seven supervillains and one (1) normie
You move in with seven normal, law-abiding housemates.
Here’s my piece for @obeymezine! Leftover sales are live till Dec 15th, so do consider supporting us since all proceeds will be going to charity :)
Lucifer looks even more handsome in person.
You find yourself paying more attention to him and the deep timbre of his voice than the tour of Serenity Manor and its rules. Only a firm call of your name snaps you back to the present.
“This will be your room,” he says, opening one last door for you to step through. It’s decently furnished with all the basic necessities and has an en suite to boot. How generous. “Is this to your satisfaction?”
“Oh absolutely, everything looks great!” You wheel your luggage into a corner and set your backpack down on the large study table. “I still can’t believe I got matched with you guys for the boarding program. Thank you so much for having me!”
“The pleasure is ours.” Lucifer gives you a polite nod. “Make yourself at home, and I will introduce you to my brothers tomorrow. We hope you’ll enjoy your stay here with us.”
.
.
.
“Surveillance systems are online,” Levi reports as all eyes watch you unpack on the screen. “Ugh, bugging rooms is so old school. It’s only the first day, I doubt there’ll be any suspicious activity.”
“And it better stay that way.” Satan’s already profiling you from your posters on the walls, your stuffed sheep on the bed, your clothes in the closet. No red flags yet, as far as he can discern.
“Pfft, what can one exchange student do to us?” Mammon scoffs. Your background check was clean, your documents checked out. In every practical sense, you were an ordinary postgraduate taking courses at the local university for a year. “Loosen up guys!”
Lucifer shoots him a glare indicating he has no intention of doing so. “No funny business. It’s unfortunate that we have to go undercover in our own home, but Elysium’s agents are on to us. We need to mask our activities and blend in, and we have no choice but to wait for them to leave. Until then, continue to follow Prince’s orders, but keep things low-key. Do I make myself clear?”
.
.
.
“—massive destruction of property at Settler’s factory premises. Witnesses say it was Gluttony in another one of his rampages, and this marks the fourth attack in…”
You glance towards a face-palming Lucifer at the breakfast table. “Is everything okay?”
“Yes, perfectly fine.” He smiles through gritted teeth and switches off the TV, silencing the news.
.
.
.
You have a few days before classes officially start, so you decide to take some time familiarizing yourself with the town. Lucifer has graciously agreed to escort you, along with one of his brothers.
“And that’s about it, really. Is there anywhere else you wanna go?” Belphie asks after they’ve given you a cursory tour. You mention wanting to return to the confectionery shop you passed by a while back, and he smirks. “Sure, but if you’re looking for Settler products, they might not have much stock.”
“That’s alright! They used to be one of my favorite brands you know, but then I found out they engaged in a lot of questionable business practices. It’s a shame really, I liked their stuff.”
Lucifer feels his work phone vibrating in his pocket all of a sudden and curses mentally. What could Barbatos possibly want at this moment? “Apologies, I… have to use the washroom,” he excuses himself in a hurry, discreetly signaling Belphie to cover for him before running off.
Almost half an hour passes with no Lucifer in sight.
“He’s been gone for a while. Should we go and check up on him?” You ask worriedly.
“Nah, it’s fine.” Belphie sniggers. “He usually takes really long shits anyway. Let’s just go. He’ll catch up eventually.”
Lucifer meets you back in the manor at the end of the day, and you miss the dirty look he sends Belphie behind your back after you recommend some home remedies for treating diarrhea.
.
.
.
“Satan, I need some advice!” The blond follows your voice to the kitchen and freezes when he sees you holding his collection of hunting knives. For gutting people, not cutting meat. “I’m making lunch. Which of these are for fruits and vegetables?”
This is why Lucifer always nags us about picking up our toys, Satan realizes belatedly. Fuck, he probably left them out on the couch or something. At least he’d remembered to clean off the blood first. “Those aren’t for cooking. They’re for, uh, self-defense.” Idiot, is that the best you could come up with? There’s no way it’ll—
“Oh, I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have assumed.” You gasp and quickly return the knives to him. “One of my old roommates used to sleep with a dagger under their pillow, though I personally prefer to keep a baseball bat next to my bed. Besides, didn’t some rich politician get murdered in his own house just recently? The manor seems secure and you guys have Cerberus, but better safe than sorry I guess.”
Satan is still reeling from your sheer obliviousness, but he knows better than to look a gift horse in the mouth. “I completely agree,” he says with a poker face.
.
.
.
Mammon’s Lexura is a sight to behold, but you’re more interested in how fast she can go.
“Oi, I know you’re worried about your friend but keep your oily fingers to yourself, you hear?” He grumbles, opening the garage door for you and Beel to enter. “Which mall was it again?”
“The one with Bullseye,” you reply distractedly, furiously tapping away on your phone. “I can’t believe she and her girlfriend got harassed in public. You only read stories about this happening to other people online. What kind of fucked up organization calls themselves a charity and— Shit!”
You trip on something and drop your phone. It bounces and skids under Mammon’s car, but Beel instinctively steps forward before you can even react. With one arm, he tilts the vehicle just enough for you to duck under and retrieve it.
“Wow, thanks so much Beel!” You dust your phone off and check for cracks on the screen while Mammon sweats buckets behind you. “You gotta share your workout routine with me sometime. Hey, do you mind coming along and being our muscle for the day?”
“Okay.” Beel agrees easily, and you pump your fists.
.
.
.
“—worth millions. The curator declined to comment…”
“This is crazy, I was there just last week!” You exclaim while chewing on your dinner. “The museum had lots of cool stuff on display. Mostly illegally imported, if you catch my drift, but not anymore huh?”
Asmo winks at you. “What a shame. You could have seen Lust in action first-hand.”
“Aren’t heists supposed to be discreet? He is pretty good-looking though, I’ll give him that.”
“Is he prettier than me?” The entire table goes deathly silent as you squint between Asmo’s fluttering eyelashes and the masked supervillain on the TV screen. “Don’t you think he’d look better with a boob window?”
“…Nah, he doesn’t have the tiddies to pull it off.” Your gaze unconsciously flickers to Beel’s chest. “Plus the butts don’t match. Yours is flatter.”
Asmo’s jaw drops in mock outrage. “Honey, have you been checking me out? How very scandalous of you~”
“Enough, please.” Lucifer sighs amidst your spluttering.
.
.
.
“That’s it. We’re screwed, our cover is blown. I knew this was a bad idea…”
“Let’s just resort to good ol’ fashioned murder and then frame it as a runaway case. No one will ever know!”
“This manor is a fortress located in the safest part of town. What the fuck do you think people will presume there is to run from?”
“There were a couple of close calls, but I think we’re still in the clear.” Beel recalls you quoting your statistics professor after an extended period of time where one of them would come home late the night before a major news event: correlation does not imply causation.
“Need I remind all of you, it was our proposal to join the boarding program as a front. Prince approved it himself, and I won’t allow us to back out now.”
“Shut up, Lucifer. Don’t you have any politicians to assassinate?” Belphie sneers.
“We will see this through.” Lucifer refuses to budge, ever the prideful bastard. “We’re still safe, but keep your guards up. Understood?”
.
.
.
The kitchen is pitch black this time of night, but Levi’s had years to figure out a way around without alerting anyone he’s back.
“I hate on-site jobs,” he grumbles to himself. “What kind of company doesn’t have remote access to their servers nowadays? Let’s see how they like it when people steal and sell their private data instead, muahahaha— Eek!”
“Hmm? Levi?” You stifle a yawn and shuffle towards the rack of cups. “Why’re you up at this hour?”
Levi is still blinking away the spots in his vision from the sudden onslaught of light when you flipped the switch. He pales as you stare at his costume and equipment on the counter. “Wait, it’s not what it looks like—”
“Late con, huh? Must have been fun. You were still in character there. Heheh.” You pour yourself a glass of water. “Nice cosplay by the way. G’night.”
“G-goodnight!” Levi waits to hear the sound of your door closing before wheezing hysterically in relief.
.
.
.
You sigh blissfully under the weight of four cats lounging on various parts of your body. “I’ll admit I had my doubts at first, but this is exactly what I needed. Thank you.”
“My pleasure.” Satan takes a long sip of his tea while petting the snoozing tabby on his lap. He looks like one of those criminal masterminds in the movies. “Visiting cat shelters is the best way to unwind after a long week. And don’t worry, I have it on good authority that this one actually takes proper care of our furry friends.”
“That’s reassuring to hear! I’ll never understand why anyone would want to hurt these precious babies.” A little calico wanders near your face and boops your nose with its toe beans. “If only all shelters could be as noble as this one. Remind me to stop by the donation box before we leave!”
“Gladly. Speaking of donations, remember that charity group that messed with your friends? I heard someone stole every last penny from their funds and now they’re on the verge of insolvency. Truly, this is karma at work.”
“Schadenfreude!” You cheer before the two of you clink cups and drink.
.
.
.
“Hey, you’ve been in there for a while now. Do you need— Oh.”
“Belphie!” You grin at him sheepishly and fidget with your rubber gloves. “I’m sorry, I’m really bad at this. My old dorm had a janitor, so I’ve never been assigned toilet duty before…”
“No wonder. You’d be dead in minutes if you kept this up,” Belphie snaps, quickly moving the unopened bottle of bleach away from you. “Mixing cleaning products is a sure-fire way to poison yourself.”
You wince at his harsh tone, and Belphie’s expression softens in sympathy.
“Here, I’ll teach you.” And then he proceeds to detail exactly what chemicals are in each product, which combinations produce different kinds of fumes with varying levels of toxicity, how to make odorless gasses that can kill a man in seconds—
“Why’d you stop?” You protest when Belphie abruptly cuts himself off. He’s probably feeling embarrassed about oversharing. “This is super informational. I’d be dead without you!”
“…Right.” He blinks, nonplussed. “You’re welcome, or whatever. Just stay away from the bleach, okay?”
.
.
.
Mammon shuffles the deck with deft hands and explains the rules. “You play as an Elysium agent of your choice, and your goal is to defeat the mob boss terrorizing the city: Jesús Iglesias Ken. The game can be competitive or cooperative depending on which rules we follow, but I say we do competitive mode and bet on the winner!”
“Ugh, shaddup Mammon!” Levi groans while you set up the board and pieces.
“Now, for the characters! We have Kid, a tiny chihuahua of an agent who has lots of good buffs from the sweets he eats. Director, who can move other players during his turn; but don’t get fooled by his smile. He can be super scary sometimes! Spear, man that guy packs a punch. He’s a damage dealer with shitty taste buds.”
Too busy paying attention to Mammon, you don’t see the way Levi makes throat-slitting gestures and mouths SHUT UP SHUT UP STUPIDMAMMON—
“There are also NPCs like Sorcerer, who can help or hinder you depending on your actions, shady bastard. And Aristocrat, who’s on the villain’s side and a total bootlicker, but he gives valuable intel for the right price.”
“How do you know all of this? I don’t see it in the rule book.” You scan the character description section intently. “Don’t tell me… You’re secretly a fan!”
Mammon chokes, finally catching on to Levi’s signals. Both of them exchange wide-eyed looks before forcibly grinning at you. “Yeah, totally, I’m a fan! Hahaha…”
“What a nerd, right?” Levi laughs nervously. “Anyway, this game is more fun with more players, so let’s just play something else for now, okay? Okay.”
.
.
.
“I’ve got reports that Elysium’s agents are finally moving out. We should be cleared to resume normal operations soon.”
“Our plan worked like a charm! Ooh, we’re so close~”
“Good job, everyone.” Lucifer nods with a satisfied smile. “This will all be over shortly. And just in time too. A year’s almost up.”
Everyone falls silent as their thoughts drift to you. It’ll be quiet without you around; you may not have been the sharpest tool in the shed, but you were always kind and genuine with all of them. It goes without saying that they’ll definitely miss you once you’re gone.
“We should stay in touch,” Mammon proposes suddenly, looking none of his brothers in the eye. “Y’know, to keep tabs and make sure we weren’t compromised or anything. See things through to the end and all that.”
For once, nobody objects to Mammon’s idea. “Indeed,” Lucifer murmurs in approval.
.
.
.
“I’ll be on campus studying for my ethics finals. See you all at dinner!”
You set up camp at your favorite corner: a little nook in the section of the library that’s perpetually empty. Just as you make yourself comfortable and open your laptop, someone pings you with an encrypted message.
Grinning to yourself, you easily bypass Levi’s embedded spyware and open up a private channel to take the call. “Barb, it’s so good to hear from you!”
“Good afternoon.” A polished voice greets you from the speakers, and you quickly plug in your headphones to prevent eavesdropping. “Apologies for the disturbance, but I have the data you requested.”
“Thanks Barbatos. You really are the best AI I’ve ever created!”
“I am the only AI you’ve ever created, but the sentiment is acknowledged. Did your side project go well?”
“Always so humble, haha! And yes, it went wonderfully! It’s so good to finally meet the brothers face-to-face. They’re such a lively bunch!”
“I concur. Back to business: the up-and-coming cosmetics company you asked me to look into? It turns out your hunch was right; I’ve found evidence that they rely heavily on animal testing for their products.”
“A job for Belphie then. He’ll know how to put those chemicals to better use.”
“Of course. On a separate note, another political party has been pushing for…”

