Some days, you just wake up with a profound sense that everything is wrong with the world and there are no good things that can't be tarnished or ruined by the bad, and then you have to somehow get through this day, and maybe another, and wait until it gets better, fueled by the vague knowledge that you felt this way before and every time, it eventually passed.

As in, "quarter of seven" = it's not seven yet, it's only a quarter of the way to seven = it's 6:15.

*nods* Winters aren't so bad. Summers are terrible, especially now that they're getting hotter. My will to live just abandons me by July, and then I slowly get to restore it brick by brick in September.

It's not that I'm getting super sad or suicidal, it's just that the word turns gray and pointless every summer. Everything takes too much energy to bother. My spoons supply gets halved, and all the spoons are teaspoons. Lying down and staring at the ceiling is the only thing that is worth the effort it costs, and yes, even that costs effort.

Summers are dreary and tiresome and I'm so glad this year's summer's already over.

This man, it has already been two hours since he started talking about gargoyles. On any other day, you wouldn't have minded his rambling. But today you were particularly exhausted from babysitting the ADeuce duo, so you could only bear so much.

“ they were originally created as a means of disposing of water, but with time..—” there he goes again, this cute little dragon fae ranting about some random fact about gargoyles. Your head was starting to hurt, you just wanted to cuddle him and let this awful day pass. Despite the growing headache, you didn't have the heart to cut him off.

However, a bulb light up in your head.

You grabbed the fae from his necktie earning a surprise noise from him. You brought him down to your level and kissed his lips. It was a light peck, but you lingered a little bit too long. “ can we go inside now? I want to cuddle? ” Malleus was frozen in place, his lips could still feel yours. He didn't know what to do so he simply nodded, letting you guide him toward the house, your hand in his. Humans were rather bold.

ACE TRAPPOLA !

It was during lunch, your boyfriend's neck was decorated with his housewarden's magic. Ace was complaining—yet again— about how ridiculous the rules are. (something about not eating leftovers that had a green sticker on top of the containers, he swears he didn't know it was someone's else.) His lips were pouting, arms crossed over his chest he looked so cute. Until he opened his mouth to complain this time about Deuce. You sighed, this man always finds something to complain about.

And there he goes again, talking his head off about sevens knows what. This man would not for the sake of it be quiet. You wished to eat in peace, maybe talk with your boyfriend. But he kept going on and on, it was starting to get on your nerve. You love the guy, but he talks too much. Finally, as if the sevens heard your pleas, Ace quieted down. A sigh of relief left you. At last, you could eat—

“ and then Deuce just—” And there we go again. A bulb light up, it'll be funny to see him match with the collar on his neck. Moving closer to Ace, the boy not noticing your approaching figure still going on about how much of an idiot the blueberry boy is (his words.) your hands cupped his cheeks, ceasing his chatter. You lightly pecked the soft lips, pulling away after a short time. The boy was stuck speechless, his mouth closing and opening like a fish, face as red as the Heartslabyul's warden. A chuckle slipped past you, how cute.

RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS !

In your defense, Ace payed you. He knew how soft the warden goes on you whenever a rule is broken by you. Which is why, the first year though it was better for you to paint the flowers in his place. Riddle was unaware it was Ace's turn—for the first time— so, imagine his surprise when he saw how wrongly you painted the roses. It wasn't such a deal, but it bothered him how dangerously close you were to falling from the ladder. Riddle walked up to you, keen on lecturing you all about safety. Until you wondered if his face can match his hair.

“ How many time have I told you to be careful? You know this ladder is not in the best shape, I wouldn't want you to match it's state. ” The housewarden was scolding you for being careless. While your eyes were focused on his, your mind was wandering somewhere else. Thinking back on Ace's words, you were curious just how far was Riddle lenient on you. A smirk formed in your face.

The Housewarden wasn't aware of the Adeuce level of mischief stirring up in your mind. Closing the distance between you, relishing in the small stutters in his words, you placed your lips on his owns.

It was quiet. Maybe he did let you go with anything—

“ OFF WITH YOUR HEA—”. nevermind.

VIL SCHOENHEIT !

