Sometimes they may also occasionally eat larger prey, including hares and pikas, and will scavenge for carrion and human refuse.

On occasion they eat fruit and other vegetation, mainly when prey is hard to come by. As an adaption to their environment, Corsacs need little water to survive, gaining most of the water needed from the food they eat."
