i’m so crazy about you in the best ways. i know you feel as though im wasting my energy on you, but baby it couldn’t be the opposite. i truly believe you’re the one meant for me. i believe a few years from now, we’re gonna be walking down the aisle together arm in arm. i believe one day in the morning, i’m gonna wake up at a quarter to noon, and see you staring at me with those mesmerizing eyes that i fell so deeply in love with. i’m gonna see that slight smile on your face, as your eyes scan up and down my face. you’ll kiss my forehead ever so slightly, the way you do now whenever you’re admiring me in all my impurities. we’ll cook breakfast together, i make the pancakes and you make the bacon, as we play all the songs we love. i’ll be sitting in the passengers seat, singing along to my haitian music; you don’t know creole but you learned all the lyrics to this song. you sometimes sing along. most of the time though, you drive leaned back and relaxed. one hand on the steering wheel and the other resting on your cheek. every once in a while, you look over at me and smile. i pretend i don’t see but i do and i can’t help but blush. my future is you and our three kids, who look more like their dad & i was always a little jealous that they picked up on your beauty as opposed to mine. because that’s what you are, beauty in the purest sense. i believe my future is you. so that’s why i refuse to fucking let you sit here and walk away from me. i refuse to let you say you’re a waste of effort, because my dear... you’re all i’ve ever dreamed and more. you bring sunshine into my dark world, you’re my slice of heaven on earth. i have fallen in love with the way you always smell like warm vanilla, the way you grab my chin while our lips interlock and turn it ever so slightly so you can kiss me more passionately. i am in love with you goddamn it; i know you’re the one. it’s you. it’s always been you.
