Everybody knows that really intimate conversation can only take place between two or three. Even if there are only six or seven present, collective language begins to dominate.

Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT). “Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.”
Matthew 7:13-14 (NASB). “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
“When God Makes Us Wait” By In Touch Ministries:
“God is always working for our good—even when it seems as if nothing is happening.”
“On the road of life, decisions are like intersections; we must choose which way to go. If we barrel through without seeking Jesus Christ, the road we pick may lead to regret and hardship (Matthew 7:13-14). Although the Lord is ready and willing to offer direction, He doesn’t always give it when or how we expect.
At times, this is because He wants to get our attention. When everything is running smoothly, we might be tempted to forget God. But uncertainty draws us back to Him like a magnet. By aligning our steps with His and walking in submission to the Spirit, we open our ears to hear His voice.
Our waiting period is God’s preparation time. He may be coordinating events to line up with His will. Sometimes He has work to accomplish in us before we can handle what He’s planned for our future. Waiting helps strengthen us spiritually—if we instantly received His direction, we would rarely have the opportunity to exercise our faith.
If impatience tempts you to jump ahead of the Lord’s timing, you risk stepping outside of His will and missing His blessings. But by waiting until He gives clear direction, you will walk in His peace with certainty.”

The way forward from heartbreak
The way forward after romantic disappointment is hard to see in the immediate aftermath. After much prayer and seeking God, I compiled statements that helped me define the way forward. They were helpful for me; maybe they will be for someone else. If I can prevent even a little heartbreak, it will be worth it.
I forgive them. I forgive myself. Pray for them and ask God to bless them with healing or whatever they need the most.
I'm sad it ended, but I know I will be okay. Time and healing. You'll get there. It may be hard to see right now, but hang in there and you will look back in wonder at how far you've come.
What happened doesn't define me. I refuse to see myself as rejected. God loves and accepts me, and there is no higher love than His.
It wasn't all bad. There were good things, too. It's okay to remember the good things about the relationship. Recognize those were real moments and the feelings you had were real.
It's healthy to let go when things end. Hanging onto something that ended is painful, and what you're holding onto after it ends is not a person or an experience but rather the pain of loss. Letting go is freeing. Let go as many times as you need. Say it every day 100 times. Don't play the game of “what if I did this or that instead.” It won’t change the outcome.
I am grateful for what we had. That book closed, and it's time write a new adventure. It might be too early to think about the next chapter, so dwell on feelings of gratitude for the good that came of it and recognize something was lost, but feeling stuck is not permanent. You will move from this place to something better.
I'm allowed to grieve the loss, but I won't dwell on it forever. You will think about it from time to time (a lot at first) and then eventually you won't. It will become a scar, and scars are tougher than regular skin. You will be tougher, wiser, smarter.
I will give myself time to heal before moving on. Healing is your main job right now. Put effort into it. Live your life. Do what you need to do, but don't expect to feel like Superman. You're going to feel fragile for a while. God heals, so avail yourself to His healing touch. He wants to love you, especially now, so let Him.
I will take time for myself before attempting something new. Enjoy being in your own skin again before trying again. Let things settle. Right now, you may not feel like yourself with a new person, and that's a difficult way to start something new. When you feel like yourself again, you can explore a new adventure. If you're still looking for that person you lost in everyone you meet, you're not ready. Grieve and heal first.
I will learn from this and take it into a future relationship. Learn the lessons. Grow through the pain of loss. The bravest heart is the heart that's been hurt but decides to love again.
I will be fine on my own until then. Being with friends and family is important, too. You don't have to live life by yourself, but you shouldn't be in a relationship until you're ready. When you're ready, you'll know. The person God has for you isn't going anywhere.
I won't have to chase the right person. And I shouldn't feel pressured to move forward with someone. It's okay to take your time. It's a big decision. Make it prayerfully. Let God lead.
God makes it clear where I stand with someone, and whether they are the one. It's my job to listen. Stay close to Him, especially in the initial attachment stage of the relationship. You don't want your heart to get ahead of Him. A key aspect of the Christian walk is waiting, which is getting close to God (being knit together with Him). It’s a good time to listen. Try not to complain about your situation. Stay close to Him, and He will provide the way forward. Jesus said He is the way, so follow Him.
The right way forward will give you peace.

