i honestly still edit motion the same way (i actually made a tutorial for it here) but i’m a lot more sparing with it, because most of the time it’s unnecessary to show motion when you can show movement instead. even if the scene is just two characters sitting down and talking, i try to find a way to force them to move, stand up, do something with their hands, etc. in those cases, i don’t need motion blur, i just need to be careful with my camera angles! and omg my editing has changed soooo much, i wouldn’t even know where to start listing the changes. when i first started on simblr, i would literally take a yellow brush and dab it on the corners of each picture and gaussian blur it to create “light leaks” fjskdjs they looked like shit 😭 i’ve hit all the phases: way too yellow and overexposed, way too dark and desaturated. i used to have sooo much clipping and i had no idea how to fix it the way i do now. but it’s all a learning curve! i can make fun of my old editing decisions, but i don’t regret anything because those decisions are the only reason i know the things i know now :’)

Nothing, literally nothing he just happens to always suffer in the fics I choose oops. This fic is one I really like, and it portrays the close outsider’s perspective on a horrific event really well. I was iffy on putting this in because it’s not really the angst type I was going for (more death less trauma?) but I really liked this fic, and while I was making my end note, I kept thinking about it so yea. Atsumu best boy. (PLEASE READ THE TAGS, THERE ARE SENSITIVE TOPICS!!!!)

You might be thinking, done already? Wellllllll there were a lot of fics where I decided against putting them on (cause I felt like it didn’t really match what I wanted to be recommending but idk what the theme was LOL oops but yea I would look at a fic and think well it is angst but not the right TYPE of angst y’know?) and I really hate reading angst (there’s a lot of days where I shouldn’t cause my mental health said no thanks LOL). mayor guy: hes just too good to be true but once again, thats the point of his character hes there to be so great and awesome or whatever (the fact that he didnt even care about the cheating lmao)

that redheaded pta mom: ofc we werent supposed to like her anyway,, the beginning she was cool she was a villain with motive. For the children, always the children. we want healthy food, and no drugs and yadda yadda and then this blonde bimbo lookin ass bitch gets a job at the mayors office and starts taking over?? ofc she’s actually passionate about the town so georgia itself isnt the problem moreover this womans a little self centered and didnt like not being the champion of the children.

nora : her being one of the only non mixed poc in the show is one of the only memorable things about her. one of the least developed characters in mang. I *like* that she wasnt as messy as the other girls,,, per se. but she was just a bystander in their fuckery and didnt really have opinions of her own. the most relevant thing she did this season was spill the beans on Ginny’s mom having a gun, and even that didnt have big consequences on her and her relationships to the other characters

ginny’s dad(?): ahhhh ok heres the thing, hes not a *terrible* dad by any means. its clear he cares about both ginny and jonothan and he cares about georgia too. hes a little shortsighted when it comes to georgia and because of that things dont always pan out. but its kind of not believable he didnt see how serious georgia was about mr.mayor sooner. like it wasnt until that one scene when he took a picture of georgia he realized, oh damn i just slept with her and got my daughter excited about us finally being a family and me being a presence in her life and now i realize that was a mistake,,, like man, come on dude.

*austin:urg see we’ve gotten plotpoints and stuff with him but i want to see MOREEE. i know hes like in 1st grade but still i want MORE. why is he obsessed with harry potter, has he always had a hard time making friends???does he have a predisposition to violence? hes growing up with two very hardheaded independent women in the household how does that effect him. when we saw that he ditched school to play in the woods my little heart deflated. seeing how excited he was with ginny’s dad thawed my heart. even when he warmed up to the mayor i was like awww. 

abby: second least developed girl in mang but i like her she has potentiallllllll aghhhhh. like all we really get is that her parents are always fighting and shes hot and cold bitchy. that and she has *body isssuuueeees* but we only get to see these things when shes *alone* which makes sense, her character feels alone alll the damn time. shes lonely all the damn time. not in the way ginny is, whereas ginny most likely has social anxiety and is self concious about social situations. but abby’s alone in the sense where no one really gets what shes going through, and no one really cares. when she duct taped her thighs and was dared to switch clothes,, she said hell no and stormed off. no one really got why or asked, and unlike with the other mang girls, no one followed her. no one cared. and yeah that can be attrubuted to the fact that shes hot and cold with the bitchiness but they tolerate alot of shit from eachother in general but they still care,, theyre still empathetic. with abby she has to deal with it alone then after the fact dump everything on them, partly because she doesnt tell anyone, but also they dont care about her as much do they? like “oh maxine stormed off we have to talk to her” or “oh no ginny! you have our support even though we fight” nora has no personal problems of her own, shes the only one with a stable relationship and getting great head, with abby its “oh shes abby, she’ll get over it”

hunter: he was also one of those characters that’s too good to be true. but at least i feel like i have a better grasp on his motives,,, some of them. like he was an alright boyfriend. he asked her out, didnt rush her, communicated his feelings, met her family. but *why* was he interested in her in the first place. it seems like he was more into her than she was into him. well, that was true ginny couldnt stop cheating like the fuck. but yeah why did he like her so much anyway? idk.

marcus:marcus is literally so hot. like what the fuck. but anyways,,, looking at his actions prior to the reveals at the end of the season he is,,, for all intents and purposes. a raging douche. Dont roast me i like him but. He hooks up with the new girl, while stringing along padma, tries to bang her when shes hopped up on birthcontrol, tries to bang her when shes in a committed relationship ,sent nudes with her when she was- he literally only ever showed up to ruin her life tbh. BUUUUT ok after the finale it kinda makes sense. he wasnt that loner douche with a dead friend and a motorcycle he was every bit as awkward and lost as everyone else. he lost a friend, he had a hard time adjusting, hes been dampening his feelings and he wasnt necessarily adept to whats been going on around him, kinda stuck in his own head. he had an idea of what was going on, with his sister, maybe his other stoner friends but i do feel like he got a wake up call with ginny. however he did do padma dirty tho justice for padma.

