@vulpesly asked: "It's all right, you rest now. Don't worry about me." [ jono/niimi ]
Niimi wants to argue, to fight the urge to rest, to just stay awake a little bit longer. There is pain and there is worry. Sure Niimi has his own injuries, but so does Jono- The scent of blood is heavy and it worries the boy.
"Will you still be here when I wake up?" Fingers curl into the dark red cape of Jono's, afraid the other might go- even if it's illogical. But... Jono might leave to keep fighting... to keep Niimi safe. "Please don't go-"

@vulpesly asked: ( snack ) : sender brings receiver their favorite food to cheer them up [ jono to niimi. yes, he caught a grasshopper, and yes, this is the worst day of his life ]
Niimi always feels sullen around this time of year, fingers toying with the spider lilies he had gathered. He knew their meaning, to humans at least, but to himself, they reminded him of playing by the river with his mother as a child.
A glance up as he notices the grasshopper, giving a giggle as he grabs it to take a bite. "Mother didn't like when I ate bugs either." A smile as he holds out the flower to Jono, as if to trade. "Here! My mother and I would pick them, since the river back home was filled with them. If you squinted~ It looked like the river was on fire with how many spider lilies grew there~!"
Crunchy grasshopper.

If Chuuya was engaged in a friendly competition (board game, video game, etc) with someone he gets along with, does he go all out trying to win or does he pull his punches at all? Does this change at all depending on the person, type of relationship, or other factors?
It kind of depends but Chuuya likes to go all-in most of the time. He'll go easy on some people of course (the younger members of the Sheep, for instance, when he used to run with them) because he doesn't want to be an asshole.
Its important of course to note not so much whether Chuuya will go all-out to win, but whether or not he'll cheat to win (he absolutely will, if he feels like it).
Chuuya is very tit-for-tat. Do unto others as they do unto you, for the most part. That's something he picked up with the Sheep, so much so that its just second nature for him now. If the other person is playing fair and straight, he'll generally keep his game clean also (maybe with a tiny bit of bending what counts as "cheating"; it depends what's at stake really and what kind of bets are on the table. If he really hates the losing conditions, he'll absolutely try to swing it).
If he's playing against someone that he generally knows is a cheater and/or that he doesn't like so much (coughDazaicough) , he will absolutely pull out all the stops and shamelessly cheat his way to victory. He picked up a ton of tricks on how to cheat really well too after becoming friends with the Flags (most of his motivation was to out-cheat Dazai, obviously).
He'll barely even be bothered to hide it, honestly, especially if said "competition" involves physical prowess (and therefore, something he can use Gravity with).
Chuuya, frankly, doesn't like losing. He barely knows the meaning of the word. That said, if he genuinely loses on equal terms, he'll still honor his loss even if he loathes it (see: the Dog Bet). He has a certain sense of honor about being trustworthy enough to keep his word to people even if he is also willing to cheat to win (he's a mafioso though, can you really expect anything else?).

☐ What trends are you currently into?
⚓ Are there any small details you tend to like in roleplays?
WHAT TRENDS ARE YOU CURRENTLY INTO ?
─ I'm not particularly someone who keeps up with trends, no matter the sense of it... I usually go with the flow of the things regardless of if it's trendy or not. Most of the time it even happens of me diving into something that was trendy but rn hardly anyone is talking about... I think that the biggest recent trend I rode on was the whole m.outhw.ashing game and saw all the wild things unfold on X, enough for me to not want to be inside the fandom at all! snjdksjndkjn jokes aside, I'm not really a trendy person! Usually I dive into things if a friend is super into ( cue to my mom saying "if your friend jump the bridge, would you go with him?" YES MOM, I WOULD THANKS /dies /j )
ARE THERE ANY SMALL DETAILS YOU TEND TO LIKE IN RPS ?
─ I love details, like "Dark colored hues turned to stare into the wall for a split moment, thin lips pursed into a line as his long and delicate fingers traces around the cup...", it may sound a little over the board with the description and like, I know many people don't like going that deep into that sort of thing but I LOVE HARDCORE people who pour that amount of attention to their writing, it's sweet and I can imagine the scene in my head... When someone goes describling even the eyelashes of their characters I'm already like... "I can fucking see it, omg..." and it makes read over and over again.
Of course, it's just a tiny detail I like when people do it. But, I also understand why people don't because replies do get twice the size they're supposed to be when you fill it with so much details!

