Colors: That really bright blue colour thats probably one of the highlighter options on Microsoft word.

Favorite Ships: ALLLLLLL. Ok not true but most of them especially in critical role where everyone is so goddamn shippable with everyone else good god. We can omit Caleb/Gluzo from that statement however because despite a very intentionally targetted and persuasive fic I am STILL NOT ENTIRELY SOLD :P

Last song: Overgrown by machineheart bc that MASSIVE cr playlist is wonderful and this song gives me so many Keyleth feels that I just get tingles every time I hear it it's amazing.

Last movie: Endgame. I....................did not like it.

Last book: The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi. I love this book so muuuuuch. It isnt perfect but it hits on a lot of things I've just really wanted to see explored in fantasy for a while. It's got a great ensemble cast too I love all of them ackkkkk.

It is so incredibly, bitingly cold. Snow is falling out of the dark sky, and oh how dark it is now. The snowflakes, pretty in the air but so dangerous once they pile up on the ground. Bare, clawed feet pat across the white streets, leaving behind pitiful prints. The little goblin, hiding green skin and glowing eyes underneath a flimsy scarf, has long since lost the feeling in her feet. She thinks she’s still walking and though she cannot feel it, she can see it in the way houses pass by her. Oh the houses, she thinks, so beautifully lit, warm and filled with people, families, food, so much food tonight.

Mini-Critical Robin: The Tiny Critical Role Fic Round Robin Challenge

Hi Critters!  This summer I organized a Critical Role Fic Round Robin Challenge and it was a ton of fun (you can see many of the resulting fics here).  However, it was also a big obligation and some people couldn’t participate because of that and now a lot of tumblr users are back at school.

So let’s do a Mini-Round Robin!

Details below the cut.

What is a Fic Round Robin?

Did you ever do that kids activity where you fold a piece of paper into three parts and draw the head of a creature then you fold it back so only the bottom lines are visible and pass it to someone else who draws the middle of the body and folds it back and passes it to someone else who draws legs and when you unfold it you had something like an Elephant Space Alien Ostrich?

Yeah, that, but with fic.

Start what you think is a fluff piece about Fjord and Jester and pass it to the next person, who can clearly see that this is meant to be angst.   They pass it on, read what was written, and it is clearly a piece about Fjord and Caleb.  By the time it gets back to you, you have to figure out how to make this a coherent piece of fiction.

What Does That Really Mean?

So here are the nitty-gritty details:

Mini-Critical Robin will run for two weeks from Oct 1st to Oct 15th (with some stretch time at the back end).

You will be put into a group of 5 or 6 people (depends on how many people sign up)

Start a story by writing about 250 words (I really recommend you don’t write more than 500 words for this Mini-Challenge)

Then pass it on to the next person in your group.

Meanwhile, you’ll be passed someone else’s fic.  Write 250 words and pass it on.

When your fic gets back to you, read it and revise and finish it.

Then post it!

During that two week period, each group will co-write about six (6) 1,750 word fics.  That breaks down to a little over 100 words a day for each participant!

*psst*  Now, here’s the fun part.  When you get someone else’s fic, you’re not the one who has to make sure it works, so go wild!

*looks shiftily around* And here’s the really fun part.  When you get your fic back, you can do whatever you want to make it work, but a bunch of other people have given you the raw material to do it . . . so it’s easier than writing from scratch!

So I just got into CR a few months ago and your blog was one of the first ones I followed! I've been trying to follow more CR blogs lately since I'm all caught up. My dash is currently overflowing with CR art and meta though(and i love it don't get me wrong!), but would you happen to know of any blogs that mainly focus on memes or shitposts or just short posts in general?

oh mann, hm. i don’t think i follow anyone who only reblogs memes/shorter posts, it’s all a mix of art, meta, and shitposts. that said, @critical-yikes and @long-live-beau make occasional shitposts, although that’s not their entire blogs, and they reblog ‘em also. also @vodmod sometimes. i’m absolutely forgetting others because i tend to not remember urls very well ):