ginny: She annoyed my ass more than anything but shes a 15 year old girl, basically the banality of evil. Is it bad to say i liked ‘loner ginny’ more than tight fitting crop top skinny jeans ginny? because i did. loner ginny had her head on her shoulders, priotities in tact, good head on her shoulders. but knee deep into the show ginny was highkey selfish, spoiled, and came down with a bad case of main-character syndrome. yes im talking about her bitching her entire 16th bday because her mom distanced her from her shitty hick family. not to mention she kept cheatingon hunter, not to mention she got mad at her dad for hooking up with her mom, among other things. Like one part of me gets it, she finally is here to stay in a place with friends that care boys that pay attention to her and a social life and home life thats actually stable and shed do anything not to lose it. but on the other hand, loner ginny understood that not everything revolved around her. and while it wasnt fair what ginny had gone to up until this point, at least she wasnt constantly fucking over the people that cared about her.

maxine: shes soooooooo 💖✨⭐️❤️🎄. shes just cute and flighty and wants love. yes shes *white* so shes out of touch and ignorant yet shes a rlly good friend. there are people who may say that she sucks up all the air in the room and i disagree she just happens to be one of the mang girls with a life,,, and a personality. shes the glue THE GLUE THAT HOLDS THEM TOGETHER AND THE LIGHT OF EVERYONES LIFE

georgia: obviously. georgia is perfect. georgia is iconic. georgia is girlboss. georgia never did anything wring. everything georgia did was validated. but her an a jesus candle

Alright, I finally read Reincarnation no Kaben

AFTER MONTHS (it’s probably been a month? My mind doesn’t keep track of the days) I FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO RNK. Ty to Okita anon for the recommendation (*￣3￣)╭💕💕💕 I absolutely loved it. 

After this I’ll start on the other recommendation you gave me. I kept a bit of a log of my reading journey under the read more tag. 

Major spoilers for literally everything in RNK up to ch 53 “Withdrawal”. 

Oh, and I’ll finish answering all my leftover asks and I SHOULD have a fic done by tomorrow. I was so ready to write and then I got up. Now I’m back to bed. 

I’m just gonna write this as a log since I read super super slow and I’m only on ch 7 at the start of writing this but I’m really liking it already. Though to be fair. I love everything okita anon recommends haha. I remember you saying you were simping over Kouu and I haven’t gotten to the part where he appears but I wanted to quickly google what he looked like to prepare myself and I see this:

I was actually kinda surprised by how many western figures were in the manga since I know there are only like 7? Around 7 western figures that pop up in any anime/manga but seeing people like Albert Fish was kinda surprising but I really liked it. Also, at the end of certain chapters they write little bio’s on them so you get to know more about them was such a nice touch.  I also love that the tradition of making males -> females still stays strong even outside the fate universe hehe.

Literally, the next chapter I see him. AHHHHHHHHH. Well maybe not him but his eyeballs. 

This guy lowkey reminds me of the MC’s brother but it’s 99% because he has the same long ponytail. I wouldn’t be surprised if the brother was apart of the the Greats. Honestly, Ein reminds me of those really hard headed girls that are actually really kind on the inside but aren’t good at expressing themselves (maybe because that’s pretty much her character). I also like that Ein doesn’t like males but she’s hiding behind this guy. At least, I’m..99% sure this is Ein. 

I FUCKING KNEW IT. AS SOON AS I SAW HE GOT A THEIF TALENT I COULD FEEL THE SOLO LEVELING VIBES IN ME. HE CAN STEAL TALENTS I FUCKING KNEW IT!!! I’m surprised that Neumann didn’t say anything and  Haito seems to be aware of it.  

Edit: Ah okay, I understand a bit now but it almost seems like Haito is the only one aware of Toya’s second talent.

Edit 2: Okay, as much as I love power hungry MC’s I’m really glad they didn’t make Toya into that. I am such a softie for sympathetic and kind MC’s like these even though it’s been done so many times. I’m really glad this didn’t feel like a rehash. I mean, some points some of the stuff Toya says it does but it’s fine, I don’t mind that. I like that Izo always has the same hat in every adaptation he’s in lol. Istg, cats are always op. Schrodinger seems so strong and the parallel universes are my absolute shit. Sometimes I think, in one universe I did this and in this universe I’m not. Would I rather stay in this universe or be in the one where I am actually productive. Usually I pick the productive universe and actually work but sometimes I’m a bit of a slacker haha. I think this is my approach to a lot of things in life. But I digress, I don’t wanna get too deep into my life. 

I can sorta sympathize with the sinners. At least the ripper guy to say the least. I love love love unhinged characters that just want to basically destroy the world or at least have fun. But then you find out- wait they are actually sympathetic oh no. That’s how I felt about Djoser in “im the great priest imhotep” (please...i beg...someone read this...I’m so starved). 

As much as character development and rooting for the hero is cool and all, I just want to simp for the crazy “let’s burn the world to the ground” kinda character. I’m also so glad Toya doesn’t automatically become evil and try and steal everyone’s talents because he does seem like a good person and I really don’t see him suddenly switching fields so when he saved (I don’t remember names I’m sorry), the undead solider it was really nice. Proves that he still has his humanity and isn’t strictly relying on the branch of sin. 

It makes sense that he wants to steal talents since he never had one (and it was kinda out of left field when he killed Vlad and we just never addressed that ever again haha) but to see him actually consider his actions and if he actually want’s to steal his teammates talents feels right to me. Poor guy doesn’t seem to have a lot of friends so this is the first time he’s ever seemed to have companionship, aside from Haito, so I really hope he doesn’t attempt to steal their talents. I think I’m thinking of the slime? That time I got reincarnated as a slime manga/anime. Where he’s the pokemon catcher of skills. I thought that was where it was going. 

But I do kinda like how selfish Haito and Toya’s talent stealing relationship is (I mean, later it develops but my first draft of writing this I wasn’t there yet). I’m not sure if selfish or like self-gratitude/pride is the right word but it’s kind of a breath of fresh air. Rather than Haito trying to contain or “help” Toya’s inferiority she’s actually encouraging it and using her own talent for her own...acknowledgement? Er, yeah let’s go with that.

As much as I hate that Hitler is getting drawn as a small child I really like this. I know the whole, oh I killed your friends but I’m letting you go because you express humanity but I’m gonna finish my death with a sympathetic line, can be annoying to people but idk I really liked this. 

Honestly this and the undead soldiers death hit me hard ngl. This manga might not have my favourite art style during some points compared to like main stream manga but it has some really beautiful scenes.