╰ ☆ ✧ — @vulpesly asked: [ headcanon time! ] if celeste was presented with one of two options of classes to take, which would she be more drawn to: a course that studies natural history, or a course on innovations and developments of technology?
↳ -: ☆ ( Unprompted. ) ☆ :-
Celeste definitely isn't anti - technology; especially given the technological advancements in Paldea and Blueberry Academy ( most notably the latter ). However, she would feel more drawn to natural history given that she's spent so much of her life basically studying FUTURISTIC ROBOTIC POKEMON and even longer trying to fight against them. She's definitely tired of studying robots and technology; especially after the whole thing which is why she eventually steps away to focus on her Pokemon and figure out what she wants to do next in her life.
However, if she were to find a Professor / class that wasn't focused on unleashing robotic Pokemon to destroy the region and wanted to study technology for good, I think she would be okay with studying innovation and technology again !

If Svern was in a competition (or playing a game) where he has the option to either “buff” himself and improve his odds of victory, or “nerf” his opponent and reduce their odds, which is he more likely to choose? Is it circumstantial or does he tend to favor one option over the other regardless?
This really depends on his whims in the moment or what suits the situation best, but in general, I'd say he leans toward nerfing his opponent.
In either case his primary motivation lies more along frustrating his opponent than it does just giving himself more chance of winning. While both fighting while nerfed and against a buffed opponent (in a game) can be frustrating, Svern probably gets a little more fun out of not having things easier for himself. It's also possibly a little more frustrating for the other person to be forced to operate subpar.
In another kind of competition, his reasons would probably be similar, unless it's something that he genuinely wants to win, in which case he'll just choose to improve his odds of victory and try to net the win.
#who's that knocking at your door? (inbox)#vulpesly#boredom is so terrible; it's like a dread disease (headcanon)#generally though he does whatever he thinks will frustrate the opponent more. that's more satisfying to him than just winning#THANK YOU FOR THIS ASK it was fun! pardon the long wait

@vulpesly -> [ TOUCH ]: the sender nudges or touches the receiver to check and see if they’re alright after the attack.
despite no longer being hunting dogs, no longer being soldiers pointed at the nearest threat to public safety, tetcho can't help but notice the way that he and jono still find themselves held at gunpoint or threatened with some kind of violence no matter where they go. he supposes it doesn't help that they've been taken in my the armed detective agency and that incidents like this are just part of the way of life they've gotten themselves wrapped up in... still, tetcho can't help but wish the two of them could have a quieter time - a more peaceful existence after everything they've been through.
blood clings to his skin, drying stiff and gluing dark hair to tetcho's face as he stares across the road, watching the police and ambulances tend to the injured pedestrians unlucky enough to be caught in the crossfire of a particularly desperate criminal on the run. jono is safe beside him, tetcho knows that - made sure of that before anything else.
a hand brushing against his own has the former hound turning his head, blinking down at the smaller figure stood beside him with an equally bloodied and dirtied face. they caught the man they were meant to but...
another touch, more insistent this time has amber gaze focusing on the familiar features before him. the message is clear, even without words coming from his partner. stop fretting. we're fine.
gently, does tetcho turn his hand over to press their palms together and allows his feet to shift a little towards the smaller of the two until he's close enough to eventually pull jono against him in a hug. "we should go home, saigiku. i do not want to be here any more."

When light turquoise eyes open, it isn't on the training field like he had last remembered. Ah. Had he passed out once more? The light taste of blood and medicine confirm Muichiro's theory. Carefully the boy moves a finger, then his arm. Sore, but still working. So he can keep training.
Sitting up, he glances about the room. A foxian doctor? He looked busy, so... Muichiro quietly climbs out of the bed, ready to make a beeline for the door.
Sorry Doctor. He wouldn't be staying in bed.

