I love the idea of Raven!Neil being a absolute menace but would he really?

If he'd been sold of according to plan, he'd have been nine.

His canon behavior is so primed on freedom and autonomy because of half his life on the run.

But back then he barely understood that the violence against him was unfair and unjustified. It would have been from one abuser to another, further reinforcing to the malleable child brain that this is the normal.

Even if he did fight back, I'm mostly positive that the resistance wouldn't have lasted longer than Jean's.

It’s going to be a major symbolic device in season 3. So, I’m wondering now, were they setting that up back in season 1, in this moment? Or was that just a really fantastic coincidence?