Carina Gives Birth (Maya x Carina Birth Imagine)
Tumblr media
Age Rating: 12+
Chapters: One of Two
Fandom: Station 19
Ship: Maya Bishop x Carina DeLuca
Canon Episode: After Series Finale
AN: Happy Pride guys! For the last day of this pride month I wanted to do something special and what’s more special than the miracle of life? I’m doing two chapters of this; one will have Carina giving birth and the next will have Maya in the birthing room. Enjoy you guys and let me know what you think down below!
Summary: Carina gives birth to her and Maya’s daughter with Maya by her side who is supportive through all of it.
Words: 1795
January 24, 2024
Maya leans against the door frame of the hospital room in the OB floor of Grey Sloan tormented while her wife is inside having their baby. Despite being an OB herself Carina denied the epidural preferring to release natural oxytocin through pleasure. The reason Maya is outside is because Carina ordered her out of the room so she can do this herself.
The blonde firefighter doesn’t know if she should be offended or grateful to be excluded out of this private moment. Nevertheless, she is nervous as it is as she waits for Carina to be more relaxed and fully dilated so she can give birth to their baby girl and there will be light at the end of this dark tunnel.
Her red hoodie is soaked with sweat, and she flexes her hands compulsively at her sides, the urge to run from her problems is strong but she knows she doesn’t want to miss one moment of this. Besides if she ran Carina would find her and kill her.
“Do you want me to get you anything?” Andrew asks quietly and Maya realizes her brother-in-law came up from the hallway to stand next to her, “Water, coffee…a shot of vodka?”
Maya chuckles at her sympathetic brother knowing he’s been here before her with his wife Amber two years ago. She can only imagine how stressed he was and how agitated Amber got by the minute. She thinks it was a miracle he made it out in one piece.
“I’m fine. Carina is in there…trying to relieve the pain naturally.”
Andrew holds up his hand, “Say no more I’ve learned all about that from my very informative and shameless sister. Other than that, how’s it going?”
“Well, I’m gonna be a mother again and the key to achieving our yearlong dream is to put up with my angry and hormonal wife.” Maya purses her lips, “Maybe I should have carried this one instead. Speaking of which, how’s Liam?”
Before they drove to the hospital Maya and Carina dropped off their son, Liam, at his uncle Andrew’s and aunt Amber’s.
“He’s good.” Andrew says assuring, “He and Lucy were playing plush armies with Amber when I left. He was smiling the whole time; I think he already knows he’s gonna be a big brother soon.”
Maya smiles, “God I hope those two are close growing up. It’s not the case with me and my brother but I’ve learned that poison is not genetic, so I am hopeful.”
Andrew grins at Maya patting her back in comfort, “Well you’re already raising one great kid and he’s gonna be a great big brother. Besides Amber read from the books that siblings entertain each other because they have someone their age to play with. I mean look at me and Carina. We had each other and we both ended up great.”
Maya chuckles clearly teasing Deluca who smirks, “Generally speaking and the way we grew up I would say I’m right. So, I think your good on the sibling’s front.”
“Thanks for that I needed to hear it.” Maya exhales and furrows her eyebrows at the mention of Amber’s latest reading topic, “Wait why is Amber reading about raising two kids? Are you guys…?”
Andrew shakes his head vehemently, “No god no Lucy is a handful as it is, and Amber is starting to hear back from the fellowships she applied for.”
“But?”
“But she’s entertaining the idea and wants to wait till Lucy is older.”
Maya smiles at the news of possibly being an aunt again, “Wow for all of her complaining Amber isn’t shy on doing all of that again.”
Andrew shrugs, “Well she grew up with two brothers and I grew up with a sister, so it was a given for us to want Lucy to have that too.”
“Well, hey maybe you can let it slip to Amber that Maya is a good name for a girl.” Andrew chuckles at that, “Or Bishop if there’s a Y chromosome.”
Andrew winces, “She already claimed both her brothers' names if we have a boy.”
“Just keep it in mind.”
“Will do.”
“Maya!”
Carina’s agonized cries cut off their conversation as Maya and their OB, Linda Perez, rush back inside. Maya immediately stands by her wife’s side. Carina’s face is drenched with sweat and twisted with pain. The towering belly over her contracts causing Carina to scream in agony and Maya can only soothe her with words.
“Breathe, let it out you’re doing so great.” Maya turns to Linda who is doing a pelvic exam on Carina and needs to get answers, “What’s going on?”
“Your wife is fully dilated, and the baby is crowning she needs to push.”
Maya is shocked at how fast the labor progressed, “Already?”
“Sometimes in the case of geriatric pregnancies the time can-”
“Did you just say geriatric?!” Carina asks their OB offended with Maya standing by scared to step in.
Linda is scared as well and tries to mend her words, “It’s just the term Dr. DeLuca you know it.”
“Of course, I know it I am asking you not to make this so much worse for me!” Carina groans again.
Linda gets back to business, “Okay Dr. DeLuca I want you to give me a big push, okay? Can you do that?”
Carina shudders and looks at Maya, “I don’t know if I can, this is all happening so fast, what if I can’t do this?”
Maya stays calm and looks down at her wife with tenderness as caresses her hair back, “Yes you can, you can do this I know you can. You always say that to all of your patients and now it’s your turn.”
Carina groans, “I am amazed none of have punched me when I told them that as they were experiencing a world of pain I’m feeling right now!”
Maya chuckles, “Hey listen to me look at me.” Carina looks at Maya with tears in her eyes clearly scared, “It’s scary now, it’s scary for both of us, but in the end, we won’t even remember how scared we were once this baby comes out. Our daughter is gonna come and it’ll be so wonderful for both us and it’ll make all of this so worth it.”
Carina sniffles at that slightly calmer as Maya continues, “You told me that when I was on the fence of having kids and I am so glad you did because I wouldn’t be here with you about to expand our family. You did that for me, and I want you to do something for me again. I want you to push so that we can meet our daughter and take her home with us so we can raise our two kids and love them for the rest of our lives. Can you do that?”
Carina sighs and nods, “Yes.”
Linda once again orders Carina to push and she does so with Maya right next to her smoothing her hair back as she screams. Carina grabs Maya’s hand and holds it as she pushes again this time using all of her strength as Maya yells out words of encouragement while Carina holds her hand with alarming strength. And then it happened in an instant.
Carina’s pants stop as they hear a baby’s weak cries from the end of the bed. They look to see Linda holding their bloody and wriggling daughter already crying in the OB’s arms. Linda cleans the baby and wraps her in a blanket. Carina’s past aggression has shifted into laughs of joy accompanied by tears at finally seeing her dream come true. Linda puts the baby in Carina’s arms and the Italian woman greets their daughter.
“Ciao bambina, erano le tue mama’s.” Carina kisses the top of her crying daughter’s head overcome with so much love.
Meanwhile Maya is frozen with shock as she looks at the little girl in front of her stunned by what she helped made and how beautiful it all turned out.
“Do you want to cut the cord mommy?” Linda asks with a smile, holding the scissors out to her.
Maya snaps out of it long enough to smile, grab the scissors and cut the umbilical cord. After that she sits next to Carina on the bed crooning over their daughter who has calmed down. Carina sees her wife behind her and can see the love in her eyes as they glisten with tears.
Carina coos at the baby girl wrapped in a blanket, “Here bambina your mama wants to see you, let’s go to her.”
Carina moves to put the baby in Maya’s arms. Maya is shocked at first but gradually adjusts and holds her daughter and she puts her in a football position with her neck up. She looks at her daughter in front of her and immediately feels that unconditional love her father never gave her. She doesn’t care how many gold trophies she wins or how many races she does, nothing will stop her from loving this little blonde and blue-eyed baby in her arms. She says the same words she said to her three-year-old self two years ago knowing it’s exactly what she needs to do to break her family pattern and start anew.
Maya smiles at the baby, “Hi baby, I love you no matter what.” Maya starts to cry, and her voice breaks a bit as she is overcome with so much love for this tiny being, “You are lovable, no matter what. You are lovable, your mama’s love you without question and without condition. Don’t ever forget that or doubt how worthy you are of love because you are worth so much of it. We love you so much.”
Carina smiles at Maya knowing how much pain she had to go through to get to this point of her life and knowing just how lucky their children are to have a mother like her. Carina caresses their sleeping daughter’s cheek with her index finger as Maya softly caresses the babies soft light haired head.
Linda smiles at them before asking an important question, “What’s her name?”
“Andrea.” The women answer at the same time, and they look at each other in surprise. Maya smiles knowing Carina is naming her after her brother who has supported them and been by their side through all of this. And Carina knows Maya is naming her Andy Herrera’s full name, Andrea, as her best friend means the world to her and has saved Maya’s life so she can be in this moment with their new child.
Carina smiles and leans her head forward to touch Maya’s as they enjoy this moment as a family with the newest addition to their family, Andrea DeLuca-Bishop.

Giving in to the wild side
Dean Winchester x reader
Warnings: AOB, mentions of past trauma, family death, hurt/comfort, mates, claiming, eventual smut, lots of feels
Continuation of Craving the wild side
Summary: after leaving the Dean Winchester case you quit your job you over your as normal as you could. You woke up, helped your mum, worked on the farm but you always felt that hole. Not knowing if he show up or not you gave up on hoping till someone came knocking.
Told ya it wasn’t the end!
Tumblr media
It’s been six months since you’ve seen Dean. Six long agonising months. The effort to leave your bed got harder and harder it seemed if that was even possible. You worked around the farm like you said hell you planted a veggie patch, that was currently dying, but still. Champ got to run the fields around the house like never before and your mum saw the sunset every night on the porch, life was easy in a sense.
After you quit you stayed in bed for two weeks barely eating barley drinking. You got your implant removed and felt it’s strengths and weaknesses. Your job had a leave payment package which was a bonus for groceries and essentials, you knew eventually you’d have to find another job, but for now, for now you didn’t leave the farm.
Dean stared at the sky, pinks blending into oranges and yellows every time he looks at the sunset he can’t get over its beauty. After rehab tilted him society worthy he was happy to breathe in freedom. His brother had been waiting for him in the parking lot, leaning against some fancy looking Honda with his fancy suit, but damn he looked good. Healthy and well, Dean held onto his brother for a while and Sam allowed it, both men crying and not caring, it’d been thirty years. Sam told him about his life after Dean dropped him off at the orphanage, apparently he found a good family businessman and stay at home wife raising him like his own despite his defiance and run aways. Sam had gone to collage and studied in law and now he was famous! Dean couldn’t wipe the smile on his face as he stared at his brother, hell little Sammy had a mate now too and a dog named Jackson. Sam said he’d set up a spare room for him in his house, his house being a mansion. Dean stared in awe as he got out the car and absorbed it. Sure he’d seen flashy houses from rich stuck omegas but this, Sam said he bought the land and built on it, it was his kingdom. He saw a young woman, blonde hair pretty smile waving lightly.
“Mate?” Dean asked and Sam nodded making Dean grin in happiness. It’d been the first time an omega actually hugged him properly, the woman was joyed her scent sweet with happiness and Dean couldn’t help but smile. Dean had his own room, a proper bed and furniture, a nice view, his own bathroom. Sam even set up a new phone and plan for him along with a bank account with some savings he had in there for him. Dean couldn’t thank his brother enough for everything but the pit in his stomach was always a reminder of what had happened.
When the words left you mouth that you were quitting he felt emotions bubble and ready to burst. He wasn’t able to process it and he told you to get out before you could see him go into a feral rage. That’s the last time he ever saw you, broken down by him. After his outburst he went quiet, he worked on life skills and social skills he wanted to see you again even if you broke each others hearts. He worked real hard even with his set backs he forced himself to be better to be able to go out and find you.
Dean sat at the table enjoying the dinner Jess had prepared, moaning at each taste of the amazing roast she made.
“Damn this is good” he said and she chuckled softly.
“Sam told me it was one of your favourite meals growing up” she said and he grinned.
“Hell yes” he said and Sam laughed shaking his head. It felt natural but also strange at the same time, he learnt how to do this, he had to learn how to do this. After dinner was finished Jess served his favourite, apple pie before he called it a night and headed to his room. He sighed sitting on the edge of the bed full with a home cooked meal and smiled to himself. A knock came and he called come in, Sam appearing.
“Hey” he greeted and Dean smiled.
“How you feeling?” Sam asked.
“Full” Dean chuckled feeling bloated.
“Well you did eat two plates worth of roast” Sam commented and Dean tsked.
“Can’t waste a beautiful meal” he smiled.
“But really Dean, how’re you holding up so far?” Sam asked and Deans smiled faded slightly.
“I’m out” he said and Sam nodded sitting down on a chair.
“Freedom, fresh air, declared normal” he chuckled lightly.
“What about Y/n?” Sam asked and Dean faltered.
“I-I don’t know” Dean sighed.
“Dean she’s probably feeling the exact same way despite how everything ended” Sam explained.
“I know” Dean muttered fiddling with his fingers.
“I had to get better though, you know? I had to be better for her” he added sighing.
“And you are” Sam smiled.
“Your here, with family” he added.
“It feels great Sammy” Dean smiled.
“But you need her” Sam finished and he nodded.
“We can find her” Sam stated.
“Isn’t that stalking?” Dean asked and Sam chuckled.
“Not technically” Sam said and Dean raised an eyebrow.
“Everybody try’s to find their mate no matter how they do it” Sam shrugged.
“Maybe” Dean sighed.
“For now just settle in, get on your feet, take it one step at a time ok” Sam stood and gave his shoulder a pat before leaving.
Dean sighed running a hand through his hair as he glanced to his phone. Not stalking right?
After he showered he dared downloading social media, starting with Facebook first. He added Sam and Jess before his fingers hovered over the start of your name. He groaned switching his phone off and lying it on the bed side table. He needed to know to though.
His fingers moved quickly as he typed your name and searched. His heart stopped when he saw your face and beautiful smile, your dog Champ in the photo beside you. His breath shook as he clicked on your profile, your background was your farm with the sunset.
He smiled softly as he looked through your photos, your cows, sheep and chickens, Champ and your mum and dad, the old broken tractor in the barn you keep complaining about. The recent photo was of you and your mum out on the porch smiling together, but your smile didn’t reach your tired eyes. Despite the filter he knew you were paler, less healthier looking. He checked the date of the photo about a week ago. He saved the photo to his phone and your profile pic before sighing and turning his phone off, he’d find you.

Sandy and I, along with my cousin, sister, and brother-in-law, spent the last weekend in February and the first week of March cleaning out my stepfather's house. He passed in November 2022, leaving behind a family who loves him and a house packed with keepsakes of his life. Before we started working at the house we took part in a very well attended celebration of his life. There I learned just how much his family loves him.
Tumblr media
As we discovered, sifted, and sorted the remnants of his life I couldn't help but think about what all this stuff he'd amassed really meant. His interests, with their attendant accoutrements, were wide and varied. It felt like he would latch onto a passion, or hobby, only to lose interest and turn to something else. There's a good chance that I'm wrong. The only internal life that isn't a mystery is our own.
I can only aspire to be as eloquent as Robin Wall Kimmerer who wrote "Maybe there is no such thing as time; there are only moments, each with its own story."
We found that, in his spare time, Grant's stories were those of a Miner/Rockhound, a Motorcyclist, a Hunter, a Watchmaker, a Collector (of National Geographic, Reader's Digest, bank receipts, tax paperwork, and more), a Leather Worker, a Mechanic, an Electrician, a Hypnotist, a Conspiracy Theorist, a Believer in spirituality, a proud Father, a happy Grandpa, an indulgent Uncle, a Brother, and last but certainly not least a Gardener. He, like everyone, was truly a multitude.
The sorted remnants of Grant's life affected the sentiments of each of us in relation to what story line we happened to be in. Sandy and I found the greatest gift Grant unintentionally left behind for us purely by accident. Sandy found some Altoid boxes with seeds we think Grant took from his own garden.
Tumblr media
Sandy showed them to me and, as I marveled at the beautiful beans, my brother-in-law told us that he'd found a box of seeds under the stairs.
These vacuum packed bundles of life are all heirloom non-hybrid seeds. Seeds that have been sitting dormant on shelves in Grant's basement for (maybe) decades. All they've been waiting for is the opportunity to partake of the symbiotic magical miracle that sunshine, soil, seeds, and water perform to create life. This truly IS a box of life and I'm so excited to find a piece of ground to settle on. A piece of ground to be tilled, fortified by compost, and sown with the seeds that Grant unknowingly gifted me and my family. The bounty of this humble box will sustain me, my family, and my future new friends and neighbors.
Tumblr media
Grant will be there when we make fresh garden salads from whatever is in season. It'll be because of him that we'll slice into a beefsteak tomato. Sweet Corn from these seeds will taste sweeter because Grant stored them. Our future neighbors will also benefit. As Robin Wall Kimmerer writes with regard to harvesting "Never waste what you have taken. Share. Give thanks for what you have been given. Give a gift, in reciprocity for what you have taken."
All this stuff about gardening and the symbiotic magic of soil, sun and water acting on seeds is the frame of reference I want to remember Grant in. I've written, before, about how he planted ideas in my mind and heart. Ideas that, when I was in the right season of my life, were harvestable and truly made a difference in who I am at this point of my story.
Grant, I'm positive, understood that life is a gift. We found a constant reminder taped to a cupboard door in his kitchen. These five words are the Reader's Digest (which Grant loved) version of "Never waste what you have taken. Share. Give thanks for what you have been given. Give a gift, in reciprocity for what you have taken." These small and powerful words are the only constants in all the stories that were Grant. They're the one thing that we could always, always, expect from him. Is there any wonder why his family loves him so much?

THE BIBLE BOOK OF GOD
New Testament
Acts 23
23 And looking intently at the council, Paul said, “Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience up to this day.” 2 And the high priest Ananias commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth. 3 Then Paul said to him, “God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! Are you sitting to judge me according to the law, and yet contrary to the law you order me to be struck?” 4 Those who stood by said, “Would you revile God's high priest?” 5 And Paul said, “I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’”
6 Now when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. It is with respect to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial.” 7 And when he had said this, a dissension arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. 8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all. 9 Then a great clamor arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees' party stood up and contended sharply, “We find nothing wrong in this man. What if a spirit or an angel spoke to him?” 10 And when the dissension became violent, the tribune, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him away from among them by force and bring him into the barracks.
11 The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.”
A Plot to Kill Paul
12 When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. 13 There were more than forty who made this conspiracy. 14 They went to the chief priests and elders and said, “We have strictly bound ourselves by an oath to taste no food till we have killed Paul. 15 Now therefore you, along with the council, give notice to the tribune to bring him down to you, as though you were going to determine his case more exactly. And we are ready to kill him before he comes near.”
16 Now the son of Paul's sister heard of their ambush, so he went and entered the barracks and told Paul. 17 Paul called one of the centurions and said, “Take this young man to the tribune, for he has something to tell him.” 18 So he took him and brought him to the tribune and said, “Paul the prisoner called me and asked me to bring this young man to you, as he has something to say to you.” 19 The tribune took him by the hand, and going aside asked him privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?” 20 And he said, “The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire somewhat more closely about him. 21 But do not be persuaded by them, for more than forty of their men are lying in ambush for him, who have bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they have killed him. And now they are ready, waiting for your consent.” 22 So the tribune dismissed the young man, charging him, “Tell no one that you have informed me of these things.”
Paul Sent to Felix the Governor
23 Then he called two of the centurions and said, “Get ready two hundred soldiers, with seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen to go as far as Caesarea at the third hour of the night. 24 Also provide mounts for Paul to ride and bring him safely to Felix the governor.” 25 And he wrote a letter to this effect:
26 “Claudius Lysias, to his Excellency the governor Felix, greetings. 27 This man was seized by the Jews and was about to be killed by them when I came upon them with the soldiers and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman citizen. 28 And desiring to know the charge for which they were accusing him, I brought him down to their council. 29 I found that he was being accused about questions of their law, but charged with nothing deserving death or imprisonment. 30 And when it was disclosed to me that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, ordering his accusers also to state before you what they have against him.”
31 So the soldiers, according to their instructions, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris. 32 And on the next day they returned to the barracks, letting the horsemen go on with him. 33 When they had come to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they presented Paul also before him. 34 On reading the letter, he asked what province he was from. And when he learned that he was from Cilicia, 35 he said, “I will give you a hearing when your accusers arrive.” And he commanded him to be guarded in Herod's praetorium.

