Also someone else asked about how deadlifting doesn't kill my back, and the answer is that weightlifting with proper form is good for back pain >:]
Strengthening your stabilizer muscles is so good for your bones and posture! It doesn't mean accidents don't happen, as we will all decay in time, but it definitely helps me draw all day and night without crumbling into dust 馃憣

Walked to Staples to get some felt tip pens (the ones I've been using for doodles are dying!) and a folder to keep stuff from cardiac rehab in
I figured, the markers are like $12-18 depending what pack I get and a folder should only be a couple of bucks, I can swing that
They didn't have the markers I wanted (apparently only American Staples has them now?! Boooo) but I had to get SOMETHING so I grabbed a couple packs from another brand that I guess I'll try out and see how it goes.
Then I found a nice folder for like $4. Then - oh! Command hooks, yeah, I been meaning to get some to organize the wires by the TV... and oh, those Kleenex packs are just the right size to fit in my tiny purse I better grab those!
And suddenly i've spent $50 at Staples
I was doing SO good not buying anything frivolous this month ack

Upper abs are starting to show again!
And my waist is looking more defined 馃挮
I鈥檓 honestly so pleased with my progress! I鈥檓 working very hard every day on my fitness and nutrition, and I鈥檓 happy to see results.
Sometimes it really feels like nothing is happening, like nothing is changing. I just don鈥檛 see it.
But my body is clearly changing! My old clothes are starting to fit again. My new clothes are fitting better. I can hold yoga poses for longer and do more complex poses and flows again. I have more stamina and endurance.
The number on the scale is going down slowly but everything else is changing. And as I don鈥檛 walk around with a post-it note that shows my weight on my forehead, I鈥檓 totally ok with that!
I鈥檒l definitely keep working to be the best version of myself.

I've been living the past three years in Colorado and Utah. Well above sea level. I'm in the UK rn. Basically at sea level.

Monday 25th Sep
Beautiful sunny walk with Maggie this morning! She was so happy today. She played with another collie she likes and we saw a rainbow and she had a lovely run around the fields and it made me so so happy 馃グ馃グ

Went for my massage... first one I've had and I'd love to make it a semi regular thing, even once a month. The lady was so lovely but I felt awful that I found it really hard to relax my muscles while she was just about beating the shit out of me 馃槀 it did feel good though. She gave me some hot stones which was lovely 馃槏 and she managed to crack my back and neck quite a lot and I do think it all feels a bit better. But I need to go back and learn to physically relax so I get more benefits from it. But for my first one it was pretty good.
Had lunch, did some housework and laundry and then got on the bike as I didn't think it would be wise to try to run on a dodgy back and also v intense period pains. So I cycled through them instead. It felt good although my legs are already so tired so god knows how sore they'll be tomorrow 馃槶 @thisgingersnapped50 tagged me to flex! I feel somewhat strong today!

Stretched, chilled out reading my book and made baked sweet potatoes with lentil dahl for dinner. Turned out pretty good but I forgot to take photos of course 馃槄
