I got Sasha and her kits <3 I had sooo so much fun!!

Below are some wip pictures + my thoughts behind the piece!!!

Many Sashas.. and originally the leaves were supposed to be golden, but it didn't fit well.

Some thoughts:

What i love about Sasha is just how tied to water her life is-yes i enjoyed her Manga a lot, my poor little miserable women <3

First off all, she leaves her happy life as a ships-cat to raise her children. Tadpole drowns early in their lives, putting a Shadow over their happiness. They leave for RIVERclan- where Hawkfrost will die in the Lake while Mothwing lives out a life she is not the happiest with. Its why she is looking at a Star-she may be the last one alive and at first, a life as a medicine cat seemed to be everything she wanted, until she found out about Hawkfrosts Manipulation.

Tadpole holds a star because he is the strongest kit, yet dies first.

The three are symbolised by a feather, the evolution of the frog and death's-head hawkmoth- symbols of death, obviously.

Willows grow around bodies of water and are often symbols of grief.

Meanwhile Sasha can only look down and with the passage of time (-> moon phases changing) see and know that in the end, her trying to save her children doomed them, and do nothing about it but cry.

Kinda depressing stuff for a little kitty in a book :,D

Sasha, friends and genetics

I will post this only here and Tumblr, because i'm not want to use an anti-ia filter on a sketch page for now.

This is a thought experiment, as i was remembering Sasha description on the Wiki, and i thought: She could be a tortoiseshell, as the books uses a wrong description of a colourpoint, with only having brown ears and tail, with a tan body.

So i decided to make a "biblically" accurate Sasha in genetics(this is just for fun, don't take this seriously), with other cats too that appear on Tigerstar and Sasha and a Shadow in Riverclan with some genetics that are for fun.

Warning: Huge genetic info dump bellow:

Sasha would be a tortie with white, she is cream(as cream is a diluted red, she couldn't be stripeless, as red causes a falsee tabby thing) and has brown ears that can be stripeless, she also has white that can let her have blue eyes(i'm not entirely sure on this one, correct me if i'm wrong).

Tigerstar 1 is a black tabby genetically, with low wide band, so he is slightly darker than normal(i should made him a darker brown however, missed oportunity), he doesn't have any white, it's just the effect of the tabby pattern in his face.

Russetfur is a black tabby but with low wide band and high rufousing, so she is not necessary red, but looks like red. As her father is a black tabby so it's impossible to her to be only red without being tortoiseshell, this is a option for her to still be red, if maybe her mother is a low wide band and high rufousing cat.

The next is Feathertail's tail, she is just a silver cat with high wide band, so she is mostly the same.

Leopardstar is not genetically accurate but i made her to look like a jaguar, a native animal in my country, she looks kinda cool, not gonna lie.

Anyway, Hawkfrost is black tabby, but he is a ticked tabby, which is less accurated to his canon version, but i found more fun like this. He has white spotting, which lets him have blue eyes.

Mothwing is a high wide band ad high rufousing black tabby, which makes her golden looking, she is also a broken braided tabby, to look dappled.

And finally Tadpole, the most non canon looking of the bunch, he is a midnight charcoal tabby, making him look like he has a mask on.

compiling some terpsichore thoughts from discord below the cut 🐏🐏🐏

this is disorganized but i am excited for u all to meet her :-)

terpsichore is shadowheart’s selûnite counterpart… memory wiped & sent out on a holy pilgrimage to moonrise towers where she was supposed to assassinate a powerful agent of shar. told she’d know her target when she saw them. wink!

compared to auntie: terpsichore is like. less selfless but more cunning which unfortunately does matter more when it comes to saving ppl so she may be responsible for less tragedy. i also feel like she’s sort of more of a fan companion than an authoritative protagonist so will work better with the rest of the party. instead of just making them complicit in atrocities & indulging their hubris by way of apology

i see terpsichore as explicitly NOT a cleric not just for party comp bc i want to play w shaddy but bc she was trained as a church spy for selûne not a priest or holy warrior. she’s more like a DA orlesian bard. entertainer, eavesdropper, assassin, vagabond. was brought up by a selûnite enclave and learned to sing and frolic in the moonlight but also pass thru secured areas like a moonbeam and kill and bat her big sweet goat eyes to get away with things.

