Where do we go from here? Chapter 2
Sevikaxfem!reader
Summary: You reminisce about how your mother did everything she could to try and make sure you had the best chance of hopefully leaving Zaun some day. Leading you to now where you finish up your shift topside before heading back down to the undercity to try and find out more about the new councilor. Running into some familiar and unfamiliar faces.
A/N: I wanted to get this posted on Valentines day but we're just gonna have to settle for the day after. I hope those who celebrated had a much better day than I did lol.
Anyway, I rewatched S2 with a literal notepad trying to jot down anything cannon that seemed important. Like I COMPLETELY forgot Jinx burned down the last drop before going to kermit. And really I know this fic doesnât need this much work, but Iâm an insane person. Idk if I mentioned but OC / Reader is from Zaun, I personally cant FATHOM the idea of Sevika after 41 years on this planet hooking up with her oppressor lmao ONE slip up even ONE smart ass comment that reinforces our class divide in a fight (cough Caitlyn cough) and Iâd personally bounce so I canât imagine her sticking with a Piltie lmao. Like I love Mel to bits, sheâs hot as fuck, face card unmatched, but some of yall act like she wasnât looking at Victor all of S1 like she was ready to call him a slur lmao. But I get Melvika I really do, put some of the baddest bitches together, Iâm not mad in theory but in execution??? Small side eye lol (Also I'm fully on board with the idea Lest is trans like her VA and Ran in NB.)
You can still remember that day so clearly. The brisk early morning breeze and the slight chill it caused. The air up there was so⊠different than what youâd grown so accustomed to in Zaun. Wind collects on your small face, blowing back two little braids tied off with bows. The cobbled terrain slowly smoothing out into easily walkable pathways, buildings not too far ahead. You recall the warmth of your mothers hand surrounding your own. How on occasion sheâd stumble a bit and lean on you, and like a good daughter youâd brace your small body to help her find her footing. The buildings were a lot closer now, and once you both hit the main road she stopped to slowly kneel and look you in the eyes.
Patting down your school uniform, she tries to make sure you look as tidy as possible, straightens your socks and double knots your small shoes.
âOkay honey, do you remember what I told you?â
you nodÂ
âDo you remember the landmarks I told you to look for?â
you nod
âAnd you have the paper with everything on it incase you get lost?â
You turn and reach into a zipped pocket on your small satchel, pulling out your emergency notes before looking back at her.Â
âGood.â She returns the paper to its safe spot in your bag.
You remember just how confusingly sad she looked, the slight increase in the tightness of her grip on your small shoulders.Â
âOh my big girlâ she moves to hold both your hands in hers. âYouâre going to have a great first day okay?â Your only reply being a small squeeze of her hands.Â
âYouâve got to get ready to go Ivy.â
âŠ
âC- can you walk with me a little more?â The hesitation clear on her face, she fights it but you can see the tears starting to form. She looks away to view the city before you both, early morning sun just barely creeping in before looking at you in the small Piltover school uniform. She canât help feel a sense of pride on how good the uniform looked. The stains, popped seams, and broken zipper no longer an existing factor of this second hand uniform sheâd manage to get her hands on. Perfectly steamed and pressed, no one would ever be able to tell it wasnât new.Â
Her eyeâs drift to her own worn in clothes, colors dingy, and very much so unbelonging up here.Â
âI- I cant honey⊠Mommyâs sorry.âÂ
âIâll be waiting right here though, in this same spot once you get out, okay?â The disappointment in your large brown eyes was something she could hardly bare. She tries to think of something better to say, anything to make this better, but before she can the sound of a door from one of the homes near by shuts.
And there stood another child, right around your age in a similar uniform.Â
âŠ
âCome on.â She slowly brings herself to stand, trying to gently approach the child.
âExcuse me! Little one!âÂ
The Vastayan child turns to face you both and greets you with a polite, âYes maâam?â
âI couldnât help but notice you and my daughter have on the same school uniform, and today is her first day, sheâs quite nervous.â You look up shyly at the child, quickly meeting eyes before looking back at the ground.
âI canât walk with her all the way to the school, would it be alright if my daughter walked with you?â
The child looks between you both.Â
âSure! I can walk with her!â They exclaim before holding out a small hand and you canât help but look back at your mother.