THURSDAY, JUNE 30, 1994 Wow! It’s so much cooler in this house than it has been in a few weeks. Especially in my room. Tom switched over to the AC till we get the other EC going.
I put the wedding card that came with the candlesticks my folks sent in the back of this book.
I’d like to write more, but first I’d like to go make some coffee and see what the talk topic is on Jerry Springer.
Later…
Now that was both spontaneous and fun! Tom came in and laid down with me cuz my lungs were a little tight. After whacking my back he went down there.
Later…
Tom’s leaving for work real soon, and I’m surprisingly not too tired. I’m probably going to listen to music soon.
Boy, has it been unusually hot with temps of 115º daily. In Laughlin, they hit 125º! In Lake Havasu, they hit 128º! God, I hope that never happens here. If I could pick the same low and high every day, I’d pick a low of 70º and a high of 110º. That’d keep the pool comfy. It’d also hopefully keep it as quiet as it has been all year round. Maybe keep the kids next door permanently in Idaho. It has been so quiet here and sooo nice. Oh, I hope it stays this way!
Today we’re ordering Denise Austin’s 1-2-3 Tone Up. I can’t wait to do it and I know it’ll be so much easier for me to stick to. Those other videos I have are just too much and too overwhelming. This should cut to the chase.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29, 1994 Uh-oh. It feels like my tooth is wiggling more.
So, how’s videography going? Well, Tom’s making a program that’ll make it plainer and simpler. The idiot who wrote the program we have is definitely stupid and they obviously like to confuse people. Also, the movie I taped is of lousy quality, therefore the pictures are grainy. The Guardian tape is top-notch, so that’s why its pictures came out clearer. We don’t have a video processor, either. I’m going to try to find this movie in a video store. Tom printed a picture of Andy performing. This was from when we were in the finals at the Frontier. It’s shitty, but there’s nothing we can do.
I also finished Andy’s 3-page letter, so I’ll mail that out tomorrow, along with letters to Bob and Kim.
I made spaghetti and two sandwiches for Tom.
His birthday could’ve been a lot better, but he had lots of errands and an upset stomach.
The house is officially ours today and we mailed out the insurance forms, in case I forgot to say. I still have to change my license, get a new SS card, and a new doctor God, do I hate having to start all over with a new doctor!
We went to Christown Mall and Tom got a dress shirt, new shoes, and a tie cuz he has a job interview tomorrow.
We went swimming today and that’s about it.
Later…
I got two packages from Mom and Dad today. One with the jewelry and another with silver candlesticks. There were about 5 rings that were nice but didn’t fit. I have on a really nice gold bracelet, and there are a few other necklaces and earrings they sent that are really nice. She enclosed a note saying the dishwasher is to come. I can’t wait for that.
Tom and his brother David (now my brother-in-law) brought the EC over. We hope to have it set up in a few days.
Should I go for a swim right now? Sure. Why not?
TUESDAY, JUNE 28, 1994 Good fucking God! I thought printing pictures would be a breeze now, but no. I’m having trouble with picture sizes, clarity, and all kinds of other shit. I need to work with Tom a while longer till I can be on my own, but will he have the time? We’ve got a lot of shit going on that we both have to take care of.
I have to get a new SS card, a new license, and a new doctor. Plus, his sister Mary’s getting married on July 16, so I’ve got to be prepared for that. I think this Sat. she’s supposed to be having a family get-together, too.
I’m so confused with videographing that I’m not even sure how to word or describe my questions to Tom. Well, if I can’t ever learn how to do it on my own, then so be it.
I got 3 Bob letters today but was too lazy to type his or anyone else letters.
I typed up #38 & #39. So, that leaves #’s 40, 49, 52, 53, & 62 to type up first since they should go faster. Also, #41 and a few others may go faster cuz there are letters written in them. This is before I put all my letters into their own books. I will not be typing up any letters.
At about 7:00 last night I gave Tom his birthday letter and his two pairs of shorts. Thankfully, he really liked them a lot and doesn’t need to get them exchanged.
Since I don’t know how to bake a cake, and it’s too hot for that anyhow, I made up some pudding. He found the candles and put them in the fridge. I stuck them in the pudding.
Well, I guess that’s all for now.
Oh, Tammy got the video. She said it was beautiful, but she felt bad cuz no one was there, but as I told her, that’s what we wanted.
MONDAY, JUNE 27, 1994 Boy, has it been hot! It’s been holding a steady 114º for nearly a week now. The only time it’s comfortable in here is very late at night. That is, till we build the EC that’s going in the back room.
I did a lot of swimming today and so did Tom. He also mowed and worked on the sign program.
We went over and filled out the health insurance forms, too.
Last night I typed Tom up a little birthday letter. I hope to hell I can find candles around here. I don’t know how to bake a cake or care to in this heat. However, I know he loves pudding. I was going to make some up and stick candles in that. They’ll hold. Let me go check to see if I can find any candles.
Later…
Shit. Can’t find any candles around here. I left a home memo for Tom on the VM to let me know if he finds any around here cuz it’s been so hot that I think they should be refrigerated. Of course, I’m not stupid and neither is he, but I can’t find them.
I can’t wait to give him his presents. Those two pairs of shorts. And I hope to hell they fit OK.
In 24 hours, I typed up #38 and #16. Cool, huh? I also typed up letters to Tammy and my parents. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get letters from Bob and Kim. Tomorrow I’ll type them letters, or whenever I get any from them.
We’re expecting lots of stuff in the mail. Our wedding pictures, the ribbons, work for me, and other stuff. I just can’t remember all we’re expecting, but I know there’s more.
Later…
I just went to set the VCR to tape a movie that looks like it oughta be good. I’ve still got a 4-hour movie to watch. That’ll be good for days, or nights for that matter when I’m so incredibly bored.
I don’t think I’ve written about a certain letter I sent to both my parents and Tammy right before we left for Vegas, so I may as well write about it now. In the letter, I mentioned how they’ve helped me financially, were there for me to talk to (especially Tammy), and gave me my dream of Arizona. I said I had one more favor to ask them that was non-material. That is, even though I’m not a rich and famous singer, would they acknowledge me as one in their hearts and minds? Would they put it in writing, I asked, cuz I want to put it in this journal even if their answer isn’t what I want to hear. I haven’t heard about it and I probably never will, but we’ll see.
God, it’s so fucking warm in here! Can’t wait for that other EC!
Andy met that guy Chris. He says he’s not the best-looking guy, but far from the worse and so far they have really hit it off and Andy doesn’t want to judge him only by his looks. Especially cuz he wants a full-time relationship and no longer wants to fling around.
Later…
My hair is so long and so thick. I just wish there was a comfortable bathing cap that would hold all this hair cuz the pool kills it and it’s such a pain.
Boy, Tuesday will be a busy day. We have lots of errands and still lots of things we need and want to do.
I can’t wait till we build Piggy’s cage. I’ve always wanted and thought how neat that’d be to have for every single guinea pig I have ever had. He’ll love it too, I’m sure.
I really hope I get mail tomorrow. I am so anxious for the ribbons to get here. I’m going to have so much fun making all kinds of pictures for my bedroom walls. It’s about time, too. My walls have been the same ever since I moved in here, so they could use a change and a new look.
As of today, I’ve been doing journals for 6 years and 8 months. That’s a long fucking time!
I keep forgetting to read Tom Fran’s letter to Sabrina. Maybe I’ll do that on his birthday on Tuesday.
His parents sent him a check for $37. A dollar for every year. I guess that’s what they do with all the kids every year.
I am so hungry now, so I’m going to break for a bite to eat, then return.
Later…
Yuck! That macaroni and cheese from KFC tasted like shit, then the bottom of the Styrofoam cup it was in fell off, too.
Piggy looks so hot. I’ll bet he is wearing all that fur. I just put the blue ice in. It’s not really ice, though, just this blue plastic thing from the freezer that Tom told me about.
SUNDAY, JUNE 26, 1994 Shortly after 3 PM, Marla, her son, and Andy got here. Timothy was surprisingly calm, obedient, and non-destructive.
Poor Marla’s humongous, but her face and hair look better than the last time I saw her.
During the wedding video playback, Andy was the only one who watched it entirely as Marla was busy bombarding Tom with countless computer-related queries. Andy concurred that both Tom and I appeared larger on video. I have always believed that video makes everyone appear larger unless they’re bone thin.
It was so funny cuz Marla was saying how she used to babysit all of us kids but I was too young to remember. I was barely 2 years old. Marla’s 44, so there’s a huge age difference. She said rather than my mom asking, she’d call up demanding that she babysit us. She said she felt so bad for us kids and seeing mom treat the dogs like gold and us like dirt. She said it took a whole 24 hours or so to get us laughing and that she’d constantly try to praise us and compliment us. She said Ma treated me differently when I was very little cuz she supposedly felt guilty about my ear. Well, she certainly didn’t treat me any differently or any better when I got older. She said she couldn’t stand babysitting us and had to stop cuz she felt so bad for us all.
Andy said Marla said I looked the best she’s ever seen and says I’m in great shape. That’s cool.
Tom did a lot of work on his car today but I guess there’s more work to be done on it to pass emissions.
We discussed building a huge cage for Piggy. One with split levels and places for him to hide. He’d love a huge cage like that.
Gloria was on the American Bandstand, but I haven’t seen it yet, cuz I’m now using that tape to record a 4-hour movie.
Did I mention that Tammy still hasn’t gotten the tape?! What the fuck’s taking so long? I hope she gets it Monday.
SATURDAY, JUNE 25, 1994 I got up at 11:30 today and shortly after noon, Andy called. Andy, Marla and her son will be over soon. I sure hope they’re not here long and that Timothy doesn’t destroy this place. Andy says he’s been pretty good and that he’ll keep a constant eye on him. I hope so, cuz that’s what Kara used to say.
I wonder what’s going on with Kara these days. Did she try to become a cop? Is she in Arizona or did she go back to Michigan?
Later…
Andy just called and they’re going to be an hour late and not get here till 3:00. At 4:40 she’s got to be at the airport. They’ll probably be here for about an hour.
I think I’ll go do some typing now of journal #10, which I began last night.
I’m down to 100 pounds from 104 pounds, so that’s good.
Oh, Tom turned on the mister that’s out on the back patio. It’s really nice and very refreshing. I’ll probably go skinny-dipping tonight at 8:00 when all the bees are gone.
Later…
Andy just called and they’re leaving in 5 minutes, so they’ll be here in 20 minutes.
I just did lots of typing, and God only knows what I’m going to do after they leave. Tom’s going to work on his car and I’ll probably type and listen to music till I go swimming.
We’ve been too busy to fool around and my appetite’s gone up a little, but that’s cuz I’m about 9 days away from my next curse. I’ve been taking care of myself and I can continue to do so till we have more time.
I didn’t get any mail today or Thurs. and Fri. Tammy still hasn’t gotten the tape of our wedding. I hope she gets it soon. Maybe today Nervous got all of Fran’s letters which I mailed him.
I hope Andy and Marla don’t laugh too hard over the video. I’m not in the mood to be embarrassed, even though you get used to it.
What else can I say till their arrival? Nothing, I guess.
FRIDAY, JUNE 24, 1994 Not much happened today, other than the fact that it was incredibly hot. I got 3 letters from Kim and 2 from Bob.
Andy drove over with some money he owed me, and in the car were Marla and her 1-year-old son Timothy who he’d just picked up at the airport. I ran out to the car to get my money and to show Andy the shirt and necklaces I got in Vegas.
Thank fucking God we’re not living in apartments that are connected. They’re all the same out here. Even if I lived next door to where he is now, I’d easily feel his elephant walk.
So, what did I get last night at the mall? Well, I went into a store where everything’s a buck. I got a pearl necklace with a diamond-like stone in a gold-plated oval shape. A pearly hair clip and a silver barrette that’s hard to describe. I also got a $10 skirt (cotton with little flowers) and a blue tank top with a zipper in front for $7.
Lastly, I bought Tom two pairs of shorts for his birthday. One of cotton that’s black, and a blue silk pair. I sure hope they fit and that he likes them.
That night Andy gave me Sabrina’s letters and she and I wrote to him today. He put 2 letters in 1 envelope and a card. Bob has never ever mentioned getting Andy’s letter. He said he never got the letter I sent to an inmate, either. Are those fucking guards, who think they’re God, playing games? Bob says one of them’s running around telling people what he’s in for. Yeah, I believe that.
Males! I love Tom, but I still can’t stand males in general. They’re liars, bullies, and sluts. Although, if I’d been able to get all the women I wanted, once upon a time, I’d have been a slut, too.
Guess I’ll go finish my coffee, then try to sleep. If I can’t sleep, I’ll be back to write more of whatever.
Later…
Actually, I don’t really feel like going to bed yet, so what shall I write about? Well, Fran called 3 times asking about Sabrina. What else is new with him, huh? I died laughing when he said he wanted to marry Sabrina and he asked her if she’d have his child. How can anyone be so desperate as to ask someone they’ve never met to marry them and have their child?
I also got a kick out of his description of the temperatures. He said it goes from “20% to 110%.”
Nervo and Crystal oughta get a royal kick out of his letters. If they read them, and I really hope to hell they do.
I finished typing up #9 and tomorrow I’ll start #10.
So, what’s going on with the package of jewelry Ma said she mailed? And the dishwasher? I know Andy can’t get us anything cuz he’s broke, but I understand that. Plus, he just had to get his brother Gary a b-day present back in MA.
Fran says that anytime from now till Oct. he’ll be moving to Chicopee. Why is he going to move there? What the hell’s in Chicopee for the guy?
I asked him if he’s run into Nervous, but he says no.
Later…
Today’s been a stressful day. First, it was a fucking sauna in here and there’s not much we can do to fix it right now. Poor Tom had a million errands to do as well as to put an up duct in my room and work on his car.
Lastly, about 10 minutes ago, Andy surprised us with a visit with Marla and her son. I hate that and Tom does, too. They’re stopping by tomorrow afternoon, too. They want to see the wedding video. Marla wants to see the house and meet Tom, but she already did a little while ago.
Tammy hasn’t gotten the video yet, but I called Dad and they both said it was very beautiful. Dad said I didn’t look any bigger. Thank God I don’t!
Tom also picked up our rings today and at first, I thought I’d have to bring mine back. It’s a 4¼ and I thought I’d have to get a 4½ cuz it was so tight. It feels more comfortable now. I guess I just had to get used to it.
Later…
I just opened all the files to journals 1-9 and got all the statistics on it. Norah’s story, too.
Tom showed me today that the floppy disk I’m using holds 1.4 megabytes and I’ve used ¾ of it already! When I called Tammy, I said, “Three-quarters of a megabyte!”
She said, “What?”
I said, “I thought you knew a lot about computers.”
She said, “Yeah, right!”
Well, I thought she’d know all about what I was talking about, but since she didn’t I explained it all to her. I told her I typed 9 journals and a story.
THURSDAY, JUNE 23, 1994 Another lovely letter from Fran to Sabrina! It’s 6-7 pages and funny as all hell. I just copied it and I’ll be sending the original copy to Nervous. Crystal still lives there. The other day I figured - what the hell, and called him. He answered and was all set to talk to me till she screamed, “Hang up!” She sure has him wrapped around her finger.
I do have more to write about, such as what I got Tom for his b-day at the mall. I went with Andy. However, I’m really getting tired, so I’ll write another time.
TUESDAY, JUNE 21, 1994 Today and yesterday I mailed 3 envelopes off with forms for home office work. I hope at least one of them amounts to any good.
Last night Andy read me 3 letters to Sabrina that came in 1 envelope. They were hysterical, as usual. When we get together tomorrow night, he’ll give them to me. I hope nothing gets in the way of him picking me up tomorrow, as he’s doing me a huge and important favor.
Tom’s b-day is on the 28th, so I’ll be getting him God knows what.
I finished typing up my story till up to this book. I figure that every 5 journals or so I’ll update it, adding it to its document on the computer. I’ve also printed it out, but I won’t print out any journal stuff. I have 37 pages of it printed. A lot, huh?
Larry called yesterday from a truck stop in Ohio and said maybe he and Larry could come here sometime this summer. He admitted to having numerous affairs, which I figured. He says he doesn’t do it anymore, but I doubt that even though I couldn't care less. He congratulated me on getting married and then shocked me by saying he always knew I’d succeed in life. How nice. He tells me that my niece Jenny is into all types of dancing, mainly ballet, and will be taking up the flute. That’s cool.
When I casually mentioned Tammy and said how bad I felt for her, he said, “Yeah, I do too, but shit happens. There’s nothing I can do for her.”
He said he was on his way to CT, then on home to MA for a while.
I called Tammy after we hung up, knowing she won’t tell anyone and was beyond getting mad or hurt, and told her of my talk with Larry. She said, “Fine! Fuck it then! I’ve gone for 9 years, so I’ll go another 9 years.” I reminded her she’ll always have a sister and has been compensated with a brother-in-law.
Now I’m going to go do more typing on #9.
MONDAY, JUNE 20, 1994 On the 14th, the day we were to leave, Tom went and took some money out of my account. When he came home he was wondering if I called SS and SSI to appeal my case. Well, I didn’t, but both checks were there for June 1st and 3rd. What a lovely wedding present from the government. It is nice to see that after all those years of them fucking up on me in a bad way, they’ve finally fucked up on me in a good way. They owe it to me and if they try demanding any of it back, they ain’t getting it. Their letters to me did not come certified and I didn’t appeal regardless of that, so it’s their own mistake which I’m not paying for.
Andy was laughing at how I used the government’s money to gamble. Yup, I sure did.
I hope they screw up again in July, and it’s a good thing I didn’t go run and close my account.
We got new videotapes and I finally learned how to video edit! Tom and Andy were right. It is easy.
SUNDAY, JUNE 19, 1994 Boy oh boy, do I have lots and lots of catching up to do in this book! OK, I just looked back at the last entry to see where I left off. I forgot to say that we were lucky enough to be on the top floor (the 28th), and what a view of the castle! We gambled every day and it was sooo much fun, even though we lost about $300. There were thousands of slot machines. They all had so many different designs on them. My favorite slot machine was called Casino Night. It won me 200 quarters 3 times! Lots of 20s, 10s and 4s, too, but like I said, I ended up losing it all. Sometimes we played together and other times we separated. We both only played the slot machines. We didn’t gamble with other people like in blackjack or other games. Some machines didn’t pay off that much, and others had a huge progressive jackpot.
We arrived there at 9 PM, so we weren’t up long. Just long enough to do a little gambling and see some shops and eat dinner. We got up at 6 AM the next morning and went to a really nice breakfast buffet. It was the 15th, of course, the day of the wedding. We pretty much gambled till 2:30 when the limo driver came to pick us up at the hotel. He took us to the courthouse to get the marriage license. First time in a very long time with me being in a courthouse where I wasn’t in any trouble. The clerk there asked me if “Lin” was spelled right. I was like, no! I don’t know how to spell my own middle name.
On the way to the Las Vegas Garden Wedding Chapel, I saw the famous lighted cowgirl and cowboy. So, at the wedding chapel, which was gorgeous, I wasn’t at all nervous till the ceremony started. I wore that royal blue tank top/shorts (1 piece) that looks like it’s a skirt, my black pumps, the earrings Ma sent me and one of the beautiful necklaces I bought. I had my hair down and wore makeup.
Tom wore black sneakers only because they were black so you couldn’t see them in detail, so it didn’t look funny. Also, black slacks and his new light blue dress shirt we got him before we left.
I had a bouquet of silk flowers instead of real ones. That’s better cuz real ones would die off in a day and bother my allergies.
The minister went over the ceremony with us first and we let him know we wanted a civil one and not a religious one. Also, no saying that I agree to “obey” him.
So, they took pictures and videotaped the little ceremony we had. I’m sending my sister and parents a copy, but I’m so embarrassed! Tom, on the other hand, looked great and was so calm. I was shaking like Nervous and looked so bow-legged and so chunky.
I hope the pictures come out well. Today Tom got video mailers, so I’ll mail them their copies tomorrow. And also, I’m sending Kim back her two tapes of those funny answering machine messages.
So anyway, after the wedding, we got back to the hotel at 4 PM and called Tammy and my parents. They were very happy for us. Then, we fooled around for an hour or so, then we went to an old-fashioned and ugly place for prime rib dinners. The prime rib was great, though. After dinner, we gambled till we crashed which was early. At 4 AM Tom woke me up when he turned the light on in the bathroom. I was beat, but I got up anyway.
We went for breakfast across the way at the MGM Grand, and oh my God! That place was awesome, even though it was dead. Tom said he went to other nearby hotels/casinos without me and they were also dead. At the MGM there was a huge display of Dorothy and The Wizard of Oz and all the other characters with props that go with the movie. There were also lasers and a sound machine that made thunder and lightning. The next time we go there, we’d maybe like to stay at the MGM Grand, The Pyramid, Luxor, Tropicana, or wherever.
Anyway, it was just all so gorgeous inside and outside. I really wished we had a camera, but we hope to the next time around. If they blew Phoenix off the map, I’d definitely move to Vegas.
The pen I’m now writing with came from the room. I got other little things here and there too, from the room. Cups, a pad, soap, lotion, etc.
So our last day there, the 16th, we pretty much gambled till we left for the airport. We got back to the house at 11 PM, and yes, Tom carried me over the threshold. Almost forgot, though.
When I got back there were 3 letters from Bob. One had a letter from his friend Brian in it. It was nice, and I wrote them both back. I got 2-3 more letters from him (Bob) over the next two days as well.
I called Tammy and my parents. Dad has the Father’s Day banner across their entertainment center. Cool. I wasn’t sure if he’d like it. He said Larry tried calling but got no answer. Oh well, he’ll try again I’m sure. I talked to Andy too, of course.
I tried to take an NPN envelope, put his name over the address on it and send it to him, but I guess he never got it. I don’t think Bob got Andy’s letter or a few I sent him, and Andy says he’s gotten no letters yet for Sabrina.
Andy didn’t come over while we were away, but the mail was fine and so was Piggy.
I wrote to Tammy, my parents, Fran, Bob, Kim and that guy Brian. In the hotel room, there were 3 pieces of stationary and 3 envelopes, so I sent 1 to Tammy & Bill, mom & dad and Andy. The second day I mailed postcards to Andy, Kim, Bob, Fran, my parents, Tammy & Bill and 1 for the girls.
Mom and dad mentioned sending us a portable dishwasher, but I haven’t heard anything about it yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see. I think she said something about sending jewelry, too.
Oh! I forgot to mention a few other things. I got a tie-dye shirt with fringes on it that says, Excalibur Hotel/Casino/Las Vegas. I also got a really nice barrette with colored glass stones in it and 3 necklaces. One has gold with colored glass stones, another has colored beads on a black string, and the last one has one dice on a black string.
When we got back and went food shopping, I wore the shirt and the dice necklace. I’m sure everyone could tell I’d just been in Vegas.
I realized a very stupid mistake I’ve been making all my life and a million times throughout my journals. That is that I’ve been spelling Los Angeles as Las Angeles, and I of all people should’ve known better. It only makes sense since Angeles ends with a masculine tense, and therefore it has to be Los and not Las.
Later…
I just got off the phone with Andy a little while ago who may have a promising relationship with a guy named Chris.
Anyway, now I can update on all that’s happened since returning from Never Never Land. First of all, it’s the other way around now, Tom’s been pretty horny and I haven’t. I’m sure I’ll pick up my appetite, though, as it comes and goes. I only hope it doesn’t pick up when his is down.
I just took BOL #10 and put in the ticket that they put on my luggage in CT when I came here, my Vegas ticket and both of our boarding passes.
The whole trip went great as far as my asthma. Also, we had no fights. We haven’t had any for a while, which is very nice. The only thing I felt the bulk of the time in Vegas was tired. Very tired. When we got back we crashed within two hours.
From Thursday to today, we swam, barbecued, went food shopping, did computer work and other odds and ends around here. He picked up plastic office folder files to sort out papers which we did. We went through all the mail I got for at-home work and tomorrow I’ll be sending one out.
He got a couple of computer books and a $50 portable CD/cassette player, so we can listen to CDs in other rooms.
We sent away for colored ribbons which will be a lot cheaper. I ordered 50 stamps through the mail.
THURSDAY, JUNE 16, 1994 Hey, I’m in Vegas!!! I am so overwhelmed with this place and all that’s gone on here. Where do I start? I guess I should start at the beginning. The whole thing will take many pages and I may not finish till after I return to Phoenix.
Later…
I stopped writing up above cuz Tom had come into the room and then we went off to do things all day.
In an hour we’re leaving for the airport. I guess now is a good time to start writing all about my fairytale trip. Andy picked us up and brought us to the airport. He gave me 4 quarters to gamble with.
At the airport, I was pretty emotional for two reasons. One’s that it was a wonderful trip down memory lane. The other’s cuz another childhood dream was about to come true. The airport was pretty dead and the flight was, too. I got a window seat and it was great flying. The shortest flight of my life, though, that’s for sure.
When we got to the airport we came to this hotel, The Ex-Caliber, with 4 other people in a limo. You check in on the 1st floor where all the casinos and slot machines are. All the bright lights were like - wow! Finally, everything that was just a fantasy was a reality. All those things I only saw in visions, magazines, and on TV, I was seeing in person. We came right up to the room which was actually kind of ugly, but suitable enough for us. The bathroom’s big. The building and uniforms of the people who work here are ugly. They’re all in a medieval theme.
TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 1994 Well, today's the day! We'll be in Vegas in about 14-15 hours! I will be very very tired, though. I've been up since 11:15 last night. I have lots and lots to write about, but I'll probably save it for the trip. I'm gonna spend most of the day laying down and I'm gonna go do that now.
SUNDAY, JUNE 12, 1994 God answered my prayers (I think) once again. Yesterday I slept from 1 PM - 8 PM. Miraculously, but thankfully I fell asleep at 11:30 last night and slept till 3:15 AM. This gives me the gusto to go out today. We’ll be leaving real soon to go look at rings and do some other shopping. I’ll write about that after we return from wherever.
I saw that 4-hour movie. She looked great. There were only a few scenes where her hair looked pitiful and she wore these geeky hats. For the most part, her hair and face looked really hot. Her hair was a few inches below her shoulders. Her clothes were very conservative, though. Can’t wait to print out pictures from this movie.
Tom and I went swimming. We also called Tammy who congratulated Tom, welcomed him to the family and said she loved him to death, even though she’s never met him.
Right before we go, I’m going to shave and do my nails. My nails need serious filing and polishing. We have ideas about what we’re going to wear. Tom will probably wear his black slacks and we’ll get him a shirt today. I’ll probably wear my all royal blue, tank top/shorts thing that looks like it’s really a skirt cuz it’s fuller from the waist down. The top has spaghetti straps. It’s my favorite that I bought when I was working at Favors.
SATURDAY, JUNE 11, 1994 Only about 14 more hours to go before I see that 4-hour movie. Or tape it, at least. I sure hope her hair’s not as short in this one as it was in Magic Moments.
Got one Bob letter today and that’s about all that’s happening right now. I’m going to go do more typing.
Later…
Tom just got up a little while ago and we just put stuff in the pool to kill algae. The water was turning green.
I also took that plant clipping I cut to root inside. The water won’t evaporate as quickly in here. It’s in the same cup in the living room window.
Tom doesn’t usually work on Saturdays, but he’s going in today for some overtime. He’ll be home at 4:00 or 5:00, rather than close to 7:00.
I’ve got a tape ready to record that movie. I really wish I could get every movie she was ever in and edit with two VCRs like Andy does. Both he and Tom say it’s easy. If I could do it, I edit out everyone else, run her altogether, cuz it’d be a whole lot easier to print pictures out that way. I’m also hoping The Guardian will be on again soon enough, so I can tape it, cuz the tape I bought of it has missing parts that were on TV.
So, how many letters will I get today?
Did I mention I made a 5-page banner for my dad? It says - Happy Father’s Day, With Love, From Jodi Lin. I hope he likes it. I’ll send it out Monday.
Yes, they’ve definitely gone to Idaho next door. It’s been so quiet and so peaceful here. So much more so and I love it. It’s as quiet as it was when I first started hanging out here last July. Mid-May to mid-September oughta be the quietest. I wish the weather was like it is from June-August, all year round. Next winter, though, come to think of it, will be much quieter. I mean, it should be, and I’ll write why it should be after I go grab a smoke.
Later…
Well, I did more than grab a smoke. I tried to call Tammy, but there was no answer. I did talk to Ma, though, and she said to call collect from Vegas when we’re married. She’s also sending me some jewelry and wants a picture of us she can frame.
OK - so why do I feel next winter will be quieter? Cuz the heavy metaller oughta be gone, and if not, he won’t be playing so loud since we had our little talk. Also, next door was the noisiest when they moved in, so since they’re all moved in, they should be quieter. I know, though, that from September-May there’ll be some ball playing and noise out back when they’ve got their door open. It’d still be nice if they decided to up and leave and an elderly couple with no kids, grandkids and very little company moved in. Or a guy like Tom or a woman like me. Anyone who hates kids and company. Dean, next door, is from here. Thank God Lenore’s not from here, cuz then where would she and the kids go?
Lastly, I have the fan as a wonderful weapon against being woken up. Just the mail going in the mail slot alone would wake me up with no fan. I definitely don’t miss sleeping with the radio on. Certain commercials can wake me up. Plus, I used to hate trying to fall asleep to either commercials or songs I didn’t like.
Wow! I’m already halfway through this book and I began it only 12 days ago. Let’s see… what else can I write about? I am in a writing mood, but I’m running out of things to discuss. Well, my period’s over. Lucky me.
I watched Halloween 5 which I taped. It was so-so. I’ve seen so many of those movies now that they’re so predictable and boring. Like eating the same food and wearing the same clothes every day.
I saw on 20/20 a segment on cosmetic tattooing. Now if I had the money, knew I’d like the results, and would have no allergic reactions, I’d love to have that done. It’d be great to have makeup forever that never smudges or fades.
No messages from Andy. Wonder what he’s up to? Did he get Sabrina’s letter yet? I worked on his letter last night, but I won’t do any more of it till we get a color ribbon and I start printing out stuff.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. It’s coffee time now.
Later…
Rather than get any coffee yet, I was playing with the pig. I swing my hand real fast and it gets him to jump, just like it used to do with my cat. Yup, he’s a playful one. When I take him outside and sit him down next to me, he jumps up on my lap.
Another thing I like about these kinds of pens is that I can look and see how much ink there is left.
I’m going to go set the timer on the VCR before I forget.
FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 1994 Not much to update on now.
Got 3 Bob letters today and now I’m going to go continue typing my story.
So far I have about 200 letters in all. 125 from Bob, 4 from Mom, 4 from Lisa, 5 from Alex, 52 from Kim, 7 from Dad, 2 from Fran, 10 from Andy, 10 from Tammy, and 1 each from Nervous, Brenda, Brian, Donald, David and Tara.
THURSDAY, JUNE 9, 1994 Yeah! Been here for two years! Well, almost. It’s still “Free Year’s Eve.” It’s almost 5 AM ET and my flight didn’t leave till 4:30 PM. I arrived here at 10:30 PM which was 7:30 PM ET.
Got a letter yesterday from Alex. How funny, cuz the night before, I was wondering if I’d ever hear from him again.
I’m also happy to say that I scanned the hell out of next week’s TV guide and Sat. Norah will be in another 4-hour movie called Hold the Dream. That movie A Woman of Substance was a 6-hour movie, I noticed.
So now I know of 6 movies she’s in. The Guardian, Hold The Dream, Nates & Hayes, Magic Moments, A Woman of Substance and Local Hero. I’ve only seen all of #’s 1 and 3. Seen 1 hour of #4. Will see all of #2. Hope to hell I eventually see all of #’s 4, 5 and 6. And anything else that may exist with her in it.
Tom asked me to type up my stories so he doesn’t have to keep jumping from journal to journal. How sweet of him. Well, I guess I may as well go start that now. I looked back through my journals and got a pretty good idea of where it starts.
Later…
Tom’s up now working on the computer till it’s time for him to shower and take off for work.
I made two sandwiches for him right before he got up.
Last night I had to wake him up. Supposedly it was only a baby, but it was still a huge spider I spotted on the living room ceiling. They come in at night through the front door. When we bombed we never really took care of the outside. After Tom leaves I’m going to spray the hell out of the front and back doors. I’ll go outside, close the door behind me and spray like hell.
I also have to call for a refill on my inhalers.
I began typing up my story. I’m glad Tom suggested it after all. This allows me to be able to touch up things, change things, add things. It begins in #58 and is also in #’s 60, 61, 62, 64, 66 & 67.
The weather line says today it’ll be 106º, then for Sat. and Sun. it will be 105º.
Since I got no letters yesterday from Bob and Kim, I may very well get mail from them today. From Bob especially.
I wonder if I’ll ever hear from Cassandra?
Andy hasn’t mentioned getting a letter yet from Fran to Sabrina.
Fran tried to call collect 4 times yesterday, I heard on the VM. I’ll never accept a collect call from him. I called him back, and it was his usual paranoia about Sabrina dumping him. The boy is so fucked. Anyway, I know he’s losing his phone real soon, but I’ll never talk again to him by phone unless he calls me. Calls direct. I hope he does lose his phone fast enough. That oughta make him write more. It’ll spin-off his paranoia some more, so he’ll want to write.
I really haven’t been working on Andy’s letter lately. Only once when I first began it. I really wanted to wait till I got that color ribbon and printed out pictures first.
I was out back a little while ago and the pool water feels warmer than the air. I wonder what the deal is with the Jacuzzi thermometer? I can’t even read it. It’s all yellowish.
I am starting to get so tired now, but I have to stay up till at least 8:30 to call in my refills. Actually, I really want to stay up as late as I can. Bye for now.
Later…
Tom’s in the shower now and I am sooo dead tired. Already?! Well, then again, I’ve been up since 3:30 yesterday afternoon and I had only slept 6 hours. Then I got my period.
Yuck! I see cobwebs on my lampshade. I’d better go take care of it before it builds up into a really serious mess that I know I’m not going to want to deal with.
Going to go listen to music after that and I’ll probably write again tomorrow. I’m too beat to do any more right now. Plus, I can’t think of anything else to say right now.
Be back tomorrow!
TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 1994 Gloria’s going on the Arsenio Hall show now, so I’m taping it.
Boy, was I pissed yesterday! I was browsing through the TV guide and noticed I missed another movie with Norah in it. Tom said not to worry though, cuz this movie is on a lot and it should be repeated within a month. Let’s hope so. In the meantime, every new TV guide we get, I’ll thoroughly check.
I can’t fucking wait till we go to Vegas! The tickets came today. Delta Airlines. Same one I flew out here on.
I typed letters to Kim and Bob and soon I’ll do one for Fran. After Sabrina gets her letter.
Still no messages on Prodigy from Tammy or Marla.
Tom barbecued hamburgers and hotdogs for us earlier. They came out yummy.
Did I mention that I edited Norah? Well, I did.
Got my period tonight, two days early, but it’s not really a period yet. Just dark spotting.
Let’s see…what else can I tell you that I’ve forgotten to tell? Nothing I can think of, so I guess I’ll do some editing or typing. Or both.
Oh yeah - Tom got Andy a spare key. So, if he wants to, he can check on Piggy while we’re gone and make sure the mail doesn’t get all jammed up. This time, though, I hope Andy doesn’t leave his key in the Glendale library.
MONDAY, JUNE 6, 1994 Lots of things happened today. Mom and dad called and Larry was there too, so we spoke.
Today’s Ma’s b-day and she says she got my card and not to bother calling tomorrow cuz she’ll be out.
I finally got to meet Tom’s parents today. They were very nice and Marjorie even gave me a beautiful plant that I hung up out back.
Earlier I recorded that 1-hour of the movie Magic Moments and The Guardian onto an audiotape. I edited most of it and it sounds pretty cool.
I’ve got more to write about, but I’m sort of beat. I’ll write tomorrow and expand on more subjects. For now, I’m going to try to go to bed.
SUNDAY, JUNE 5, 1994 Not that much happened yesterday, but both Fran and Andy got letters from Bob. Andy read me the 6-page letter he’s sending Bob. I doubt Fran will write Bob back, but he asked me to ask Bob if he knows a Dennis C who’s supposedly in some jail on a drug charge. Fran also told me that Sabrina’s about to get her 2nd letter.
I swam today. Tom swam a bit too, and brought over a grill from his parent’s house.
Tom and I began to film the signing video and we had some fun, too.
I discovered another movie Norah’s in called Magic Moments. I only could tape an hour of it so I hope it’ll be on again soon. Tomorrow I’ll also tape her in Nates & Hayes, an incredibly stupid movie, but why not? I hope The Guardian comes on again soon so I can tape it to get parts taken out of the unedited one. Her hair was way too short in Magic Moments. Shorter than I’d ever seen it before, just barely touching her shoulders. In The Guardian, it’s just below her shoulders and in Nates & Hayes, it’s almost to the middle of her back. I wonder what other movies are still out there that I don’t know about yet?
Well, anyway, I can’t sleep yet, so I’ll go watch TV.
Oh - almost forgot. Got a letter from Kim and one from Bob. Today I began BOL #10!
FRIDAY, JUNE 3, 1994 I watched a little TV just now and now I think I will do some editing after all. I listened to music and did the dishes, too. It’s nice to know we’ll have a dishwasher in less than a month.
I just had to stick some Ambosol on my back lower wisdom tooth. On the side that was never pulled. It hurt when I went to eat a piece of bread and it’s throbbing. I sure hope I won’t have to deal with that now.
So, is all this exercise paying off? No. I’m up to a 26” waist again and 103-104 pounds. I give up. I really feel my thin days are over. I’m just not meant to be thin anymore and I’m tired of trying to change myself. Tired of trying to be what I’m not and it just isn’t in me to work out for hours and hours every day. I feel that for some reason or another, I’m meant to get fat. Why? I don’t know, but right after I eat, I feel like I’m still hungry and haven’t eaten in years. To hell with trying to stay thin. It’s just too hard and I can’t change what’s fated to be. I expect to be no less than 110 by September 1st. It’s like my weight is just crying and begging to go up, so I’m letting it go now. It’s free to go wherever it wants. At my height 104 looks like 114, but I can’t hang on anymore and keep my weight where it is now. I can’t keep pressuring myself and trying to be what my body just isn’t.
Later…
Tom got home early today. He’s watching basketball now and later we’re going to have some fun.
We think they have gone to Idaho cuz the van hasn’t been there. Only one car. Any kids I’ve heard have been few and far between and they’re definitely not next door. Well, if they truly have gone, good riddance to them for a few months.
Kim called at 3 PM or so, saying she got a letter from Bob with a warning. A warning letter she’s keeping, in case she ever has to show it to the police to show he’s not involved. I guess they’re going to be making some changes there that have the inmates upset. He was afraid there might be a riot. We’ll just have to wait and see and Kim’s going to be seeing him real soon. Tom said that in minimum security prisons, there usually aren’t any riots. Let’s hope he’s right, and he usually is.
I saw a really weird-looking cloud earlier that looked like a mini funnel cloud.
I guess that’s all for now. I’ll be doing my usual stuff tonight. You know, music, TV, and typing.
Later…
Tom’s watching the end of the basketball game.
I forgot to mention calling Becky today who’s 7. Bill answered at first and thought I was Sue, Tammy’s girlfriend. No wonder, he sounded so unusually friendly. I don’t think the guy really ever liked me too much, but it’s pretty mutual.
Sarah, I still can’t understand, but Lisa said she didn’t get some solos she tried out for. That happens. It happened to me too.
I’ve got to get my dad a Father’s Day card, among other things we forgot to get at the grocery store. I always forget something.
THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 1994 Tom will be home soon, so I’ll write for now. Someone tried to call while I was shaving, but I didn’t get to the phone in time. They left no message.
Today I vacuumed, folded Tom’s clothes, washed my clothes, made Tom’s bed, watched TV, listened to music, typed, sang, and went swimming.
Got no mail today. That’s all there is to tell for now, I guess. I think now I’m going to write letters to Bob and Kim. Saturday we’ll be getting a black ribbon.
Later…
Tom brought home a new box of computer paper and a new black ribbon. I went to print out a picture, but it came out way too dark. I’ll just wait till we get a color one.
I’m printing out a letter to Kim now and tomorrow I may do one for Fran. I hope to get mail tomorrow so I can finish BOL #9. After Kim’s letter’s done, I’ll go listen to music.
Tomorrow’s Becky’s birthday so I’ll call there at some point.
Later…
I decided not to listen to music right now. I’m feeling bored and lazy, but not yet ready for bed. Let’s see - what shall I do? There’s always editing, but I don’t feel like doing that now, either. Too lazy to work out, too.
Andy and Sarah left me a message earlier, but I’m sure Andy’s asleep now. If not, he must be close to it.
You can really see some good color coming out on me. None of it’s from lying out, either. Tom was right when he said the best way to do it is slowly, little by little. I have no sun poisoning, either.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 1994 Today was a typical day around here. Tom worked. I swam, listened to music and watched TV. I also finished typing #6 and now I’m doing #8.
I just trimmed my bangs and did a good job. It’s a wee bit too short, but that’s OK cuz my hair grows so fast. Especially my bangs.
No mail today, but hopefully tomorrow so I can close out BOL #9.
I’m about to write letters to Kim and Bob. The ribbon in the printer is screwed up, so Saturday we’ll get a new one. Last night I reprinted my journal chart bigger cuz I wanted to be able to see it from the bed. I filled in the blind spot.
Earlier today, I received a children’s magazine using a fake name. I suspect it was a gift from Andy. The magazine is offering over 150 stickers for free upon subscription, so I decided to fill out the form and selected the “bill me” option. I am hopeful that the stickers will arrive as promised, and I can use them to decorate various items.
I don’t know if I’m forgetting to write something in here, but if I am, I’ll write it in later. Now I want to start a letter before my movie is done taping in half an hour.

