the photograph passes from him to you. the memories flash in your head: raucous sing-alongs to songs on the car radio, dim blaze of the makeshift campfire, gentle feel of oikawa's lips on yours. these trips were the hallmark of your friendship of five, but with everyone moving everywhere, you wonder if you could ever experience another.
"this isn't goodbye."
"oh, tooru." you giggle, despite it all. "when will you learn that you can't have everything? no matter how hard you try."
"i can," he insists stubbornly, gripping the handle of his suitcase with burning fervor. "argentina's just five years, ten—"
"and who's to say that we won't fall out of love then? i won't fall out of love then?"
the remark is a knife piercing oikawa's already bleeding heart. it hurts you just as much as it has wounded him, but you knew that it needed to be said. he has to learn to let go.
oikawa glances down at the watch on his wrist—a gift from you on your first anniversary. he remembers why you decided to buy it for him. your laugh, ringing through the air as you remarked: "so you can't weasel your way out of being late for our dates anymore."
the hands are damning. two hours before his flight leaves. two hours before he departs for a country miles away from everything he's ever known: his family, his friends, you.
"thanks for taking the time to see me off at the airport," he clips, barreling away from the topic at hand. "do stay in touch."
he turns away from you, struck by how it's too much to bear. his rationale screams at him to hold you close one last time, but his pride insists on moving forward. he makes his way towards the immigration gates, when he realises he has one thing left to say. tilting his head to face you, he smiles the smile you fell in love with as he makes his final plea:
"wait for me to come home."
the same six words come to mind as you hover your mouse over the option of buying tickets to the upcoming netherlands and argentina mens' volleyball match.  foolish, you think. he's moved on. he's forgotten. yet you can't help but click the purchase button, and now you find yourself amidst the throngs of supporters in tokyo national stadium.
after all these years, oikawa tooru is still as radiant as ever.
he is wrapped in swathes of argentinian blue, glowing with confidence in his skills. a shaky pass from his teammate doesn't deter the expertise of his set: he tosses it in a graceful arc towards his team's ace, who then smashes it without remorse to the dutch side of the court.
the match continues with argentina strengthening the lead, enabling them to win three to none. all throughout, oikawa dazzles. you expect no less from the boy you loved. the boy you love.
before heading for the train back home to miyagi, you dare yourself to take a peek at the boisterous celebrations on court. oikawa is hoisted on to a teammate's shoulder as they crack open bottles of champagne, yelling out exclamations of joy in a language foreign to your ears. by chance, oikawa's eyes meet yours, and it is like you're back at the starry night so many years ago, swaying in his arms.
he climbs down from his raised pedestal, rushing in hasty steps to make his way to you. as he envelops you in a hug, you are unable to discern between the longing and exhilaration rushing in your veins, so you giggle. despite it all.
"i'm home."

Basically Kenan eye fucking you and asking you out on a date…
Kenan Yildiz x victoria’s secret model! reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿
The stadium buzzed with anticipation as I settled into my seat, surrounded by the roar of excited fans.
The football field gleamed under the bright lights, and the rhythmic chanting from the crowd echoed through the air.
It was my first time at a live football game, and while I came for the atmosphere, I hadn't expected my attention to zero in on one of the players warming up on the field.
Kenan was in the middle of his pre-game drills, effortlessly throwing the football as if it weighed nothing. His tall, athletic frame moved with an easy grace that immediately caught my eye.
Even from the stands, I could see the focused intensity in his dark eyes as he jogged across the field.
I wasn't the only one who noticed him; there was a buzz in the air every time he moved, like the crowd anticipated something big every time he got near the ball.
At first, I thought it was just a coincidence when our eyes seemed to meet across the distance. But then it happened again.
His gaze locked on mine, holding for just a moment longer than necessary before he turned away to continue warming up.
My heart fluttered in my chest, and I struggled to keep my composure, already cursing myself for getting flustered over a football player.
Kenan was undeniably good-looking—there was no denying that. Tall, with messy dark hair, chiseled features, and an easy smile that probably charmed anyone in a hundred-foot radius.
But what really caught me off guard was the way he kept glancing my way, like he couldn’t help himself.
I caught a few of his teammates noticing the same thing, nudging each other and throwing sly grins in Kenan’s direction.
One of them—a guy with a buzz cut—called out something I couldn’t quite hear, but I saw the way Kenan shot him a glare in response. It was subtle, but I could tell it lit a fire in him.
There was a different energy about him now, a determination in the way he moved across the field.
He caught the ball again, running drills with a renewed focus, his jaw set as if silently proving a point to his teammate.
But every now and then, his gaze would wander back to me, as if making sure I was still watching. And I definitely was.
As the game began, I kept catching him looking my way, and every time he did, he played a little harder, ran a little faster.
It was like he was trying to impress me—or maybe prove a point to himself. Either way, it was working.
By the time the final buzzer sounded, signaling the end of the game, I was already thinking about what would happen next.
I had a feeling Kenan wasn’t the type to let this moment slip away without a follow-up. And honestly? I wasn’t either.
As fans began to file out, I made my way down to the field where the players were still milling around, soaking in their win.
I hadn’t planned on doing this, but the game had been so thrilling that I found myself wanting to commemorate the moment.
I approached a security guard near the barrier and flashed him a charming smile. “Do you think it’d be possible for me to get a picture with the team?” I asked. “I’m a huge fan.”
The guard’s eyes widened slightly as recognition flickered across his face. “Aren’t you…? Wait, you’re that Victoria’s Secret model, right?” He quickly straightened up, looking eager to help. “Of course! One second.”
As the guard walked over to speak with the coach, I felt a presence next to me, and I didn’t need to look up to know who it was. Kenan’s familiar voice cut through the noise around us.
“Couldn’t stay away, huh?” he teased, that signature playful smirk tugging at his lips as he looked down at me. “I saw you during the game. You know, I think you brought me some good luck.”
I rolled my eyes, a smile playing on my lips. “You mean all those fumbles you almost had?” I shot back, raising an eyebrow.
Kenan chuckled, shaking his head. “Touché. But you’re still here, so I must’ve done something right.” His gaze was steady on mine, and there was a spark in his eyes that made my pulse quicken.
Before I could reply, the coach waved us over, giving the okay for the picture. The rest of the team began gathering together, and I followed the players onto the field, where they assembled into a cluster, joking and jostling each other. Kenan stuck close by, positioning himself just to my right.
As I stepped forward to take my place in front of the group, I could feel Kenan’s arm brush against mine, sending a small shiver down my spine.
The rest of the team seemed to pick up on our interaction because I caught a few of them exchanging knowing grins.
I could hear a few quiet chuckles and comments about "pretty company" being thrown around.
I turned to Kenan and gave him a quick glance, amused. “So, are you always this lucky after a win?” I asked, folding my arms casually as we waited for the photographer to line up the shot.
Kenan grinned, leaning in slightly closer. “Not always,” he murmured, his voice low enough that only I could hear. “But I’d say meeting you is definitely the highlight of the night.”
The photographer signaled us to smile, and we both turned toward the camera. But as soon as the shutter clicked, I felt Kenan’s hand lightly rest on the small of my back.
It was subtle, barely even noticeable, but enough to make my skin tingle with the warmth of his touch.
As the team broke apart, I lingered for a moment, pulling out my phone. “Hey,” I said, turning to face him. “Mind if I get a solo picture with you? You know, for my memories.” I winked playfully.
Kenan’s eyes lit up at my request, a slow smile spreading across his face. “For your memories, huh? I think I can do that,” he said, moving in beside me.
We posed for a picture, and as I snapped it, I felt his arm snake around my waist, drawing me in closer. When I pulled away, Kenan didn’t let go immediately.
Instead, he held my gaze, his expression more serious now, almost as if he didn’t want this moment to end.
“So,” he said, his voice soft but edged with determination, “I was thinking maybe I could take you out sometime. You know, since you came all this way to see me play and all.”
I laughed, shaking my head. “I actually came for the game,” I replied, though I knew the lie was obvious. “But you did play well.”
Kenan smirked, unfazed. “Well enough to earn a date?”
I pretended to think about it, pursing my lips. “Hmm… I’ll consider it.”
He grinned, clearly liking the challenge. “Then I’ll have to make sure you don’t forget about me.”
As he walked away, I realized that I wouldn’t be forgetting him anytime soon. The way he had looked at me tonight, the way he’d made me feel like I was the only person in the entire stadium—it was different from anything I’d experienced before.

my love is back home
sydney lohmann x actress!reader
summary: after being away to film movies and do press tours, you know where home is
love, closed distance
Tumblr media
it’s been months since you’ve last seen sydney.
between her football schedule and your intense filming commitments in the united states, the days felt like they blurred into one long stretch of distance.
the time zone differences, the constant travel, the late-night calls that sometimes ended in one of you falling asleep mid-conversation—it was all part of the routine now.
but even with all of that, you wouldn’t change a thing. both of you had dreams to chase, careers that demanded your full attention, and somehow, you’d made it work.
you remember how it all started, how you met sydney through laura—your mutual friend. laura had always teased that sydney was the perfect mix of soft and strong, and at the time, you didn’t think much of it. but when you finally met her, everything clicked.
you admired her instantly—her dedication to football, her quiet confidence, the silliness in her personality, and the way she could make you feel at ease even on the most chaotic days.
your schedules were never easy, but there was something about sydney that made all the juggling worth it.
now, sitting in the stadium in paris, your heart beats a little faster just thinking about her. sydney and the german national team had made it all the way to the bronze medal match at the olympics, and here you are, doing everything you can to surprise her.
filming had wrapped up just a couple of days ago in los angeles, and the moment you could, you were on a flight back to europe. you thought about heading straight home to munich, where the two of you share a home, but something pulled you toward paris.
this moment was too big, too important to miss.
the atmosphere in the stadium is electric, fans from all over the world– especially spanish and german fans– buzzing with excitement, but you’re trying your best to stay lowkey. with a cap pulled low over your face and sunglasses obscuring your features, you hope that most people will overlook you.
but, of course, they don’t. whispers of your name float around you, people nudging each other, pointing in your direction. some even snap a few photos discreetly. you do your best to smile politely but avoid drawing attention.
after all, this moment isn’t about you—it’s about sydney and everything she’s worked so hard to achieve.
you’ve positioned yourself with sydney’s family, sharing nervous smiles and quiet conversations about the match. her parents are beaming with pride, and it warms your heart to be here with them, to share in this special moment. they’re sweet people.
sydney introduced you to them around two years ago, not long after the both of you started dating. her mother recognized you from a movie she loved years ago so she was happy to meet you. the lohmann parents treat you as one of their own, and are happy to see you back.
when the match starts, you’re on the edge of your seat, watching every move, every pass, your eyes glued to the pitch.
then, when sydney comes on, you can’t help yourself—you cheer loudly, her name slipping from your lips before you can even think about it.
your voice carries over the noise of the crowd, and for a split second, you see her pause on the field. her head turns slightly, like she’s trying to figure out if she really heard what she thinks she did, but then she refocuses, too locked into the game to dwell on it.
you laugh to yourself, leaning back in your seat, your heart swelling with pride. she’s always so focused, so driven, and it’s one of the many things you love about her.
you know she’d never let anything—especially the thought of you possibly being in the stands—distract her from the task at hand. the match is tense, both teams fighting tooth and nail for that bronze medal, but when spain misses a crucial penalty, the entire stadium erupts in cheers for germany.
you jump up from your seat, clapping and shouting, adrenaline rushing through you as the final whistle blows.
sydney and her teammates are celebrating on the field, hugging, laughing, some even shedding a few tears of joy. your heart feels like it might burst with how happy you are for her. she’s worked so hard for this moment, and to see her here, to know that she’s walking away with a medal—it’s everything.
you watch her from a distance as she runs toward her teammates and the coaching staff, but it’s not long before she starts making her way toward her family. you’re standing with them, tucked behind her parents, when her eyes scan the crowd and finally land on you.
the second she sees you, her face lights up in disbelief. yes, you’re wearing sunglasses and a brown dodgers hat, but your girlfriend recognizes your silhouette and casual outfits.
her smile grows impossibly wide, and before you know it, she’s running toward you, her eyes filled with nothing but joy.
“y/n?!” she gasps, her voice full of surprise and excitement as she pulls you into a tight hug, lifting you off the ground just a little since she is still on the grass.
“you’re here?”
you laugh, wrapping your arms around her neck and holding her close.
“of course i’m here. i wouldn’t miss this for the world.”
“i can’t believe it,” she whispers, burying her face in your shoulder for a moment before pulling back just enough to look at you.
“how long have you been here? why didn’t you tell me?”
“i wanted it to be a surprise,” you grin, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.
“besides, this is your moment. i didn’t want to steal the spotlight.”
sydney shakes her head, her smile softening as she holds you a little tighter. “you could never steal the spotlight, y/n.”
without another word, she presses her lips to yours, right there in front of everyone—her family, her teammates, the cameras, the fans. none of it matters in this moment.
all that matters is that you’re here, and she’s home again, in your arms. you feel her relax against you, her fingers threading through your hair as she deepens the kiss, and you can’t help but smile into it. when she finally pulls back, her eyes are bright with tears she’s trying to hold back.
“you’re finally home,” she murmurs, her forehead resting against yours. “i’ve missed you so much.”
“i’ve missed you too,” you admit, your voice barely above a whisper. “and i’m home now. no more long shoots, no more late-night calls from different time zones… it’s just us, at least for a little while.”
she lets out a soft laugh, pulling you back into another hug. “i don’t care if it’s just for a little while. i’ll take whatever time i can get with you.”
the two of you stand there for a moment, wrapped up in each other, oblivious to the world around you. it feels like a weight has been lifted off your chest now that you’re finally back together.
you’re home—not just in the sense of being back in europe, but in the sense that sydney is your home. wherever she is, that’s where you belong.
“so,” she starts, pulling back just slightly to look at you again, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.
“how did filming go? how’s the big movie?”
“it went well,” you shrug, feeling the excitement of the past few months starting to settle in.
“it was a lot of work, but it’s done. we wrapped a few days ago.”
“and now you’re back to me,” she grins, leaning in to kiss you again, softer this time, more tender. “i can’t believe you came all this way just to see me play.”
“of course i did,” you say, your voice full of affection.
