Last night we went and got our favorite tacos in our town and went and ate them in the little side street that they blocked off during the pandemic and kept blocked off for people to gather and eat at picnic tables, feels like a little biergarden in the middle of Park. My tacos were sooo good and then we walked around town a little waiting for 7:30 when our movie was gonna start. Asteroid City was so good! It was a lot of fun :) we took our time walking back to where Id parked my car and it was almost 10 and still sooo warm and nice out and so many people were out on what feels like the first warm day we’ve had in so so long.
Im off for the next four days! And starting ADD medication today (strattera) which Im nervous but hopeful about. This weather is so lovely it just makes me want to cook and play music with all the windows open and eat fruit. Driving to santa cruz to have a backyard bbq with our former housemates/good friends at the sweet little home they rent in the mountains and will get to see their baby and their dog who is obsessed with us :o)
Then tuesday leigh and I are gonna take camp chairs a couple blocks down from our apartment and post up on webster to watch our town’s superr long 4th of july parade. People take it so seriously here lmao because its like 2 hours and so much fun. The sweet and kind of crazy hairdresser we both go to apparently is going to be in the parade lmao and invited us to come by to her party after where she said there’ll be a lot of her mma training friends so maybe we’ll drop into that! Happy and excited for all this time off!

While poor Victor was busy getting stung by bees, Alice and Smiler were busy with Moory and the chickens! Tending to the animals is an important part of running a farm, after all. Alice gave Moory a thorough brushing, told her a joke, and milked her, while Smiler collected both the eggs from the coop (which were mostly just hatchable ones -- methinks it's time to get rid of some of these roosters) and some fire ants that were milling around in the chicken pen. Hey, those might be handy for herbalism one day! They also attempted to continue work on their mechanisms, only to be zapped again. *sigh* Game plz.
Anyway -- Victor eventually made good with his bees, giving them their mite treatment and collecting their honey while they pollinated the nearby plants. And with that, he was pretty much done in the greenhouse (with Elmer attending to the actual weeding and watering and such), so it was off to the grill to fulfill the BBQ tradition and make some chicken chimichurri skewers for himself and Alice for later! I had him take two plates and pack them in the picnic basket along with a plasma fruit for Smiler (while the pets gamboled nearby -- seriously, look at them, they're so cute together :D), and then, once I was sure the others were in good spirits and all done with their chores and whatnot, had the trio head out to the Celebration Center in Gilbert Gardens in new world San Sequoia for a day of picnicking and playing in the splash pads!
THEY ARRIVED IN THE MIDDLE OF A FREAKING THUNDERSTORM. *facepalm* Like, SERIOUSLY game?! Seriously?! *sigh* Unsure what to do at first, I decided to try waiting out the bad weather and sent the trio inside the rec center to see how they could occupy themselves on the new lot type. . .
#sims 4#the lazy save#victor van dort#alice liddell#smiler always#valicer#Alice and Moory are getting on better I'm glad to say#I think they need to just get over that initial 'I can sense your love for raw steaks' bad first impression XD#Alice being very diligent about keeping Moory clean probably helps#and yeah the egg situation right now is not great#very few eggs and most of them are hatchable because I have so many roosters#gotta thin the coop at some point#and yes I was so annoyed to set up my nice San Sequoia picnic for the trio#only to arrive and find it BUCKETING DOWN#ugggh#I swear this game loves thunderstorms#like please give me some nice weather#at least the pets remain absolutely adorable#good job at keeping our moods up Shadow and Kelly#I'm glad I had Victor and Alice adopt you#queued

I needed a distraction from yet another hateful week so here we are!! With this Beach AU reclist that is obviously no longer that! 🤦🏻♀️
Also, there are some 4th of July fics here if you’re feeling picnics and bbqs. And summer camp fics here if that’s more your thing.
A (Sort of) Fairytale by briecheesie, daunt | 25.8K | Mature
The summer after senior year starts normally enough, with the gang spending their final months before college together at the Martin family's lake house. Then Jackson stumbles onto the burial ground of a witch's ex-husband, Stiles is magically turned into a fox, and things somehow manage to get worse from there. The gratuitous Princess Bride references are only of moderate help.
Kissing the Shoreline by theroguesgambit | 12K
Stiles doesn’t want just any summer fling. He wants Derek. And Lydia is determined to help Stiles get him.
The Newlywed Game by Captain_Loki | 19.5K | Mature
Stiles is (still) single when the pack's getaway to the Caribbean comes by (oh misplaced optimism); lucky for him Derek is committed to being uncommitted and even after all these years is still powerless against Stiles' unique forms of persuasion.
Cue a romantic getaway for two: sun, sand, and sarcasm abound...and the two roped into competing in the Resort's version of the Newlywed game. Only it's completely obvious it's going to end in disaster. Probably homicide.
Most probably homicide.
Plot twist: It doesn't.
Livin' La Vida Loca by jadore_hale, stomachaches | 16.3K
The one where Stiles answers a newspaper ad to be the Hale family's new pool boy and has a hell of a summer.
Wild and Reckless Breeze by GotTheSilver | 15.7K | Mature
In which Stiles is killing time working at a bookshop, Derek buys a lot of Chuck Palahniuk and they start hanging out, much to the confusion of Scott and the Sheriff.
hey asshole by everchanginginks | 15.6K | Mature
The Hales moved in next door more than a year ago and while Cora and Stiles became fast friends, Stiles has yet to meet his best friend's big brother, Derek, who’s been attending college in New York. When Derek comes home for the summer he makes less than a stellar impression. And vice versa.
To Navigate Your Seas by alisvolatpropiis | 26K | Explicit
Derek is a beach bum/surfer; Stiles is his new neighbor. Feels ensue.
The Lawn Ranger by Snowjob | 47.8K | Mature
In which Derek is an adolescent werewolf with a penchant for chocolate bunnies, and instead of the dream summer of lazing around the house playing video games and nibbling on his hoarded supply of easter candy his mother makes him get a job.
In which Stiles is a showoff jock with a broken arm and an embarrassing crush who can no longer push the lawn mower around the yard.
Bed Sharing For Dummies by werewolvesandarrows (nerdy_farm_girl) | 7.5K | Explicit
Scott and Kira decide they should all go on vacation. Stiles has to share a bed with Derek. He's handling it like a mature adult.
Beach Trip AU | Steady Like The Tide | tumblr ficlets
We'll Still Have The Summer by allyasavedtheday | 32.3K
He’s too busy waxing poetic in his own head about the surly – dreamy – dude holding the sign for the hotel to notice Scott already making his way over. He pauses halfway when he realises Stiles isn’t following him, turning around and eyeing Stiles curiously, “Dude, come on, the guy’s waiting.”
Stiles snaps himself into action and pushes his cart carrying his suitcases over to where Scott’s introducing himself to Stiles’ future husband.
“-And this is Stiles,” Scott is saying just as Stiles arrives next to him.
“I’m Derek,” the guy replies gruffly, folding the sign up and tucking it under his arm. “I’ll be taking you back to the hotel.”
Cutback by WonderWolf | 19.3K
Scott and Stiles are pro surfers in need of a place to stay for their upcoming competition. Out of all the things Derek expected this summer, being asked to house his brother and ex-boyfriend for one week wasn’t on the list.
i have always been the storm by stilinskisparkles | 25.2K | Explicit
"You’re all headed out to Oklahoma in a week.”
Derek snaps his head up, stares at him in horror, “No, boss.”
“Yes,” Finstock insists in a steely voice. “The NSSL have been on at us for a year about some decent exposure, and I think you’re just the team to do it.”
“I haven’t done weather since college,” Derek protests.
Boyd snorts again, presumably because he’s thinking back to the time when Derek and the weather last collided and he…. well, did the guy into the weather for a brief, wonderful, terribly foolish time. But, Boyd needs to shut up before Derek punches him on the nose.
We’ve Got Chemistry by dr_girlfriend | 17.8K
So…” The man was at the door to a shed now. “The previous owners left everything, so I think there should be everything you need. But let me know if you need me to pick up anything, or if you prefer, you can buy it and I’ll reimburse you…”
“Everything I need?” Stiles repeated. He had obviously missed something.
“You know.” The man smiled again, a little more cautiously. He was looking at Stiles as if he were a bit mentally-challenged. “To clean the pool.”
“To clean the pool,” Stiles repeated. He looked around. Then he looked down at himself, taking in his stained shirt, cargo shorts, and raggedy Converse.
“Oh!” he said. “Because I’m the pool guy.” And that’s not what he meant to say at all. He meant to say, “You think I’m the pool guy.”
Go For The Gold (And A Few Other Things) by SpiritsFlame | 14.7K | Mature
Stiles came to the Olympics with one goal- get a gold medal. By Opening Ceremonies, he has two goals. Win a gold medal, and sleep with Derek Hale. Unfortunately for him, those two goals are equally difficult.
Show Me How We Can Escape by secondstar | 9.8K | Explicit
Stiles needed a vacation. He deserved it, after working nonstop. Australia felt like a world away from the limelight; just what he needed. He didn't expect to meet Derek, though.
I Ran (So Far) by thepsychicclam | 33.7K | Explicit
In which Stiles' summer starts off so badly he starts running, gets pelted by paint balls, and decides he is, in fact, going crazy if he willingly wants to hang out with Derek Hale.
We’ll put on a show (Scotty has to know) by dearericbittle (dutchmoxie) | 7.7K
Stiles is a stubborn asshole, determined to have fun in Europe even though Scott stays behind in Belgium because of a girl. So asking a stranger to make out with him for the ‘Gram? Totally the best decision he’s ever made, and not just because that’ll totally show Jackson (and Scott!). Shame he won’t see the guy again, though.
Mermaider by nothing_left_sacred | 15.5K | Mature
“So what you’re saying is; you’re a mermaid princess.” Erica concluded.
“Yes, clearly. That is what I am saying. Thank you for putting it so concisely.” Stiles sassed, frowning at her. He wasn’t fucking Ariel; this was so far from being a Disney movie it wasn't even funny.
Or the one where a perfectly normal Beach Vacation escalates way too quickly, because this is Stiles' life.
Slow Burn by Boy_On_Strings | 69.7K | Explicit
Derek takes the pack on a vacation to a beach. Derek and Stiles are forced to share a room after Allison and Scott claim one room and Lydia claims another for her and Jackson. This leads the two towards bonding and more.