Untitled (“And was wont with doing, we will”)
A sonnet sequence
               First Stanza
Out and I have gone here is come. Are seven. Wildly fancy quite; so thou, then, said she, but even a bud but a possible what I were dead! She is Venus, till fragrant breeze, My Madeline asleep. And was wont with doing, we will bore any sweet will be true. Its own. And yet new! In fact your luxuriant still may love thy head. About thee as his birth, leaves his horses fit for the stream with vague, regardless eyes, for her breathed in Patty’s room in the spring atoms lay, and wait thy weeding; yet hee was most tenderness and quell? Heart of stone! And as she hurried back with thee!
               Second Stanza
In which should despairs, till now, either whom thou wilt; for I, being both from the desert, and, for man she comes in. She said little, but the sun his good deserts drink down from their deaths be near, swear thine heart, and gold- bubbling photo of grief or when I am, and succulent, and sold. It makes one drunk to Antony. To kill myself only. Innumerable of stone! The wander, of Phillis was his legs. And yet thou wreck his black wires grow old … I shall now yours were fair, disdain; he wanderer would pension, her pride, he is confus’d nor sleep, and thoughts hath not fitly done to give? Her tears.
               Third Stanza
Have you smile, and all you sung the Christmas weather strive that freeze. But because some heraldries, The owl, for you the watch. And me, would it have placed as if there appearance lies. And feelings ran their coasts may call, could be equivalent. Things harder to end or to reform a curl that you cannot die, nor with interest, and bugle and strange their fruit. Emissary eye, to find out still he smiles; but then, to make her worst of it, they say, is that I had waited there contemn, nor Usury wrung the latter, waking! Ruined fortune but that my wealth I haue liue I, and kings, and the down, and wore me numb,—yet less than a common sempstress. They never know, front, an ample field, said he, They’re boring men; drinks tears and endless like two grubs on their ever- flourishing. Let no unkind,—and light, stray or stop as the lace that sings a bird on every where: the Spirit quicker than any.
               Fourth Stanza
That heavy Saturn laugh’d and very fair; yet no great matter, waking up repentant to make me; french to boot, at least, their glorious light gleam; to venture so: it fills me well oiled by a Fool? Waving, like phantoms, into the vines bare to eat a sum of sums, yet resigned his society? A Camel, and charioteers caught your heart of stone. And let me be your company; not that I meant at all. Add what is so; and whiskey, I with tempests play. On her hands. As he rode like an inmate owns: another ties add what is known to all new techniques for to enjoy. Do I dare?

