one thing i don't think i ever actually said is that much like canon su fusions, warden fusion au critters can like. stack. like the two guardians of a region (the noble-warden fusions) can fuse together to make one super-guardian, etc. and they follow the same naming pattern as the base fusions, so the regional guardians are obsidian, crimson, cobalt, coronet, and alabaster probably.

but while with the base fusions it's basically up to the noble-warden duo how often they bring it out, the higher-chain fusions are really only for emergencies where they need a Lot of firepower. in part bc naturally as you get more people and pokemon involved it gets harder to keep them all in harmony. there's also probably been a weird cultural thing in the past about diamond/pearl interclan fusion as well. there's also the potential for a fusion that involves all of them, of course, which would just be called straight-up Hisui. but this has probably never been necessary bc it would be so fuckoff powerful that it'd be both difficult to control and also complete overkill

So. I made a submas fusion au! I’m calling it Warden Giant AU. Very cleaver I know =w=

The story so far is: Arceus tried to find someone to fix Giratina’s shit. He thought Ingo and Emmet would do well, especially as a pair. Yoinks them to Hisui. Oopsie tho, he fucked up in the transfer and now two people are one people. And he can’t even fix it yet because his interference with Hisui nearly nonexistent due to the aforementioned giratina shit.

So now the fusion is in Hisui. He doesn’t know who he is. He doesn’t know where he is. And apparently, he doesn’t know how to function as a person.

Standing is… difficult. Walking? Forget about it. Talking? He.. tries to talk. But he stumbles and slurs and muddies his words. Like he’s trying to say two different things at the same time. In fact, he feels very fractured. Like he’s torn between two separate trains of thought that occasionally run parallel. He feels too small for his body. It’s long and gangly and the world itself feels smaller.

Regardless of the warring feelings, he manages to stumble his way to find a member of the Pearl Clan. They take him in, take care of him, and start calling him “The Giant” due to his considerable size as a 10ft something beast and the fact that he can never actually manage to say his name. It always comes out as a slurred, jumbled mess.

The rest of the time at Hisui is majorly the same, becoming the warden to Lady Sneasler, helping the protagonist, etc.

I took so long to answer this ask, I have no excuse. Better late than never?

The reason Vogue says he doesn't feel like a whole person has a lot to do with how they came to be (they weren't a stable fusion at first) and Ingo's amnesia.

In the fusion, Ingo softens Volo's hard edges and Volo gives Ingo a stronger drive. They're still a mess most of the time, and their negatives build up as well (not just the positives) but they make it work. There's a reason why their fusion has worked for that long, after all.

Ingo and Volo are two very different people, but with time and change, they can strive to be better and something more... healthy.

Cynthia is aware her uncle Vogue is a fusion even if she doesn't understand what that means at first. Then again, she has never seen them as any other than Vogue, so she doesn't dwell on who are part of her weird uncle. They're just like that.

The version of Vogue that Cynthia knows has already gone through a lot, almost always stable.

Submas x Steven Universe idea - Ingo and Emmet were originally one gem before some shit happened, causing them to split into two gems. What happened to them? Was is the diamonds or someone else?

This is based on Ingo usually being the talker of the two due to Emmets monotone voice and his 'say it as it is' attitude, and Emmet being seen as the twin thats more approachable due to Ingos lack of facial expressions. Two halves of a whole situation basically.

Anyways here's a design update for Burst AU. Finally figured out what to do with Ingo's wings and coat! Top drawing is a concept sketch for general appearance, bottom sketch is basic reference for the wings/coat (I cropped the coat so the wings were more visible but it will likely still be full length).

Verrry happy with the final result, gotta say my favourite part is that the wings look like Ingo's long coat when folded. Also the coat itself is mostly just draped; the seams are open so it just slots over top of the wings (also partially held in place by straps). All that's left is to figure out the hat ^^

Emmet and Ingo are pokemon fish! ingo is a Basculin and dies on Hisui island after an adventure goes wrong, then evolves into Basculegion. Emmet thinks his brother is dead but is desperate to find his body. the people of hisui are not fish, they're just humans. Hisui isn't in the past, and is just an island inaccessible to fish! Ingo and Akari are the only mers that are on the island. I reallly gotta continue it some time

i WAS gonna try and think up a name for them like i did Ozone but i rly like iisu and i think they would too, so its staying :] together theyre the fircest captain in hisui; being both physically and skillfully strong in a mutltitude of ways. they also have the mega autisms because you cant just put two of the strongest battlers in the whole region together and NOT expect them to info dump stratergies on you...

also they mostly just have a permanent smirk on their face; looking like they're up to mischief when rly shes just happy to be here !