âGo on loveâÂ
With a brave step you take the childâs hand. âWhatâs your name?â they ask with optimistic eyes, giving your hand an affirming squeeze.Â
You glimpse back at your mother before turning to the child, âMy name is Nimah.âÂ
You look back your mom who is smiling wide and nodding her head in approval.Â
⊠âWhats yourâs?â
âIâm Lestair!â And the child starts walking with you in tow, excitedly chattering at you. Both you and your mothers nerves ease a bit. Turning around you give a small wave to your mom, which she returns.
And as soon as you two round the first corner she finally sheds the tears sheâs been fighting back. Gods she hoped this would work, she needed this to work.Â
âSheâll be okay. Come on now, gather yourselfâ spoken with a deep inhale and wipe of her face.
She turns behind her, seeing the bricked path leading back to Zaun, she looks back to your direction at the beautiful gleaming city. And on hesitant legs she begins the walk back.Â
In the lower region of Piltover sits the Atherium Library, a beacon of ancient tomes and archives. The vast domed ceiling, crafted from stained glass allows light to cast in  hues across the marble floors. Positioned under the grand library clock is a large orrery turning slowly in silent precision. Looking up you recognize its 12 minutes past your shift, you needed to leave. Now.Â
Trying your best to rush and grab your things without looking too frantic you make your way outside of the Library doors. The blinding sun hindering your vision for just a brief moment before a sharp whistle pulled your focus. Shielding your eyes you look for the source until you spot tall white ears under a veranda.Â
âLest!â you quickly trot over to your friend. âHey! I don't have much time to chat, the first council meeting should be letting out soon and I want to try and catch the new-â
Interrupting she hands you todays paper documenting the introductory council meeting, listing the names and districts of the new board members, all of which happened⊠yesterday.
â-councilor. â
âSorry dear, looks like you got your dates mixed up.â
Letting out an exhale of disappointment your shoulders drop as you toss the paper on the table she was leaning on. ââŠGods above.â
âI really wanted to see who Zauns new councilor wasâ you mention while taking the seat in front of her.
âThats what happens when youâre constantly wringing yourself thin, you lose track of the days.â
âI know, I do really itâs just- this is without a doubt the best job Iâve ever had. And I like covering shifts! Your people pay such good money for surprisingly little labor.â
âYes, yes so youâve said my little archivistâ she mutters while taking a sip from the drink sheâd previously ordered.
âWhat has it been. Two months? And they still haven't found out about... Â Nimah?â
You quickly silence her with a sharp âtsst! I love you dearly, stop talking.â
âThereâs no one near this side of the corridor, weâre fine. I suppose Iâm just⊠shocked is all. Through you I've been able to see just how... gullible my people can be.â
You shift forward, resting your elbows on the table, âSuch blind trust is given to any official enough looking document. But what brings you to the tail end of Piltover?â
âWhat I canât come check on an old friend?â
A beat passes as you hold each otherâs stare, then, almost simultaneously, you both snicker. âWhat do you want from me now?â
âSuch insulting assumptions, I have something for you this timeâ she says while placing a box on the table, âmother was asking of you again.âÂ
âAw, your mother still thinks of me? Sheâs always been so kind.â
âOf course she does, youâre the only person she knows from Zaun, she worries for you. And sheâs been shopping a lot more since retiring. Sayâs she sees things in second hand shoppes you might like.â
You filter through the box of nearly new clothes. You couldnât help but lament on just how wasteful topsiders could be.Â
âSheâs the one thats insistent I continue to keep in touch with you anywayâ she says snidely.Â
âOh no, Iâm so sorry youâre being forced against your will to still talk to meâ you say sharing a brief pause before the two of you break out into a quiet laugher.Â
âSo what will you do now, thereâs only her first name in the paper not a face.â
âAnd that was information I already had, Iâm going to have to ask around, see if I can find out where she frequents.â
âIâm surprised you donât already know her.â You canât help but roll your eyes at her comment.
âNot everyone in Zaun knows each other Lest. Plus I do know she ran with Chem Barrons and I try to avoid them and their lackeys as much as possible.â
âI see.â She murmurs while looking back at the list of new councilors.Â
âŠ
âMight I ask a question?âÂ
âI donât see why notâ you muster while following her gaze to the same spot in the paper.
âIâve just recently noticed, why donât people from Zaun have last names?â
âMost of the populous are orphans friend, family names donât always make it down if thereâs no one to remember or document it.â
âI see, interesting.âÂ
You raise a brow out her.
âWellâ, she says standing from her chair âmy good deed for the day has been completed.â
âIâm so honored to have been the recipient of such selflessness,â you both laugh as you join her in standing from the table.