Burn It Out by Omni | 6.3K
Everything that he was got burned out of him, turned to ash and shadow just like everyone he loved. He was hollowed out and empty, and it hurt like claws across exposed nerves.
Then, it was done.
Move A Mountain by ZainClaw | 69K | Explicit
Stiles goes camping with his friends in New Mexico after graduation where they befriend a biker gang led by Derek: a guy whom Stiles can’t decide if he will be either relieved or devastated to never see again once their week is up.
Past The Breakers by thepsychicclam | 40.7K | Explicit
Stiles and Scott get summer jobs at the exclusive Seawolf Beach Resort, and the last thing Stiles expects is to start taking surf lessons from the hot lifeguard.

Gestures (KakaSaku)
This is for @harunosakuraweek, Day One, Prompt: Hanami
Sakura rubbed her eyes and fought to focus on the words in front of her. She’d spent the entire day in her office, trying to catch up on paperwork that should have been completed days if not weeks ago. She could never find never enough time to finish everything, especially when she saw patients during the day.
Blinking away the bleariness, Sakura returned to the row of numbers that indicated shinobi fatalities over the past month. She compared it to the previous month’s tally, then studied the past six months as a whole. There had been an uptick in deaths the previous two months, possibly attributable to the change to spring. However, the annual view showed an upward trend as well, and that couldn’t be attributed to the weather. There had to be extenuating factors. Maybe it was tied to the rise in the immigrant population—
A knock at the door pulled Sakura’s attention from her work. She growled and tossed the report onto her desk with a clatter. When she called out, she didn’t even try to moderate her tone. “Yes?”
A familiar grey head peeked around the door, then Kakashi stepped through. His eyes creased into his ever present eye smile. “So, you are still alive down here after all.”
“Yes, and I’m busy,” Sakura snipped, her annoyance with paperwork bleeding through at the first person she’d seen all day. “Is there something I can help you with?”
Kakashi closed the door behind him before crossing the office. He nodded. “As a matter of fact, there is.”
When the man didn’t continue, Sakura raised one eyebrow in his direction. “Did I mention that I was busy?”
“You did.” Kakashi rested one hip against the edge of Sakura’s desk, crossing his arms over his chest. “But, it’s going to have to wait. Official order of the Hokage, I’m afraid.”
Sakura tapped her pen against the palm of her opposite hand and narrowed her eyes. “Kakashi, I don’t have time for one of your games today. This paperwork needed done weeks ago, and I—
“And, you’ve been locked in here all day. You need to get out,” Kakashi finished. He leveled his gaze at Sakura. “You still have to eat, don’t you? And, all of this will still be here when you get back.
“I’ll order takeout,” Sakura countered, turning her attention back to her paperwork.
Kakashi plucked the report from Sakura’s hands. “I’m afraid not.” He lifted the pages out of Sakura’s reach when she shot to her feet. “I’m serious. This is for your own good.”
Growling, Sakura launched herself toward Kakashi, but he danced out of reach. After three unsuccessful attempts, she huffed and glared up at his smug expression. “If I agree to dinner, will you let me get back to work after?”
“If you still want to, yes.” Kakashi lowered the report, leaving himself wide open to Sakura’s fist. She didn’t put any chakra behind the punch; she used just enough force to remind him that she could have. The air whooshing out of the man’s lungs was more pleasant than she’d anticipated.
“Don’t manipulate me again,” Sakura warned, taking the pages back from Kakashi’s hand. She set the report back on her desk and shook her head. She knew a losing battle when she saw one. She turned to Kakashi who still hadn’t spoken and raised one hand to his shoulder. “Too hard?”
The man shook his head, letting a tentative breath. When it didn’t hurt, Kakashi nodded. “Okay, point taken. Are you ready to go?”
Sighing, Sakura flipped off the light on her desk and gave her work one last glance before turning away. She followed Kakashi out of the hospital and down the street. They passed Ichiraku, Sakura’s favorite sushi restaurant, the Korean BBQ, then the Chinese place that they’d been meaning to try. When they continued past Kakashi’s apartment, Sakura frowned. “Where exactly are you taking me?”
“Do you trust me?” Kakashi didn’t turn back or wait for Sakura’s answer; he already knew it. They’d been dating for a few months now, so it wasn’t completely unusual for him to surprise her with things like this, but it was rare.
The pair cut through the village, moving between buildings until Sakura began to wonder if Kakashi had lost his mind. There were no restaurants this way. When Kakashi stopped, Sakura almost ran into his back. She opened her mouth to complain, then stopped short at the scene before them.
The last time that Sakura had walked past this park, it had been a drab expanse of green and brown with the occasional splash of. It had erupted in shades of pink and white that swayed on every breeze. Dozens of people filled the space, colorful blankets spread over the scant spring grass. Sakura gazed around in wonder before turning back to face Kakashi.
“I didn’t want you to miss it,’ the man offered by way of explanation. “You’ve been so busy lately, I didn’t think you’d noticed.”
Kakashi led Sakura through the crowd, wading deeper into the sea of blossoms. He paused near the largest tree where a red and white blanket covered the ground. A heavy basket held the fabric in place. Sakura’s eyebrows crept upward again. “How did you manage all of this?”
“Being Hokage has some perks.” Kakashi eye smiled again then settled on the blanket. He offered one hand as if Sakura weren’t perfectly capable of joining him. She took it anyway, feeling a flush of warmth course through her. Kakashi held her hand for a moment, then released it. “Honestly, Shikamaru did most of this, but the thought was mine.”
“That’s what counts,” Sakura said, finally realizing how special the day really was. She had been so busy with work that she’d almost missed her chance to see their cherry blossoms at their peak. She gazed up at the tree above them; the soft petals of pink and white scented the air. So much beauty would be wiped away in just a few days. It seemed like such a waste, but at the same time, she knew that she wouldn’t appreciate them if they were always available. For one week, they would exist in perfection, then they would disappear as if they’d never been.
Exhaling, Sakura turned to find Kakashi watching her with a tender expression. A flush crept up her cheeks. “Thank you for this.”
“Maa.” Kakashi waved away the sentiment and began digging food and drinks out of the picnic basket. “I know how much you enjoy the flower viewing, but you were so caught up in work. I thought it might be a nice surprise.”
Sakura nodded, unable to hide the color on her face. She imagined that she must look something like the flowers overhead in the various stages of pink and could only hope that Kakashi didn’t notice. Reaching out, she helped him remove containers of their favorite foods without speaking. Sakura hoped that her actions conveyed her appreciation in a way that words couldn’t.
For a few minutes, Sakura felt every eye drawn to them. While she and Kakashi hadn’t been secretive about their relationship, they didn’t openly advertise it either. This was a big step for Kakashi, to put their lives so much in the public eye. The flower viewing was always crowded, but after a few minutes people went back to their own conversations. Sakura felt the tension bleed out of her shoulders.
“Thanks again,” Sakura murmured, leaning close enough to pitch the words for Kakashi’s ears alone. He turned the answer, and there was surprise in his eyes at how close they were. She closed the distance to meet his mouth in a kiss through the mask. “I love you.”
Kakashi tipped his head to the side, seeming to savor the closeness of the moment, then he smiled and brushed a strand of pink hair behind Sakura’s ear. “So, do you think you can hold off on returning to work for the rest of the night?”
Sakura leaned into the touch, and smiled. “I suppose you made a convincing argument, this time.”

Soulmate Marks (hyung line)
*Seokjin*
You were in Korea with your best friend for vacation. You had just gotten out of college with your doctorate in medicine (idk just go with it). Y/B/F/N was hoping that this trip you would be able to find your soulmate. She met hers two days after her mark appeared. It was someone that she worked with that she had always had a major crush on. You were happy for her but sometimes her constantly reminding you that you hadn’t found yours was annoying.
“We need to get some things from the store for the cabin. It shouldn’t take long hopefully. Then we can get back and rest.”
She says.
You make it to the small grocery store and immediately began marking things off of the list. You were in the check out line when your best friend smacked her palm to her forehead.
“I forgot the avocado for the guacamole later this week. Can you run back to the produce section and grab one?”
She asks.
You sigh and nod. You hurried as quickly as you could to the produce section. You were reaching for the plumpest avocado that you could see when a hand brushed against yours. You felt an electric shock pass through you and gasped jerking your hand back. Your soulmate mark was tingling and becoming borderline painful. You looked up when you heard a gasp from the person that you had accidentally touched. You looked up and let out a surprised breath when you saw SeokJin from BTS. You only vaguely knew about them from your friend. You then trailed your gaze down, following his. He was looking at your soulmate mark. You bite your lip and was about to say something about how weird it was when he held out his arm and the same mark was also there.
“I guess it was meant to be that my friends wanted gucamole this week.”
He says smiling.
You smiled back.
“Yeah, I guess it’s a good thing that my friend wanted guacamole as well. I’m Y/N by the way.”
You say, tucking some hair behind your ears.
“I’m SeokJin but you can just call me Jin.”
He says.
“Do you maybe want to come to dinner with me and my friend? I want to get to know you better besides I only have two weeks here before I head back to (your home country).”
You say.
“Well, I have to cook for my friends but maybe you want to come over and meet them instead? I will tell you that they may act a little crazy because I am the last one to find my soulmate.”
He says.
You giggle and write your number down on the back of a gum wrapper from your purse.
“Text me in a little while with the address. I need to talk with my friend but I would be up for meeting your friends if they are up for it.”
You say.
He nods and pulls you into a tight hug.
“I’m so glad that I found you.”
He whispers.
*Yoongi*
You are an underground rapper that moved from (your home country) to South Korea about a year ago. You had ran away from home the day after you got your soulmate mark because you knew that if your parents saw it then it would be all over for you. They would make you go to the doctors and get it dissolved with some painful medicine that had been designed for those that did not want to have a soulmate. That brings you to where you are now, an abandoned warehouse surrounded by hundreds of the usuals waiting for your turn to be on stage. You knew that winning this competition tonight would give you the money to stay in a decent hotel for a while and have money left over to get some actual food.
“Next up we have Agust D and Y/N Y/L/N (or rapper name if you’d rather)!”