“you deserve this, syd. you deserve everything. i’m so proud of you.”
her smile widens, and she pulls you in close again, her arms wrapped around your waist. “and i’m so proud of you too. my superstar girlfriend.”
you laugh, shaking your head. “please, you’re the superstar here. you just won a bronze medal!”
“yeah,” she laughs, her cheeks flushing slightly. “i did, didn’t i?”
“you did,” you smile, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “and you deserve it. you deserve the world.”
as sydney greets her family and the celebration continues around you, you find yourself feeling more at peace than you have in months.
being with sydney, standing beside her in this moment—it feels right. you’ll always find your way back to her. because at the end of the day, she’s your home. and nothing will ever change that.

from across the crowd pt. 2… and as always enjoy loves <3 🏀⚡️🪩
“you probably have a boyfriend.. right?”
I heard what she had said, but it was like the words didn’t register in my head for another minute. i blush for a moment, and look down before looking back at her, smiling. “no..” I say giggling slightly. why am i acting this way? Tiff lock in. she seems genuinely surprised, but before surprise another emotion crosses her face that i cant decode. “a beautiful girl like you must have a boyfriend, though” she says in total surprise. she must think im lying. “no.. no boyfriend haha” I say trying to calm my nerves. why am i so worked up right now?
“well im sure your ex boyfriends regret ever leaving you, or letting you leave” she says, flattering me. i tense up for a moment. how do i put this? “ive.. never uh- had a boyfriend” i say shyly, slightly embarrassed. i can tell my cheeks are red, but i cant do anything to hide it. “no way..” she says quietly matching my volume. she pauses before speaking again. a smirk spans over her face and she puts her hands in the pockets of her sweats. my eyes flicker down to them for a minute. my breath catches in my throat. im suddenly brought back to reality by u the sound of paiges voice, louder this time. “did you hear me?” i look up to see paige a little closer than before, hovering over me. a smirk that can only be described as devilish on her face. shit. she saw me. “uhm, im so sorry, what did you say?” i say hurriedly, my face even redder than before. nice going tiff way to be nonchalant. “dont worry about it” is all she says in reply.
she looks back down, into my eyes. “whats your name, pretty?” she asks me intently, looking down at me. “my name is tiffany but my friends just call me tiff” i reply, proud of myself that i didnt forget my name. “tiffany,” paige says it again. “even your name is cute huh” i cant help but blush and look away from her for a moment.
theres silence for a minute. but not necessarily awkward silence. just us co existing with each other. i decide to say ‘fuck it’ and be bold. when is the next time im ever going to talk to a hot basketball player, who by the way seems to be very into me. i break the silence. “paige, if you want to know anything, just ask me” i say in a low voice. i could tell something was puzzling her. she knew i had never dated a guy, so im sure she was wondering if im into guys at all.. she looks down at me, her voice dropping an octave. she moves a little closer to me, and we are still in the tunnel towards the locker room so its just us still there at this point. she leans into my ear, and whispers “so no boyfriends.. hm” i can smell her scent even stronger than from her sweatshirt and it’s intoxicating. my eyes flutter closed, breathing her in. she pauses for a moment and i can hear her breathing, “no..” i reply my voice breaking slightly. just when i think shes about to question me farther she leans away from my ear. “just wanted to make sure i heard you right.” she says smirking at me.
she then reaches down next to her and grabs her bag. she puts it on and grabs her glasses, also putting those on too. i secretly hope this moment never ends. “so, will you be out celebrating the win at teds tonight?” i speak up and ask. her eyes flicker to me, still in her hoodie and she smiles. “will i see you there..?” she asks looking at me. gosh. how is she even more sexy with her glasses on. “i guess so” i reply, biting my lip.
she looks me up and down one more time. i can tell seeing me in her hoodie is making her think of a lot of different scenarios right now. “i need to go find my friends,” i finally speak, “but it was really great to meet you paige… i guess i’ll see you tonight.” I say smiling, trying to process everything that just happened in the last 20 minutes. she smiles back at me “here, let me walk you out” she walks over to me. we walk out of the stadium and i look over and up at her. she really is big. my croatian genes may have made me a lethal face card, but in the height department they lacked. heavily.
I spot my friends car and stop walking, before looking at paige. this was a sight. she had pulled on pj pants after the game and had her keys hanging out of her pocket. she had also pulled the hair from her ponytail into a messy bun. i also never would have guessed that paige had glasses. but then again, i had only known the girl for less than an hour. i move closer to her and pull her into a hug. “it was so nice talking to you, ill see you tonight paige.” i say, making sure the hug stays somewhat friendly. she bends down to hug me, and her scent floods my senses once again. “bye tiff, ill see you tonight love” I walk over to the car before really thinking about what she said. before i get into the passengers seat of the car i look back at paige. shes standing with her hands in the pockets, and her stance looks quite intimidating. as soon as she sees me get into the car safely she turned around and walked to her car.
i sit down in the passenger’s seat of madisens car. i buckle up before i look up to see everyones eyes on me. their mouths are wide open and theres silence.
“what?” silence.

Best Friends Sister . NM
Tumblr media
pairing: nika muhl x reader
synopsis: you tag along with your parents for your sister’s game, not knowing it would be the best decision of your life.

paigey: are you coming tonight with mom and dad or no?

paigey: i said i was sorry, dude. you should come though, i haven’t seen you for a minute
you: yea sorry, been busy and stuff. i’ll be there!
it was rare for you to attend your sister’s games on a regular basis. as much as you loved her and wanted to support, you were slammed with work and school and friends, the whole 9 yards. plus, watching millions of girls freak out over your sister was not your idea of a good time. but you’d been missing paige lately and wanted to show your sisterly support at least a few times this season.
so there you were, sitting outside your apartment on the concrete steps of the building, waiting for your parents to pick you up for the game. clad in UCONN attire, you picked at the weeds growing in between the cracks of stone.
arriving at the stadium, you could already sense the chaos. seeing all the girls there to see your sister play, it was a weird feeling. but once you made your way closer to the court with your family, seeing how happy paige looked out there, it made you feel insanely proud.
UCONN was up by 6 and your sister was killing it. being able to see her improvement throughout the game was truly rewarding to see. you cheered and hollered for each score until the end of the game finally rolled around, UCONN secured the win.
paige celebrated with her team for a few moments, reveling in their success before making her way to where you all sat. she greeted your parents with hugs, mom kissing her on the cheek and dad patting her back. then she maneuvered to you, dabbing you up before pulling you into a hug or your own.
“you killed it out there loser,” you congratulated “glad i got to see you play tonight, i’ve missed you!”
she laughed “thanks, me too”
paige worked her way around the rest of your family, taking time to chat with everyone. then she pulled you aside, motioning for you to follow her back down to the court.
“what?” you questioned, showing up at her side.
“thought i’d introduce you to everyone, plus aaliyah hasn’t seen you in forever and has been begging to see you”
you were always close with a few a her teammates, some of them being in paige’s life for so long that they became a part of your family. aaliyah, you were especially close with. but a lot of her other, newer teammates, you had yet to meet.
when you arrived on the court, paige leading you to the team, you started to spot some familiar faces. aaliyah ran over to you the second she saw you. pulling you into a bear hug and scolding you for not visiting more often. you greeted ice, too, congratulating her on a good game. it was nice to see them all again, catching up for lost time.
while in a conversation with aaliyah about how your job was going, paige politely pulled you aside again. she dragged you through the small crowd saying “i wanna introduce you to someone, i don’t think you’ve met yet”
finally, she stopped pulling you, coming to a halt just in front of the bench seats. paige was right, some girl you didn’t recognize sat on one of the seats, wiping the sweat from her brow and catching her breathe.
“hey, nika, i wanted to introduce you to my sister, YN!” paige said over the havoc of the stadium.
she looked up upon hearing paige summon her, eyes moving from paige’s and then to yours. she caught your attention right away, and suddenly, nothing else mattered once you locked eyes with the girl.
nika, you recalled paige calling her that, was the most beautiful girl you’d seen in your entire life. you studied every feature of her face right in that moment. her hair, you could only imagine how soft it was, pulled back in a near ponytail. her rosy cheeks, flush from exhaustion and excitement. her pearly white teeth that were so bright when she smiled at you. she was perfection if it were a person.
she was examining you as well, you could tell by the ways her eyes flickered between your eyes and down to your lips (triangle method iykyk). for a faint moment, it was just the two of you, lost in each others gaze. there was something about her, you couldn’t place it, but you wished you’d never have to look away.
unfortunately for you, your day dreams were interrupted when paige spoke up, confused by the silence.
“earth to nika” she waved her hand jokingly in front of her face “did you hear me? this is YN”
her eyes painfully pulled away from yours, looking at paige in surprise “right! sorry, i think i’m still a bit light headed”
she stood up, walking towards you and extending her hand out to you “very nice to meet you, YN, i didn’t know paige had a sister!”
your throat fell dry as you took her hand, gently shaking it. her touch lingered as her fingers swept against yours “nice to meet you too! yea i’m kind of all over the place and not around much so the team hasn’t seen a lot of me recently”
she eyed you again as you spoke. she tucked loose hairs behind her ear, smirking in a sultry manner.
“i get it, life’s busy” she bit her lip just enough for you to notice “but i’d..um-i’d like to see you around more”
“yea, hopefully i can stick around for a few more games” you joked, trying to hide how flustered you were.
“i’ll count on it” she said, then turned back to paige as she fumbled around in her bag, getting ready to leave “hey i gotta go catch up with a few people, but i’ll see you tomorrow?”
paige nodded, saying her goodbyes for the evening.
“see you around, YN” nika remarked, shoulder brushing against yours slightly as she walked past you, leaning in to whisper to you “and uh, do you think that maybe…maybe i could grab your number from paige or something? only if it’s ok with you”
you nodded your head vigorously, “yea, yes that’s more than ok with me”
she nodded back, flashing those dazzling teeth at you again before rushing across the court. you turned to face paige and saw the contorted look on her face.
“what the hell was that?” she asked.
“nothing” you suppressed a smile “it’s nothing”
that night, after the excitement of the game had worn off and you were back home, you were tucked into bed about to fall asleep. your phone buzzed abruptly, cashing you to roll over and pull it from its charger. your eyes squinted shut from the bright light of the screen.
unknown: hey is this YN? it’s nika :)
you didn’t have to think twice before responding and creating her contact.
you: it is, hi nika <3
nika: sorry to text you so late, paige was…very hesitant about giving me your number lol, but i was hoping i could take you out sometime if you’d want?
you: haha she’s annoying sometimes i’m sorry!
but i would love to you out with you!
nika: great! are you free friday? maybe 6ish?
you: definitely, it’s a date <3
you couldn’t stop smiling as you texted the rest of the night. who would have thought a basketball game would have changed your life completely?

When Somebody Loved Me (Everything Was Beautiful) (Alex Morgan x Reader)
Tumblr media
A reunion of childhood best friends would typically be a jubilant affair, but not in this case. No, because you were about to reunite with none other than Alex Morgan, the woman who left you behind when you were kids, the woman who'd broken not only your heart but your spirit as well.
I really want to thank @kingofmyheart-19, without them I doubt this fic would have gotten done, they helped so much and listened to my ranting on plot ideas and gave me some of their own, so thank you so, so much for the help, it was SO appreciated! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ They're also a writer as well, so feel free to go check out their page!
Disclaimer: This fic could be very triggering to some, it deals with abuse, speicifically child abuse, so if that's going to trigger you PLEASE skip this one. If you're still here, get ready for a 9K emotional roller coaster. As always, I'd really love to hear what you all think, this has been a fic I've been wanting to write for so long and I'm so happy it's done, so please, let me know what you think.
⚠️Trigger Warning: Child Abuse/Mentions of Child Abuse ⚠️
You closed your eyes, practicing the deep breathing you learned in therapy before your eyes open, the stadium where you would meet the USWNT looming overhead.
You knew you would see her, that you would have to see her, you were now working for her team after all, but the thought of your reunion made your stomach twist.
You could feel your chest tighten, a panic attack looming as you thought about your Y/E/C orbs meeting hers.
You wondered if they were still the same bright blues you remembered.
You shake your head rapidly, pushing those thoughts to the back of your mind.
Just because you were about to see each other again after so long, didn’t mean things were the same as they once were, she’d left you behind, and you didn’t think you could ever forgive her for that.
You didn’t know if you could ever forgive Alex Morgan for what she did, in all honesty, you weren’t sure if you wanted to.
With one final deep breath you slip out of your rental car and make your way towards the arena, mere minutes from reuniting with the woman that broke your heart.
************************************************************************
If there was one thing Alex Morgan didn’t expect, it was to see you making your way across the field towards her and the team, Emma Hayes at your side.
Her throat bobbed as she took you in.
You’d gotten taller, easily towering over her.
Your jawline was much sharper, and visibly clenched, something she used to get on you about when you were growing up.
The second your eyes met hers, her heart stalled in her chest, the Y/E/C orbs that would once soften when they locked with her blues, were now cold and sharp.
“Y/N...” Alex whispers when you’re in earshot and you glance her way.
“Do I know you?” You ask, a harshness to your tone that takes her aback, she’d never heard you speak that way, especially to her.
Her mouth opens and closes rapidly, the woman searching for anything at all to say, but it’s as if her vocal cords had stopped working.
Her teammates eye her curiously, their eyes darting between the two of you.
“Well, this is Y/N Y/L/N, she’s going to be our new trainer, she comes HIGHLY recommended, so try to make her feel welcome, okay?” Emma smiles, in no way missing the way Alex stares pleadingly at your profile.
Eventually, your eyes catch hers, her orbs the same bright blues that you often found yourself getting lost in years ago.
Alex isn’t able to utter a single word before you’re turning on your heels and moving towards the sidelines, Emma Hayes in toe.
Alex jumps when a hand settles on her back, a hand belonging to her longtime friend, Kelley O’Hara.
“Are you okay Al? Is something wrong?” She asks, able to read the woman’s face easily, picking up on the fact that she was incredibly upset.
“Ye-Yeah.” Alex stammers, her blues orbs burning holes in your back as you move out of sight.
“Everything is fine.”
**********************************************************************
The second Alex saw you, all the emotions she tried so, so hard to bury came rushing back, hitting her like a tidal wave.