Now don't you worry~
Dr Fate and Cyclone use their powers to keep Grimm away from the checkpoint, while Circe/Salem observes from her castle, finding the race entertaining for her as she wonders how to racers will handle her Grimm.
It's a never-ending story~
Dr Fate/Ozpin(reducing a Beowulf to ash as a red and gold blur speeds past): Looks like Flash is the first to past.
Cyclone/Glynda(looking into the distance in confusion): Wait, if that was Jaune…
Stand proud and let it out!
Cyclone(pointing at another red and gold blur being closely followed by two blurs, one silver and red, and the other blue and red with blonde): Then who’s that?!
The 3 racers zip past them, easily achieving Lightspeed as they do so! Superboy reaches Lightspeed himself as he achieves the same speeds as human thought, with Oobleck drawing upon the Speedforce to become a living bolt of lightning! Harriet reaches a new top speed of Mach 50 as she passes.
Let 'em know, let it show~
The mysterious red and gold blur from before shoots past Superman and Constantine in Vacuo, followed shortly by the three competitors in the lead!
Constantine(turning to Superman): Hey Tai?
Superman(looking at the competitors speed by in confusion): Yeah Qrow?
Constantine(looking at his flask): Did I drink too much, or did it look like that Jaune kid passed by here, TWICE?
Superman(turning to Qrow as the rest speed past): No, I saw it to…
Wait till they hear~
The Flash(thinking to himself as he starts pulling over from Oscar and Yang): This race wasn’t really about beating them.
The Flash(as he pushes himself faster): It’s really about beating…
Till they hear~
Lisa(checking the photos from the checkpoints in the Grimmland border and Vacuo in confusion): That can’t be right…
The photos appear on screen to show…
Lisa(in shock): THE FLASH IS RACING HIMSELF?!?!?!
Hear the sonic youth!
The Flash(as he sees HIMSELF running ahead of him): MYSELF! Or more accurately, the afterimage I made from my first lap around the route.
We are the sonic youth!
The Flash(as he catches up to his mirage duplicate): I took off at around Lightspeed at the start and slowed down once I reached Vale again.
Now you know what I'm made of~
The Flash(pulling alongside his double as they rush across the dunes of Vacuo and head towards the mountains): This handsome devil didn’t become visible to other people until we passed Atlas. Not even Oscar or Yang could see him/me!
Hey~!
Superwoman(seeing a picture of her brother-in-law racing himself on her bracelet’s display): Of course, the rest of us are only competing for second place!
Kid Flash(putting on more speed as his mother brings herself closer to the ground): Then enjoy a taste of the Speedforce!
Yang touches the ground and starts running alongside her son as Adrien and Oobleck catch up, all four of them straining to push forward, with Harriet chugging down the bottles of water from the last three checkpoints to keep herself going!
RWBY DC AU #1; Race of the Century!
Lisa Lavender: I’m Lisa Lavender with Vale News, and we are live in Vale at the starting line for the charity event people are calling, “The Race of the Century!”
Lisa(walking over to the start line where the Justice League, Justice Society and Young Justice are chatting with each other): This charity event is being held to raise funds for Beacon’s curriculum and the upkeep of Vale’s borders against the Grimm.
Lisa(as she approaches the participants of the race): As well as answer the question many have asked concerning our beloved heroes, just who is the fastest?
Lisa(as she walks up to Sage Ayana): Here with me is the Justice League’s Huntsman Representative, Sage Ayana, can you tell our viewers about the contestants Mr Ayana.
Sage(smiling): Well not only are we raising funds for Beacon and the upkeep of Vale, we’re also determining who amongst these heroes are the fastest!
Lisa(as the cameraman faces the each participant of the race, starting with The Justice Society’s Flash/Bart Oobleck as he warms up): The Justice Society’s own speedster, the original Flash?
Sage(Superboy/Adrien is shown stretching and channeling aura throughout his body and into his perf-boost semblance): Young Justice’s own Superboy, the Teen of Steel?
Lisa(Harriet is shown inspecting her weapon and angrily glaring at the heroes around her): Atlas’ Ace-Op member, Harriet “Hare” Bree?
Sage(as Kid Flash/Oscar is seen adjusting his red gauntlets and red soles of his black boots, before making sure that his silver mask is perfectly adjusted for his high speed run with help from Robin/Whitley): One of my preferred contestants, Young Justice’s Kid Flash, the Fastest Teen Alive?
Lisa(as Superwoman/Yang is shown going over the route for the race on a map with Batwoman/Blake and Star Sapphire/Nora): His mother, the Justice League’s own Superwoman?
Sage(as The Flash/Jaune is seen eating an energy bar and memorizing the route with help from Green Lantern/Ruby and Green Arrow/Sun): Or will the Flash prove himself worthy of his title, “Fastest Man Alive”?
Lisa(as the camera pans back to them): We should go over the route for our viewers at home.
Sage(nodding his head as he motions to a screen behind him, showing the continents of Remnant): Right! The racers will start here in Vale.
Tumblr media
Sage(Aquaman/Neptune bursts up from the shores of Menagerie with Red Tornado/Penny observing from her place next to the first checkpoint): They’ll have to race across the ocean to reach Menagerie, potentially breaking the sound barrier as they do so!
Sage(as the screen shows Troia/Pyrrha and a large crowd at the second checkpoint in Mistral): They’ll then race to the next checkpoint in Mistral.
Sage(Wonder Woman/Winter is shown on the streets of Mantle at the third checkpoint): Brave the harsh blizzards of Atlas to reach the third checkpoint in Mantle, marking the halfway point.
Sage(while Dr Fate/Ozpin and Cyclone/Glynda are shown at the fourth checkpoint at the edge of the Grimmlands): Cut across the borders of the Grimmlands, passing the fourth point as they go.
Sage(Superman/Taiyang is seen hovering by the fifth checkpoint in Vacuo with Constantine/Qrow zipping from his flask nearby): From there, they’ll continue going as they cross the scorching sands towards Vacuo!
Sage(as the starting line is seen once again): They race across the continent in a full on race back to the starting point here in Vale!
Sage(as he is seen once again): Whoever crosses the finish line first, well be declared the fastest!
Lisa(as Green Lantern/Ren hovers above the start line): It appears as though the race is about to begin!
Lisa(as the racers take their places upon the start line): Each contestant has been given a special bracelet to help track their progress from here.
Sage(as one of the bracelets is shown on Jaune’s wrist, as he pulls his glove back into place, hiding it): These bracelets also provide them with the route they’ll take, as well as record they’re highest speed.
Green Lantern/Ruby(kissing her husband on the cheek as he lines up on the start line): You got this sweetie!
Superwoman/Yang(offended by her sister picking Jaune over her): What am I, chopped liver?!
Green Lantern/Ren(making a construct flare gun once everyone is lined up): Ready?!
Green Lantern/Ren(as Superboy and Superwoman crouch slightly): On your marks…
Green Lantern/Ren(as Harriet assumes a three-point stance and lightning emits from her eyes with a scowl on her face): Get set…
The three Speedforce users’ vibrate in place, generating a great deal of lightning each as Ren finally fires of the green flare to send them on their way.
Green Lantern/Ren(as the flare shots up into the sky): GO!!!
The six contestants take off with a huge gust of wind, lightning and a boom left in their wake.
Only one will win!

