wade fails to guess what creature bambi had made out of clay, seeing as it was more of a blob than an actual animal, and offers to make sugar cookies in an attempt to cheer her up. but, bambi gets too excited and accidentally burns her hand (1,049 word count)

Wade had just arrived home from a grueling mercenary job. He had been shot multiple times today, and his body ached, but the wounds were already healing. He sighed heavily as he set down his duffle bag of gear by the door. His red and black suit was sticky with blood, some his and some from his targets. He kicks off his boots, the sound echoing in their small apartment, and removes his mask. His ears perked up at the familiar sound of Bambi coming barrelling out of their shared bedroom.

"Daddy!" she says excitedly as she hurries over to Wade, holding something in her hands.

Wade looks down at her with a tired but loving smile, "Hey, honeybun. What've you got there?" he asks, leaning down to inspect the creature Bambi had molded out of clay. 

"Made it for you," she says, holding it closer to his face, so close his eyes crossed. Wade chuckled and pushed the creation back slightly.

"That looks great, baby. Is it a…." Wade tries to guess, turning the little creature she had made in his hands. "Is it um…." he trails off, not being able to guess for the life of him what it is.

"It's a bunny!" Bambi snaps with a pout, yanking the clay blob away from him.

"Obviously! I knew that sweetheart; I was just testing you," he smiles, lying through his teeth. Bambi glares at him as she stomps back towards their bedroom, "C'mon now, sugarplum, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." Wade says as he follows after her, "It's just… your creation is so good; it could be so many different things!" he insists, scrambling to say something so she wouldn't give him the silent treatment. However, the silent treatment lasted up to 10 minutes with her. She'd always come out of whatever room she had hidden in, dragging her feet and crawling onto Wade's lap with a cute pout still on her face.

"Whatever…" she mumbles as she sets the creation on the nightstand beside their bed. Wade walks over to the closet, fighting the urge to smile as he pulls out comfy clothes. She was adorable when she was mad.

"How about once I get dressed, we make those cute pumpkin sugar cookies you wanted to try?" Wade proposes, and Bambi immediately snaps out of her slump, already hurrying towards the kitchen to get them out of the fridge. Wade chuckles as he pulls on a clean t-shirt and follows after her.

Wade watched over Bambi's shoulder as she placed the cookies on the tray. She always wanted to do things herself, but he wanted to ensure she wasn't doing anything incorrectly, resulting in accidentally ruining the cookies. The last time they made cookies, he let her take over, and she burned them tremendously, resulting in a meltdown from Bambi because they were the last cookies in the box.

Wade sighed contently as Bambi crawled in his lap while they waited for the cookies to bake, her legs draping over his thighs. He leans back against the couch and wraps his arms around her, pulling her closer against him. His hands roam over her back, rubbing and caressing her skin soothingly. Bambi happily nuzzles her face into his neck, melting into his embrace from his familiar and comforting smell. Wade was having a similar experience, enjoying the scent of her shampoo.

"You smell so good, sweetheart; I could just eat you up," he smiles, nuzzling the side of her face, eliciting some giggles from Bambi. Bambi grabs his hands off her lower back and guides them to her stomach; she has always enjoyed belly rubs. Wade chuckles under his breath and squeezes and massages her soft belly. "That feel nice?" he asks, and Bambi nods against his neck.

The oven begins to beep, signaling that the cookies are done baking. "I'll get it!" Bambi says excitedly, getting off Wade's lap in a flash as she practically runs into the kitchen. Wade chuckles from her eagerness and follows her, his pace far less hurried.

Bambi was so excited about tasting the cookies that she forgot to grab the oven mitts and grabbed the cookie sheet in her hand, crying out in pain. 

"Baby!" Wade calls out as he runs into the kitchen, his heart pounding, "What happened? Let me see." Wade demands gently but firmly as he takes her hand. Bambi sniffles and lets out a choked sob as he examines the burns on her hand, "Angel, we talked about this," Wade says as he leads Bambi over to the sink to run cool water over the burn, "Only Daddy's allowed to play with the oven. You were supposed to wait for me."

"I know…just got excited," she sniffles, tears beginning to stream down her cheeks as Wade holds her hand under the water. 

"I know, you just need to be careful. I don't ever want to find burns on these cute little hands," Wade smiles, trying to lighten the mood. After a handful of minutes of keeping the burn under cool water, Wade wraps it in a cool compress. "That should help a bit," he says, lightly patting her palm.