THE PONY TAIL NEVER LIES AND HES DA VINCI IT MAKES SENSE NOW

He looks so cute lol. I like that Seiya has the talent of being talented in everything while Toya has the talent to steal other talents. Seiya can probably only cap his power by his own physical/mental abilities with Toya can pull a solo leveling and go further beyond. Thinking of it like jack of trades vs master of none type deals. Though, I might be thinking too hard on this. I like that this man is actually humble but I really wish there was a tiny bit more to him since we only get this one interaction/backstory but the manga isn’t completed yet. I really hope we get to know about Seiya more;; like how he became da vinci or etc. 

Everytime I see Neumann I look at that comic sans type and it kills me on the inside. But I love that her eyes are 01 just, mwah perfection. These little details that aren’t that big but it’s soooo nice. I also ahem, unhinged character heart be still. It’s really nice reading manga in bursts because you can see the art progression and damn does she look good.

Nightingale gives me mad masaki vibes from chainsawman. I hate them and I can’t wait for you to fail, but the inner part of my is cheering for you because unhinged characters are my shit. I feel really bad for Neumann, I had suspicions she wasn’t actually like that since it’s sooo out of left field but I’m really glad the manga seems to know what it’s doing. I really wish we got more Kouu interactions with everyone tho. 

NOW THIS. THIS IS SOME WHOLESOME STUFF. I WANT THIS. I REALLY WANT SPIN-OFF OF REALLY SAD ANIME/MANGA/STORIES WHERE ALL THE DEAD PEOPLE HANG OUT. In conclusion, and I should probably re-read what the characters say and not go off on memory because I’m about to get really deep. I really like how they phrased why they wanted to stop the branch of sin. That there are people just like Toya and Haito who, if they never found the branch of sin, could still probably lead respectable and okay lives. That there was a “them” in another universe that didn’t go down that road and that they want to be in the same universe as “them”. I know this sounds really confusing if you haven’t read the manga but going back to what I said about the parallel universe stuff. 

There was a universe where Toya and Haito didn’t rely on the branch of sin, that even without their talents from becoming a returner, they could still live a happy life given their own personalities and attitudes. It was kinda moving since in the beginning, Toya wanted a talent so badly and now that he has one. He’s realizing that wait, I don’t need a past life talent in order to live. Honestly, I hard relate to that because I totally agree with him. If you have a talent you can probably live a very happy and comfortable life that other factors wouldn’t matter if you just have that incredible talent. Thinking of it as a painter or artist, if you had actual god-given talent you wouldn’t need to worry about other factors since people would naturally seek that talent. So you end up comparing yourself to others and setting that limit on yourself. 

But that’s okay, it’s completely natural and I’m not saying it’s horrible if you do this. Fuck, I do this all the time. I’m not saying the manga is changing my life but it’s kind of refreshing that it get’s talked about since other adaptations of this just make the character super OP. I understand wanting to have that incredible talent, fuck who doesn’t? but you don’t need it in order to live earnestly in the bigger picture sense. Not everything you do has to be productive and honestly, learning to be okay with having fun is nice. Just being okay with who you are right now, even if it isn’t perfect in your eyes, you still have time to build upon yourself and your own talents but doing it for yourself. 

But I probably missed the point and I’m going way to deep haha. But I really enjoyed reading this and thank you once again to okita anon for the recommendation^^ I always love everything you send me and I’ll start reading the next one. If anyone else has any recommendations let me know!

So I’m doing this again for the last book. I actually finished the book a little over a week ago but I moved within the past week so posting this totally skipped my brain for a bit. Oops! This time I wrote these down while reading so I could have an even better representation of what I was thinking to look back on. So without further ado, here are my thoughts!

Iconic • I can and can’t believe Jude won against her • I like Heather a lot. I wont blame her for not taking Vivi back if thats what she chooses, but I think they’re cute other than Vivi neglecting to tell Heather anything about Faerie and then glamouring her • Oh great Taryn • Well this is a turn, I definitely didnt expect to be rid of Locke and especially not by Taryn’s hands - but I ain’t mad about it either • Jude going as Taryn is bound to be messy • This dream • Taryn being fed faerie fruit is really weird and more is bound to come out of this • Idk how Jude is gonna get out of this • Oh, he knew it was her. Whew! I finished and I’m so extremely happy. This was a wild ride but I’m so glad I picked up The Cruel Prince (which has been sitting on my shelf for the better part of half a year) and read it. I loved this trilogy SO much!! I wish I had read The Cruel Prince earlier, but at the same time I’m kind of glad I waited because waiting for The Queen of Nothing to come out would’ve been agony. Again, if anyone happens to get through all this, I would love to talk to other fans of the books. And now I don’t have to worry about spoilers!

a/n: yea, so basically i’m in love with all kinds of bts ships :( and these two make me so soft istg it’s nearly impossible to make me go uwu but these two literally made me insane :’( so I listened to scenery and I had this cute little idea in my mind: hopefully you’ll enjoy reading it, as much as i loved writing it

Before both of the boys left their home they double checked if the weather was really as grey and windy as their phones predicted. Taehyung assured his friend that it was indeed really important for him to have a more triste and sad surrounding for his pictures, rather than a more colorful bright weather.

“yaaaaah.. dude you’re so weird! who the fuck goes to take pictures when it looks like that?” Yoongi widely opened his eyes and made a gesture with his hand showing the big balcony glass door that showed the sad outside view. He sighed as he realised that his younger friend didn’t seem to care about his words at all. “Are you even listening to me…” He said while pouting, keeping his glance at the wooden floor.

Taehyung held his camera in his hand, checked once again if he charged it fully and if the camera is well adjusted for the plans he had in mind. He carefully took a look at the tiny yoongi that was wrapping himself up in thick clothes so he wouldn’t catch a cold. He smiled to himself, keeping the secrets once again from yoongi, trying to not even dare to tell him that he was the only reason he wanted to go on a sudden shooting outside in the woods. 

Even though both were complete opposites of each other, they were still inseparable. Of course it was undenieable that little fights now and then couldn’t be prevented. But his love for yoongi was something.. else. Just now in this moment, his older friend didn’t know that taehyung had these kinds of feelings for him. However, Taehyung did not have the plan to letting him know any time soon. 

“Come on! It’s going to be just fine! I promise!” Taehyung finally breaks the silence, showing off his pearly teeth and his lips forming into his famous boxy smile.

“Ahh.. it’s so windy!!!” 