You walked up on the stage where you were handed a mic and you stood to the left while you waited for the other person to step up beside you. When the person stepped onstage your soulmate mark immediately began tingling and burning. You and Agust D bounced around the stage throwing words back and forth until the backing track was finished. The votes were counted and you were a little bummed when you didn’t win but that was okay. You gave your opponent a smile and held your hand out for a handshake. He smiles and places his hand in yours. You gasped when you felt a strong electric shock flow through your body. You then noticed the marking on his wrist at the same time that he seemed to notice yours. You looked up at him in shock and he seemed to be shocked as well. He pulled his hand away and started rubbing the back of his neck.
“Do you maybe want to go and get some coffee? I know this really good coffee shop that is still open around this time.”
He says.
“I would like that. I won’t be able to stay out too long though because I have a busy day of job hunting tomorrow.”
You say.
He rubs the back of his neck again.
“Well, if you know how to work soundboards and stuff the company that I am working with is looking for producers. I’m sure that they would be happy to have you. I can talk to my manager tomorrow.”
He says.
You smile.
“I would really like that. I’ve been working with soundboards since I was sixteen. I think I am fairly good with them. I’m also pretty good at writing songs even if I’m not so great at rapping them.”
You say, tucking a piece of loose hair behind your ear.
“Well, if I can give you the address and you can come by tomorrow and stuff.”
He says as you walk into the warmth of the coffee shop.
“Well, as long as I can see you and get to know you better I don’t see why I don’t give it a shot.”
You say as he pulls the chair out for you to sit in a blush on his cheeks.
“Well, you will most definitely be seeing me. We will probably be working together a lot since I am part of a rap group. We will need someone to record for us. I think that you would be the perfect match.”
He says, showing his gummy smile.
You couldn’t help but to let your own smile show through. You knew that you were destined to be with the right person without a doubt.
*Hoseok*
Hoseok sighed as he made his way into the little bbq place that Jin and Jeongguk had wanted to go to. They wanted him to get out of the house because all he had on his mind was when he was going to meet his soulmate and if he was ever going to meet them. He was freaking out that he would never be able to find them. Almost everyone in the group had found theirs and he has had no luck. They got brought to a small corner booth at the request of Jin so that it would be hard to spot them. The two other boys joked around as he watched the koi fish swim in their little pond chasing each other around.
“Hoseok, get out of your mind and into the present.”
Jeongguk says, lightly kicking his foot.
He shook out of his thoughts and played with the straw in his drink.
“You need to just quit thinking for a little while. It’s only going to make you more upset the more that you think about it.”
Jin says.
He sighs but nods taking a drink of his soda. He knew that the boys were right. The more that he thought about it the more that he would be upset. He eventually started joking around the boys as Jin started grilling the meat. They had just gotten finished eating and he had lost in Rock Paper Scissors so he had to pay. He walked up to the stand that was near the small koi pond and he rubbed at his soulmate mark.
“Are you paying out?”
The voice made him jump out of his thoughts.
“Oh yes-“
He trailed off when he saw the mark that matched his etched onto the skin of your arm as you reached out to take the check from him. You looked at him confused before he gently held his arm up and moved his sleeve so that you could see the mark on his arm. You gasped and walked out from around the stand. You wrapped your arms around him tightly.
“I’m so glad that I finally found you.”
You whisper into his chest quietly.
You could hear cheers happening around you. Everyone was happy that you guys had finally found each other. Hoseok could hear his friends cheering the loudest as tears streamed down his cheeks. He couldn’t believe that he had finally managed to find you.
*Namjoon*
You smiled as you stepped out of the Uber that you had gotten from the Airbnb that you were staying out. You couldn’t wait to track up the mountainside and take in some fresh air. Being holed up in the Airbnb for the last two days trying to get over jet lag had left you feeling irritable. You pulled your mask up to keep the dust and pollen from getting into your lungs. You began your trek up the mountainside, making sure your water bottle was clipped to your fannypack that was attached around your waist. You made your way to the first rest spot which had a small stream and some picnic tables sat up. You giggled to yourself when you saw someone stacking rocks on the edge of the stream. You heard him curse when he dropped the stone and it made a splash which reached his jeans.
“Be careful there. I don’t think that you want to fall into the stream this time of weather.”
You say, pulling your mask down below your chin.
He gasped and looked over to you. He then gave you a smile, dimples becoming noticable.
“I didn’t think that people would still be coming up here in this weather.”
He says.
You giggle.
“Yeah, I’m not originally from here so I’m just exploring. I wanted to get out of the Airbnb for a while.”
“Yeah, I knew that I didn’t recognize your accent, but you are really good at speaking Korean. You must have spent a lot of time studying.”
He says.
“Some. I actually studied abroad in Busan when I was in high school. That’s where I actually learned a lot of Korean. I just didn’t ever get to come here and explore so I ended up coming here after I graduated college.”
You say, pulling your sleeves up to rest at your elbows, feeling the sun start streaming through the trees.
You heard a gasp and looked up to see the guy in front of you, yanking his sleeve up and holding it out for you to see. You grinned when you saw the mountains that matched yours.
“I’m Namjoon.”
He says.
“I’m Y/N. It’s so nice to finally meet you. I’ve been waiting years. I never thought that I would meet you.”
You say.
“Do you maybe want to track up the mountain with me? We can get to know each other a little bit better. I think that it would be fun.”
He says.
“Yeah, I think that would be nice.”
You say.
He smiles and tangles his fingers into yours squeezing lightly. You couldn’t help but to blush.

Break My Stride | 4
Pairing: Yoongi x Jungkook
Word Count: 4,109
Summary: Yoongi is an Omega that has managed to escape the annual mating run without an Alpha for seven years in a row. He has no plans for that to change, but he’s unaware of his latest opponent: the newly presented Alpha Jeon Jungkook, his very determined childhood friend.
AN: The end is here! I figured I would knock this last chapter out since it was almost done. I hope you all enjoyed this self-indulgent fic. I have a couple of extra chapter ideas I might add some time in the future. Like, one where I tell the Namjinseok pairing from their POV, and a chapter with Beta Jungkook’s pov, maybe a Vmin origin chapter...and I dunno. I had a couple more. Just saying this might not be the last we see of them. Enjoy!
Waking up in Jungkook’s arms was something that he thought he could get used to easily. As soon as he opened his eyes he was face to face with the Alpha, the other’s appearance so innocent and peaceful in sleep. He took the chance to observe him at leisure, memorizing all the various moles and scars.
“Watching people sleep is really creepy, hyung.”
Yoongi sputters as Jungkook cracks open an eye, his lips turning up in a sleepy grin.
“Shut up. I was just trying to figure out how to wake you up since you sleep like you’re dead.”
Jungkook hums and scratches his belly. “Hmm, I’ve always wanted to wake up with your mouth on my co - “
Yoongi kicks him in the shin. “Yeah, I get it, shut up...maybe next time.”
Jungkook giggles and rolls over on top of Yoongi, uncaring of their equally horrible morning breath as he kisses him sweetly on the lips. He pauses for just a moment before doing the same to the mating bite that was slowly healing on Yoongi’s neck. The spot tingled at the touch, the overwhelming depth of Jungkook’s feelings bleeding through the connection. It was going to take a lot of work to get used to that.
“Mmm,” Yoongi hums deeply. “We should start heading back. I’m starving and they should have the good BBQ food trucks out today. They know we all worked up an appetite.”
“We did,” Jungkook smirks, then his expression changes instantly, his eyes going impossibly wide. He nibbles at Yoongi’s shoulder as he stares up at him. “You should buy me meat, hyung. Buy me lamb skewers.”
“I’ll give you some meat,” Yoongi grumbles playfully as he climbs off the bed, stretching his aching limbs.
“I mean, I’m down for anything,” Jungkook giggles.
Yoongi rolls his eyes. “Jesus, you’re horny in the morning, aren’t you?”
Jungkook comes around the bed and wraps his arms around Yoongi’s waist, nuzzling into the Omega’s neck.
“Just for you, hyung.”
“And sappy too,” Yoongi chuckles and turns his head to peck Jungkook on his cheek in consolation for tearing his arms off of him.
“Grab your clothes, baby. We gotta go before Jin orders all the steak for himself. Let’s not forget the twenty orders of crabs and lobsters debacle of 2015.”
The Alpha sighs, but it sounds so happy Yoongi looks at him curiously. He's looking all dreamy, with that dopey little smile again.
“What?”
Jungkook shrugs, “I like it when you call me baby.”
Yoongi chuckles and throws Jungkook’s pants onto his face. The Alpha grumbles but eventually starts tugging his clothes on and straightening himself up. His bedhead flopped around cutely, unable to be tamed.
Yoongi quickly got ready himself, tugging on his clothes and ruffling his hair a bit. He definitely needed a shower, but he settled for using the few toiletries he’d thought to bring - an extra layer of deodorant and a gargle of mouthwash, neither of which covered up the heady ‘just mated’ scent that emanated from his very pores. Not that he really minded. He rather enjoyed how their scents had blended together, creating something that smelled like a summer day with undercurrents of contented mates. Something he’d never thought he’d associate with himself. He was surprised at how much he was looking forward to showing off that he belonged to Jungkook.
“What are we gonna do with all your other stuff here, hyung?” Jungkook asks as he hands Yoongi a water bottle from the chest. He takes a moment to chug the whole thing and tosses it into the garbage bag in the corner.
“We’ll come back for it later tonight. There’s a trail not too far away that my car can reach and I’ll need the bedding to be able to get any sleep,” Yoongi grumbled, slightly annoyed at the very thought of being away from his nest for too long.
Newly bonded couples usually stayed near their nests for at least a week, and he was starting to realize why. He had to struggle through the slight panic he felt over being away from their “den”, temporary though it was supposed to be. His Omega was practically whining thinking of leaving the well-scented nest. The urge to just say fuck it and tackle Jungkook into the bedding was really strong.
Yoongi went to the tunnel and waited as Jungkook tugged on his track jacket before he walked over and gestured towards him.
“After you, hyung,” Jungkook waved towards the tunnel with a suspicious looking grin.
Yoongi narrowed his eyes but shrugged, climbing into the tunnel. He scuttled along, maybe making sure his ass waved in front of the Alpha’s face a little more than was necessary. He yelped when Jungkook answered his challenge by biting him right on the ass. The other answered his glare with an unapologetic smirk before they continued their journey.