âThank you again for these, I need to get back to the Promenade and change before heading back down.â
âNaturally, you canât really afford to stick out.âÂ
Grabbing your things you make your way to leave, âIâll see you around okay?â
âHeyâ she reaches out, holding your hand in an affirming and loving grip.Â
âStay safe.âÂ
and you return the gesture with a small squeeze.
âYou too.â
And with that you part ways with your childhood friend. Swinging through a public stall in the Promenade to change back into your regular unprofessional non piltie clothes before making the trek back.Â
Once home you clear a space on your couch from the small stack books and place the box of clothes down before moving over to your desk to write out a proposal for the new councilor. In it you offer your assistance, as someones whoâs managed to sneak their way up into Piltover a good portion of their life. You can get her information from archives if she needs, point her in the right direction for any questions she has about topsides political affairs. While finishing up the letter you hear a thunderous crash coming from outside your window. And since chaos often breeds information, you head out and make your way outside towards the source of the commotion.
âHuh⊠when did this place go up?â you whisper to yourself as the men working tear down the charred walls of what was The Last Drop. Youâre then informed by one of the men that apparently Jinx tried to burn the place down before that big fight. âThankfully someone caught it in time before it had a chance to spreadâ he says. Â
âOh wowâ you mutter, taking in just how badly the building looked.
âWowâs right girlâ another man, this one older walks up next to you.
âCan I ask you something?âÂ
âWhy not, gotta keep moving though so come along.â You follow the man into a more structurally sound part of the exposed building.
âWhat do you think of the whole, Zaun getting a council seat thing.âÂ
âHonest? Never thought Iâd live to see the day. Iâm not one to feel hopeful anymore at my age but I canât help but feel a little⊠somethinâ at the idea.Â
âYou all talkinâ bout the new Councilor?!â shouts a younger man, carrying a wheelbarrow of burn debris making his was over to you.Â
âThieram! Come over boyâ the older man waves him over.
Out of breath the younger man manages to get out, âI was so shocked to hear they actually made us a seat, almost didnât believe it. And weirdly enough Iâm honestly  grateful to hear it was Sevika who got offered the chair.âÂ
âOh yeah?âÂ
âYeah, used to see her all the time when she was working upstairs with Silco. As scary as she is if anyone understands all the shit thatâs been going on in Zaun its her.â
âIâll have to take your word. Iâve never met herâ you begin to follow Thieram to an area where they were ridding waste and charred debris.
âCount yourself lucky, the womans a force. If you saw her back when she had that insane arm youâd shit a brick. Storming into topside next to her with that thing was insane.â
That got your genuine attention, âYou fought in that?!â
âHeh, yeah quite of bit of the old staff joined in. Iâm grateful to have been one of the ones who made it back,â the man nervously rubs the back of his neck.
âWow⊠thats- â
âWait you said her arm? Whatâs up with her arm?â
He looks at you after unloading the wheelbarrow, âThe one she had during the fight was made by Jinx, definitely a design only she would come up with.âÂ
âThe one before that wasnât half bad either.â the older man piped in as he walked past you both..
âOh yeah the one that took shimmer? Donnovan outdid himself on that one.â
âDonnovan?â you look between the two confused.
âYeah older dude, his weapons shop is a bit deeper in the lanes past the roundabout.â
âHuh⊠well thanks for the insight.âÂ
âYeah no problem.âÂ
And with that new info you head over to your next lead till you hearâŠ
âWait!â Thieram now running to your side.
âSo⊠you just interested in learning more about the fight that went down?â
â⊠Certain aspects of it, yesâ you give him a questioning look.Â
âWell I mean, since I was there I can always give you a rundown sometime if you wanted to know more?â he begins to nervously rub at the back of his neck again. Letting out a small chuckle you politely decline his proposal, âI think Iâm good, thanksâ while continuing to walk away.
âWell if you ever change your mind just let me know!â
Turning on your heels you give him a parting wave with a roll of your eyes before looking for Donnovans.Â
Youâd never really been on the weapons district side of the lanes. Pulling your hood up you tried to stay inconspicuous as you looked for the shop. Passing through the deeper recesses, you hear deals being struck in hushed voices. The large crowd moving with purpose, you try to keep up til you finally see the round about Thieram mentioned. Stepping out of the way of traffic you scan the nearby buildings.
