So apparently the first episode was already out as an early viewing!

Now that I see it in motion, it reminds me a lot of Kipo And Glitch Techs which are all great connotations

The artstyle is great, I love how it's all hand-drawn and anime-inspired.

The storytelling and humor is a bit rough around the edges, but early episodes usually take a while to find their footing. I think it definitely has potential to be a good story if it's given a chance to develop their characters.

Will be watching!

I have a lot of thoughts about all of it, but I think than rather that I assign a race, I can first explain what each races are. (Skip to the end if you want to see my thoughts first lol)

Wakfu AU is based of the game and animated serie of the same name, which takes place in the World of Twelves

As the name indicate, there are twelve main races and sub categories, all based on the twelve gods that gave life to that planet

People of a same race will generally share physical traits, but I see it as kinda optional

Iop : Known for being not smart, combat focused, generally tank, they do know a lot about combat tho, most of them are redheads ! [ Julie is a Iop ! ]

Crâ : Elf looking (pointy ears and blond hair), specialise in archery, strategist

Sadida : most often brown skin and green kinda plant-like hair, they are nature people. They can feel and communicate with plants, and to some extent control them. They also have lil puppets they can use for combat. [ The Joyfuls are Sadida ]

Enutrof : most often white hair and old looking due to their long lifespan, they are money oriented. If there is kamas (the currency of WoT), there is an enutrof nearby.

Féca : physic can vary, they are defense based, most known for making shields with their magic. They are often science oriented. [ Frank is a Féca ! ]

Osamodas : animals oriented, some of them are even shapeshifters ! They often have blue skin, horns, a tail and white hair, but it is optional. [ Howdy is an Osamodas ]

Ecaflip : they are cat people ! Ecaflips focus on luck, there are often gamers/gamblers (Can also be dog people, a sub category of ecaflip called Oujinak, which are more combat based). [ Barnaby is an Oujinak ! ]

Eniripsa : often look like faes, with either fairy wings or bat wings (usually an indicator of gender). They are focused on healing, which is their speciality ! They are also known for being a bit romantic.

Sram : they are killing based, often assasins or thieves. No one is sure what their moral code entails.

Xelor : their magic is focused on time, some say they are often obsessed with it. Mechanic based, with bandages all over their body. [ Home and Sally are Xelor ]

Sacrier : they are ironically pain based. The magic of sacrier is to regenerate their wounds quickly. Often have white hair but it is optional, and they have tattoos all over their bodies. They use their blood to fight. [ Eddie is a Sacrier ! ]

Pandawa : quite litterally pandas, their whole deal is drinking. They can have a drunk combat style, very oriental inspired.

Onto the last few races that are not mentionned in this list :

Eliatrope : from an other world, they are able to control the Wakfu, the very essence of every living thing. Their main power is to make portals to go around [ Nyxie and Suave are Eliatropes ]

(There is a subspecie of them called Eliotropes ( with a O instead of a A lol ), which are more or less shadows of the past lives of a singular Eliatrope, Yugo, from the animated serie)

Dragons : there are dragons in this world ! Most often born from an egg called Dofus, which are immense source of power. There are 12 known primordial dofus (as in, needed to make the world work) and 6 fakes that are much less powerful.

The World of Twelves has 6 primordial dofus, and the Eliatropes have 6 has well

Hupermage : can be of any specie from what I could gather, they are an order of mage from a specific academy [ Sally is an Hupermage ]

Okay now that the ramble is done, back on the oc

To assign this lil fellow a race, I have a few ideas

I first thought of making him a sadida, because to the barefoot + green color scheme but that would be a lil on the nose

But it's a possibility, especially since in this AU, Julie was adopted by the Joyfuls who are also sadida, so if you want to play with that idea, it's possible

I also saw that it's a Frank and Eddie fanchild of sort, and in that case, you can have him be either of the parent's race

It's rarely a mix of the two, as the gods don't really fw dual faith and it's a risk of losing your powers

An other race I'd see him have would perhaps be osamoda, like Howdy, which is animal focused, and could also fit with the barefoot concept

Overall, I hope you'll find a fit ! I think your oc is adorable and I can't wait to see what you'll come up with ! Note that every physical aspect I mentionned for the races are optional so you can have your oc looking like anything, the goal is too have fun !

My dms are also open if you want to show me sketches and the process, and I can give more of the lore as we go (unfortunately the Krosmoz concept is extremely lore heavy 😭 i'm fighting for my life making it digestible for my AU)

Comparison between the new (sword) and old iop attack animations. The spells being played here are Jabs - Flurry - Wallop - Gutting Gust - Uppercut - Wallop - Flurry - Jabs, which is the secret combo that triggers an easter egg where the Iop will dance and get an aura (as seen at the end of the 2nd gif)

Curiously enough, the Easter egg does not trigger with the new sword animations.

You can change between the two animations at the iop class altar.

This comic is making me so emotional and by that I mean I would [DATA EXPUNGED] the castle of Bonta with explosive devices.