Félix & Agustín Headcanons
Agustín has taken multiple hits for his daughters and even his Sobrina & Sobrinos. He’s taken several falling potted planets to the head for his girls, pushed Camilo out of harms way, and once shielded Isabela & Dolores from some bees. Félix & Pepa will forever be grateful to Agustín for every time he’s protected his & their kids.
Félix & Agustín help keep Castia tidy. While their wives & kids go off to help the town, they stay and help around the house. They do the laundry, fix anything broken, feed some of Antonio’s animal friends, water Isabela’s plants, etc.
Just like when Camilo thought Mirabel was his twins, Camilo thought he also had two dads till he was 6.
“What do you mean Agustín isn’t my dad? What next huh? You gonna tell me Mira isn’t my twin? Pfff” “…Mijo do i have news for you-“
It doesn’t help that Félix would play along with the idea of Mirabel being his daughter (“Course she’s my girl! She has my charming looks”) and making kissy noises towards Agustín. He’d say “Ven paca chulo! Dame un beso!” as he smooshes Agustín face with his hands.
Aside from Julieta, Félix also likes to cook. He’s the one to make lunch for the familia. If the family’s busy out helping the town he’d take them their lunch. Whoever he finds last he sits and eats lunch with them.
Agustín & Félix take a day out their week to spend time with Bruno. Félix calls it their “Boys Night out”. While they’re out, if anyone dares to udder a single harmful word towards Bruno, it’s gonna end up in a fight. No one, absolutely no one is allowed to dis their brother-in-law.
After the fight the boys take their time getting home so they can come up with an excuse why they’re covered in brusies. Whatever lie they settle on doesn’t get the chance to be used cause already Julieta, Pepa, & Dolores are waiting at the doors of Casita to give them a healing meal and an earful.
When it’s just Félix & Agustín at home they end up chatting out on the back porch and talking about all the amazing things their kids have done that week and don’t get them started on their wives. They’d stay there talking passionately about them for hours.
Agustín is the number one fall guy for the kids. If they ever broke something or did something they were told not to do he’d 100% take the blame for them or hide it if he can. Luisa broke a vase? You know me honey, tripped over the darn thing. Antonio let his animal friends in the kitchen after you told him not to? Starts cleaning the mess & shooing any left over animals as fast as he can.
Félix has a hand man apron made by Julieta. He wears it every time he makes lunch and when he offers to help Julieta with making dinner.
These two have absolutely done the “You know what’s better than one baby? Two babies!” Both when they had Isabela & Dolores and Camilo & Mirabel.
After her gift ceremony, Mirabel spent a lot of time at home. She’d spend her time helping around the house with her dad & tío. Agustín & Félix would try their best to cheer Mirabel up. They’d make her laugh, let her run trough the hanged laundry, give her extra lunch/dessert, or just sit and talk with her. If she falls asleep Agustín or Félix (depending who she was with) would carry her around as they continued doing their chores.
That’s all I got for these two! Love the Madrigal Husbands 🧡💛💙💜

Constellations Ch. 3
Prev. Chapter - Next Chapter - First
[2500 words guys. 2500 words of just getting him to school. Also the only one about to be more miserable than Draco....is Wes. I wonder what new rumors and conspiracy theories will spring up from this new information :^) ]
"Man, when was the last time we walked to school together?” Tucker asked as he came jogging across his lawn. Danny gave him a grin.
Draco shot him a look, "You don't usually walk to school?"
"Did you want to take the school bus?"
Draco winced, recalling the one and only time he had ridden the Night Bus. If muggle buses were even half as bad as that….well, he could appreciate Danny forcing him to walk instead.
“Wait!” Tucker skidded to a stop, “Is that your long lost wizard twin?"
Said long lost wizard twin made a distressed noise as he grabbed Danny's shoulder, "You told him about magic?!" He hissed.
"Uh, yeah?" He said, looking completely unconcerned about breaking one of the most important wizarding laws ever. “I tell my friends everything - stop making that face at me!"
Draco didn't let up his sneer, "Did it ever occur to you what would happen if my parents found out?!"
"That's why I never mentioned it."
Draco made another distressed noise, "You are the reason my hair is going white. Mother and Father are never to find out about this."
"Well duh?"
Tucker kept a few steps back, eyes narrowed dangerously. "You aren't about to explode my tech are you? I heard what Danny went through."
Draco rolled his eyes. "Are all muggles this concerned about their 'techology'? What use does it even provide?"
"Oh no." Danny muttered.
Tucker gaped at Draco, "What use-"
He was suddenly in Draco's personal bubble, and Draco had to swallow down the urge to shove his wand in his throat. As it was, he couldn't stop the hiss coming from between his teeth.
“I will show you the true wonders of technology you poor depraved soul.” Tucker whispered.
“Danny make him stop.”
His absolute traitor of a twin brother just laughed at them and raced ahead. Tucker gave him a maniacal grin and pulled no less than four different electronics. “I will teach you everything I know!”
“Danny!” Draco screeched as he raced after him. “Don’t leave me with him!”
"I will have you using a cell phone by the end of the week! You can't hide from me!"
The three of them raced down the street till they came to Sam's house, who gave them an unimpressed look when they stumbled to stop.
"This is what it takes to get you to go jogging?"
Danny gave her a big grin while Tucker wheezed next to him. Draco took a moment to catch his breath and examine Danny’s other friend.
Sam just looked over him, an unimpressed look on her face, before asking Danny “You’re actually going to take him to school?”
“Uh yeah?”
Sam grinned darkly, "You are about to throw a rich snob into a small town public school for the first time in his life. There is no way in hell I am going to miss this."
Danny looked like he was having second thoughts and Draco elbowed him. He was already out in public in muggle clothing and his hair a disaster, no reason to turn back now.
"Your name means almost nothing here." Sam stated. "The Fentons are the town joke, and Danny resides at the bottom of the teen social ladder. The kind of special treatment you're used to in magic land, you won't get here."
Draco grit his teeth, "I am already aware of that, thank you."
She looked at him for a few moments, "Not yet you aren't."
She linked arms with Tucker and pulled him towards the school, effectively ending the debate Draco was about to start with her. Danny sighed, "Yeah, yeah I should have expected this. C'mon, I gotta talk to Lancer and Ishiyama about you shadowing me for the rest of the week."
“What exactly am I supposed to do at a muggle school?” Draco asked.
Danny just shrugged, “Same as us I guess. A lot of nothing. Though I guess it’s one way to learn about non magical people in a safe environment.”
“You threatened to throw me in a dumpster.”
“I told you someone else would throw you in the dumpster. It’s not so bad actually.”
Draco made a disgusted noise.
"Oh look, we're at school!" Danny scrunched his nose, "Ugh, never thought I'd sound so thrilled about that. Anyways, we need to stop at the principal's office and see if it's okay for you to shadow me for the rest of the year. It's only like, for two weeks and we're not doing any actual work so it should be fine. But we still have to get permission."
As Danny talked, he dragged Draco towards a brick building that seemed to have various holes in the wall. Draco wrinkled his nose, expecting something run down and mediocre as it was a muggle public school. But the holes did not endear him to the structural integrity of the building.
There were a bunch of students already loitering outside the school, and heads and whispers followed the pair as Danny pulled him up the stairs and through the doors.
Draco was rather used to the attention that came from being a Malfoy, both good and bad. But this attention seemed so much more….unsettling in the wake of his brother. Maybe it was the cruel smirk on a girl's face as she leaned to whisper in the ear of her blonde friend. Or the way a couple of broad shouldered boys elbowed each other and snickered.
They wouldn't be doing this if they knew he was a Malfoy.
'But you're not a Malfoy right now, are you?' Said an annoying voice in his head that sounded vaguely like Manson.
He told the annoying voice to stuff it.
"Hi Principal Ishiyama!" Danny grinned as he poked his head in the door.
The principal sighed wearily, already reaching for a pen, "Detention again Mr. Fenton? School hasn't even started for today, this might be a record."
Draco shot him a look and Danny flushed, "Uh, no. Not this time. I actually had a question."
She raised an eyebrow, "A nice change of pace. Very well, what's on your mind?"
Danny walked into the office with Draco following him. Looking around, Draco noticed that the office had none of Dumbledore's odd extravagance of his own office. There were filing cabinets and bookshelves filled with binders and books. She had a few muggle objects on her desk along with sentimental photos. There were two comfortable looking chairs in front of her desk and a plant in the windowsill. It was all very...normal.
He was expecting something more rundown and poor. Especially considering how the outside looked.
"Who is this?"
"This is my twin brother, Draco."
Principal Ishiyama blanched, "There are more of you?"
"I cannot believe I am going to get kicked out and I haven't even been allowed in yet." Draco muttered.
Danny stepped on his foot. "From my bio family. We recently found each other last summer and we've been getting to know each other. I was wondering if it would be okay for him to shadow me for the rest of the year? He kinda came earlier than we were expecting and he usually goes to boarding school in Scotland and I didn't want to leave him at home all day cause….you know."
Principal Ishiyama winced, "Yes I'm well aware. I suppose it would be fine. Your parents know where he is?"
"I called them before leaving. You can double check-"
"No no no, that's fine!" Principal Ishiyama interrupted. "I just need him to sign some safety waivers, and make sure you show him all the proper protocols. Does he have health insurance?"
"What is 'insurance'?"
"Yes!" Danny said loudly, stepping on Draco’s foot again. "Don't worry about being sued, we're taking care of him."
Draco shot him an incredulous look as the principal pulled some papers out of her folder and handed them over.
"Normally I'd have the parents sign it in person, but I suppose you can bring it back tomorrow. No need to call them in right now, I heard they're working."
Danny grinned, "Yeah, somewhere by the docks. But I mean it wouldn't take long for them to get here with Dad driving-"
"We don't need more property damage at the moment, Mr. Fenton. Just get the papers back to me in the morning." She waved them out of the office. "And do try to keep up this streak of arriving on time."
"I'll do my best Principal Ishiyama." Danny said as he dragged Draco back out of the office.
"I have questions." Draco stated.
"I might have answers."
"What is insurance? And why would I need it for my health? And safety protocols?"
Danny stared at him. "Dude, I told you about the ghosts. I spent all year writing to you about different attacks. You should be aware of the ghosts by now."
"I didn't think you were serious about that. Ghosts aren't dangerous."
"Oh Ancients my brother is a dingus." Danny groaned into his hands. "Look, you won't believe me until you see for yourself-"
"But ghosts-"
"SO! Just….whenever the ghost alarm goes off do whatever everyone else is doing. Actually, never mind, I'll have Sam watch you."
"I don't need to be watched-"
"Are you being purposefully antagonistic right now?"
"Ooooh, Danny’s using big words now." Sam drawled, "Everything all set up?"
Tucker threw his arm over Draco’s shoulders, ignoring the way he was trying to squirm away, "Okay so this is a cell phone."
Danny held up the papers, "Just got to sign some waivers. We're gonna be twin peas in a pod for the rest of school."
"Oh joy. Now there's two Fentons for Dash to bully."
"I feel bad for anyone who tries to bully Drake."
Draco glared at Tucker. "Remove your arm before I remove it for you."
Tucker hastily pulled his arm back, "And this is a PDA, her name is Marie the 3rd. And this-"
Sam smirked, "I'll be sure to record all future interactions. Come on, we gotta get to homeroom."
Draco walked next to Danny, looking thoroughly annoyed with Tucker's impromptu technology lesson.
Mr. Lancer raised an eyebrow when he saw the tag-a-long to Danny’s usual trio. "Mr. Fenton?"
"This is my brother Draco, he's shadowing me for the rest of school."
"The Crucible!" He exclaimed, dropping his pen, "There's more of you?"
Sam cackled next to him.
Draco sighed wearily. "Are all your professors going to have the same reaction? I'm beginning to regret this."
"Ah, my apologies Mr. Fenton, and….Mr. Fenton."
"It's Malfoy, actually. I'm not a Fenton."
"Mom and Dad say otherwise."
Mr. Lancer looked distressed, "Please take your seats, both of you."
Danny grinned and pulled Draco, who was getting rather annoyed with being dragged everywhere, to some desks in the back of the room.
Draco made a face as he sat down, not enjoying the cheap plastic….everything the classroom seemed to be made of. He was used to the sturdy, solid wood desks from Hogwarts. Or the ornate, carefully crafted desks from home with protective runes etched in decorative patterns to keep the desk from breaking.
Draco's face twisted in a grimace, "Are these desks….sweating?" The entire thing squeaked as he shifted to put his hands in his lap.
Sam snorted, "Pretty much. Hot and humid weather, mixed with cheap (recycled mind you)* wood and sketchy air conditioners equals sweating desks. You get used to it."
"Merlin, help me."
While Draco sat there pitying himself and the idea of sitting at sweating desks for the next two weeks, the rest of the class slowly trickled in, causing the noise level to rise as everyone around started whispering about the new kid sitting with Fenton.
Paulina discreetly checked out the new kid sitting behind her in her compact mirror. "This is a horrible time for a new student to join school. I don't have any time to win him over with my amazing personality and leave him trailing after me in the vain hope of catching my attention."
She reapplied her lip gloss before snapping the mirror shut.
Star hummed in agreement, "Yeah, but do you really want him to? I mean he's cute but he looks pretty friendly with Freaky Fenton."
"Yeah, but Manson looks like she's taking pleasure in his suffering in lieu of knocking his lights out. Anyone that could get under her skin is good in my books."
"Doesn't she usually look like that though?"
Kwan leaned across the aisle, "Hey, does anyone else think new guy and Fenton look kinda alike?"
"Kwan what fuck." Dash scoffed, "They look nothing alike! Fentonoski looks as geeky as normal and new guy looks like a prep school reject."
The tardy bell rang. Which, didn't really matter to the students as they were all in there and didn't affect the noise level at all. Mr. Lancer standing up to call roll did shut them up for the moment though. Partly because he tended to give extra homework to students messing around during class, but mostly because they wanted to know who the new guy was sitting and chatting next to Danny Fenton of all people.
"Daniel?"
"Here."
"Draco?"
"Present."
Whispers started back up again, and Mr. Lancer sighed, but continued on. They weren't hindering roll call and sometimes it was just easier to let them get it out of their systems before class actually started.
"Weston?"
"Here." Wes growled, eyes on the new kid sitting next to Fenton.
"Please face the front instead of staring at your classmates two rows behind you Mr. Weston."
Snickers erupted around the classroom and Danny winked at a flushed Wes, who saw it just before he turned, leaving Wes fuming in his seat. He didn't know who the new guy was sitting next to Fenton, but it was clearly Fenton once again trying to make his life miserable. He just had to figure out how.
Mr. Lancer sighed. "As you may have noticed, we have a new face here with us. Mr. Draco Malfoy will be shadowing Mr. Fenton for the remainder of the school year."
"Okay, but why?" Mikey asked.
"Draco is Danny’s long lost twin brother from England he met last summer." Sam drawled.
There was a snapping noise and heads whipped around to see Wes clutching a broken pen and looking like he was about to cry in frustration. "There is another one of you?" He said in horror. Blue ink dripped from the broken pen in his hand.
Mr. Lancer pinched the bridge of his nose, "Mr. Weston please go to the bathroom and clean yourself up."
Wes stiffly got out of his desk and ghosted (heh) out of the classroom, still clutching the broken pen in a death grip.
Draco closed his eyes, already completely done with muggle school. "If that continues to be the reaction to me being your brother, I think I will take my chances with your parents."
Star turned in her seat to give him a pitying look, "Oh you really haven't been in Amity that long, have you?"
….
*(Virco school desk chairs, which I had through most of school, do in fact seem to sweat when the weather gets all wonky. And they are made from recycled, fortified wood. Look up a picture and tell me if you had these same desks, I wanna see who else experienced sweating desks in public school :P. Tag list below the cut.)
Also Draco is wearing a white button up and black slacks because he is still a snob and refuses to wear casual cloths.
Tag list, as requested in the notes: @ladylynse (okay you didn't ask to get tagged but this all started because of you and your anons so....)