âHey Don hold the door!â
Your eyes searched for the voice to find it belonged to a younger man holding a large crate walking into a small building that has definitely seen better days. The door being held open by a smaller, much older man. This had to be the place, trenching through the crowd once again you make your way into the building which alerts a little bell.
âWeâll be with you in a sec!â a voice shouted from the basement workshop down the hall of the building.Â
âIâm in no rush!â you retort back.
Looking around at the array of tools was almost overwhelming. Your mother tried her hardest to keep you out of this side of the lanes when she was alive, but as you got older you could recall a few memories of sneaking around here with friends once playing topsider no longer became an option. School was expensive, money runs out, people die, and you had to find your own way after a while. Interrupted by your thoughts the older man clears his throat and walks up to his counter.
âWhatdya looking for miss?âÂ
âI was curious, do you limb prosthetics?â
âOnly on occasion, and when the money is right. Why do you ask? He looks you up and down, âyou look like you got all your limbs.â
âAsking for a friend, someone recommended you. Could I see what work youâve done?â
He turns to a filing cabinet and flips through some manilla folders until he finds the ones heâs looking for. Splaying its contents on the table were the blueprints for a bladed hand replacement, weaponized leg prosthetic, and then you saw it, a bronze left arm with junctures that looked like they held viles. He notices your fixation on that one, âOh that was one of my best.âÂ
âIâm sure you know already but this bad boy used to belong to the new council chair of Zaunâ he gloats puffing out his chest.Â
âNo⊠really???â it almost left your mouth sarcastically but you reeled it in just enough to sound slightly exaggerated.
âOh yes! See hereâ he pulls out more blueprints and early sketches from his time mocking up the piece. And in the midst of him excitedly talking about something he was obviously very proud of you found a way to ease in some questions. Specifically if he thought someone who owned a weapon like that was fit to be councilor.Â
âHa! thats a loaded question.â the young man interjected, carrying a small machine up from the basement.
âYeah sheâd been using that thing nearly all of Silcoâs reign over Zaun. Canât say I was too happy with what it was used for but, when money like that comes in itâs hard to turn down just cause of some morals.â He proceeded to put the device on the counter before getting started on his tinkering.
âIâm not surprised to hear you feel that way son, you were just a child when Silco took over the lanes. I didnât know her too well before his takeover but we were familiarâ he mentions as he grabs the two other unrelated blueprints to store away.
âI do recall seeing how she tried to clean up house after his death but too much time has passed, I canât say I know what kind of person she is now.â
"K- KRRNNCH!" the jarring sound of broken and twisted metal comes from the device the apprentice was working on.Â
âI hardly touched it! I swear Don I was doing like you told me!â he sputtered out quickly trying to explain himself to his boss.
âCome on, letâs get the hood off and see what you brokeâ Donnovan and the young man head down to the basement area while you stayed to look at the blueprints, âWeâll be right back.â
âNo problemâ you waved them off.
Looking through the documents you notice there are a lot of duplicates, to which you quickly fold up and pocket away. They had plenty, youâre sure they wont notice a few missing. You quickly gather up whats left and start to clean up the stack when he comes back. Handing him the papers you thank him for his help and let him know youâll keep him in mind for your friends new piece before walking out the door.Â
Playing detective was starting to wear you out, especially since you decided to do all of this right after work. Accepting what youâd gotten for now your stomach lead you back to a pub not too far from your home. Once inside you placed a togo order and grabbed a drink while you waited. This place was way more packed than what you were used to for some reason. Looking through the crowd of loud patrons one in particular caught your eye.Â
Making your way over to the pool tables you see the familiar face lining up their shot, and right after taking it you butt in with a loud, âDouble hit.â
âLike hell it was-â they shouted, annoyed and turning to see the source of the false call only for them to break out into a grin once they notices itâs just you.
âOh shit whats up Ivyâ Ran goes to pull you in for a quick side hug. âSince when do you hang out over here.âÂ
âI feel like I should be asking you that considering I actually live on this side of the lanes.â
âTrue, theyâre still working on rebuilding The Last Drop so we had to find somewhere to goâ they shrug off, before going to line up their next shot.Â
âThat makes sense,â you notice the woman at the bartop is waving you over to grab your order. Making your way, you snag your dinner and head back over to Ran.Â
âHey can I ask you something.â
âShoot,â they go to lean on their pool cue.
âYou used to run with jobs with Sevika right?â
An abrupt hand gets placed over your mouth before they turn in their cue and drag you outside the bar.