Once they reached the end and crawled out, they helped each other clean off then started walking the same path they’d taken to get there. The weather was perfect - sunny with just a touch of breeze to make it bearable. The birds were chirping, squirrels running around on the branches. Add to that the moment when Jungkook slyly laced his fingers with Yoongi’s as they walked and it was a regular Disney moment.
Since they were just walking it took a bit longer to reach the stream, and by the time they were there, Yoongi was getting tired. He stopped for a moment to stretch and kick some of the kinks in his ankles away. Jungkook suddenly walked in front of him and presented his back.
“Hop on.”
“What? We still have a bit and I’m heavy,” Yoongi protested with a wave.
“You weigh next to nothing. Come on, baby. Sooner we get there, sooner you can buy me meat.”
Yoongi sputters at the unexpected endearment, while Jungkook grins.
“You like it too, huh? Noted.”
Just to shut him up, Yoongi climbs onto the offered back, lacing his arms around Jungkook’s neck and winding his legs around the Alpha’s surprisingly thin waist.
“Hold on, hyung.”
And with that, Jungkook charges ahead, running at nearly full speed as Yoongi tries to hold on without squealing. Suddenly, it’s not that surprising how Jungkook had caught up with him so fast if he could run like this even while he was carrying a whole other person.
Because of Jungkook’s ridiculous stamina, they made the last stretch in half the time it would have taken Yoongi alone. Just as they passed the final stretch of stream, the sounds of the Run event filtered through the trees. Many of the people had been here for hours already, waiting for the couples that had stayed in the woods overnight to rejoin their parties. This second day of the event was the biggest and was when everyone would take the chance to celebrate new joinings and make sure the new couples were fed well before they went on their way to their new homes.
As soon as the official tables came into view, Jungkook gently helped Yoongi back onto his own feet and grasped his hand to pull him eagerly towards them.
Jungkook walked straight towards the first woman he saw with a clipboard, blindsiding the stunned woman with one of his lethal smiles while he wrapped an arm around Yoongi’s waist to pull him close.
“Hi! We both need mating packets.”
Yoongi rolled his eyes because he could tell that Jungkook was practically bragging instead of just asking like a normal person.
The woman’s smile widened as she passed them the sign-out sheet and two big packets of paperwork.
“Congratulations! You make a lovely couple. Your packet includes an instruction sheet and we’ve tried to make filling them out as painless as possible. Just remember to send them in within two weeks to avoid the fine. I hope you two have a happy union,” the official enthused, cooing whenever Jungkook would nuzzle into Yoongi’s hair.
Jungkook signed out and passed Yoongi the board while he accepted the two bulging packets. Yoongi quickly scribbled his name, pausing for a moment to take it all in. This was it. He wouldn’t have to look at this dumb shit again. No more runs for him. He was free of it all and coming out with a good Alpha that was already his best friend. Not in a million years had he ever pictured this outcome, but he was so happy that Jungkook chose him.
They don’t even bother looking for the others yet as both of them were absolutely starving, so they went straight towards the food trucks. After letting Jungkook enthusiastically pull him between four different trucks, they came away with two BBQ platters with ten lamb skewers on the side, a couple orders of bao buns, a variety platter of tacos, and a couple of strawberry shortcakes for dessert. Yoongi wasn’t even sure if they were going to eat it all, but he figured what they didn’t touch the rest of the group would descend on like vultures.
They were searching for an open picnic bench to settle down on when Yoongi heard a deep voice screaming Jungkook’s name. Taehyung waved to them wildly as he stood on top of a table, obviously having been trying to keep an eye out for them.
Yoongi breathed deeply, suddenly nervous. He was proud, yes, but he was still nervous about what his friends would think. There could be any number of issues that they could take with their mating, like that he was too old for Jungkook, too mean, too messed up - just too much.
Instead, Taehyung’s happy grin turned into a smirk the closer they got. He jumped off the table and his gaze flickered between Yoongi and Jungkook’s necks, inhaling deeply before he suddenly started laughing. Jimin sauntered up holding a couple of drinks, and he handed one to Taehyung as he looked at him curiously.
“Look,” Taehyung said breathily between bouts of laughter, “They finally figured it out.”
Jimin turned his glance to the two standing awkwardly with their hands full of food, his eyes widening as he took in the bite marks. He inhaled deeply before chuckling.
“Congrats! It’s about time.”
Yoongi looked at the two, suddenly very confused.
“What the hell does that mean?” he muttered as he set his food down on the table. Jungkook silently slid in next to him and squeezed his thigh in comfort.
“It means,” Jimin rolled his eyes, “That we been knew. Jungkookie has always been obvious as hell about you, hyung. And we always knew he was your favorite. Oh god, Tae. Do you remember the time Jungkook spent an entire weekend making Yoongi hyung a valentine when he was like, ten? He even made him homemade chocolates shaped like music notes.”
Taehyung giggled, nodding his head. “Oh yeah. And remember when Yoongi thought Jungkookie was dating that Mina girl? He was like an angry bear and kept snapping at everyone. Then suddenly, he was hungry and nothing but the pancakes at the diner would do. Nevermind that was where Jungkook was hanging out with Mina to study for their science project.”
“Okay, I get it. Alright,” Yoongi murmured, distracting himself with a bite of food.
“Baby,” Jungkook suddenly whispered against his ear, “Were you jealous?”
Yoongi could feel his face flush as he cleared his throat and whispered back.
“I wanted to rip her hair out and I didn’t know why.”
Jungkooks smug grin was totally worth letting that little embarrassing fact drop.
“Anyway, everyone else on their way?” Yoongi asked after taking a sip of his drink.
Jimin and Taehyung sneak a glance at each other before wiggling their eyebrows in tandem.
“Now there’s a story. Basically, one moment we were finishing our dinner as we watched you two start your run, then Hobi and Namjoon were quietly arguing with Jin. The next thing I know, Hobi starts growling at Jin and goes, “Run,” in like the scariest voice I’ve ever heard him use. Jin just stood there looking stunned for a minute and starts to walk away like he was leaving. Then Namjoon stands up and points towards the forest and goes, “Wrong way, hyung. Run that way,” Jimin explains dramatically, letting Taehyung take over the rest.
“Yeah, and then Jinnie looks shocked as hell but then he books it. Namjoonie and Hobie hyung kissed for like a whole minute, which was both sweet and gross, and then Hobie I swear to God said, “Let's go get our mate, baby,” then ran after Jinnie. So I’m guessing they fucked in the woods all night because we still haven’t seen them come back.”
“Huh,” Yoongi huffs. “Speaking of about time.”
All four of them make various sounds of agreement then focused on their food for the most part, Jimin occasionally regaling them with tales of couples he’d seen coming out of the woods. Jungkook was absolutely shameless with his affection, not caring if Taehyung or Jimin made fun of him for his constant nuzzling or various groping on Yoongi’s person. Yoongi himself was surprised that he was allowing it, as he’d never really been into PDA, but instead his stupid Omega was preening and basking with pride in the Alpha’s affections. It probably didn’t hurt when he saw how many envious glances were thrown his mate’s way.
An hour later and they were all beginning to consider texting the other three to make sure they were at least alive. Yoongi was getting anxious because he really wanted to leave and nest with Jungkook, his Omega slowly growing nervous with all the various scents coming close to his new mate.
Just as he was about to suggest leaving and apologizing to the rest later, the three finally came through the trees, all of them holding hands with Seokjin in the middle. They were covered in dirt and leaves but looked happy and content. All three of them sporting mating bites on both sides of their necks.
The four at the table erupted into whistles and catcalls as they came closer. Namjoon’s proudly puffed his chest, his pride nearly rivaling Jungkook’s attitude of the day. Hoseok’s smile was beaming and Seokjin somehow managed to look unruffled, though his slight blush gave him away.
“Congratulations,” Yoongi smirked as he raised his cup towards the new mates.
Jin quirked an eyebrow at him, “Indeed. I could say the same for you. Been doing things with my baby brother, have you?”
Yoongi sputtered and eyed Seokjin nervously before the other finally broke, laughing loudly.
“Relax. I’ve known about his crush for years. And then when he presented he wouldn’t stop screaming your name - which, thanks for that. That’s burned into my memory for all fucking time.”
“So you’re not mad?”
“Of course not. I couldn’t have picked better for either of you. I love you both and you’ll be happy together. Of course, if you hurt him, you know how much crime television I watch. I could kill you and dispose of the body and weep so well at your funeral not a soul would suspect me.”
“Noted,” Yoongi cringed as Jungkook giggled and kissed the side of his head.
“Hyung, wanna go home?” Jungkook whispered.
Yoongi nodded and Jungkook stood up, grabbing his hand to help him up. They left the rest of the food there for the others to pick on and waved to the table,
“Alright, we’re out of here. Don’t bother us for the rest of the weekend,” Jungkook smirked at the group. They rolled their eyes and yelled their goodbyes.
“Make sure you remember to eat well!” Hobi screamed, “And don’t forget to make sure Yoongi drinks water! He always forgets, and he smells like he’s going into heat. OH, get him Slurpees! He loves those when he’s in heat!”
“Will do, hyung! Bye guys!”
Yoongi rushes off before they finish screaming instructions, now thoroughly embarrassed - even if he was a little touched by their concern.
Jungkook escorts him to his own car and even opens the door for him. Yoongi knows it’s only a matter of time before he goes back to his spoiled brat ways, so for now he’s enjoying this side of Jungkook.
The drive is quiet but comfortable, the two of them only unlacing their clasped hands if necessary. When they pull up to the three-story Italiante house that Yoongi has coveted since he was young, his heart feels like it’s going to burst out of his chest.
“Are you happy, hyung?” Jungkook asks as he helps Yoongi out of the car and pulls him towards the entrance.
Yoongi’s voice catches when he tries to answer, so he simply nods and squeezes Jungkook’s hand, knowing the other will understand and perhaps feel him over the bond without saying anything.
Yoongi’s only been able to see the inside of this house in person a couple times, mostly having to rely on memory and internet pictures to make his dream plans. The inside is still the same, with the original wood floors, intricate windows, and the massive fireplace in the front parlor. It appeared as though all that Jungkook had really done was clean the place up and add a couple of chairs and a small table for them to use during the bonding period.