Bambi's nose was red, and she still had tears in her eyes as she looked down at the compress around her hand. Trying to cheer her up, Wade quickly got the cookies out of the oven and popped one in his mouth while he put them on a plate. "C'mere, little one," Wade says as he lifts Bambi with one arm while holding the plate of cookies in the other. He carries her back to the couch and sets her on it without dropping the cookies. 

The rest of the night consisted of Bambi nibbling on cookies while Wade dramatically reenacted the fights from his mercenary gig, managing to produce fits of giggles from her while using a banana as a prop for a gun. While Bambi watched with rapt interest, he danced around the living room with the banana, acting out his adventures from today but in a less gory fashion. 

"And that little one," Wade pants, pointing the banana at Bambi as he finishes his reenactment, "Is why you don't mess with Daddy," he says, blowing on the tip of the banana.

A little piece of heaven [Part 1]

Pairing: Wade Wilson x Original Female Character x Logan Howlett. Summary: In Wade's timeline, Iris is his supernice upstairs neighbor. In Wolverine's, she's his beloved dead wife. A/N: This is a Wattpad Fic with an original character of mine that you can find here. This is just the first chapter that I wanted to share with you. Warnings: Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers, kinda.

Chapter 1: Refraction.

When they entered the room she was in a corner, elbows resting on the table as she talked passionately to Vanessa. Logan's gaze was instantly hooked on her, ever since he realized how her delicate features were exactly as he remembered. He froze, inhaling sharply as the memories came back flooding. Her gentle touch, her soft melodic voice, her cute laugh.

This wasn't, of course, his Iris. He tried to pinpoint each difference as soon as he could but both her beauty and her lively nature were tearing him apart.

Her silky blonde hair fell in blowout waves and her lips were a glossy crimson color. She wore a strange piano pleated skirt that barely covered anything and a mesh blouse that showed the bright red bralette she wore underneath. It felt like a desecration to his wife's memory. A sexier, younger, messier version of what she used to be.

Yet she laughed, her eyes crinkling, her small tooth gap showing. And her shoulders shook, and she talked, and her voice was gleeful and melodic. Iris swayed to the music delicately, timidly and then smiled at her friend in front of her.

She was a sight.

Logan felt Wade's hand gently tap his back and understood that he knew. Rage filled him. The little fucker knew, even back when Logan had told him about his dead wife. The little fucker knew and he hadn't told him that it wasn't like that in every universe. Wade knew that in his, Iris was alive and well. He was going to stab him as soon as she was out of sight.

Logan turned to leave but Wade put a firm hand on his chest and pushed him into the picture, acting as if he didn't know what he was doing.

"Wade!" Iris turned around, smiling sweetly, "I thought for a second there that you weren't going to make it! This is actually my outfit for your funeral!"

"It's the most hideous thing I've seen in my life and yet you managed to pull it off!" he answered snappily, with a smile as sweet as hers, "I came back and I brought you a gift."

Logan frowned, not remembering Wade taking anything from the void. Then, he felt his hand firmly press against the back of his neck, like he was some kind of kitten being carried by it's mother, as he dragged him and pulled him onto Iris. 

He was actually going to stab him right there.

"For me?" Iris followed him suit, putting a hand softly on Logan's shoulder, but giving him an apologetic look when they made eye contact, "I've always wanted a Wolverine!"

"Oh, sweetheart" Wade pressed his hands together and tilted his head, "I know."

"You shouldn't have..." And then she laughed, and extended her hand out for him to shake, "Iris Finch, a pleasure."

She looked up through her lashes and Iris had always had such plump, soft and inviting lips that, despite knowing it wasn't his wife, he wanted to kiss her. 

He managed a nod, his voice barely audible, "Pleasure."

And Logan tried to avoid her for the rest of the night. Emphasis in 'tried', because Wade didn't seem to respect the fact that that was not his dead wife. No, this Iris had dirty blonde hair and she never got her teeth fixed. This Iris used a different perfume, a cheaper one, and seemed to like Wade's jokes far more than what Logan was comfortable with.

But just like his Iris, she had an impecable intuition and every time he wanted to take a look at her, she stared back, giving him a smile. Just like his Iris had, she timidly approached, a known curiosity in her eyes that he missed dearly. And he was back there all over again, feeling endearment for her already.

"I know this is sudden, and maybe a bit forward, but I don't remember you."