âHey maybe donât ask that kind of stuff in a big crowd like that. But yeah I used to some time back. Why are you asking anyway? Most make the effort to avoid her.â
Rans eyes then narrow in on you as they get closer. âAre you in trouble or something? What did you do?â
Extending your arm you push on their chest to get some space back. âNo jeeze, and I havenât done anything⊠Iâm just asking.â
The glare of disbelief Ran gave you made itself clear, but they continued on anyway. âSince word got around that she accepted the Councilor position itâs been real hard to get a hold of her these last few days. Either they got her up there doing who knows what or sheâs trying to lay low for a bit. Theyâre probably driving her insane already.Â
You continue to listen intently, watching them fidget around with their metal hand while talking.
âMost of Zaun seems pretty hopeful about her being on the Council tho. But it might just be the shock that they finally acknowledged us. No oneâs bold enough to say shit to her right now though with all the change happening.â
âHuh⊠I see.â
âSo?âÂ
âSo what?â
âWhatâs got you so curious shorty?â they ask giving your shoulder a playful shove.Â
âI have something to offer her. Itâs important.â
Rans face falls into a more serious stare.Â
âIve-â
âDonât âIveâ me Ran, we arenât kids anymore, Iâm fully capable of managing on my own.â
âHa! Sure, maybe against your average thug but her?? Really??â
The baffled expression on your face gets a small chuckle out of them. âItâs not like Iâm not challenging her to a fight! I just!-
You then realize you were shouting.
I just need to give her a letter, you relay in a lower volume while pulling the envelope out of your bag.
Cocking their eyebrow at you Ran gets back into your space, âYou want me to get it to her?â
Immediately you recoil your hand holding the letter back, âFuck no! youâre gonna open it or lose it or something!â
Ran steps in once more causing you to move back and make contact with the brick wall behind you. Their metal hand now by your head propping them up as they lean in to talk to you.
âOh come on Ivy, donât do me like thatâ the shit eating grin creeping on their face.
Unconvinced you hold their glare, only for Ran to concede with a roll of their eyes.
âLook you have my word I wonât open it. AND Iâm more likely to see her around than you.â
The skepticism mustâve been clear on your face because they continue, âCome on, what other options you got? Keep running through Zaun asking suspicious questions?â
You hate to admit it but they were right, now it was your turn to yield.
âRan I mean it, un opened. None of that heating up adhesive and resealing it shit.â
âFine.â They say snatching the letter out of your hands, âSo what do I get in return for such a kind favor?â
âGods above,â you roll your eyes, âWhat do you want?â
âYou know what,â the say tapping the edge of the letter on your forehead, âwhen Iâm ready to cash in my favor Iâll come for you.â
Stepping forward you go to push past them, âGee thanks Ran.â
âAnytime Ive!â the shout, seeing you off with a wink while you wave them off to head back home.
Finally back home and done with the day you sit at the small dining table to eat before going through the clothes Lestâs mother got you. Looking them over you notice some small stains, a popped seam here and there but aside from that perfectly fine clothes, âso wastefulâ you mutter. Choosing one of the outfits for work tomorrow you grab your mending kit to sew up the small patch, and hit the cuffs with a quick iron to take some of the wrinkles out. Sealing the outfit in a laundromat bag you hang it from one of the pipes that cuts through your apartment into the next, and finally after such a grueling day you go climb into bed trying to get some rest before work tomorrow.

In Carol (2015) the way Therese reacts when Abby gives her the letter from Carol has really stuck with me
Itâs how she immediately just gets up and leave, like if she doesnât read that letter then the world will end. In fact her world will end because she was so confused why Carol left and it was all she could think about.
I feel the emotions of this scene so much because I understand how she is feeling. This film is the epitome of the lesbian relationship feeling and it represents all of the feelings felt in a lesbian relationship. This detail is a 10/10 moment from me because it shows just how much Therese loved Carol.

A/n: I UPDATED EARLIER THAN USUAL!!! YAY My writing at the end is really shitty but just ignore it and stay HAPPY. Take care and have a nice week.
Part 1,2,3 & 4 you can find in Navigation
âââââââââââââââââââââ
Rain hit you immediately as you left the house, groaning you took your bag, holding it above your head, shielding you from the rain.
You made quick steps to the car, not wanting to get soaked by the cold water, falling from the sky.
The day Addison came back from her trip, visiting you, it also rained. You smiled to your self as the memory floated your mind.
