Taking a moment to post a super rough concept scribby of an idea @psychobind and I have been entertaining more recently, which is:

Wagnas' awoken/"butter-goddess" form having a nest of sorts! 🪺

Because the lore and headcanons behind this subject are so neato and I currently lack the brainpower to write them out, I will be returning later with an additional post speaking more on the matter. For now, enjoy rough scribble. 🎨🐌

WAIT WAIT WAIT HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE

So normally we only get fullblown, extended and dedicated flashbacks for heroic characters in One Piece, the characters who we're meant to root for. The literal only TRUE exception we've had to this rule was Big Mom's flashback. Even fucking Doflamingo's flashback was tied to Law and Rosinante's

So the fact that we haven't gotten a single fucking GLIMPSE at Crocodile's backstory is?!?

Like sure, we haven't gotten like a Moria flashback, but you know, he literally told us all we needed to know himself, AND we got to see glimpses of him in the Wano flashbacks. Arlong didn't get a flashback of his own, but he did get to cameo in Fisher Tiger's flashback. And Rob Fucking Lucci got a flashback that was 6 whooping panels long

BUT CROCODILE?? Not only do we know almost Fuck All about his story, but also have never gotten as much as a glimpse at it? But his backstory has been HINTED and TEASED at multiple times??

Like. I am SURE the "Full Backstories for Heroes Only" rule is going to get broken again, but with Imu and Blackbeard already there just BEGGING to have their beans spilled, can we even be sure Sir Fucking Crocodile is somehow going to become A Villain So Dangerous To The Narrative that he ALSO should also recieve a Full Fucking Backstory?? For his Nefarious Schemes?? AT THIS POINT??

I think it's more likely Oda's been saving up Croc's backstory because it might just completely recontextualize his entire character

Behind the Scenes: Noel's Mental State

Casually taking @psychobind and @soulxsteal around the ol' block for some trick-or-treating before the day ends (here, anyway!) 🎃🖤

Sal and Tsuniah will be escorting them around a friendly little neighborhood tucked away outside of Aeden (likely) to help provide them with a more "traditional" experience. But more importantly...

He will be joining them.

"It is wonderful that you have returned to us. Noel-- All of us, were worried." Not Bokhohn, Bokhohn hadn't given a flying care that she was gone. But Wagnas was not going to acknowledge that.

She was touched by Wagnas' words - though she had to remind herself to be more aware of timespans. "I'm sorry for making you all worry, Lord Wagnas - especially my dear brother. I had originally planned to be away only for a week or two at most, but time got away from me and there were some... different obstacles than usual in my way this time. I can't imagine what lengths he went to in order to find me. It's good to finally be back together again."

She paused, remembering she still had some gifts to give out - partially as penance, but even more so for the holiday season. There were some bottles in a decorative bag and a couple of wrapped boxes that rattled a bit as she gave them to him.

"Oh yes, that reminds me. Merry Christmas Lord Wagnas! I recall both you and Sir Subier love some good alcohol, so I managed to find some for the both of you while I was out and about. Some stronger otherworldly wines for Subier, and some gentler spirits for you... I think this one was a... Surly Templar? It's a spirit without alcohol, so you can drink alongside him without worry. The top box has some Salamat chocolates made with spirits as well - they're quite tasty!"

She did a once-over to check and make sure she gave everything, and thankfully did. Noel was more for giving cards, anyhow. "And finally, that last box below it has some premium hot cocoa straight from Salamat, with some delightful flavors to bear the cold with. There's Salamat Pepper, Comroon Coconut, Melu Mint, and Steppe Wildflower. Enjoy!" She said, twirling about in a pinup pose on her heel while waving goodbye to him. Now to make sure the rest of her presents got delivered on time.

[[ EoS made me go through a lot of old arts that I re-posted on Reddit as a little trip down the memory line :") I believe I drew this Wagnas when the RS2 Tower event came out, judging from the date. I remember seeing the first stage banner shortly after I started playing SaGaRS and being quite surprised by seeing Wagnas/Noel/Roc all human-like, not that Noel and Roc didn't look more human than the others in the first place but I had no idea of the stage play back then XD What Termite Queen!? Orieve loved Noel!? What is going on here!? I did some online search and was kinda mindblown at all this missing lore from RS2! Wagnas became my fave hero back then :'D I'm glad I got all his styles up to now, including his OP counter tank style. ]]

Dash Commentary

Noel saw Dantarg in naught but an apron tending to a enormous beast over an open flame, with Wagnas being... spoon-fed some skillfully-roasted monster meat.

"...Did I miss something?"