She wasn’t prepared for the way you looked at her, your eyes hard and icy, a look she vaguely remembered when she spotted you in the hallways of your high school, your books hugged to your chest and a new bruise gracing your face or your arms, the woman knowing full well that more bruises were hidden beneath your clothes.
She knew deep down she deserved it; she severed ties with you when you needed her the most, and she could never wash away the guilt she felt every time you passed her in the hallway, your face twisted in a pained grimace.
That night, she stares at the ceiling, her blue orbs glassy as she remembers the first time, she saw signs of the abuse you were enduring at home.
***********************************************************************
“What are those from?” A small Alex Morgan asks as she points to the circular marks dotting your forearm, the skin a bright and angry red, the wounds fresh.
You shake your head rapidly, pulling your arm away from her.
“N-N-Nothing.” You mumble, the girl scoffing as she gently takes your arm, her blue orbs zeroing in on the sores covering your arm.
“What happened?” She asks and you shake your head, tears glistening in your Y/E/C orbs.
“Y/N...” She whispers, gently rubbing your arm, careful not to touch the marks.
“You can tell me anything...” She says, frowning when she sees a tear streaming down your cheek.
“What happened?” She asks again and you swallow, your mouth opening and closing before you croak out a single word.
“Dad.”
**********************************************************************
Needless to say, Alex didn’t sleep well that night, her mind racing, wondering if the wounds on your arm had increased in number.
She honestly wasn’t sure if she wanted to know.
Eventually, Alex dragged herself onto the bus that morning, her blue orbs immediately finding your Y/E/C’s.
You almost immediately turn away, as if you’re unable to look at her for too long.
She pauses, attempting to find something, anything to say to you, but again, she finds herself unable to speak.
She sighs in defeat before making her way towards the back of the bus, unaware that your eyes are on her, your nostrils flaring.
She had no right to speak to you, no right to even look at you, not after the things she’d done, not after she’d left you behind to be abused and neglected.
You growl, turning towards the front of the bus, your fingers curling around the seat in front of you.
If you had anything to say about it, you wouldn’t speak to Alex Morgan ever again, in reality, it wasn’t that you wouldn’t it was that you couldn’t.
**********************************************************************
Unfortunately, you’re forced to speak to her, the forward seeking you out when you reach the hotel, pushing her way into the elevator with you.
Your throat bobs as you stare blankly forward, your foot tapping and hands trembling, something Alex notices immediately.
“Y/N.” She whispers, her voice cracking, the sound pulling at your heartstrings, that sadness ebbing away a beat later.
“Y/N, you can’t ignore me forever.” She sighs and you shake your head.
“I told you; I have no idea who you are.” You say, the woman growling as you hastily exit the elevator, her hand catching your wrist, something that noticeably makes you jump.
“That’s bullshit Y/N, and you know--
Your lip curls in a snarl as you jerk your arm from her grasp.
“I USED to have a friend named Alex Morgan, but that was a long time ago.” You say through gritted teeth before turning on your heels and marching down the hallway, leaving a crestfallen Alex Morgan behind.
**********************************************************************
Despite the fact that your last interaction didn’t go well, Alex continued to try and speak to you, popping up seemingly everywhere.
Unfortunately, you would be on the road for a significant amount of time considering it was She Believes Season, the entirety of the team together more often than not.
The close quarters resulted in early mornings, and one morning, you’d made the mistake of rolling up your sleeves to your elbows, revealing the multiple scars littering your skin.
Alex stiffened the moment she saw them, tears filling her blue orbs as she saw the massive number of burns on your skin, burns she knew were made by the end of a cigarette.
She’s unable to keep the tears in her eyes at bay, tears streaming down her cheeks.
You pick your head up, the feel of someone staring at you setting the hairs of your arms on end.
Your eyes catch hers and your brows furrow, following her gaze to the scars dotting your arms.
Your eyes meet hers before dropping to your marred arm, your nostrils flaring as you turn away, tugging your arm out of view.
“Alex...?”
Alex jumps, her eyes meeting Kelley’s concerned brown orbs.
“Are you okay? Why are you crying?” She asks, watching as Alex wipes her tears away with the sleeve of her sweater.
“It’s alright Kel, it’s nothing.” She sniffles, her eyes burning holes in the back of your head.
Kelley eyes her profile worriedly before turning away reluctantly, wondering what it was that was troubling her so.
**********************************************************************
“When did that happen?” Alex asks when she catches you in the hallway on your way to your hotel room.
You turn on your heels, coming face to face with the woman you’d been trying to avoid, her blue orbs zeroed in on your scarred arm.
You pull your arm out of view, tucking it behind you.
“Like you care.” You bite, turning on your heels to take your leave.
“Y/N, you can tell me anything.” She whispers, her words stopping you in your tracks, taking you back to the day on the playground when you’d first told her that your father had burned your arm, when you’d first told her your father was abusing you.
“Like you don’t know.” You mumble, unable to turn to face her, tears stinging your eyes.
Your breath hitches when she slips around you, gently taking your wrist and inspecting your arm closely.
You’re unable to stop your heart from skipping a beat when she brushes the scars, her touch light and tender.
The scars were generally perfect circles, aside from those that overlapped, forming random shapes along your arm.
Alex frowned as she caressed the lumpy and disfigured skin, her eyes glazing over.
“Don’t act like you care.” You mutter, the forward frowning.
“I do care, Y/N.”
You scoff, pulling your arm out of her grasp, briefly missing the way her fingertips felt against your skin.
“If you cared Alex, I wouldn’t have these.” You growl, her throat bobbing.
“You can’t blame me for that Y/N, it isn’t fair.”
You bark out a laugh, the sound taking her by surprise.
“I wouldn’t have half the scars I do if it wasn’t for you. You abandoned me when I needed you the most, and for what Alex!?” You yell, surprised by the sound of your own voice and the anger in your tone.
Alex’s mouth opens and closes rapidly, the forward unable to find her words, that being enough to send you shoving passed her, your shoulder knocking hers as you make your way down the hall towards your hotel room, leaving the woman behind, just as she’d done to you.
That night, you can’t help but stare at your shirtless self in the mirror, the scars typically hidden beneath your clothes revealed, of course, to your eyes only.
How could you ever forgive Alex when your skin looked like yours?
How could you ever forgive the woman that you’d blamed for receiving them in the first place?
***********************************************************************
It was unsurprising to Alex that you put so much pressure on her during practice, as if getting back at her for all the pain she caused.
“Pick it up Morgan!” You yell, Alex noticeably slacking considering you’d spent the practice already putting her through the ringer.
It’s only after her drills end that she comes to a halt, panting heavily, her hands on her knees as she attempts to fill her lungs with air.
You shake your head, making your way towards her and leaning down.
“You don’t just make the team because you’re a pretty face, you know that right?” You bite, the forward shooting you a glare.
Your brows furrow when the corners of her mouth tick upward.
“Did you just say I’m pretty?” She teases and you scoff, pinching the bridge of your nose.
“Of course, THAT’S what you take from that.”
Alex’s lips split in a grin, her smile just as bright as it always had been, your heart skipping a beat in your chest.
“Hey, you said it, not me.” She smirks and you roll your eyes, turning her towards the remainder of the team before giving her a light shove.
“Get your ass over there Morgan.” You grumble, her grin widening before she skips towards the others.
You roll your eyes, unable to hold back a small smile as you too make your way towards the team.
**********************************************************************
The distance between you and Alex was still massive, no bridge long enough to bring the two of you together.
It wasn’t for a lack of trying on Alex’s part, whereas she tried to reach out, you’d only pull back, unwilling to bridge the gap, in fact, increasing its size.
Alex watched as you focused your attention Lindsey’s knee, wrapping it gently, the blonde saying something to you she can’t quite hear, but whatever it was, it makes you smile, a smile that still makes her heart skip a beat after all these years.
You move to your feet, giving the midfielder a pat on the shoulder before she turns and jogs onto the field.
“Thanks Y/N!” Emily says patting your back a bit harder than intended, as she jogs passed following Lindsey onto the field.
You go ridged, your hands trembling as you squeeze your eyes shut tightly.
Alex jogs towards you, the emotional turmoil you were experiencing unnoticed by the remainder of the team.
“Y/N...?” Alex whispers as she gently takes your trembling hands in her own, stopping their quaking.
Your chest begins to rise and fall rapidly, an anxiety attack impending, something Alex had seen happen to you multiple times before.
“Y/N?” She says again, giving your hands a squeeze, this time however, you speak.
“I said I was sorry... Please don’t…” You mutter, Alex’s eyes widening before immediately filling with tears.
“Come on.” She whispers, silently guiding you away from the team, catching sight of Emma Hayes watching the two of you, the forward shaking her head rapidly.
When you’re in a secluded spot, Alex cups your cheeks.
“Y/N, it’s okay, it’s me.”
You squeeze your eyes shut even more so than they already were, your hands shaking violently.
The tears in Alex’s eyes begin to stream down her face as she tries to think of something, ANYTHING to get you out of the catatonic state you’re in.
Her eyes widen, a memory flickering in the back of her mind as she pulls you into her, one arm around you and the other resting on the back of your neck, her fingers tangling in the fine hairs there.
She remembered holding you that way in high school, before your friendship ended, a nightmare pulling you from your sleep one night as the two of you slept side by side.
“I’ve got you.” She whispers in your ear, drawing lazy circles against the nape of your neck.
“And I’m not letting you go, never again.” She whispers, cooing softly in your ear.
Your breathing begins to slow, the motion of her fingers against the nape of your neck lulling you into a sense of calm, something you hadn’t felt in a long time.
She knew when you realized it was her that was holding you, you’d pull away, and the thought tore her heart in two.
You begin to relax, your shoulders sagging as your eyes slowly flutter open.
Almost immediately you move out of Alex’s hold, the forward frowning, missing the way you felt against her, missing the way her fingers felt tangled in your hair.
“What the hell are you doing?” You snarl, putting as much distance as you possibly can between the two of you.
“I-I didn’t know what else to do, you were having a panic attack.” She explains, her voice quivering.
You scoff.
“I didn’t NEED your help, I would’ve been just fine without you, like I ALWAYS have been.” You bark out before hastily leaving the room, not even sparing a glance back at the woman whose shoulder you roughly knocked into on your way out.
**********************************************************************
Even though you were angry at her, you knew you had to thank Alex.
You couldn’t imagine what would’ve happened if Alex hadn’t taken charge and took you to a secluded place to calm down, using a technique she became accustomed to using in your later high school years.
You could still feel her fingers gently drawing circles against the nape of your neck, something you longed to feel again, but you wouldn’t let her get that close again, you couldn’t.
You’re pulled from your thoughts when the very woman who’d been on your mind comes towards you, the woman silently shuffling from foot to foot as she waits to get her ankle wrapped.
You give Kelley a smile, the defender’s ankle wrapped in her own bit of tape before she jogs off, turning and giving Alex’s hand a squeeze on her way passed.
Alex comes to a stop in front of you, her throat bobbing as you gently take her ankle in your hands.
You’re silently wrapping her ankle in bright pink tape when you finally find your voice.
“I’m sorry.” You whisper, blue orbs widening as they meet your Y/E/C’s.
“You don’t need to be.” She smiles softly and you clear your throat, the sight of that smile effecting you more than you’d care to admit.
“I do." You sigh, the forwards cheeks flushing as you subconsciously caress her ankle.
“You...” You swallow hard, your throat bobbing.
“If you weren’t there for me the other day, I don’t know what I would’ve done, so... Thank you, Alex.” You whisper, clearing your throat, your eyes widening when you realize you’d been running your thumb gently back and forth along her ankle.
You give her a nod, reluctantly releasing her ankle, your old friend staring down at you for a moment before she smiles.
“You don’t have to thank me.” She mumbles softly, before her lips split in a grin.
“But you’re welcome.”
You watch as she makes her way onto the field, a smile stretching across your own face as you turn to Lindsey Horan, the blonde waiting for her knee to be wrapped.
However, you can’t help but look passed her, specifically at Alex Morgan, the woman beaming, wearing a smile you hadn’t seen her wear in a long, long time.
A smile that makes the butterflies in your stomach begin to stir, butterflies that died a long, long time ago, butterflies that were slowly coming back to life.
You didn’t like that the feelings you did your best to bury were resurfacing.
You blamed her, you were supposed to hate her, but the more she smiled your way, the more that anger and blame started to ebb away.
Your brows furrow as your phone again begins to ring, an unknown number stretched across its screen.
You shake your head, dropping your phone onto the top of a nearby bag.
Alex glances your way, smiling softly when your eyes meet.
The relationship between the two of you began to slowly change, you no longer looked at her with absolute disdain, instead wearing an expression she couldn’t quite place.
It’s when Emma Hayes blows her whistle that Alex sighs, making her way towards her bag, unaware that your phone had slipped inside.
She runs her hand through her sweat covered hair, catching sight of you out of the corner of her eye as you chat with Emma Hayes, a smile on your face.
She’d missed seeing that smile, mostly, she missed seeing that smile directed at her.
She turns away, reluctantly, unaware that your phone was buried deep inside her bag.
**********************************************************************
You growl, searching wildly through your bag in an attempt to find your phone, sighing when you come up empty.
You flop down onto your hotel room’s bed, your head in your hands.
The last thing you wanted to do today was lose your phone, but here you were, attempting to remember where you’d last seen the device.
A tentative knock on your hotel room door makes you jump, your brows furrowing as you make your way towards it.
You tug the door open, your eyes widening and brows knitting in confusion when you see Alex standing behind the door, the woman shuffling nervously from foot to foot.
“Uhhh, yeah?” You say, the woman nodding into your hotel room.
“Can I come in?” She asks and you hum, eyeing her intently before you step aside, uncertain why you’d allowed her into your room.
The door clicks shut behind you before you turn towards her, your arms crossed across your chest.
“What is it?” You ask, your eyes widening when you realize she was holding your phone.
“I found it in my bag.” She says, the look on her face telling you there was something more to the reason why she was in your room.
“Th-Thanks.” You stutter, taking it from her hand, the forward’s throat bobbing.
“It was ringing, and I answered it.” She says, your brows knitting, anger building in your chest at the thought of the woman invading your privacy.