âWhat are you thinking?â Addison asked, staring at you in disbelief. Looking up at her, with no idea what she was talking about, you scoffed. âHoney, you know how important it is to eat. And now itâs even more important, youâre still recovering.â she lectured you. You wondered how she knew about that. But then it hit you. Meredith.
Yeah she had most likely something to do with that. If not her than Christina or even both. At that thought you rolled your eyes but regretting it immediately after, as you heard Addison softly scoff beside you. You looked at her as she glanced at you angrily.
âI missed you, Addison.â you told her, smiling cheekily at her. âThis is not gonna help you know.âshe again scoffed but you saw her smiling as she pulled something out of her bag.
You quickly got into the car, driving to the hospital. The rain constantly tapping against your car, kinda annoying you. So you turned up the radio, listening to the song playing as you waited for the light to turn green. But in your mind the images from 4 weeks ago still playing over and over.
She handed you a wrapped sandwich, looking at you strict. âNow be a good girl and eat up.âshe demanded, as she looked down at your hands unwrapping the paper the second she finished her sentence. Luckily she didnât saw your face right now, you were blushing. Youâre whole body grew hot and a tingling feeling spread in your lower abdomen.
She finally looked up for your dismay, trying to catch your eyes as you did the exact opposite, trying everything to avoid eye contact. No one said something, Addison trying to figure out your sudden change in behaviour and you hiding it from her prying eyes.
Suddenly she chuckled, leaning closer and tilting her head as if trying to study you even more precisely. As she said the following words âYouâre so good for meâ slow and her voice almost dropping a whole octave. Youâre composure failed completely, your hands stopped movement and you couldnât control the breathy almost not audible gasp leaving your throat. Still Addison noticed every move you made and if not the blush adoring your cheeks wouldâve betrayed you one way or another.
She hummed knowingly, as a grin creeped up her face. She decided to tease you a bit more about the new information she got about you. Honestly she enjoyed it too, a bit more than she probably should.
She didnât waste a second and stood up from the chair beside your hospital bed. She grabbed your shoulders, making you scoot a bit forward. She took the newly place behind you, sitting on the bed with you in front of her, her legs angled on each side of your body.
You didnât dare to lean back, not wanting to get even more nervous. This woman was driving you crazy. But she wouldnât have it, not even a moment after she settled in behind you, she gently pulled you back by your shoulders, making sure your body is laying on her completely.
You were stiff for a minute but her soft, warm body and her welcoming smell drew you in, so you let yourself go and cherished the moment. Sadly you were still hot all over and she hadnât in mind to let you recover.
âYouâre really bothered by this. In a good way.â she said out loud as one of her hands rested on your abdomen. âBy what ?â you asked silently, looking down at her hand. âYou knowâshe hummed, leaning to the back of your neck, skimming her lips over it, till she arrived at your ear, caressing it softly with her nose, making your heart beat faster. âYou like it a lotâ she noted âwhen youâre being called a good girl.â she whispered her hot breath meeting your skin. You gasped, this time a bit louder. Youâre skin on fire and overly sensitive. âSo goodâ she said her voice low, leaving a kiss behind youâre ear. You tilted your head to the side, youâre mouth practically hanging open as slow long breaths left your mouth. Addison took the hint and left three more kisses on your skin, almost making you moan, since the pleasure was something you hadnât experienced in your whole live.
âGood to know.â she chuckled, caressing the skin of your arm with the other hand. She finally decided it was enough, for now.
âNow eat your sandwichâshe demanded.
Even just thinking about what happened made your body feel heat all over. But the fact the sandwich was an Pb&J made your heart flutter. She remembered.
But enough of that, you left your car in the parking lot, making your way to the hospital entrance.
Walking along the main hall of the hospital, you got slightly nervous. This wasnât your first day ever but your first day in this hospital. And you couldnât shake of the unsure feeling that settled down in your body. You hadnât really worked for 4 month and this is a really long period of time. At least you had some time to study as you rested.
You opened the door, finding an empty locker room in front of you. You hummed happily, finding your locker to change into scrubs. It wasnât unusual that no one was around this time of the day. The interns usually started their shifts early or late and with the end of the shifts it was the same. So the fact that it was middle of the day explained a lot.
In your scrubs and ready to go, you looked for the so called chief Webber. He wasnât easy to find, the annoyed nurses would ether brush you off or point you to all kind of different floors.
Arrived at the OB part of the hospital, you find the certain doctor in pink scrubs talking to a male intern, handing him the charts.