Yoongi’s hair kept getting messy, due to the strong wind that started to blow around through the forest. His face was buried in the scarf and his small eyes looked tired. He was trampling behind his taller friend and put his hands in his jacket pockets. Even though he loved his friend, he sometimes had the urge to just push him into the next possible stack of loaf. What was he even doing here? He had no business here, and literally could spend his time wisely. But everytime Tae looked at him with a questioning stare, whenever he would ask if he would loved to join him during random shoots like that, his heart just couldn’t say no. Even though he knew that Taehyung would understand if he would decline any time soon. 

“Ahh.. isn’t this beautiful?” Taehyung said, while aiming the camera at some tree bracnhes and flowers. Yoongi just rolled his eyes as reply and went further on the path they were following. “Dude.. are you mad?” Taehyung finally broke the awkward atmosphere both were into. “Nah.. it’s just.. it’s cold.. and I’m tired..” Yoongi stood still, rubbing his eyes and going through his messy hair. “I just want to support you, but I don’t know how, Taehyung..” Taehyung smiled and looked at the back of his older friend, that was facing him. Gosh he didn’t even suspect him at all! How completely oblivious he needed to be, to not realise how much in love Tae was with him. Not even filming or shooting his surroundings was as important as spending all the time he had with him. 

What a cute grumpy idiot he was..

“Wait up! I want to shoot you!” Yoongi scrunched his nose and gifted him the most weirded out look he ever pulled. “W-Why?” Taehyung chuckled. “Do you trust me?”

“I don’t feel comfortable ahhhh!” Yoongi screamed in a relatively tiny voice, while Tae showed him the pose he wanted Yoongi to imitate. Taehyung ignored his behavior simply and made sure his outfit looked as messy as he wanted, just to be sure he also scruffled his hair a bit. “Yahhh..” Yoongi replied, now with a more soft tone to it. Since he was really pale, it was so easy to spot when he blushes. Tae’s heart stopped a beat. “Uhh..” 

Both of the boys just gazed at each other seeing the other person in a unmasked light. Seeing little scars and imperfections they never recognized before. Like, that tiny little scar under Yoongi’s left eye or that cute little mole on Taehyung’s nose. 

In a perspective of an outside viewer, one could clearly think that would be a awkward atmosphere. Nevertheless, the boys didn’t let it be one. 

Both quickly, came back to their senses and acted like nothing happened. 

Taehyung started to shoot yoongi in the way he wanted to, including the posture and the messy outfit. They were both so silent, the only thing that filled the freezing air was the sound of the clicking camera. 

“Hmm..” Soon Taehyung was finished and checked the photos. Right next to him there was Yoongi who was sitting on a big rock exhausted from the modeling job het got himself into. “I don’t know. I’m not happy with it, If I gotta be honest.” His frowning made Yoongi worry a little. Of course he always acted like he didn’t care about the hobby of his friend but deep down he knew how much it meant to him. He wanted to be a part of his passion. If he doesn’t like the pictures… maybe the problem wasn’t the scenery behind him, the lightning or even the angle. Maybe it was him. 

“Ahhh! I know what the problem was haha.” Taehyung’s pouty face quickly disappeared and his boxy smile filled his face. Yoongi needed to smile a little. Even though he was really tired. 

“Don’t do anything.”

Yoongi was slightly confused. “What do you mean with that?” He replied with a dry smile. “I mean like is there a certain-” Taehyung put his palm towards yoongis face to stop him from talking. “Just talk with me. Don’t act. Just walk as you would walk, smile as you would normally and naturally.” The little one just raised his head and tried to follow along. As Taehyung commanded, he tried to ignore that there was a camera following him, he talked with his friend and both quickly loosened up. There was definitely even a point where Yoongi completely forgot the camera. 

“I think that should do.” Taehyung said after a while, putting his camera back into his bag. “Are you sure that you’re happy with the results? You didn’t really check how they came out.” Tae just shook his head and made a gesture with his hand showing that he is sure that is not the case. “Trust me. Remember?”

“Home sweet home!” Yoongi said in his dark voice sounding more than relieved to be finally back. He quickly disappeared into his room and soon there were no more sounds coming out of it. 

After Taehyung booted up the computer, he was opening the door of Yoongi’s room to check if he’s already asleep. 

And yes, yes he was. 

He didn’t even bother to take of his jacket nor his shoes. Taehyung sighed. Nothing new in this household, that’s for sure. He took of his boots and carefully put his fingers on the leather jacket of his friend. Yoongi was a good sleeper, he never woke up while Tae was trying to put a second pillow under his head or just to make sure he doesn’t have it too warm or too cold. 

Before he could leave the room he could hear a muffled voice coming out of yoongis room. Taehyung stopped right at the door. 

“Taehyung-ah..” 

Yoongi was definitely asleep, but it never occured that he talked in his sleep, or better said, it never happened in a way that Tae could recognize. 

He was repeating Tae’s name over and over again. Taehyung could feel his hands getting sweaty. “Hyung?” He just softly replied. 

“Hyung loves you.. hyungie is proud of our taehyungie..” He said softly and hardly perceivable and continued to snore into his pillow. “I love you too hyung..” Tae replied, going back to his bed and going through his hyung’s hair slighly. “So much.”

After the visit to Yoongi’s room, Taehyung was curious to find out how the pictures came out. He quickly put the SD card into his laptop and checked the previous pics. 

His calm breathing suddenly stopped. 

The comparison of the pictures that he saw between the“model yoongi” and the “real yoongi” he realised how much of a difference it made, if Yoongi was himself or just someone tae wanted him to be. A shiver went down his spine. The pictures were so ethereal, the way he looked at him and smiled softly or the pictures where he would have a slight pout or even the pictures where he would argue with him or tease him,  turned out just perfect. He realised how much he was in love with him. And now he knows that his older friend feels the same. 

Maybe not in the way Taehyung did. But enough to make him understand, that as long as he stayed as his muse, right by his side. There was nothing he could ask for more.

i’m the (??) lmao that’s me always but ahdhghdfkshg thank you so much!!!!! i’m so glad you love them, it means the world to me ;-; and listen, that was me, i had no idea how i was going to do it because i’d only seen ts3 stories up to that point and i thought there was like a set Way to tell stories but i had no idea what i was doing so i was like y’know what...i’m just gonna do it how i feel comfortable doing it and i’m gonna figure it out as i go along. so honestly try to roughly plan out what your stor(ies) will entail and if you get stuck on planning and can’t figure it out, just jump right into it, try to make a few scenes or get the ball rolling somehow, even if it’s just random posts (i mean that’s all my blog was until i decided to commit to santi’s story.) it’s always gonna feel weird and awkward at first, but you’ll get comfortable the more you do it and it’ll figure itself out, trust me!