Ever Onward, With You
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Only if the winged soar, my heart beats wings of iron.
Nihilistic dreams of running,
through fields,
on concrete and upon clouds.
My beauty,
only my dream.
The clock face laughs.
If I could save lightning in a bottle instead of time,
Father Time would perish and I could run on that clock,
in my time and set myself before it by my own force of will.
I would not nor could not die,
yet I will.
In the fullness of time,
I would be one wave battered and wind blown,
set into and through the wall that surrounds my mind and my heart.
When I give of myself to anyone, my last gasp,
a word and my death grip opens to show the world...
nothing.
There's nothing there.
Insanity can pay a price.
The many would never surmise. Or survive.
If lunatics in past lives could breach the heavens and return...
perhaps I would have the consciousness of the storm.
Witness to something so wicked in love,
in rejectionless pity,
in it's flight of stars of yet a different ilk.
And a cross-beam mired in misunderstanding.
We choke on a miasma,
certainly a misunderstanding of worldly,
galactic,
or heavenly importance.
With my last gasp I will choke on the word love.
Too few to last too many to matter.
The idiot,
jester,
fool,
never a wiser word spoken.
Innocuous.
Immaterial though found.
In all.
There could be hope yet.
We may yet find true Death,
if we do our damnedest.
But even he can't kill our master, in his house.
Father Time sits back with God and laughs.
A gaffe.
Just Nightingales in the dark.
Just carry me with you...
ever onward.
They said I wouldn't be able to do it.
They said I needed the right connections and a certain amount of backing, but little did they know that I do not walk by sight alone but by faith as well. And faith leads to confidence.
Today,I am equally saying that GOD WOULDN'T PUT ME IN THIS SEASON OF MY LIFE IF MY SPIRITS WAS NOT VICTORY CONNECTED AND THE BEST TESTIMONIES TAKES TIME TO PERFECT. So wait for me while I wait on God🌹.
I Can’t Wait…
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭25‬ ‭(HCSB‬‬) Have you ever thought about how much of our life is spent waiting. We learned to wait in line in kindergarten. We learned to wait until Christmas to open packages. We’ve learned to wait in traffic tieups. Waiting is hard. Especially when what we are waiting for is important to us. Most of…
Attention consists of suspending our thought, leaving it detached, empty and ready to be penetrated by the object. It means holding in our minds, within reach of this thought, but on a lower level and not in contact with it, the diverse knowledge we have acquired which we are forced to make use of. Our thought should be in relation to all particular and already formulated thoughts, as a man on a mountain who, as he looks forward, sees also below him, without actually looking at them, a great many forests and plains. Above all, our thought should be empty, waiting, not seeking anything, but ready to receive in its naked truth the object which is to penetrate it. All wrong translations, all absurdities in geometry problems, all clumsiness of style and all faulty connection of ideas ... all such things are due to the fact that thought has seized upon some idea too hastily and being thus prematurely blocked, is not open to the truth. The cause is always that we have wanted to be too active; we have wanted to carry out a search.
2 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT). “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.”
“Claiming a Promise of God” By In Touch Ministries:
“While you're waiting for God to move, ask Him to help you grow in faith, obedience, and patience.”
God’s promises are precious (2 Pet. 1:4). Not only do they remind us of His personal interest in our life, but they also provide hope and encouragement during difficult times.
Before claiming a promise, we must check ourselves in three areas: faith, obedience, and patience. First, we must trust Jesus as our personal Savior. Next, we must obey God. As discussed in yesterday’s devotion, our obedience or action is required in order to claim conditional promises. Finally, patience is required. God operates on His timetable to accomplish His purposes according to His perfect plan.
At times it may seem as if a divine promise is not being fulfilled. When that is the case, take another look at the biblical passage to be sure it applies to you. Then verify that you have met the necessary conditions. If you are still convinced the promise applies, look a little deeper at your request. Will God be honored when this promise is fulfilled? Will it help you grow spiritually? These additional questions will assist you in claiming a promise.
The Holy Spirit will build our faith through Scripture, provide the strength necessary to obey, and develop in us the fruit of patience. These qualities are necessary and will help us as we look to God to fulfill His promises.”