The man took the charts but said something with a smug smile leaning forward, making the red head chuckle but shake her head. An unwell feeling spread in your chest, as you saw the scene before you, but you brushed it of immediately, thinking there was no need to be upset. She said something and brushed him of with a push of her hand. He turned around beginning to walk away as he suddenly catches you in his way, the same time Addison spotted you.
He pushed out his chest, making a straight line to you while he put on a charming smile. Your eyes still lingering on the women a few feet behind him as he began to speak. âHey theyâre. Youâre staring at me arenât you.âhe decided taking a step forward. You were to perplexed to react to his bold sentences. You didnât thought there were people just walking up to you, talking such none sense.
âSo youâre a quite one, I get it but donât worry I can make you scream in no time.âhe prompts proudly, leaning forward about to touch your arm as a strict voice behind him made him freeze âWalk away syphilisâ Addison huffed annoyed. He groaned but turned around, not before winking your way.
There she was, standing a feet away in all her glory. Youâre heart warmed as she laid her all to familiar eyes on you.
Still you greeted her in the respectful, appropriate manner your supposed too, since sheâs practically your boss now, if not even mentor. âDoctor Montgomeryâyou greeted looking up to her as she crossed her arms, looking down at you with a amused glint in her eyes.
âOh, now Iâm Dr Montgomery?â she more stated than asked. You let your eyes wander for a moment or two as you nodded. The pink scrubs really were adorable, suiting her hair perfectly. She was perfect.
âI canât find the chief, do you probably know were Iâm able to find him?â you wanted to know, looking up at her hopeful. She seemed to think for a moment looking around, suddenly she stopped looking in a certain hallway. The moment you wanted to follow her eyes, she already looked away.
âWhat do I get? For telling you were he is.âshe asked with a grin on her face, making you groan. You didnât want to be late, a quick glance to the clock made you even more desperate.
âAnything, just tell me. I donât wanna be late.â you responded, mentioning to the clock, underlining how urgent this is. Your response clearly amused her, you could tell by the exited glint in her eyes.
âAnything?âshe asked again, now clearly trying to annoy you. You took a deep breath, trying to ignore her teasing. âPlease, Dr Montgomery.â you begged, now visible desperate for the information. Addison found a liking in teasing you, it was thrilling. But she didnât want to make you late or harm you in any way, so she finally gave in. âHeâs just over there.âshe pointed down a hallway, to a rather tall man, talking to some other doctors.
âI owe you oneâyou thanked her, already making your way to the chief.
You clearly didnât think, when you promised the tall woman anything.
âââââââââââââââââââââ
Writing the last few sentences of your report, you reached for the cup next to you. Not even checking where it whiled you blindly searched it with your hand, accidentally spilling it over the freshly written sentences.
âfuck, fuck, fuckâyou cursed silently, trying to save the neatly written page but it was to late, the ink already smudged over the whole page and the water soaked the paper. It was just one page and of course the back too but you sat a long while, drawing each word with care and slow lines. The whole work was approximate 15 pages, two of them written with hand the others on computer, like the Regulations told.
And of course the exact two pages had to be destroyed. You took a dry towel, drying the table and stacking the remaining pages on the side.
The last three weeks, since your first day were difficult to say at least. As the new intern no one trusted you, so you had to work really hard, not having a calm moment. The whole three weeks you were home two times, getting clothes and other supplies you needed. You practically moved into an one call room, not to mention the quick naps you took every other free minute.
You slumped down in the chair, holding your head in your arms, feeling your whole body ache from the exhaustion. The stress and lack of sleep finally got to you. But you couldnât rest now, so you took a blank paper, starting again.
-
Finally done, you closed your eyes for a moment, stretching your body and already raised from the chair again. Taking the whole 15 sides, you made your way to the chiefs office.
As you closed the door to the office again after handing the reports over to the chief, you turned around, being stopped by your favourite red head.
âDr.Montgomery, is there something I can do for you?â you questioned her polite, your head still focused on working but youâre body sore and hurting all over. She smiled, but looked a bit worried as she placed a hand on your shoulder.
âActually there is.âshe let her hand run down your armâfollow me.âshe demanded, turning around, positive you would follow her. She walked quick, her hips swaying, the heels clicking each time she took a step, as she walked proudly in front of you. Not even a few minutes were over as you already stood in an on call room. Addison in front of you closing the door gently, as you heard the lock click.
âHow about you rest for a couple of hours.âshe shared her idea, making you consider it for a second but you quickly denied, thinking about all the work you want to finish today.