“I’m-I’m sorry Y/N, I promise, I really didn’t know it was your phone.” She stutters, the anger you were feeling dissipating at the look on Alex’s face.
“There’s more to it, isn’t there?” You ask and she, sheepishly nods.
“It was your mother.”
Your eyes double in size, your body going ridged at the mention of the woman who’d done nothing, merely watching as your father abused and neglected you, a woman you hadn’t talked to since you were kicked out at 18.
You make your way towards your bed, taking a seat on its end, Alex making her way towards you, waiting until you give her a nod before she too sits down.
The room is enveloped in silence for a moment before you find your voice.
“Wh-What did she want?” You stammer, realizing the calls you’d been getting the last few days must have been from your mother.
Alex swallows hard, staring at her intertwined fingers, her mouth opening and closing.
“It’s your dad.” She whispers, noting the hitch in your breath, the woman unable to stop herself from reaching for, and covering your hand.
You find yourself taking comfort in her touch, something you thought you would never do again.
“What happened?” You ask, your voice barely above a whisper.
Alex clears her throat, seemingly searching for what to say before she mutters.
“He’s dying.”
You snort, in a sick sense, happy that the man who destroyed your childhood was about to die.
“Your mom said, he wants to...” She pauses, staring at your profile as she speaks.
“He wants to apologize, for everything, before he passes.”
You stiffen, your hands balling into fists, Alex’s thumb delicately running along your white knuckles.
You chuckle.
“Of course he does. He wants to clear his own conscious before he dies.” You snarl angrily, the thought of calling your mother and ripping her a new one prominent in your mind.
Alex remains silent, your brows furrowing as you turn towards her, her mouth opening and closing rapidly.
“What?” You ask, the forward shrugging.
“I may have...” She stops mid-sentence, shuffling nervously.
“Said some things.”
Your brows arch, noting that she’s refusing to look you in the eye.
“Like what?” You ask and she clears her throat.
“I may have told her your dad was a piece of shit, and that you didn’t owe him anything, that he doesn’t deserve to see you after all he did, and that she was a bitch who doesn’t deserve to see you either because she was just as guilty. He abused you, and she just watched and did nothing about it.”
Your brows arch, your eyes burning holes in the side of Alex’s head before you laugh, her blue orbs widening as she turns towards you.
You wrap your arms around your middle as you’re overcome with laughter, the thought of the look on your mother’s face as Alex tore her a new one, and the look on her face when it was Alex that answered the phone making you laugh uncontrollably.
You knew her and your father weren’t her biggest fans, considering she treated you the way you were meant to be treated, and loved you in a way that they never did.
“I would’ve paid to see that.” You say, wiping a tear from your eyes, the forward beside you smiling, her lips splitting into a grin.
“I meant what I said, you don’t owe them anything Y/N, even if he’s dying, you don’t have to go to see him, unless you want to.”
You shake your head, your eyes dropping to your and Alex’s joined hands, the feel of her hand in your own making your heart skip a beat.
“I know.” You say, taking a deep breath before exhaling loudly.
“I kind of want to see him, to show him that even though he treated me the way he did, he didn’t break me, that I became successful, and I didn’t need him or my mother to do it.”
You swallow hard, your gaze falling to your lap.
“I suppose...” You pause, frowning, unable to stop tears forming in your eyes.
“I suppose he did break me, didn’t he?” You mutter, your eyes widening a gasp leaving you as Alex’s hand leaves your own, the woman instead wrapping her arms tightly around you.
The tears that formed in your eyes began streaming down your cheeks as she held you tightly, her cheek pressing against your shoulder.
“He didn’t Y/N.” She whispers, squeezing you gently, not wanting to throw you into a panic attack like you’d had the other day.
You close your eyes, sagging in her hold, the hotel room falling silent as you simply let Alex hold you in her arms, a feeling you didn’t realize you’d missed so much.
You’re unsure of what makes you say it, but before you can think your lips are moving.
“I don’t know if I can face them alone.” You confess, Alex turning her head and kissing your temple, the woman stiffening when she realizes what she did, though she in no way relinquishes her hold on you.
“You don’t have to Y/N.” She whispers, smiling when she feels your arm slip around her.
“What do you mean?” You ask, your heart lightening in your chest at the thought of the forward coming back to your hometown with you.
“I’ll go with you.” She mutters nervously, leaning heavily into you, her hold on you tightening.
You go silent before you rest your head against hers, a soft sigh leaving you as you give her side a squeeze.
“I think I’d like that very much.”
**********************************************************************
The relationship between you drastically changed after that, the bridge was all but mended, the two of you almost as inseparable as when you were kids.
And when the She Believes Tournament ended, with the USWNT as the victors, you and Alex decided it was time to prepare to head back to your hometown, a place that held so many bad memories for you.
It wasn’t long before there was a knock at your apartment door, your hand freezing on the doorknob as you take a deep breath.
Despite the fact that things were better between the two of you, you still got nervous, worried that she would disappear again and break your heart.
You pull the door open slowly, Alex smiling when your eyes meet hers, a duffle bag slung over her shoulder a suitcase in one hand.
“Are you ready?” She asks as you step aside, allowing her inside, the woman taking in your small apartment.
“Honestly, not really.” You sigh, leaning against the island in your kitchenette.
Alex makes her way towards you with a frown, taking your hands, the gesture making your cheeks flush.
“Well, you’re not going alone, I’ll be there every step of the way.” She whispers as she caresses your knuckles.
You couldn’t lie, the feelings you had for Alex had resurfaced, and the closer you became, the more you realized that the feelings you had in high school had come back, tenfold.
You were in love with the woman currently holding your hands, the woman whose blue orbs sparkled when she smiled, the woman who’d broken your heart all those years ago.
You give her hands a squeeze, noting the flush of her own cheeks.
“I know.” You whisper pushing yourself off the island and moving to your full height.
“And it means a lot to me.” You say, bashfully staring at the floor beneath your feet.
Alex smiles softly, turning your hands over in her own before intertwining your fingers.
“It’s the least I could do.” She says, giving your hands a squeeze.
Her hands leave yours reluctantly and you sigh, missing the feel of her smooth palms against your own.
“Well, let’s go.”
**********************************************************************
Alex’s fingers drum on the steering wheel, her eyes darting to the passenger's seat, where you're fast asleep.
She knew this journey would take a toll on you, she knew that this was one of the hardest things you ever had to do, and she was happy you’d allowed her to be along for the ride.
You mumble in your sleep, your brows furrowing as your head turns back and forth.
Alex reaches towards you, gently covering your hand with her own as she pulls into the tiny roadside hotel the two of you were planning on staying in for the night before you reach your hometown the following day.
“Hey.” Alex whispers, tenderly tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
Your eyes slowly flutter open, your brows furrowing as you blink rapidly to clear your vision.
“Are we here?” You rasp, the sound of your sleepy voice making her smile lovingly.
“No, we’re at the hotel.”
You hum, stretching your arms above your head before you open the passenger's side door and slip out with a groan.
Alex slides out the driver’s side door, she too stretching.
“We had reservations, right?” You ask and she nods rapidly.
“I’ll go check us in.”
You watch her go with a small smile, the woman disappearing into the small hotel’s lobby, leaving you with the suitcases, which you didn’t mind.
You lean back against Alex’s car, staring up at the random hotel you’d decided to stop at on your way home.
You sigh, leaning your head against the car behind you.
You didn’t want to go home, you didn’t want to face your father and your mother, but you knew you had to.
You had to show them that you were well off, you had to show them that you’d made it without them, that you survived your father’s abuse and your mother’s refusal to do anything about it.
And having Alex Morgan by your side was just a plus, a major plus.
You remember your father taunting you, making comments about how Alex had finally learned how pathetic you were and made the right decision to distance herself from you.
Your throat bobs as you bite your bottom lip, staving off tears at the thought of your father’s harsh words.
Your mother wanted you to come home to hear their apology, but you had ulterior motives.
You were never going to accept her apology, and you were certainly never going to accept his, much like his apologies during your childhood, they meant absolutely nothing, and that wasn’t about to change.
“Hey.”
You jump, your eyes flashing open, immediately locking with Alex’s blue orbs.
“Are you okay?” She asks, concern evident in her tone.
You clear your throat, pushing off the car as you nod.
“Yeah, I’m just fine.”
***********************************************************************
It didn’t take long for the two of you to settle into your room, the pair of you flopping down onto the beds you’d be sleeping on for the night.
“I’m so tired.” You yawn, rolling off the bed and heading to your suitcase.
Before you realize what, you’re doing, you tug your shirt over your head, revealing your near bare back to the woman in the opposite bed.
“Oh my god.”
You twist on your heels, your eyes wide.
“What’s wrong? Are you alright?” You ask as you approach the forward, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“What is—
You pause your throat bobbing as you glance down at yourself, realizing your torso was bare, covered only by the sports bra you were wearing.
Meaning each and every scar that covered your flesh was revealed, scars dotting your arms, as well as covering your chest and back.
Alex’s hands tremble as she makes her way towards you, her eyes focused intently on your chest, a number of scars littering your skin, some from glass, some from a belt, and others you couldn’t really remember.
Lashes covered your stomach, as well as your back, red welts made mostly by your father’s favorite belt.
A wide array of cigarette burns covered your skin, mostly all over your arms, but some were on your chest and stomach.
“Jesus Christ.” Alex whispers, her voice cracking as she places her hands on your shoulders, taking in the destruction your father left behind on your skin.
“I-I...” She stammers, her bottom lip trembling as she turns you around, lash marks covering your back, overlapping into a mess of patterns.
Alex sobs, your breath hitching as she wraps her arms around you from behind, burying her face in the nape of your neck.
“I’m so sorry.” She cries, clinging onto you for dear life, her tears running down your scarred back.
You turn in her hold, wrapping your arms tightly around her, the woman burying her face in your neck as she cries.
“This is all my fault.” She sniffs, realizing that you hadn’t had the scars you do before the two of you had stopped being friends.
You shake your head, your chin resting on the top of her head.
“It isn’t. I’m sorry it took me so long to realize that.” You whisper, ducking down to kiss her head.
Alex pulls back, her watery blue orbs locking with your equally watery Y/E/C’s.
“It is Y/N!” She cries, searching your face intently.
“You didn’t have these before we stopped being friends.” She says, whimpering as she takes in your scars again.
“I—
“No.” She says, shaking her head rapidly.
“If I would’ve just told you how I felt, you wouldn’t have these.” She sniffles, your eyes widening, and brows furrowing.
“What do you mean?” You ask, staring closely at the woman’s face, noting the way her throat bobs.
“Come on, Al.” You whisper, gently placing your hands on her waist.
“You can tell me anything.” You say, repeating the words she’d said on the playground so long ago.
Much to your surprise, she stares at you blankly for a moment before leaning in, your breath catching as her lips meet yours.
The butterflies that recently began to stir, burst to life as you kiss your childhood best friend, something you’d wanted to do for so long.
Your lips lock, the kiss stimulating every one of your nerve endings.
You never wanted it to end, you never wanted to stop kissing Alex Morgan.
She sighs against your lips as you kiss passionately, feelings the two of you had for so long now revealed.
Reluctantly, you part, Alex’s forehead resting against yours as you catch your breath.
“Wow.” You whisper, smiling when Alex leans in for another kiss, this one softer, and shorter than the one you’d just shared.
Alex’s mouth opens and closes for a few seconds before she clears her throat.
“I didn’t know how to tell you back then how I felt, I was scared, I thought if I pushed you away, the feelings would go away, but they didn’t.”
She cups your cheeks, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
“They never went away, because I love you, Y/N.” She confesses, your eyes doubling in size, your heart skipping a beat.
“I always have, I just never knew how to say it...”
She licks her lips, inhaling deeply before continuing.
“When I saw you walking across the field, those feelings came flooding back.”
She rests her forehead against yours.
“I love you Y/N, I always have, and I always will.”
The room falls silent, the woman in front of you baring her entire soul to you, the knowledge that she’d felt the same making your stomach lurch with excitement.
You lean in, pressing a feather light kiss to her lips.
“I love you too, Al.” You whisper, Alex smiling against your lips as she throws her arms around your neck, kissing you passionately, the feel of her lips against yours something she couldn't get enough of.
The kisses remain tame, the urge to turn them into something more not present in any sense, the two of you catching up on the tender and loving kisses you’d missed when growing up.
You again, reluctantly part, your arms wrapping tightly around Alex, the forward burying her nose in the crook of your neck.
Unfortunately, your lips part in a lengthy, and loud yawn, the woman in your arms giggling as she leans back, leaning in to peck your lips before stepping out of your embrace.
“We should get some sleep, huh?” She asks and you nod, making your way towards your suitcase and grabbing the shirt you’d first intended to put on.
“Wait.” Alex whispers, placing her hand gently on your back so as to not scare you.
You turn to face her, a single brow arched as she motions to the shirt in your hands.
“Keep it off.” She says your throat bobbing as your eyes dart from Alex’s blue orbs to the shirt and back.
You hum, dropping the shirt before grabbing a few things from your suitcase and nodding to the bathroom.
“I’ll be right back.” You smile, pecking her lips before disappearing into the bathroom.
Alex, meanwhile, makes her way towards her own suitcase, slipping into a pair of shorts and a tank top just as you’re moving out of the bathroom.
She turns towards you, noting the way you shuffle on your feet, a sports bra covering your upper torso and a pair of sweats hugging your hips.
She holds her hand out, motioning towards one of the beds, your cheeks flushing at the silent invitation.
Nervously, you make your way towards her, her hand immediately settling on your bare stomach before she nods towards the bed.
“Do you want to share?” She asks in an uncertain whisper.
You gently take her chin between your thumb and index finger, tilting her head upwards until her blue orbs meet your Y/E/C’s.
“I’d love nothing more.”
Eventually, you turn the overhead light off, and shuffle into bed, the flickering TV the only thing bringing some source of light to the room.
Alex leans back, her blue orbs dragging down your front, taking in the scars covering your chest.
Your breath hitches in your throat when she ducks down, gently kissing a long scar running along your collarbone before turning her attention to the others she can reach.
Your eyes flutter shut, the feel of her lips a complete contrast to what it felt like to get the scars in the first place.
You can feel the tears streaming down your cheeks before you realize you’re crying.
Alex pulls away from you, tears forming in her own eyes when she sees you’re crying.