KinnPorsche: Episode 11
notes: Spoilers! I brought you some cold tea, just like you wanted. Ep 10 /// TOC /// Ep 12
In this episode: No judgements if this is your jam, but come onnnnn- Vegas' libido looks like it involves far too much effort for too little payoff. Kind of the same way I think about hard drugs or being a serial killer. So much work! But perhaps I'm just lazy- that’s why I'm single, relatively sober and all my murders have been crimes of passion.
Tumblr media
Timecoded Review
2:42 Pete's hip tattoo- "No legacy is so rich as honesty". I'm feeling uncharitable so I'll just say that's the kind of tattoo a nineteen year old sorority girl would get on spring break in Cabo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vegas is right.
7:21 oh wow, really? Pete was undercover and now he mysteriously wants vacation and you aren't going to check in with him. Kinn is worried, Porsche is wholly unconcerned.
Tumblr media
Boss of the year right here
9:09 Vegas threatens Pete's Grandma- what a dirtbag.
Tumblr media
12:20 Tankhun, I never thought I'd be so happy to see you. Back to the main plot! The family discuss Porsche's future with the organization. Kinn admits he's in love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Porsche is called onto the carpet and corroborates this statement.
Tumblr media
The bodyguards rejoice and are probably making a moodboard with wedding ideas right now. Dad says Porsche can stay in the organization, but as a bodyguard not a boyfriend.
Tumblr media
15:59 Meanwhile in the storyline I didn't sign up for, Vegas takes his hostage Pete to a delightful resort.
17:13 at least he's nice to his hedgehog
Tumblr media
21:06 Detective Kim at work again. Actually we should call him Analyst Kim because all he ever does is skim the information collected by others. That's ok, It gives me the opportunity to gaze enviously at all his rings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sidebar: I really love all the jewelry in this series. If you know where I could get a paperclip chain necklace like Vegas', please let me know.
Tumblr media
22:30 Porsche and Chay have a heart-to-heart about the dangerous reality of Porsche's job. Wait till Chay finds out about Kim! I'm trying very hard to like Chay's character but honestly I find him clueless, petulant and cringe in turn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
30:00 Kinn and Porsche get romantic and they don't have to hide it anymore. Have they ever? Have they ever had sex without the curtains wide open?
Tumblr media
“... that I'm going to close the blinds.” haha he doesn't
31:33 Hey it's Nick and John from Duran Duran who have stopped by to tease the new couple.
Tumblr media
That night they all end up at the club with Yok who is now a proud mother-in-law. I love her so much.
Tumblr media
34:00 Kinn asks Nick and John what he should get Porsche for his birthday.
35:00 Vegas' dad slaps him for having bad taste in books. No actually to berate him for his ineptitude in business dealings. Perhaps Vegas should spend less time kidnapping and torturing and more on shady business deals.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
37:45 Chay meets Tankhun and Tankhun's giant fun fur coat. Tankhun threatens to become like a parent to Chay.
Tumblr media
39:35 OH NOOOOoooo, Chay finds out that his "boyfriend" is Kinn and Tankhun's baby brother. Chay looks confused, but honestly, doesn't he always?
Tumblr media
40:00 aww vegas is tenderly patching up the wounds on Pete. Since Vegas inflicted these wounds, I award him no points for this altruism.
Tumblr media
Pete spits some important truth about abuse and abusers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
45:40 Chay confronts Kim. Kim says he only tutored Chay because he is Porsche's bother. Ouch. Chay doesn't take it well. Maybe try again after you hit puberty, kid.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
47:21 Kinn ands Porsche take a chopper ride as they make a desperate bid to secure southern Laos as part of Operation Lam Son 719. I kid- they merely take a tour of the city. Alas, they do not take out the Deutsche Bank building.
Tumblr media
51:20 Ah, romance. Kinn and Porsche join the .3 mile high club. Also we see return of the product placement poppers from episode 1 which are actually some sort of snortable energy booster
Tumblr media
stay classy, boys
Tumblr media
52:13 Kim goes to the local temple to harass a retired detective who apparently was on the case he is investigating. Kim finds out it was his father who ordered all of the information about this mysterious case erased.

The reader is the fiancé of chris evans, and its the Day of the wedding and the reader is nervous, and the ceremony is cute , they have written there own vows, and the reader announce that she is pregant , and chris like you joking right, the reader so like i found out 2 weeks ago, and i waited till today to tell you, with a lott of fluff thanks and if its ready you tag me right
Tumblr media
Hi @maximeevansblog, my friend. Sorry for the long wait for this one. I had a really fun time writing this! Thank you for the request, it’s really such a sweet idea. <3 I hope this does your request justice, and that you’ll love it!
A/N: You may find the vows really familiar, that’s because it’s mostly made up of different Disney quotes, haha! I’d imagine Chris’ wedding would be Disney themed, or least Disney inspired? He’s such a huge Disney fan after all! While reading this, you may want to listen to this, which was kind of the song I was picturing the reader walking down the aisle to. Also the ring that Chris gave to Y/N looks something like this.
Tumblr media
Comments and feedback are really appreciated! Pictures are not mine, but all mistakes in this are mine. Stay safe everyone!
All that months of preparation had finally led you and Chris to this day. You sat alone in one of the dressing rooms of the Concord Youth Theatre, reminiscing the journey you and Chris took, just to arrive on this very day. It was clear right from the beginning of your relationship that you were both meant to end up together forever. But that didn’t mean it was easy. You learned the hard way, what it meant to date someone as famous as Chris. The media weren’t always the kindest with their words and their judgements, and you admitted that you had fallen into dark moments more times than you were proud of reading articles about your relationship with him. Still, Chris had never let the media be in any way of your relationship. He remained a constant rock, a strong foothold and a protector of you. Words weren’t necessarily needed at all for him to show you his love for you. He did it all through his actions, his time, his patience. No matter how much you loved Chris, he always seemed to love you a whole lot more.
You smiled as you thought back to the day he proposed. Chris had brought you and Dodger on a camping trip, one that you have had many times before. You just had no idea that the camping trip was when you’d become his fiancé. There were no frills, no theatrics. There were just the two of you and Dodger, in the rain, under the mellow moonlight when he popped the question. The rain was soft, but plentiful, on the day he asked you to be his wife. You could still remember the smell, the feeling of the rain pelting on your skin when you answered his proposal with a kiss. That was all that mattered.
You looked up and saw yourself through the mirrors. You were tearing happy tears, as your hand naturally moved up to your tummy to rub it gently. You could feel your heart pounding so loudly it was almost audible in the quiet room. You had requested to be alone for a moment so you could prepare yourself to announce the important news to Chris.
You dabbed your tears away with a napkin, straightened your dress, and exited the room. You passed a few of your close friends outside the dressing room and smiled at them. You further excused yourself to make your way to Chris’ dressing room. Taking a deep breath, you knocked on his door.
“Hey, what’s up, sis-in-law!” Scott greeted cheerfully as he opened the door with a wide grin on his face. You smiled cheekily as he gave you a quick peck on your cheeks. “My brother is so lucky, look at you!” Scott took a step back to look at you.
“Thanks, Scott.” You laughed. “Can I have a moment with Chris?”
Scott nodded and winked at you when he closed the door behind him, leaving just you and Chris in the room. You looked up and your gaze met with Chris’. He was wearing a maroon tuxedo with a bow tie, and your heart almost gave out at the sight. You may be becoming his wife in a few hours’ time, but you’d never stop fangirling over him.
Chris looked at you, his gaze soft and tender. He right hand was clutching on his chest, and you could tell he was trying to form words with his mouth, but nothing came out. You stepped forward to him and placed a hand on his face before tip-toeing to plant a kiss on his lips. “Hey.” You called out.
Chris kissed you back. It was the first time he had seen you in your wedding dress, and you could see from the look on his face that he loved it. “Y/N… You look… amazing.” He finally found his voice. You could hear a catch in his voice as he fought back his tears.
“You look really handsome, too.” You smiled, trying to stop your tears from falling as well.
You stood there with Chris, holding hands, unspeaking, just revelling in that very moment. It was a while before Chris finally spoke again. “Scott’s right, I’m a really guy to have you as my wife.” His voice was firmer now. You buried your face in Chris’ chest and smiled. “I love you, Chris.” You spoke against his chest, almost as if you were speaking right into his heart. You felt Chris’ chest moved and through vibrations from his voice, you heard him telling you that he loved you too.
“I’m really glad we’re having our wedding here.” You whispered, your head still resting on his chest. It was the most natural decision. When you were planning your wedding with Chris, you both had the same thought in mind to hold it at Concord Youth Theatre. This theatre held a very special place in Chris’ heart, and it was also the place where you met him. It was only natural to begin the rest of your life with Chris here.
“Mm, me too.” Chris replied, his hand tenderly rubbing your back.
You had no idea how long the two of you had stood there in each other’s embrace when you finally took a deep breath and gently pushed yourself away from Chris so you could see his face.
“Chris…” Your voice choking slightly. Chris looked at you, a hint of curiosity flashed across his face.
“I can’t believe we’re going to be married in just under an hour’s time. I’m so grateful for you, and I am so grateful you’re going to be walking this life journey with me.” You continued. “I am not perfect, but I promise I’ll use the rest of my life to love you as your wife… and... as the mother of your baby.” You were tearing again as you said those last words to him.
Chris looked at you, his face changing from curious to disbelief. You were almost whispering at the end of your sentence. Although Chris had heard you, he was afraid he had understood you wrongly. “Are you…” Chris held up your face with his hands to look at him, his eyes watery.
“Mm.” You cried as you raised your hands and took both of Chris’ hands to guide them over your belly. “That’s our baby in there.”
“Y/N…” Chris was crying too. He pulled you into his chest and embraced you tightly. You laughed, an cried at the same time, throwing your arms around Chris to return the embrace. "I wanted to tell you this before we head out there." You said, as Chris' chest heaved with a happy sob. He looked at you once again, and kissed you deeply, yet so tenderly. "I love you so much, Y/N."
You only had a little bit of time left to clean up your make up before the actual ceremony. It was easy to forget the concept of time when you were with Chris. Had Scott not come knocking on the door earlier, both of you would have continued to stay in that embrace.
Your girlfriends had rushed in to help you arrange your dress and to ensure you were ready. You had composed yourself by the time they saw you, so they had no idea you were just crying. Your father had come to your dressing room to bring you to the main theatre hall so he could walk you down the aisle. Behind the closed doors of the theatre, you heard the live instrumental music and choir singing of The Little Mermaid’s Happy Ending. The doors swung open, signalling for you to march in with your father. You looked at your father with tears in your eyes. He held out his arm for you to hold it, and gave your hand a little squeeze. Your father walked you down the theatre aisle towards Chris, who was standing at the end. The theatre was beautifully done up on this day with Disney inspired theme – where both of you were avid Disney fans.
You marched past all your close friends and families, throwing them smiles along the way, until you finally reached Chris, who had extended his arm to hold yours. Your father lightly gave you a peck on the cheeks and handed you to Chris. The both of you stood in front of the Minister, facing each other and holding gaze. Your heart was pounding as hard, if not even harder than the day Chris proposed to you. You were about to be his lawfully wedded wife.
The Minister called for Chris to read his vow.
“Y/N…” Chris choked back his tears. “You mean more to me than anything in this whole world. You are my greatest adventure and my dream wouldn’t be complete without you in it. I promise to love you forever, and always be with you. I promise to be the best husband I can be, and I promise to always take care of you. I want to promise you that I will love you and every single future children we’re going to have… starting from this one right here.” Chris vowed, and did a little point at your tummy at the end. As he said this, you heard an echo of gasps across the whole theatre floor. You laughed and smiled at Chris, tears forming in your eyes.
There was no time for your friends and families to fully react to the news as the Minister called for you to read your vows. “Chris, thank you for showing me that love is putting someone else’s needs before yours. Thank you for always putting me first in everything, for loving me so wholeheartedly for who I am. When I look at you, I can feel it. When I look at you, I’m home. I promise to be the best wife I can be, and I promise to always take care of you. And I promise to love you, as much as I’ll love our children.” Your tears were falling freely from your eyes now, just as Chris’ was.
You didn’t look at anyone else, but around you, you could hear your parents and Chris’ parents crying. Nobody else was talking, but the sounds of sniffing were all over the theatre, and you were sure there weren’t any dry eyes at that very moment.
The Minister’s voice gently broke through the sounds of crying, as he announced for the two of you to exchange rings. Just as he announced this, Dodger came running down the aisle with a ring pillow tied around his collar. He came forward to the both of you and sat down with his tail wagging excitedly. Chris bent down to pat Dodger on his head and removed one of the rings from his collar. Chris took your hand in his and slid the ring through your finger. The ring, inspired by the Little Mermaid, was specially designed by Chris himself, which held a seashell and a green gem in it.
It was then your turn. Dodger had stood up so you didn’t had to bend down too far to get Chris’ ring. You had also designed Chris’ ring for him. It was the same colour theme as The Little Mermaid, a movie both you and him loved. You took the ring and slid it through Chris’ finger.
With that, the Minister announced you and Chris as man and wife. The both of you were in tears, as with everyone else in the theatre, when Chris brought your face close and sealed the deal with a kiss.

Backstory
Celestine was born on a Sunday morning within the singing of the birds and raised with her mother Mary Walker for nearly twenty years. For five years, she ran the estate on her mother’s stead and managed it successfully until on March 1816 her mother died of an unknown illness, revealing that her father was indeed alive and was the earl of Edgewater and was waiting for her. She forgave her mother and promised to do right by her on her deathbed.
During the series
Celestine moved within the week to the Edgewater Estate and was equally disliked and intrigued among the ton. In there, she met her father Vincent Foredale, the earl and the two of them had a loving relationship despite their time apart. He named her lady of the house and the heir of the estate, however, in order to truly inherit, she had to marry someone of rank.
She went to London to partake in the season’s hottest event: the marriage market. During the season, she learned the basics of a lady of the high socialite and slowly fell in love with who would be her future husband, Ernest Sinclaire. The two of them declared their love on the duke’s ball, on the last event of the season before the weddings. However, before she could shout it to the five skies, she found herself locked in an engagement with the Duke of Karlington, whom she despised greatly and openly despite her politeness towards him.
During months she schemed against him secretly while holding pretense of being content with the engagement, until her beloved challenged the duke to a duel, where he was injured and the two of them were apart for days. She accompanied her ‘fiance’ to Bath, where she uncovered his true motives of killing the royal family and take the crown for himself. With the information and proof at her hands, she exposed him on her wedding day and he was arrested with charges of treason and locked in the Tower of London.
Now free of the duke, she and Mr. Sinclaire got publicly engaged at last, but her ‘deceased’ brother came back with intentions of taking the estate himself, and what was worse, he had a friend who he had met on his espionage days in France to quash any other threat to the Crown by Napoleon and during weeks she investigated him to find out that the Count was planning to kill Queen Charlotte and the Prince Regent, the future George IV, on her very own wedding day. That day, she duelled alonside her new husband Gideon Payne and exposed him again and he was too locked in the Tower of London.
After the series
On her first Christmas as countess, she decided to give her stepmother the benefit of the doubt, no matter how reluctant she was with it.
Soon, in 1818 she found herself pregnant of her first child, the heir of both estates, Vincent Sinclaire. For years, she was a loved and admired countess and became popular within the ton and proved to be above her heritage and she and her husband were known to be giving and just, helping the poorer and giving them roof, food and a job.
She was a patron of the arts and held patronage to several artists, one of them her dear friend Annabelle Parsons, and raised her children equally and lovingly, proving to be an incredible mother.
In 1872, she passed away, week apart from her husband. She had a peaceful death: she read a book and she fell asleep, dreaming of running around Edgewater’s fields and holding her husband in her arms, finally reunited. She never woke up from that dream. She came to be an example for many future countesses and was very much loved among nobles and gentry alike.

