stop everything. what if those trucks were full of water. what if everyone was going to be iced. remember how when the second batch of english/spanish speakers came in they all had been arrested for some reason? but we never figured out why?

and we know walter bob was a worker who was sent to prison because they don’t know how else to house people they can’t find a place for. and they sent the residents to the prison just because the island was getting dangerous for them.

what if inmate crucifixion was going to be them getting iced like tubbo rivers niki mouse pol- all of that batch? until they could find another place to put them? and the others are previous residents that had their island get corrupted/ruined and had to be imprisoned and iced?

Finally put this years' ribbon crops up with last year's, technically our last shows are this weekend but mentally I think we're both done for the season and doubt she'll place. Still can't believe she grabbed a CC at a specialty show with 85 entries tho

#need a better way for this #the reds dont mean much (i just collect one from each club lol) so thinking maybe double row and putting them behind #ribbon displays are ugly as sin by default but 🤷 i spent too many years dreaming of having a dog to show to not #have them on the living room wall #we have one more judge we could go for but #shes got nothing left to compete for #not even unofficial breed club things. got the Excellent plaque last year and theres a Ch Quality plaque we could hunt for but she #only got one so far this year and needs 4 #so its not really worth going #next year is looking pretty dry. i want to do the two breed specials within reach. we should be trying to get the grand CC but #the one single NKK show in western norway was cancelled for '25 and the others are 7+hrs away #and shes not really an allround judge type of dog 🤷

26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended?

Oh hmm. That's a hard one to answer.

I don't have any pictures of it to show unfortunately, but there was a piece I did in college -- it was a series of 6 watercolor paintings, all halving in size until the last, smallest piece. It went like:

1. Close up of mushrooms. [Smallest image]

2. Textured tree bark painted in blue/pink

3. Another detail of the mushrooms from a new angle

4. A side by side of two fir tree branches, one with male cones, and one with female cones. The mushrooms are growing across the branch.

5. A side by side of the two trees from the ground, showing the mushrooms have spread down the trunks of the trees

6. The felled trees, blooming with mushrooms, their rings in rainbow color. [Largest image]

I made the paintings when a recent study had revealed a new mushroom discovered to have thousands of unique sexes in the species. Some queer spaces were pointing to the new discovery as another example of how binary sex and gender were a lot squishier than previously thought, given a lot of "there's only two sexes and genders" arguments are supplemented with examples from nature.

When I showed the pieces to the class, I got a lot of critiques about how the colors I picked were too bright, wondering why I'd tinted the pinecones pink/blue, asking what the mushrooms were for. I think I had one person get partly there by saying the trees seemed to represent a married couple and the breakdown of a relationship. When I explained my concept, I got a lot of blank looks and polite "oh that's so complex" style responses. The professor thought I was doing too much with the concept, and I shouldn't expect an audience to glean the hyper specific response.

I think it was a pretty interesting eye-opener into how isolated my personal topic echo chambers had become.

#yoooo a fellow websleuther had a really promising unidentified remains ID suggestion and asked me to submit it for them #i just emailed the police department now so will probably hear back on mon or tues #i think its a really promising ID i hope it pans out!! and 2 cold cases can be closed #its not technically ~my~ suggestion but im still running on the high of my 2022 id match lmao #that gave me a huge serotonin boost + a plaque thats too heavy to display + 6 wine glasses i took #one day i will live in my own place and i will put big nails in the wall and put my plaque up....
