Summary: You and Dwayne get all cute and nervous for your first date together.

A/N: ahhhh my love! Thank you for requesting ♡ you know that TikTok trend with the Fergie song about holding hands? I was inspired by that bc I'm annoying :') I hope you like it

you and Dwayne were always comfortable around each other. Even when you two kept your mutual crushes behind closed lips and armored hearts, it felt so right

even after you two confessed your feelings in the back of a VW bus it was still normal between you two

but then he asked you out on a date

a date, an actual date

it was Sheryl's idea for him to take you to the movies

it was something you always did, and it would be dark, and he wouldn't have to speak that much

Dwayne was a nervous wreck the whole day

he never cared about what he wore or what his hair looked like

"You look nice," you complimented when he picked you up

"T-thank you," he stumbled over his words

he noticed that you even dressed up more than normal

say something, say something! he screamed in his head

he stared at you for a long time

"Dwayne?" you prompted him

"You look wonderful. Ready to go?"

you nodded nervously and followed him out to his mom's car

you two stayed silent most of the car ride

poor Sheryl was doing her best to get you two to talk

that silence remained when you walked into the theater

he over-analyzed everything he did

and you didn't want to seem like a fool in front of him

what if he no longer thought you were cool?

that thought only made you more nervous

you sat on the far sides of the seats, increasing the distance between you

it was sweet relief when the lights went down and the previews started

Dwayne used the darkness as a cover to look at you

his heart thumped against his chest when he saw you laugh at something funny on screen

the light of the screen on your face only added to your beauty

he wanted to try the yawn and stretch move

but he got way too nervous

your fingers tapped anxiously on your thigh

you glanced over to him, maybe he was better at taking hits than you were

so you placed your arm on the armrest in between you, your hand dangling off the ledge

Dwayne's eyes looked down at your open hand

he gulped as you slowly moved it in his direction

his hand moved until he intertwined his fingers with yours

you two didn't look at each other, but two giant smiles broke out on your faces

after a while, you gravitated closer to each other

making comments about what was happening on screen

he finally gained the confidence to kiss you on the cheek

which gave you the confidence to peck him on the lips

and that gave the both of you to ignore the movie and make out

"Why were we so nervous?" you asked him once the movie was over

"I was trying to impress you," he answered sheepishly

you ducked your head and smiled

"I'm always impressed by you."

Sheryl was delighted when you two walked out of the theater holding hands and happily talking to each other

I wanted to make a animation of this but I may leave it for someone else to do so- basically Joker getting ready to leave his hide out because Bruce and selina are together and joker remembering his time with bruce.
