Timeline Clarification

We're seeing some confusion about what the different timelines mean. We hope this will make clear the differences between the timelines! 2012 Canon Compliant is a stevetony centric take on 2012 Avengers and what happened after.

2012 AU will include anything that’s set in the Avenger original timeline, but includes elements like Soulmates, Omegaverse, Identity Porn, etc. Endgame Timeline is when the events of Avengers 2012 happen with the events of Endgame. So, Steve meets his doppleganger and learns about Bucky, HYDRA is very confused about his loyalty, fallout over Tony’s heart attack, etc.

Creator Applications - One Week!

Creator Applications open in ONE WEEK, so here's a little info to help you prepare--The app has three parts: Contact info, Content and Portfolio. CONTENT-- This is where you'll tell us what you want to create for. Please select as many or as few as apply. Flexibility on which timeline (Canon, AU, or Endgame) will increase your likelihood of being selected. PORTFOLIO--For writers, an AO3 link is great. For artists, if you don't have a portfolio, a link to a drive folder or your art tag on tumblr would be an excellent way to handle this. Artists & Authors will also be asked to share 3-5 of the work you feel BEST represents your style. If you have any questions, please send us an ask on tumblr or a DM, we're happy to help!

Hi! I’m a little confused about the endgame timeline is it possible for further clarification? I’m really excited for the zine so far ❤️

Sure!

So Endgame Timeline is--Avengers 2012 happens, but with the time travel shenanigans that occurred in Endgame. So, for example--

The heart attack 2012!Tony has because of Scott? How does that affect what happens next. Does Pepper break up with him? Does that make the angst and PTSD worse?

2012!Steve runs into his Endgame counterpart and learns about Bucky--what does that change?

HYDRA is in a state of hopeful confusion because of Endgame Steve's little Hail Hydra moment--do they try to recruit him? How the hell does Steve react when they do?

Basically--anything that's changed and affected by the events of Endgame Avengers meddling with 2012's timeline is fair game in this timeline.

You’ve said for the portfolio AO3 would be ideal for fic writers - what would be good for artists? AO3 too, or tumblr, Instagram, something else?

(I don’t have all of my work everywhere, so I’d love to prepare ☺️)

Great question! So artists, if you don't have a portfolio, having an artist tag on tumblr or twitter would be super helpful, and that should be included on the app. Our resident artist mod also suggests a google drive folder for your portfolio, if you want to make it easier and contained in one place. Hopefully that helps!!
