This month 38 years ago, the Chicago Bears team recorded a video, "The Super Bowl Shuffle." Though the Bears did go on to win that year's SB XX, the video was recorded almost two months before the game -- before they even knew they'd be in it, much less who'd they be playing.

Not all Bears players participated in the making of the video, though many big name players like RB Walter Payton, QB Jim McMahon, WR Willie Gault, LB Mike Singletary and DT William "Refrigerator' Perry did. The song was actually nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. In the end, almost $300,000 in proceeds from the sale of the record and video were donated to local Chicago families in need.

I found a quasi-similarity between Walter Blythe and Teddy Kent vs Jem Blythe and Perry Miller:

(In my opinion, if there was a WWI in Emily's books, both Perry and Teddy would go. But I also think that 26-year old Perry is so different from 12-year old Perry, so he'd be a little less excited than very young Jem).
