At a very long distance I watched this badger and coyote hunt together in Lamar Valley. The hunt lasted for at least 45 minutes and covered over a half a mile before they left my view. The badger seemed to be doing most of the heavy lifting digging for ground squirrels while the coyote hoped The ground squirrel would get away or come out a different hole. There was a very brief tug-of-war at one point, but the badger quickly won out. Amazing animal behavior. Yellowstone National Park.

Six puppies snuggle up to keep warm on a chilly winters morning waiting for their breakfast to be delivered. The pack of nine adults left at sunrise to hunt an Impala, their favourite prey. Soon the pack will return lead by the Matriarch to regurgitate chunks of meat for the puppies to eat. Usually the Patriarch will initial the hunt but the Matriarch will be the first to return to the den to feed her puppies.
