Jealous VOY Vorik HCs:

A/N: He's so cute when he's angry. Some inspo taken from this post: POST from @spocks-husband

Prompt: Jealous Vorik

Vorik is (naturally) a young arrogant and naive Vulcan.

He doesn't understand the complexities of human friendships and relationships.

That's why when he sees you acting so causally with your affections towards your friends, he gets overwhelmingly jealous.

He gives anyone you show affection to a cold icy death stare.

Vulcans are naturally jealous and overprotective of their bondmates.

He comes up behind you and hugs you when he feels jealous.

When you innocently ask him what's wrong he just shakes his head and presses a kiss on the top of your head.

He feels reassured through your bond but that doesn't help him when it comes to comparing himself to others.

He worries that he isn't taking care of your emotional needs, that you find more comfort in the arms of others than in his.

When Paris starts flirting with you it really bruises his ego.

He starts to get more agitated and constantly feels the need to keep you safe.

He secretly fears you'll leave him for someone else.

One day while in the Mess Hall, you are eating when Tom comes up to you.

"Hey, if you ever get bored of hanging out with him," Jabbing his thumb at Vorik. "You should join me and Harry in the holodeck tonight."

Vorik nearly flipped the table as he reached across to grab at Tom's throat.

He was almost feral hissing and spitting like a pissed-off wet cat.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY MATE! VEH DUNGI STAU DU!" (*I will kill you!)

You and B'lanna have to drag the two of them apart.

After you pull Vorik to your quarters you find out why he's been acting so strange.

He's been unable to meditate due to the extra workload in Engineering. This amplifies his already fried nerves.

You'll stroke his hair to calm him down and press little kisses to his temples.

He flips you and pins you to the bed.

He starts to nuzzle your face with his.

His breath tickles your ear and you can hear him whispering things.

"T'nash-veh katelau, ashau, t'nash-veh ritsuri-wuh-set'ko." (*My mate, love, my obsession.)

You decide it's best to just let it get out of his system.

After a while, you can hear him purring.

It takes everything in you not to record it.

You feel him relax his grip and fall into your embrace.

You'll make sure he does his meditation in the morning.

last show / currently watching: I’m doing a Star Trek Voyager rewatch. The second one in ~7 months, but I just can’t find anything new that hits that spot just right.

currently reading:  1. For work: Novel by a local author, kind of boring even though the premise sounded super interesting (German librarian in Manhattan trying to find out why her late professor husband had a mental breakdown there ~20 years ago. Sth. to do with his/his parents’s WWII involvement, I guess.)

2. Also for work: Pretentious, highbrow sci-fi-ish novel by Thomas Lehr, a super-hyped German author. Finally got around to reading one of his books, but I’m very disappointed. Again, amazing premise (accident at CERN, the whole world literally stands still, a handful of survivors are trying to figure out wtf is going on), but there’s a *lot* of sexual assault happening and the writing style is tiring.

3. Finally, for pleasure: Cryptos by Ursula Poznanski, an Austrian writer and one of my favorites! Her genre is the kind of YA that an adult reader can get their teeth into and I’m really enjoying this one in particular.

current obsession: Hmm, I’m not super obsessed with anything right now. SAD. Still very much into Adar/ROP, though. Oh, and Mr. Himbo Vulcan aka Ensign Vorik, again (it comes in waves!)

Letant: No way my child (4 Yr Old Half-Romulan/Human) is having straight bangs

Y/N: Really Husband! May I remind you we also have Vulcan and Klingon children . So our child can have whatever shaped bangs he wants. (Cuts it straight because her baby boy told her he wants to be like his three older brothers)

Letant sees it the next day and cuts it to make it v-shaped(so he looks like a mini him)

Y/N’s kid cries to her about it. She tries to fix it, cuts it straight again and both parents go back and forth until their kid has micro bangs that looks like he has a receeding hairline. His forehead looks so prominent.

Letant & Y/N feel bad and promises him and each other never to cut his hair again. They acquiescence to whatever their child wants due to their guilt without knowing how sneaky their child really is..

Y/N’s kid goes to his Fourth brother and high fives him since he got the haircut he really wanted(a style showing off his small forehead ridge becuase he wants to become Klingon).

The next day their four older children tell Y/N & Letant what their youngest brother did!

Y/N: That little shit, I am mad but impressed. Thats your child Letant, you deal with him.