She cups your cheeks, pressing a tender, and loving kiss to your lips.
“Shhhhh.” She coos, her fingers running through your hair as you bury your face in her neck.
It isn’t long before you fall silent, falling fast asleep, tear tracks visible on your face as your childhood best friend holds you tightly.
She ducks down, kissing the top of your head, a hum leaving you as you snuggle closer.
“I love you Y/N, and I’m not going anywhere, no matter what.”
**********************************************************************
The remainder of the journey is uneventful, Alex’s hand in yours more often than not, the woman kissing you tenderly any chance she got, realizing how much the feel of her lips against yours calmed you.
Before you realize it, you’re passing the sign informing you that you’d made it, you’d made it to the place that held so many awful memories for you.
You cling to Alex’s hand tightly, the woman noting the feel of your clammy palm against hers.
“We’re here.” She whispers and you nod, your chest tightening.
“Y-Y-Yeah...” You stammer, the air within the car becoming less and less until you feel as if you’re unable to breathe.
Alex almost immediately pulls to the side of the road, gently cupping your cheeks, her forehead resting against yours.
“It’s alright.” She whispers, taking your hand and pressing it against her own chest.
“Try to match me.”
You whimper, tears running down your face, but your breathing halts entirely when you feel Alex’s lips pressing against yours.
You slowly part, noting the fact that your anxiety attack had been stopped dead in its tracks, your breathing slowly returning to normal.
“Are you okay?” She says softly, her lips brushing yours as she whispers.
Your eyes flutter shut, the tightness in your chest ebbing slightly, but not entirely going away, you knew what you had to do to get it to go away, and that was to confront your father.
“I have to confront him before I’ll be okay.” You confess, Alex kissing your lips again before turning her attention to the road.
“Well, let’s go do that.”
Alex takes your hand, her fingers intertwining with yours as you stand outside the hospital where your father and mother are, the aforementioned woman making her way towards you, tears in her eyes.
“Y/N...” She says, opening her arms, but quickly realizing the last thing she’d get was a hug from you, especially considering Alex had stepped partially in front of you, her protective side warming your heart considerably.
Your mother comes to a stop, her throat bobbing.
“I understand.” She says and your nostrils flare.
“Where is he?” You say curtly, Alex gently squeezing your hand, earning a squeeze in return.
Your mother frowns before nodding to the hospital.
“This way.”
**********************************************************************
Your mother didn’t even attempt to make small talk on the way to the room, she knew you weren’t there to embrace her and forgive her for everything she didn’t do when you were growing up.
Alex’s hand remained in yours, even as your grip on her hand became painful, she didn’t let go.
You needed an anchor, and she would be that anchor, for as long as you needed and as long as you would let her.
Your mother comes to a stop outside one of the many hospital rooms before turning towards you, her hands clasped in front of her.
“He’s in here.” She says, unable to look you in the eye.
“Please, try not to upset him, he doesn’t have much time left.”
Your lip's part, your nostrils flaring angrily, before you can speak however, Alex beats you to it.
“Yeah, because he cared so much about not upsetting Y/N when she was growing up.” She bites, your mother having the decency to look remorseful.
She didn’t abuse you, she never hit you, but she allowed it, and it was that thought that made you keep distance between the two of you, you weren’t about to forgive the woman who stood aside while your father scarred your body and beat you senseless.
She simply nods before stepping aside, motioning towards the room, knowing full well that the visit wasn’t going to go how your father expected.
You come to a stop, your chest tightening at the thought of seeing the man again, your free hand beginning to shake.
Alex turns you towards her, the woman cupping your cheek with her free hand, the other in a vice grip.
“I’ve got you. I’m not going anywhere.” She whispers, resting her forehead against your own.
You nod, your throat bobbing.
“Promise?” You whisper, your voice noticeably cracking.
Alex smiles, closing the distance between you, her lips lightly meeting your own.
Your mother meanwhile is unable to keep herself from smiling, happy in the knowledge that you had someone to care for you, unlike she had when you were growing up.
You give Alex a barely visible nod, the woman taking your hand and stepping through the doorway with you, partially in front of you in a protective gesture.
“There she is.”
You come to a screeching halt, your eyes darting towards your father who’s resting in the hospital bed, looking much smaller than he did when you were growing up.
“Well, aren’t you going to give your old man a hug?” He asks, his eyes still holding a hint of the anger you saw all the years ago.
“No.” You say curtly, leading Alex further into the room, your hands now full-on sweating, your face flushed.
“Why not?” He asks, his voice having an edge to it.
“Why?” You ask, laughing humorlessly.
You stare at the man blankly, realizing he had deluded himself into thinking you had no reason for not coming over and hugging him.
“Are you kidding me?” Alex snarls, the woman taken aback when you move towards his bed.
“Maybe because you spent my childhood beating the hell out of me?!” You roar, knowing your voice could be heard rooms away.
His lips part, the man about to say something but you don’t care, rolling your sleeves up and showing him the scars on your arms.
“Maybe this is why?” You yell, unbuttoning your shirt hastily, uncaring that you were basically standing in the hospital room wearing only a sports bra.
Your mother is unable to stop her breath from hitching when she sees the scarred flesh of your torso.
“Maybe this is why, DAD.” You say, your voice dripping with contempt.
Your father remains silent, the anger you’d typically seen burning in his eyes still there growing.
“I just wanted to see you before I go.” He growls, and you scoff.
“Well, here I am.” You say, throwing your hands in the air, Alex watching in something akin to awe as you confront your abuser.
“I’m not going to give you a big hug, and I’m not going to tell you I’ll miss you, because I won’t.” You bite, noting the jumping in your father’s jaw.
“How dare you—
“How dare I?” You bark out a laugh.
“How dare you think I should come here and just forgive you, just forget what you did to me growing up, how dare YOU.” You yell, cut off by a nearby nurse.
“Is something wrong?” She asks, her brows knitted in confusion.
Alex turns to her.
“This has been a long time coming, she needs this, let it happen.” She whispers, the woman shaking her head.
“I never said I was sorry.” Your father mumbles and you’re unable to stop yourself from laughing.
“Of course you didn’t, because you never felt bad for beating me.” You shake your head, the nurse, surprisingly, backing out of the room.
“Well, you didn’t break me, you didn’t win.” You say, your hands balling into fists.
“I came here to tell you that, and now that I did, I can move on with my life.” You say, turning towards Alex before leaving the room hastily, leaning against the wall outside of the room.
Alex turns to your father, the man shooting her a glare, a glare she returns, her blue orbs smoldering.
“You tried so hard to break her, but it didn’t work. She’s one of the best women I know, and I love her, more than you ever did, more than either of you ever did.” She snarls angrily, glancing at your mother who’s staring at the floor.
“She’s better than either of you, she rose above your abuse and became an amazing and talented woman, someone I’m proud to call my girlfriend.” She says confidently, your eyes widening when you realize what Alex had just said.
“Of course, as if she couldn’t disappoint me more.” Your father growls in reference to the fact that you and Alex were together.
Your hands ball into fists, the thought of walking in and jacking his jaw prominent.
“We don’t need your approval; we don’t want it.” She says, walking closer to the bed, the nurse who’d come in earlier coming towards you along with another nurse.
“Y/N is a better person than you could ever hope be.” She growls, turning to make her way out of the room, shooting a glare over her shoulder.
“I'm proud of her for coming here, for saying what she needed to say, and I know I put distance between the two of us growing up, but I’m going to be there for her no matter what, more than you ever were.”  She says before making her way out of the room, zeroing in on where you were leaning against a nearby wall.
She hastily makes her way towards you, throwing her arms around you, squeezing you tightly.
Unbeknownst to you, your mother had followed you out, wearing a frown.
“I asked you not to upset him.”
Alex relinquishes her hold on you, the two of you sending the older woman a piercing glare.
“Well, I asked you to be there for me growing up, and you weren’t. Looks like neither of us got what we wanted.” You say, taking Alex’s hand, the nurses making their way towards you coming to a halt.
“Don’t worry.” You say, glancing at the women.
“We’re leaving.” You say, turning towards your mother.
“The only reason you need to call me again is to tell me he’s dead.” You say, turning on your heels, and making your way down the hallway, Alex’s hand holding yours tightly.
It’s only when you’re walking out of the hospital’s entrance that you break down, falling to your knees, your body wracked with sobs.
Alex drops down beside you, wrapping her arms tightly around you as you sob loudly against her chest, the relief of finally telling your father how you felt, making you emotional.
“You did it, Y/N. I’m so proud of you.” Alex whispers, running her fingers through your hair as she coos softly in your ear.
You sniffle, tears streaming down your face, your nose running as you cry against her chest.
Eventually, you fall silent, your body twitching every so often as you sniff.
You pull back, your bloodshot Y/E/C orbs meeting Alex’s red rimmed blues.
She cups your cheeks, leaning her forehead against your own.
“How do you feel?” She asks as you breathe in deep, filling your lungs with air, your chest no longer feeling as tight as it did.
You sigh, cupping her cheeks, wiping the tears Alex didn’t realize were streaming down her cheeks away.
“Lighter.” You say softly, bumping your nose against Alex’s.
You fall silent before your lips split in a grin.
“Girlfriend, huh?” You tease, her cheeks flushing.
“I-I mean...” She stutters, cut off by your lips meeting hers in a tender, chaste kiss.
“I do like the sound of that.” You smile, Alex throwing her arms around you, giving you a tight squeeze.
The two of you eventually make your way towards Alex’s car, your chest feeling lighter than it ever had before.
“I’m so proud of you.” Alex says as she slips into the driver’s seat.
You turn back towards the hospital, staring up at the hospital where your mother and father currently were, an abusive man you’d finally told how you felt, a demon from your past that you’d finally faced and conquered.
You smile, slipping in the passenger's seat beside Alex, the woman immediately taking your hand.
“You know.” You pause, turning towards Alex who’s wearing a tender smile.
Your own lips split in a grin.
“I’m proud of me too.”
***********************************************************************
It’s nearly two years later that you find yourself back in your hometown, rain pouring down around you as you stand at your father’s grave.
You stare down at the stone stoically, noting the fact that it doesn’t say anything about being a loving father, but only a loving husband.
Your eyes widen when a dark shadow falls over you, a shadow belonging to an umbrella, an umbrella Alex Morgan is currently holding.
You take her hand, your fingertips brushing the ring wrapped around her ring finger, a ring you’d proposed to her with not that long ago.
Life had torn you apart, creating a distance between you so vast that you were not sure if the gap would be bridged, but it was also life that brought you together again.
It was life that led Alex to confess her feelings for you, and life that led you to where you currently were now, standing in the middle of the graveyard, your hand in Alex’s, the band of her engagement ring cold against your palm.
You turn towards her, smiling softly.
“Are you ready?” You ask, her brows arching when she turns towards you.
“Are you?” She asks, squeezing your hand as you turn back to the stone, nodding.
“Yeah, I am.”
Alex turns, her fingers intertwining with yours as you make your way back towards her car.
You chance one last look over your shoulder, staring at your father’s stone again before turning away, eager to start your life with the woman currently holding your hand, your chest feeling lighter than it ever had before.
After all these years, you were finally free, and you were free to live your life with the woman you loved, and that woman was your childhood best friend, and fiancé, Alex Morgan.

Witnessing your fiancé win his first final as a captain is a beautiful experience.
virgil van dijk x reader
Tumblr media
A/N: trying something new! let me know what you think. this is some four am fluffy brainrot btw
W/C: 1.340
Tumblr media
you wipe your clammy hands on the fabric of your blue jeans. it’s warm, you think, even though it’s barely ten degrees outside. your anxious, warm breaths turning into clouds when coming in contact with the cold air. the only thing missing is rain, the clouds looming over wembley stadium tonight would probably take care of that soon.
your eyes drift to the huge scoreboard a ‘waiting for extra time’ and a frustrating 0-0 meeting your eyes. virgil had managed to score a beautiful header a little past the second half of the match, though it was sadly disallowed after a var check.
you feel your hand being squeezed, it snapping you back to reality as you look to your left. cody’s girlfriend noa giving you a sweet smile. you had gotten close since both your partners were already very close, especially after cody transferred to liverpool a little over a year ago.
“calm down, I’m pregnant and not as anxious as you. have some faith in the boys.” she teases, trying lighten up your obviously nervous mood. you mirror the smile on her face, giving her a little nod in acknowledgment.
you had faith in the team, of course you did. you’d rooted and cheered at every match you’d been to, ever since you and virgil started dating four years ago. he’d proposed only last summer on vacation in beautiful mauritius.
you know how capable and trustworthy your fiancé is. leading liverpool as captain impeccably this season, and it looked like he and the team were back into their best form.
if liverpool won tonight, it would become his first trophy win as captain. extra special since klopp had announced his departure in the summer. giving the one of a kind manager a trophy his last season was very deserved.
you watch as the first fifteen minutes of extra time begin. you hold your breath a multitude of times, gasping and shouting along with the rest of the supporters when the chelsea players got a little too close to the net.
it seems like absolute torture when the second part of extra time starts. it had to happen within these fifteen minutes, otherwise you’d have to go to penalties. which in your opinion and many others was a stupid gamble, no matter how hard you’d practice shooting or stopping the ball. the saying ‘practice makes perfect’ didn’t apply to penalties, you always thought.
your eyes land on your sweaty, tired looking fiancé. his tall, big frame very easy to distinguish, even all the way across the stadium. his perfectly done hair was probably a little messy by now, small flyaways escaping from the low bun you’d styled carefully that morning before he left the house.
you watch as liverpool gets a corner, your eyes flickering to the scoreboard. knowing they had about three minutes to finally score the winning goal. maybe, this was their last chance. you and noa squeeze each others hand tighter, her other hand on her bump as you both watch kostas walk to kick the corner.
you hold your breath, kostas shoots and GOAL!
your fiancé scores a header, the liverpool supporters all roar in celebration. you and noa squealing and hugging each other from happiness. you heart swells due to how extremely proud you are of your fiancé. having difficultly holding back tears in your eyes.
the next few moments pass like a blur and before you know it, you see virgil holding up the trophy, surrounded by the entire team. you hug all of the wives and girlfriends next to you, some of them even teasing you by congratulating you for being engaged to virgil. you laugh, but you know they’re pretty much right. he was an absolute gem, both as an athlete, leader and your loving partner.
all of you are full with joy and relief, singing to ynwa proudly as you feel like you’re about to burst from happiness.
one would ask why you’d be so hyped and excited about winning the carabao cup, as if it was the champions league final. though, to you it didn’t matter what your fiancé won or achieved. you would get exited and emotional about it every single time, without fail.
you’re stoked as security confirms you can go down to the pitch to celebrate. you make sure noa is with cody safely before looking around for virgil. your eyes dart around as you almost spin a circle. you finally spot him looking at the spot you were sitting at, realizing he was doing what you were doing.
looking for one another.