"Oh, I'm not from..." he tried to explain, his voice rough, "I'm from another..."

"Timeline, I know" she nodded, fidgeting with the beer in her hand, "I meant..." she looked back at Wade, who was finally talking to Vanessa, and then gave Logan a bashful smile, "What was your Iris' abilities?"

Logan frowned. His Iris. He knew the distinction, he knew the distinction, but how did she know he had a Iris? He licked his lips, feeling uncomfortable, yet he answered "Lucid dreaming."

Iris nodded, "And she never told you what dreamwalking was?"

He felt his nostrils flare and anger start to get a hold of him. He didn't understand why yet, but Iris' existence alone was starting to enrage him. Felt like an impostor, uncanny and profaning.

"No."

The girl, oblivious of his annoyance, smiled widely and started explaining in depth the abilities of his beloved dead wife. To be fair, she was explaining her own abilities but Logan didn't want another version of Iris telling him something about her. 

"...And that's why every time I fall asleep, I usually see a Wolverine." she continued, making him raise his eyebrows "And of course I don't think I've met every single one of them, but I'm pretty sure I would've remembered you if I had!"

"In order for you to dreamwalk into another universe, you need another you inhabiting it, right?"

"Yeah."

"Well, my wif... Iris" he corrected himself, making sure that he was staring straight into her eyes and making himself clear, "Has been dead for over twenty years."

Iris's smile faltered, replaced by a look of genuine surprise.

"I... I'm so sorry. I didn't know. I thought..."

Logan's anger was slowly simmering down, replaced by a cold, hard realization. It wasn't really her fault that she was another version of the love of his life, however fucked up that was.

A long silence stretched between them, filled only by the soft murmur of the crowd. Iris was the first to break it, smiling yet again. 

"So, you're my new downstairs neighbor, huh?"

A/N: I hope u guys understand where I'm going with this... And yes, I'm going to make a side fanfiction where I write the sweet, tragic story of Logan and Iris of his timeline.

A little piece of heaven [Part 4]

Pairing: Wade Wilson x Original Female Character x Logan Howlett. Summary: In Wade's timeline, Iris is his supernice upstairs neighbor. In Wolverine's, she's his beloved dead wife. A/N: This is a Wattpad Fic with an original character of mine that you can find here. Warnings: Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers, kinda.

PREVIOUS PART.

Chapter 4: Wine, weed and Wade.

A week went by and she didn't hear much from Wade or Logan. She wondered if his new roommate had already figured out a way to murder him or if he'd gotten trapped in another reality all over again, yet she found the quiet good enough to begin grading her tests.

She got a carefully curated collection of sweet wine, a good stash of homemade cookies and an old Altoids box that she kept since high-school, with freshly ground weed. She was going to do just fine, she just needed a bit of Chappell Roan in the background and she was good to go.

Or hot to go. 

Heh.

Iris didn't go out much on weekends. She usually just put on a good show and tried to retake the work she left during the week, like then, or listened to her playlist while she baked something, like she planned to do that afternoon. It's not like she didn't enjoy people's company, she was just much more comfortable alone, or next to Wade. 

To be honest, her whole ex situation had made her a bit of an introvert.

But forty grades in and she was already starting to miss human interaction. And grading over 120 students, about an hour later, made her wonder what she was doing with her life. 

She really needed a smoke.

Iris grabbed her cardigan, slipped on her flats and took a hold of the little Altoids box and her glass of wine before stepping out into her balcony. It was that time of the semester where every single student appeared to have lost all of their brain cells.  

"Burnout, sugarplum?" she heard Wade's voice beneath her. She let out a sigh, smiling to herself, "Missing me already?"

"Feeling lonely without you" she played along dramatically, rolling a joint. There was a faint smile on her lips as she fidgeted with it in her fingers. 

Wade chuckled, his voice carrying up to her. "Aw, come on, Rainbow Eyes. I was just about to raid your fridge. You know, for research purposes."

Iris rolled her eyes at that, imagining the ridiculous anecdote he would tell her once she inquired about his absence, "You craving my questionable left-overs, baby?"

She leaned over the balcony, just to check the reaction he had to the pet name. He looked up at her, mouth agape and then, slowly, he raised Mary Puppins in his hands, enough for her to gently lick what she reached of Iris' chin. Iris giggled loudly at that, and she could hear a frustrated groan from deep within's Wade's apartment.

"He's not taking this well, is he?" she whispered.