Vil was lecturing some first year about the proper use of skin care. The poor first years were so frightened by his harsh scold and cold voice that when they saw you they pleaded you with their eyes to help them escape from this hell. You took pity on them, Vil, even after his overbolt, still couldn't get rid of some of his habits. Mainly his harsh scolds, but he made progress. The first years looks frightened yet still listen to him. Before, some even cried while others were crushed by his words. So you saw this as a progress of some kind.

Walking up to them, you taped the beauty on his shoulder, making him cease his talk and turn to look at you. He quirked an eyebrow at you, his hands unconsciously finding yours. He was waiting for you to speak, you always taped him when you wanted to talk.

Your heart swell at his small yet meaningful gesture. Despite his busy schedule, he always found time for you. Even when he was scolding his juniors, you clearly saw how his eyes soften at the sight of you. (you made a mental note to pamper him later today in his room).

You signalled him to lean down, which he did despite the obvious confusion. Hands finding their place on his cheeks, cradling Vil's face. You laid your lips on top of his, eyes widening at you actions. The first years took this as a sign and quickly left.

After the initial shock, Vil grumpily returned your kiss. His clean hands pinching your cheeks. “ Honestly, just what am I going to do with you... ”. Even though he was complaining, you didn't miss the pinkish colour at the tip of his ears.

Inktober Day 22: Disciple

Spoilers for the awakening dlc below plus more ramblings below 💕💕💕 (once again below the cut because they are long lol)

Does anyone else think often of that one darkspawn “the disciple” often? The one who was sent to our wardens with a warning from the architect, and then we can decide to kill or let him help/let him go. In the epilogue, we see (if we let him go after it all) that he’s become this hooded vigilante, helping random people when they’re in danger 🥹

I think that’s probably a major reason I’m so interested in the Architect’s storyline! Darkspawn can be such genuinely good people if they’re given the chance to *be people.* It would be so cool to explore what sort of society the darkspawn under the Architect’s leadership. They’ve been hated by all the living peoples of Thedas for centuries, and that would have to have an effect on them even after they gain their sentience.

Just imagine a game where our wardens are working towards a cure, and we have the option to work closely with the darkspawn to make it happen!! Would our wardens’ status as HoF help the darkspawn become accepted? Would we have to hide our support or else be cast out along with them? Would helping them defend themselves force us to fight our allies? Are we willing to do that? So many options!!!!

Buuut before that, they'll mostly Ace try and convince you to stay willingly by saying almost anything from guilt-tripping you too antagonizing your friends and family.

Decue will try to convince you too stay by getting you things, both sentimental and otherwise

he might even go back into stealing if the time comes.

Overall, rly these two aren't all that bad, but kidnapping is still on the table if they ever need to take dire measures....

I just look at my WIPs folder and want to gather all the made-up people huddled there into a gigantic hug. Come here, my weird broken fictional children. Oct 13 - Introduce your Hawke

He's not the Hawke from my main worldstate, but he is my favorite Hawke.

I'm just going to paste the random facts from a recent ramble I made about him lol

He’s one of my Hawkes, but his name is actually Hwang Seung-gi. Thank you Bioware for giving the da2 protagonist a surname with one syllable. Made it easier for me to aim my Koreanizing beam at it.

I still like the idea that if people do call him “Hawke,” it’s because they’re mispronouncing his name. Also they don’t get that it’s his family name but it goes before his given name.

His father was big on teaching him and his sister to conceal their magic. So instead of using traditional staves, they would use enchanted everyday items which could be easily concealed.

Seung-gi uses a hand fan (non-folding). After he got into blood magic, he modified it so there’s a blade along the edge of the fan. The blood seeps through the paper to the rune he has tied to the knot tied to the handle, further enhancing it and making it about as powerful as an average staff.

Speaking of blood magic, Seung-gi started when he was living in Lothering. He uses the excuse that his family’s crops were failing, but that was only part of it. Really he was curious about the power and he was certain he could handle any drawbacks.

Unfortunately he couldn’t, but Seung-gi’s father realized what was happening before the demon could possess him. He offered himself up to the demon instead, and had Seung-gi strike him down in his place.

