i know people are saying that they think we play as Cassies dad because of the 'you look like you have kids' line and the fact that we're a quote unquote employee (a staff bot. literally showed us in the mask ending) and ALSO the Bonnie mask. i know there were comments in Ruin from cassie connecting her dad to bonnie but hear me out on this.

theres no way we play as Cassies Dad in the PQ4/vanny claw machine ending. just think about it. after a second watch vanny is 100% squishing glitchtrap and he wasnt expecting her to kill him, and then she backs away and waves as if thanking the player.

first of all that would be lame as all hell if the person who kills glitchtrap and frees vanny for real is this random ass man with no connection to anything.

but second of all the only character who has EVER freed/done something good for Vanny is Gregory. that log in SB of the person being not 'worthy' of saving the princess means nothing. its just to tell the player in sb that theres something up with PQ, and Gregory is the one to play all three princess quests anyway.

and how did PQ work in SB? you had to play them and BEAT them in order. you couldnt just go and play the second or third without beating the first. which means whoever played PQ4 in HW2 has not only played the other three but BEAT them.

and the only person whos ever done that is Gregory.

lets not forget the GGY achievement. that is an obvious blaring sign of "we remember GGY and we want you all to as well". and then the Bonnie mask found IN PQ4 with the caption "This looks familar" from the players pov?

lets not forget gregory was glitchtrapped once upon a time too and his name was Dr Rabbit. gregory also had a rabbit persona at some point and weve yet to see it. this Bonnie mask could have been a very early Dr Rabbit mask for gregory or even just what he wore the whole time.

PLUS. the Bonnie mask LITERALLY has purple glitching around the face. that is not just weird VR shading. thats purposeful that its specifically purple. Bonnie is the only boy bunny rabbit we have and it seems like theyd leave a GGY rabbit suit reveal for later right? for when they focus on him?

the achievement for getting the mask is literally called Lost Luggage. like this is the lost GGY mask because Gregory has been freed for a while by this point. we still dont know how exactly it happened, but we're yet to know whether gregory has any virus in him left at all like Vanessa still has bits of Vanny shown in the ending.

its looking like he does because of the candy cadet 'betrayal' from the young boy (gregory) towards the young woman (vanessa), but lets not forget that the oven door (the virus) closed on BOTH of them.

its just looking a lot like Gregory protag right now (at least for the PQ ending) some extra evidence is that in the mask ending it shows us the poitnt of view of a staff bot (maskbot) and Gregory has been shown to control a staff bot twice now (pizzabot in sb and the rare voiceline in ruin) and the most prominent is DURING ruin, the exact same time as the mask ending

I had this concept art for a series about a VR game where you are a cat in a high tech society world, and you can customize your cat to have wings or a different tail, or horns. And the protag is a guy who didn't buy the game or even have a VR headset, but was gifted the game by an anonymous person and was transported into the game.

Maybe it will become a comic blog soon and potentially be a webcomic...

What if they pull a HW1 and we have to collect (therapy) CDs around the minigames to put Gregory back together and that's what frees him from Glitchtrap

Sam Jones

This is Sam Jones, a character of mine for my post apocalyptic setting.

The damned corpse, eepy cyberpunk cyborg isekai protag extraordinaire. Despite appearances, they are still alive.

They just fell asleep for 400,000 years and their skin and flesh was slowly devoured by rats, leaving only the bones, brain, and implants.

But they had so many implants that they're fine, though. Minor inconvenience really. In fact, they kinda like it. Very relatable experience, I know.

I think it’s really funny if no one can tell what gender they are because they’re just a skeleton, and Sam’s not telling, so everyone has no choice but to use they/them pronouns.

(or the gender-neutral equivalent in the future universal language of the birds, Lingua Isa {English is a dead language in the future})

Anyways, Sam has become the unwilling McMuffin for a group of mostly evil machine gods as part of some mysterious plot whose cults have been pursuing them across the globe.

Which is a GREAT call to adventure, wake up from an isekai nap and immediately need to go on an adventure or else get ????ed by a broken god.

Luckily, Sam is a cyperpunk, from a near future cyberpunk dystopia, so they know how to handle themself. Yeah, they've been in a fight or two (they were all in VR and not real, but still).

Sam has never really cared about learning about stuff before, but man, this new world they find themself in has some pretty good lore. They've actually caught themself reading scrolls! About history and biology and culture!! Without even being forced to!!! Exposition!!!!

Fun Fact: They canonically used to be a Tumblr-er(?) back when that hellsite still existed, thank god it doesn’t anymore, am I right?

Fun Fact: Sam has millions of hours logged into the copy of Candy Crunch Chronicle that came pre installed on one of their brain implants. (They played it in their dreams)

(for a more serious answer, i don't know enough about the state of technology decades in the future to decide; persona 5 currently feels timeless with hardly any ways to improve it due to technological setbacks, of which i feel, are currently nonexistent. though maybe the standard for gaming will be like, Nintendo VR or something and everybody will be clamoring for a VR persona 5 remake.

in that case it would just be like. the basic stuff; removal of the homophobic scenes, a better way to execute post-shido boss scene, let's please not allow our 16/17 year old protag to date older women especially if he can't even date his homies, voiced social links, more outfits and gang hangouts. again i feel like the base game is timeless and this stuff isn't necessary to make it amazing, but, you know.)