âThank you, but no. I still have a lot to do.âyou told her, giving her a small smile, thanking her for the offer.
Addisons smile dropped, she wouldnât let you leave before you at least lied down for an hour. She hadnât had a chance to talk to you or see you really rest since the first day you started here. It was really worrying her, seeing you always on your feet, not even sitting but walking around for hours without brake. So she decided to talk you down until you would do what she said.
âI donât know if you understood me correctly. This wasnât a question or an offer.âshe said, her voice low, her strict eyes piercing you right trough your body. âI want you to lie down.Now.âshe took your hand leading you to bed âAnd donât even try to talk back.âshe made her point clear.
The quick change of her mood kinda scared you, not wanting to upset her further, you sat down on the bed, taking of your shoes.
Practically ready to lie down, one thing still bothered you. You were longing for her warmth, not just now but since the last time you were close. That was seven weeks ago and it felt like a withdrawal. Being busy the whole time, distracted you a lot, but with her standing in front of you, next to a bed, it was hopeless.
âCan you like⊠you know.âyou tried to ask, your voice suddenly small under the observation of the tall woman, looking down to you.
Seeing that you finally gave in, she smiled in triumph. But the fact that you wanted her to hold you exited her a lot more. Of course she wouldnât just give you what you want, not till you asked her clearly.
âYou want something?âshe teased, but decided the same moment to not tease you too long, since she would love to have you close.
âYeah, can you lie down⊠with me?âthe last part more hushed but she was still able to hear you clearly. And the question made her grin cheekily at you.
She took of her heals, smiling to her self as she saw how your whole face brightened, while you lay down scooting over to make her place.
She hadnât even touched the mattresses as you slung your arms around her, making her laugh silently. Ending up with your head by her neck and one leg of yours hugging her legs.
You both laying in silence, as the clock on the wall got louder the longer you listened. But the small ticking was nothing compared to the loud beating of your heart, that possibly the woman next to caused.
âYou feel goodâyou broke the silence, not knowing why you said that but it was true. She felt good, hell she made you feel good.
âI do?âshe wanted to know, her voice not giving a clue about what mood she was in or what she thought.
You nodded, making her hum happily. The way you could feel it vibrate under you as she did hum, kinda comforted you but also made you want to be even closer. You wanted to feel her on your skin, you wanted to feel your skin on hers.
You didnât even thought much about it as you leaned in kissing her neck softly. Shocked but still exited you waited for an reaction, the seconds getting longer and longer like gum.
But suddenly you witnessed her moving her head to the side, like an invitation to kiss her again. And you did once, twice, now feeling one hand of hers caressing your sides and the other on the back of your neck, holding you in place.
You now kissed purposely a way up her neck, along her ear, up to her chin and finally to her cheek, where you found the woman with closed eyes, breathing slowly.
Not feeling your lips on her she opened her eyes, seeing how you were laying on top of her, your arms on each side supporting your body weight.
You smiled, studying her closely with curiosity written all over your face. She smiled back her hand still gliding over your sides.
âHoney?âAddison called out, as she gave your sides a slight squeeze.
âHmmâyou responded, still caught by the beauty in front of you, well beneath you.
âYour supposed to get some sleep, not turn me on.âshe stated, with a serious face, looking up at you. Feeling heat rise to your face, because of the thing she accused you with, you huffed embarrassed, turning away from her, youâre back now facing her as she laughed loudly.
It felt like a long moment she couldnât get herself together, laughing as you sulked in your embarrassment. But somehow she stopped, now looking to the side were you sulked around.
Eventually she spooned you from behind, holding you close as she told you amused over and over how sorry she is.
âYouâre so sweet but neck kisses do turn me onâshe confessed, waiting for any kind of respond from your side but you just scoffed, making her grin. Now she had to tease you.
Leaning down to your neck, she did the exact same move you did, making you squirm in her arms. Having enough, she stuck out her tongue giving you a few kitten licks kissing each lick after as youâre breathing grew heavier. Small gasps leaving your body under the heavenly sensation you were under until she decided to bite your pulse point gently and a breathy moan slipped out of your lips. You felt her grin on your skin, as she soothed the bite with a longer kiss than usual.
âSomeoneâs getting exited.â she whispered in your ear, before she lays back down, still spooning you.
Clearly this wasnât going to go any further, because wtf.
>>What just happened<< you thought, your head full of images, trying to calm down. But still you decided to ignore this happened, trying to sleep.