“baby!” you call out, trying to get his attention. he turns immediately at the recognition of your voice. the sound of it never failed to bring a smile to his face, melting his heart like a ice cube thrown in boiling water.
you finally manage to make eye contact with him, running up to him as if you hadn’t seen him in years. you jump into his arms, his hands automatically moving to your thighs, unfazed by your sudden weight pressing against his body. his own motm award rested against your thigh, as he held both you and the award.
“there’s my beautiful love..” he says, his hair is indeed messy, baby hairs stuck to his sweaty forehead.
“I’m so proud of you..” you answer, panting a bit from your little run, looking into his brown eyes, your eyes traveling to the beauty mark underneath his eye, you oh-so-loved.
you cup his chiseled jaw, running the pad of your thumb along his short stubble. leaning in to kiss him breathlessly, lips pressing onto his plump ones, tasting the sweet energy drink he had probably just chugged. you wrap your thighs a little tighter around him, deepening the kiss. your own little prize for him to show how proud you are, for now…
you both were never the pda type, especially in front cameras that broadcasted worldwide at this point. so he only swipes his tongue along your bottom lip once, before pulling away. allowing you to stand on your own two feet again as he lowers you carefully.
“come take pictures with me, baby..”
he drags you towards the club’s photographers, making sure you both have pictures to look back on. holding both trophy’s as he allows you to hold the cup its self. eventually, rain sprinkling on both your faces.
after a couple more hours of celebrating you both arrive back home in cheshire, a prefect place you’d imagine to spend the next few years with your fiancé. you’d fallen in love with it, just like you heard your other wag friends say.
you lay on your bed, absolutely exhausted, maybe even more than virgil who had ran around the pitch for 120 minutes. you weren’t aware of the time, but from celebrating to the ride home, you could estimate it was past midnight already.
your eyes almost flutter shut, before you watch virgil walk out of the bathroom. freshly showered and dressed in his new pajamas you’d just got him.
“getting sleepy?” he asks, laying down on his side of the bed, pulling you in closer. his tatted arm wrapping around your back.
you hum, scooting closer to his chest and turning to lay on your stomach. placing your hands on his chest as you look down at him. the back of his head pressed against the white and gray pillows on your shared bed. his long curls splayed over them, not in a ponytail or bun, hair products he’d just applied smelling delicious.
this was your man, so fucking good looking you fought the urge to bite your knuckles. his gaze softened as his eyebrows relaxed, his bigger hand running up and down your back.
he lead his team amazingly, with a long list of injuries at the club you were worried. but the fact that they made it happen was insane, with the deciding goal from your fiancé and amazing leadership you couldn’t help but swoon over him, nonstop. eyes roaming around his handsome face.
“you okay love?” he asks in a deeper voice, chest vibrating against your hands. his hand now rubbing your nape. practically soothing you to sleep with his touch.
“I’m just admiring you…” you say, voice quieter than you expected. exhaustion taking over your body by the second.
“I can do that all night, baby. go to sleep now, hm…” he mutters, his hand pushing your head down onto his chest as you listen to his heartbeat. it lulls you asleep instantly.
he can only sigh in delight, a stressful but beautiful night ending with you sleeping comfortably in his strong arms. knowing you’d be supporting and loving him whatever happens, it just showed the love you had for each other.
his one and only love…

kiss it better | r. reigns
pairing: roman reigns x oc (asia)
warnings: none!
word count: 1568
summary: pride, arguments, and refusing to listen to each other ruined asia and roman. now, they have the chance to reconnect, but that's only if they can finally open up.
Tumblr media
"been waitin’ on that sunshine, boy, i think i need that back…"
asia’s legs bounces in anxiety as she sits backstage, up on one of the equipment crates that she knew she’d be yelled at about soon enough. she crosses her legs to lessen the awkward bouncing, but her mind is far away. to help with the stress, she’s playing music in her airpods, hoping to settle. first night back on the road from injury is scarier than most people would think, she’s anticipated her return for months, and now that it was here… what now?
rihanna’s voice fills her ear as kiss it better plays, almost as soon as roman walks past those curtains. she feels like she can shrink into herself. yet, she’s a bad bitch, unafraid of getting in someone’s face and getting what she wants, but that was different with him. he knew her weakness, and how to dismantle every fucking wall she builds up with one swing. he’s rude as shit like that.
roman was the one who suggested the break. he and asia were arguing too much before her injury, they were in each others faces too much, he doesn’t yell often, but with her, he couldn’t get a word in when she started. it wasn’t her fault. asia was passionate, a lover girl, and sometimes he didn’t understand her. she didn’t think he fought enough for her and he thought she was asking for too much. she wanted to be his person, but that nigga was hard headed, he wants to deal with everything on his own.
so, the night before she was injured, he called it a pause. asia took it, not willing to fight for something he obviously didn’t want to fight for. yet, she cried herself to sleep that night in her hotel room. asia couldn’t bring herself to answering his calls or texts at the hospital, or the months following. that was a breakup. it made it all too official.
yet, now when she looks up, his eyes are on her. asia can feel herself crumbling under his gaze. it hurts inside, just as rihanna is singing the song that so perfectly describes this moment. roman is prideful, she knew he wouldn’t come up to her. asia is even more prideful, so she looks away, staring at the bare wall.
the night was long, unbearingly long. the conversations didn’t help either. asia’s heels became bothersome, making her shift from
leg to leg as she stood near catering, in the middle of a conversation that bayley and bianca were having. she found herself quiet, tired, and wanting to disappear for a moment.
“you’re different,” bianca pokes when bayley leaves them. “what’s going on with you, girl?”
asia shakes her head, “why do i feel like this is my first time on smackdown? i feel lost.”
bianca sighs, “is it because you’re missing roman?”
asia smiles sadly. she waves off the question, running her fingers through her her as she scans the area around them. at the end of the hallway, roman’s in the middle of a conversation. as if he knew she was looking, their eyes meet. in his typical, aloof nature, he doesn’t react and continues on.
“i’m gonna go change, B, can we talk more tomorrow night?”
it was late when asia finally started to exit the stadium. she had to meet with paul, so most of the superstars were gone. so, now, as she carts her suitcase to her rental, her music is blasting through her headphones.
outside, she spots roman, as if he was waiting for her by his car. he’s paying attention to something on his phone. asia takes a deep breath, popping the trunk and throwing the suitcases in. she glances back to see him looking at her. both adults, acting as school grade kids, just staring at each other as if they weren’t in love. this felt like they have never dated, like they didn’t know each other. asia felt sick to her stomach at the fact that they haven’t said a word to each other, he hasn’t hugged her, kissed her, or sent her a smile. not that she was better because she’s avoided him all night.
he waited for her. roman waited to make sure she was okay, so that had to mean something. asia breaks the eye contact first, getting into the car. she watches him in the rear view mirror, getting into his car immediately, leaving first. asia leans into the headrest with a sigh.
why couldn’t they make it work?
--------------------------
seven months ago…
“hurtin’ vibe, man, it hurts inside”
asia stands in front of roman on the couch, staring down at him in a mix of confusion and anger at his nonchalant demeanor. he looks up at her as if her argument wasn’t valid, as if she was picking it out of thin air.
“roman, i’m asking you for a simple fucking thing, bro, why the fuck can’t you understand that.”
roman stands, “asia, damn!” he yells.
they fall silent. asia steps back before a dry laugh falls from her lips. she paces back and forth in front of him, trying to calm herself down, knowing that she can get very emotional at any given moment. roman rubs his hand over his beard.
asia grunts, “you claim to love me, but i just need reassurance from you and you’re making me beg for that from you like a bitch. why do i have to get on my knees and ask my boyfriend to act like he fucking loves me and he can’t do that.”
“i don’t act like i love you, asia, really?” roman moves to stand in front of her. “i show you that everyday in my own way, why can’t you see that?”
“you don’t trust me with anything, roman, i ask you to open up to me and be deeper. you don’t want to let me in and i can’t understand. do you not trust me or do you not see a future for us, cause if that’s the cause, nigga cut me loose.” asia screams, unable to contain herself.
“asia.” roman warns as he raises his voice. “stop.”
asia plops down on the couch, “make your fuckin’ mind up.”
roman clenches his jaw, “we need to take a break, asia.”
she didn’t know what to say. asia looks up at him, her eyes water as she waits for him to say anything else. something better than what he just said, but it never comes. so, asia stands, slamming the door of their bedroom door shut, feeling the rattle as she marches into the bathroom. asia turns the shower on, letting the water run as she cries.
and she cried for god knows how long.
--------------------------
“man fuck your pride, just take it on back, babe”
the rain poured heavily. asia wasn’t this person and she wasn’t one to cry and be, so why was she standing outside, in the pouring rain, standing a few feet away from his front door. he wasn’t home, she figured that out five minutes ago after knocking. was this her sign, to let it go? to move on and find something new?
as she went to leave, headlights pulled into the driveway. asia felt her stomach drop into her stomach when he opened the car door, stepping into the rain. roman quickly made his way to her, worry filling his eyes. the first emotion she’s gotten out of him in months. looking into his eyes made her tears immediately fall from her eyes that mixes with the rain.
“asia,” roman searches her eyes. “i saw you on the camera and came. are you okay?”
“im sorry, roman, i never should’ve said those horrible things to you and pushed you into something that you weren’t ready for and i should’ve been the adult and walked away before it exploded in that fucked up way it did.”
roman shakes his head, “that ain’t you, baby, i fucked up by not listening to you and talking to you. i was scared of shit i had no business of being scared of.” he steps closer. “with you gone, i realized how ain’t shit going good for me.”
the rain got heavier, but neither one of them made a move for shelter.
“you’re everything i’ve ever needed, asia, you the one i want.” roman moves the wet hair from her face. “my pride fucked up everything between us.”
asia smiles softly, “what are you willing to do, roman?”
“any and everything for you, forever.” roman returns the smile. “i take everything back. i don’t want a break between us, ever.”
like two, love sick fools, they’re find themselves smiling at each other. asia reaches out for him, but roman pulls her into the hug that she so desperately has needed for months. the start of repairing something that’s so important to them.
“can i kiss the love of my life?” roman whispers.
after a quick nod, roman crashes his lips onto hers. if there wasn’t thunder in the sky before, they caused it to erupt in the sky. asia wraps her arms around his neck as he lifts her, deepening the kiss.
“i don’t want us to ever do that again.” her murmurs against her lip.
asia couldn’t help the laugh that came out of her as roman squeezed her tightly, smushing their wet clothes together, too excited to be reunited again.
thank you for reading my first post, kinda nervy but I love write so here we are lmao. <3 also gif credit above.

hello, im not sure if requests are open or closed, if they're closed you can ignore this ^^
reader is female.
can i request a one shot where the reader is a part of team urameshi and reader and hiei were secretly dating until (either member of your choice maybe kurama or something) walks in on the two of them kissing and eventually they come out that they've been dating. :P
Tumblr media
☆ author's note : a little bit suggestive but not too much detail, I wrote most of this while i was super drunk last night and finally got around to finishing it up today, not sure if i love the ending tbh, but i hope this is to your liking ! ♡
❝ JUST BETWEEN US ❞
Tumblr media
You weren’t sure what to call it. At first it started with bouts of protectiveness, almost constantly initiated by Hiei. The Dark Tournament was a vicious, cruel game that in a way, exposed a softer side of Team Urameshi as a whole. How you all cared for one another. How you would all willingly fight a stadium full of monsters for one another. It a was a fast track way to bond for a pair of teammates that knew little to nothing of each other previous to boarding that boat and fighting to the death one round after another.
You couldn’t tell that anything had changed about him after the first match. You were bloodied, slightly concussed, and amped up by the adrenaline of having won your first fight. Bruises no doubt littered your entire body. Yusuke congratulated you with a rough pat on the back, his hand accidentally slapping against a particularly deep wound. You gave Kuwabara a half hug on your way back, his embrace gentler, but still sturdy with relief.
When your eyes broke contact with the healthy green grass you stamped beneath your feet, you met Hiei’s crimson eyes.
Almost like an accident, at first. How long had he been staring? His eyes quickly darted to the left, almost embarrassed to have been caught watching you. But why would that be unusual? You figured he was just still learning it was normal to care about his friends.
You instinctively stood beside him for the remainder of the fights. Not much conversation, both of your attention glued to the arena before you. Your shoulders feeling like magnets. More effort to distance yourself from his side than it took to stay there. Your eyes occasionally meeting when you dare to look from the fight to his face. Like he had been staring. A light pink dusting his cheeks when he’s caught in the act before he immediately looks away. Another complaint if you stare for too long.
If Kuwabara breathed too hard you never heard the end of it from Hiei. If a contestant took a misstep in the arena he had a corrective remark to make of it.
When your hand accidentally brushed his…he was silent. When your eyes met his in the middle of a group conversation…he was silent.
It wasn’t until one of your matches went sideways that he decided not to waste anymore time.
Feeling out powered. Out classed. Running out of ideas. Out of time… You thought you might really die in front of your friends and a stadium full of demons chanting, praying for more of your blood to spill on the pavement. Your vision gets blurry after losing enough blood. It’s like seeing through static. Lungs burning with exertion. Muscles freezing, locking in place. This is it, you think. This is death.
And Hiei’s voice breaks through the thick fog of your surrender.
“Fight, (y/n), fight!”
It’s by some miracle your opponent passes out seconds before you. You released a burst of energy, you don’t even know how, to knock them out of the ring and begin the count down. The sound of the announcer’s eager voice ringing in your eyes. One…two… staggering…and darkness.
