Oh fuck you. We already had a ‘Howard The Duck Got Hitched’ episode with Party Thor. We hardly need to lean into it. And on Christmas Day to boot to drive it into us more as TaserTricks shippers.

Thirteen years since the Thor film, three seasons of this show, and no fewer than 10 deaths (Odin, Frigga, Laufey, Heimdall, Phil Coulson, Jasper Sitwell, Jane Foster, and The Warriors Three) later and we still cannot even set up a meeting for OTP. In spite of the both of them making their MCU debut in literally the same film; and I am pretty sure Loki and Darcy Lewis are the only two characters from said film who have never met one another. Somebody write a fix-it in which sacred-timeline Loki tries to break up Howard the Duck and Darcy as a cosmic couple for shits and giggles only to end up catching feelings. (Like in the aftermath of the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, which also falls in the era of Loki still faking his death to the cosmos…I am just spitballing here.)

At least there is no missing Jotun!Loki singled out by the “One Final Watch” as a reminder this will probably be a continuation from the same party episode. And who knew our girl would end up the MCU mascot of Christmas, two years in a row, when I have always headcanoned her as being as Jewish as one Katherine Litwack. Will adjust it to her being half-Jewish then…she does vibe to me like a Christmukkah kind of girl.

Soooo, I wrote an incredibly indulgent 5k or so words about my Percy Jackson OC where she relives some of her trauma/gets retraumatized. I basically project all of my religious trauma onto her and there's a lot of that in the snippet that I wrote. (It isn't even fully complete, there's a lot of spots where I put 'such and such happens here' or 'flashback' in brackets and haven't had the time or energy to fill in those brackets yet. I've also barely written anything else for her, I just have lots of ideas)

What I'm curious about, is how many people would actually be interested in reading it.

Some details on the snippet:

it would include a lot of religious/spiritual abuse and evangelical/fundementalist cult shit, and some heavily implied/mentioned physical abuse of a child, very heavy trigger warnings for all of that

It will also include Darcy bonding with her twin brother Percy (and Percy being a damn good brother despite the two fighting all the time and being annoyed with each other- as siblings usually are)

also Annabeth trying to be a good friend who's concerned about Darcy

It would take place in Mark of Athena, right after the Argo 2 crew escaped the Roman Camp

I didn't edit it much, other than grammar, so it may not flow very well, also some chunks just aren't written out

Thanks to @hotjaneaustenmenpoll I decided to watch Persuasion (1995) for the millionth time this weekend, and inspired me to create some propaganda on why you should vote for Captain Wentworth as the Hottest Austen Man:

Anne's face the moment she saw him after eight years screams "Oh, no, he is hot!" and she is right.

He makes one snarky comment towards Anne and immediately shows a regretted puppy face, because he realized he can't hurt her in any way. Gentleman as it finest.

Life of the party charms the pants off anyone. Not literally, except for Anne.

Mister "I don't care about Anne", but will gladly listen to anything other people has to say about her and won't stand seeing her struggle in anyway. Pure gentleman behavior.

Also, will give deadly stares to the men that approach Anne in a romantic manner.

Ciaran Hinds in a Marine Uniform. Even Lady Dalrymple said he looked fine as hell in that uniform.

The letter with that voice, perfection.

The yearning and longing on his eyes is worthy of an Oscar, this man embodies that character perfectly.

I know you love Darcy, I do too, but that is the obvious choice; Wentworth is as good as he is (if not even more).