The gist is this:

Mitch (our Gordon-inspired protag of the story) is a 25-ish guy who hasn’t seen his friends and hasn’t been doing well for a WHILE. Mitch was followed home by an entity and is paranoid he’ll die if he leaves his apartment. He and his three friends (Mill, Tex, and Laís) decide to play a video game and chat to take their mind off of it and reconnect.

They play a Half-Life 1 inspired game entitled “Epicenter” and pick characters from the 4 unique classes they offer (soldier, security officer, CIA agent, or scientist). It is all dandy until the game starts glitching. Instead of a resonance cascade inside the game’s plot, it’s more like the entity that followed Mitch home caused a resonance cascade to the game as a whole and utterly fucks it up! Also, Mitch and his friends are transported into the game. They’re all stuck in the game with mild amnesia and tasked with getting to the end. A 5th player appears to be there too… The cast fill out the class roles they picked at the start, which forces the cast into a tense alliance as they stick together through the science facility. Through near-death experiences and one on one moments, the friends slowly piece together what happened to them and how they knew each other before shit hit the fan. They also piece together that the 5th player, Baxter, isn’t one of them… 👻 ohhh scary

The story is a WIP and I don’t intend it to be anything fancy. I just like Half-Life and I can appreciate the foundations of HLVRAI. I wanted this story to be something for me to chew on while I’m fixated on HL.

so there's this idea that's been bonking around my mind for... years? I'm not sure how many but it's been a while. so, it started with the idea of characters based on the 7 deadly sins (original I know) and grew into a whole false tv show in my brain. first off, LONG POST WARNING!!!!!!! just letting yall know. second, there is some inspiration from Ready Player One here, if you haven't seen it, dw you dont need the context of the story, just the idea of a VR kinda thing for the internet, EXCEPT your body ceases to exist outside of it when you arent in the internet (tm) so no bullshit someone's gonna get you while you're in there! I can and will go into the intricusies of how the internet (tm) works but there are other things I wanna expand on. mainly, our main characters!!! there are 8 main characters: one for every sin and the protagonist. (some images included to show off the general vibe/colour palette of the characters all from pinterest) starting with our main character, she doesn't really have a name cause i cant think of a good one, but she's 14-16, new to high school and experiencing the internet (tm) for the first time, she's been online, but never in the actual world before. I like to think she wears mainly black and white with hints of red or other colours in the beginning and gains more colours as time goes on and she learns more about herself and the world around her. she is heavily inspired by moon girl from marvel's moon girl and devil dinosaur

next, Pride! she is the general leader of the group since she's the most commanding and takes no shit. she tries to keep the kid safe and out of trouble, she has her own in securities and such that I can go over in a stand alone post about the specific characters. she is kinda inspired by garnet from steven universe but only in a design way.

then we have the most developed and a literal self insert: lust! he's the resident "heart throb" of the group and is probably the silliest of the group, also the one the protag meets first. he is the insighting incident in many a misadventure cause its easy to use him for that. I will go into this more later, but he's lust cause he lusts for a relationship, he's a sad boy (like me) inspiration is angel dust from hazbin but only in personality.

envy and greed are twins, identical within the internet (tm) and fraternal outside of it cause oh yeah, the 7 are all real people too. they work together very well and put on a show of wanting what the other has to outside observers. the only inspo I can think of is the general aesthetic of grossology and mammon from helluva from a design stand point.

(pretend there's an image of a big ol oversized hoodie here, almost all those photos have people in them and I dont feel comfortable with that) wrath was one of the hardest for me to pinpoint initially, his thing isn't being angry, he makes others angry by being goofy and messing with them. Like kel from omori, also his design SOMEHOW ended up being cowboy esque in my head??? so like clover from undertale yellow.

sloth is actually my favourite, she loves hyperpop, all things pink and pastel, loves performing songs with lust, but she's sloth because she doesn't do anything unless it interests her, no chores, no responsibilities, she leaves the internet(tm) the least out of them all. I saw an artist on twitter once and was like YEAH THATS THE VIBE but I forgot who they are TwT. she is also based on moon girl design wise. BEE AND PUPPYCAT AESTHETIC MY GOAT!!!

last and sadly least is gluttony, I don't really have them super developed, and if anyone has any ideas for them I would love to hear it!

Here's a dump of art of my HLVRAI security guard OC named Benjamin Reed, usually going by Ben. :> (He's Benrey adjacent ngl, and the name Ben Reed sounds normal, but also like Benrey lol) His name used to be James Bennett, but like yeah.

Warning, a couple of these pictures does include injury, like in his canon, he was shot and got stuck in the game. He was stuck in it before that, but didn't know, and he would have been released once he finished the game, but since he died....well...oops.