I read through most of your story posts the other day and now I’m rereading it again just to torture myself some more (and maybe catch up on some posts I may have missed). I honestly don’t think I’ve come across a sims story that’s so beautifully written & includes such evocative pictures as yours. YEAH I DID! omg. i have a LOT of issues with this season (mostly in how badly they tried to retcon nancy and everyone else not caring about barb’s death, how bad the writing was in the realm of nancy and steve breaking up and then her and jonathan getting together...holy fuck it was so uncomfortable with that 40 yr old conspiracy theorist guy i couldn’t even enjoy my ship getting together lmao) also ur right, max and billy honestly did not offer anything to the story...like i loved max too but what was the point...billy acted like their presence and the reason they had to move was so dramatic when it was really nothing...unless they’re saving that for season 3 but like. the whole situation with billy was so anticlimactic. he was like a walmart version of henry from IT. like boohoo ur dad’s an asshole and then he beat up steve. good character arc. i liked max standing up for herself but really...that whole thing was so lackluster, i didn’t care about it at all. As a single mother myself I'd really enjoy seeing you take on the issue. Personally, my biggest problem was overcoming the generalizations people put on you when you're a single mom. People always assumed that I that I was stupid and uneducated because I had my son when I was 17.

yes! that will definitely come up. i will focus a lot on her struggles as a single mom. so far i’ve mostly just peppered in some stuff about money troubles, and that will come up again, and the issues you mention will be pretty central to her character as well. i’m sorry you have to endure that, it’s not fair. people don’t even realize how strong and dedicated single mothers are.

you gotta turn bb.moveobjects on and then press alt + 9 when an object is selected to move it upward. so what i did with those poses i made was, i selected a teleporter and pressed alt + 9 until it was at a spot i liked on the roof. that’s why releasing those poses would be tricky, ‘cause every build is different so there’s no set way to place them, you just kinda have to play around with them

do you have any tips for taking good screenshots in game? like how to get the good angles and good quality? i play on ultra but i think when i zoom in and then use the arrows on my keyboard to move around, the pictures gets less clear and looks kinda blurry. how should i do this?

well if you’re already using ultra, there’s not much you can do lmao. sims 4 is just bad with textures in general. it also depends on the objects as well, some are better quality than others. if i zoom in far on a sim’s face, i generally know there will be some pixelation and i can clean that up in photoshop with topaz clean and the smudge tool. i am very reliant on photoshop sometimes lmao. it sounds like you already have the basics of taking good screenshots, it’s just sometimes you have to fight and work with sims 4′s less-than-hd quality.

i searched things like “bonfire” and pasted parts of it that i wanted on the pic to make it look more realistic, then put a layer mask on the pasted pic and erased the edges and stuff to make it blend in better. the sparks and stuff i added by pasting it onto a new layer and changing the blending mode to screen! 

idk if you have every watched grey anatomy but Lou's backstory is starting to remind me of Jo (Jo is a character from the show) like Jo was in a abusive relationship and she is married to the guy but she cant get divorced or he will come and find her. hmmmmm well i know the control panel opens when you press shift + f2, and then you check the boxes of the effects you want on them. i haven’t heard of this problem so i dunno what other advice to give i’m sorry :{ if it’s your first time installing it, you might have to wait a little to get it to load up.

for any skin detail or makeup, you have to go into s4s and open the package up, go to one of the tabs (honestly i don’t remember which one because i don’t have it open rn lmao) and you’ll see the different age groups and you check the box for toddler. and then save it of course. (there’s probably a better guide on how to do this somewhere lmao)

i just set mine to ts4′s screenshots folder because it’s what i was used to and it works for me haha. hmmmmmm did you copy the exact address or whatever it’s called of your folder’s location and then paste it into the reshade box? try doing that with another location and see if it works. if anything you can do what i did ‘cause it worked for me

Mi amor, you gotta stay

Look who finally freaking wrote something!! UNI IS OVER AND HOTA IS A FREE ELF. So I finally managed to finished my birthday present for @godhelpthesickies! I’m so sorry it’s SO LATE but it’s finally done!

Summary: It’s been storming for days, and Keith’s running late for date night. But he wants to get back to Lance, and ignores the warning not to drive over the hillside pass. Turns out the warning was there for a reason, and that reason was landslides. 

This is literally all injuries and angst. Seriously. SO MANY INJURIES. Have fun ~

‘How long do you reckon you’ll be?’ Lance’s voice filtered through the speaker pressed sluggishly to Keith’s ear. He sighed, adjusting his hold so that the phone rested between his face and his shoulder.

‘Not long,’ he said, trying his best to be placating. He was running late for the third time that week, even though he had promised Lance a movie night to celebrate Lance’s new job. ‘I’m just leaving the office now, so maybe forty minutes?’

A small moan reached his ear, making him frown. He hated disappointing Lance, but he had been so busy at work. Several new authors had sent in manuscripts for editing, and as the senior editor, Keith’s work days had become hellishly long. There was no avoiding it, he knew, but it still made him feel terrible.

‘But you promised ~ !’

‘I know, and I’m sorry, okay? I’m doing my best Lance, but you know how it is. What if I pick up Tai food on my way home? I’ll stop by your favourite place and get whatever you want,’ he offered, stuffing his planner into his satchel bag. He grinned as he heard a tempted whine from Lance. ‘Even that noodle thing you love that stinks out the whole house,’

‘Really? You’d let me get that?’

Keith nodded arbitrarily, grabbing his umbrella from his desk as he spun towards the door. ‘Yep, I’ll let you get that. By way of an apology for being such a terrible boyfriend,’

‘Sweet ~! Maybe you should be late a little more often if it means you’ll let me get whatever I want,’ Keith could hear the smirk in Lance’s voice, and he groaned in response.

‘Well, I’m glad to know that some stupid noodle dish means more to you than my company,’ he jabbed, laughing at Lance’s small ‘yup’ as he waved goodbye to his coworkers.