Tumblr media
The air conditioner makes a comforting noise in the darkness of the hotel room. It’s a gentle hum. Sometimes a staccato to disrupt the pattern. Before your eyes even open, a heavy pounding begins in your head. Aching all over. Body heavy with exhaustion. And yet…your body fights. Shooting up in bed. Tense and primed for violence. Your hands balled into fists as your eyes adjust to the dark hotel room…
“Hn, finally. You’ve been sleeping for hours.”
It’s Hiei. His voice stirring an unfamiliar warmth in your belly that relaxes your muscles, your fight or flight instincts taking a back seat to an entirely new set of instincts. Of warmth…of uncertainty. You fidget in the white linen bed they assigned to you and let out a deep sigh you didn’t know you were holding in. “Did we win?”
“Obviously.”
You haven’t dared to look at him yet, you hand encasing your face as your body adjusts to its surroundings. The bed dips with his weight as he comes to sit beside you, bringing a cool cup of water up to your lips and tipping it. Holding the glass as you sip and then gulp all the water within the glass. A bead of water escapes from your lips, drips down the side as Hiei retracts the glass.
Unbeknownst to you, he watches that little bead of water carefully. He watches your face carefully the same way he watched over you while you slept. Examining your breathing, dressing your wounds.. The moonlight bounces off the side of your cheek and casts a glow around your features. Features he worried he’d never see again. The face he saw bloodied and battered in the arena. The face he had secretly hoped he’d get to enjoy for years to come…
When you finally turn to look into his crimson eyes…he is electric… A live wire full of emotion and pain. Before either of you even realize, his hand is under your chin and pulling your face close into an innocent kiss. A press of his lips against yours, and moving fervently, desperately against yours until he opens his mouth and lets your taste in. Until he’s on top of you in bed, moving the sheets away from your body to feel you close. Until you’re gasping at the proximity. Until you’re wondering if you really did win that fight or maybe if you’ve descending into a blissful hell and hiei’s there to greet you with the most blissful sins imaginable.
Tumblr media
No one notices for the rest of the tournament.
And, why would they? A life for death scenario each and every day. Never knowing whether or not you’d all finally make it home or if it’d be your last night on earth. Murdered in front of a live audience desperately cheering and hoping to see as much of a mess of your innards as possible.
You and Hiei made the most of it.
After everyone had fallen asleep. After everyone had made their way into their respective rooms. Whether it had been an exhaustive training day or an actual fight in the arena. You kept your door unlocked. Sometimes wandering through the halls of the hotel into his room, sometimes him seeking you out. Every touch of his calloused hands against your face. Every stolen glance or secret kiss. Every moment you had of darkness and peace after the tournament was indulged in between the two of you.
There were a few times you worried the secret would be given away. He didn’t like for anyone to stand too close to you. He didn’t like for you to volunteer for any fights, not if the four of them could handle it. It wouldn’t always be words or outward aggression he’d show to keep others away from you. Sometimes it was just an ominous energy emanating from him if someone else took the seat beside you. It took everything within his power not to drape an arm around you and tell his teammates flat out to back off. Don’t touch her. Don’t look at her. She’s mine…
Naturally, a part of you worried that it would all come to an end once the tournament was over. No matter how sad or distant it made you feel, you always welcomed the fire demon into your arms and into your heart whenever he made his presence known. Life was too short to waste time worrying about a future that might never come. Not when you already had everything you wanted in your arms.
Despite having made it all the way back home, you were pleasantly surprised when his affections didn’t stop then.
He still needed to see you. Still needed you in his arms. Still needed your lips and hips pressed against his. There was no one else but him. There was no one else but you. It was a bit hard to define the limits, but Hiei seemed to understand what you were. You were his. And he was yours. And that was enough for a demon from another world to understand.
Moments alone were easier to come by after the tournament. Hiei would seek you out whenever he felt like it, and the others were occupied with going back into the daily routines they held before. So when the team was called back together for another mission, you two were a bit out of practice in the sneaking around department.
The gang had been around each other almost every second during the last few days.
No alone time. No stolen kisses or quick pecks, not while the others were present and within sight. And every moment that Hiei had to go without your touch was another moment of growing agitation.
Kuwabara finally dozes off laying on the living room floor. The lights are dim in his family room, everyone had been strategizing hard for the next mission. Yusuke stretches his legs in front of him from where he leans against the couch, getting lost staring at the screen of his phone. Kurama stands stiffly before excusing himself for a light walk around the neighborhood.
You lock eyes with Hiei.
He gets up and disappears further into the house. You wait a few minutes. Eyes darting between the two boys in the room. Both tired and both not paying any attention. You finally stand and follow Hiei into an empty bedroom.
The room is dark, and the door closes behind you before your eyes even adjust to the darkness and register his presence.
It's his hand at your waist you recognize before finally meeting his crimson gaze. Your hand naturally drifts up to his cheek, cupping his face the way you've done dozens of times before.
He doesn't say anything. Doesn't need to. Not when his body already fills the silence. I need you. I miss you. I need you closer. I need your touch...
When his lips finally press against yours, his kiss is heated and desperate and heavy with wanting. Wasting no time to slip his tongue into your mouth, exploring your familiar taste and claiming you the way he had been dying to for so many days in a row.
Click.
The doorknob clicks open and the door bumps into the wall as it swings open. "Oh my god."
Hiei had instinctively gripped you tighter at the sound, pulling you close with one arm as his other hand gripped the handle of his sword.
A move which he instantly regretted, given the sight.
"Oh my god!" Yusuke points with a devilish grin, laughing at the unexpected discovery, "Are you two dating?! Hiei, you dog!"
Hiei grimaces at the detective's discovery. His grip on you only slightly loosening as he turns to threaten Yusuke. "Shut up you idiot."
"Oh my god, how did we not notice?! How long has this been going on for?!"
The discovery is entertaining enough for Yusuke to go on and on, only for Kuwabara to wake up and barge in and the entire secret is exposed. On the one hand, it's a bit of relief that you two won't have to sneak around the gang anymore. On the other, it's a relentless barrage of jokes and euphemisms while the two dummies come to terms with the discovery. At least Hiei won't be as agitated during the team meetings anymore, if he somehow manages not to kill one of them before the night's over.

Tumblr media
I shake slightly as I walk into the Olimpic team training area, bag and binder in hand. The imposing structure of the stadium looms above me, filled with the echoes of bouncing volleyballs and distant shouts. The Japan media agency was recently activated to manage the promotions and media activities for the team, and I was assigned as their specific manager. Lucky me. Kuroo deserved to be beheaded, it was his job to promote them anyway, he could do it by himself! Ok, that would be unrealistic, and I’m just pissed. Kuroo did NOT deserve to be beheaded.
Taking a deep breath, I try to steady my nerves, but I only shake more the deeper I get into the stadium. Anyone would be thrilled to work with them—actually, everyone was thrilled. I think I was the only one not foaming at the mouth to manage them; yet I think that was my downfall. Damn you, indifference. In reality, I wasn’t indifferent. In any other circumstance, I’d foam at the mouth like everyone else for the job. Yet, Suna Rintaro was a member of this team. Of course he is. I would’ve given my left arm for it to have been Osamu instead.
Suna and I dated in high school. If anything was known about me in those days, it was that I drooled for my boyfriend. As the manager for the Inarizaki team, I most definitely gave him preferential treatment, and Osamu loved to bitch about it. I missed those days.
I was head over heels, down on my knees for this man. And then he became a professional volleyball player. To quote him directly, “I don’t have the time for you.” Yet weeks later, I started seeing magazine articles of him out with different models. No time, my ass. Just say you don’t love me and move on.
I took the deepest breath I could muster and walked into the court area, laser-focused on making it to the coach first. The court was a whirlwind of activity, players diving, spiking, and shouting encouragements. My heart pounded louder with each step. I needed to ask for the remaining time from practice to talk and get to know the players as much as I could. When the coach finally spotted me, he looked me up and down with a scrutinizing gaze, then stared into my soul. Intimidating man. I smiled and extended my hand to him once I was close enough.
“Hello, sir, I’m L/N Y/N. I’m the team's new media manager, Kuroo Tetsuro had called to notify ahead of time. I was told I could have the last hour of practice to talk to the team and get to know them, if that’s okay with you, of course.”
He narrowed his eyes, his gaze piercing through my façade of calm, and gave a deep sigh. “Yes.”
I smiled and stood back, giving him the space to address the team when he thought it prudent. “Everyone, head to the showers and meet this young lady in the conference room in 10.”
A chorus of “Yes, sir” rang around the court, followed by the sound of sneakers squeaking on the floor. The players began to disperse, casting curious glances my way. Before anyone could properly look at me, I bowed to the coach and attempted to make a run to the conference room after being given directions.
“Y/N.” I stopped in my tracks, my eyes widening as I recognized the voice of Suna.
“Who?”
“Y/N, c’mon.”
“I really don’t know who you’re talking about. I don’t know this... Y/N, was it?”
“I can see it’s you. I know it’s you. I’d recognize your back anywhere.”
I spun around immediately, ready to chew him out for what he was insinuating, but I was met by his bright smile, almost as if he was expecting it. His eyes twinkled with mischief. “Yeah, no doubt about it. That’s my girl.”
I stopped the words that were about to spill out of my mouth and replaced them with a different set. “I’m not your girl anymore.” I looked down at my watch, more for symbolic effect than to check the time. “I will definitely be telling Coach Foster if you’re late to the conference room. You have five minutes left.”
Without giving him a chance to process what had happened, I turned again and headed pointedly to the conference room, my steps echoing my determination.
As I marched towards the conference room, my thoughts were a whirlwind. The confrontation with Suna had set my nerves alight, but I couldn’t afford to lose my focus. The team’s future media presence rested on my shoulders, and I had to be professional, no matter how tangled my past with Suna was.
The conference room was a stark contrast to the bustling court. It was quiet and orderly, with a long table in the center surrounded by sleek chairs. I set my bag and binder down, pulling out my notes and arranging them meticulously. I had just enough time to compose myself before the players started trickling in.
First came Sakusa Kiyoomi, his expression inscrutable as he took a seat at the far end of the table. He gave a curt nod, acknowledging my presence without a word. Next were Hinata Shoyo and Bokuto Koutarou, chatting animatedly and filling the room with their infectious energy. They greeted me with enthusiastic smiles, making me feel a bit more at ease.
Finally, Suna walked in, casual and confident, as if our earlier exchange hadn’t affected him at all. He took a seat near the middle, flashing me a knowing grin. I ignored him and turned to face the team.
“Thank you all for coming,” I began, trying to keep my voice steady. “As you know, my agency has been hired to manage your media presence; Kuroo Tetsuro will handle the rest of the coordinations or team promotions. My goal is to help each of you shine, both on and off the court. I’ll be working closely with you to develop your public personas and ensure you get the recognition you deserve.”
I paused, gauging their reactions. Most of the team seemed receptive, though Sakusa remained impassive. Suna leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, watching me with an unreadable expression.
“To start, I’d like to get to know each of you better,” I continued. “Understanding your personalities, interests, and goals will help me tailor our approach to suit you individually. We’ll go around the table, and each of you can share a bit about yourselves. Let’s start with you, Hinata.”
Hinata beamed and launched into a lively account of his journey in volleyball, his eyes shining with passion. His enthusiasm was contagious, and soon, the rest of the team was sharing their stories, laughing and bonding over shared experiences. Even Sakusa offered a few guarded sentences, and I could sense the walls between us beginning to crumble.
When it was Suna’s turn, he spoke with a confidence that bordered on arrogance, detailing his rise to fame with practiced ease. I couldn’t help but notice the glances he threw my way, testing my reactions. “I even had a girlfriend once, with me all the way to the start of my professional career; can’t believe I let ‘er go” I met his gaze evenly, refusing to let him see how much he affected me.
“Thank you for sharing, Suna,” I said, cutting him off before he could drag out his story any longer. “It’s clear that each of you brings something unique to the team, and I’m excited to work with you all.”
I glanced at my notes, ready to move on to the next part of the meeting. “Now, let’s talk about some of the upcoming promotional events and media opportunities. We have a few scheduled interviews, photo shoots, and public appearances. I’ll need your cooperation and input to make sure we present you in the best possible light.”
The discussion flowed smoothly, with the players offering ideas and feedback. Despite the initial tension, the atmosphere gradually became more collaborative. By the end of the meeting, I felt a sense of accomplishment. We were laying the foundation for a successful partnership, and I was determined to prove myself as their media manager.
As the team began to disperse, Suna lingered behind, his eyes following me as I gathered my things. I braced myself for another confrontation, but he simply leaned against the table, watching me with an amused expression.
“You handled that well, Y/N,” he said, his tone surprisingly sincere. “I wasn’t sure what to expect, but you’ve still got that fire.”
I paused, meeting his gaze. “I’m here to do a job, Suna. That’s all.”
He chuckled softly, shaking his head. “Sure, if that’s what you want to believe.”
“What I want to believe? You think I asked for this position?” I was appalled that he was suggesting I deliberately choose this to seek him out.
He gave me a cocky grin and without another word, he pushed off from the table and walked out, leaving me standing there with a mix of emotions. I took a deep breath, pushing aside the memories and focusing on the task at hand. There was a lot of work to be done, and I was ready to face it head-on. Suna was NOT going to make me lose my head. He let me go once, and I had given him all of myself, it wasn’t happening again. Kuroo was definitely getting an earful ‘don’t be so dramatic, It’s gonna be fine’.
I huffed to myself finally stepping out of the room and on my way to my car, my hand automatically reaching for my phone, if I had to vent, Kuroo was getting it.
As I reached my car and slid into the driver's seat, I quickly unlocked my phone and dialed Kuroo's number. The phone rang a few times before his familiar, lazy voice answered.
“Hey, what’s up?”
“What’s up? Seriously, Kuroo? You dumped the Olympic team’s media management on me, that’s what’s up!”
He chuckled, and I could practically hear his smug grin through the phone. “I knew you could handle it. You’re the best we’ve got.”
“Flattery isn’t going to save you,” I snapped, gripping the steering wheel. “You could have at least warned me about Suna being on the team. Do you have any idea how awkward that was?”
There was a brief pause, and then Kuroo sighed. “I’m sorry, Y/N. I didn’t think it would be that big of a deal. You’re professionals, right? Just… don’t let him get to you.”
“Easier said than done,” I muttered. “He’s still as infuriating as ever.”
