Considering the elderly man's laughter, he's leaning more towards his hearing.

A shame, the detective had worked so hard to skillfully hide this long term issue for Jono.

The simplest answer? Chuuya.

The slightly less simple answer? Chuuya on a job, which just so happens to end up overlapping with Jono's path, whatever it was that brought him to the same place.

Does Chuuya know that? No. He'd left a trail of corpses and carnage behind him while he tracked down the fleeing stragglers that had thought they could actually outrun him, which they couldn't, and only now does he start to return to the scene of the crime to make sure he hasn't missed anything, or anyone, and search the bodies for any sort of intel or items worth his attention.

His eyes are well enough adjusted for working in the dark of night, but from a far enough distance, everyone looks like nothing more than a vaguely human-shaped silhouette, and he's not really expecting any unaffiliated company.

So naturally, when he spots from afar what he's sure must be an enemy he missed or some sort of reinforcement, he kicks off the ground with enough force to leave a radial crater where he was standing and clears over equal the distance of a football field in one bound, readying a devastating kick for his landing point: Jono himself.

Only--

"Shit."

He recognizes that striking head of white hair and uniform, even as he's closing distance way too quickly and trying to adjust mid-air and lighten his own density with Gravity ahead of possible impact, pulling his kick short and twisting to change his landing. Of all the fucking luck--

diluc has a secret sweet tooth , but not anything too sweet . he'd wind up picking a muffin or a pie . anything with fruit in it , he'll enjoy more than others . as for flavors , he loves any type of berry .

As always, Mikhail is a ball of energy- Bouncing around the open space outside, inspecting every plant and corner till he finally returns to the person who was supposed to be minding his leash, or so said his master. A golden tail wags fastly as he looks up at the foxian. No matter the looks he was given or the words said to him, the canine simply smiled, bright and cheerful.

"Sorry Mister- I haven't been outside in so long!" Oh how he just wants to run till he's panting- to see everything that was here- along with giving it a good sniff.

"Do you think I can run around before I have to go back? Oh! Or I know! I have a ball!! A ball!! You can throw it for me, right! It's a super fun game I like- Can we play it? Please oh please can we play fetch!?"

Niimi always feels sullen around this time of year, fingers toying with the spider lilies he had gathered. He knew their meaning, to humans at least, but to himself, they reminded him of playing by the river with his mother as a child.

A glance up as he notices the grasshopper, giving a giggle as he grabs it to take a bite. "Mother didn't like when I ate bugs either." A smile as he holds out the flower to Jono, as if to trade. "Here! My mother and I would pick them, since the river back home was filled with them. If you squinted~ It looked like the river was on fire with how many spider lilies grew there~!"

What kind of weather makes Verlaine the happiest? What kind brings his mood down?

he absolutely loves sunny weather. he thrives in the sun and can lay out in for hours in a warm patch of grass. but he also loves stormy days that he can just sit outside on a porch, smoke his pipe while he watches it rain.

as for weather that brings his mood down? snow and when it's overcast for days at a time. snow is pretty while it comes down but there's something about the cold that makes the chemicals go haywire in the worst way.