i’m still workshopping her backstory which is ok bc she doesn’t remember most of it… but i think she witnessed some corruption in her enclave that caused her to break faith with selûne before getting roped back in. & her real target has always been balthazar.

selûne won’t confront shar directly or use force to break the shadow curse & free aylin but she’ll periodically inspire a lone pilgrim to try and fetch her daughter back. lest anyone accuse her of aasimar abandonment 💁‍♀️ the sacrifices pilgrims tend not to be the faithful she’s well pleased with.

if we’re villifying shar i wanna take selûne down with her. two sides of the same coin two aspects of the same power & equally painful to love

i KNOW she & shadowheart jump each other (homicidal) before they ever jump each other (homosexual). only stopped from killing each other by the tadpole connection which shows them each a flash of their own suppressed memory in the other’s mind. gets em off balance & curious enough to take their knives off each other’s throats at least until they get to moonrise where they’ll have their fated showdown & decide whose goddess wins. wink wink

terpsichore (rhymes with hickory for anyone else who had to double check 😉) doesn’t get divinely assigned an emo little warriorcats code name for her mission but shadowheart gives her 1. its mooncalf 🙄 no chance of that ever becoming a term of endearment right. right

she & karlach bond by butting horns. terpsichore is like oww k that was way too hard and karlach is like u dont want to be matchies with me??? u dont want to have 1 horn to matchies with ur bestest bestie friend?? no matchies with mama k?? sad mommy. and terpsichore is like ok fine. hit me again

im sure breaking a horn hurts as much for satyrs n tiefs as it does for horned animals so she wouldnt try to break it fr. just 4 sillies.

but if one of terpsichore’s horns WERE to get damaged. in sayyy act 2 when she finally finds her mark. well karlach WOULD be excited to be matchies. & would also know from experience how to treat the wound 🥺

I'm still alive

Sooo yeah I did this mini-comic of Hawkfrost bcs I was so inspired by the song Alive by Pearl Jam and I think the lyrics fits him well.

I think is pretty self-explanatory but I wanted to make a more "deep" Hawkfrost. Sasha tells him about his father when he is more mature and that revelation makes a strong impact on him and Hawkfrost has a kind of identity crisis, he feels he doesn't belong to anywhere until he meets Tigerstar. His dad fills his mind with promises and praises and finally Hawkfrost feels he belongs to something. Obviously this guide him to the same fate that his father met, he dies and goes to the dark forest.

Au where tadpole survived and managed to steer hawkFrost away from the dark forest so hawk wouldn’t train in the df and his whole thing with his sister and ivypool would never happen

Tadpole! I like imagining what he would have been like had he survived, and would hawkfrost been more pure hearted with a better role model. Good fuel for AUs!

Here’s a little AU I’ve been thinking about, where Tigerstar successfully takes over Thunderclan but Fireheart, Greystripe, Yellowfang and Goldenflower escape before this. In retaliation to what Tigerstar thinks of as Goldenflowers betrayal, he becomes mates with a loner who he brings into thunderclan. Sasha gets more and more disillusioned with her mate and her new way of life, but feels trapped.

The pictures here are her and Darkstripe not getting along well at all, Tadpolekit, Hawk-kit and Mothkit being tiny babies and Tigerstar standing with his mate.

Sorry this took so long. I’ve been taking part in a Pixelmon SMP and was recently promoted to an admin there, as well as starting to date the server owner (which has nothing to do with the promotion, I just enjoy helping others and making sure others are safe and satisfied).

Has...anyone thought about an AU where Tadpoles spirit finds Hawkfrost in the Dark Forest and helps sway him from evil? Cuz if not uh.......👀

Could also apply to Mothwing. Hawkfrost is delighted to say hes seen their brother and Mothwing is even more convinced starclan is a farce, because WHY hasn't Tadpole visited her?

Maybe he comes to her later on?

Idk I just think if Hawkfrost could have seen his brother again MAYBE he would have snapped out of it...
