Waterbear is a vrynaga, a bug-based species; with sub-specie traits to make it more aquatic!

WB’s design is ripped from relicanth, with the hood being a non-subtle reference to the shiny form. WB is a chittery thing, surfacing near rivers to observe and moving fast when approached.

This drawing sucked the soul out of me, and left me begging for mercy. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and I'm proud of it, but the colors were a pain to get there. I also should probably stop finishing these at 3:00 AM every time 💀

Pain, is the only word that would describe the coloring process of this vrynaga. I went through so many color variations before I found one that I like, and suits this fella. I based him a bit on a fire ant, so that's why he's this happy orange color ^^

I've been in a designing mood a lot lately. It's fun coming up with new characters, figuring out patterns and giving them personality and lore. I think of my OCs way more, than I draw them X3

Anyways, here comes yet another baby into my collection! Néstor, a Vrynaga from Lust tribe 💟. I really like the little shimmer of blue in the dark tail. I like to think he uses the tail as a bench sometimes. But only sometimes really. He's a pretty energetic and flexible boy that can slither through anywhere ^^