No one else in the family knows how his father died. Seung-gi is carrying that to his grave, and it informed a lot of his drive to protect his family (aside from general eldest child syndrome)

Anyway, he’s goth, he’s Korean, he’s in love with Gascard DuPuis, and he sounds like Nick Cave. That’s all I got for you.

day 29 :0 almost a full month that's so crazy... still the dream^2 au

Oh, he'd say so much if only he could. They'll be confused? He's fucking confused! What the hell was this place? Why'd this guy have his name?? Why couldn't he speak like normal!? So many questions and no way to ask them, much less get an answer. Well, it wouldn't help to stay in this random forest and he had no idea how things worked here. All he could do was nod and play along with this over-enthusiastic version of himself. (At least, that was his current working theory.)

"Awesome! Follow me, then," the human Dream said before turning away. Pulling his cloak tighter around his body, unable to remember a time it looked this clean and whole, he did just as told.

Strangely, as they walked and human Dream rambled about nonsense (When did he stop doing that? Talking at length about the things he enjoyed. Probably around the time people stopped listening to him.), he noticed how they didn't use any specific path. This Dream was just moving, not even paying attention to what's in front of him as he gestured and spoke. (How could he be so relaxed? So carefree?)

None of this made any damn sense.

But, since the man had saved his life--and just his luck, owing a debt the minute he entered a new, foreign server--he must be at least somewhat capable. He had a fit physique, seemingly built more for speed and endurance than pure brute strength. He recalled having the same build, all that time ago when his server was young, when he was young.

He liked to think he still was. His exact birthday escaped him, as did how much time passed while stuck in that box, so he couldn't be sure how old he really was.

Soon enough, a building came into view as the forest transitioned to a vast plains biome. A simple house of oak, spruce, and cobblestone, glass windows, and standing two stories tall with a balcony on one side. Some farm animals grazed around the outside of the fence that protected the perimeter.

It looked quaint, cozy. It looked like a home.

Dream's heart ached.

"I know it doesn't look like much, but this is the safest place on the server by far. I mean, of course it is, I live here," Human Dream said as he unlocked the fence gate. "You stay here while I get the guys together. I can't wait to see their faces!" He had a mischievous grin and giggled before entering the house, leaving the door wide open behind him.

(Had he been that reckless back then? That energetic and unaware?) It'd be so easy for Dream to walk in and-

Something bumped against his side, distracting him from his thoughts. He looked down to see a brown calf peering up at him with big hazel eyes, an innocent tilt to its head and ears flicking. It mooed quietly, like a question.

Cautiously, to avoid spooking the little thing, Dream slipped his hand out of the cloak to pet its head. The calf mooed again, this time louder as it jerked into his touch.

Memories began to resurface the longer he pet short brown fur, those simpler times when wild animals were seen aplenty on the SMP. Living alongside him and his friends. But as more buildings and people joined, so too did the animals retreat to far out lands, avoiding civilization.

"I mean it, you guys, no peeking! This is a surprise! You're gonna love it!"

"This better not be another Mooshroom or pink sheep, Dream. We've seen those before!"

"It's not! I swear this one's really special!"

The voices startled both of them, and caused the calf to retreat to the side of its mother. Several people followed human Dream out of the house, all of them with their eyes closed and all of them people Dream recognized.

He should've figured it really, that the friends human Dream talked about would also be his friends--well, ex-friends. Maybe a small part of him did realize, and the rest of him just hoped that wouldn't be the case.

Especially when he saw him. The Warden.

Random thought. So apparently Speakers are a thing like Watchers and Listeners (I've seen like three posts) but I saw some Speaker Scar art and people sometimes make vex's the enemies of watchers so I was like what if the Vex are Speakers, right? I mean, they're often portrayed making contracts and deals so it works. And then I was like, well, Wardens find people by hearing them so that suits Listeners, what would Watchers be?

Endermen! The creatures that are everywhere but don't want to be observed? It works too well.

Anyway, ramble over. Maybe I'll do something with it, probably won't. Who knows? I sure don't.
