well, you don't argue with simon often

so when a conflict DOES ignite between the both of you, there'll be no funny businesses

the whole damn argument, simon stares at you blankly. no thoughts behind those eyes, until you're done speaking.

"love." yes, it's that nickname again.

he feverishly needed to talk it out between the both of you, not wanting to ruin the relationship he'd spent his whole life wishing upon.

but the words always get stuck in his throat.

so, instead of speaking, he'll let a few minutes of silence pass, giving the both of you to gather your composure back.

buuut his reaction/reply to the argument would be different. it depends on who is in the wrong. if it is you who's in the wrong, he'll most likely isolate himself for a while, most likely for a few hours/maximum a DAY. he'll lowkey die without you around him.

he doesn't hold grudges, so a few apologies and kisses from you is enough. but his trust? a bit bruised (as long as you didn't say anything too far!) but nothing that you can't fix.

he'll let you pamper him all day.

under one condition—he won't let you buy anything for him as an apology. that's his job. your apology and presence is enough.

but if it is him who's in the wrong? oh, the silent guilt will gnaw at the bars of his enclosure.

for example: whenever you lecture or tell him to take care of his health, he'll most likely brush it off as if it was nothing.

and that pisses you off, because you care deeply about him.

you'll probably start telling him off, rambling about how he needed to listen to you more.

until he rolled his damn eyes at you.

that's your breaking point. your annoyance reached its peak point.

"can you— can you listen to me for once, riley?"

that caught his attention.

he immediately tensed up at the sudden change in your tone, shifting in his seat so that he's fully facing you.

but when he met your gaze, he was far too late. your tears already threatened to spill.

panics in the inside AND outside. his eyes widen in surprise and hands twitch in desperation. he wanted to reach out to you but he didn't know if it would make it worse or better.

so, he stayed—with the feeling of regret punching him in the guts.

he watched you sniffle, turning your head away from him as the silence took over the conversation— well, argument. one sided argument.

until you shifted closer to him. he took that as an offer.

immediately goes up to you and wraps his arm around you. he's quiet for a while, mumbling apologies and promises (that you need to remind him of)

once your sobs and sniffles come to an end, it's his turn to speak

"love, i know you've heard this a million bloody times, but 'm sorry."

"should've listened to ya, yeah?"

"it's okay sweet'eart, let it out."

"fuck, if i could i'd stop those tears of yours from flowing, i would."

and in a few hours, you'll get your favorite takeout, snacks and flowers. he'll pamper you with kisses all day.

(he won't promise to stop being stubborn though. that's one unique part of him that you loved, anyway.)

imagine seokmin having to pick you up from a hangout with your friends. he expected for you and your friends to drink, but he surely didn't expect you to be tipsy and at the cusp of being wasted, nearly stumbling to where he stood outside as you parted ways from everyone.

as he got you in the car and began to drive home, he notices how unusually silent you were throughout the short ride, but he doesn't say anything about it--not yet at least--simply taking it as you being exhausted and ready to go to bed.

he helped slipped you out of your shoes and took of your coat as he led you inside your (and his) place.

"let me get you a glass of water," he reassures you sweetly, leading you to sit down on the couch.

yet just as he's about to go to the kitchen, a tug at his sleeve stops him, and he turns back to you. you open your mouth as if about to speak, but only a choked sound leaves your lips. you're crying.

a sudden rush of adrenaline flows through seokmin as he grabs your hand into his. "hey, sweetheart, wh-what's wrong? why are you crying?"

"i-i'm scared."

seokmin furrows up a brow, confused. "scared?"

"that you'll..." you swallow a lump in your throat, trying to fight your blurry thoughts. "that you'll break up with me."

seokmin's eyes only widen, expression shifting from confusion to concern as he processes your words. he sits down beside you on the couch, still holding your hand gently, and looks into your eyes with a reassuring gaze.

"hey, hey," he whispers softly. "where is this coming from? you know i care about you more than anything, right?"

you sniffle, trying to compose yourself. "i-i don't know. it's just... tonight, when i was with my friends, i saw you watching us, and i thought, maybe you'd get tired of me. and when we were driving home, i thought you were disappointed. and all my friends were, um, talking about their break-ups with their partners and it got me thinking things--"

"i would never get tired of you, sunshine," seokmin affirms, gently wiping away the tears that continue to streak down your cheeks. "i love you, and watching over you tonight had nothing to do with being tired of you. i just want to make sure you're safe and okay."

seokmin wraps an arm around you, bringing you close to his side. he presses a kiss to the top of your head, and one to your cheek. when he pulls away, he notices the very faint, subtle smile beginning to curl at your lips.

"i'm not going anywhere, okay?" he says, rubbing his hand up and down your arm, trying to coax your uncertain thoughts away.

you manage a nod, closing your eyes momentarily to relish his warmth surrounding you.

"okay," you whisper, voice still shaky but the reassurance in seokmin's words starting to sink in. "i love you too. i-i'm sorry for doubting. i don't know what got into me."

"it's okay, love." his lips meet your temple, lingering for a few moments longer, before pulling back to meet your eyes with a loving smile. the room seems to brighten. "now let me take care of you tonight."

Fanfiction is so goated actually

No monetary incentive, just writing in one's free time. Some incentive for like kudos and comments, because who doesn't want to hear that someone else enjoyed what they wrote. Just writing a story that is good and/or enjoyable, no real-life pressure to keep it going because god forbid you and other people are depending on it financially.

Writing a story because you want to write a good story, so you can write what they want the way you want, at a pace that is realistic for you, with exactly the plot pacing you want there to be.

I'll be totally honest here... I did notice the shape was different from the start. I was being lazy and thought, "oh its just the angle.... the edit I did over the original could've compressed the pixels to make it look round.... yeah no need to dig any further" <- Thats the devil talking.

Halloween prompts year 2 day 6

Link stared at the boy he had just saved. He was...considerably younger than he had been minutes ago before the strange monster had attacked them and he feared that if he saw his reflection it would show something similar had happened to him.

Unfortunately, Links shield had broken in the impact of the attack and while he had protected himself from the blunt of it, he was still smaller than the black haired child he had jumped into the fray to save.

Link was not familiar with the language of this place, only knowing the boys name, and the name of the city they had been transported to: Gotham. He hoped the princess and her sages wouldn't panic too much when they discovered he was missing but he could feel through thier vows that the sages have already noticed something was wrong. Nonetheless, he had a child to protect and nothing was going to stop him from doing so, even being adopted by what Link believed was the king of this realm, Bruce Wayne

On the other hand, link had lost his childhood the moment he had drawn that sword, everything being stolen from him to prepare him to fight the calamity. He would not say no to having a belated childhood with nearly a dozen older siblings to protect him...did...did he even want to be found? Being found would mean he would have to return to Hyrule. To his old life.

He decided he did not want that.

Danny had similar thoughts. His parents never actually cared much, his best friends had abandoned him the moment Gregor came into the picture, and his sister never paid much attention to him either. He didn't have much of a life and the whole reason he had met elf boy and accidentally kidnapped him was because he was in the zone trying to vent his pent up aggression through beating the hell out of whoever and getting sucked through a portal a ghost had created to get rid of him.

Meeting Link was one the best things that had ever happened to him though he felt kinda wierd about the blond elf boy protecting him, especially since the little guy often killed his opponents, regardless of whether they where human or not, a fact that seemed to have the local furries fighters in a tizzy. I mean...they can't exactly beat up a small child but they can't let him keep doing what he's doing either but they can't put Link into the system cause him being a blond elf boy would make him a prime target for trafficking so adoption it was. Danny also had to be adopted too due to how attached Link was to him