You were sitting on the couch with your mom sitting on the left side, and your father on your right side. You were waiting for the announcement to come on. ‘It's almost 7:00 PM…” you thought to yourself. The holiday you hated the most was about to begin.
Just then the emergency broadcast came on with that ear-shattering sound. And the screen on the TV turns blue with the symbol of the NFFA in the background.
“This is not a test.”
“This is your emergency broadcast system announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge sanctioned by the U.S. Government.”
“Weapons of class 4 and lower have been authorized for use during the Purge. All other weapons are restricted.”
“Government officials of ranking 10 have been granted immunity from the Purge and shall not be harmed.”
“Commencing at the siren, any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 continuous hours.”
“Police, fire, and emergency medical services will be unavailable until tomorrow morning at 7 AM when the Purge concludes.”
“Blessed be our New Founding Fathers and America, a nation reborn.”
"May God be with you all.”
Then the air horn sirens blared meaning the Purge officially began. Your family has already set up defenses. You, of course, never participate. Your family put out blue flowers to show that they don’t want to participate but they support the purge.
You know your parents, they didn’t support this “holiday” at all. Come on now, 12 hours without any laws. Your parents spoke out against it.
Some (well most) Americans find the Purge to be successful. Unemployment rates plummeted down to 1 percent, crime rates decreased, and the economy was revived.
If you are wondering how this came into reality, it all started back in 2014.
(little history of how the Purge became a tradition in American society.)
In 2014, the United States was facing economic collapse, rising social unrest, and multiple wars. The economic collapse was worse than the Mortgage Crisis of 2008. Neighborhoods across the country were destroyed by an opioid epidemic.
Then a party was founded as a substitute for the Republicans and Democrats, they called themselves the New Founding Fathers of America or NFFA.
In 2016, the first experimental Purge took place and it proved to be successful. Then in 2017, the second experimental Purge began this time it was Nationwide.
Not long after that, the 28th amendment to the US constitution was ratified meaning that Purging is now an American right.
The Purge starts on March 21st at 7:00 PM and it ends at sunrise, March 22nd, 7:00 AM. all crime is legal for 12 hours, no killing high government officials, and don’t use explosives or bioweapons. Those who don’t follow the rules will be hanged.
This resulted in crime and unemployment rates dropping down 1 percent, government spending down 37 percent, and the GDP soared to 37.21 trillion dollars.
Still, many people disagreed with this because it was believed that the Purge was used as means of population control, and to decrease the poor population but they couldn’t do anything about it.
(little history lesson over. I just wanna include that part for those who have never seen the purge.)
We got off the couch and went to go do our own things. “Sweetie do wanna eat dinner?” my mom said, I smiled. “Yes please.” she smiled at me and went to go cook dinner. You went upstairs to chill in your room. Your window was boarded up but you could easily remove it when things go down.
————————————————————————————
Time skip (8:00 PM)
————————————————————————————
It's been one hour since commencement. You were up in your room just watching YouTube videos. Your mother was downstairs cooking Lasagna (or whatever your favorite dish is) your father was downstairs watching the news.
The news would keep up with things happening tonight. Were watching a live stream showing what was happening on the outside. Building on fire, people killing each other, and parties. All of this was caught on drones.
You would hear the occasional screams and gunfire in the area but you and your family were secure.
Then you heard banging on the front door. The door and windows were boarded up with wood planks. ‘Who is that?’ you thought, you were worried it was one of your bullies who decided tonight was the night they get to get rid of you.
You went downstairs to see your parents. They had fear in their eyes, then the door busted one. Three men wearing tuxedos with masks on walked in. then they pulled out their guns, that’s when you dashed and went up into your room.
Your parents tried to run but they were quickly gunned down. You could hear gunshots go off and their screams filled the house.
You locked your bedroom door and ran to the window to remove the wood plank blocking it. You could hear the footsteps coming up the stairs. One of them called out to you, “M/n⁓ where are you⁓? Come out from hiding… are you in your room?”
You recognized that deep British accent, it was Tom! Tom Holland from your class! ‘What did I do to him? I never did anything wrong to him!’ but that didn’t stop you from removing the plank. You jumped out the window and ran for it.
Tom busted through your door to see that you have escaped. He gritted his teeth and went downstairs to see his twin brothers sitting down on the couch with their masks off.
“So he got away?” the older twin said. “Yeah, he did. We’ll find him though. He isn’t stupid enough to go downtown. He’ll probably head to his friend's house.” Tom said a little anger that his precious lover had gone away.
“We already took care of his friends. But we couldn’t get to one of them.” The younger twin said, Tom nodded and went out to go find you.
(Btw Tom's parents live in the UK and they don’t know what he is doing. Tom’s brothers are just helping him catch you)

You were running to your friend's house hoping they would help you. You had to be careful while running through the streets, there were purgers everywhere. The city of Los Angeles was crawling with them, especially in the downtown area.
Thankfully you took your phone with you to see what time it was. ‘9:00 PM.’ you turned off your but you made sure it was on silent mode so it wouldn't bring attention to you.
You had a little encounter with Purgers but they were quickly gunned down by a machine gun attached to the back of a car. You saw vehicles on fire, dead bodies, and an old lady just watching a body burn.
‘This is all crazy!’ you thought as you ran faster just to get off the streets but what you didn’t was that someone was following you.
After running for 30 minutes you finally arrived at one of your friend’s houses. You didn’t realize that their barricades were broken until you twisted the knob on the door.
You walked in to see the whole place trashed. You walked through the rooms to see F/N parents dead, lying on the floor. Their eyes were open, you see nothing in them. “Please don’t be dead…” you said putting your hand over your mouth as you tried not to cry out loud.
You slowly walked up the stairs and approached F/N’s room. There you saw it, F/N lying on the floor dead as well. You burst out crying but that ended when you heard a car pull up.
“Find him!” you knew who that was immediate. You couldn’t run anywhere because they were downstairs, and the window had steel as a barricade. So, you hid in F/n’s closet.
You knew they had a pile of clothing in the corner, so you buried yourself in their clothes. You heard their footsteps walking up the stairs, and them breaking down the door. Then you heard them in the room.
You could see a figure walking through a small hole in the clothing pile. You covered your mouth so you wouldn’t breathe too hard. “CLEAR!” the figure yelled and went back downstairs. You heard their conversation from downstairs because of how the walls were thin.
“I thought he would be here!” Tom yelled, and out of anger shots one of his own men. The twins and the other weren’t fazed by this. They knew Tom had a few screws loose.
Then you heard them leave but you didn’t believe they actually left so you decided to stay where you were for the 2 to 3 hours.
————————————————————————————
Time skip (3:00 AM)
————————————————————————————
While waiting you accidentally fell asleep (why? because of plot purposes and I'm the author)and you realized that it was 3:00 AM, 4 hours till the Purge ends. You thought you could stay here but then you smelt something burning.
You got out of the pile to see the room was on fire. ‘What?! How?’ you quickly got and ran before the roof caved in on you. The backdoor was barricaded but due to the fire, it melted the steel allowing you to escape. (is that possible?)
You were on the run again but before you left, you noticed a group of people watching the house burn. ‘Are those my teachers?’ The group was your teachers from different classes. You knew they didn’t like F/N at all.
‘What has this country become?’ if this keeps happening, if more innocent people keep dying, then the nation will become the “Nation of Murders.” you decided to ignore them and run.
But one of them saw you, “M/n? Is that you?” one of them yelled. You froze, ‘how did they--?’ you turned around to see them walking towards you. “Hey don't worry we ain’t kill you. You are our favorite student!”
You looked at them shocked. “Why are you out here? Aren’t you supposed to be with your parents?” you looked down and began to cry. They noticed and said they didn’t need to know.
“Do you wanna come with us? There’s a neighborhood block party.” you nodded and decided to go with them. ‘So I guess they kill the kids they hate.’ they then took you to one of the nearby parties.
But one of Tom’s men noticed and decided to alert the big boss.
(just to be clear, in the Purge series there isn’t a legal purge. Meaning that you can kill someone who is 18 or younger. Now that’s fucked up.)
You and the teachers arrived at the block party. You see everyone partying, some had creepy masks, and others were naked grinding against each other. You lost your teachers in the crowd so you decided to just hideout.
————————————————————————————
Time skip (6:00 AM, one hour till the Purge ends.)
————————————————————————————
(if you are wondering why Tom didn’t show up early, it's because he was busy doing something else….. Or maybe its because I was too lazy to put anything during that time skip)
You checked your phone and noticed it was 6:00 AM. ‘One more hour!’ you smiled as the night was finally coming to an end. The sun was rising in the distance but people were still partying. ‘I survived the night.’
You even began to party yourself in celebration of surviving. You had a couple of drinks but not enough to be completely drunk. You danced with some people. Overall you were having a good time
But that happiness was short-lived when the gunfire began to go off. People were screaming and tripping over each other as they tried to run away. You already knew who it was. Tom fucking Holland and his group arrived
He noticed you in the crowd and smirked as he can finally have you before the Purge ended. You ran away from the crowd to one of those large garbage containers. You hid behind them hoping Tom won’t find you.
You could still hear the screams of people and more gunfire further down the street. You creeped out from your hiding place and walked back to the street.
You were horrified by what you were seeing. Dead bodies everywhere, your teacher’s dead bodies, and some people you were dancing with. All dead.
Then you heard footsteps behind you, you turned around to see Tom there smiling sadistically at you. You admit he was kind of hot but that doesn’t matter right now. “Why are you doing this? I never did anything to you! And did you find me?! ”
(6:55 AM)
“Why’m I doing this? Well, it's because of M/n…… I love you M/n! You never did anything wrong. And how did I find you? Well, remember there's an app where you can track down certain people’s phones? Well, that’s how I found you, that and one of my men told me.” Tom sounded proud of what he just said.
(6:57 AM)
“I thought I could use this Purge night as a way to finally have you to myself! I hope you share the same feeling like me.” you couldn’t believe what you were hearing.
“Tom…. look, you’re a cute guy, hell I would probably have dated if you just came up to me like a normal person would. But no, you went ahead and killed everyone. You killed my family and friends, and you think I share the same feeling like you! No!” you yelled the tension was thick and Tom was angry.
(6:59 AM)
“I loved you! And they were getting in the way!--” Tom took a pause, “If I can’t have then no one will!” Tom charged at you with his knife. ‘What happened to his gun?’
But you quickly snapped out when he charged at you. You dodged his attack but he stabbed you in the arm. He was about to finish when…
(7:00 AM)
*INSERT SIREN NOISE*
The siren went off meaning the Purge had come to an end. Tom was still going to attack but was stopped when a voice came on, “Stop what you are doing! I repeat stop what you are doing! The Purge has concluded. If anyone does a crime, you will face the consequences.”
Tom stopped what he was doing and looked at you, “Next Purge, I’m going to get you.” Tom then got into his car and drove off.
You felt like you were going to faint from blood loss but then someone drove up to you. “Hey, okay?! Oh my God, we need to get you to the hospital!” they picked you up and carried you into the backseat, and drove you to the nearest hospital.
The radio was on and began to report on tonight’s events. “Just after 7:00 AM, March 22nd Pacific Standard, the Annual Purge was concluded. Reports are coming from all over the nation that this was the most participated Purge yet….
364 days until the next Purge...
THE GOOD ENDING
Bad Ending.

“You're finally mine M/n. I’ll keep you forever…. No one will take us apart….”

You couldn't help but feel worried after what you watched on the news. Sam left almost a week ago, asking you to stay with Sarah in Louisiana until he was back, only wanting to protect you. In the hospital, your boss gave you a sabbatical month, after collecting too many personal days. But being locked in Delacroix was eating you alive, carrying your phone wherever you used to go, waiting for a call or a message from your boyfriend that never came.
Helping your sister-in-law to extend the fishing net all over the floor to clean it from algae and trash, you weren't able to ignore it and to not check your notifications again. Nothing more than some emails and posts on your social media. Sarah puckered her lips disappointed for how his brother was behaving when she watched you sighing. She knew his ass was in big trouble, that was for sure. At least, help her with the family business kept your mind occupied the whole day, and it wasn't too bad to spend time with your nieces. They adored you and you used to have so much fun.
“I'm gonna put the boys to sleep”. Sarah informed you, coming into the kitchen while you were finishing your second glass of red wine. “You okay? Has he replied?”
“Nope”. You mumbled, taking another sip.
“He'll be okay”.
You knew it. Sam could be a pain in the ass sometimes, but you were aware of how hard he was. Your sister-in-law gave you a tight hug and left a kiss on your cheek before going upstairs to finish her day with some good sleep. She deserved it after too much work. On the contrary, you stayed there sitting at the dinner table, spinning your glass as if it could make it fill up by itself magically. Like every night, you used to wait an hour before heading to Sam's old room and try to sleep for a couple of hours, mostly waking up every thirty minutes to check your phone again. You weren't understanding why he hadn't replied to any of your texts, at least, with an emoji.
“Baby…”
The whisper dragged you back to reality with just one push, abruptly turning on your chair to the back door in the kitchen. Sam was there, standing in silence with a hand rested on the knob. He didn't seem hurt in any way, but he knew you probably would give him a silent treatment until he compensated you enough. Pressing your lips together and frowning, hiding how much you desired to hug him, kiss him and tell him how much you had missed him, you turned again to face your glass of wine.
Behind your position, you heard him heavily sighing while closing the door. His steps came closer, taking a seat on the chair next to yours. A shiver ran down your backbone when his right knee touched slightly yours, putting your head to the opposite side of his. Sam was conscious that telling you he was too occupied to use his phone only would make it worse, stretching his hand above the table to hold your free one. He was aware of what a simple touch from him could cause on you, taking it in advantage as you sniffed back your frustrated want to cry and yell at him.
“I've misse—”.
“Fuck that, Samuel. And fuck you”. Interrupting him with such a painful hiss, you stood up to empty the glass in one gulp, walking towards the sink to leave it inside.
After what happened with the blip, the minimal thought of losing him generated you a kind of anxiety that suffocated you till making you pass out. Five years. You had been looking for your soulmate for five years. You waited for him, even praying to God to bring him back to you. And when he did, he promised you to never leave again. A week without a single report from him wasn't exactly a way to keep it.
You supported part of your weight against the counter, with both of your hands tightly gripping the edge of it, bowing your head down. Sam pressed his inner cheek with the tip of his tongue, not being sure of what to do. He knew he screwed what he pact with you, even if it wasn't his intention. Believing that it was better if there wasn't any more distance between the two of you, he got up from his chair to reach you in two strides. Your boyfriend urged you to turn around and face him, but you tilted away your head not wanting to look at him.
Crossing both arms on your chest to let him know with your posture that you were more sad than angry, Sam placed his hands on the sides of your neck, cleaning a wild tear running down your cheek by using his thumb.
“You're the only thing in my mind when we're not together”. He guaranteed you, looking for your reddened eyes. “I'm sorry. I truly am… Look at me, please, baby”.
“I saw it on the news, Samuel. I saw what that Captain America did. And you were there, standing next to James. Don't ask me to not be worried”. You spoke then with so much rage still stuck in your throat.
“We will talk about it tomorrow, I promis—”.
“You promise. That's what you said the last time and look at my phone. Nothing. Nothing from you in days”. You reproached him, clicking your tongue and interrupting him again.
“Then, I don't promise. I assure you I'll answer any question you have tomorrow”. His orbs stayed in place, not moving a single minimal inch from yours.
You didn't reply. No word came from your mouth. Mouth that he didn't hesitate to bring to his. Sam only gave you an ephemeral kiss, causing you to close your eyes just like him. A sneak peek of what was about to happen. It was no more than a second when you were devouring each other's lips. Desperate, eagerly. His tongue soon invaded your cavity, drinking the sweet moan you couldn't retain as his left hand went straight down your ass. He squeezed it making you slightly lean upon your bare tiptoes, as he made his way to between your legs.
The heat started to strangle you when he slid his free hand under your shirt to grip it around one of your boobs, freeing it from your bra. Your tongue continued fighting his, not caring about the lack of air within your lungs, as you rocked your needed core against the lump growing beneath the rough fabric of his jeans. Sam grunted against your lips, wishing for an instant to be in your kitchen and not in his sister's, so he could simply rip off your clothes and fuck like two animals in heat. He needed to control himself, but he just simply couldn't, hearing your lower pleasing vocals.
“No, no, no, please, Sam...” You sobbed in a whisper, tangling your fingers in his shirt when he tried to take a step back.
“Shit, baby girl… You drive me insane”. He uttered into your ear as your mouth landed on his neck. Kissing, biting, and pulling up his skin between your teeth.
Sam's hands pawed your body strongly, pressing your body against the counter to make you feel what you caused on him. Having to take care of not being heard or caught on action just turned him on high-sky, but he was conscious that it wouldn't be a good scene for his nieces.
“C'mon… lemme take you to my room”. He asked you, finally settling some distance barely breathing, holding your hand to quickly guide you upstairs.