“Look, just focus on the job. You’re great at what you do, and the team needs you. Besides, Suna’s just one player. Don’t let him distract you.”
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. “Yeah, you’re right. It’s just… complicated.”
“I know. But you’ve got this. If anyone can turn this team into media darlings, it’s you.”
“Thanks, Kuroo. I’ll do my best.”
“That's my girl,” he said with a note of pride in his voice. “Keep me updated, okay?”
“Will do. And Kuroo?”
“Yeah?”
“Next time, give me a heads-up, will you?”
He laughed. You got it. Take care, Y/N.”
I hung up and took a few moments to collect myself before starting the car. The drive home was a blur, my mind occupied with thoughts of Suna and the daunting task ahead. By the time I pulled into my driveway, I had resolved to put all personal feelings aside and focus solely on my work.
The next morning, I arrived at the training facility early, armed with my binder and a renewed sense of determination. Today, I had individual meetings scheduled with each player to discuss their personal branding and media strategy. I hoped to gain a deeper understanding of their personalities and how best to present them to the public.
Hinata was first. His energy was infectious, and his enthusiasm for the sport shone through every word he said. We discussed his goals and how to leverage his vibrant personality to connect with fans.
Next was Bokuto, who was equally charismatic but in a more boisterous way. His love for the game was palpable, and I made notes on how to highlight his dynamic presence in interviews and social media.
Sakusa was a bit more challenging. He was reserved and guarded, but I managed to coax out his interests and preferences. We discussed ways to showcase his quieter, more introspective side while still appealing to the team's fanbase.
Finally, it was Suna’s turn. He sauntered into the conference room with his usual nonchalance, sitting down across from me with a smirk.
“Let’s get this over with,” he said, leaning back in his chair.
I ignored his tone and focused on my notes. “Alright, Suna. I want to understand your goals and how we can present you to the public. What are you hoping to achieve with your media presence?”
He raised an eyebrow. “You really think people care about that stuff?”
“Yes, I do. Your fans want to know more about you than just your performance on the court. They want to connect with you as a person.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Fine. I want to be seen as a serious athlete. I don’t want all that fluff and nonsense. Just focus on my game.”
I nodded, jotting down his words. “Got it. We’ll highlight your dedication and professionalism. Anything else you want to add?”
He studied me for a moment, his gaze intense. “You still care about what people think, don’t you?”
I met his eyes, refusing to back down. “It’s my job to care, Suna. And it’s yours too, whether you like it or not.”
He smirked again, but there was a hint of something softer in his eyes. “You’ve changed, Y/N. You’re tougher now.”
“I had to be,” I replied, packing up my things. “Meeting’s over. Thanks for your time.”
As I walked out of the room, I couldn’t shake the feeling that Suna was watching me, his eyes lingering longer than necessary. I pushed the thought aside and focused on the task at hand. There was still a lot of work to be done, and I was determined to succeed.
Over the next few weeks, I threw myself into my work, coordinating interviews, photo shoots, and public appearances. The players gradually warmed up to me, and we began to build a cohesive media strategy that highlighted their unique strengths.
Despite my initial apprehension, things started to fall into place. The team’s media presence improved, and their popularity soared. Even Sakusa, with his reserved nature, began to open up in front of the camera.
Through it all, Suna remained a constant challenge. He was professional during our meetings, but there was always an undercurrent of tension between us. Yet, I couldn’t deny that working with him pushed me to be better, to stay focused and not let my emotions get in the way.
One evening, after a particularly successful interview session, I found myself alone in the conference room, reviewing the footage. The door creaked open, and Suna walked in, his expression unreadable.
“Hey,” he said, closing the door behind him.
“Hey,” I replied, not looking up from my notes.
He walked over and sat down across from me, his gaze fixed on my face. “You’ve done a good job with the team.”
“Thanks,” I said, still focused on my work. “We’re not done yet, though. There’s always room for improvement.”
“Yeah, but you’ve made a difference. Even I can see that.”
I finally looked up, meeting his eyes. “What do you want, Suna?”
He leaned back in his chair, his expression softening. “I just wanted to say… I’m sorry. For everything. High school, the way I ended things. I was a jerk.”
I blinked, taken aback by his sudden sincerity. “Why now?”
“Because I’ve had a lot of time to think. And seeing you here, working so hard, made me realize how much I messed up.”
I sighed, feeling a mixture of relief and frustration. “I appreciate the apology, Suna. But it doesn’t change what happened.”
He stays silence his eyes seeming to be inspecting my face, as if looking for something else “I know, I still wanted to try”
I studied his face, searching for any hint of insincerity. But all I saw was genuine regret. “Fine”
He smiled, a real, honest smile that made my heart ache with nostalgia. I hate that I genuinely miss him.
As he stood up to leave, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders; but a certain, different desire settled in me. I watched him leave, and closed my eyes for a second. It seems watching him leave was all I knew how to do.
I turned back to my notes. There was still a lot of work to be done, and I was ready to face it head-on, no matter what challenges came my way; but maybe I needed Kuroo to come along with me more often, even if he was busy getting the schedules and making the plans.
One afternoon, after hours of looking through notes and interview footage, I found myself in the staff lounge, nursing a cup of coffee. The room was quiet, a stark contrast to the chaos outside. I was lost in thought when the door opened, and Kuroo walked in, looking as tired as I felt.
“Hey,” he said, flopping down in the chair next to mine. “How’s it going?”
I sighed, rubbing my temples. “Busy. Exhausting. But good. The team’s doing great.”
Kuroo nodded, taking a sip of his own coffee. “You’re doing an amazing job, Y/N. Glad I choose you to help me out, I don’t know how I’d do it without you”
I smiled, feeling a bit of the tension ease. “Thanks, Kuroo, I apreciate the apreciation; what are you doing here anyway? Mister sports promoter not have a big fancy office at a big fancy building?”
He raised an eyebrow and turned to face me, the scrutiny in his eyes heavy “I want to wear gym clothes every once in a while, and I cant do that at the office. Miss sports media manager” I smiled and nooded, showing I understood.
I mean, he was right, one of the couple of upside of working in the training arena was the ability of being able to show up in sweats and leggings, as it was the most proper attire.
He chuckled, leaning back in his chair. “But seriously, if you need anything, just let me know. We’re in this together, even if I am technically your boss”
“Actually,” I said, glancing at him, “I was thinking if you could come along to a few more of the meetings. Having you there would make things a bit easier.” My voice filled with hope.
Kuroo looked at me, his expression thoughtful. “Of course. I’ll rearrange my schedule. All the player meetings or someone in particular?”
I felt like a deer caugh in headlights “well… uhm…”
“So just Suna Rintarou?” he asked with a knowing tone, and I couldn’t deny it; I just hoped he would agree to it and not pull the ‘I’m your boss’ card, not that he ever did “Sure, I’ll do the meetings with Suna and pass along the info”
“Thanks, Kuroo,” I said, feeling a wave of relief wash over me.
He grinned, standing up. “Alright, I’ll leave you to it. Let me know when the meetings with Suna are”
“Will do,” I replied, watching him leave the lounge. As I turned back to my coffee, noticing it was cold.
I was going to start seeing Suna a lot less often, no more weekly meetings with him, and I would try to make my time in the office a little more unnavailable to him by doing them exclusively during practice hours. This was something high school me would’ve come up with, and I knew that, but I don’t currently have the mental space to come up with something better.

OKAY I HAD TO HIT YOU W THIS BC I NEED THIS TO COME TRUE 🗣🗣‼️‼️
AcademicRival!Miguel x AcademicRival!reader
where they will do quite literally ANYTHING (legally) POSSIBLE to one up each other.
whether their petty rivalry began in high school or first year of uni/college, IDC- but they absolutely despise each other.
and!!! at some point down the track, they forgot why they were beefing in the first place, only for it to start stemming from a place of 'jealousy' (yk how sometimes jealousy is actually feelings of romantic interest in disguise,, yeah, that) and it gets to the point where they are quite literally making it all their friends' problem bc of it.
like i can imagine reader drinking something that Miguel sees and Miguel going 'i need to have this all the time and sell it out so reader can never have any' and Peter is like '???', or reader finding out Miguel got a certain mark and goes 'nobody speak to me for a month i have to understand everything about quantum physics before that smug asshole opens his mouth' and Jess is like '??? just kiss, fym??'
and then they finally have a moment where they have no choice but to rely on each other- whether Miguel's car breaks down on the side of the road reader happens to drive by and she takes him to his, or if reader desperately needs help in a situation and immediately calls him bc she knows he'll pick up bc she needs scary dog privileges and thats HIM so then they end up having a moment of reflection together with either super fluffy smut or absolute debauchery and fluffy aftercare i totally dont mind either way.
IDK do you know what i mean??? 🫣🫢🤭
anyway LY BLUE-BLUE, thank yew for letting me ramble on 🤍🩵
Are you asking me to write this? 🧐 (I shall add it to the pending ideas list just for you 🐰🩵)
I wrote that as a reply as soon as you sent it, but now I have more ideas that I wanna yap about to go along with this.
SO!! You already have a rivals, enemies to lovers trope going on. What better way to make it even more fun than to add the stoic x chatty dynamic???
Like I’m imagining the reader and Miguel first meeting in middle or high school. He’s a transfer student that’s immediately making the top grades and people are like where tf did he come from?? Reader doesn’t really think anything of it, she just carries on with her school life, chatting away (and getting in on the gossip about Miguel).
It’s not until he ends up in the same class with reader one semester (probably in high school) that reader is finally able to be in close contact with him. He’s so quiet and a little boring, but there’s always random girls coming in and out of the classroom to attempt to chat to him.
They’re always bringing snacks or sweets for him. He always turns them down with a “No thank you. I don’t like chocolate.” type of response. (What he thinks to be polite and cordial)
The guys in the class think he’s a huge jerk. The girls in the class still fond over him. You think he’s an oddball, a weirdo. But you really have no solid information to justify it.
It’s not until one day that the teacher asks this obscure question that he pisses you off. (I havent thought of a weird question yet tho). Everyone else has given crude or stupid answers, riling each other up and joking. You raise your head to give the most out-of-the-box, yet plausible answer that leaves the teacher impressed and the class laughing in shock. Miguel scoffs and debunks it so fast, that you start to feel like one of his rejected groupies. If you thought the laughter for your answer was loud, the laughter for his sounds like the crowd in a football stadium.
You’re embarrassed but you don’t really show it. You just brush it off and joke with everyone else like usual.
Then, one of the class’s first huge tests come. You’re gunning for the number 1 spot although you figure it won’t be too hard with half of the room being class clowns and the other half not giving af. You read over the material once and already have a good grasp on it, so you joke around with everyone else. There’s rap battles and TT routines. You guys even manage to get the teacher in on some of them. From the front of the room, you can see Miguel glancing back at you with such a sour look on his face. Wtf was his deal??
Test day finally comes. You’re the first to turn yours in with a smug smile on your face. You even take a nap until the next bell.
You’re on cloud nine for about a good week. Although, every time you open your mouth in class, Miguel looks like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Then, the time came for the teacher to hand out the papers. He was pretty theatrical and loved to announce who got the highest score.
You were gearing up for him to say your name. And you don’t know of you’re crazy, but you’re certain your mom didn’t put “Miguel O’Hara” on your school registration form.
You frown as you come back to reality, watching as teacher handed him is paper. From your seat, you can see the bright red 100 in the corner, a smiley face to adorn it.
Then the teacher hands you your paper. A 99.5. Just 0.5 points from a perfect score. And what you got points taken off for is something so ridiculous that you could scream.
You can see him in your peripheral as you chat with the other students about the answers. Just as you discuss your silly mistake you take a small look at him. He has a faint smirk on his face, as if to laugh at your downfall.
From then on, you decide that it’s a war.
[and obviously, the story would travel with them as they grow. Once they’re adults, I can imagine Miguel to still be this same stoic, yet more approachable person who has had a ROSTER of hookups and a reader who’s still so flirty and chatty, yet can’t find a good partner to save their life. The dynamic of him knowing exactly how to make reader feel good verses reader being overwhelmed for once would be sooooo good]
What do you think Lexie-bun?? 🥸

~•°TOKIO HOTEL
FIRST CONCERT°•~
The boys were still in the hotel,Tom, Georg and Gustav were in the hallway waiting for Bill inside his guest room, Tom was starting to get impatient, he took out his little flip phone before opening it to see the time, his eyebrows furrowed when he saw the time, he turned to the door, his fist meeting the door to bang on it a multiple time,he raise his voice as he lean against the door
"Bill what are you doing? We're gonna be late if you don't come out NOW." Georg lean against the door to listen what was happening,He heard the sound of Bill's boots getting closer and closer to the door, Bill finally opened the door and looked at the other 3, he was going to speak but Tom grabbed his wrist : "We don't have time to talk about you for another 10 years, come on hurry up, let's get in the car, don't give a damn if you have to redo your hair" The four Germans rushed down the stairs... without missing that one of them almost tripped and started a human Dominoes with the other three mid stairs-
Once in the car they were able to take a minute to catch their breath after this moment of sport, Bill immediately took out his pocket mirror to redo his hair because the one running will ruin his hair with the wind..The four boys were impatient for their first concert together, the concert arena was about fifteen minutes away ,What felt like an eternity for the boys,After these long minutes that felt like hours, the car finally stopped in front of a large stadium. The boys got out one by one in front of the stadium, a little shocked by the size of it,Without asking any questions the boys entered the stadium, there were already a ton of fans who must have been waiting for days...or even weeks, the boys returned to their places, they had each bought VIP seats in the front row to be able to see everything and miss nothing from this experience..They were so impatient, Bill had bought almost all the merch from the stands in front of the stadium...but then he has every right given all the money the group makes
AND THAT ALL...they went to see Britney Spears cuz they secretly (not really) all fans of Britney Spears, they all were screaming like fangirl when Britney Spears appear💅🙄IT WAS RANDOM HELP BUT I THINK WE SHOULD TRY DO SOME OTHERS FC THAT ONLY ROMANCE,btw sorry for my bad english i use Google translate cuz i totally suck,Afterwards, I'll let you imagine the rest of the concert experience because it's funny, maybe I'll change it later and put an end to it but rn I'm too lazy so go with it