‘But seriously, babe, don’t rush home, okay? The roads are gonna be hell in this weather, and I’d rather have you home in one piece than watch a movie. I don’t wanna be scraping your stupid ass up off the asphalt ‘cause you couldn’t just drive like a normal person,’

Keith sighed dramatically, pushing the door to his office building open with his foot. ‘For the last time, Lance, I’m not a reckless driver, okay? Have I ever been in a crash before?’ He waited a moment for Lance to reply, and when he got none, he smirked. ‘Exactly. I might have been in a few near misses, but I’ve never actually crashed my car. Ergo, I’ll be fine. Stop worrying. But.. if it makes you feel better, I’ll be safe. I’ll take the long way round so I don’t have to go over the hill pass tonight, okay?’

Lance breathed in relief, making Keith’s heart swell. Even after three years of being together, it still stunned him that someone aside from Shiro cared so much for his wellbeing. ‘Thank you, I’ve been worrying all day about the idea of you driving over that thing. The whole hillside’s gonna be sludge after all this rain,’

Keith couldn’t deny that Lance had a point - it had been storming for days, and it was only getting worse. Even on his way into work that morning, Keith had been able to tell that the banks of the hill were at their limit. Any more rain, and there was bound to be a landslide. Not that Keith thought it would happen right when he was driving over it, but if it kept Lance calmer, then so be it.

‘Yeah, it’s getting pretty ridiculous now,’ he heaved, glancing under the edge of his umbrella up at the teaming sky. He shook his head softly, vaguely wondering if all the rain would wash them all away. ‘I gotta go now, okay? I’m at my car. I’ll call you when I get to the Tai place in like, thirty, alright?’

‘’Kay babe - be safe, I love you,’

‘Love you too,’ he smiled, sliding into his car and beaming with childlike glee. It was amazing to him that Lance could still draw that kind of feeling from him. Shaking his head, he turned the key in the ignition and pulled out of the parking lot.

‘Damn it,’ he hissed, hand smacking hard against the steering wheel. There was a road block for three miles, cutting off his way home. Groaning hard, he stared through the windshield at the road sign with darkly glaring eyes, reading the words for the third time. The only other way around would take him over an hour, and there was no way he wanted to make Lance wait that long. Unless..

No. He shook his head. He had promised Lance. There was no way he was going to go back on yet another promise and go over the hill pass in that weather. It was unreasonably risky, and he was sure that Lance would somehow just know. But then again..

Huffing, Keith rolled his car into reverse and slipped onto the side street that would take him to the hill pass. He was being stupid and reckless, and he knew for sure that Lance would have his head for it, but at least it would get him home sooner than midnight. And there was no way that anything would really happen while he was crossing it. Life didn’t happen like it did in movies, after all.

Life didn’t happen like it did in the movies. If anything, it was worse.

‘Gu-ahhhh!’

The world was blindingly dark. For a moment, Keith didn’t know where he was, and a beat of terror encompassed him, whiting out his mind as he fought for control.

He didn’t know what had happened, or why he couldn’t see, but he did know that he was cold. Crushingly, terribly cold.

And he couldn’t move.

He pulled at where his legs should have been, straining against the weight holding him down, but with a sickening thump of horror, he realised that there was nothing to move. He couldn’t feel his legs. He couldn’t feel them.

Whining low in his throat, he fought against the onslaught of pounding in his chest, breath heaving in his lungs as he tried again and again to just feel something, anything to indicate that they were still there, still attached and capable of moving. But nothing. No sensation flooded up to his brain, no movement coordinating in response to the orders he sent out. Panic overtook him, and for a moment he blacked out, hyperventilation turning into suffocation, terror into white noise drowning him in his own head.

He didn’t know where he was. He didn’t know what had happened and where was Lance? Where was Lance if he was there, and what if he was hurt -

Memories rushed through his brain like sand, the tiny insurmountable grains scratching on his consciousness as they let themselves in.

Tires screeching as one gave out, propelling him into the mud bank at the side of the road. Keith, braving the rain as he shot from the car to check it. A moment of frustrated anger at the unnecessary delay. White hot terror at the rumbling from above, prefacing the horrifying flood of mud and rain and hillside detritus as it cascaded down onto his car, trapping him between them like an ant beneath a boot. The sensation of falling, and the damning crunch of bones on the metal of his car.

The landslide. He had been caught in the landslide and crushed. He pulled in a breath, painful and rattling, and forced his eyes to look up at the hill above: it stretched as far as the eye could see, snapped and mottled railings visible where his car had broken through on its way down into the depths of the valley below. He didn’t even want to consider how far he had fallen.

Keith shifted his weight, trying in vain to alleviate some of the pressure building up around his chest, but as a sharp, jolting pain shot through his left side, he fell back against the car, whimpering. Rippling aftershocks rattled through him, running down from his shoulder to his ribs, and he gasped against it, mouth opening and closing on reflex as he sought relief. His head spun, eyes fluttering against the dizziness worming into his brain. It made it difficult to think, and he found himself almost giving up and just accepting his fate. It was easier that way, more comfortable. He didn’t have the strength to fight against the tons of rubble and sod weighing him down, keeping him pinned to his car. Didn’t have it in him to try anymore, even as he felt the slow dripping of something hot and thick working its way down his side to pool beneath him.

It was better that way; giving up. It hurt less, and he could sleep, let in the cool oblivion that seemed so inviting against the sharp agony of consciousness. He didn’t have much to let go of, either. There wasn’t anything waiting for him, calling him back home. Except..

A smiling face, backlit by the sun, dancing freckles playing across smooth, tanned skin.

There was one thing waiting for him. Lance. Lance was sitting alone, wrapped in blankets with two cats on his feet, waiting for the moment Keith would run through the door dripping with rain and crowing at the sight of home. He was waiting there, all alone. Waiting for Keith. And Keith couldn’t keep that from him, even with the burning pain shattering like a thousand dying stars in his chest, and the blinding pressure building white hot in his head. He had to get home, He just.. didn’t know how.