"I don't know which I wished for more, to loose my sight or my hearing." Or rewind the past five minutes of Jono walking in just as he had thrown the nearest object, a spoon with a bit too much bloodlust behind it, at the parasite that had been eating away at his patiences and sanity the past hour. Considering the elderly man's laughter, he's leaning more towards his hearing.
A shame, the detective had worked so hard to skillfully hide this long term issue for Jono.
"Welcome back, Jono-kun. Have you finished your work for the day?"

@vulpesly ordered:
“ this was probably a mistake. ” [ jono and maurice? ]
MORNING AFTER STARTERS
Maurice is dozing off contentedly, pretending to be in a deeper sleep than he actually is so he can enjoy a little more time basking in Jono's warmth before they have to part for their respective jobs, more satisfied and happy than he's been in years...
...then Jono utters those five little words and it's like an icy cold shower, blue eyes snapping open and staring at the Hunting Dogs in wide-eyed astonishment.
A mistake? A mistake?!
Those same eyes then narrow into thin slits as the ex-thief all but pounces on his bedmate, their bodies rolling for a moment before they end up with Jono on his back with Maurice straddling him and pinning his hands to the mattress, effectively trapping the other there.
He's fully aware that the Hunting Dog could easily shrug him off, he's certainly strong enough to do so, but Maurice won't let something like that stop him now. This could be the only chance he has left.
"No, this was not a mistake. Don't you dare try to run away!" Maurice hisses, blue eyes set in an icy glare that Jono is sure to feel despite being unable to see it.
His expression soften after a moment, as does his grip on Jono's wrist, although he doesn't let go completely, merely moving his hands so his fingers are intertwined with Jono's, still pinning his hands above his head "When will you stop punishing yourself? I forgave you a long time ago..."
He lets go of one hand to cup Jono's cheek, stroking the soft, flushed skin right underneath his eye "If you've... really decided you're no longer interested, then alright, I understand... but if you're only denying yourself because of some twisted form of penance, or because you're afraid of hurting me again... then don't do it anymore."
He leans in then, brushing his lips against Jono's in the softest kiss they've exchanged so far "Give me - us - another chance... please."

@vulpesly has inquired: ❝ don't tell me to quit being melodramatic it's the only time i have any fun. ❞
[ jono to teruko (sorry he wanted to pester your hunting dogs!) ]
" You're free to be as melodramatic as you want it, but who said I wanted to be a part of your show? Go be a melodramatic asshole anywhere that's not near me or the Captain... " Teruko snaps back at the anger of two chihuahuas. " Unless you plan to be a melodramatic ass to Tachihara, then I might find myself joining in on the fun, heheh~♪ "

@vulpesly asked -> "You're a mess. How did you even get into this situation?" -> after-action patch up starters - accepting
"shut it, fox." though, there's a distinct lack of bite in the dog's voice as he snaps the retort back at the inn keep. chuuya's skin burns at his back, his eyes feel heavy and the only relief is gentle touches from skilled hands gently soothing some kind of medicinal balm across the scrapes and blossoming bruises that span the executive's body. despite the way he all but bares his teeth through the words, chuuya doesn't move an inch. he allows jono to continue his ministrations without resistance - other than the verbal kind.
they both know that he can't tell jono how he ended up like this - just like he can't tell him why. they both know chuuya is hopelessly dangling over a crevice neither of them can see the bottom of and the bodyguard can't find it in him to explain any of it to jono again.
"i thought you weren't gonna ask questions? you know you're not gonna get an answer, jono." softer this time, more tinged with exhaustion as chuuya deflates where he sits - shoulders dropping and eyes just barely staying open as the day's ordeal begins to catch up with him. distantly, chuuya wonders if it's more than today that's beginning to weigh on him. he wonders if watching his partner's slow, unstoppable descent into something neither of them could stop was starting to make parts of chuuya fray at the edges. he wonders if dazai even cares anymore. he wonders if he ever cared in the first place.
"...hey, jono?" he doesn't look up, doesn't turn his head. instead chuuya keeps his eyes downcast and narrowed as if to block out any of this happening around him. "how do you know if someone.. cares about you?"