In response, Wade looked somewhere inside his living-room and yelled, "Can you shut up? I'm trying to flirt with your wife!"

Iris eyes widened at that and she could only see her friend disappear abruptly, being yanked by a clawed hand. Mary Puppins let a small cry when she was left on the floor, and Iris pouted at the thought, staying with her joint in hand curiously, to figure out what was happening downstairs.

She heard glass break, a few things being tossed aside and some muffled insults before she could realize there were at least 20 tests ungraded. She took a long drag of the joint and came back inside, barely able to imagine the chaos unfolding. 

She paused the music, attentively trying to decipher the words being said. The rampage was somewhat comforting, and much more fun than any show she was starting to finish. She finished her joint as she stared at the student's name below her. Miles Morales.

Yeah, that was probably her favorite student. At least one kid who would get into college and appreciate her efforts to educate them. 

She finished her joint, careful not to burn the papers. Then, she took a sip of wine and scribbled down the the few notes that praised the kid's wit. 

He'd made a great fucking essay right at the end of the test. She smiled sweetly, correcting a few grammar mistakes and underlining the beautifully phrased answers Miles had written. Too focused to hear the heavy steps on the stairs, so the ring made her spill a considerable amount of red tint over the kid's test. She inhaled deeply.

She would have to photocopy it. Couldn't take the risk of anyone finding out she drank while grading, though she was pretty sure most of her colleagues did.

"Wha... What?!" she yelled out, a pinch of annoyance gripping her voice.

"Hey, you were the one giving me fuck me eyes ten minutes ago" She heard Wade's muffled voice let out, making her roll her eyes with a grin, "Don't play with my feelings like that!"

Iris stood up from her comfortable position in the floor and made sure that her knitted shorts were covering her butt cheeks completely, because lord knows what Wade would say if he saw all of that but, thinking it a little better, she raised the waistband and let it hug her curves comfortably. Let him stare for a while.

"Quit fighting or...?"

In front of her, as she swung the door open, where both her best friend and the man of her dreams (literally, that is). Iris raised her eyebrows, wondering what could she possibly have done to deserve this amusing visit, but Logan scanned her figure thoroughly and looked away, and she was once again self-conscious of the length of her shorts.

"'Sup" she tried to appear nonchalant. 

"My, my, my..." Wade let out, giving her a little spin, "Look at you, tripping and working. I bet your students love you."

She giggled, stepping aside to let them in, "My students don't give a shit."

Her friend hummed in answer and took in the sight of her apartment. She guessed that, after a week (a bit more if she included the time he was out fighting the TVA) he couldn't see the faint changes she had worked on. A few more shelves, the baby blue paint all over the walls.

It was only a matter of time, she had bought the apartment after all.

"Did you do this all by yourself, sweet cheeks?"

"Who would've helped me, Wade?" she let out, turning to the fridge and walking over to promptly search what she knew Wade was looking for, food. And, just for the sight of moody Logan right behind him, two beers.

He looked good, Iris realized as she gave him the bottle with a gentle smile. I mean, Logan always looked good but it was even better when she was herself, looking at him through her own eyes; she wondered what could her version of that universe have done to put a ring on his finger.

Her ogling was interrupted by Wade putting an arm around her shoulders. She could see the reaction Logan had at that, his jaw clenching, his fists giving a silent warning. It was a lie if Iris said she didn't like that, so she rested her head on Wade's shoulder.

It was impressive how his mouth opened and Logan was pure rage. He said something about Iris' fuckable thighs, she wasn't really sure, but she knew it was more in a playful tone, than a seductive one. Either he was trying to get himself killed, or make his friend objectify her.

"I'm going to finish grading" she stated, gently nudging Wade to the table, "Eat your food, kids!"

He grinned happily in response, getting a hold of Iris' cabinets to take out the plates he was going to wash afterwards with the rest of her dirty dishes, because he wasn't a fucking animal. 

"You're a teacher?" Logan inquired.

Iris, already settled on the floor (right in front of her very comfortable couch), looked up at him mindlessly and nodded. She just had five grades left. She was so going to finish them and take a nap, but the gaze burning her skin was a bit too distracting.

"What?" she giggled playfully, "What's so mind blowing about it?"

He opened his mouth to answer but nothing really came out. She realized there was definitely something mind blowing about it, but chose against prying too much and gave him a kind smile instead, taking a sip of what was left of her wine.

She wondered if the ring in his hand had her name engraved on it.