Taking a moment to gather his strength, Keith ordered his arm to move, ignoring the way it crunched and groaned at the elbow in favour of letting a ripping scream tear from his throat, forcing the broken limb up through the layer of dirt. Something sharp sliced into the side of his wrist, and he realised it was the broken glass from the car window, but he pushed the pain down, dragging his arm up through the shards until his numb, tingling fingers found the sodden fabric of his coat. He grasped hold of it, his hand shaking with the strain, and for a moment he thought he would never get his fingers to let go again, before they slipped, loosing all strength as his arm plummeted back down into the depths of the broken window below. He let out a howl, throwing his head back in despair hard enough to paint stars across the insides of his eyelids. He groaned, miserable and cold, before sucking in another agonising breath and beginning the process again.

It took two more failed attempts, and a cut so deep to the back of his wrist that he was half amazed his hand didn’t just fall away before he finally got his fingers into the hem of his pocket. But the exertion had taken its toll on his already waning body; where before his mind was slow and unresponsive, it now felt heavy, as though he were wading through treacle with each pounding thought. The pain flitting from his left shoulder down into his gut was unbearable at best, and the slow dripping he had felt rolling down his side was now a constant stream. But as that was the only source of warmth he had open to him, he couldn’t quite convince himself to care about it all that much.

What he really was concerned about, however, was the ever increasing pressure weighing down on his chest, making it ever more difficult to draw in a breath. There was pain there as well, bruising and constant, with intermittent, but growing shots like barbs. He had found his phone, yes, but at what cost?

Keith’s head fell back, rolling loosely against the car as he panted shallowly for breath, eyes spinning like dice in his head. He tried to blink the haziness away, squeezing his lids tight then letting them go, but each time he released the strain it took them a little longer to open again. And a new, very much unwelcome realisation was beginning to form.

He wasn’t ever going to make it home. The pain was too great, the pressure too strong. It had taken every ounce of strength and more just to reach his arm up and pull his phone from the pocket of his coat. But if he wasn’t ever going to see his home again, there was still one last thing he wanted to do, and that was hear the voice of the man he had loved more than he loved the blinding brightness of the sun. He wanted to hear Lance.

It was three misdials before he had the number punched in correctly, and he let the phone drop onto the sod above his chest, all strength gone from his fingers to hold it. And too long later - much too long, with the way his chest burned and his head swum with darkening fireflies of pain - the call clicked into connection, the frantic, fearful, beautiful voice of his only love radiating out into the night.

‘Keith?! Keith where are you, what happened?! You were meant to be home an hour ago, oh my god, tell me you’re okay!’

He coughed, wet and sodden, and did his best to ignore the sharp taste of copper coating his tongue. ‘L-Lance…’

A cry as pained and agonising as anything Keith had let loose sounded from the other end of the line. If he listened carefully, Keith thought he might have caught the sound of Lance’s knees hitting the floor as his body gave way beneath him.

‘L…Lance.. I-I’m so.. so sorry…’

‘No…No, no, no, no, no! Keith!’ Lance was wailing now, voice pitching so impossibly high that it hurt Keith’s heart as much as it did his head. ‘Oh my god, no… you have to be messing with me, tell me you’re messing with me! Keith! Tell me!’

Another cough, more painful this time, even than the last. ‘I.. I wish I could…nghh! - I-I’m so s-sorry, Lance.. I-I b-broke my promise.. again… I wanted.. I wanted to get home to you… faster..’

‘Where are you? Tell me where you are!’

Keith couldn’t help but grin at that, despite the blood rolling in waves from his lips. Lance new exactly where he was, and yet he wanted him to say it. Wanted to hear it from Keith’s own mouth as though that would make a difference to the shithole he had found himself in. ‘…H-hillside.. pass… the-the hillside pass, there was.. was a landslide. I..’ he broke off, breath hitching in gasps as yet another wave of pain drove over him, burrowing down into his bones and all the way out of his lungs in a scream so loud it tore him.

He was vaguely aware of Lance calling to him, desperately trying to pull him back, but he had nothing left to give, no more strength to hold on to, and the darkness edging in at the corners of his eyes just felt so.. warm. But there was one last thing to say, and he would be damned if he died before he’d said it.

‘Lance.. I-I… I love you.. ‘ore than… any-…’

It slipped over him, the darkness. It slipped over his eyes like a shadow in the night, catching him completely unawares and without an ounce of readiness in sight. Well, he thought, at least he got most of it said.

Movement. Blinding and bright. Lights and shadows like faces dancing in his sight. A face, clearer than the others, tanned and beautiful and smiling like the sun. Gazing down on him, opening up his world beyond baring darkness, willing him up, up, up.

Lance. The face he never thought he’d see again, the hand he never thought he’d feel, carding down his skin. Lighting him up, weightless.

‘…- gotta stay - … cariño - … gott- promise me… - need you…’

Words, floating in and out, their meaning just around the corner from his consciousness, begging to be let in. He blinked, darkness looming. He was pulled under, with one last word ghosting through the fog.

‘Amor..’

Keith shifted, drawing a groan from his lips weighted with what felt like the whole world on his tongue. Biting back the accompanying whimper of pain, he pulled his eyes open against the dimmed lights of a hospital room at night. For a moment, his world was blank, drawn closed and dumb with the haze of forgotten days, before with a ghost of panic rising like the tide up his spine, he jolted sharp against the bed.

The landslide. He had been crushed. He couldn’t feel his legs. Darting a pained eye along his body, he whined in relief at the sight of two long, thick casings leading down from his hips. But the feeling remained numb, and he couldn’t fight the loose tears at the edges of his eyes as they slid free from their casings and dripped unabashed to his chin. And so consumed was he by the relief weighing heavy on his chest, that he barely noticed the opening of the door, the quiet gasp of surprise, the footsteps rushing. Not until he felt the same tanned hand he knew so well carding through his hair did he notice any of it.

‘Keith.. oh my god, Keith…’

He turned his head, weakly, eyeballs rolling with the strain as they took in Lance’s illuminated face. He was crying, sobbing tears and mucus tracks rolling down his cheeks and over lips. But no words would formulate in Keith’s brain to answer, and so he merely blinked, slow and thick, and praying that it would convey everything he wanted to say to Lance.

‘Fuck.. you actually woke up..’

Keith whined, closing his eyes against the fingers stroking his face, his eyes, wiping away the tears he himself could not hide.

