oh no ive started looking at takumi's outfit. if i were to cosplay him that'd be like a several year commitment thing with my speed and how well i'd want to get it done, he wears expensive materials. i'd have to do so much research into how his armor is constructed bc i dont get the point of the white thing that's his collar and stuff. it's kind of like an apron in the front but in the back it's a triangle. also that piece would need very rigid structure for it to not only stay up but not slide. im not really a pattern maker and i wouldnt even know what kind of a pattern to look for as a base id modify for it. his shoulder pieces also make my brain hurt. and i think the costume would be very hot to wear and i'd risk a heat stroke any time other than in the middle of winter. im starting to think im only thinking about cosplaying him bc he might be my fave so far and he has a bow

the thing is that while i am 100% dean mechanic endgame and that's how it's going to pan out in wishes were horses, i also don't think - look, i actually don't think dean...knows...how to fix cars.

like, as in just the one. it's the only one he's ever driven, he never finished his education, just learned by example from his dad and bobby - who probably only showed him what to do on other old junkers he had lying around - and he figures out problems only as they occur, so while he is extremely familiar with one specific model of midcentury chevrolet, he only has a spotty, case-by-case working knowledge of other older cars and zero practical experience with the guts of modern vehicles. which is why at the age of forty-five he has to go to vo-tech and take auto shop before he can do it professionally

If anyone tell you it's easy to get a job in this day and age. It's a big lie and they're full of shit. Having a disability on top of things make the job search even more impossible. I get why people put so much effort into being social media influencers. It's rough out there folks. I'm not giving up though, I'm going through vocational rehab that give me job coaches. Whole that still doesn't give a guaranteed job you have people helping advocate for yourself. Sometimes I miss being a kid and having my mom go to bat for me in IEP meetings.

people say you can't always get a job you want so you just gotta bite the capitalist bullet and take what you can get, but i'm already biting the capitalist bullet by getting a job so

Don't you just love it when you spend half an hour in the car with your stepmum telling you how useless the degree you've applied for is and how you'll never get a job and all the things you should have done instead? And when she says if you were her child she'd never let you apply for that degree? And how do you not know what you want to do, you're eighteen, you should know? That you're just wasting four years of time? That you better change your degree before you go?

So I think I'm finally getting a contract and I'm going to start my new studies (as a youth/school counselor) in my old school. I met the principal today and had a talk with him, and he said he was pleased to see me there and would like to have me there because I already know my way around and seemed to manage things just fine when I was still their student. So, that's great, I'm finally getting somewhere.

But I'll have to wait until Friday because he's still not quite sure who's going to be my supervisor, so he's going to have a talk with a couple of staff members about it at first.

And then my teacher in my new school is already pressing me with contract matters and stuff, wanting me to start earlier than I had originally planned or at least get the contract done by then, so uhh. I'm going to have a Teams meeting with her on Friday at 8 o'clock in the morning (I'm not a morning person at all), and I'm sure we're going to have such a lovely discussion about my schedule and study plans and all that stuff.

All this phone-calling and paperwork is giving me a headache. And I still have some school assignments to do and to return before next week, and guess what - ya girl just wants to read and write fanfiction all day and all night. 🤪 Priorities, I has them.