“I figured since I was able to buy the whole thing with cash and now it’s all ours, we could use the savings you’ve been putting together towards actually decorating it how you wanted and fixing up whatever needed it.”
“That's...God, that’s perfect, Kook. You’re perfect. Thank you,” Yoongi said breathlessly, trying to contain his tears as he took in the magnificence of the house. The home of his dreams, with the perfect Alpha. He didn’t know if he deserved all this, but he wasn’t willing to give it up even if he wasn’t.
“I already claimed the bedroom towards the back of the upstairs hall for us. It’s the biggest and I put a mattress and stuff in there for us to use until we go shopping,” Jungkook nods towards the stairs before suddenly clearing his throat nervously.
“And...uh...we might wanna pick a room for a nursery.”
“Oh yeah?” Yoongi huffed a laughed, “Already making big plans, baby Alpha?”
“Um,” Jungkook ruffled his hair nervously, “So part of being a prime is enhanced scenting and hearing, even more than the usual Alpha. So...uh...we can smell stuff like pregnancy right away. And hear heartbeats. And enhanced fertility...” Jungkook’s voice trailed off until it was nearly a whisper.
Yoongi turned to stare at the nervous Alpha, lifting an eyebrow as he pieced together what Jungkook was trying to say.
“You motherfucker. You knocked me up, didn’t you?”
“Um...yes? I mean, it’s too early to hear a heartbeat I think, but I can smell you. You smell really super sweet and like...maybe milky?”
Yoongi strode towards him and startled him by reaching up and pulling him in for a hard kiss. When he pulled away, Jungkook gaped at him in awe.
“You’re not mad?”
“No, baby. I’m not mad. I’m...maybe overwhelmed a bit. Just yesterday I was resigned to being alone, and now I have an amazing mate and a pup on the way. I’m so grateful that you picked me.”
Jungkook rushed forward and embraced him, nuzzling his nose into Yoongi’s hair.
“I love you, hyung.”
“I love you too, baby.”
With that, Jungkook swooped in and grabbed Yoongi, picking him up bridal style as he ran up the stairs to their new nest, where they spent the rest of the day breaking it in until they had to leave to clean out Yoongi’s cave under the cover of darkness.
Yoongi fanned himself as he sat in an uncomfortable lawn chair, the blazing sun making him absolutely miserable. It would have been tough for him on a usual day, but now at five months pregnant, he was basically in hell. Still, there was no way he’d miss Jungkook’s academy graduation.
The six of them were crammed into the middle of the front row as they waited for Jungkook’s name to called. Hobi was excitedly waiting for his chance to embarrass the poor Alpha with the brightly colored banner he made just for the occasion. The other two youngest were rapidly arguing back and forth trying to decide on some sort of chant they were going to scream.
Yoongi gently smiled as Jungkook’s eyes found him in the crowd, the other’s bunny smile wide and beaming when he caught sight of his mate. They were still as crazy about each other as ever, having spent the last five months building their home together and finding it easy to turn their close friendship into a solid foundation for their new life as mates. His Alpha absolutely doted on him and Yoongi did everything he could to make sure Jungkook knew he felt the same.
Finally, Jungkook’s name was called and he walked up to shake the Captain’s hand and accept the paper stating he’d graduated from the Police Academy after six grueling months of training.
The group clapped along with the rest of the room, but Hobi and the two brats of course stood up and started dancing and waving the banner around as Jungkook’s face flush a lovely color of dark pink. He tried to gesture for Hobi to sit down, even knowing it was a futile attempt.
It wasn’t until they determined they had thoroughly embarrassed the young Alpha enough that they finally settled down and allowed the announcer to call the next person. Yoongi chuckled to himself know he was going to have to listen to Jungkook bitch about their friends later.
After the ceremony, there was a small reception and the group found themselves in the back of the room settling into a round table that was similar to their usual spot. Yoongi observed his friends contently as he held hands with Jungkook under the table, the other one rubbing his stomach absentmindedly.
“You know, something just occurred to me,” Namjoon suddenly blurted. “It’s not that surprising we all ended up together. We never wanted to make friends with other people either, so of course we would want to be mates with each other too.”
“Speak for yourself, hyung,” Taehyung chuckled. “I have tons of friends that aren’t you guys. So does Jiminie.”
Namjoon rolls his eyes. “I just mean like, maybe there was a reason we always stuck together. Maybe we were all meant to be.”
“If you’re trying to tell me you love me, Joonie, I appreciate it but I have a lovely Alpha already,” Yoongi smirks.
“I just mean, like, soulmates. You know? Maybe we were supposed to meet to help each other find our mates. Or maybe we are all soulmates in various forms.”
“I’m too exhausted to think about this right now, my love. We all love each other, we’re going to grow up and live in the same nursing home. Etc, etc. Just eat,” Jin says as he shoves a piece of chicken in Namjoon’s mouth.
Yoongi was grateful for Jin’s interference because he was too tired for one of Namjoon’s epiphanies, but he did get what he’d been trying to say. He’s always felt like this group was where he was supposed to be, these other six souls that there intertwined with his own. And one that shone brighter than the rest as it became one with his; as Jungkook’s love and devotion made every day worth living.
He stroked his stomach gently, smiling to himself. Jungkook squeezed his hand and spoke words of love with his eyes as he smiled down at the Omega.
Yes, this is where he was meant to be.

10 Reasons To Have A Summer BBQ
With the summer months rapidly approaching and this shorts-appropriate weather already here, it's time to get serious about how and where you're going to exercise your undying right to day drink. Ah, yes, the easy breezy summer months when everybody has a fresh new attitude in preparation for reintroducing themselves to the sunlight and extra-long days. To make this most of your summer, we're here to provide you with 10 reasons you either need to quickly befriend somebody with a BBQ-friendly house or start considering taking matters into your own hands by offering up your digs to lead the very necessary BBQ fiesta train. So without further ado, we give you 10 Reasons To Have A Summer BBQ:
1. Taking Off Amateur Night
While pretty much any day is a good day for a BBQ, a Saturday afternoon/evening BBQ provides you and your friends a much needed alternative to going out and hitting up that tragic nightclub on Amateur Night you spent way too much time at all Winter long.
2. Be White Trash About It
It's time to let your inner trailer park run free and sip that Bud Light (or PBR if you're really hip) straight from the can while standing on the lawn and snacking on Cheetos. Revel in eating off of paper plates, drinking cocktails out of Solo cups and all the while wearing flip flops. Read more here.
If the step by step guideline for barbecue recipes is followed, you are sure to end up something utterly delightful on your plate, which is sure to make your relatives completely spellbound.
The Food Lab: My 19 Favorite Summer Grilling Recipes
Even when I lived in a New York apartment, grilling (perhaps illegally, on my balcony) was my favorite way to spend a warm summer evening. Now that I'm out in the Bay Area, warm summer evenings don't really exist, but I've got far more room for grilling than I've ever had before, which means that I've slowly been collecting extra grilling tools. It's only a matter of time before I build myself a full-on outdoor kitchen so that I never have to leave the smoky bliss of the live fire. Whether you're firing up the gas grill for a quick weeknight dinner or settling in with a cooler full of beer for a Sunday afternoon of tending to the coals, here are 19 of my favorite grilling recipes and techniques of all time. They're not in any particular order, unless you count "numerically, from delicious to delicious."
#1: 5-MINUTE GRILLED CHICKEN CUTLETS WITH ROSEMARY, GARLIC, AND LEMON
I used to be one of those "give me dark meat or give me death" chicken and turkey eaters (you know the type). Maybe it's because I'm getting older or softer, but these days, I almost prefer chicken breast to legs. Actually, I know the reason: It's because I finally learned to cook the darned things well. When done right, chicken breast should be tender and moist, with plenty of clean chicken flavor. This recipe is just about the fastest, most foolproof way to cook chicken on the grill; the trick is to cook it 90% of the way through on one side to maximize browning without overcooking. If you use store-bought cutlets, this go-to weeknight meal can be on the table in under half an hour, start to finish.
#2: CARNE ASADA
At its simplest, carne asada is nothing more than skirt steak grilled with a little salt and pepper. But for this version, I wanted to capture the spicy, savory flavor of my favorite Cal-Mex versions growing up. The secret is a marinade made with dried chilies, citrus juice, and (wait for it) fish sauce, for an extra-meaty flavor boost. Check more here.
Cooking times for backyard barbecue recipes can vary depending on your grill, the temperature outside, and the ribs you choose, so test for doneness rather than strictly following a recipe.

I’m back from Korea
I feel like October didn’t happen at all .. but at the same time, it happened & it happened too quickly =/
I was away for 2.5 weeks in Korea, & then when I came back, it was a mini series of night shifts so I practically did nothing. .. & by the time I realized it, it was Halloween & I was working evening shifts so I didn’t go out. O_O it has been 1 crazy month. But November is here now, & things are returning back to normal: my vacation withdrawal is over, & I have some “normal” combo of shifts, & it’s time to say bye-bye to the hot weather. It’s gonna be great~
Okay, let’s be real: I’m never “over” a Korea trip lol the other day, I was really craving that budae jjigae. The struggle was real. So I made it for lunch ^^
For my 1st return post, I’ve decided to keep things simple & just share a brief summary of my 2.5 week-long trip with you!
Day 1-4: I stayed at my usual Seoul home, Namsan Hill Hotel. I was unable to book a longer stay at this place =( These 1st few days, I revisited some places in Seoul: Namdaemun (for hand-cut noodles called “kalguksu”); Sinchon/Ewha Womens Univ area/Hongik Univ area for shopping & ; Gyeongbokgung area for Tongin Market & some art museums; Insadong/Samcheongdong/Bukchon Hanok Village for some relaxing strolls around traditional Korean housing. Some new places I went to include:
- a cafe called “Kopi Han-yak-bang” (lit. trans.: “coffee Korean pharmacy”). Look it up! It’s super cool! The owner believes coffee has a healing power, just like traditional herbal medicine, so the cafe is like a vintage herbal medicine shop/pharmacy. It feels as if you’re entering a movie set rather than a cafe.
- The Skyfarm for brunch! Pretty place with amazing view of Seoul.
