So I know I have the worst W: Two Worlds brainrot out there, but while I was watching Lovely Runner for the very first time in a binge-marathon over the course of yesterday and today, I couldn’t help but notice some parallels between the two shows.

Very specifically I want to highlight this scene from episode 14 of Lovely Runner between Ryu Sun-jae and Im Sol:

And this scene from episode 11 of W between Kang Cheol and Oh Yeon-joo:

I’m sure I’m not the only one, or probably even the first, but I had to mention it because the parallels between the two were so incredibly strong to me.

Just two men, sitting or standing in front of a woman after reading a piece of “fiction” about timelines that no longer exist as they confront them about the ending and asking if the memory loss is permanent because they really want to see there be a happy ending.

These men would also very much like to get back to their respective romances, thank you 😂

I Wanna Teach You How Forever Feels

Summary

In a universe where Oh Seung Moo’s famous thriller webtoon W is also an omegaverse story, his main character Kang Cheol is a Beta who is hiding the fact that he is by using scent blockers so as to appear like an alpha to the general public.

When the author’s daughter, Oh Yeon Joo, is pulled into his webtoon by Kang Chul to save him, she discovers gradual changes occurring to her the more she interacts with Kang Cheol and becomes the lead female.

In other words: An AU re-imagining of the show with A/B/O elements which results in a massive overhaul (honestly, the story may end up almost unrecognizable, who’s to say?)

I only have 14 followers on AO3 and 3 here on Tumblr and I’m probably going to lose them all because of this lol

Anyway, sorry for bringing this into creation, my brain wanted to write my first A/B/O fic and wanted to make one for W: Two Worlds.

Not that it had a choice, this is the only fandom I write for lol

I would give just about anything to be able to see the first teaser for W: Two Worlds. I cannot find it anywhere and all that seems to remain of it are a rare few images and gifs.

Which I find weird considering the fact that the artwork from it was used on the Special Limited Edition Director’s Cut Box Set disc cases for both the show & the special features, as well as the photo book.

The above photos of the cases and the photo book are not by me, they’re by the ebay seller I bought my box set from, so those are the exact ones I own.

okay there were three things that marred my enjoyment of W

1 him only saying i love you once

2 more questions than answers

and most importantly of all 3 THERE WAS SET UP FOR YEON-JOO GIVING HIM A FOREHEAD KISS AND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I WAS ROBBED UP GUNPOINT