Letant: (smirks internally) He’s a natural….Goes to congratulate his youngest and maybe teach him some more tactics. The guys would be proud(thinking about telling Vreenak,Koval, & maybe Hiren)…

Their older children(Solok-16,Taurik &Vorik-11 & Mek(OC Klingon)-10): Mother is going to kill step-samehk/vav (shaking their heads).

Uncle Sy:(comes out of nowhere) What did I miss?

Current thoughts on a Romulan/Vulcan couple raising a (mostly) Human child:

The two parents getting into a disagreement on what kind of bangs the kid should have (straight vs v-shaped) so the Romulan will cut their bangs v-shaped, the Vulcan will cut more off to make them straight, so the Romulan cuts even more off to make them v-shaped again, etc etc etc till v quickly the kid has really shitty looking micro bangs and doesn’t trust either parent near their hair for a long time

I started working on this today (like two hours ago), I’m not even sure I want to continue writing it. But here’s a snippet of what’s been plaguing my mind ever since I fell down the ‘Vorik black hole’, thanks to @wifeofspock 🙃🖖🏽. It’s gonna be a modern girl from 2021 just trying her best; not sure if it’ll be an OC or a y/n (depends on how I feel).

Ok, now that I've seen it, I have thoughts. The whole concept of pon-farr seems rapey. From VOY we know that the pon-farrer would initiate pon-farr with his chosen mate so the mate would also get horny. Vorik did this to B'elanna and she was not consenting so she either had to have sex, defeat Vorik or die? Fortunately, she managed to refuse sex with Tom and beat up Vorik enough for the pon-farr to end. In TOS we see that the pon-farrer's object of desire may choose a champion to fight for her and then SHE WOULD BELONG TO THE VICTOR. From today's perspective that's sexist af, but I think, maybe, at the time of airing, T'Pring refusing to have sex with her husband might have been progressive? I mean, she didn't do her "wife's duty".

The whole pon-farr thing is still creepy if you ask me. It has some cool aspects to it, but I thing in the future Star Trek writers should stive to make the whole thing more consensual. And yes, Spock's fever ended, because he loved Jim, as we all know. I hope they retcon all the bad nonsense in TOS eventually, like how "straight" Jim and Kirk are when all they do is flirt, and how women can't be captains or how Chapel makes soup for Spock as if it's some feminine urge.

I'm going to see AMOK TIME tomorrow for the first time!!! I can almost believe in luck 😊

Last movie: I did a triple feature day so it was Malignant, Invisible Man (2020), and Stepfather 1987. (I didn't like the IM remake. I like the original. Not at all because I have a crush on Claude Raines. None. Why you would even think that? *nervous laughter*)

Currently watching: Alone season 10 and Frasier season 4.

Other stuff I watched this year: I mainly listen to/watch lets plays, so lots of Bushwhack18 (who's horse is that?), ManlyBadassHero, Markiplier, Jack Septiceye, Gab Smolders, CoryxKenshin, BigGaming64, and the like.

Shows I dropped this year/didn’t finish: I'm LITTERALLY in the final season of DS9, but stopped because I've binged watch so many episodes I need a break. (Also, I need more Vorik in my life and he's on Voyager).

Currently reading: Published book(s): Hannibal and Kolchak the Night Strangler. Fanfiction: Solar Lunacy.

Currently listening to: Die Walküre (Richard Wagner)

Currently working on: Jail breaking my psp so I can play homebrews on it and download ubuntu onto it (I'm going to try to get some itch.io games for linux and try to play them on my psp.). Also working on making fake blood for Halloween and prepping for the frost that will kill my spiders (mainly prepping for their harvest).

Current obsession: POTO as always (specifically ssdd 1989!). Also fell into the fandom for the Daycare Attendant from FANF: Security breach. (I just like that one character. He's the best. 10/10. Absolute golden retriever vibes. Don't care about lore, just him).

Good morning, babe. Or, maybe not? I know you were really looking forward to taking me to this “iconic alien movie” you’re showing tonight, but I won’t be able to go. I’m sorry Tom. 

Carey just commed me. He injured himself in the gym this morning, tripped when he was running and twisted his knee pretty bad. The Doctor told him to stay off of it for 24 hours, so no working today. Vorik and I are going to split his beta shift. Which means I won’t get home until around 2200. He’s covered a lot for me lately, especially for our last minute honeymoon, so I need to help him out. I’m going to come up with something to make up for our missed date night.