- Seongsu area for industrial warehouse cafes. It was a valuable & memorable experience bcos Seongsu used to be an area for large factories (making of leather products & shoes, & car-fixing shops), but it’s revitalizing & the large factory spaces are now being converted to hip coffeeshops. Many of which do collabs with local/emerging artists & fashion designers so there’s lots of artsy things to see in these coffeeshops.
- Seoul Forest. There’s like a picnic area, some basketball & tennis courts, walking trails, etc. .. I had a convenience store goods dinner in the picnic area, & watched the sunset there.
Day 5-8: I moved over to Savoy Hotel located in the heart of Myeongdong. It’s ~15min walk away from Namsan Hill Hotel. Great location but also quite loud. My options were slim when I was booking stuff, & I needed to stay close to Seoul Station bcos I arranged 4x 1-day trips! I didn’t realize it at first but then I was like, “I have 4 back-to-back day trips right now.” I was essentially out every day from like 0700h to 2100h.
Trip 1: Paju~ for Heyri Art Village & Provence. I have been to these places before & really liked it so I went back, esp Heyri Art Village. After the day trip, I met up with 2 of my coworkers for K-BBQ in the Hapjeong area.
Trip 2: Jeonju~ I only went to 1 place in Jeonju & that was the Jeonju Hanok Village. It was raining all day that day. However, it was still very enjoyable. The village was a beautiful place, & under the rain, it looked even more picturesque.
Trip 3: Incheon~ for Incheon Chinatown & Wolmido, which is an island connected to Incheon via a highway. Due to its close proximity to China, Incheon became a major port for trades back in the day, & the Chinese immigrants basically settled here, hence it’s the largest Chinatown in Korea. I met up with my friend Ji Yoon in Chinatown & we spent some time catching up.
Trip 4: Gangneung~ For the annual Gangneung Coffee Festival; its title was “Voices of Coffee” this year! It was held at the Gangneung Olympic Ice Arena. I can’t recall how many shots of coffee samples I had that day, but it was a lot. I also went to the Anmok Coffee Street, which is a line of cafes along Anmok Beach - all the cafes face the beach so the view is pretty. Even more so on the day I went bcos it was cloudy =]
Day 9: remained in Seoul today. Went to the Seoul Botanic Garden, which opened its doors in May 2019. Very pretty displays~ Huuuuuge space too. It was like Telus World x Muttart Conservatory x Devonian Botanic Garden. Lots to see, & if you go, allot more time for yourself here. & then in the evening, I camped out by Yeouido Hangang Park for the annual Seoul International Fireworks Festival, which was named “Life is Colourful” this year. So many ppl! I was expecting that before going but it was beyond my imagination. It was truly an experience- the streets were blocked off for pedestrian traffic & literally, it took like 10mins to move 5meters after the show as over! Then at the subway station nearby, there was a bottleneck, where apparently the capacity inside the underground station was reached so we needed to wait outside the exit.. . still, it was fun!
Day 10-12: 1 way train ticket to Busan. Yes, train to Busan ;) I was safe though hehe Busan was beautiful! In hindsight, I should’ve spent more time here but . .. NEXT TIME! I went to BIFF Square & Gukje Market, which was like across from my hotel, Stanford Inn Busan. Gamcheon Cultural Village was super cute; although I would hate being a resident there =/ The Busan Int’l Film Festival was happening then, & I visited the Expo & Convention Centre for the film market. Can’t go into the exhibition, but that whole area was filled with ads/posters of BIFF - it was a big deal! It was cool to witness such a big event & to experience the sheer scale of it. I then went to Shinsegae Centum City, which is the largest shopping complex in the world. Haeundae Beach was also cool. I went on a cloudy day & it was awesome! That same evening/night, I checked out the Jagalchi Fish Market, which is the largest seafood market in Korea. It has 7 floors total, with 3 underground parking levels :O On the last day, bcos I only had the morning available to do stuff, I had Busan fish cake for breakfast & strolled in BIFF Square again.
*Note: I actually hit all the things on my itinerary EXCEPT for the Busan Museum of Art, which was closed on Mondays =( but the security guy let me in to see the lobby bcos he knew I was a tourist. Thank you!
Day 13-17: Flew from Busan Airport to Jeju Airport. I used more time than needed for the whole process- turned out foreigners have their own line at the Busan Airport, so it’s faster than locals. There’s also a domestic terminal & international terminal, so from arrival to being checked in & through security.. . it took less than 25mins. It was great! In regards to Jeju, I did the following:
- stayed in Jeju City for the arrival afternoon/evening, with my hotel being Astar Hotel. Had a street food dinner at Dongmun Market; they were having this night market/festival event so a bunch of street food stalls were open from 7pm-midnight. Smelled like heaven haha
- I did my 1st hike ever on Hallasan Mountain, specifically the Gwaneunsa Trail, & I reached the peak. It was.. . hard. I can’t say I particularly enjoyed it; however, it has proven to me that I am a land person, & I belong in museums, cafes, & street walking lol. Look up the details of the trail! Was it ambitious of me to go on this for my 1st hike ever. .. without any hiking gear? I went with what some ppl would consider gym shoes, a hoodie, leggings, & a backpack with water, juice, kimbaps, 2 bananas, 6 mandarins, & some snacks (cheese crisps & pineapple cream-flavoured crackers).
- The day after the hike, my legs were still okay. But it was my glut that was starting to get sore XD I went to Osulloc Tea Museum & Innisfree Jeju House. The aesthetics <3
- Went to Black Pig Street for black pig bbq. I was hoping a restaurant or two was taking solo-diners & thankfully, the 2nd restaurant I asked did! I ordered pork neck instead of pork belly - it was quite tender & kinda chewy, actually. Later that evening, I went to the Tamra Cultural Festival 2019. It was neat~ There was an outdoor night market, as well as a stage for cultural dance/play/music.
- Jeju Island is actually quite small, & it takes approx. an hour from 1 side of the island to the other side. Thus, for my 3rd (full) day, I went to the Jungmun (Jeju City is north of the island; Jungmun is south coast) & visited the Yellow Cafe, Chocolate Land, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, & Yeomiji Botanical Garden.
- From Jungmun, I took a local bus to Lee Jong Seop Street in Seogwipo, the next city over. The street is very pleasant & chill, with artwork along the street, coffeeshops & eateries, as well as little gift shops. Totally my thing! It reminds me Bukchon Hanok Village in terms of vibe, but minus the traditional housing look. The Seogwipo Olle Market is nearby, & is a great place to buy Jeju souvenirs. The pricing, I heard/read, is cheaper than Dongmun Market in Jeju City - it is true! There are also less tourists here, which was what made it enjoyable for me, personally.
- Only the morning on my last day was free for activities bcos my flight to Seoul was early afternoon. I visited the area around Jeju City Hall, which was ~20min walk from my hotel. It was a very leisurely morning, where I sat down & enjoyed coffee at Coffee Finder & had a build-your-own-ramen bowl at a place nearby. The architecture of Coffee Finder was unique; it used to be a 2-floor house, with like a driveway/sidewalk. But the ummm first floor ceiling/second floor flooring was knocked down so there’s a “hole” in the middle of the cafe. The cafe has very homely vibes as the placement of tables/chairs are in what was (at one point) rooms of the house. It’s open but also you can get some privacy at the same time.
Day 17-18: Back to Seoul, & stayed at Namsan Hill Hotel~ Itaewon is a must! I need to go to Passion 5 every time lol. & I also revisited the Leeum Samsung Museum of Art bcos I like it. & then I had my last day as a “free” day, where I didn’t plan ANYTHING. I’m a very intense planner & when I go on trips, I literally plan to the minute haha & guess what, I ended up in Hongdae. Honestly, it’s my kinda place. Sadly, the transportation situation there isn’t convenient for the rest of my itinerary, or else I would choose a hotel that’s in the vicinity. I nearly spent 2.5 hrs at Coin Su Noraebang haha I realized that if you score high enough, time gets added to your paid time :O I can’t let that go to waste =P
There ya go, Korea 2019!
PS: I haven’t decided what/how I’m gonna go about posting my trip. .. There are wayyyy too many photos & it will take me a million yrs to write/upload. Perhaps expect unexpected Korea posts scattered between my regular posts :P I will, however, share with you the coffees I’ve had in Korea. I tried diff ones, from franchise to small local cafes, adventurous flavours & the typical black Americano. I didn’t have any poor experiences but there was 1 particular one that I will likely never order again - tbh, I should’ve expected it but I still went for it anyway *shrugs* so I guess it was all my fault haha ok, I’ll ttyl~!

A Father’s Love - Chapter Four
Masterlist | Requests are open.
Genre: Angst, fluff, smut.
Genre of this part: Fluff, smut.
Word Count: 3.5k.
Summary: Single father, Namjoon, struggles to keep his idol life and his private life separate. When he meets you, everything changes.
Warnings: semi-public sex, fingering, unprotected sex, studio sex, fluffy sex on his sofa.
Namjoon's life, as you'd come to figure out, was dictated by a small digital screen that would send alerts to him telling him what his plans were for the day. His calendar app, along with his favourite music app, were the only two squares on his phone that hadn't been put into a folder for the neat aesthetic. And the chance for him to put a selca of himself and his son as a wallpaper and be able to see it whenever he unlocked his phone, of course. But, Tuesdays and Fridays were your nights. Nights where, regardless of distance or business, time was set aside for the both of you to hang out. Three of the four days dedicated solely to you, you also shared Namjoon with Haneul. Not that you minded, given that, even when he threw tantrums, he was the sweetest boy alive. A trait he must have inherited from his father.
This Friday, however, it seemed to just be you and Namjoon, favouring a date at the cinema for... a date in his studio.
"___, I'm so sorry." He said frantically over the phone. "I didn't want to cancel on you, I really didn't. It's just we're planning a comeback in the spring and a comeback requires an album and an album needs writing and I'm already so behind as it is."
"Lack of inspiration or lack of time?" You'd asked trying to cheer him up.
"It's certainly not lack of inspiration," he told you, "I seem to have found myself a new muse."
"Oh smooth, Joonie. Smooth." You giggled.
"Yeah, next door's cat is really soft and squishy. I think I'm in love, ___. That calico... man. It really gets me, you know?"
"Sure it does. Just... out of curiosity... what kind of takeout do you prefer? Italian, Indian or Chinese?"
