Jinx/Powder

God has decided that I am his best warrior and he gives me the worst battles. So many people shipping Ekko and auPowder, as if they were separate people, is making me really believe it. The fics of Ekko staying in the au and stealing the life of the innocent auEkko and his entire family being perfectly fine with it. Or Powder leaving her universe to replace Jinx and Vi being perfectly fine with it. As if Jinx's fear of being replaced had never been a fundamental part of her character. It's hard to read fics now because I feel bad on behalf of my girl Jinx, I'm slowly falling into madness. Jinx and Powder are the same person, but so many people saying the opposite are making me believe it. I demand an AuEkko and Jinx fic to feel vindicated.

Chapter 2x7 was to give Ekko hope, he was always in love with Jinx, the things he admired about her, even when they were enemies. It was Ekko realizing that neither he nor she were the people they were once, Powder never died, she grew up, a product of her environment (Silco, Zaun)

I've seen a lot of posts about Solas' perspective on Rook at this near-pest that's incorrigible and unbearable but who Solas can no longer imagine himself without and I need that energy inverted from Rook to Solas, too.

Rook who is feral about Solas since the reveal, who feels emotions so turbulent at first it sends them into rage upon the very name of the elf being spoken. Rook who hates what Solas did but who ultimately cannot shake off understanding him too; Rook who would never admit that the decadent whispering in the back of their mind has become a comfort. Rook who would laugh it off if their companions offered help with the blood/mind link because they guard their connection to Solas like a growling dog. Rook that would follow him into the Fade because severing that connection feels like death.

Rook who is so intertwined with Solas they would never let another take the stand for them: it is personal. Rook that stands in the way of any other companion or foe that tries to attack Solas, if ever — because he's not theirs to take. I don't want a Rook that's a halla chased by the wolf, I need a Rook that is the hound tracking the wolf down.

im glad that instead of trying to change himself to be the person sonic wants him to be, nine fires back here and demands the recognition and respect he deserves as an individual separate from the one sonic knows. he’s done it repeatedly through both seasons and im ridiculously proud of this little 8-year-old for having the gumption and resilience to stand up to someone he clearly wants acceptance from bc that’s an extremely hard thing to do at any age. but nine is such a strong kid and he knows it’s his right to be treated as the person he is and not the person sonic wants him to be.

and i do like that we see a look of realization and regret on sonic’s face here— it says a lot. namely that sonic hasn’t meant to undermine nine’s identity. sometimes you just hurt ppl without meaning to and sonic has clearly done that by being so dismissive of the fact nine is a person wholly disconnected from the tails he knows. he even goes so far in this moment as to try and make nine feel bad for not being more like his tails.

that’s a cruel and manipulative thing to do and i think we’re seeing sonic begin to understand that he really hurt this poor kid without realizing it.