‘It’s okay, baby, everything’s gonna be okay now. Holy fuck, I can’t believe it, I thought -…’ Lance’s voice grew tight, clipped and painful. ‘I thought I’d never see you open your eyes again…’

‘H-how… long…’

A sniff, Lance wiping his sleeve shallowly across his nose. ‘How long were you out for? Do you remember what happened?’ Keith nodded, pained. ‘God, Keith.. I really hoped you wouldn’t. You - you were in a coma for just over a week, babe.. the doctors - they thought you weren’t going to make it. They told us.. well, they said we should be preparing for the worst, you know?’ Another sniff, and a longer drag of his sleeve, followed by Lance’s weight pressing into the side of the bed. He was crawling up to lie with him, arms bruising with the weight of their hug. ‘Fuck, Keith you were.. God you were a wreck. Concussion, fractured skull.. you bruised your spine - it’s not broken, don’t worry, but they said you probably won’t be able to walk for a while, so you’re gonna need therapy to get back on your feet. You broke both your legs, and your left elbow. A lot of ribs, and - I think they called it a pulmonary contusion or something? Something about bruising your lungs. You ruptured your spleen and.. and when they found you, um.. there was.. a branch. It was in you, Keith. In your side. Seriously, I’ll never know how you survived all that,’

‘’m promised you..’

‘What was that?’

Keith cleared his throat, willing the words to worm from his brain and down to his mouth. ‘I.. promised you.. I’d make it home..’ He offered a smile, small and tentative, and ever so weak, but a smile all the same, and Lance accepted it with all the grace of the world’s most precious gift.

‘Yeah, you did!’ he gave a watery laugh, face burrowing into the uninjured crook of Keith’s neck. Keith turned his face into it, letting himself hope at last that he would never have to leave that man again. ‘But jeez, out of all the ways to break your no-crash streak, you really had to go and pick that one?’

‘…Didn’t crash it..’

‘Keith. You literally nearly died. Do not argue with me on this one,’

‘…Didn’t though.. I crashed into it… s’different..’

Another laugh, bright like a full spring day, followed by Lance’s fingers ghosting down his face. ‘Whatever, asshole. I’m just glad to have you home..’

And Keith was home. Because wherever Lance was, was where he would be too, for as long as life allowed.

Okay, so I just finished Voltron Season 2 and: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Short, spoiler-free version: I have a few things to take issue with, but as a whole I absolutely LOVED this season. *screeching* !!!

Long, spoilery version under the cut

Starting with my three big complaints before this devolves into excited screaming:

1. They’re still going with the Hunk food jokes. Like. Please. The mall cop episode (which was fantastic, by the way) did Chef Hunk right--he’s competent, he knows what he’s doing, he’s cooking in a way that obviously a large number of people like, AND he actually taught Sal how to cook?? Like oh my god, Hunk is the best space Gordon Ramsey, yes! A lot of the other episodes, though, are more of the same old tired fat jokes. Hunk’s always hungry. He’s always talking about food. He’s always making shallow food metaphors. We get it. I’m really hoping the writers cut it out in season 3, or at the very least continue to shift the focus toward other aspects of his personality.

2. I’m more than a little salty that we didn’t see half the team’s reactions to Keith being Galra. Like... I didn’t need a “reveal scene” (we got that with Shiro, and I loved that it was a shock that immediately turned into a non-issue.) What I wanted was the kind of thing we got with Hunk--the aftermath, and the other paladins figuring out how they feel. Hunk’s stuff was great, tbh, and Allura’s was pretty good (a little disappointing that she was so harsh with Keith, but I get it. She’s lost a lot to the Galra and all very recently.) I just wanted...something. Something with Pidge and Lance, at least. Some interaction that wasn’t in the middle of a battle anytime after the reveal. Maybe that was supposed to be because they were all so rushed trying to put their plan into action, they didn’t have time to process. Maybe we’ll get Lance, Pidge, and Coran’s responses in season 3 (god I hope we do). I just wanted more emotional fallout from the reveal (or support. Support would be good too. Somebody give my son a hug.)

3. Everything else can basically be summed up with, “Why isn’t season three here yet??” I wanted more of a lot of things, and I get that you can only fit so much into thirteen episodes, especially when the plot was so BIG. Holy shit you guys, so much happened in this season. So, yeah, I really wanted more Lance development (more Hunk, too). Klance? Shallura or Shatt development?? Keith and Pidge??????? The team was split up for so much of the season, and fighting battles the rest of the time, that a lot of relationships got shafted. I’m not overly bitter about that, but I am hoping we get that relationship development in season three.

Okay. There’s my salt, now time for the screaming: (Sorry, intermittent caps lock because I couldn’t control myself.)

AAAAHHHHHH OH MY GOD GALRA KEITH!!!! I have never been so alive! Fuck. I’m so happy (lack of fallout with Lance and Pidge aside. Dark Voltron season 3, give me an episode specifically dedicated to Pidge’s reaction to Keith being from the same race that took her family.) I’m choosing to imagine that Pidge has bottled up any reaction she may have had, and that it won’t come out till things have calmed down (or she’s stuck alone with Keith) and that Lance considers it such a non-issue that he had no reaction, and for him to be surprised when Keith is wary around him after that last battle.

ALSO????? I’m so happy that Keith’s mom is apparently the Galra??? I jsut?? YES??????

MATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my GOD Matt! Matt’s out! Matt’s with rebels! REBEL MATT HOLT HOLY FUCK! I need season three like yesterday, and it had better have Matt Holt, Rebel soldier/spy/hacker/medic/literally anything. I’m so freaking happy Pidge actually got a chance to search for her family--and FOUND SOMETHING! Ahhhh!!!

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO SHIRO????? I’m so scared for him, oh my god?? But, like, in the best possible way. He’s not dead (I hope????? Don’t kill Space Dad, Dreamworks, PLEEEEEASE!) But we can still have Black Paladin Allura in season 3?? And maybe even Matt Holt, Rebel (TM) saving his boyfriend???

EDIT: I cannot believe I forgot: Pidge is SO NOT CIS!! Like! Frick! The bathrooms! Which were conveniently color-coded in a way that’s consistent with Earth bathrooms. In a way that Keith didn’t even stop to think about. But Pidge??? Is at the very least much more aware than Keith that the gender binary is a social construct--and you could very easily make the argument that she was debating whether aliens have the same biases as humans. Should she risk using the girl’s bathroom? Does she pass by alien standards? What even ARE alien standards for gender conformity? All this to the point that she’d rather just hold it.