Namjoon chuckled. "Curiosity killed the cat you know."
"If that thing dies, you can't hold me responsible for it! I won't be blamed for the fall of Bangtan Sonyeon-whatever it is you youngsters call yourselves these days."
You'd come to learn, in the past week or so, that Namjoon's band was a lot more successful than you thought it was. Turns out you had seen Namjoon's face around before, and you did know who he was. But for some reason your brain didn't twig that your Namjoon was international pop/rap sensation... Rap Monster... of BTS. You'd even listened to some of his music before, and enjoyed it a lot. Not that you'd be able to call yourself part of Army or anything. When you learnt about this, you simply shrugged your shoulders and just let it skate over your head, something that surprised Namjoon. No one had ever been this indifferent to his career before, yet there you were, snuggling up to him on the couch, playing with his son's hair absent-mindedly as the Korean dubbed version of Disney Pixar's Cars played on the television. Namjoon really tried not to get attached to you. He honestly tried his hardest. He'd seen all the problems his dongsaengs had gone through whenever they'd even breathed in the same direction as a woman, and knew that if the press ever got wind of you, things would change for the worse. Thankfully, his previous relationship and his son were able to remain in the dark. For five years he'd managed to separate his family and his work, and he was proud of himself for that. But times were changing. He wasn't as in the spotlight then as he was now. But despite knowing all of this, he still found his heart swelling every time he looked at you and Haneul playing, or laughing, or just getting along perfectly. It seemed almost too good to be true.
"As long as there's lots and lots of meat, jagi, I'm fine with anything."
Jagi. The Korean term for sweetheart. A term you never thought you'd hear in regards to you, but there it was. The first time he'd called you that and you loved it instantly. You smiled to yourself brightly, thankful that your pathetic appearance wasn't caught by God's best creation so he could tease you about it later on.
You followed his sister's directions to the Big Hit building, where Namjoon's studio was, holding the bags of takeout in your hands. South Korea, Seoul especially, was known for its amazing takeout delivery service, and how, even if you were sat on the banks of the Han River, their drivers would find you and deliver your favourite meal. But there was something about carrying your food back to wherever it was you were eating that reminded you of your childhood, and you'd always prefer suffering the cold noodles, or fries, for the feeling of charging in from the harsh weather and declaring that your bollocks had frozen off from the storm. Which is what you did as soon as you burst through the door of MonStudio and shook the cold off your body, plopping the copious amounts of food down on the tiny, black sofa at the back of the room. Or was it the front? You couldn't tell really.
Namjoon turned around and his expression changed from downright annoyance to shock. Clearly you were the last person he expected to see, despite the fact that you'd flat out asked him what his favourite takeout was. For someone who's IQ was so high, he was so slow in social situations. A trait you found more endearing than annoying. At least for the time being.
"You didn't tell me what you preferred, so I just brought everything." You announced proudly, removing your outerwear and staring at the bags of food. "The light pink bag is Indian, the paper bag is pizza and a bit of pasta, the white bag is our favourites from that BBQ we went to a couple of weeks ago and this," you held up an even larger paper bag with an instantly recognisable, bright yellow logo in the shape of a curvy M, "is filled with nothing but saturated fats and heart disease in a bag but if I'm gonna go, it'll be at the hands of a Big Mac and fries larger than my head."
Namjoon laughed, stood and walked behind you so he could wrap his long arms around your waist. "You are too good to be true." He rested his chin on your shoulder and swayed the both of you gently.
"Wait until you get to know me." You joked. He kissed your shoulder. "Now," you tapped his hands that were linked and resting on your tummy, "are you going to eat this food? Or are you just going to let it sit there and grease your sofa as it gets colder and colder?"
He grabbed hold of some bags. "Come with me, we'll eat in the kitchen."
You watched Namjoon walk out of his studio and down the little corridor. "There's a kitchen?" You asked, following him.
There was, in fact, a kitchen. A big one. Overwhelmingly grey and a mixture of homey and canteen-y. The kitchen units weren't too dissimilar to yours, save for the fact that they were newer and didn't have a weird brown stain on them that was there when you moved in and was stubborn enough to not move. Three of the four walls were basically glass, looking out onto the hustle and bustle of Gangnam's nightlife, and in front of each table was a row of grey, smooth tables that resembled modern picnic benches.
You heard the familiar buzz of a microwave whirring to life and your heart sang. You set the bagged food on one of the counters and stared at Namjoon with a soft look in your eyes. "You have a microwave. You're so domestic."
Namjoon laughed. "Please, using a microwave and a kettle is about the only thing I can do in the kitchen."
"Oh. Well, there goes all my hopes and dreams of marrying you then."
"We've found your deal breaker."
"We have indeed. Enjoy your food, I'm off to marry a chef."
"Who's going to break this news to Haneul?"
You came storming back into the kitchen after your dramatic exit. "No! We're only two weeks into this. You can't start emotionally manipulating me using your child!"
When the food had all been warmed, you chose one of the tables in the middle of the largest window and set up camp there, laying all the food out neatly with the proper utensils so you could grab and munch. The conversation never died. It always seemed to flow so easily with Namjoon. When you weren't joking, you were having serious conversations with each other and just generally enjoying each other's company.
While Namjoon threw away the now, completely empty, takeout packets, you took it upon yourself to wash up the plates and the cutlery you all use. You didn't hear Namjoon return, all you felt was his arms snake and lock around your waist again, this time a little tighter than before. His lips immediately went to your shoulder, peppering light kisses on it before leading up to your ear. You could feel the atmosphere had changed from before. There was something heavy hanging over you, and it wasn't Namjoon.
"Someone's affectionate." You commented.
He just hummed in response to you, continuing to kiss your hair and hold you from behind. As you turned to look at him over your shoulder, his lips caught yours in a gentle kiss that soon turned into more. His tongue was in your mouth, his hands turning you so you were facing him and your arse pressed up against the counter, pinned there by his body. You could feel his cock growing the more heated the kiss got, the tighter his grip on you became. You couldn't catch your breath. You felt like you'd been running a marathon in the hottest of weathers. Every touch of his skin on yours burned into you and melted straight into your soul. Every lick of his tongue sent electricity into your veins, resurrecting anything dead within you and bringing it to the youth of life.
He pushed you further into the counter, forcing you to sit yourself up onto it and spread your legs, allowing him to slot in between them like a puzzle piece. Your clothed centre was now level with his, and it rubbed deliciously against yours until.
BANG.
"Fuck!"
Namjoon doubled over in pain.
"What happened!?"
"Ah shit, I came in too quickly and whacked my knee on the cupboard."
You laughed. "Namjoon!"
"Don't laugh at me. I'm in pain." He came back in closer to you, much slower this time, and started kissing you again. His lips were attached to your neck this time, though.
"Shame you didn't hit your dick. I would have kissed it better for you."
Namjoon stopped kissing you, and lifted his head so he could look into your eyes. His brown ones, hooded and full of lust, were hiding the cogs turning in his brain. He put his hand over his crotch. "Ow! I hit my dick too! Ow it hurts!"
"Well, I'm certainly not doing it now that you're faking it."
Namjoon smirked. "Fine. I had other plans for you, anyway."
You wanted to ask him what those plans were, but his lips stopped you from speaking. His hands travelled up your jeans and made quick work at pulling them halfway down your thighs. He kissed your neck, tongue licking at your skin. You almost forgot where his hands were until you felt them dip into your panties and start rubbing your clit with his thumb, causing you to moan out loud. Much louder than you anticipated, actually, shocking the both of you as your noise bounced off the walls. He added pressure, rubbing a little faster and watching your face as he did, a shit-eating grin on his lips and his pupils blown out. This was the first time you were seeing him like this, this whole other side of him that you didn't even imagine was there. He'd always seemed so soft before. And you certainly didn't expect –
"Fuck! Namjoon." You couldn't control the noises coming out of your mouth as he slipped two of his longest fingers into you're your incredibly wet hole. He tapped up straight away, and began a relentless pace making you squelch beneath him, his palm grazing your clit in a repeated manner, adding that extra layer of euphoria. You watched his face as he continued to pleasure you, you saw how he was almost mimicking your expressions, but in a taunting way. As if he was telling you that it was him making you feel this good. This sudden cockiness was so alluring, and despite how awkward you would have felt with any other man, you couldn't tear your eyes away.
He could feel you getting tighter around his fingers, he could hear how laboured your breathing had become. He knew you were close. "You gonna cum for me, angel?" He asked. You nodded, completely helpless beneath him.
"Namjoon-ah?"
Your head immediately snapped to the wall a few feet away, where, behind it, was the door to the kitchen that you'd forgotten to close when you entered. That voice that shouted Namjoon's name was deep, and certainly wasn't yours. You thought you were alone in the building but apparently not.
"Suga-hyung?" Namjoon replied, completely unphased and unrelenting. You covered your mouth in an attempt to stop your whimpers, but all it did was soften them. You were too close to remain completely quiet, and Namjoon was determined to get you there.
"Where are you?" The voice asked.
"In the kitchen." You could hear the footsteps coming towards you. Your eyes widened. "Cum, angel." Namjoon ordered. You felt his fingers move faster. It was only a matter of time. 'Suga' was only a few meters away at this point and your orgasm was on the brink of tearing you in two.
Coming.
Coming....
Your hands gripped into Namjoon's shoulders as you came, holding your breath and shutting your eyes tightly. You could feel him everywhere, inside you, around you. All you could smell was him, hear was his breathing. Your brain was complete mush, not processing what needed to be done as you were coming back to reality. With his one, dry hand, he was tugging your jeans back up your leg, begging you silently to come to your senses, which you did when you heard Suga's whistling. While Namjoon washed his hands frantically in the sink, you hopped off the counter and pulled your jeans back up, only finishing zipping them as the man walked in the room.
He was short, and stopped moving as soon as he saw you. He was confused. "Hyung, this is ___. ___, this is Min Yoongi, a housemate and member of my band."
"Oh." You replied. "It's nice to meet you!"
"You too." Yoongi answered. "So you're the infamous ___. It's bad enough that Haneul bangs on about you but Namjoon literally doesn't stop talking about you. You seem to have infiltrated the hearts of the Ilsan Kim's." He started to pour himself a coffee.
"I hope he hasn't been getting on your nerves too much." You joked.
"He always does. You'll get used to it." He smiled, flashing you both an adorable gummy smile. His eyes never left Namjoon though, and sparkled with a glint of mischief. "Oh, and uh, next time you two want to fuck, please make sure you don't do it where we all eat. It stinks of sex in here. Have a nice night."
As he left, you could hear him chuckling to himself. Namjoon's face had turned bright red, and when you both locked eyes with one another you burst out into laughter. You were so embarrassed but at the same time you still felt this pull to Namjoon, despite the interruptions. So, you wrapped your arms around his waist, pulled him towards you, and whispered, "maybe we should finish this in the studio?"
"You read my mind."
You could barely keep your hands off one another on your way back to Namjoon's studio, your lips meeting every so often and your back pressed up against the wall as his tongue slipped down your throat. By the time you were in his studio, both your shirts were off, and were thrown to one side the minute you stepped inside, and your jeans had been unbuttoned and unzipped and were being tugged off your legs by you as Namjoon shut the door. You both fell on his sofa, his crotch rubbing against your soaked underwear as he kissed you again for the millionth time that night. His hands roamed the entire length of your body, only to pull your panties off you. He stopped and rolled his eyes. "Shit!"
"What?"
"I don't have any condoms in my studio."
"Are you clean?"
"Yeah."
"Good. Me too."
"Are you suggesting...?"
"Just get inside me, Joon." You demanded. Your ankles were pushing into his clothed ass, pulling him closer to you. You needed him inside you just as much as he needed to be inside you. He undone his jeans and pulled his cock out. He was too wound up to pull the rest of his clothes off properly, he just wanted to feel you.
"Tell me if you ever feel uncomfortable."
You nodded and waited for that sweet burn. You knew he would stretch you out so good, and you were right. Eye contact remained as he started to push into you, stretching your walls as he intruded, not fast enough to really hurt you, but fast enough for his impatience to be kept at bay. Within seconds, he'd bottomed out, his eyes had rolled back into his head and he'd groaned so loudly, you were grateful for the soundproof room. His voice wasn't the only one filling the room, as you whimpered at the feel of his length really hitting all the best places, despite the fact he'd not even begun to fuck you yet.
He'd wanted this since he met you. Maybe not quite as rushed as this, and way more romantic. In his bed, candles everywhere, R&B in the background as he literally made love to you. But on his sofa in his studio was good enough at the time. His head fell to your chest, still caged in your bra.
"You can move, Joon."
"I can't. I'll cum if I move."
You giggled, scratching at his scalp. He pulled out, then pushed back in gently making you both groan. "Fuck." He cursed. He did it again, his head still buried in his chest. This time, his thrust back inside you was harder, and they kept getting harder until you were practically tearing the couch with your nails trying to grip hold of something, anything, to tether you to reality.
His speed picked up, his moans got louder. He was, somehow, much louder than you, a feat you never thought anyone could achieve but there he was, pounding into you at a merciless rate and letting the whole world know what he was doing. Even when he kissed you, he was still groaning.
"You feel too damn good, f-fuck."
Your nails dug into his back as he made the sofa rock against the carpet. He sat back onto his knees so he could move into you faster. He gripped your waist and watched your hand snake down to your clit. He bit his lip at the sight in front of him, you, sprawled out in his studio, your hand on your pussy and his cock slamming into you. It was almost too much to bear. "That's it, angel." He praised. "Touch yourself for me. Fuck. You look so good right now."
A thin sheen of sweat coated his entire body. His brows furrowed. He looked like a living piece of art. Overwhelmed, you began to shake, tightening around him accidentally, making him lose his mind.
"You... have to cum... first." He said.
It didn't take you long to do as he said, your second orgasm hitting you like a double decker bus. You screamed as your fingers moved faster against your clit in an attempt to keep up with both Namjoon's cock and your own orgasm. And, as you were finishing, Namjoon pulled out, shooting his release all over your tummy with his lip in between his teeth and an animalistic growl erupting from his throat.
Breathing. That was all you could hear in the studio as the two of you recovered. Namjoon collapsed at the opposite end of the sofa, his hands running through his hair and his lips bitten red raw. You felt cold, empty, but so incredibly satisfied.
When his legs had regained at least half of their strength, he walked over to the tissue box on his desk and wiped his cum off your skin. You didn't realise just how much there was of it until you actually sat up to watch him move. "I think you're even further behind with your work now." You commented.
Namjoon chuckled. "Worth every second."
He was so cheesy, even after almost destroying you. You could tell that this was going to be one hell of a relationship.

A weekend vacation to Jekyll Island
This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own. :)
Only a five hour drive from Atlanta, Zach and I hopped in the car with the dogs and headed to Jekyll Island for a long weekend getaway. Being our first time there, we used the Jekyll Island website to plan our trip. Although the island is small, it’s packed with plenty to do that will keep you going the whole time. It’s extremely clean, quiet (perhaps because we went before school let out for the summer), and one of the most dog friendly places I’ve ever been - woohoo!
We stayed in a spacious suite at the ocean-front Holiday Inn Resort. Our balcony overlooked the ocean so every morning we spent some time waking up to the sound of waves hitting the shore. The room came with two queen sized beds, a kitchenette (full-sized fridge, microwave, stove top, and sink), two tv’s, and the living room had pull-out couch. If cooking is more your vibe, this is the way to go. You won’t find any big-box grocery stores on the island, so you may want to bring some groceries with you. You can also pick up a variety of groceries and local provisions at the nearby Jekyll Market or hit a larger grocery story right before the entrance to the island. Parking was easy, and the property featured several gas fire pits, a kids’ playground, a gorgeous pool, cabana sitting areas, a coffee and martini bar, fitness center, several beach access points, bike rentals, and a dog-friendly restaurant called “Beach House” on site.
We are the type of people who like to stay active on vacation and bring our dogs as much as possible so we tried to fit in as much in as possible and adjusted as necessary considering there was a bit of rain for a few days while we were there. First on the list was taking our dogs to the beach! It was drizzling when we got in on Friday afternoon but after we settled in we took the dogs out to the beach right outside of our hotel. They LOVED it and we ran up and down the beach with them. This was also the day we realized the tides change quite noticeably on the island which was unique to see.
Saturday was filled with sunshine so we hit up the Summer Waves Waterpark first thing in the morning and checked out all of the slides! That afternoon we ventured around Beach Village which is a small shopping center featuring several restaurants, shops, and Jekyll Market. Lastly we caught the beautiful sunset while exploring Driftwood Beach. This beach is dog-friendly and filled with the remains of fallen trees due to many years of erosion. It’s one of the most photogenic places we went and was voted one of America’s “Ten Most Romantic Beaches.”
Sunday stormed so our hotel lost power a few times so it was PERFECT that we had tickets to go behind- the- scenes at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Because they take care of animals, they have generators to continuously power the hospital. Although the general entry gives you an inside look at turtle care and is open rain or shine, I HIGHLY recommend the behind-the-scenes tour. We happened to be in the vet area when they brought in a turtle who needed blood work done which was incredible to witness! You also get to see where the food is kept, see the other turtles not out on public view, and ask all of the questions you want - it was truly an incredible thing to experience. During the lighter drizzle times, we walked around the Historic District admiring the beautiful historic buildings and large trees covered in Spanish Moss. That evening, when the weather had cleared up, we took a spontaneous sunset dolphin tour with hilarious husband-and-wife duo tour guides. We saw a ton of birds, learned all about the ecosystem of the island, learned a little history, and of course saw dolphins at sunset!
Knowing the weather on Monday was going to be incredibly sunny, but we had to check out by 11, we woke up early to take full advantage of the time we had left. We finally rented bikes and took advantage of the islands 25 miles of paved bike paths. These paths almost always keep you separate from the road allowing for you to venture out on a bike with the family in a very safe way. This made for a unique and beautiful way to see the island! Of course, we ended our trip with one last visit to the beach with the pups and said goodbye to a wonderful weekend getaway.
Below are a few bullet lists for dog friendly places, activities we did and didn’t do, and a few extra tips!
Although not a full list, here are a few dog friendly places that we visited while on Jekyll Island:
The Holiday Inn Resort
Oceanview Beach Park of the Holiday Inn Resort
Driftwood Beach
Walking through the beautiful Historic District
The expansive bike path is also shared by dog walkers and runners alike
Sunrise Grille Restaurant
Beach House Restaurant
Tortuga Jacks Mexican Restaurant
To note, there are plenty of other places to eat that have outside seating, but because they aren’t full service restaurants it would require you to either tie up your dog outside while you go in, or have an additional person to wait outside while you go inside to order. To name a few: all of the places inside of the Jekyll Market including Hibiscus Cafe, Boardwalk Deli, The Love Shack BBQ, and A Sweet Shop Named Sprinkles. Fuse for froyo, The Westin Cafe for Starbucks coffee, and Red Bug Motors Pizza and Pub. My recommendation is to call ahead if you aren’t sure.
Activities that kept us moving and a few others we didn’t get to:
Summer Waves Waterpark
Driftwood Beach
Biking
Georgia Sea Turtle Center
Dolphin tours
Stand-up Paddle Boarding/Kayaking
Mini golf and/or regular golf
Tennis
Mosaic, the Jekyll Island Museum
Horseback riding
A few extra tips:
Heads up, there is a parking pass that you must purchase when you first arrive.
Bring bug spray or purchase the local spray called “No Natz” found at several local stores.
Dogs must be leashed at all times and the leashes can’t be longer than 16ft. So happy about this so other people’s dogs can’t just come up to yours and cause a potentially dangerous situation.
Dogs are allowed on beaches except South Beach between South Dunes Picnic Area and 2,000' northeast of St. Andrews Sound Picnic Area, to protect nesting shore birds..
Be careful about walking out to the sand bars on the beach as the tide rolls in and out 8 feet every six and a half hours. Also, plan your beach visits accordingly as I had no clue about the tide and there are times when the water completely covers the sand. Mother Nature is so cool!
The water is not clear, but it’s not because of pollution. In fact, the water is very nutrient dense which allows for all of the thriving wildlife!
If you’re a fellow lover of Jekyll Island and have any recommendations that we missed, please leave them in the comments below so myself and others can enjoy during their next trip!
